P O W E R S

Agrokinesis x // x The first ability to pop up and the one that Iliana has the most control over because of her empathy she knows what exactly plants and other organic materials need because she can pick up if the earth is hurting or not. She doesn’t use this power a lot though due to enjoying seeing things grow naturally.

Create Precipitation x // x This ability along with Aerokinesis are linked with Iliana’s emotions the most. Recently after Iliana’s harrowing experience, she used this ability to ‘get all of her tears out’ and almost caused the area to flood. She’s now trying to shut off her emotions so she doesn’t do that again.

Other Powers x // x Aerokinesis was always the hardest for Iliana to use because she never quite knew how to use it, despite all of the lessons she’s had. Like with her ability to create rain though she recently tried shutting off her emotions because she’s scared of using this ability, but not as much as induce hunger. She detests this ability because she’s almost killed someone with this skill. This happened when trying to escape her imprisonment and her anger was out of control.

P R O F I C I E N C I E S

Gardening x // x Iliana has a big green thumb and loves growing anything from crops to flowers. She doesn’t just want to rely solely on her abilities to make things grow. This is one thing she continues to do after her harrowing experience because it brings her peace.

Perseverance x // x This young lady has been through a lot and even in her darkest moments she has refused to give up. Now though she doesn’t know how to move forward, but she still wants to keep on living.

Open Hearted x // x Being an empathetic person, Iliiana has always worn her heart on her sleeve. She use to be very vibrant and carefree as a child. Now she’s completely silent, but still can’t help but try to be nice to anyone.

W E A K N E S S E S

Empathy x // x This trait is basically a double edge sword. While Iliana has been able to use this ability to help others in the past, it was used against her heavily during her imprisonment and she almost went insane because of it. This is why she had to mentally shut herself down in order to stay sane. Fortunate for her, her captivity was brief, but it was long enough to have permanent scares on her.

Clingy x // x Ever since the loss of her real father, Iliana has been a bit more attached to those she cares about, and this is especially true to her mother. She was starting to become more independent, but now she’s back a square one.

Cooking x // x One would think since Iliana is great at growing things, she’d be good at cooking. Unfortunately this is not the case as Iliana is terrible at cooking. She once started a fire while using a toaster. Only thing she knows how to do meal wise is put together a salad. As a result, she hardly eats meat since she feels that since she can’t cook it, she shouldn’t eat it, unless someone else does the cooking.

F E A R S

Getting Emotional x // x Iliana is terrified of losing control of her emotions because she knows how they are linked to her powers. Despite all that wad done to her, she still has nightmares of hurting others since she lost control of her emotions.

Not Finding her Way x // x As scared as Iliana is of getting hurt again, she’s even more scared of not being able to find herself again. This fear is linked to wanting to find her voice again also.

Humans x // x This comes as no surprise given what she’s been through. She really hates having this fear too because she even fears her adoptive father now.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
xxxxxxxxxxxxx empathetic xx green thumb xx mute xx hopeful x

Before the events that changed her personality dramatically, Iliana was a sweet girl with a shy personality. This was due to her empathy and she got sick a lot as a child, even before losing her father. Due to this, Demeter had a more direct hand in training her, especially when it wad discovered her emotions were linked to her emotions. Despite all of her training, she still struggled to balance herself out.

At an early age she discovered she had a talent for gardening, and loved doing things with her hands. Loving the earth just as much as her mother, she took every opportunity to be outside just to be around the things she grew. She learned to be patience and this activity always brought her inner peace. Even inside, she had indoor plants in her room.

After being rescued from her recent ordeal though, she became a shell of herself. There’s a part of her that hates what she’s become because she doesn’t want to worry her mother, adopted family, and more recently her new friend Ethan. She is mute now because she can’t find her voice. So for communication purposes, she uses a note pad to write things down. While she’s still recovering, she’s has never given up on herself. She doesn’t want to be a burden and knows somehow she’ll make it through. Finding herself though will still be hard due to her fears. She honestly doesn’t mind her adoptive brother’s protective nature either.

H I S T O R Y

Iliana’s father, Carter Remington, was a philanthropist and traveled a lot to make sure to help those less fortunate then him. It was this kind personality that attracted the attention of Demeter. Carter, a romantic at heart, quickly fell for her and it didn’t take long for the two to get together, but not before Demeter revealed her divine nature to him. He wad dumbfounded at first but after seeing what she could do, did believe her. Soon though Demeter had to leave for a bit and Carter didn’t see her for months, so one could imagine how shocked her was when Demeter suddenly appeared pregnant and about soon to give birth.

Carter doted on Iliana in the short time he had her and called her Lia and his ‘little dove’. It was apparent at an early age she loved being outside around nature and she would travel with him everywhere he went. Iliana doesn’t have many memories of her dad, but she does know she was close to him and loosing him had a major effect on her. When Iliana was 5, someone broke into their home in Atlanta, which woke up Iliana and her father. The intruder ended up killing her father when he tried to stop him and soon came after Iliana, but in her fear, her agrokinesis appeared and the plants in her room started growing and trapping the guy. Demeter was then seconds later, having felt her daughter’s distress, and took care of the human. To help Iliana recover, Demeter kept her daughter around for a few weeks in her own domain, but knew her daughter couldn’t stay with her, especially since she was neglecting her duties. Going to her fellow gods and goddesses, it was Athena who suggested that Iliana live with her son’s, Heath's family, especially since he lived in an area that wasn’t hugely populated. Demeter did just that and Heath’s father and family were more then willing to adopt Iliana.

Iliana was shy but grew to love her new home. Much like her new adoptive brother, Heath, she was homeschooled, but mostly by his aunts since she only retained basic intellect, plus one of the his aunts was an empath herself while the other was a Wiccan who grew her own garden. Both helped Iliana with her empathy and gardening skills. Still, Iliana struggled with her empathy since she could also feel when the earth was suffering. Her powers develop quickly and Demeter visited frequently to help her, much to Iliana’s delight. She was sad when Heath moved out when she was only 15. It was by this time she wanted to try doing things for herself too. Wanting to help others like her biological father did, she started getting into herbalism and would donate some of her things to neighbors. By the time she was 17, she did well enough to graduate early too. Deciding to go to the local college, it would be here that the unexpected happen.

Iliana did her best to conceal her abilities and it was why she didn’t want to go to large university. However, one day she was practicing her skills on her own in what she thought was an isolated area, but someone spotted her meditating while levitating in mid-air. This human just happened to be a student from the same college, who’s father was a scientist. After telling his father about what he saw (and he even recorded her doing it as proof), the scientist got his son to befriend her, which he did. Still, Iliana was wary of her new friend due to feeling that he wasn’t 100% honest. Unfortunately, her instincts would prove to be true. One night, Iliana was kidnapped from her own bed. She had been knocked out and taken to an underground hidden facility. Turns out that scientist was looking for people with ’special abilities’ and wanted to use people like Iliana as ‘test subjects’. Iliana did her best to escape, but every time she tried, she was found. It would be almost a week when the college discovered she was missing, but by this time Demeter had already figured it out and was livid and terrified for her daughter. So much so, she asked for the assistance of several gods to find her. Lucky for Iliana, she was found and rescued by her mother, Hermes, and Athena. The whole facility was destroyed and the humans there felt with. The whole ordeal traumatized Iliana and before taking her back to Earth, Iliana was allowed to heal physically under the careful watch of her mother and Apollo. By this time she was 18.

The young demigod was never the same once she was back home. She refused to leave her room at first and only Heath’s aunts were allowed to see her and they had to physically take care of her at first for she had emotionally and physically shut out everyone. It was one of the aunt’s ideas for Iliana to move in with Heath and his roommate, Ethan, seeing how they were out in the country and the open spaces might due Iliana some good. Also, Iliana slowly starts trying to communicate again, especially after her mother visits her and suggest she write her thoughts down to see if it’ll help. Iliana allows this and being out in the country does help her. She ignores Ethan at first, but his sincerity does slowly get through to her and she slowly opens up to him. Knowing her daughter has to become stronger, Demeter finally decides she wants her to go to Camp Athens and hopes being around more demigods will help her open up more. Iliana is terrified of this idea at first, despite coming leaps and bounds in her recovery, but with the encouragement of her adoptive family and Ethan, she agrees to it. Unfortunately, she still suffers from nightmares and her crying is still the only sound she makes.

At the entrance of the camp stood three figures. They knew they were late but it couldn't be helped due to the fact that there had been weather issues back in Scotland and one delay at their layover. Ethan, who was use to traveling, took it all in stride. His two companions, Heath and his adopted sister, Iliana, were not thrilled with being late, only for different reasons. Heath preferred it when things ran on time, while Iliana hated staying cooped up in an airport longer then necessary because of the crowds. She might not talk now, but her facial expressions were easy to read at times.

"Well we finally made it, safe and sound!"

Ethan had been looking forward to meeting other demigods and was actually hoping to see ancient Greek architecture at this camp, or something like this.

"I just hope we don't get into any trouble for being a day late," commented Heath, his thick Scottish accent evident.

"No worries, bro. Our mothers did assure us they would let the staff know we would be late."

That earned a small smile from Heath and he nodded in agreement. Still he hoped this lateness wouldn't reflect badly on them, even though things were completely out of their hands. Looking at the place that was to be both sanctuary and training ground, he couldn't help but be curious about the others. Of course he did his research on the gods involved. He never wanted to enter a new situation completely blind. Now he didn't cross personal boundaries when it came to private information, all Heath did was get basic info, which his mother provided. He, along with Ethan and Iliana learned they had half siblings here also. Now whether or not Heath would spend time with his half-sister would be another question because right now it didn't matter much. Iliana was his main concern. Looking at her right now, he hoped and prayed this new place would help her find her voice.

At the moment, Iliana had one hand through Heath's arm and she was gripping him pretty tightly. It was evident by that gesture alone that she was nervous. However her inner thoughts were scrambling and she didn't know what to expect here. She knew she still needed help training and especially needed help coming out of her shell. But she was terrified of getting hurt here too, emotionally at least or worse, she'd hurt someone else. Her mother's last words to her before coming here still rang in her ear.

"You'll do fine sweetie. Just take your time and stick with Ethan and Heath. And remember to breath when you feel yourself panicking. You've made tremendous strides already and I am very proud of you."

~I won't let her down.~ Iliana thought to herself.

Soon a camp staff member greeted them and showed them to their cabins. By special request, all three got to share a cabin with three rooms. Both boys though had a feeling though that Iliana would still probably sleep in Heath's room initially or whenever she had a nightmare. It had been a long standing habit for Iliana to do this when she first lived with Heath and his father because she felt comfortable with him. She had been fine sleeping on her own after a time, but then after her abduction she started sleeping in Heath's room again when she moved in with Heath and Ethan. It was another reason why she moved in with him from her adopted father's house. The poor girl was too scared to sleep at night, in fear she would be abducted again like she was at college. Her adopted father tried to help, but unfortunately him being a human didn't help. Iliana was ashamed of her behavior too, but her mind and heart were in two different spots. She could feel the love and sincerity of the man, but her mind wouldn't let her think straight.

After unpacking, the three were allowed to explore the premises since training had just finished up.

"Wonderful! Darn shame we missed some training, but at least it'll give us a chance to explore. Is that okay with you Lia?" Ethan asked Iliana, referring to her by her nickname.

Iliana's lips curled up a bit and she nodded. She could already feel herself connecting with the land and the eagerness to explore nature override her concerns with meeting the other demigods. Still she carried her notepad and pen just in case, but she intended to stick with Heath as much as possible. Heath didn't mind either. After what happened with Iliana, he didn't want to let her out of his sight. Ethan hoped this wouldn't always be the case where Iliana was too dependent on Heath, but decided not to bring it up.

So locking up the cabin, the three headed out to see what this camp had to offer.

Ethan easily took the lead while he and his companions explored the camp. Ethan did most of the talking with Heath talking a bit and Iliana remaining silent, although her eyes looked everywhere.

"I wonder what the other demigods are like?" Ethan wondered.

"We'll find out when we meet them," Heath replied.

"I am surprised we haven't ran into any yet though. Didn't that one guy said they just finished training? I thought we would at least see one of them around the cabins."

There was another reason why Ethan was eager to meet the other demigods. Unlike Heath and Iliana, he didn't grow up with anyone remotely like him and as much as he loved his father, his father didn't have to worry about the things Ethan had to worry about. However he knew better that not everything was going to be hunky-dory. Just like on a construction site when you threw different personalities into a concentrated area, emotions were bound to fly. Add young folk with magical abilities, and things could really get intense. Still he'd be lying if he wasn't excited. He did get a demo from his mother on what happened last year and while he was not looking forward to the fighting part of his training, he did not want to be a hindrance either. He already knew that out of the three of them, his skills were more of supportive type. Heath's powers were more akin to strategy and defense. Ethan knew his friend though wanted to improve in the offensive strategy though. Ironically, the one who had the most offensive skills was Iliana due to her control over wind, rain, and earth, not to mention her potential hazardous skill of induce hunger. In her current mental and emotional state though, Ethan couldn't see Lia being out there in the fray. However he knew she was just as protective of her brother, so it wouldn't surprise him if she did find the courage to help Heath.

