Akira rubbed her eyes with a long extended yawn. She got mistook for a boy her Freshman year and has been playing the role since. Now a Sophomore, she had another year of carefully keeping her secret, or suffering severe consequences.
She began tugging at her jacket unhappily, though the silver lining was that it kept her warm. Today was still pretty cold, not exactly sweater weather, but definitely not summer. She hated the beginning of Spring. It was still too cold to go outside. Though on the downside, she really didn't enjoy the fit of her uniform. It was baggy in all the right places to make her look even more like a male! She didn't care so much, but this made it progressively harder to get a boyfriend. She was a tomboy, but even she wanted a prom date.. Bright side! Yes, think on the bright side Akira.. at least you can join the boy's teams now. The girl teams in Britain were too easy. She enjoyed playing on the boy teams last year, even though it was tricky business. Keeping her gender a secret was NOT a cakewalk. How did I even get mistaken for a boy!? ..Well.. Her angry thoughts wavered, understanding that her short hair and anti-feminine clothes might have made her look like a teen boy who had yet to be graced by puberty. Her choice of clothing the day she took her Student ID picture didn't help in the slightest, but she decided it may make for an interesting saga of her life, especially since her chances of high school romance were next to none. It would at least stir up some controversy if anyone found out.

She let her mind wander to sports, seeing as her true gender was a bridge she'd cross when she got to it. Until anyone found out, she didn't have to worry about it. Sports.. Speaking of that...what sport am I going to try out for this year? Track maybe, or perhaps basketball. Then reality set in, she didn't actually know the rules to Soccer... she'd have to learn the game if she wanted to play that sport. She didn't really like learning new games, it was pretty boring at first, not to mention she might not make the team. Basketball it is then...

She looked up to see she was at the main gate, running for the school building excitedly. This was the first day of a new year, it was okay to be excited right? New grade, New teachers, new people, new everything. This year had to be perfect.. She was pretty awkward the year before. Most people just knew her as "The new guy from Europe." Akira walked into the building, shutting the main door behind her. Then she began to ponder on the Sophomore and Freshman pairings. She wondered if she would get a cool kid to show around, or one of those geeky-book worms? Either way, they'd best be able to keep up, cause she wasn't one to walk slow... Though the bonus points definitely had her perked up. She needed all the points she could get in math. 200 starting points definitely would smooth things over...for a while. Maybe by then she could get a tutor.

Where was I supposed to help out again..? Then she remembered, instantly running off to the hall, skidding to a stop to open the door, opening it slowly, "Is there anything left for me to help with?! I had to make sure that my grandmother was okay before I left."

She ran a hand through her hair, trying to fix it, slightly beat from running from her house to school. She felt pretty pathetic, because this was only the beginning of her exercise! She still had a junior to show around.. Hopefully she got one that wasn't too disagreeable. More importantly, she'd have to do a lot better if she wanted to join the sports teams as a boy. Taking care of grandma must have thrown off her training routine and whatnot. Gotta work harder

"You can clean the floors. Grab a broom. Most Sophomores haven't shown up yet. Relax~" said Mr. Fujima, winking at Akira, even though she was clearly male...at least to the uninformed eye. Though she doubted anyone had spies tracking her previous life in Britain. She trudged over and grabbed a broom, frowning a bit, "Really...this is how the year starts? How laaaame..."

Himeko woke up early, but why wouldn't she? Most of the night she stared at the ceiling. If looks could kill, she would have bore a large hole into the bedroom ceiling, deep enough to see the night sky from her bed. She was nervous, but she had a right to be. Ever since the 6th grade Himeko was allowed to have her retainer and best friend, Kazuhiko, present during her classes. However, the Principal to her new school has deemed his presence inappropriate and unnecessary. If she wanted to quote the woman directly, her exact words were; "I realize that being separated from your...servant?... It inconveniences you, and makes you feel uncomfortable, but that's more reason to separate you now. He is a crutch that is to be quite frank, becoming a hindrance as far as your social growth is concerned. I forbid his presence on our campus during educational hours. If I catch him on the grounds between eight and three, he will be arrested. If I catch him on school property after eight in the afternoon he will be arrested."

Himeko closed her violet eyes, the only indication that she was part of the Kitogawa family at all. She looked nothing like either one of her parents, aside from those eyes. She had her mother's eyes, and there was no denying it. When her alarm rang, she let out an annoyed huff, because if she had a choice she'd simply stay in bed ALL day. As far as Himeko was concerned, she didn't want to grace Azuline Academy with her presence if Kazuhiko wasn't welcome. Though none the less she heard the knock on the other side of the door. Rolling her eyes, she rose from the bed, smoothing out the wrinkles in her silk night gown. It was mid-thigh in length, enough to cover anything 'indecent'. Satisfied that she was proper enough to be seen, "Kazuhiko!" she shouted in a flat tone, not angry, but not excited either. There was no real emotion behind it at all. The blonde man bowed after opening the door, stepping through afterward. She instinctively spread out her arms, waiting for Kazuhiko to dress her in the Azuline Academy summer uniform. He picked up the top off the rack, unaffected by her spoiled behavior. In fact, he was quite numb to it. He saw nothing wrong with her attitude about life, because he grew up around her. He knew more about her than possibly even she did herself. He dressed her, only receiving aid when it came to the skirt. She lifted her legs to slip inside of it, but he even had to zip it up. The only clothes she applied to herself was undergarments and her gown. Though who was he to complain? The pay was good, and he actually enjoyed her company. She was never actually cruel to him or anything. He was the only person aside from her little sister that Himeko felt truly...comfortable around, for lack of a better word. There was still a lot she didn't trust even him with. She was quite...defensive. Though he had a gut feeling that something bad was going to happen. As tough as she appeared to be, she was still quite naive and fragile underneath all the layers of defense mechanisms.

He bowed once he got her fully dressed, "I will return shortly with your breakfast, Ms. Kitogawa." He smiled, rising only after he finished his sentence. It earned him a frown from Himeko, but he only chuckled. He knew she hated the title, but he couldn't risk calling her by name with the possibility of her mother listening in. He brought in a cart that had a rather extensive assortment of breakfast items on top. She eyed each choice before picking up an apple, glass of milk, and toast. She didn't eat much, so he didn't understand why they bothered. Most days she picked the same three items. Kazuhiko never would understand rich people.

Himeko ate silently, and stood when she was done. Kazuhiko took the cart out, letting the cook take over as he escorted her outside of the Kitogawa estate. There waited a car, and he opened the back door for her. She got in and he drove her to school without another word between the two of them. Once outside of Airdalen, he looked through the rear view mirror, "Nervous, Himeko-chan?" He asked with a slightly teasing voice. The blonde glared at him with malice before smiling a bit, "Not as nervous as you'll be." she retorted in a somewhat cold tone. She wasn't puppy dogs and daisies with Kazuhiko, but she was considerably nicer to him than anyone else, her little sister excluded.

She let herself out of the car, before he could open it, "You can't come, remember? I might as well get used to doing some things on my own.." She smiled at him, though it was fake. Honestly she was anxious. Who would dress her? Brush her hair? She'd never done any of that on her own before. She grabbed her bag, slamming the door shut before departing. Not offering a goodbye as she approached the building, looking it over. She followed signs until she made it inside and found the gym immediately due to it's ideal location. She hesitated outside, noticing a list of clubs... MANDATORY?! Her eyes instantly widened, and she frowned as she began looking them over. Two!? ...Not a lot to choose from... Band...and Theater. I hate this school... She thought, now in a sour mood. She entered the Gymnasium, eyes landing on a few other students. Two males making conversation in the middle of the floor, one small girl reading a book, which caused her to smile. Somewhat like what I'd do... Then she noticed a dark haired male student, who appeared that he could be model status. He and the girl both had dark hair, she felt like an outsider here. The two on the floor had lighter hair, but still. She doubted anyone came from Russia. Deciding to not focus on how she was the odd man out, she noticed something else. The very tall guy, who appeared to be well over six feet tall,(Ryou) had the same packet that her father had given her about Azuline Academy in his hands. Judging by his appearance he wasn't a Freshman, so she deduced that he was a transfer, much like herself. He's new too..?

Feeling relieved that she wasn't the only one, she decided to sit in his vicinity, but not too close. It was comforting, without the anxiety that making conversation would bring her. She wasn't able to hold conversation with average students, let alone with some guy who appeared to be straight off an Hollister advertisement. Not to mention she didn't know where else to put herself honestly.. Being uprooted from her home country, the principal denying Kazuhiko's presence... She felt like she was trying to catch air in a jar.. She started looking through the packet as well, seeing as there was nothing else she could occupy her mind with at the moment, groaning when she saw the Freshman and Sophomore pairing on the list of welcoming activities. 200 bonus points? Am I supposed to have a 4.1 GPA? She thought with a laugh, considering her's typically was a 4.0 in Russia. Though she wasn't sure if she'd have as much luck in Japan. Standards were...pretty high. She'd have to do some major studying to keep her top grades, "Seriously..? A Freshman? I barely found the Gym.." she signed hed aloud, allowing herself to gaze around the room once more. This was the school? She'd be living here five days a week?, "This seriously blows.." Her accent was foreign, but her Japanese was perfect. Probably due to her Japanese father.

