{Sexual & Relationship History}
Sam has had two serious relationships, one when he was 16 that lasted nine months - he even lost his virginity to her - until she moved away. The seconded ended over this summer, and he is still slightly heartbroken.
"I'm not gonna say I was in love, but man that hurt. It's difficult to move on when you still have feelings for someone, but I'm just gonna focus on the future right now."
{Ethnicity}
25% American, 50% Irish, 25% French.
"I can speak French fluently, but unfortunately I just have your typical Irish accent - nothing special."
{Personality}
Romantic | Approachable | Creative | Passionate | Intense
Samuel has, on many occasions, been called pretentious. But he sees that as simply because he's different from the norm. Unlike your generic Brentwood pupil, Samuel doesn't follow the crowd and go with whatever's popular; however he's not particularly selective when it comes to befriending people. He doesn't pay any mind to 'cliques' and is friends with A-listers right down to C-listers. Being rude to someone just because they're in a lower clique seems silly to Samuel and he'll never make assumptions on someone's character simply based on their clique alone.
As you may be able to tell by his placement in the 'Artist' group, Samuel is a true creative. He sketches, paints and even plays the bass, but his true passion is directing. Whatever play you've seen performed at Brentwood, be it 'Romeo and Juliet' or even 'Alice In Wonderland' (He knows it's generic but the Drama teacher ignores his contribution of 'A Clockwork Orange' or 'The Shining').
Portraits are where Samuel truly shines when it comes to art, often you can find him sketching strangers picnicking in the park, or peers laughing about something in the courtyard. He's tried self-portraits but his image of himself is so distorted that Samuel never recognises the finished piece as himself. Samuel's ex was his favourite person he used to draw, from her long hair down to her little button nose - He thought everything about her was so perfect. And what is Samuel if not a perfectionist? Everything he creates has to be exactly as he pictured it, Samuel's passion radiates through him and when he gets really set on something, the intensity is sometimes too much for people.
- Directing : His true passion, Samuel is in love with everything to do with film and theatre. While he's not much of a performer, Samuel excels when it comes to directing.
- Drawing : Mainly portraits, Samuel loves to draw those closest to him, as well as random strangers that pique his interest.
- Befriending People : Despite his intense nature, Samuel is actually rather good at making friends - mainly because he doesn't discriminate between cliques.
{Weaknesses}
- Rejection : Samuel isn't too used to rejection in his life, as if his talents don't get him what he wants, his good looks typically will. So when he's told no, Samuel doesn't react badly, he simply just doesn't know what to do.
- Hook-ups : Being someone that falls in love far too fast and far too easily, Samuel can't do one-night stands or random hook-ups, as he always ends up catching feelings for that person.
- Intense : While many people like Samuel because of how intense he is, for others it can be rather off putting. Despite him not meaning it to be.
{Fears}
- Losing Another Family Member : After losing his Mother, Samuel is terrified that his father or little sister might die next, and so is rather overprotective of them.
- Having His Heartbroken : Since his ex broke up with him, Samuel's been scared of having that kind of rejection again, especially because he never saw it coming and so has developed a bit of a wall around some people.
{Life Philosophy}
âA bird is safe in its nest - but that is not what its wings are made for.â â Amit Ray.
Samuel stands at 5'11, weighing in at around 138 lbs.
{Hair Colour}
Dirty honey blonde hair, usually left to it's own devices is Samuel's signature style.
{Eye Colour}
Ocean blue, sometimes green in certain lights, Samuel's eyes are just right for his face, not too big nor too small.
{Fashion Sense}
Caring little for keeping up with trends, Samuel wears whatever he wants - typically baggy jumpers, flannel shirts, denim or leather jackets and skinny black jeans paired with some vans or converse.
{Appearance}
While he views himself as merely average, objectively Samuel is a rather attractive guy. He keeps his hair natural and longish for his cut, be it because he can't be bothered to get a haircut or it's on purpose is up for debate. His face is covered by little moles, much like the rest of his body, and his skin is soft and fair in complexion. Having rather larger lips than most guys, it is something that he was once made fun of but now embraces. Samuel's eyes are the main attraction, blue eyes often sparkling with ideas and energy. You can feel the passion that radiates through his body just from looking at Samuel. His average build suits him and while Samuel is strong, he isn't particularly muscular but he prefers it like that. Unlike some of the jocks with their bulging muscles, Samuel has strength in his agility and his slender frame helps him to be a rather fast runner when he wants to be.
Rachel Youngblood | Deceased | Mother | Former Socialite
Sean Youngblood | 48 | Father | Vehicle Technician (Owns his own garage)
Aoife Youngblood | 10 | Sister | Student
Samuel's parents, Rachel and Sean, met in Dublin (Ireland) as teenagers. Theirs is a story of forbidden love; much like Romeo and Juliet, the two came from completely different worlds. Rachel was an American girl, holidaying in Ireland while her wealthy father was visiting a prospective client for his energy company. It was a chance meeting as Rachel wasn't technically allowed to be out on her own, but one evening she slipped out to see the proper sights of Dublin, instead of having to sit indoors with only her drawings for company.
Sean's family were all working class people, so he never expected that he would by chance meet the love of his life in a Pub in the heart of Dublin - nor would she be the daughter of an American billionaire. The pair were only eighteen but after they hit it off almost immediately. They spent the rest of the three weeks together practically inseparable and when it came time to leave, Rachel didn't want to go. However her father never approved of the relationship, how could his beloved daughter be with a dirty mechanic?
In the end, though, his attempts to break up the pair were futile. Despite having to go home Rachel and Sean kept in contact for three years, until Rachel was twenty-one and able to move to Ireland so that she could be with Sean. Although it was a risky idea, she'd only known him for three weeks before she left after all, but having talked to him almost daily for three years, she couldn't deny her feelings. After two years of living in Ireland - and dating Sean - he finally proposed. The pair were married within the month, much to Rachel's fathers dismay. He disapproved so much that he gave Rachel an ultimatum: marry Sean and lose her inheritance or stay in America and keep being the wealthy socialite she had been. Bored with her life back in New York, Rachel happily chose Sean (who still couldn't believe his luck) and they lived very happily in Ireland for a long time.
Spending most of his childhood growing up just outside of Dublin, Samuel adored his life and his parents. However, everything changed drastically when Rachel heard that her father was sick. Although they had a rocky relationship, Rachel loved him dearly and decided to move the family to America so she could look after him - being his last living relative that wasn't above her 60s - the shock was very real for Sean and Sam, America was nothing like Ireland. It was too loud, too fast-paced and everyone seemed to absorbed in their own vanity. While they did eventually adjust; Sean even managed to open his own garage, it just wasn't quite home for them.
When Rachel fell unexpectedly pregnant, Sean was overjoyed, despite baby Lila being a big surprise they were more than happy to have her join their little family. Unfortunately there were complications during the labour and at one point the doctor believed they may lose both woman and child. Eclampsia eventually claimed Rachel's life, just after giving birth to Lila she suffered a seizure so severe that she died.
Despite losing his mother, Samuel never felt like he was ever lacking for love. His father loved him dearly, and Lila - his little sister - idolised Samuel.