It did not bother Heath that they had yet to meet any of their fellow campers. The grounds were massive, so who knew where they were. At the moment he was taking in everything and committing it to memory.

"Don't worry Ethan, I am sure we'll run into a few sooner or later. No need to rush things."

Iliana was definitely in no rush. She was enjoying exploring the area and was tempted to explore every single inch of the camp, but doubted she would. For one thing, she wasn't much of a climber. It was still something she wanted to try though. It could come in handy. She loved nature in general and was considered a 'tree hugger'. She did wonder if Heath would allow her to learn how to climb though. When they first learned that they had to train to be fighters, she remembered how upset Heath was. Oh he never voiced this concerned since it was their mothers who told them this, but his inner feelings were ringing loud and clear. Plus, since he knew he could never hide his true feelings from Iliana, he did admit he was scared of her getting hurt again. Well he wasn't the only one. Iliana certainly didn't want to fight, but she didn't want to feel helpless again either. And even though she'd yet to meet the other demigods, the idea of anything happening to them did not sit well with her.

Speaking of the other demigods, while Iliana could not see any, she could pick up a little emotional turbulence coming from some buildings nearby. The structures were made out of wood and almost reminded Iliana of a barn. And they were heading right for them.

~What is going on here?~ she wondered to herself.

As much as she wanted to stop, she didn't want to be a coward either, at least not in front of Ethan and Heath. Ethan spotted the structures too and was excited.

"Wow, would you look at that wooden structure, it's amazing! I wonder what's inside? I don't see any 'Do not Enter' signs, so I think it should be okay. What do you two think?"

"It looks like we can go in. Is that okay with you Lia?" Heath asked Iliana as he turned to her.

Iliana mere nodded and with that the tree head inside to see multiple stables.

"Hey these are stables right? I've never actually seen something like this. Have you two?"

The others just shake their head and it is at the moment they see someone riding an animal from other doorway. All three immediately guessed the animal was Pegasus, the famous winged horse. When Iliana looked at the rider, she knew she found the source, or at least one of the sources, to that emotional turbulence. Instinctively, she drew closer to Heath, nearly hiding behind him. Heath placed his free hand on top of Iliana's and gave her a reassuring smile.

"I am here," he whispered softly.

Ethan saw Iliana's withdrawal too and started using his serenity on her a bit so she wouldn't bolt. He also decided to step forward and greet the new person. Looking the dark haired young woman over, he figured this was one of the demigods here. Also, he could tell that something was up with this person probably wasn't in the mood to talk so he would keep this introduction brief.

"Hello there, my name is Ethan Knox and my companions and I are new arrivals to this camp. I was wondering if the stables was open to all campers here. If not we'll leave an get out of your hair." he says with a jovial and polite tone.

Mason looked away, shifting his gaze from her. Andy knew that look. She exhaled softly but waited silent and patient for him to speak up and protest. "I want to see him too. I just think you've had a big day and....you're not entirely ready," he finally said.

Andy tucked her top lip gently between her teeth while nodding her head. Big day, big week... big year. She felt like she hasn't been able to a get a break since came to camp. Everything seemed to bubble up and over flow one after the other, without a moment to breathe. She was so used to being overwhelmed and worrying about something that the thought of having a normal day was lost on her anymore. Mason wasn't trying to hurt her or offend her, but simply cared about how much she was putting herself through in the span of a couple hours.

"I'll go with you. Of course I'll go with you," Mason finally answered her question. "But it's not going to be any easier." He looked her over, not looking the most pleased about her eagerness to hunt down her brother. He then turned his back to her to give her some privacy, but Andy didn't move. "When you're ready."

Maybe Mason was right. So often she was the one trying to talk him down and get him to think rationally. Now it seemed as though the shoe was on the other foot. She wanted to go find her brother, stare him... or whatever he was in the eye and hope that seeing her was enough. But it was all false hope that, in the end, would only hurt her more. And she'd be lying if she said she was in a good mental state to handle that.

"Maybe you're right," she said barely above a whisper. "I need a second," Andy mumbled as she walked past Mason and headed into her bathroom. She shut the door behind her and locked it. She leaned back against the cool tile wall, her chest heaving on the edge of hyperventilating. Andy looked at her reflection in the mirror as she tried to calm herself, and what stared back at her was a ghost of herself. Gaunt, with dark circles under her eyes. Her nose was engulfed in deep shades of purple and blue, while dried blood stained her upper lip and the top of her shirt.

She hated being such a burden. Andy, for so long, was the person who was there for everyone else. And now she was person who was a zombie. She should have accepted their support, but she hated herself like this. At every turn Andy pushed her friends away not wanting to drag them down with her. A knot grew in her stomach as she thought about going back out into her room and tightened more when what she was really going to do crossed her mind.

Andy waved her hand over the mirror, instantly cleaning up the dirt and blood from her face. All the while casual clothes replaced her training attire, leaving what she wore earlier than day in a pile on the floor. Without a word to Mason, Andy opened the window in the bathroom and climbed out, landing in the grass below with a quiet thud. She felt bad leaving Mason and Trinity waiting for her, but she needed air. She loved her friends, but she was exhausted. Tired of wearing a brave face from sun up to sun down. Tired of saying she was fine when she wasn't. And tired of making others worry about her when it was out of their control, even her own.

She wondered her way through the woods, avoiding the paths in case someone decided to chase after her. Somehow Andy managed to find a small cliff overlooking the lake. And for the first time in days she felt like she could breathe. Andy walked to the edge and slowly sat down, allowing her feet to hang over the edge. She closed her eyes, enjoying the sensation of the breeze in her hair as she conjured an ice pack in her hand. With grumble to herself about her purple face, she raised the pack to her nose then laid back on the ground and stared up at the sky.

Sylas watched begrudgingly as his sister detoured away from their cabin with Ji-Hyun. Meddling was what Eris children were good at but he couldn't help but sneer at the thought of his sister spending time with demigods of weak and worthless Gods like Hypnos. Such a waste of time. The only people worth manipulating were those with real power or standing in the camp. The ones constantly at each others' throats or at the heart of this ridiculous excuse of a camp.

He groaned to himself as he pushed off the tree beside him and redirected himself back to the main part of camp. Thankfully most of the soreness from the fight with Andy had seemed to wear off, although he was sure her rage had only started. The mere thought of the anger brewing in the girl made him smile. It wasn't a long fight but it was enough... Just enough for him to persuade her subconscious and plant seeds of discord within here. He hadn't been at camp very long but from what he saw, she was one of the few things that kept Mason and the Valises from ripping each other apart. Now wouldn't that be a sight.

As Sylas made his way back to the main hall to find someone to make his time less boring, he couldn't help but notice a trio closely cluttered together. His brows quirked as his pace slowed, watching them curiously. No doubt new to the camp by the way they never left each others' sides nor seem to know where to go or what to do. He pursed his lips, slipping his hands into his pockets and lightly kicked a near by rock.

Since there were no better takers, Sylas decided to watched where they wondered to. As they approached the stables, he finally took to walking and followed behind the blonde trio. He wasn't in a rush to follow after them and would rather he stumble upon the newbies rather than blatantly look like he chased after them. He slowed upon reaching the entrance, propping himself against the doorframe just in time to hear one of them introduce himself to a visually perturbed Alex. "Hello there, my name is Ethan Knox and my companions and I are new arrivals to this camp. I was wondering if the stables was open to all campers here. If not we'll leave an get out of your hair."

Sylas chuckled behind the group with a slight smile. "Looks like the Counselors aren't giving proper orientations."

“You kissed me." Wes didn't fight his smile and it only seemed to grow when Trin couldn't fight hers as well.

"Is that what that was?” he teased with a playful smirk.

“It’s okay. It was... nice.” Wes's gaze followed hers as it dropped to her hand that still clutched the fabric of his shirt. He laughed softly as she released her hold and apologized. “Oh, sorry.” He tried to take her hand in his but she dropped it too quickly and took a step back. Wes sighed softly letting his own hand drop back to his side.

Trinity respected his decision to not chase after the hell hound he happened to befriend in capture the flag. He may have persuaded the beast to his side but that's not where she belonged. He never liked the taming of wild animals who deserved to be free. But by the look on Trin's face she was about to dive into serious territory. So, instead of speaking he stood their silent and waited for her to say whatever was on her mind.

“But,” the blonde added, holding up her index finger. Wes raised a brow curiously. “Just to be a classic party pooper, if you weren't who you were, tell me you understand those things would rip us to shreds.” He had half of a mind to make a joke at that moment. But something told him that even under Trinity's light tone there was a seriousness and worry. It was nothing new to anyone that Wes not a seasoned fighter... in the slightest. And made dumb decisions. He gave a subtle nod of his head toward her showing that he understood.

“Did you know you have one arm now? And uh, that makes you more vulnerable to attacks. Especially towards predatory animals and creatures, they pick up on it like-” Trinity then snapped her fingers.

"Shit? I have one arm!?"

Wes feigned shock with a huge grin on his face. His chuckled slowly faded away as Trinity closed the distance to him. One hand grasped his shoulder, the other pressed his chest causing him to take in a quick breath. “What if I just dug my claws in now?” He glanced down slightly at her hand, then met her gaze once again.

Trinity then smirked teasingly. “Or had a knife?” With a movement of her wrist, cold metal was pressed against the warm skin of Wes's neck. He raised his chin slightly at the touch and even found himself smirking back down at her. Anyone else should have felt unbelievably intimidated in that situation. Trinity was one of the most deadly people at camp... And she was holding a blade at his throat. Quit poetically she held his life in his hands. Yet Wes was calm.

Seeing Trinity like the predator she was only made him fall for her more. He never met a woman so powerful. No one would dare cross her or second guess her abilities. She could kill him in an instant, before Wes could even try to fight back. But under her intimidating display, he could see glimpses of her protectiveness... and worry for his well being. Wes didn't falter though. He stood his ground and held her gaze without wavering.

The blonde kept the blonde there for a long moment still. Then she dropped it and in that moment, Wes released the breath he hadn't realized he was holding in. Trinity then closed the distance between them, shifting to the tips of her toes to place a gentle kiss upon his jaw. Wes's stoic expression cracked to another ridiculous grin. He was half tempted to grab her while she was close and kiss her again. But he restrained himself. A hard task indeed.

“See, completely open to attack. A mob of women could have pounced on you,” she said with an innocent shrug and a cheeky grin.

Seeing as how they might be waiting a long while for Andy to reemerge from her cabin, Wes lowered himself and took a seat on a near by tree stump. "Well..." He finally spoke up, grin still plastered on his faze his left hand reached out and took her hand. "I don't want a mob of women." His smile grew as he gently tugged Trinity toward him and guided her to take a seat on his left leg. Part of him had a feeling she'd fight him on that. She was an independent woman and things went slow for her, which he respected without question. But Wes wasn't trying to make a move on her. He simply wanted the brief moment they had alone to sit with her.

"And you know..." he added, casually wrapping his arm around her waist, resting his hand on her hip. "If you're worried about me. You could just tell me to not be an idiot and get myself killed," he said with a soft chuckle as he looked up at her. Of course, they both knew that asking that only went so far. His stupidity lost him his arm and it could easily take his life as well. He wasn't much of a fighter. They knew that. He could only imagine the scarier thought for her was that he would stupidly get himself killed for her without hesitation. Wes's expression grew a little more serious as he sighed and let his cheek rest against Trinity's shoulder.

ALEXANDRIA VALIS
DAUGHTER OF ZEUS
Hex: #d63b71|

"Hello there, my name is Ethan Knox and my companions and I are new arrivals to this camp." At first, thinking they were talking to someone else close by, Alex didn't pay attention to them until she realizes they were, in fact, talking to her. She takes Pegasus' riding gear off and allows him to wander inside of his stable.

"I... um...welcome." she said, holding back from what she was originally going to say before distracting herself by closing the stable door. "I'm Alex." she smiles as best as she can, hopeful of it not looking mechanical, while the rest of her body felt like screaming or shouting with the anger that clawed its way at her insides. At least they didn't know about the hallucinations. The way she still felt was like being trapped in a deep, dark hole with no way out.

Her palms began to sweat as she chews lightly at the skin on her bottom lip, and pulls her long sleeved top over her knuckles, holding them in place with her fingers digging into her palms.

How long were they going to hang around?

"I was wondering if the stables were open to all campers here. If not we'll leave an get out of your hair." she was about to reply to him until she heard a chuckle behind the trio. She leans to the right slightly, looking right at a guy who had a slight smile across his mouth as he propped himself up against the door frame.

"Stable are open to anyone." she answers their question.
Image "Looks like the Counselors aren't giving proper orientations." Sylas then comments.

Alex walks towards him, standing not too far away from the trio, and a few feet in front of Sylas. "Have we met?" she asks, her head tilting slightly.

AJAX VALIS
SON OF ZEUS
Hex: Green |

Duke approached and put a hand on Ajax's shoulder, his smile stiff. "She'll always come back." As always, Duke was right. His Wild-Child of a younger sister always found her way back. Even if she was royally pissed at him for about a week, tops. Just like with Alex, Duke and Ajax had been the best of friends for absolute years. Always looking up to him, always offering decent advice.