"And so it begins."

It was the start of another school year. This time he would be a sophomore attending the elusive Azuline Academy, a school he had initially refused as his preference was a public school where he could effectively hide his connection both by status and by blood to the powerful Shirokami Clan. It would also serve as a place where he could get away from all of the scrutiny of the world he had been born to which many had considered to be very wonderful and worthwhile. In his opinion, it was meaningless and empty, yet there are many perspectives, just like how people are diverse. But alas, his choice had been rejected and as long as he is under the Shirokami and his Father's son, it would be rather hard for him to do as he pleases with little resistance.

Though, Aeon would resist nonetheless.

In any case, he had managed to pass his first year without much trouble or anyone noticing who he really is. He had entered the school as a Belrose which is the surname of his late mother and had been dubbed as a mixed-blood which was true. It was also not unique as many of the students here are of different ethnicity. Though, he had been informed by the principal and by his own observation, he had gained quite the following around the academy even those who are his seniors despite without revealing his true background. He found it rather odd and confusing as to why there would be people who admire him. There is no recollection he had been amiable or friendly to anyone. Yet, it had been explained to him by the principal that it was due to his peerless masculine beauty, excellent intellect shown through his exemplary grades, and being very athletic as a member of the Kendo and Tennis Teams.

That was rather very shallow in his personal opinion. He had not done anything profound to gain their admiration. In fact, his personality and distinctive desire to be left alone and not to be engaged in frivolous matters are very prominent in his dealings towards anyone. It also adds that his scope of expressions and emotions only ranges to one, indifference. Basically, he is a loner and has this presence which casts a certain barrier around him that denotes of superiority and coldness to those who he deemed no value to his eyes. Well, it usually revolves everyone around him. Well, whatever they think they would gain with such useless activities, it does not concern him as long as they do not interfere with his daily life that is.

He prefers to be left alone to his own devices and as such does not have anyone who could be called as his friends. There are acquaintances but that is all. He has a very defined border established around him where no one is allowed to get in. Frankly, he is completely fine with it. Solitude was far better than anything else and that is how he always started his day. He stays at a nearby condominium on his own. Though, he only graces it during the weekends, school breaks, and such. After all, the academy has its own dorm for all students to use during the school days. It does give him reason to stay away from the Shirokami Main House.

As for going to places, he simply uses the bus or a cab if there is any place he wants to go to, but if not and near, he walks when the distance is something he is not troubled with. And, it was the latter for him at the moment. The morning was still a bit chilly despite being spring, but not something he is troubled with. Instead, he found it pleasant as he walked through the pathway where the cherry blossoms had bloomed. The pink petals gently swayed and fall in a whimsical manner. He could not help but take a pause in his step and admire the pink-tiered trees. It reminded him of something and it was a good one.

Thinking about it, the beginning of this school term would require more responsibility of him. He had been assessed to enter a new program where he as a sophomore would have a freshman entitled to his care. The extra points given for the grades were not needed by him, but he had agreed due to one condition.

"Uhm... Go-good morning, Belrose-san!"
ImageImageImage
His cherry blossom viewing and inner machinations were interrupted as he looked at the cause. It was a girl who goes by the name Aya Hakurei, the daughter of a cabinet member. She was in his class last year. Aeon could see the faint blush staining her cheeks and it seemed to take much courage to greet him as she was looking at her feet after saying her piece. She was not alone as well as she has her friends at a nearby distance, moral support it seems. "Good morning, Hakurei-san." He stated with his monotone voice and passive expression. At the same time, he offered an acknowledging nod to her companions. The mere recognition and gesture seemed enough to make their hearts flurry evident through the deepening red across their cheeks.

"How was your vacation? Uhm… I... I hope it was good and that we're classmates again this year." She said in a rather shy manner while looking at him with expectation and a smile. Unfortunately, he had no use for such antics and whatever she was expecting from him was not going to be given to her. "I see. I will excuse myself now. I have something to do." He gave a polite nod and turned his back at them making his way towards the gates and to the venue where the entrance ceremony would be held. Along the way, his phone alerted him to a new message. He took it out and read its content. It seemed the condition he had presented for him to participate in the Principal's new program has finally arrived. He answered with his own message before keeping his phone away. Soon, he arrived at the place where there are parents, teachers, students who have duly gathered. Still, it was not yet time for the ceremony to start. There was still some time left apparently making him early.

As for him, Aeon waited by the doors. There was someone he would need to meet and make sure would not make a scene. However, he could hear some of the students who noticed his presence began murmuring in delight. This must be what the principal said about his fans. He had a certain feeling that the peace he had last year would be greatly disturbed. Whether that was for the good or not, he had yet to conclude.

A blonde was sleeping in the back seat of her Grandmother's car when it came to a complete stop just outside of Azuline Academy. The elderly, but uncharacteristically energetic woman reach back and shook her granddaughter, "Arietta, Dear, you've got to wake up. We're at the Academy. It's time to go to school. You can't expect to sleep all day, Ari-chan." Mrs. Hakushiro teased, running her fragile fingers through the blonde hair of the young Freshman. It was so different compared to her own. Her grey hair was once jet black, similar to Mr. Hakushiro's. The blonde came from that side of the family. A frown formed on her face, but her thoughts were interrupted when the blonde finally came to. Arietta's blue eyes fluttered open and she sat up slowly. After a moment of adjusting to consciousness, she rubbed her eyes with a cheerful laugh as well. She didn't even realize that she had fallen asleep. A new start huh..? She thought to herself enthusiastically as she could, given the circumstances of her abrupt move.. Well.. bright side no one here knows about my.. habit.. She ran a hand through her hair, eyes lowering as she felt the absence of her pendant, "Arigatou, Baachan..." She added before sliding out of the car, closing the door quietly behind her, "I can walk home this weekend. I've got my cellphone." She reassured her, wishing to get fresh air. It hadn't been too long since the incident, and moving to a new school didn't change the fact it happened. Her grandmother seemed a bit skeptical, but hesitantly nodded in approval. She waved to the blonde girl before driving off. Once she was out of view, Arietta sighed, closing her eyes and gripping her school bag nervously. I wonder if I will be able to become popular before graduation.. Sure my grandfather owns a multi-million dollar company, but the money...we never see it. He only brings in a little over a million US dollars a year. It was strange, but she decided to not worry on it too much. She wasn't an expert when it came to distributing pay checks to an entire company. Maybe 1.3 Million was the remainder once he paid off his employees? Though it didn't seem logical. The company earned well over 200 million annually. Every major business bought into her grandfather's company, including Azuline Academy. Every cellphone and computer...it all was monitored by her Grandfather's program.

She kept her pace slow as she approached Azuline Academy, eyes wandering loosely over it, until she realized just how grand the building truly was. Sugoi.. it's beautiful.. She thought in amazement. As she approached the building she that the school grounds were full of students. She passed a dark haired student (Aeon), much taller than her, but didn't stop to catch his name or face due to her nerves. She did her best to shake them off before opening the front doors, strutting through the halls confidently, although she was faking the entire show she put on. She felt uneasy about starting at this new school. It was risky switching schools in high school, what if she fell to the bottom of the social pool? She dismissed her uncertainty for now, heading to the Gym. Several people were inside. One boy was sweeping (Akira) while two others socialized with him (John and Kaoru). Two students were being antisocial, studying up on the school and it's programs she assumed, judging by the pamphlets in their hands (Himeko and Ryou). She noticed two girls were conversing on the bleachers as well, though one seemed to have been reading a book (Hikari and Rin). Not feeling prepared to socialize, Arietta found a broom and began sweeping as well, albeit rather pitifully. I suck at chores... I hate this place already.. I've got no friends.. Why did this have to happen? She thought in a whiny tone, but it was better than standing there awkwardly.

"I have already informed Master Aeon of our arrival. Now, Elle I would ask of you to behave yourself." This was the stern reminder of Hotaru who was both the female caretaker and protector of the eldest daughter of the Argyris Family, Cassiopeia who was excited while looking out the car’s window. "Look! Look! Look at that building Hotaru! That's a temple, right?!"

Image

It can't be helped as this would be the first time that Cassiopeia had ever been out of the Argyris Castle in Greece and her entering a school. She was strictly home-schooled for many reasons. Hotaru coughed a bit to reel Cassiopeia's excitement a bit back and for the younger girl to listen. "I wouldn't be around you all the time and you would be under Master Aeon’s care while you stay there at the academy. Don't cause him problems." Cassiopeia immediately looked at Hotaru with a pout. She knew there are times she could be a handful but, it's not like she's a trouble magnet or something. "Why does it sound you don't trust me on my own?"