Image Duke gently pulled on Ajax's shoulder to steer him away. "How do you travel these days?" Duke threw his head back towards the stables, which Ajax took one last glance at. "Horseback?" He smiled.

"Flying carpet is more my style." he smiles.

"Come on, Aj, if you have any energy to spare we'll train." Duke pats his brother's back, and Ajax let out a sigh as he rubs at his imaginary beard. "Alright, but you asked for it" he chuckles. Half of him knew Duke wouldn't take no for an answer anyway, and the other half of him could do with the distraction and release.

He leads the way down to the training grounds that had always looked like a large gladiator arena, and playfully smacks Duke in the shoulder before he gets into a boxing stance, both fists up near his face with light footwork in the sand beneath their feet. "Ready." he smirks and uses one hand to taunt his brother towards him.

It didn't take long for the dark hair young woman to introduce herself as Alex. Ethan figured it was probably short for something like Alexandra or Alexandria. It was also very apparent that she was distracted just by her mannerisms alone. Hearing that the stables were open to them, Ethan was about to thank Alex when another voice rang out.

"Looks like the Counselors aren't giving proper orientations."

The trio quickly turn to see another person at the stable entrance. This one had brown hair and was tall like Heath. Ethan quickly replied to his comment.

"Oh, we just arrived here so if there was any orientation we missed it."

The young women named Alex started walking towards the new guy and asked if they met yet. Looks like not all of the campers met yet. That sounded strange to Ethan since they just trained. It made him curious on what kind of training they did if these two hadn't properly met yet. Maybe they just didn't have the time to socialize regularly.

Heath was silent through the interactions because something was definitely wrong. Iliana had begun to shake and Heath knew this was a sign that she was loosing control of herself. Ethan felt it also and went over to Iliana casually and place a hand on her shoulder to make his serenity inducement more effective. Alex looked like a cage animal ready to strike, and Ethan figured it would be best to get himself and his friends moving. Ethan wanted to help Alex, but trying all he could not to get Iliana to unleash her powers.

"Well, we'll just get explore the stable a bit more. Thanks and nice meeting you Alex."

Iliana was hanging by a thread emotionally. Alex's anger was having a profound effect on her and it was only because of Ethan's soothing energy that kept her from exploding. Anyone looking at Iliana would have seen someone who had gone deathly pale, but her amber eyes had gone dark, a sure sign she was about to explode herself. When Ethan placed his hand on her shoulder, she felt his energy instantly and felt herself regaining her breath and she sighed. She knew this was only a temporary fix and knew Ethan wouldn't be able to keep this up for a long length of time. Still it gave her the chance to look at Alex and wonder what had caused her to feel such anger. Even though Iliana could pick up emotions quickly, she would never know initially who the emotions were aimed at. Themselves or someone else? She was relieved when Ethan and Heath started to move them away from Alex and the other person.

Heath was just as relieved. When they were a ways from the duo, he turned to Iliana and asked, "What was wrong, Lia?"

Iliana looked at Heath, and taking her notebook, she wrote down her answer and showed it to both Ethan and Heath.

~Alex has so much anger within her. It's scary.~

Both young men signed and nodded.

"Do you still want to explore the stables or leave?" Heath asked her.

This made Iliana hesitate. All of her thoughts and feelings were screaming for her to leave, but her instincts were giving her pause. Trying to figure out what they were trying to tell her, she allowed her eyes to roam before settling on the person who Alex was addressing. Something about him did not feel right. Even though Alex's anger was the dominant emotion she was feeling at the moment, she couldn't help but feel that something was off about the brown hair young man. And that made her more scared then Alex's hidden fury.

~What is wrong with me?~ she thought.

Heath and Ethan saw Iliana look at the new man too. Heath could tell that his adopted sister was having a hard time making up her mind because she started gnawing on her lower lip. So naturally, he took the lead and started leading them towards another exit.

Pete didn’t know where Eve had gotten to and he didn’t care. They’d arrived at Camp Athens earlier in the morning, and he had separated off almost immediately as he had no doubt that she’d be off skulking around, getting her bearings. Something he had no wish to do. Pete wanted to spend his time relaxing this summer, on his own and under the radar of everyone else.

Unfortunately, it seemed as though fate didn’t want the same things for him. He had thought the stables would be the perfect place to disappear, but apparently there was some sort of beacon attracting people there. He’d been tucked around the back of one of the stables, with his crumpled paperback propped on one knee. He was halfway through Carrie, almost up to the prom scene, when the interruptions to his solitude arrived.

"I was wondering if the stables were open to all campers here. If not we'll leave and get out of your hair."

Luckily, Pete was out of the eye sight, and he was able to fold himself into the shadows of the stall. Unseen unless someone looked hard enough. He hoped they’d move one soon, or else he would. Disappearing and slipping through the shadows without being noticed. However it was a cocky chuckle that caught his attention.

"Looks like the Counselors aren't giving proper orientations." At the end of the stables, a brunette boy with a confident lean against the door, something about him seemed very familiar but Pete couldn’t put his finger on it. So he closed his copy of Carrie and slipped it into his back pocket, staying in the shadows to see what happened next.

Then the brunette girl approached him. She was easy to read, clenching her fists, pulling on her sleeves, she was too easy to read. Clearly, she’d never learnt the art of subterfuge. The girl was a complete open book, almost screaming her angry emotions out loud for everyone to hear. Well, everyone who had a knack for reading body language. "Have we met?"

Well, she didn’t lack for confidence. That was points in her favour, she just needed a little push. Cracking the knuckles on his right hand, Pete got to his feet and wandered out from the shadows, deciding to take action. He was already getting tired of the conversation.

"Do you still want to explore the stables or leave?" The blonde boy said the nervous girl next him.

As if that was even a question, the skittish girl looked petrified as she was making a meal out of her bottom lip. He wandered past the trio on his way, sparing the girl the briefest glance from under his dark hair. “Just run.” He said to the girl, using his magic to implant the action into her head. Saying the words out loud would aid the magic, but he didn’t put much effort into it, he was just pushing her in a direction she assumed she already wanted to go.

Next up was the brunette girl. He wandered up close to her, gently touching her right shoulder as the closer he was to her the better his magic would work. He wasn’t as good as this his sister, Eve, but with the anger he could already read in her, he was fairly certain this would do the trick. “Hit him.” He said the words quietly implanting the action into her mind, but he didn’t care if anyone else heard him directing her into violence. To him violence was justified if it meant being honest to your feelings.

"He doesn't seem like good news," Emery commented on Sylas.

"I don't think I'm the best judge of character." Andy laughed weakly. "The only thing I do know, is he is very competitive... Obviously," she rolled her eyes playfully while motioning to the state of her face.

"You don't have to give me anything in return. Maybe you can just talk, and we'll say you owe me a favour."

"Deal," she smiled softly. Andy helped her friends so often, that receiving help from someone herself was strange. Part of her was happy that it was someone else, someone new, rather than the people she's been surrounded by for the past year. As much as she loves and cares about them, it can also become suffocating keeping this front up that she was ok. That she wasn't, changing, depressed and struggling to go from day to day. Andy remembered what it was like being new at the camp, and it was never easy, especially surrounded by all these powerful and intimidating demigods. So, in the end, maybe this moment of peace would be good for both of them.

"This won't hurt," Emery reassured her as she placed her hands on either side of Andy's face. A shimmer of light grew over her face slowly, the brightness causing her to close her eyes. Then before she knew it, Emery withdrew her hands. "There. Feeling better?"

Andy raised her hand and gently started tapping her nose, before fully grabbing it and rubbing it to see if she felt anything. She smiled from behind her hand. "I don't feel a thing."

"You certainly look better."

She laughed, rubbing her nose once more before dropping her hands into her lap. "Thanks. I had kinda, just, accepted that I was going to have a crooked nose the rest of my life. Would have made for an interesting story." Andy adjusted how she sat, letting her legs hang off the cliff as she looked out over the water. "How did you fair in Capture the Flag? I don't think I saw you... But to be honest, it seems no matter where I go I always end up in the thick of drama." She chuckled, not happily but more of an exhausted laugh of someone who's accepted that this was her life and there was nothing that could be changed about it. "I'm sure a daughter of Artemis would be killer at a game like that. Much better than me." She smiled.

Ji-Hyun sat still and calm the entire time Sloane doctored his wound. She didn't waste her time, but still tried to be as gentle as possible as she worked. She was so used to Sylas's complaining and squirming, that having someone calm and patient made everything proceed easily with little mess. "You've got pretty steady hands," he said once Sloane had finished, wrapping the final bandage around his hand.

"My brother is very... accident prone, Sloane replied with a slight smile. "He also is such a baby with things like this. Sylas was not very good at sitting still." She moved over to the sink and began washing her hands. "But thanks," she added.

"Here, let me help," Ji-Hyun said as he moved beside her and aided in putting away the first aid kit. Sloane glanced over at him from the corner of her eye, smiling briefly. "I bet you're a lot better than the med hut staff."

Sloane's smile grew slightly at the jest. "Well, I never claimed to be a doctor."

"And think of the cool scar I'm going to get out of this. I'm no good at combat but it'll be a story to tell."

She watched him survey himself in the mirror, before putting the first aid kit back in its home. "It might warrant a story. Someone might think you made a blood pact for a cult or something with a scar like that," Sloane joked. She didn't want to be rude and wonder about Ji-hyun's cabin, especially when he seemed embarrassed by the state of it, not that she minded. So, instead she tried to stand as casually as she could in the bathroom. "Oh," she added, pointing to his hand. "Try not to flex it too much for... a week? You could pop a stitch or reopen it."

"Do you want a drink? I think I've got some soda in the fridge. I've got to find a way to thank you, too."

"Sure," she replied. Then after a moment she spoke up once more. "You don't have to make it up to me. It's kind of my fault you were hurt in the first place. If I would have stayed and helped, instead of chasing after Wesley... Sorry." Sloane looked down at her hands slightly. This would be the moment where her brother would scold her for the better part of an hour. In Sylas's eyes she never did anything right, unless it was using her Eris given powers. Then he was envious... Jealous that someone like her, who doesn't wish to have them, is better than him.

Sloane shook her head slightly, trying to shake away the thoughts. "Sorry, I got lost in my own mind." She wasn't used to having conversations of any length with anyone other than her family. Keeping a conversation alive was never her strong suit, but still she tried. "Can I ask you something? Being a child of Hypnos, are you actually tired all the time?" She laughed, hearing how dumb the question was once she asked. "Is that just a stereotype?"

"I kind of feel like it’s the equivalent of sending red riding hood into the wolf den." Trinity wasn't wrong. Wes and Mason might have had ten conversations in the past year, if you want to consider them conversations. But he understood something the brooding son of Hades didn't, emotions. No, he didn't think Mason was void of emotions, but Wes could feel them as they are happening. He knows how people feel, if he wants to or not. And something was off with Andy. He would hate for a friendship to be put through more hardship than the two of them already have, because the girl is struggling with things she is going through. Wes could try to explain this to Mason... Although, it was unlikely he'd listen, especially to him.

"You have not being a Valis in your favour but..." Wes sighed, letting his gaze fall to his hand. He knew Trinity meant well, but sometimes, how often she thought he shouldn't do something got to him. Don't fight, don't get involved... Whatever it was. Was he that fragile? Or a ticking time bomb?

Trinity turned to face him. "Well, I'm gonna try this 'girl time' out and I will see you... Later?"

Wes nodded his head. "You'll know where to find me," he said quietly as he watched her walk away. He sat there for a good while, second guessing his decision to talk to Mason. But in the end, he decided it was something he wanted to do. There was so much crap going on at the camp, that if he could stop one fight by talking to dark and gloomy, then he would do it. Wes wasn't in a rush though, he casually strolled through the woods, passing by other campers as he made his way to Mason's cabin. As he rounded the corner, he came to a halt seeing an unfamiliar blonde on his porch. Wes's brows furrowed as he stood there like an idiot trying to decide if he should continue forward or turn around.

In the end, he pivoted on his heels and started walking in a different direction. Wes had no idea where to go, instead he just wondered aimlessly around the woods, kicking the occasional rock or stick. He eventually came upon a little opening in the trees where the wind blew softly and the sunlight illuminated the grass and dandelions. With a sigh, he sat down and laid back in the soft grass. It wasn't long that he was lying there when he felt something tickle his fingertips. It nearly made him jump out of his skin as he sat up abruptly, coming to find a rabbit that had scurried back a few feet. "Oh, uh... Sorry little guy, you scared me." Wes extended his hand back out toward the small fluff ball, letting calming emotions flow into the bunny. "Gods, when did I become the animal whisper?" He laughed to himself.

Sylas’s brows raised as the trio of newbies turned around after he spoke. He flashed his best smile. Did he mean it? Of course not. He couldn’t careless about most of these sniveling drama queens at the camp. This trio was no different. They seemed inseparable, arriving together, wondering together. Splitting them up or turning them against one another would be a fun task, but at the moment he was more focused on the tip toeing Alex. So, instead he allowed subtle feelings of discomfort emit out from him into the three of them. Just enough.

"Oh, we just arrived here so if there was any orientation we missed it."