Hotaru looked at Cassiopeia with those serious green eyes as her blonde hair had been pulled back into a ponytail as she wore a black suit which gave an illusion that she is a man. The purpose of this is not to deceive but of convenience and comfort. She also looked more like of an American than that of Japanese given her name. It couldn't be helped as she is of mixed parentage. "I know you well enough. Do remember that Master Aeon is attending Azuline not as a Shirokami, so please mind how you address and talk to him in front of others." Cassiopeia was still pouting as she then released a huge sigh. "I understand..." She knows that Aeon has his reasons for doing that, so she won't meddle with his affairs. It would be a bit difficult, but she would manage it. She was after all granted permission to study abroad in the pretense to know and to spend time with her fiancé. She was really glad to get out and to enjoy the atmosphere of a new land. She was a bit sad and guilty of leaving behind her family for her own selfishness especially her twin brothers who cried a flood when they heard she was going to leave them to study in Japan for a while. But, she really needed this. She would write, call, and do that Skype thing every day to ease the loneliness she had caused to them.

"Hotaru, thank you for helping me to come here." Cassiopeia said with a bright smile. Hotaru is really strict with her safety but, it's understandable. Even then, Hotaru helped to persuade her parents in allowing her to study at Azuline, so, she was really thankful to have Hotaru's support. "Show me gratitude by not being too reckless Elle." Hotaru countered with a small smile as she handed a paper to Cassiopeia who looked at it curiously before taking it. "That would be your class schedules as a sophomore and it seems you have been added to a program where you will be having a freshman partner. It is to promote camaraderie and so on. Master Aeon is also a part of it." Cassiopeia's eyes brighten that it would compete with the sun itself. "A freshman partner!? That's exciting! I can't wait! I want to be friends!" She said happily while reading the paper given to her with enthusiasm. "Aeon will have one too, right? This is so cool!" She then looked at Hotaru with such thrill and happiness. "I can't wait to arrive there! It would be the best!"

Hotaru shook her head at this but then warmly smiled at her charge. "Just don't overexert yourself, okay?" Cassiopeia nodded happily at this. "I won't!" They soon arrived at Azuline Academy where Cassiopeia looked at it in amazement not because of its structure. She was pretty used to extravagant architectures. It was because she was going to be a proper high school student now. Hotaru went out of the car and opened Cassiopeia's side of the door. Cassiopeia said her thanks cheerfully as she stepped out of the car with her school bag in hand. Her things should already been sent to her assigned room. "Master Aeon should be waiting for you at the gymnasium. I will be coming back after school to check if everything is fine along with your accommodations. Elle, have a good day and take care of yourself." Cassiopeia smiled happily at this. "All right! See you later!" She then started walking towards the gates with an extra skip to it as Hotaru watched over her until Cassiopeia was out of her sight. "Be safe. I will leave everything to you Master Aeon."

Cassiopeia had a wonderful smile on her face as she walked through the hallways. She didn't notice the stares and looks going towards her way. It was not that easy to ignore her presence as she has a rather striking appearance both odd, yet incredibly beautiful on her. She has long white hair and brilliant red eyes which both contrasted greatly to the uniform she is wearing right now. She was peculiar yet very nice to the eyes. It also adds that she is a new face where many who are well-acquainted with the who is who in the world of the upper echelons might have deduce her background just by her looks which is a signature trait for a very prominent family who is both rich and powerful.

She soon found the area where the opening ceremony would be held. She took a deep breath and gave herself a mental pep talk. She then opened the doors. There seemed to be other students, teachers, and parents sitting already, but she didn't get a good look at them all as her eyes immediately landed on a very familiar face whose owner was apparently waiting for her. Her face lit up with joy as she forgotten the reminders that Hotaru had told her earlier at the car. "Aeon!" She ran towards him as she gave the man an embrace, unaware that she is making quite a scene as she literally jumped towards Aeon. "I'm finally here! I missed you!" She said without reservation as she has a happy yet gentle smile on her face. That was one way to make an impression as the onlookers looked at her with surprise and curiosity.

"Daniel"
The boy didn't stir, but he had heard the voice.
"Daniel!"
He fidgeted a bit, but fell still soon after.
"DANIEL! If you want to eat out then you'll have to get up now!"
"Alright, alright."

Daniel sluggishly made his way out of the covers to his bed. Not far away, Cato impatiently twirled the keys to the car waiting in the garage. He was already dressed in a black suite, the expensive watch on his wrist catching the glint of the morning sun through the windows. Daniel's bodyguard/butler/mentor/a lot of other things took a seat outside the boy's rather spacious room. After sitting on the edge of his bed and staring out the window a few seconds, Daniel made his way to the restroom and went through the morning routine. The boy promptly exited the room dressed and washed, following Caleb at a brisk pace to the waiting car.

The Lexus was a rather striking figure, even laying at rest in the enclosed space. Daniel hopped into the back seat as his bodyguard went ahead with opening the garage door and pulling out of the drive way. It was rather early, and the sun had risen not too long ago, giving off more of a glow through the cloud cover rather than the bright shine brought by noon.

"Nice day, isn't it Caleb? I always liked the warm glow the sun gives off through the clouds." The relationship between the boy and his bodyguard was rather good, almost like a friendship.
"Yeah, it sure is." Caleb replied while turning into the breakfast restaurant. Daniel had wanted to go to one of those pancake houses. Considering this was Japan, they weren't as numerous as they were back in the U.S. but Caleb had done his research.
"Wow, it's been some time since I've had pancakes. Do you like pancakes too?" The two got out of the car and Caleb locked it up with the push of a button.
"Eh, they're fine. I never really had a 'favorite' breakfast dish."

They were seated at a window booth and given their menus.
"I'm going to have the 'House Breakfast.'" Daniel said to the waiter not long after.
"I'll have the farmer's omelet." The waiter thanked them and stated that he'd return shortly.

"How are you feeling about school starting up again?"
"It's a lot earlier than I'm used to." School normally didn't start until September in America. "Honestly, I feel a bit cheated out of my vacation." The duo shared a light laugh.

Their waiter returned with the food, and after the two had finished, Daniel instructed Cato to leave a generous tip.
"Daniel, the waiter could spill a bottle of grape juice on you and you'd still leave a tip of 40%." Caleb said after they had gotten back in the car and were well on their way to the school.
"I don't know if I'd go that far, but maybe if it was clear soda." The young aristocrat replied with a smile.

Soon, they had arrived at the school parking lot and Caleb put the car into park.
"Be careful out there Daniel, I'm not gonna be their to tell you who's alright and who's not. You'll have to maek that decision for yourself."
"Oh come on Caleb, you think everyone's out to get me."
"That's my job...you sure you don't want to at least try-"
"No" Daniel cut him off. "You read it, you're not allowed in their. I'll see you soon anyway."

Daniel exited the car alone and made his way through the front door and down the halls of the school. Nobody really seemed to mind him, despite the fact that his blonde hair made him stand out a bit. Nobody really knew him here, but Daniel didn't really have a problem with that, he was fine with making new friends. Outside what seemed to be the room where the 'opening ceremony' of sorts was meant to take place, Daniel spotted a couple embracing (Aeon and Cassiopeia). They seemed to be Sophomores, but he wasn't too sure of himself. Leaving the two alone, the boy entered the welcoming room.

Unfamiliar faces and figures scattered the area. Boy here, girl there. A Sophomore to his right, Freshman to his left. A couple heads of blond hair caught his eyes (John and Arietta), Daniel hadn't thought the population would be this diverse. The aristocrat made his way towards the female, partly because she didn't already seemed occupied, and partly because of the rather sad look on her face as she sweeped the floors.

"Hi there," A curious look took over his face. "Should I be helping with the cleaning too?" More than actually wondering, Daniel had just used the question as a conversation primer. He didn't really want to ask how she was doing, 'not so good' was obvious.

ATTENTION: Mr. Fujima Post

Mr. Fujima rushed to the stage with a smirk spread across his facial features. His golden eyes scanned the room as he grabbed the microphone, unhooking it from the stand, "Attention all students. Please put your cleaning supplies in the gym's broom cupboard and take a seat on the bleachers in a neatly fashion while I make a few back to school announcements before the real fun starts~" He added in a cheerful manner. He ran a hand through his crimson hair, waiting for everyone to follow through with his instructions before continuing, "I know you all missed the lovely Azuline staff, and I just can't wait to get to know this year's Freshman class." He winked to the crowd, mostly focusing his words toward the female students present. That is, until Principal Riyumiya cleared her throat and gave him a hardhearted glare. He chuckled, going through the flash cards in his hands, dropping a few due to her intimidating gaze. He quickly scooped them up and tugged at his tie nervously, "A-anyways~ First off I would like to inform everyone that the lovely lady standing behind me is your new Principal, Ms. Riyumiya. Secondly, Ms. Riyumiya is responsible for the numerous scholarships that have been distributed to several less fortunate, but highly qualified students. There will be an end of year exam for all students, but it is especially important for all students attending on a scholarship to score a seventy percent or higher if they wish to attend Azuline Academy next year. Lastly, I shall announce the Freshman and Sophomore pairings. All Juniors and Seniors are free to head on to class, we have a few social exercises planned for our first and second year partners. If you have ANY questions, I am always here to listen to my students~" he cooed in a flirtatious voice as the principal glared him into submission once more. He shivered, before shaking off the murderous intent of her stare and quickly began reading off names, "As I call your name, stand on the floor." He waited for the upperclassmen to leave before he announced the first pairing.