"No kidding," he mused, looking between them. Sylas didn't say anything else, instead his eyes squinted slightly as he studied them. He could feel their discomfort, even before he heightened it. Surprisingly it wasn't because of himself, which would have been understandable. Afterall, under his friendly layers is a sociopath. He could only imagine that someone people get a pit in their gut when around him, not that Sylas minded. But they were discomforted... By Alex. The thought nearly made him laugh, but he kept it to himself. Funny how these so called leaders of the camp become so unhinged. It's too easy.

"Well, we'll just get explore the stable a bit more. Thanks and nice meeting you Alex."

He nodded his head toward them as they left Sylas alone with Alex, who quickly walked right up to him. He wasn't intimidated. His casual stature leaning against the doorframe, didn't change in the slightest.

"Have we met?"

Sylas pointed to himself as he spoke, "Sylas Astor, I was at the party last night and also was part of Capture the Flag. I suppose I'm easy to overlook for someone as popular as you and your brother. My sister and I are both newer here... She's brunette, awkward, doesn't really talk to anyone. So, you probably missed her." He chuckled slightly.

He parted his lips to say more, but said nothing as his brows furrowed together. Sylas couldn't see the person but he could feel... emotions moving closer to them. He pushed off the doorframe, uncrossing his arms as he looked around. Then he heard it. It was quiet, a whisper but there was power behind the words. "Hit him."

Before Alex could do anything, Sylas quickly reached out and grabbed her arm by the wrist. "You aren't very subtle," he said in the direction of mischievous emotions Sylas felt coming from the shadows. He was not in the mood to be punch in the face, he was still sore from his encounter with Andy earlier. That's when the thought hit him. With his hand on Alex, keeping her from hitting him and her attention distracted, he let the tendrils of discord slowly flow from him and into her. Physical touch always made for the strongest influence and he focused these feelings toward Andy. The girl who is taking your brother away from you and turning him against you slowly. She doesn't care about you. She thinks you're a murderer. You know the truth, Andy is just using your brother to isolate you, because you killed Jennova. You hurt the man she really cares about. She doesn't care about you. She doesn't care about Ajax. You need to protect your brother.

Sylas slowly released Alex's hand, still looking around suspiciously. "Sorry, I'd rather not be punched, if you don't mind." He flashed her a sympathetic smile.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Iliana allowed Heath to lead her towards the exit when she noticed out of the corner of her eye someone approach them and casually walk past them. She heard him whisper words to her and she felt the compulsion behind them and in her fragile mental state, she had no will power to stop them from affecting her.
Like a bolt of lightning, she suddenly took off running at top speed and hardly registered Heath's shout as he called out her name. It was just her need to get away from Alex's anger that cause her to take off immediately, plus the power behind the words. She had sprinted right pass two other young men who had been dueling.
Iliana had no idea where she was going, only that she had to get away from the stables as quickly as possible. She didn't even realize that Heath nor Ethan had followed her, which had been due to what was currently happening with Alex.
Even though Iliana was a faster runner then Heath and Ethan, she didn't have the endurance they had so it wasn't long before she ran out of breath. As she tried catching her breath she saw she was in a forested area and saw someone in front of her, bent down. Normally Iliana would have been terrified of meeting a complete stranger, but before she could walk away, she had caught his calming emotions. Still she was too shy to do anything else. Luckily for her, she still had her pen and notebook.
~Now what do I do?~ She wondered to herself.
Heath had instantly saw another person show up and start walking pass them. What happened next shocked Heath that it took him a few seconds to register it. One minute Iliana was right next to him and Ethan, the next second she took off like a gazelle.
"ILIANA!" He hollered, too stunned to do anything.
He would have took off after her, but Ethan grabbed his arm, restraining him.
"Heath! Keep calm and think, you know as well as I do that she's a faster runner then us. Let's not rush off with no direction okay? Remember we have tracking stone that Demeter gave us? Let's go get that from the cabins." Ethan replied.
Heath nodded, but his mind was still racing as to what caused Iliana to bolt in the first place. He always had to figure things out and find a logical explanation to things. He could tell that before his adopted sister took off she was starting to calm down, so what was that happened. It was then he recalled that someone had passed by them. He had looked young like the rest of them and so that meant he was a demigod. Did he have something to do with Iliana taking off? Turning, he looked at the person, who was now next to Alex and the other dark hair young man. It was at that moment he heard Alex to tell one of the guys to let go of her.
Things quickly went downhill from there as both Ethan and Heath felt Alex's power growing and they could hear thunder outside. Ethan groaned. What a way to find out who's daughter Alex was. Only a child of Zeus to affect the weather that way. Even with Iliana's abilities to control the wind, rain, and earth, she couldn't control thunder and lightning. Both young men started backing away. Ethan never wanted to use his serenity inducement so badly, but he couldn't because Alex's emotions were well beyond capabilities and he had just used a bunch on Iliana too.
Both Heath and Ethan turned when another person showed up and approached Alex calmly. Both guys let out a sigh of relief when the fella calmed down Alex and hugged her. Both heard him mention he was Alex's brother. He also turned his attention to the other two guys in the stable. Alex's brother was furious, and it appeared he believed those two were responsible for Alex's outburst. He commanded them to go to the main hall. Ethan moved to Heath's side and whispered in his ear.
"What do you think we should do now?"
Heath thought for a minute. He wanted to find his sister badly, but they couldn't just leave without drawing notice. Plus, Heath didn't want Zeus's son to think they had anything to do with what just happened. Better to address the situation.
Turning to Ethan, he replied, "Let me handle this."
Slowly coming into the view of the others, Heath bows in respect to Zeus's son.
"Forgive the intrusion, but my friend Ethan and I were just about to leave to go find my adopted sister, Iliana. She had taken off suddenly. Miss Alex, I do hope you feel better soon. Again, sorry for the interruption."
With that, both he and Ethan left the stables and started heading back to the cabins.
"A crooked nose might have improved your face a little. No offense," Emery said causing Andy laugh softly, while shrugging her shoulders. There are much worse things that having a bent nose. "You're really pretty. My grandma would have said a bit of difference, a once-broken nose maybe, would have added some character to your face. But I'm glad you look again."
Andy smiled sheepishly at the comment about her being pretty. It wasn't something she heard often, not even from Ajax. Compliments were always a foreign concept to her. But she appreciated it, nonetheless. "I think I would have liked your grandmother. Was she a big role model in your life?" Andy never met her grandparents. Presumably, they passed before she was born. Her father never talked about them much and since they bounced from one base to another frequently, it wasn't like she would of had to the opportunity to meet them if they were still alive. Her life was always absent a female role model of any sort, so whenever someone mentioned their own mothers, aunts or grandmothers, it piqued her curiosity.
"Me?" Emery asked.
"No, the guy standing behind you," Andy teased, pointing to the tree line behind Emery.
"I was on forward duty, moving towards the flag. Unfortunately, you know, I didn't really manage to move too far." Andy nodded her head, her gaze fixed on the sight beyond the cliff. Capture the Flag was definitely one of the exercises where some would flourish and others would be lost wondering around aimlessly until the final horn blew. She, herself, was only in the game for her brief encounter with Sylas before the drama of... everything pulled her away from it. She shook her head trying to shake off the thoughts. Andy needed a moment, this moment, to... breathe and not think about it.
"Don't be too hard on yourself. I mean, I don't know what you did, but I didn't quite manage to play my part either, which was pretty disappointing, to be honest." Andy nearly laughed at the comment about what part she played in the game. She didn't. She did what she does nearly every day... Keep Mason and Ajax from killing each other. Or better yet, protecting Alex who doesn't deserve it, so that Mason and Ajax didn't kill each other. "I'd hoped to be able to at least see some action. I'm definitely going to work harder on our next training activity."
"If you're ever wanting to train, I'd be happy to train with you. I'm sure Trinity would love to join as well." Andy glanced over her shoulder at Emery and smiled slightly. "I wouldn't worry too much about the exercises, honestly. We all learn more from training and sparring with each other anyway." A sad smile crossed her lips as she looked down at her hands. "If my brother was..." Her voice trailed off momentarily. "I'd warn you not to train with him. He has a tendency to make shit hit the fan. If I remember correctly, one time he conjured Leatherface or Jason... I don't know, one of those horror film baddies to chase after Trinity." She laughed softly. "He was a troublemaker... But like the good kind."
Then there was a comfortable silence. Gods, Andy forgot what that was like. For there to be a content calm, no arguing, death threats or apologies. She was so tired of the apologies. There comes a point where someone saying sorry so many times that it just, loses its meaning and Andy was tired of hearing it. But here, it felt like camp... Before everything. It was nice.
"How are you dealing with all the drama? Seems like you could use a break."
Andy let out a deep before laying back on the ground beside Emery. "That's the understatement of the year." Surprising, to herself, she was able to laugh about it, not a fake one but a real genuine laugh. "It's exhausting... It's like being a referee for lions." The sky began to rumble over head, a storm growing out of no where on a sunny day. Andy knew what it was and for the first time, she was in the presence of someone she didn't have to hide her true feelings around. She let out an audible groan and rolled her eyes. Such a small gesture but it felt like being able to breathe. She's never been able to just, get pissy about the whole situation without retaliation. "Looks like someone set her off."
Ji-Hyun froze halfway across his room, pivoting on his heels to turn and look at Sloane. "There's no need to be sorry, Sloane. Things happen. Besides, Wes came well prepared." He then continued on his path and grabs two sodas for them. "My friends know I don't mind when things go wrong. Things just happen. Sometimes... Sometimes things are shit. What are you gonna do about it? Just keep moving around it."
True enough, but was she his friend? Sloane hardly thought spending part of a day could change people from strangers to friends. But she was not the expert when it came to what counted as friendship. Her life has been absent of that comfort for as long as she can remember. She stood there patiently, watching as Ji-Hyun moved around two chairs for them. He motioned toward one for her, before he took his own seat. Sloane glanced to the door slightly. She could leave. Had she overstayed her welcome? But the thought of leaving and being faced with her brother, or worse, explaining to him where she's been, she decided to stay.
Sloane made her way across the room, taking the seat beside him. She took the offered can from Ji-hyun and cracked it open. "To Sloane, the only medic to ever apologize to me."
She chuckled softly and raised her can to meet his, then took a sip. Sloane laughed again at his sarcastic comment about her already asking a question, before he answered. "Is that what people are saying about me?"
Sloane paused with the can pressed to her lips and shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know what anyone says. I'm not really the most approachable person at camp," she admitted. Not that she overly minded that fact. She avoided people for a reason and that reason was Sylas.
"I'll have you know, Sloane, that I can in fact operate on very little sleep if I wanted. I could sleep for an hour each day and still be able to run circles around you. The difference is that I choose not to, because I have better things to exert energy on. Like right now." He motioned around in a general nature before continuing. "I'm sitting in a comfortable cabin with a friend and cold drink on a warm day. Alaric would have me out there fencing or learning how to take a tiger down with a nail file or whatever. It's obvious which is better."
Friend? Well that answered that question. Sloane smiled slightly as she ran her fingertip along the edge of the can. "You have a point... Some people here aren't what their parents have painted them to be." She raised the soda to her lips. "And some are," she concluded before taking a drink. Her gaze drifted to his window, where she happened to see a few campers passing by and what looked like a storm that grew in the sky. Her brows furrowed slightly. Something in her gut said that those clouds had something to do with her brother. But she refused to trouble herself with his own chaos.
"For what it's worth," she added, filling the silence that had grown. "I don't think I fall under what would be assumed for an Eris child." Sloane adjusted how she sat in the chair, tucking her right leg underneath her as she got more comfortable. "I mean... I have the abilities, and I'm actually better at them than my brother," she said in a hushed tone, almost as if she were afraid he could hear her if she spoke too loud. "But I don't find much pleasure in using them."
Slowly the rabbit moved its way from sniffing his fingertips, to allowing him to gently pet its ears. "See, that's not so bad is it?" Wes had never been much of a nature person. He had never been camping or canoeing and even if he could swim before his accident, well that was shot. But it seems that over his time at camp, he had at least gotten somewhat decent with animals. It was a subtle way for him to make sure his abilities didn't get rusty because he never liked using them on another person. But animals didn't come with the baggage that half of the people at camp had. So, much drama and tension. It was only a matter of time before someone overstepped and everyone was at each other’s throats. What was expected putting a bunch of superpowered teenagers together? They already cause enough trouble in High School, abilities only make it worse. But animals were simple. Once they were calm, they all wanted the same thing, comfort and companionship.
Wes had zoned out petting the fluffy little thing as his mind wondered, only to be brought back when the rabbit leapt into his lap. "What the—" He caught the little guy in his arm, slowly calming it as he looked around. It was until he glanced back over his shoulder that he noticed they were no longer alone. A blonde girl, young in comparison to the other campers by the looks of her. She was trying to catch her breath, and definitely looked like she was expecting to run into anyone.
He didn't want to frighten her. Wes could feel how shaken up she was and he wasn't going to press it, nor force her to be calm. He gently let the rabbit settle itself into his lap before he raised his hand in a surrendering manner. "Don't worry, you're safe." He gestured to the absence of people around him. "It's just me and uh..." Wes looked down at the rabbit. He had no idea if it was a male or female, nor did he have any intentions of hiking up its leg and checking. "Frank. Frank is a good name. Do you like that name?" He asked the rabbit, who was already half asleep in his lap. "And honestly, I think he's more dangerous than I am."
Wes smiled warmly and lowered his hand back to pet Frank's head. At a place like this, anyone could be a threat, but he found it hard to believe if anyone saw a one armed son of Aphrodite as anything but comical. "You can join us if you want... There's plenty of soft grass, so you don't have to sit anywhere near the weirdo with one arm talking to a bunny." He laughed to himself. Wes new Trinity would find this funny if she saw him like this. "I'm Wes... Son of Aphrodite." Because people at camp seem to care about that sort of thing. "And about as useful in combat as chopsticks."
With that he smiled at her welcomingly. "Oh yeah," he added, scooping up Frank in his arm. The ball of white fluff resting its head into Wes's hand, ears twitching at the sounds of birds above and leaves rustling. "And this is Frank. We became best friends like 5 minutes ago." He chuckled as he placed Frank back down in his lap gently.
"Get your hand off me now."
Sylas released her arm, holding up his hands in a surrendering manner as he took a step back. He made a sideways glance toward the new guy, raising his brows slightly. Damn this chick had a taste for the dramatics. Regardless of whatever things he implanted in her mind, he simply stopped her from punching him and she got her panties in a bunch. He had to repress the urge to roll her eyes at her anger. "I don't ask for permission when it comes to self defense. You'll be fine."
Of course, she wasn't. Like the flip of a coin, she started freaking out like a person in utter denial, or maybe someone losing what remained of her sanity. Sylas leaned back out the door slightly, to look up at the sky, seeing it change in an instant overhead. But he didn't back down, he stood there and watched as the chaos consumed her. It took everything in him to not smile at the downward she displayed before him. Sylas didn't think it would be so easy... So, simple. He usually took his time building people up, chipping away at their insecurities. Alex must have been tip toeing on the edge of instability for some time now, for one simple influence to push her over. He saw it now, plain as day, Alex was his key to the destruction of this camp. And the one person who would be more than happy to assist him, was the one person who wanted her dead.
Alex's eyes started to glow white as the rage boiled over in her. Sylas looked over at the stranger, quirking a brow. Was this a game of chicken now? They both caused this. Admittedly, more Sylas than him. Now it was a test of bravery to see who would out last the other before running for shelter. He was curious how long the other guy would last, but he had no plan to move. He wanted to witness this all first hand.
But then... Captain Camp showed up to calm Alex down. Sylas's interest quickly diminished. He turned on his heels and started to leave when he heard Ajax's annoying voice order him. "You two. Head to the main hall. Now. And don't even think about detouring, or not heading there, because I will find you."
Sylas couldn't hold it back this time, he let out a laugh as he slid his hands into his pockets. "No." Simple, concise and to the point.
“I didn’t mean for all that.” Really? Because Sylas did. Unfortunate how people don't have the balls to back up their actions. If you're going to act so open... Stupidly, then fucking back it up. Don't tuck your tail between your legs and back pedal. Sylas wasn't caught, yet. So, anonymity was his friend. “Not that it’s worth much from the mouth of a Hera descendant, I suppose?” And the dots connect. Hera was known for her taste for chaos almost as much as his own mother. This was a gentleman he would like to get acquainted with, at a later date. “I don’t take orders from you. But come find me if you’re feeling bored.”
"Everyone else at camp might worship the ground you walk on, but you're not my superior. You are a camper here. Just like the rest of us." He took a step toward the door, pivoting around so he was walking backwards but still facing Ajax. "I'm not going to get scolded at like a puppy because I stopped your unstable sister from punching me. If you want me, come find me. But, it looks like you have your hands full anyway," he added while motioning toward the pair.
And before Ajax could argue otherwise, they both were gone. The son of Hera disappeared into the shadows, while Sylas confidently strolled down the path towards the woods, not even wasting the energy to look back. He had better places to be. Before he knew it, he found himself heading towards the cabins, one in particular, home to someone of a like mind. It was only a matter of time before he rounded one path, finding himself faced with a curious sight of Mason's lips pressed to a saucy blonde he had yet to set eyes upon. Far be it for Sylas to intervene. Instead he opted to lean his right shoulder against a nearby tree. It wasn't long that he raised a brow to approaching footsteps. He sighed, trying not to roll his eyes at the sight of the two men from the trio of newly arrived campers. Gods, did that group ever know how to sever the umbilical cord?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Iliana observed as the young man interacted with something. She wondered who's son he belong to because she felt naturally drawn to him. Was it his soothing energy or something else? She tried to recall what she knew about the other gods, but was drawing up blank. That was because her memory worked best when things naturally came to her, not when she forced it. Still she slowly approached him and it was then she noticed he was missing an arm. She never met anyone who was missing a limp before. She couldn't help but wonder if he was born that way or lost it another way. Her gut told her he lost it somehow.

She froze in fear though when he turned around and saw her. She would have bolted but he spoke up.

"Don't worry, you're safe."

He then proceeded to try and calm her down and she finally saw he was holding a rabbit. While Iliana had a bigger affinity for flora, she still liked fauna. Hearing the demi-god say that the rabbit was probably more dangerous then him caused the edges of Iliana's mouth to tip up slightly. While it wasn't even a grin, it was probably the closest to a grin Iliana had had in a long time. The person then proceeded to introduce himself as Wesley and that he was Aphrodite's son. Well that made sense since he had this air about him that drew her in. Iliana had only met Aphrodite once when she was a small child and had briefly lived with her mother. It was the time right after her father's death and before she went to live with Heath's family. She had never met anyone more beautiful. She had just learned how to make flower wreaths and gave one to Aphrodite at random when the goddess visited her mother's private greenhouse for something. The Goddess of Beauty loved it and told her she had a knack for making beautiful things. It was those words as to why Iliana still made flower wreaths.

After Wesley finish speaking, Iliana came forward and sat down next to him before writing in her note pad before holding it out. She always used a clean sheet when talking with strangers.

On it it said, "My name is Iliana and my mother is Demeter. I can't talk. I've met your mother years ago. She was nice."

After Wesley read it, she pulled the notebook back to her and looked down. It was very hard to look people in the eye still.

"That was pretty intense back there wasn't it Heath? I've heard how powerful Zeus could be, but to see one of his kids start to use it . . . needless to say I am glad Alex's brother calmed her down before she unleashed her power. I don't think I could have lived through that. What do you suppose caused Alex to get churned up like that? She was already a ticking time bomb." Ethan commented after they left the stables.

Heath thought on that for a moment. While it was true that Alex was already walking on the edge, she didn't appear to start to go over it until after she approached the one guy, who had seemed to also give Iliana some uneasiness.

"This is only an educated guess, Ethan, but it may had to have something to do with those two other guys in the stables. I know there are some Demigods who's powers can cause emotional chaos, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was something like that. It's not our problem anymore so let's focus on the task at hand. Hopefully if we're lucky, Iliana hasn't run into anyone." Heath replied, wanted to concentrate on finding his adopted sister.

She would always come first for him, but he would definitely pass closer attention to those other guys from here on out.

Ethan nodded in compliance and the two continued to walk in silence, but the auburn hair demigod didn't stay quiet for long. He was an extrovert after all and talking came naturally to him.

"You know I can't help but wonder what the true purpose of this camp is. Is it really meant to be a sanctuary?"

That caused Heath to turn sharply and he replied instantly, "Oh course it is. Our mothers promised us we'd be safe from humans here."

"Mmm, yes, from humans, but what about from each other? We don't know anyone here and when you have basically a bunch of strangers with powers together, it's bound to cause drama. And not to mention that I think my mom did say there were campers here from last year. Who knows what kind of relationships were established back then."

"So what's your point?"

"That I really hope this place helps Iliana and she not regress if there's too much drama."

Heath would have responded, but the two suddenly came upon something they thought they'd never see. There appeared to be a couple of sorts kissing. And they were right in site of the path that led to their cabin. Ethan turned away and saw one of the same guys as before leaning against a tree. This was definitely a more awkward situation and so the two just look at each other and decided to take the back route. Quietly, they walked away and went behind the cabins.

AJAX VALIS
SON OF ZEUS
Hex: Green |

Image "Forgive the intrusion, but my friend Ethan and I were just about to leave to go find my adopted sister, Iliana. She had taken off suddenly. Miss Alex, I do hope you feel better soon. Again, sorry for the interruption."

Alex didn't respond. Instead, she kept her arms wrapped around her brother who held her with his arm, her eyes watching as Ajax nodded once as a thank you before both of the guys headed off toward the cabins. They definitely didn't look like the sort to stir up something for nothing, or just to get a kick out of others reactions. Ajax understood their urgency to seek out their sister, and he wasn't about to hold them back from it, just to interrogate them further.

Being bowed to was a shock, but the other two's reaction to Ajax's authority wasn't.

“I didn’t mean for all that. Not that it’s worth much from the mouth of a Hera descendant, I suppose? I don’t take orders from you. But come find me if your feeling bored.” Ajax glared at Pete, and then looked at Sylas.

Sylas laughed. "No. Everyone else at camp might worship the ground you walk on, but you're not my superior. You are a camper here. Just like the rest of us." Oh how wrong he was. Ajax was more than just some leader/superior. He was heir to the throne of Mount Olympus. Ajax watched as he took a step toward the door, pivoting around so he was walking backward but still facing Ajax. "I'm not going to get scolded at like a puppy because I stopped your unstable sister from punching me. Ajax had to keep himself calm, hoping that Sylas wouldn't cross the line any more than that. Calling her unstable wasn't right, but any other words that came sprouting out of his mouth would, definitely, cross the line. "If you want me, come find me. But, it looks like you have your hands full anyway," There was no chance in hell that Ajax was going to run after him. He wasn't worth it. He'd allow the child to have his little staged limelight. For now.

They were both gone in no time. The son of Hera disappeared into the shadows, while Sylas confidently strolled down the path towards the woods.

Ajax rolled his eyes and clenched his jaw firmly as he shook his head. Both of them no doubt peacocking around the camp.

"Shall we get something to eat and drink? we haven't hung out together much, and I need to talk to you." They could have just spoken there, but it looked like Alex hadn't been eating much, or sleeping as much since her complexion was looking a lot paler than her Greek rooted tone. She had forgotten to take care of herself as she slipped into more and more depression. This entire situation with him neglecting her and leaving her on her own was a bad idea. He never should have allowed her to be by herself when he knew what happened with their mother.

ALEXANDRIA VALIS
DAUGHTER OF ZEUS
Hex: #d63b71|

Image Alex silently nods before she follows him towards the hall.

She didn't have much of an appetite these days, but getting time with her brother... she needed it. The hall was lined with tables and chairs, a small reminder of a high school canteen. Only this time, the food was actually decent with no angry lunch lady glaring from behind the counter, making sure everyone enjoyed every mouthful of her food.

Alex took a seat after her brother did, and rested both her arms on the table. "So what did you want to talk about?" She frowned softly as her eyes remained on him.

Ajax glanced briefly across the hall towards the door before looking back to his sister. "About, mom."

Alex closed her eyes for a second or two before she sighed, and reopened them. "Do we really have to? I mean... fine... what about her?"

Mentioning her brought back painful memories for both of them, but Ajax needed to get to the bottom of what happened. Surely then the entire camp would cease from the drama it caused with not only Mason, but others that took his side to defend him. "Tell me exactly what you remember that night, and... how you found out the truth."

Alex took a deep breath and exhaled gently before she began to tell him all that she could remember...

It was during last year at camp, and during the holidays, Demi-gods and Demi-goddesses could choose if they wanted to remain at camp or spend some time with their family before returning for their new term of training. Camp Athens wasn't all training, though, there were always events and plenty of activities on the grounds such as... canoeing, hiking, swimming in the large lake that connected to a cascading waterfall, horse riding, training grounds, art room and so much more to fulfill everyone's needs.

Alex had decided to head back home with her brother, but it wasn't for long. A short-lived trip that had turned into a life-long nightmare.

With Ajax back in his old familiar room, and with Alex in hers, he decided to head out to check the old neighborhood. A culdesac in Nova Scotia; Canada. His old friends had long gone from the area without a single letter or text, so he cut all ties with them and paid attention to the only friend he knew and trusted. Duke.

Back at the house, Mrs. Parkingston, the neighbor who lived across the street with her husband and cat, stood in the window after flashing lights of blue and red filled her lounge. She peered past the cream curtains, straining her old eyes to see. An ambulance, along with two police cars had parked outside of the Valis residence.

Ajax remembered he had sprinted towards the house when he saw the paramedics wheeling out a body. The sheets covered in blood. His heart sank. "MOM? ALEX?" he shouted for them, hoping the body had been an intruder who had broken into their home, leaving the asshole to deal with his mother and sister. Inside, he only found Alex being handcuffed with tears running down her face.

"AJ!" she yelled to him as the police took her away.

"No. Let her go... you have this all wrong. My sister isn't a killer. Al, don't say anything. I'll bring you a lawyer."

Snapping back to the present. Alex sighed. "Before we left camp, I had found it sitting in my room. It definitely wasn't mine, or... I don't remember it. It was pretty, so I wore it. I can't remember killing our mother, but the memory of everything came back to me in small doses after the bracelet was removed from me. They wanted it for evidence as it was covered in blood." She took it out of her pocket and placed it gently into her brother's hand. This time there was no traces of blood.

he studied it carefully. "So it was cursed?"