"Second year; Akira Miyuu is paired with First year; Rin Tateyama." He pointed to the gymnasium floor, ushering for the two to rise and join each other on the stage. Then he continued on with the rest of the pairs, "Second year; John Prescott is paired with First year; Arietta Hakushiro." As he announced their names their picture on their Student ID card flashed across the presentation board behind him for all to see, mostly so everyone would be able to identify their partner, "Second year; Himeko Kitogawa is paired with First year; Daisuke Li Kara." The then began a second row of teams, wanting the pairs of two to line up across the gym floor in rows of three, "Second year; Ryou Giou is paired with First year; Hikari Ushino." the other staff including kind and naive Mrs. Ryoma and stern Ms. Aizaka aided the teams in where they should stand as Mr. Fujima continued, "Second year; Cassiopeia Elegy Argyris is paired with First year; Daniel Trist." then he cleared his throat, naming off several other pairings before finally reaching the last pairing, "Second year; Aeon Belrose is paired with First year; Kaoru Inoue." The teacher grinned as the pairings formed, giving each of them a chance to find their partner before finishing his statement to the students, "You are to escort your Freshman partner around campus and help them settle in to their dorm room. Those who are ranked above an 80% by their Freshman partner will receive a reward. Anyone caught being difficult or rude to their partner will have Two hundred points deducted from their grade. This includes the Freshman class. Have fun, and please remember that I am always here to help students in need~"

"Nah, sorry man. I just was told to start cleaning. I have no clue."

The brunet boy (Akira) replied, and Kaoru let out a sigh of disappointment. He really hoped one of the other students had an idea of where he was supposed to go. Though at least the guy was nice enough to give an answer and not make him feel like an idiot. The boy seemed to know his way around cleaning, seeing as the section of the floor he was cleaning was spotless. Kaoru stepped back, aiming to not dirty up the already clean floor. He didn't want to step on any toes so early in the game. Then the tall blond (John) spoke up, Kaoru's golden eyes shifting to him, head tilted up due to their height difference. He didn't feel too bad about it, seeing as the brunet boy was close to his own height. At least he wasn't the only one.

"Not so sure myself, I'd try one of the staff."

The blond wasn't rude about it, but the brunet came across as a little more approachable. The fact that neither of them knew bummed him out a bit, so he just ruffled up his own brown hair, making the array of locks untidier than ever, "Thanks anyways guys. I'm Kaoru Inoue by the way. I'm a First year."

"Attention all students. Please put your cleaning supplies in the gym's broom cupboard and take a seat on the bleachers in a neatly fashion while I make a few back to school announcements before the real fun starts~"

"See you guys around I guess."

"Nice meeting you." Kaoru waved and made his way to the bleachers. He sat down to himself, seeing as he really didn't want to strike up conversation during the announcements. This was his first day at this new school and he wanted to listen carefully. What if they mentioned something important? He didn't want to miss out because of pointless chatter. Besides, he'd have plenty of time to flirt with girls and get into trouble AFTER the announcements and once school really got started. He found that people were much easier to approach in the classroom.

"A-anyways~ First off I would like to inform everyone that the lovely lady standing behind me is your new Principal, Ms. If you have ANY questions, I am always here to listen to my students~"

Scholarships? Doesn't seem in that woman's nature. She looks pretty bitchy. There has to be something in it for her. She doesn't exactly cross me as a charitable woman. He thought to himself, eyeing the faculty. The man speaking (Mr. Fujima) seemed to be a lot like himself, he knew instantly he would most likely enjoy that teacher's class, regardless of his bad grades. End of year exam? It decides whether or not scholarship students get to continue attending? Harsh, but I understand. If they're getting a free ride they should earn it... That tuition wasn't cheap. He watched the faces cross the screen as pairings were listed, but his attention wasn't grabbed until he saw a familiar face. He instantly grinned. He didn't give Kaoru his name, but due to this system, no one had to. The teachers would do it for him.

"Second year; Akira Miyuu is paired with First year; Rin Tateyama."

The boy from earlier? He's a Sophomore? Kaoru was a bit surprised, seeing as the boy was around his own height, but a year older as well. It made Kaoru feel a LOT better about being vertically challenged. So his name is Akira? I'll have to remember that. The girl he got paired with is kind of cute, doesn't exactly seem like my usual type, but definitely cute. He smirked a bit as he tried to remember faces to names, repeating their names five times in his head as pictures of their faces crossed the screen. This presentation felt like homework enough.

"Second year; John Prescott is paired with First year; Arietta Hakushiro."

That's the other guy! Kaoru's eyebrow raised as he eyed the picture of John's partner. He was growing interested in this program now. He was really looking forward to getting paired with a cute older girl. Now SHE is really cute. He thought to himself with a goofy grin on his face. Blonde hair, blue eyes... Kaoru was ready to jump from his seat and introduce himself, but he doubted he'd make it three feet near her before the teachers caught him. Detention wasn't worth it. He could wait a few hours to introduce himself. He went through countless names and faces after that, bored out of his mind. He gave up after the first twenty names, that is until he finally heard his own.

"Second year; Aeon Belrose is paired with First year; Kaoru Inoue."

That's....a guy.. Kaoru's head instantly dropped in a moment of depression. Was he really asking for too much? All he wanted was to be paired with a cute sophomore girl. Was that so much to ask? Everyone else got a cute girl... This isn't fair... He stood up, letting out a calm breath before forcing a smile back onto his face. He was good at sucking it up, that's what he had to do his entire life. If he couldn't move past disappointment, he'd still be the little boy crying over his parent's gravestones. He had to keep going, and take life with a grain of salt, or he'd never survive. He made his way across the stage, looking for the other guy in the picture.

"Your partner hasn't made it on the stage yet." Mrs. Ryoma said, tapping Kaoru's shoulder.

He blushed a bit, seeing as the teacher was very attractive and he nodded his head, allowing her to move him to his designated spot. Several pairs hadn't formed in a line yet, but the list was on the screen so they could line up at any time. He wasn't too worried, yet. Maybe I'll get a female partner if he doesn't show up~ Kaoru thought to himself optimistically, but decided to not get his hopes up TOO much. He didn't want to offend his partner and lose 200 points from day one.

"Unruly days have descended..."

Upon hearing his name with that very familiar voice, Aeon looked at that direction only to be met with a force that can only be defined coming from a certain white-haired girl. He had managed to catch the said girl who threw herself at him without much regard. It was inevitable as this very reckless and naive showing of care would lead to many gossips circulating the school soon enough. He could already hear at most some murmurs of the other bystanders around them being from a couple, relatives, being so bold in showing their affection for each other, the heartbreaks of his so-called fan club. It seemed that his peaceful days had been officially broken and despite all of that, he would carry on. After all, this is to be expected from this aristocratic lady of the Argyris line.

"Good morning, Cassiopeia." Aeon greeted her as his hands were firmly planted at his sides as the girl has her arms around him. It was good that he has a good sense of balance and had sturdy feet which made it impossible for him to be toppled over. If he didn't keep his ground, both of them would be on the floor and somehow, he believed that Cassiopeia would not mind that at all. The girl had always been spontaneous in her actions, uninhibited and true. "It is good to see you have arrived safely." Despite the long interlude, years, before their meeting now, she had not changed much. He did expect the enthusiasm but to experience it firsthand was still something left to be desired. "I believe Hotaru had already told you what you need to know." He had informed Cassiopeia's guardian about the details in attending Azuline with him.

Then, Aeon placed a hand upon her cheek. It was so light much like fleeting feather. Yet, it was enough to convey his concern. "Do not strain yourself too much." His words that were always detached and indifferent now held a tinge of warmth in them as his deep violet eyes reflected her image solely. Still, it was much like a mirage as he returned to his distinctive self and his hand returned to his side. "It is time." He announced as he gently removed the slender arms around him and lead the way to the gymnasium.
ImageImageImage
Once inside, it was unavoidable as eyes of the others students flocked on them. These included that of the staff and the parents. Aeon noted it due to Cassiopeia's striking appearance and to those who know well enough the world of the rich, the status of the one known around the social circles as Snow White is rather intriguing, even more so when she was being accompanied by him who has a rather ambiguous background due his origin being hidden. Though, the other reason was because of him, he had become some kind of an icon at Azuline. "Let us take a seat here." He stated while pointing to a pair of seats unoccupied. When she had settled in, he took his place by her side. After all, he is her escort and caretaker while she attends school. This is somewhat similar to the program which was being announced by Fujima-sensei as the ceremony had begun.

Then, the names of the selected sophomores and freshmen were called to the front. He sat there patiently as names and pictures were announced and presented. Cassiopeia was called first and then him in which he led the way to the floor where the other teachers guided them in a rather distinct respectful distance. Not taking long, Aeon found his assigned freshman named, Kaoru Inoue, a male which in his personal opinion would be easier to handle than a female. He recalled the interaction he had with Hakurei Aya earlier. It would be troublesome to be a source of affection just because he has to play nice. However, is that not the case always? It seemed that the new Principal expected their full cooperation where penalties to their overall grade had been placed. They must participate and not be rude to each other. This does not bode well for many things; however, he does not mind the conditions as long as his indicated partner would not be a nuisance to his own progress.