Alex nodded. "Must have been. Maybe we can ask Evelyn or Daniel and see if they can find any traces of magic left on it?"

He nodded. "Good idea, but first, I need to call a meeting. Finish your food while I go and announce it." He leaned over the table, and kissed the top of her head before he headed outside and towards the staff's cabin.

The speakers came to life in no time. "All camp members, new and old... please head to the hall for a meeting." With that short announcement, Ajax headed back to the hall to Alex, and waited for the arrival of the others.

Image He was on his way out of Daniel's cabin when Evelyn grabbed him. He looked to her hand first then met her pleading eyes. “Hey, what do you think happened last year?” Duke sighed out and shifted his weight. That would be a long story and Daniel didn't seem too open to talk about it himself.

"Anything could have happened to him, he and trouble constantly met half way." For that exact reason, Duke didn't have the slightest idea what could have happened last year for him to change so much.

“He's...he's not well.”

"That, I know. Look, you and staff know him as Keith but his name's Daniel. There was a war and no one had seen him since. And from what I heard, he wasn't in a condition to walk off or teleport anywhere." Duke didn't see what happened to the camp's favorite magician exactly but he knew Daniel was widely believed as deceased.

“I need somebody who was close to him. Who knows what might have happened to him or who's out to hurt him.”

Duke knew it was Evelyn's way of asking, relying and suggesting his assistance in one. He looked off in the distance. Part of him didn't want to tangle with such a case but he couldn't refuse to help. He nodded to Evelyn then left in search for someone. A Valis might have fit the criteria, he knew Alex and Daniel had a brief thing, whereas Ajax was well informed and trust worthy. Then there was Andromeda to consider of course.

"All camp members, new and old... please head to the hall for a meeting."

That saved him going on a wild goose chase. As he headed to the hall, the same place others were being corralled, he saw Wesley and jogged to join him in stride. "Wesley, did Alex give you your arm?" Clearly Wes didn't have the prosthetic arm on, but if it needed adjustments for comfort or size, the sooner they worked on it the better.

He almost missed the short and timid company Wesley was in. Almost. Duke second looked her and smiled slightly. "Hey..." he recognized the girl as the one that had darted by in the training grounds. But that run wasn't one for training or fun. He could ask if she was okay now but that might have risked some unpleasant emotions resurfacing."I missed you before, I'm Duke." He held out his hand.

Image Evangeline's mouth was still for a bit but then she kissed back with a vengeance. And it all became rather pleasurable and less about escaping people. He could have kissed her a while longer but she pushed him away with a hand on his chest looking towards the retreating figures. It worked better than he could have hoped. Maybe he should have smacked lips with strangers more often.

“Looks like the peanut gallery is gone. What a shame.” At those words, he looked at her again to be met by a smirk. “The blonde one was gorgeous, we could have asked him to join us.”

He snarled, showing his obvious disgust in the comment. Those Aphrodite kids were flimsy and a little too loose for his liking.

“Oh and forgive me if my love radar is screwy, it might be because I’m not related to Aphrodite. I believe you call my mother Hera?” Mason did his best not to give her a reaction, but it was evident he was displeased. Her lies were harmless but gave him a complete different impression than the snake underneath. His confession before suddenly seemed not just gossip but ammunition for her. Mason inhaled through his nose suppressing the urge to charge her and torture her until she turned into the fragile girl she played for real. Then again, taking down spoiled bitches might have been more of Trinity's domain.

“He’s all yours. But be warned he’s a sloppy kisser.” The remark seemed a little out of the way to try annoy him, but got his attention on Sylas. He rolled his eyes and approached the son of Eris.

"At least I got a kiss out of it," he said, for once trying to see the bright side. Once Evangeline was gone, Mason finally smiled. "If I was her, I would have held that card a little longer. She would have had so much potential. But now...tut...such a waste." Mason could throw off her game with other campers if he so desired. Luckily for her he didn't care that much about fellow demigods so it wouldn't be a frequent disruption.

"So what about you Sylas? What have you been up to?" In briefly knowing the guy, it was likely he had been doing something. It was just a matter if the guy wanted to show and tell.

When the announcement came on Mason cracked another cold smile. "I suppose we're all heading to the hall then." And Mason did that without any audible complaints, though not exactly a good pace either. When Ajax came over the system it usually wasn't for personal reasons.

Mason didn't bother sitting, hoping it was at least a brief little gathering they were having then he could slip straight out the doors again. Mason saw something then and slowly moved across the back of the hall, prowling towards it. He didn't want to catch the attention of others, much more for Andy to see it first.

Image The tension was palpable and there was nothing he could do to change it but wait it out. Evelyn offered to get some drinks and Keith directed her to the kitchen. Even she wanted to escape the mood of the room for a bit, a sturdy daughter of Nemesis. That must have been some record. Sitting there alone for a time, Keith thought Evelyn might have outright abandoned ship. His gut sunk. He had to see it coming. But she returned with their drinks and Keith lit up.

"Do you want to play anything? Cluedo, aahh monopoly, 21, Yahtzee, Operation?" Admittedly they were games better played in a group larger than two but he wasn't one drowning in popularity and options.

Apparently there was no time for a game to come out because Ajax came over the speakers requesting a meeting in the hall. "That's a bummer." Not that his guest likely shared his enthusiasm for a good old fashioned board game.

Keith headed over with Evelyn slowly, his goal walking there being to show he could get there in one piece his own without using the red haired girl as support. He was very pleased with himself when he stepped through the hall doors. He shuffled out of the way of entering and exiting demigods and sat on a table near the back wall. He thought he was pretty safe there, not in immediate view or in the way, a wall behind him, minding his own business..

"Daniel? What are you doing here?" No such luck. The son of Hades wanted to torment him now.

"I was told to come to the hall like everyone else. If you want this spot, just take it." Keith moved to his feet choosing to avoid conflict, but was shoved down again by the shoulders.

"I can't believe you're alive," he spoke in a hushed tone, eyeing him head to toe. Okay, he was useless and uncoordinated, he got that but that was a little harsh. "How are you here?"

Keith noticed Mason was blocking the door from view, cornering him. "A series of travelling methods, you know car, plane..." Mason frowned, apparently it wasn't the answer he was after and he looked displeased. Keith fiddled with his arm cuffs. "How...how were your holidays?"

"Seriously?"

Keith nodded hesitantly as if it were a trick question. There was another heavy silence. Maybe he should just be master of tense moments. He looked around uneasily for witnesses to the assault to come. "You don't have to go into it if you don't want," he muttered.

"Is it a just a stereotype, then, that Eris children are all manipulative?" Sloane chuckled at Ji-hyun's comment, quickly bringing the soda to her lips. She wouldn't say she was manipulative, but that she is manipulated by her brother to do so. She never met any other children of Eris, but she could only assume that most of them fit the bill.

After she mentioned her own stance on her parentage and what came with it, Ji-hyun seemed interested, even leaning forward in his seat. "What can you guys do? I assume children of discord are able to influence emotions, but I'm not too sure of your other abilities."

"Yeah, we can manipulate emotions... It tends to work with existing emotions, just kind of twisting them or heightening them rather than drawing from something new or characteristic. I guess that would also depend on someone's subtly, or lack thereof." Sloane leaned back in her seat, her brows furrowing while her fingertip traced the brim of the can. She had never been asked to list what she is capable of. It all felt so fluid, a small part in a bigger machine. "I can also cause chaos... like make people violent or angry, kinda like an aura type thing. But the thing I'm best at is hallucinations... Like manipulating perceived reality."

Sloane parted her lips to say something else when thunder rumbled overhead. It was so loud it made her jump slightly where she sat, looking to the window, surprised at how dark it had gotten in the short time she was in Ji-hyun's cabin.

"Ah, those two, on the other hand... they could be good at what they did if they wanted to, but with all the storms they're bringing to camp it's a wonder the ecosystem isn't entirely ruined by unnecessary amounts of rain." Sloane looked back to Ji-hyun, smiling slightly at his comment. "Total waste of energy if you ask me." Her eyes widened as she nodded her head silently in agreement. It took her a long time to learn how to fully control her abilities. It took patience and practice... And she didn't think the Zeus duo knew that, or cared.

"But nevermind them. You were saying?"

Before she could attempt to say anything further, a voice echoed over a P.A. system that must have been setup throughout the camp. "All camp members, new and old... please head to the hall for a meeting."

Sloane didn't know the voice, but whose voice did she know beyond her brother's and Ji-Hyun's? She sighed, finishing the last bit of the drink she was offered before moving to her feet. "I guess that means us too?" It was more of a rhetorical question. Sloane would have much preferred hiding out in that cabin all day avoiding meetings, other campers and her brother, but it didn't look like that was an option. "Are you coming?" She asked looking back toward Ji-Hyun as she stepped toward the door.

It wasn't long before they found their way to the main hall. A handful of campers had already arrived, faces she might have seen in passing but Sloane couldn't put a name to a face. Instead of trying to make idle chat with people she didn't care to know, she found her way to an empty table and took a seat. Hopefully, whatever this meeting was, wouldn't be long. She highly doubted it involved her.

The young blonde seemed apprehensive at first, hesitant to approach him or maybe not knowing what to make of Wes. But he didn't move instead just deciding to remain where he was. There really wasn't much else he could do. After a moment she slowly approached him and sat down in the grass beside him. She then pulled out a notepad and proceeded to write.

Wes's brows furrowed as he watched her, before the girl turned the pad around and showed him what she wrote. "My name is Iliana and my mother is Demeter. I can't talk. I've met your mother years ago. She was nice."

He had to fight the urge to laugh at the comment. Iliana seemed genuine in her remark. Wes's own relationship was nothing so simple. But it'd make sense for someone like Aphrodite to have a natural compassion about her in regards to others. He nodded his head and gave him best smile. "I'm sure she was."

Wes didn't know if he was thankful or annoyed at the sound of Ajax's voice echoing throughout the camp. On the one hand, he didn't have to dive into his relationship with his mother... If it could even be called that. But, he also wasn't in the mood to leave Frank or trudge his way back toward the main part of camp. Either way, it didn't seem like he had a choice.

With a sigh, Wes slowly lifted Frank from his lap, giving him a final pet. "Alright buddy, my cabin is down that way," he said pointing in the general direction of his cabin. "If you ever need some carrots, come on by." He stood up slowly and motioned his head toward the center of camp. "We've been summoned," he chuckled.

They were nearly to the hall when Wes heard footsteps approaching from behind. He glanced over his shoulder in time to see Duke approaching. "Wesley, did Alex give you your arm?"

Wes glanced down at the place where his right arm used to be, confused. "Wouldn't it be like... decomposing by now?" The thought of his previous arm and the state it would be in made his face scrunch slightly in disgust. But after a minute, he connected the dots and his eyes widened. "Ooooh. Yeah, no. I haven't seen Alex since Capture the Flag."

He looked toward the hall as Duke and Iliana acquainted themselves. Wes cleared his throat and nodded his head in the direction of the hall. "I'll see you all inside." He slowly entered the hall and scanned the room for either an empty seat or a table to join. When he saw a tuft of familiar blonde hair, a small smile grew upon his lips and he took a step toward her. But then he froze, able to feel the anger and animosity coming off of Trinity even at that distance.

Part of him thought he should leave her be and that whatever was bothering her, she could come to him if she needed him. But Wes never liked seeing her upset, so he slowly made his way over to her table. "Hey," he said softly as he placed his hand on her shoulder, taking a seat beside her. "Is everything ok?" His gaze scanned her face for an answer while he gently rubbed her arm with his thumb.

The unfamiliar blonde parted herself from Mason and trotted her way toward Sylas like she didn't have a care in the world. “He’s all yours. But be warned he’s a sloppy kisser.”

He couldn't help but chuckle, raising his brows in amusement. "Well, I wasn't planning on making an honest man out of him." Sylas pushed off the tree after the blonde left, looking toward Mason as he approached.

"At least I got a kiss out of it." Fair point. Who didn't enjoy locking lips every once and awhile. "If I was her, I would have held that card a little longer. She would have had so much potential. But now...tut...such a waste."

"Some people are narrow minded... Lack vision." He shrugged his shoulders. "I do believe I must have met a brother of hers. Interesting. Seems they may do my work for me... Take the fall for it too." He smirked slightly. "Even better."

"So what about you Sylas? What have you been up to?" Mason asked. But before Sylas could answer the inquiry, an announced rang overhead. Was that really his ploy? Neither himself nor the other guy wanted to listen to Captain Camp, so now he calls a meeting of the entire camp. What a pussy. "I suppose we're all heading to the hall then."

Sylas couldn't help but roll his eyes. Not at Mason, but the situation. "I was making good on my word, he started as he walked alongside Mason, heading toward the hall. "It's seems Alex is inches from going over the edge. It was almost too easy sending her into a fit. Almost took the fun out of it."

When they reached the hall, Sylas lingered for a moment, adding one final statement before they parted ways. "I should probably warn you, that in persuading her toward instability," he said with a hushed tone so only Mason could hear. "I had to implicate a certain favorite of yours." Sylas then gave Mason a reassuring pat on the shoulder as he walked past him. "But she seems tough. I'm sure she'll be fine."