In any case, Aeon opted to introduce himself despite that being obvious already in the announcement. That is proper manners and decorum so to speak as he stood in front of Inoue where other students especially girls were clearly enamored with his presence and the guys were rather sizing Kaoru as if indicating if he is fit to partnered up with Aeon. "Good morning. I am Belrose Aeon, your sophomore partner." He stated in a formal and polite way yet, there was a noticeable distance in it. "If you have any questions about the academy, do not hesitate to ask me. I will aid you to the best I can." At the end of the day, Aeon will do what is expected and asked of him due to duty and responsibility. However, it will always be do so under his own rules and his own preference. That is simply how he is and would only conform if it has a benefit to him which most or all do not notice. "Welcome to Azuline Academy."

"Good morning. I am Belrose Aeon, your sophomore partner."

Kaoru gave the other guy a once over, a little intimidated by the height difference, but he perked up a bit as the guy spoke. The guy spoke almost as if he had a gun to his head.. then Kaoru smirked. He was businesslike in appearance, and Kaoru, being his normal trouble making self decided to use this to his advantage. Kaoru wanted a good grade and this guy, Aeon, didn't seem too enthusiastic about this scenario, "I'm Kaoru Inoue, it's a pleasure..." Then he peeked behind Aeon's back, letting out a snicker. Apparently this guy had his own entourage, and judging by this first encounter, Kaoru guessed he wasn't enthusiastic about that either. This was the best time to shoot his proposition at Aeon, "I need the grade this event awards us, whether you decline my offer, or accept I will not dock points from you... but I was thinking we could make an agreement that we will give each other a perfect score, on this event and all to come... " His brown eyes stared up to Aeon's violet eyes, serious and unflinching.

"If you have any questions about the academy, do not hesitate to ask me. I will aid you to the best I can. Welcome to Azuline Academy."

The optimistic boy had more than just a playful attitude to him, he was mischievous when he chose to be... and he wasn't really fond of being forced upon someone, "I thank you for the warm welcome, and either way I look forward to the tour... but I think we would both enjoy this a lot more, knowing our GPA's are in good hands, ne?" Then a smile finally broke through on the short boy's face.

Kaoru didn't want to admit it, but inheriting his family business definitely was changing his perspective. He was judging opportunities better, in every aspect of his life. He didn't quite understand it, but it was changing him slowly. He was still the energetic and happy-go-lucky boy he'd always been, but death, inheritance, it didn't leave him untainted. He dropped the topic for a moment, peeking around Aeon again, the girls still being obnoxious, "So what's the deal with them anyway? Are you a sports captain or something? They're really taken by you." He snickered, then quirked an eyebrow. A lot of guys were staring as well, and Kaoru actually felt like they were more angry than the girls..but he turned his attention back to Aeon. He desperately wanted to blow off that thought, "Why are guys staring too..? That's a little..." He tugged at the tie around his neck awkward, "Strange..." he added with a nervous laugh. He felt like he had a sign plastered to his forehead right about now that screamed his ultimate secret; -I am bisexual.-

"Unruly days have descended..."

A business proposition at the very first meeting. This Kaoru Inoue was either bold or stupid. In Aeon's opinion, the guy was tethering in between. The terms of the agreement being proposed did not have any particular bad hindsight for him. It would make this program proceed smoothly for him without much interaction with the freshman. However, there was one thing contradicting to his nature. "I will give what you deserved, Inoue-san." That is simply how he is. It does not bother him giving perfect scores if asked. The bottom line though he would make sure that the individual is worthy of it. Rewards must be relative to what the person has accomplished and worked hard for. It does not mean anything when things are given just on a whim. Furthermore, it would do good for this freshman partner of his, a helpful knowledge in the future.

In any case, Aeon could already see that Inoue would be a handful. Yet, he was quite used to such matters. There was his family and anything associated with that. He would adapt to it and make it his own soon enough. In regards to their so-called GPA's. His was not maintained because he desired it. Such things just come to him even if he puts little effort or none at all. So, it never crossed his mind that his grades would be one day in the hands of another. That idea indeed was not likable to him though, he was already here and would do as stated by the principal. After all, he could have rejected this, yet, he did not for a certain someone, so to say. "Whether it is in good hands or not, that entirely depends on you." He noted as he is not mindful of Inoue's rather snickering and fox-like machinations.

Then, the topic was dropped which he had a conclusion would be picked up again sooner or later. However, his decision on that matter will not change no matter what instances are presented before him. Something he had been told to be a striking resemblance to his mother who carried everyone to her energetic rhythm. Yet in the end, that is all there is to it, a lingering likeness. Well, his reminiscing was interrupted due to a question about a certain group of students. If he was right to assume, it would be his group of admirers or more appropriate, a fan club. It was completely nonsense in his opinion. These people must have better things to do in their spare time than to literally gawk at him. Somehow, this reminded him of a certain retainer who was fortunately not in Japan at the moment.

ImageImageImage
His gaze moved to the group which Inoue had commented about. Those deep violet eyes of his did not reveal anything which was actually the norm for him. The girls immediately blushed on sight, some waved at him and even muttered their morning greetings. Others, they were rather shy and simply looked away while fiddling with anything their hands could reach. But no matter they did, it was evident they were happy that he looked at them even if that is all he did. "They seemed to have develop an image of me in their heads." He answered in his usual indifference as that is what he actually intend to do with this debacle. Although, he had an inkling that Cassiopeia would find this very entertaining and someone how this was the same for Inoue. "I am part of two sports club. But, I am not captain. Seniors take that role."

Returning his gaze, Aeon noticed Inoue's discomfort after noting about the guys staring as well. He was not certain why but according to the explanation to him. This was probably his status of him being elevated into a sort of a school idol. The girls desired his heart and the boys desired his acknowledgment. It would seem that the male populace of the school wanted to be like him, though he would highly not recommend that. He has enough problems dealing with himself. There was no more room for tackling affairs of people just like him. Moreover, it is a waste time as no one can be anyone else. Anyway, he does agree to Inoue's statement that it is strange. "Indeed, it is." He spared the guys looking at their way who immediately scattered themselves but not before bowing their heads in apology.

"Do not let them bother you." He stated as he returned his attention to Inoue. " Classes will be starting. I will show you to your homeroom." Aeon returned to the main topic in hand as to disperse the nervousness Inoue seemed to be expressing. From that point, it would appear that Inoue is uncomfortable of idea about romance between men. That is what he could interpret from that as for him, he does not care what other people's preference in love. As long as they like it, there is no problem. For him? his preference has yet to evolve in anything profound. And in the end, he is already engaged. "After classes, I will be giving you a brief tour of the facilities and help you get settled into your dormitory." He laid it out to his freshman as that was what the principal had explained to him beforehand. "Do you have any other questions?"

"Good morning too!" Cassiopeia happily greeted back. She was used to Aeon's rather standoffish personality. However, she sees a bit more to this as well. He was not turning away from her rather touchy show of attachment. He was rather a gentleman in this aspect which made her smile brighter than ever. "Well, I have Hotaru with me." It was impossible for her to come to harm if her every watchful guardian is with her. It is why she is very thankful to have such a wonderful person by her side and now there was another addition to that group of amazing people in her life, the man who is said to be her fiancé, Aeon. It has been too long since they saw each other. It has been a few years and their communication most of the time were emails and calls. That is why she is very happy to finally see him in the flesh.

"Yup! I've been briefed! I won't fail you." She stated in a very determined and sincere tone. It was also reflected on her face. That was when she felt the fluttering touch of Aeon's hand on her cheek. It was remarkably nice and warm. She could not help but smile adoringly with a faint reddening of her cheeks. These random moments from him were the best and she knows to be true. It is because he had been the kind to never show anything unless it is real. This is one of his endearing qualities if only, he could be like this to others, but, she would not change him as he is now. "Don't worry, I'l be fine, promise." He then returned to his stoic demeanor which she didn't take any offense in. She was used to it as her arms were removed around him which she allowed.

He led the way as she followed by his side while looking around. This was really amazing for her as it reflected on her wine red eyes. She had never seen so many people in one place before. The events she had attended are limited to the Argyris castle and are all private ones. She could not help but look so innocently happy like a child inside a toy store. She was really excited that she was completely oblivious to the looks she was receiving, both of curiosity, surprise, envy and so forth. The last part was due to the one beside her, Aeon.

Image

"This is so amazing, Aeon. So many people..." She noted as she followed him to their seats. She happily sat down and continued looking at everyone else. She couldn't wait for the school to finally start and meet her classmates and make friends.

That was when a staff or a teacher began to make the announcements. He seemed to be a very fun and easygoing guy to meet. The new principal and he seemed to be close. (she has an odd perception in life) It was good to see it as the teacher continued on saying that he will be announcing the pairings. She clasped her hands together in excitement as she wanted to meet the freshman she will be paired with. "I can't wait to meet mine!" She stated and then her name was called showing her picture along with her freshman, Daniel Trist. He was a boy with blonde hair. He looks nice. She stood from her seat in which Aeon's name was called afterwards. "Let's go Aeon!" She didn't wait for him as she already went down with a happy skip in her steps.

She was guided by the teachers to her line and glanced at Aeon who did the same. Cassiopeia then was face-to-face with her partner. "Hello, my name is Cassiopeia Elegy Argyris. It is nice to meet you. You can call me anything you want." She reached out her hand to him as a means of a handshake. Her smile was beautiful on her face as her red eyes gleamed with kindness and joy. "I hope we can be friends and get along well." Her cheerfulness and enthusiasm were sincere along with her words. The announcement about being ranked or not being rude to each other passed by her ear like the wind. She really didn't care about such things, because all she really wants is to enjoy her time as a student and during that time, she could make friends. Plus, it's not really much of a problem for her to get along with anyone, it has been one of her traits to be extremely positive of things and that extends to anyone she meets. "That's right, I'm kinda new too but, welcome to Azuline Academy! I hope we have a great year."

!!! Attention !!!
Mr. Fujima / Ms. Riyumiya Post
(Also my Akira post so I don't ruin my word count..)

"Now that pretty much all groups have gotten together, feel free to begin your tours. You can start anywhere around the campus, but be sure to introduce your freshman partner to the ENTIRE building by lunch period." Mr Fujima announced. He was about to continue, but was interrupted. Principal Riyumiya put her hand on his chest, signaling for him to step aside. She then proceeded to the front of the stage, taking over the announcements. She stared at the students with a stone hard gaze before clearing her throat, "All cellphones are to be turned in. We have a router that will tell us who has failed to do so and you will automatically lose one letter grade from your GPA if you're caught with your personal phone. Each student will be given a school friendly cellular device. It has every single Azuline student's number programmed into the easy to use database. All conversations are recorded, as are pictures sent. Keep it clean and we won't have issues. You are allowed to call family and outside sources with this phone, but cussing or any other indecent behavior is strictly prohibited from being spread via your new smart device. Thank you, you may begin your day." and she stepped away from the microphone, watching the students like a hawk. She didn't even seem to really care if the students realized this was really one big psychology experiment.. and they were the guinea pigs.

"I apologize, Akira-San.. but yes Rin-San is fine. Lets not go with formalities."

Akira shook her head, and waved casually in Rin's direction, silently assuring her that it was alright. Akira wondered why she was so nervous, but just brushed it off as Freshman nerves, "That's good." She replied in relief, honestly she wasn't sure if she could go an entire year calling someone by their last name. She knew it was common here, but it was still so weird to her even after living in this country for going on two years now. Everything in Japan was practically the opposite of Britain. It was a culture shock and a half when she came here. Luckily her Japanese Stepfather taught her English AND Japanese from childhood. She was as fluent in Japanese as she was her native tongue, "You don't have to apologize. I make a lot of mistakes, so we might as well just keep driving. A bump in the road won't keep us from our destination. It just makes it interesting."

"Yes I was thinking of Choir and basketball.."

"That's cool. We're going to be in a club together. I am joining Basketball for my second year in a row." She grinned at the quiet girl, a little impressed at a girl like her was going to join a sport. She didn't expect it and it made her partner a lot more appealing now. She felt guilty now for assuming that Rin would be a typical nerd, but at least she hadn't said anything out loud. She didn't ruin her chances at a possible friendship before it even started, for once. At least we'll have something to talk about from now on. Akira thought to eagerly. Was she any good? What were her favorite teams? She had a lot of questions spiraling in her head.

"But.."

Eh? Akira tilted her head at Rin, hands still jammed into her pockets. Everything about Akira's body language screamed masculinity, but her facial features were rather androgynous. It did her, nor those around her any favors. She blinked curiously, chocolate brown eyes staring intently at Rin, wondering what seemed to be bothering her.

"I'm not good at sports at all.."

....Oh. That explains it. This is going to be....bad. She thought, but kept a straight face for the girl's sake. She knew what it was like to get made fun of.. regardless of the reason, no one had a right to make fun of another's sporting ability.. at least in Akira's opinion. She rubbed the back of her neck and laughed a bit, "Don't worry. I had a bad season last year because of a death in the family. You should see a little time on the court, no matter how bad you might or might not be." She assured Rin. Akira wasn't sure why, but something about this girl's vibe made Akira feel a bit protective in an older sibling kind of way. It was weird, but she assumed it was due to the potential grade reduction. She was probably just taking her role a little too seriously in her anxiety. Akira put a warm smile on her face as she continued, "Besides, I'm doing a lot better than last year, we can practice after school. A lot of people come to the games so you'll wanna get the best you can at it. Azuline has a lot of school spirit."

"I'm guessing you're very athletic, it must be nice.. Must be in many sport clubs right, Akira-San?"

She noticed Rin's gaze and blushed a bit, laughing nervously, "I work out a lot and do gymnastics in my free time.. The school only offers; Kendo, Judo, Basketball, and Tennis... so not really. I only join Basketball. Cheerleading is the closest thing this school has to gymnastics, but be honest, do I LOOK like a cheerleader?" she asked, quirking an eyebrow at Rin. With the wig, and the fact Akira wore no makeup, she did pass pretty well for a boy. She looked about 60% masculine and 40% feminine, give or take depending on angle and if her throat was visible to others or not.

"I will give what you deserved, Inoue-san."

Oh a lesson in conduct? I'll pass. You sound like one of those bullshit motivational posters. He mused to himself and nearly laughed at him, but changed his trail of thought for a moment to suppress the temptation. He definitely wasn't going to give the offer again, but he noted the righteous denial to his offer. Walk on thin ice my friend, you're under a LOT of scrutiny as of now.

"Whether it is in good hands or not, that entirely depends on you."

Kaoru probably would have punched the guy right then and there, but there was their obvious height difference for one.. That made punching Aeon in the face rather difficult, Also his grade on this event would surely suffer for it. So he clenched his jaw, shoving his hands in his pockets so he could discreetly flex his fingers. He knew then and there that this would be an arrangement that would tempt him to commit murder, or worse suicide. Everything about Aeon was abrasive. It was starting to feel like he was paired with a kitchenware scratch pad.

"They seemed to have develop an image of me in their heads."

Kaoru understood that. Honestly his image of his Sophomore partner was a LOT different than the guy who stood before him. He imagined someone who would at least be a little more excited to have him. He felt like a piece of gum stuck to this guy's shoe. Though he felt bad for the students who adored this guy, he also felt that they deserved this treatment. By now, they had to realize he wasn't the guy that they wanted him to be... or they were really a big group of brainless nobodies. Kaoru wasn't a scholar, but he already figured out that him and this guy probably wouldn't get along.

"I am part of two sports club. But, I am not captain. Seniors take that role."

Kaoru nodded a bit and left all personal questions at that, seeing as the guy apparently had no intention of disclosing what EXACT sports he was going to be in. He did however wonder if they'd be in the same club, because Kaoru had a sport in mind as well, "I'm joining the Basketball team and Band, so I was just asking." he stated, nothing really behind his tone. Honestly he was getting pretty bored. He was really starting to feel like he'd drawn the short straw.

"Do not let them bother you. Classes will be starting. I will show you to your homeroom."

Kaoru nodded his head, about to follow Aeon to class, but there seemed to be a few last minute announcements. The teacher with maroon hair voiced that it was time to begin their tour, not classes and it brought a smirk to Kaoru's face. He kept his smug thoughts to himself, but on the inside he was enjoying the fact that Aeon was wrong about at least one thing, "Seems like the teachers have something else in mind. Last minute change of schedule I guess~?" He chimed in a very energetic voice. His good mood returned and he was more than ready to begin his day. Whether or not this guy intended to continue being a stiff was now irrelevant in Kaoru's mind. He would have fun either way, especially knowing that his partner was less that ecstatic about the event.

"Do you have any other questions?"

Kaoru opened his mouth to decline, but was interrupted once the principal finally stepped forward, taking the mic and giving her own set of announcements. He frowned a bit at the stern woman, rolling his eyes. I hate women like you, they think they're so much better than everyone else...go get laid! He shouted in his brain, but what the woman said next almost instantly shot the boy into a fit of rage. His whole body was shaking in anger as she gave her warning. WHAT!?

"All cellphones are to be turned in. Thank you, you may begin your day."

His eyes narrowed as the woman spoke, and he found out very quick that he was going to despise this woman. He dug his phone out of his pockets and stomped away to turn it in without another word, "Yeah I have two questions." He snapped, voice coated in aggravation once he returned to Aeon, his brown eyes still flaming with rage as he spoke. Apparently he was not very fond of having his phone confiscated, "WHO is that?" he asked pointing to Ms. Riyumiya with a hostile jab of his thumb in her direction. He needed to know her name, because he planned to raise a LOT of hell in her direction, "Also, can we start? I really want to get that old crone out of my sight." he mumbled, shoving his hands in his pockets. He took a few steps before pivoting on his heel to face Aeon again, gracefully waving his arm to the door, "Lead the way."

"Unruly days have descended..."