With nothing more to add, Sylas entered the hall, his eyes quickly setting upon his sister sitting at a table with the boy he saw her with early. Sylas was never the subtle type, nor did he care about making shitty first impressions with people he didn't care about befriending. "Sloane... What are you doing?"

Sloane visibly tensed at the presence of her brother at the table. In that moment she wished Ji-hyun wasn't there and he didn't have to see this. Or that her brother didn't set his sights on him. "This is Ji-hyun."

"I didn't ask who you were doing. I asked what are you doing?" Sylas's gaze shifted over to the unwelcome male sitting with his sister. "Why are you wasting your time here? She's just playing you like she does everyone else. She's just using you. Sloane doesn't make friends with worthless no bodies."

"Sylas, stop." She was visually uncomfortable, no longer able to meet Ji-hyun's gaze or her brother's.

"Or what?"

"Trinity's an Ares, right? I'd love to train with you guys, if you'll have me."

"Yeah, of course." Andy smiled. "I mean, you'll learn a lot more from her. But, you're always welcome. And we operate under a no drama umbrella." She laughed softly. There was so much drama already at camp, that, at least, during training, they could not think about it.

Andy propped herself up on her elbows, looking over at Emery as she spoke. "My grandma, yeah, she pretty much raised me. She was the toughest old lady I ever knew, and she wanted me to be perfect so she tried to lead by example." And then there was silence. "I miss her."

"I miss my brother," Andy admitted. She knew Emery might not know the whole story, not like the others at camp. Someday, she would have to tell her. Maybe that was something else they could share? A sympathy of loss. But right now wasn't the time. She didn't even know if she would be capable of getting through that conversation at the moment, with the news she just learned. How would Andy explain that? Her brother died in a war and now is back, but isn't, but she doesn't really know because she hasn't set eyes on him? That was too much to lay on someone all at once.

Then with the incoming storm came a whole other boat of drama. It seemed Andy just lived in the middle of it no matter how much she wished she didn't. "Set who off?" She didn't have to answer the question, Emery pieced it together fast enough. "I take it you're not the biggest fan of the Zeus children? Or... just Alex?"

Andy laughed weakly. "She uh... Killed my best friend's sister. I was the first one to arrive after it happened... I buried her." She sat up right, shrugging her shoulders. "That changes your opinion of a person."

Then as if right on cue, Ajax's voice alerted all the campers to head to the main hall. Andy couldn't help but sigh. She was enjoying this... A moment away from all the drama, with someone who didn't sit there and tell her that her best friend was a piece of shit or her boyfriend was a piece of shit. Just a kind face to talk to and forget. Andy moved to her feet and offered Emery a hand. They took their time walking there, or maybe it was just her. Andy wasn't particularly in a rush to get back into a crowd of people who were ready to rip each other’s faces off.

She followed behind Emery as they walked into the hall, catching sight of Theo who seemed to be looking out for her. "I think someone is looking for you." Andy smiled, nodding her head toward him. "I'll catch up with you later." She gently patted Emery's arm before she moved her way through the room. Andy saw Trinity and Wes, glimpses of Alex and Ajax, who she was in no particular rush to go and talk to. It didn't take her long to find Mason, talking to someone she couldn't make out by the back of their head.

Andy weaved her way through the people until she reached him, gently hooking her hand in the bend in Mason's arm. "Hey," she said softly to get his attention. "I'm sorry about leaving. I needed air and—" She stopped mid-sentence when she saw Mason's company. The sight took the breath from her, leaving Andy standing their in a dumbfounded silence. It looked just like him, short brown hair, height... face, but the expression was mischievous and his eyes were different.

She didn't know what to do or to say. Her grip tightened on Mason's arm like a life line as she looked this Keith dead in the eyes, trying not to be hysterical and shake the true Daniel back into him. What was she supposed to say? It didn't matter when she couldn't bring herself to speak. "I... uh... Do you know who I am?"

If there was one thing Iliana didn't mind, it was when others talked very little. That seem to be the case with Wes. After she introduced herself, he only said one thing.

"I'm sure she was."

He didn't say anything else after that. Iliana couldn't help but wonder what kind of relationship he had with his mother. It was none of her business of course, but Iliana be lying if didn't admit she was curious. Her own relationship with her mother was one that was very close. She certainly saw her mother more often then Heath saw his. And her mother very busy. She did wonder if it was because she needed a lot of work, especially with her empathy impacting her own abilities. Of course she got help from Heath's aunts too. In some ways though she felt like she fell them because she knew they tried to help her so much.

Iliana was jolted out of her thoughts though when she heard an announcement.

"All camp members, new and old... please head to the hall for a meeting."

Who was that? He definitely sounded serious. Iliana knew she should follow the instructions, but she had no idea where this hall was. She looks at Wes, hoping he knew where this place was. He was talking to the rabbit though and let him go. He stood up and addressed her. She got up too and started following him. Yep, he definitely knew where he was going for soon she saw a building. They almost made it to the hall when someone called out to Wesley. Something about an arm? Instinctively, Iliana hid behind Wes and simply listen. It seemed like Wes was going to get a new arm. She did know that people could get prosthetic limbs if they needed it. Maybe that's what this new guy was talking about.

Before she knew it though, Wes left and Iliana found herself alone with the other guy. Looking at him, she felt very shy. He was very different from Wesley. Wesley had a charismatic aura about him, this guy had an intimidating air, despite his friendly voice. She barely register his words to her and offering his hand. If one were to look at Iliana right now, they easily could tell she had that 'deer in head lights' look about her. Mentally though she scolded herself.

~Easy there, Lia, he's just trying to be nice and introduce himself. What was his name again? . . . Duke right?~ she thought to herself.

Taking a few deep breaths, she slowly calmed her racing heart and hesitantly placed her hand in Duke's and let him shake her hand. After her hand was released, she quickly wrote in her notepad and already decided this would be her general greeting for anyone else who just wanted to know her name at least. Since Duke didn't reveal his divine parent, she wouldn't either. After she finished writing, she held up the notepad so Duke could read it.

"Hello, my name is Iliana. I am sorry but I don't speak. Nice to meet you."

After he read it, Iliana brought her notebook back to her chest. She didn't know what else to do. She wished Ethan and Heath were here. She was tempted to look inside the main hall, but she could feel anger from inside the building.

Lucky for Iliana, she was about to get her wish. Both Heath and Ethan had retrieved the tracking stone when they heard the announcement.

"Well now, looks like we got this stone just in time. Hey Heath, you had gotten a map of this place right? Do you know where this main hall is?" Ethan asked the blonde.

"Yes, but only from other locations in this camp like the cabins. If Lia is someplace that's not a landmark, it'll be harder to find. We better find Iliana quickly. I don't want to get in trouble."

"Right, that voice did sound like Alex's brother and I certainly don't want to get on his bad side. This meeting might relate to what we just saw."

The two existed their cabin and put the tracking stone to use, which was attuned specifically to Iliana's energy. Surprisingly it led them in the direction of the main hall and soon they spotted Iliana with Duke. Heath was so relieved he started running towards them. Ethan wasn't too far behind.

"Iliana!"

Iliana heard her name and saw Heath and Ethan rushing towards her. Relief washed over her and she ran out to meet them before leaping at Heath and he caught her and hugged her closely. After a few minutes, the two pull back.

"You really had me scared their Lia. What happened?"

Iliana quickly wrote down all that happened, including the part of hearing the order to run and meeting Wesley and Duke. Heath frowned where he read the order part. So it was true she had been influenced.

"Well, I am just glad you're okay. I guess we better go inside now."

It was then they noticed Duke. Ethan was quick to approach the man.

"Sorry to interrupt your conversation with Iliana. My friend and I had been looking for Iliana after she had taken off suddenly. One of the campers had given her an order to take off. My name is Ethan and that's Heath. Iliana is his adopted sister and I am just a friend of theirs. I'd wish we could talk more, but there's that meeting here. Thanks for being kind to Iliana." Ethan explained before the trio start heading inside. As they pass him, both Heath and Iliana nod to Duke.

When they entered inside, Iliana saw Wesley sitting next to a blonde girl, who was the one radiating angry energy. She wanted to say hi to Wesley, but the blonde's anger was enough to keep her away. There were others here so Heath led them to an area away from the crowd because he could tell his sister didn't want to be with anyone else. He especially didn't want to be close to that one guy who caused Alex to lose it, who was conversing with a dark hair young woman, who was sitting next to someone who appeared to be of Asian decent. Ethan saw the others too and was hoping to meet some of them but decided to stick with Heath and Iliana for now.

Image "Wouldn't it be like... decomposing by now?" Duke frowned, even more so as Wes made a disgusted face. "Ooooh. Yeah, no. I haven't seen Alex since Capture the Flag." He finally gave an answer Duke could work with.

He nodded looking off. "I see. Well it's incoming, obviously the courier got held up." Alex had a lot of her own drama to deal with, a prosthetic limb to deliver probably faded to the background. Not that Wes ever made a big deal of the matter but having another arm would make his life a lot easier. It seemed it was just Duke affected by his project.

The girl hesitated for a long time, he thought he might have somehow insulted her culture or similar then she took his hand. He was sure to shake it gently, treating her as delicate as a rose to avoid startling her further.
Wes excused himself as the girl rushed to something on her being. A notepad. She struck him as absolutely lovely, however drawing for him was an odd gesture.

"Hello, my name is Iliana. I am sorry but I don't speak. Nice to meet you." Iliana introduced herself by paper and he smiled suddenly feeling foolish.

"No need to be sorry. You're as fast at writing as you are on foot. Besides, the quieter ones always take the most in." It was a fact. The quiet ones were more observant and in tune with themselves and others. That was a valuable skill and talent to possess.

Duke went to proceed to the hall, opening the door for Iliana then a voice called out for her. The pair ran towards each other and embraced. He watched the exchanged and smiled slightly. Reunions always were very satisfying but it reminded him of a similar sibling relationship on camp.

Thanks for being kind to Iliana."

Duke had follow up questions for Ethan like "who ordered her to take off? How are you three close? Why doesn't Iliana speak?", however the new trio didn't want to risk being untimely to their first meeting. "Of course, my pleasure. Duke," he said with a hand on his own chest. Since they had given their names it only felt right to give his.

He nodded back to them and entered the hall. Duke wandered over to Ajax, although rather than make himself at home on their table, he leaned on the wall nearby. He scanned the hall and found Trinity on the verge of causing some blood shed. "Aja..." he let his voice trail off. Ajax had enough to worry about. He didn't need containing the daughter of war to be one even if his strength was equal match to Trinity's. Nonetheless, right under their nose, Duke was particularly interested to find Alex had made a new friend. Or something like that. The conversation didn't seem too friendly, but if Alex or Ajax wouldn't fry the guy, Duke would.

There was too much demigod drama to monitor and be in control of.

AJAX VALIS
SON OF ZEUS
Hex: Green |

On the outside, Ajax looked confident, but as he watched everyone enter the main hall, he felt his confidence flicker like a breeze against newly lit flame. He had never grasped the horns of leadership, not properly, but he was doing his best, or so he told himself most nights. So many wrong choices, but even leaders can't always be right. He still blamed himself for the lives that had been prematurely snuffed out last year, even though he knows it's impossible to save everyone. Not even Gods have that power.

Fate is fate.

At camp his efforts had never once been for his father, they had been for the camp. Even if some of them hated him enough to want him dead alongside his sister - a gentle soul that had been touched almost by death, and darkness that wanted to consume her. She hardly had any fight left, and all of that was also his fault for not being a better brother.

He had left her thinking she could handle it on her own as she was strong, but the death of their mother had broken her spirits. No-one on camp had the right to dig their heels into someone suffering mentally. Especially when they didn't know the origin of their entire story, and why Hades was so determined to see the great fall of Olympic Gods.

With Alex not far from him, she sat at the table he had left to make the speech he was dreading. He had no idea what everyone would think about him or his choice of words, but they needed to be aired.

He now stood at the front of the room and paced gently as everyone took their place. The large doors shut, and all eyes were on him, waiting patiently to hear what he had to say.

Image "Earlier on today someone deliberately pushed her" he glanced to his sister, catching sight of Pete sitting across from her, but turned back to the room. Alex could handle herself, but just encase Pete did try anything, Duke was within decent proximity from him to react quicker than Ajax. "Have you forgotten she's my sister? she's unwell, and some of you find it funny to pick at her like she's less than you? she's not a bad person, and if I hear anyone bringing up the topic that got us in this mess in the first place, just one word, then there will be trouble. I couldn't care less if you don't like taking orders.. you will, or you can just leave the camp right now. If you think you'll survive on your own? then leave."

ALEXANDRIA VALIS
DAUGHTER OF ZEUS
Hex: #d63b71|

Image When the boy from earlier came and sat across from her, she couldn't believe he actually had the nerve to after what he said to her brother, and the way him and Sylas began to creep into her head to unhinge her more than she was already. What? so now he wanted to chit-chat and be friends? was this another little plan of theirs? was Pete working with sylas and Mason?

Even though she had no clue what this guy's intentions were, and that her trust meter was shot to hell, she still felt he wasn't as bad as the other two.