This boy is certainly going to be a troublesome responsibility for him. There are no obvious indications of that, yet he had this feeling that it would be so. Something he had experienced upon meeting his retainer Tooya for the first time. Though, he would learn from that event to be more cautious. It would be a bit hard since the principal seemed keen on making sure that the sophomore and their freshman interact. He does have an idea about the purpose of this program and how it appears that all of the participants are much like lab rats. It does bother him but, not so much he would do something about it for now. Then, he allowed his attention to move on about the clubs. Inoue was going to join Basketball and the Band. That was good. They were not in the same club. It would mean he would not play caretaker during those times, though, he does have another responsibility along the way. Well, that is life for him.

As he was preparing to lead the way, Fujima-sensei had announced that the morning period would be dedicated to the tour. That was a change he had not been informed beforehand. However, it was to be expected judging by the presence of the new principal. "So it seems." He stated while noting the sound of jubilation returning to Inoue. This surprising alteration seemed entertained his freshman partner. Though, it is not something he is overly concerned with. If Inoue desired to have fun, he would not get in that way. He then began to think of certain areas which he should let Inoue see first. While doing so, he heard the familiar voice of the principal who he had met prior to the start of classes. After all, she was to be informed of who he is, the secret needed to be kept, and in regards to Cassiopeia.

The announcement was not that surprising nor is he completely against it. To be relieved of his personal phone was a good thing, he had actually planned to not have at all from the very beginning since he had left the Main House. However, there was still advantages in having it. Though, he would now have a reason why he is not taking any calls. Taking out his phone, he approached the teacher in charge of taking the phones. He handed his and returned to his spot to wait for his freshman who appeared to infuriated about the idea of having his phone taken. Inoue immediately spouted two questions his way that leaves little to the imagination that he was irritated.

Aeon, on the other hand was still unfazed and calmly looked at the principal. "That is the new principal of Azuline, Riyumiya-san." He stated and looked at Inoue who walked ahead of him before doing an impression similar to that of host in restaurants. It seemed that it does not take a lot of thing to irate Inoue. He could already see that he would cleaning up the boy's messes, even more so if Inoue's vendetta against the principal would be turned into something factual and true. Truly troublesome, but he was not the kind who avoids the problems, he had always faced them no matter what.

Before doing anything else, Aeon glanced at the direction of Cassiopeia who seemed pretty occupied with her partner. By the looks of it, the freshman was an American named Daniel Trist as presented. It made him wonder if she would require his assistance but noticed that she was trying her best. If that was so, he would let her. And with that, he looked back at Inoue a gave a nod, the indication, he will start the tour. The freshman had stated that he wanted to join the Basketball team and the Band. Then, he would show Inoue where those clubs do their activities. "I will show you the court the basketball team uses for club activities and where the band is as well."

Leading the way, the students whom they passed by except for the freshmen would offer greetings to Aeon. As a polite response, he would do the same and be on their way. Soon enough, they reached the basketball court which was larger than the gymnasium they were in earlier. "This place is exclusive for the use of the basketball club." He opened the doors and the sound of ball could be heard. Actually, there were some students playing and upon seeing Aeon quickly stopped for a brief moment. "Ohayou! Belrose-san! Are you going to finally join us?" This was asked by a male student with a big smile on his face, and it was clear that he was but an inch shorter than Aeon. "Good morning, Ichikawa-san. And, no I will not." He was blunt as always as Ichikawa sighed in disappointment finally noticing Inoue. "So, who is this? A freshman? That's odd... Oh, the new program! You're part of it aren't you?"

Aeon nodded. "Yes, he is my freshman partner. He intends to join the basketball team." That was enough for him to say. Inoue could introduce himself without his intervention. Ichikawa gave a thoughtful nod at what was said and then smiled warmly at Inoue. "I see, welcome to Azuline then. I'm Jirou Ichikawa, the captain of the team. Call me Ichi or Ji whatever floats your boat. We welcome new blood! Do the try-outs." Another member approached them and a flier was handed to Inoue which contained the details of when the try-outs will be. "We'll be waiting for you."

"That is the new principal of Azuline, Riyumiya-san."

Kaoru glared at the woman after learning her name, staring for several moments before letting out a sigh. He had to brighten up, for the sake of his grade. He tried to think happy thoughts, puppies and kitties, anything to keep his mind off the fact that he wanted to strangle that woman with his shoe strings. I will get my revenge on that woman, if it's the last thing I do.. He thought with a hiss, but noticed that regardless of his surroundings, or what those around him said, Aeon appeared pretty calm. Kaoru was getting fairly creeped out by Aeon's perpetual tranquility. What is with this guy...does he eat Valiums for breakfast? He's...really mellow.. S-stoner!? No... he seems to pristine for marijuana.. Kaoru looked him skeptically up and down, trying to figure out what made this guy tick. He didn't seem interested in girls.. Nor did he begin talking to Kaoru about sports...just that he was in clubs... No one hated people that much.... right?

"I will show you the court the basketball team uses for club activities and where the band is as well."

Kaoru finally caught Aeon showing interest in something. A girl. He caught Aeon's gaze shifting to a girl he'd seen go across the screen. Her name was foreign so Kaoru really didn't know it.. but she was exotic. He finally understood, well he THOUGHT he understood. So he DOES like a girl... Little did Kaoru know, he would barely be able to comprehend the complexities between Cassiopeia and Aeon even if they flat out told him what was going on between them. Sure, he handled his own business, but those two were in a completely different league. He followed behind Aeon silently, until they made it to another gymnasium. H-how many gyms does one school need!?

"This place is exclusive for the use of the basketball club."

"I see... It's a lot bigger than the one inside the main building..."

"Ohayou! Belrose-san! Are you going to finally join us?"

"Good morning, Ichikawa-san. And, no I will not."

"So, who is this? A freshman? That's odd... Oh, the new program! You're part of it aren't you?"

Kaoru twitched a bit, rubbing the back of his neck. Apparently his height made his age pretty obvious.. I grew a lot over the summer! He thought to himself defensively, but at least it was the truth. He had grown four inches that summer, yet he still didn't catch up with the rest of the boys his age.. The only guy he knew personally that was his height was that Akira guy. Knowing that there was an upperclassmen about the same height as him was reassuring. He gave a kind smile to the Captain of the team, though now that he was standing in his vicinity, Kaoru felt VERY intimidated. All of the current players on the court were so tall... I thought the team was co-ed? His eyes began searching, until they landed on a female player. Instantly a grin crossed his face. He couldn't wait to participate in the try-outs.

"Yes, he is my freshman partner. He intends to join the basketball team."

Kaoru was awoke from his trail of thought as Aeon spoke up again, the brown haired boy's eyes shifting between Ichikawa and his Sophomore partner. He was frozen a bit stiff once Aeon announced that Kaoru was interested in the club, and he blushed a bit. They definitely were going to poke at him for his height now. He averted his gaze for a moment, waiting for the worst.

"I see, welcome to Azuline then. I'm Jirou Ichikawa, the captain of the team. Call me Ichi or Ji whatever floats your boat. We welcome new blood! Do the try-outs."

Then his eyes widened. The guy didn't make one crude remark about Kaoru being short, instead he was rather warm and welcoming. He tilted his head, staring straight at Ichikawa now. Wow.. This school.. it might not be so bad.. He thought with a huge grin and nodded his head, "I can't wait." He replied to Ichikawa, his cocky grin returning to his face as he grew comfortable.

"We'll be waiting for you."

Kaoru began skimming through what was written on the flier and nodded his head, "I'll be there. Arigatou, Ichikawa-san." He definitely didn't feel comfortable calling his upperclassmen his nickname as of yet, he'd save that for once he got on the team. Nervousness was about to break through his cocky grin so he waved to Ichikawa and turned to face Aeon, "Ready to go, Belrose-san?" He asked, ready to quickly leave the basketball court before the nervousness broke through.

"Unruly days have descended..."

It seemed the introductions went well. Aeon had a feeling that Inoue and Ichikawa would get along. The basketball captain was well-known for his amiable and friendly disposition which also adds to his fun-seeking activities. Ichikawa was rowdy in a sense but not too much which would land him in big trouble, minor misdemeanors credited to being young and reckless, but that is all. It was still not far of a memory that Ichikawa had consistently asked for him to join the team, for what purpose? He was not certain of that, though he had a basic idea. Regardless, Aeon was not interested in basketball and that is his simple reason refusing the invitation of Ichikawa numerous times.

That was when Inoue stated if they are ready to go. He gave a brief nod and looked at Ichikawa. "We will take our leave now then Ichikawa-san." Aeon said in which Ichikawa nodded while happily tapping his shoulder in the process. "If you ever change your mind Belrose-san, the team is willing to welcome you and..." Ichikawa glanced at Inoue with a smile. "Catch you later." Aeon simply removed the hand on his shoulder and gave a polite nod before, exiting the basketball gym. He did not see any use in answering back. After all, he had already told the Senior that he would not join. In any case, he focused himself to the next destination which would be the band as he led the way.

Azuline certainly knows how to splurge and to showcase the best facilities available for their students. Each school-approved club have their own rooms for the said activities. Keeping it separated from the ones included in the school curriculum. No wonder, the academy was large and could be declared as its own city by right. So, it was clear as to why the students who could study here are said to be cream of the crop either through financial status or personal merits. But in his opinion, this was unnecessary and makes everything a bit complicated due to the grand architecture of the school. He would have preferred one straight line and the need to see everything in one area. Nevertheless, it was not really his concern.

In any case, the walk was silent enough which should be expected. Aeon had never been good with socializing except with the normal greetings and business conversations; he always does no matter who is in front of him. Though, there are the occasional students delivering their good mornings, to Aeon who calmly and as always greeted back in his distant politeness. There are also those curious eyes looking at Inoue's direction. As, it is a very very very rare thing to see Aeon having a company of anyone, in exemption with teachers or activities requiring group cooperation. Other than that, he will always be by himself and somehow that suited him which the school populace seemed to agree with. To them, he was out of their league, and to those who are near him, are someone truly noteworthy.

Soon enough, Aeon stopped before another door. "This is the Music Session Hall restricted for the Band Club." He stated and then knocked a few times to alert anyone inside before he opened the door. When, it was opened. The room was really huge. It also has a complete selection of musical instruments ranging from various cultures and music genres. There was also a recording studio present with everything needed to make an album. From the looks of it, everything was in a top-notch condition with equipment and musical instruments. Other than the objects, there were also people about which glanced their way. The girls had slightly red cheeks probably due to Aeon's presence as they looked at him while the boys whispered lowly among themselves. "Isn't this a pleasant surprise, Belrose-kun?"
ImageImageImage
Before them, a beautiful woman, who was on the smaller side but she was still taller than Kaoru, appeared with a meaningful smile on her lips. "Good morning, Keigo-san." Aeon greeted with his usual indifference as the woman pouted a bit. "You're so uncute, Belrose-kun. How many times have I said to call me Hana-senpai?" Aeon did not response and simply looked at Inoue. "Inoue Kaoru, he expressed the desire to join the band." Hana sighed at the emotionless dismissal of Aeon and then looked at Kaoru with a kind smile. "Hello there, Inoue-kun. It seems you're the reason why Belrose-kun came by. My name is Hana Keigo, the President of the Band Club." She then glanced at Aeon once more. "So, this cutie is your freshman partner?" He simply nodded and then looked at Inoue sympathetically. Then, she looked at another member who handed her a flier. "Here, I'll be looking forward to you joining the band, Inoue-kun." She gave Kaoru the flier then closed the distance between them as she whispered to Inoue. "Hang in there, Inoue-kun." She then pulled away and had a smile on her face.

"If Belrose-kun is giving you troubles, don't hesitate to tell me. I'll do my best to handle it, right? Belrose-kun?" Aeon remained unaffected by the interaction between Keigo and Inoue. Instead, he answered with the simplest logic. "Of course, you are the Student Council President." Hana pouted once more as Aeon answered it coolly while implying that it is her duty to do so. "You're no fun, Belrose-kun, I feel sorry for Inoue-kun, already." Aeon once again ignored that statement by his own words. "If there is nothing else, it is best we get going Inoue-san." With that said, Aeon gave a polite nod and made his way to leave the room while Hana released a sigh and had a small smile on her face. "All right... See you later then. Oh, Inoue-kun, welcome to Azuline and Good luck." She said while delivering a playful wink at the end. Her words filled with meaning and kindness at the same time.

Cassiopeia could not help but smile softly with warmth. Daniel said that he was fine with how she was right now. It made her happy that he was accepting of her faults or it could be just he was being nice. It meant that he was actually kind, right? In her world, most people do not have ulterior motives whatsoever even if they do. She was fortunate that she has not been exposed to such people until now. "Okay, thank you, Daniel." She said while making a few quick steps to walk beside Daniel. It was then she took notice of Aeon leaving the gymnasium as well with someone in tow. It was probably his freshman, but she had gentleness in her eyes which was because of what Aeon did. He left her alone which she could only think as him letting her do thing by herself. Why is it that Aeon understands her without much saying? She will never know, but she was lucky to have the care of a very kind man even if many would disagree with that.

She took back her attention to Daniel who suggested to look for the dormitories. That's right they will be staying here during the entire schooling period. Thinking about it is very exciting for her. She had never been out of the castle, so all of these things are practically new to her. "The dormitories... I wonder what they looked like." She muttered to herself. "Do you think we would be having the same room, Daniel?" This was not a trick question or an ice-breaker. She was seriously asking it since they are partners and if the purpose is to enhance relationship, then it's logical for them to be together even in the dormitories, right? This implies that she has little inhibition towards the opposite gender or she is completely innocent about the deeper implications of that. It was actually both.

"If so, I hope you don't mind me." She added while following his lead. The other students were occasionally looking at their way. It was unavoidable as her appearance was striking due to her albino features, white hair, and red eyes. They would make anyone look odd but, she wears it as if such traits were made for her. Then, she remembered the piece of paper handed to her earlier by Hotaru. "Oh! This might help" She exclaimed as she took it out of her pocket and looked at it. "Oh, no map... These are my classes... Oh, there are clubs!" The thought made her excited as she looked at Daniel with another question in mind.

"Are you going to join any clubs? I think it would be very fun." Cassie knew that she would have to inform Hotaru and Aeon if she wanted to join any extracurricular activities, so, she couldn't decided out front of if she would join any. But, she has a feeling that she would be joining the Drama Club, It won't be too grueling and seemed like a lot of fun being actors or even making props and all. Well, that is what she had read in a book. If possible too, she would be joining Kendo, Aeon would be there so at the very least he could make sure she would not overexert herself and still experience something physical. "May be after we check the dormitory, we could go and look at the clubs. What do you think?" She asked him with a cute innocence that was not conceited or fake, that was simply how she is, very natural.

"Good morning, Keigo-san."

"You're so uncute, Belrose-kun. How many times have I said to call me Hana-senpai?"

Kaoru bit back the urge to laugh again, but this time it was harder to suppress. Hearing it from a girl was so much more satisfying. Finally, it seemed that a girl realized him for the stiff he truly was, but she was friendly, not like the fawning, doe eyed girls that did their best to follow the two of them while doing their own tour.

"Inoue Kaoru, he expressed the desire to join the band."

Once again, Aeon introduced him as a hopeful participant, and Kaoru felt an instant wave of nervousness. No one at his last school knew of his musical ability, so he was a bit nervous about preforming in front of others. He'd only preformed in front of his parents and sister until now, he was going to have to preform for multiple Senpai during his first band practice... It was really unnerving, but he kept a friendly smile on his face. It was starting to hurt, but he didn't want anyone to realize his confidence was shaking.

"Hello there, Inoue-kun. It seems you're the reason why Belrose-kun came by. My name is Hana Keigo, the President of the Band Club."

"Etto.. I suppose so. It's really nice to meet you, Keigo-Senpai." Kaoru bowed respectfully, especially since Keigo was his upperclassmen, and would be his superior in Band. He wanted to keep a smooth connection with the Captain of the Basketball team and the President of the Music club. It would make his entire year complicated if he didn't..

"So, this cutie is your freshman partner?"

Eh? She finds me cute? He instantly liked her a lot more, he figured he'd enjoy his time around this Senpai. He ran a hand through his hair, until he was approached by Hana, who handed him a flier. He didn't have much time to respond, seeing as the next thing he knew, she was speaking again.

"Here, I'll be looking forward to you joining the band, Inoue-kun."

Kaoru smiled at Hana, nodding his head at her and accepted the flier, giving it a quick once-over before nodding, "I can't wait to show you what I can do, Senpai." He added with a fairly charismatic smile. He wasn't the most charming freshman in the game, but he wasn't the worst either. He wanted to make as many friends as possible here.

"Hang in there, Inoue-kun."

When the gap between himself and her returned, he chimed enthusiastically, "I will, Keigo-Senpai. Arigato~" He had a happy smile on his face, mostly due to the loose flirting she'd applied earlier in the conversation. He was very happy, looking forward to Band practice now that he knew such a beautiful senpai was in charge.

"If Belrose-kun is giving you troubles, don't hesitate to tell me. I'll do my best to handle it, right? Belrose-kun?"

Kaoru nodded once more, he was really feeling that he could be friends with Hana. They had similar personalities, despite the air of maturity she held. Then Aeon proved that assumption by going on to say she was student council president, "S-sugoi (Translation: W-wow)"

"You're no fun, Belrose-kun, I feel sorry for Inoue-kun, already."

"If there is nothing else, it is best we get going Inoue-san."

"All right... See you later then. Oh, Inoue-kun, welcome to Azuline and Good luck."

Kaoru waved to Hana, smiling genuinely, "See you later, Keigo-Senpai!" and he walked away, following Aeon. He remained quiet until they made it outside, then tilted his head. He had a question or two, seeing as this had a lot to do with how many times he would be tardy for class. He didn't want to end up in detention because he didn't get along well with his partner, he wasn't going to stub up, "Anywhere else I need to know..? I heard that Gym class switches out each day to different activities..."