She understood why Mason hated her and wanted her dead, but what was the issue with Sylas? possibly got the wrong information, put 2 + 2 together and got 6. Or maybe he just loved to toy with others like a cat who eventually gets its cream. Would make sense considering the Godly parent he spawned from.

"Give me one good reason why I should even talk to you?" she asked Pete. , and while waiting for his reply, her attention briefly found Duke who leaned his perfectly muscled frame against the wall. Something in the room had caught his attention. "Aja..." he trailed off. Ajax hadn't heard him, and Duke decided against what he wanted to say anyway and left it at that.

Alex wanted to smile even now. Duke always had their back no matter how many rumors rooted themselves across the camp. He was never disloyal.

Ethan and Heath watched as everyone else showed up and saw a few fireworks fly. Iliana however was concentrating only on herself for she felt so many emotions at once. She felt so much anger from the blonde next to Wesley, which only increased when another blonde girl came near them. She closed her eyes and try to shut herself down. She couldn't loose control, not hear at least. The boys saw what was happening and saw what was happening with Wesley and the 2 blondes girls too. This was definitely not good. They didn't have time to do anything about it for Zeus's son spoke up talking about his sister. Seems like they were right about the two guys from earlier being the one to push Alex over the edge. Now the question was, what originally caused her to go close to the edge to begin with.

Before either boys could speak up though, there was a commotion and suddenly two gods showed up. One was definitely Zeus, but the other the guys hadn't seen before. Soon Zeus spoke and his words only made the boys even more confused. Alex was to be on trial? For what exactly? It must be grave if the gods got directly involved. Knowing his mother was here though, Heath decided to ask her directly. If he was to spectate a trial, he wanted all the clear facts and his mother was good at that without any bias. She was the Goddess of Wisdom for a reason after all. Plus he wanted to get Lia out of this building, who was now covering her ears and rocking back and forth. He was 100% sure she hadn't heard a word. It was to his relief when the one angry blonde left the building though. He had definitely heard her words to Wesley, who had looked shocked by them. He cursed and took off after the blonde who left. It wasn't long before they could hear shouting. This only caused Iliana to shake even more.

When Zeus asked for questions, several did ask, but the one that caught Heath and Ethan's attention the most was when someone came forward.

"Yeah, I have one. Is Hades going to be there? Since it was his daughter that got murdered, don't you think he has a say or at least the right to witness her trial? It seems fair to me."

Ethan looked surprised at that. A daughter of Hades was killed? That definitely wasn't good. Heath started connecting the dots though. Alex was going to be on trial and Hades's daughter had been killed. Was Alex the reason? He saw how angry she got in the stall. So who was this guy that just asked the question? Ethan wondered if the guy was a son of Hades. It would make sense since he did ask such a question.

Both boys though forgot about everything else when Iliana suddenly grabbed onto Heath's shirt sleeve. This was a signal that she had to get out now.

"Let's go now," Heath said as he helped Iliana up.

Ethan nodded as they left. When they exited the building, they saw Wesley take off. Iliana could feel every emotion he was feeling and it was seriously making her sick in the stomach. She could feel her own tears spilling out. Her own powers started churning and soon the sky open up, causing rain to fall. She herself dropped to the ground and started wailing in earnest. Heath swept her into his arms and continued to walk with Ethan right next to him.

"Uh, oh, we better do something to cheer Iliana up quick." Ethan commented.

Indeed, the last time Iliana was this emotional, she had caused a flood. Heath knew this was a result of her trying to contain her emotions and powers too much. The rain continued pouring and they and anyone else would be drenched by now.

"I've got it. Hey, Lia, can you hear me? We're going to see your mother soon. Do you want to see her?"

Hearing her mother being mention penetrated Iliana's intense emotions and she looked at her adopted brother. Taking a few deep breaths, she nodded. This causes the rain to let up dramatically, and it's now a drizzle. Iliana was emotionally drained though and she falls asleep. The boys noticed she had dropped her notepad by then.

"I'll go and get it. It's probably ruined by now though," Ethan said before rushing back to the main hall.

Ethan nodded and continued towards the coast. Minutes later, Ethan was back and indeed, Iliana's notepad was drenched. He also had the pen she carried. It was a good thing Iliana had several notepads back in their cabin. Both were certain though they could get another notepad from Demeter.

The trio finally made it to the beach where Athena was waiting for them. Like them she also was drenched, but it look liked it didn't affect her in the least. Seeing the three arrive, she wasted no time in speaking to them.

"I wondered where the sudden rain came from. It looks like Lia has had a rough time of it."

"Indeed mother, in fact, I am already questioning if coming here was the right idea." Heath stated.

He was always completely honest with his mother since he knew she would not only know if anyone were lying, but withholding information too. It was something he was trying to pick up himself.

"It is son, Lia needs to learn how to become stronger emotionally and mentally. She can't stay hidden from herself or others. I am very much aware that there are campers here who are capable of causing drama, it's in their nature, but there are just as many demigods here who will help her and you boys too."

"She's right Heath. Lia has already gotten treated nicely by that guy, Duke, and Aphrodite's son, uuuhhh, what was his name again?" Ethan stated.

"Aww, that be Wesley I think. Poor boy has been through a lot, but it's not my place to tell you so. And Duke is Hephaestus's son, I believe. Good friend of Zeus's children."

"Speaking of Zeus, ma'am, why is Alex on trial? I was just caught off guard so much that I don't fully comprehend the situation."

"You'll learn soon enough, young Ethan. I will say this though, it has something to do with what happened last year. You and the other demigods will be watching Alexandria's trial. You three will definitely have an advantage coming into this blind. Don't worry all of the facts and questions you have will be answered there. It's best to judge this as unbiased as possible to make sure this is a fair and just trial. I shall see to it. And unlike others, it'll be easier for you three since you don't have close connections to those directly involved."

"That still might be hard for Iliana, mother. She picks up emotions like a sponge after all. She could easily become biased because of her empathy.

"Give her a bit more credit then that Heath. Anyway, why don't you three go change really quick and get a new notepad and pen for Lia here. I believe Zeus was plan on giving you guys an hour to get ready."

It was then that Iliana woke up and saw Athena. Her eyes widen in surprised and she tried to get a grasp on the situation. First thing she noticed was that she was being carried by Heath and her notepad was missing. Then she tried recalling how she ended up like this. Soon all the memories came back to her. Darn it! She had done it again! Let her emotions get the better of her. She was starting to get tired of it. She looked at Athena again with confusion in her eyes.

Athena smiled at the young lady and replied, "Hello Lia. Nice to see you've recovered a bit. You brother and Ethan are about to take you back to your cabin so you three can change and also get you a new notepad and pen. Then you'll come back here and travel to Olympus with the other campers. Zeus's daughter, Alexandria, is going to be put on trial and all of you are to watch it. Don't worry, you'll have time to see your mother. I know Demeter has been eager to see you. Did you understand all of that?"

Iliana nodded and not wanting to be a physical burden anymore, tried getting out of Heath's arms. Seeing what she was attempting to do, Heath set her down and helped her steady herself.

"Let's go, Lia."

When the three made it to their cabin, they wasted no time in changing into dry clothes and getting one of Iliana's other notepads and another pen. This time, Iliana decided to put the items in a small tote bag for protection. They started heading out but soon saw a brunette standing in front someone's door. Iliana was the first to notice and it didn't take her long to feel a bit of emotion coming from that cabin. It was sadness as well as anger. Was it Wesley? She remembered him being very sad. She also wondered who the brunette was. She was very nervous, that's for sure. Curious to see if this was Wesley's cabin, she heads toward it. The boys stop though and follow her. It wasn't common for Iliana to make sudden decisions, but whenever it did, the guys just went with it.

Approaching the cabin, they saw that the brunette spotted them. Ethan was quick to speak to her.

"Hi there, sorry if we scared you. I am Ethan, this is Heath and his adopted sister, Iliana. Iliana here decided to check out this cabin it seems. Uh, Lia, did you want to tell us why?"

Iliana blushed. She quickly pulled out her notepad before writing in it and showing it to the guys.

It said, "Sorry, I think this is Wesley's cabin and I wanted to check on him. He's so sad."

The boys nodded before Ethan explained to the brunette, "Iliana can't talk so she communicates with us through her notepad here. She thinks this cabin belongs to someone she just met and wanted to see he was alright because something just happened to him to make him upset. We still don't know why yet. Do you mind if we wait here with you?"

The last question was directed at both Iliana and brunette. Iliana shook her head. It was fine if they stayed with her.

"You mean like put a bag over his head and abduct him?"

"Yeah... or you could get the arms and I could get the legs." Andy laughed softly. "Although Keith doesn't seem very threatening. I could take him," she added with a playful smirk. In honesty she didn't like the idea of having to fight her brother... or his body anyway to get him to their mother. She hoped that he'd come willingly. If not? She'd cross that bridge when they got there.

After Andy commented about testifying in the trial, Mason turned to face her. "I appreciate that and I’ve appreciated everything you’ve done for us. You probably will be called because you were one of the first to...see it and handle it all. But you don't need to testify if you don't want to. Ajax hates it when you speak against Alex, I'm used to the looks that say drop dead but not you."

Andy's expression softened at his comment as the corner of her mouth curved into a slight smile. She was beyond the point of caring if people hated her or not, it never stopped her before. But it seemed that Mason didn't like the idea of her being in the same boat as him.

"I just don't want you in another ugly situation. It'd probably be good for you to lay low for a while."

"I don't care. It wouldn't be the first time in my life I've been hated. And you wouldn't hate me." Her smile grew slightly as she playfully nudged his arm, trying to lighten the mood slightly. Mason looked so serious. But he shouldn't be worrying about her when the trial was more important. "I'll be ok," she added, incase he needed to actually hear it from her own lips.

Andy stood up as Mason did, exiting after him. The second they stepped out of the hall they were met by rain. She sighed slightly, now having no choice but to change before they head to Olympus. Olympus. For some reason that thought put her on edge. Andy walked alongside Mason in a comfortable silence as they headed for the cabins, diverting to go towards her own.

Once in her cabin, Andy stared at her closet for what was definitely longer than she ever had before. She never was much of a girly girl, so dresses were rare in her wardrobe and nothing seemed to be remotely... professional? Do you dress professional for a trial amongst Gods? She stood there vexed for too long. She waved her hand making some ridiculous fashion magazine appear in her hand that she would never read in her leisure time. Andy flipped through it making disgusted faces at half of the pictures. "There has to be something normal in here."

When she found something decent, that didn't feel completely strange for her, she set the magazine down on her bed. She closed her eyes and snapped her fingers. When she looked back toward her reflection she was in a modest dress that made her look like more of a girl than she normally did. Her brows furrowed as she looked at the clutch purse she accidentally conjured along with it that rested on the bed. Andy nearly left it, but decided to wave her hand over it casting some sort of expansion charm upon it. For some reason, the idea of going to Olympus bothered Andy and she didn't like going in there naked. She could conjure a weapon if she needed it, if her magic worked up there. So, in a last minute decision she conjured a set of throwing knives, a shield and a sword into the tiny clutch.

With a final glance over her appearance in the mirror, Andy exited her cabin and headed toward the beach. Once she was about to step into the sand, she pulled off her shoes, holding the straps hooked in her right index and middle finger. Her feet sank into the warm sand as she made her way over to Mason. Andy smiled when she caught his attention, tucking her clutch under her arm. "Well it is official, Mr. Hughson. You clean up far better than myself." She smirked slightly as she fixed his tie. A habit she acquired helping her father as a young girl.

"Oh, by the way," Andy added as she moved to stand next to him, shoulder to shoulder. She brought her clutch before him and cracked it open, just enough for him to see the contents, then closed it quickly. "Just in case."

Sloane sat there in an awkward silence as Sylas sat opposite her, never diverting his gaze. Her eyes were fixed on the surface of the table while her hands ringed themselves against the hem of her shirt. No matter how much she wanted wanted to get up and walk away, the second she'd try to do anything he would there with her... To follow her, chastise her, or just make her feel like utter and complete shit like he normally did.

She looked up when a blur of crimson hair moved itself beside her brother. Evelyn? Sloane's brows furrowed slightly as she watched the girl place her hand on Sylas's arm, suggesting for him to remain in his seat to talk with her. Sloane took the opportunity to stand up, catching a glare from her brother in the process. "I need to go change before we leave," she said. If she left without giving and explanation to Sylas, she'd never hear the end of it later.

Sloane scurried out of the main hall, instantly into a deluge of rain. Her face scrunched up as she groaned at the precipitation. Her gaze was focused on her feet as she made her way toward the tree line in the direction of the cabins, trying not to slip in mud or on a tree root. But with her attention focused on the ground, she didn't notice she was quickly closing in on the new camper who sat with Alex earlier. Sloane didn't realize him before her until she quite literally bumped into his back.

"I beg your pardon," Sloane apologized as she took a step back, brushing her wet hair from her face. She didn't know his name and he had to be new... or newer than herself and her brother. She tried to memorize everyone's names even if she had no intention of ever talking to them.

She was half tempted to leave the conversation at that and head in her own direction. Sloane had to get changed and get to the beach like the rest of the campers. But her curiosity overcame her into at least desiring to know his name if nothing else. She didn't like being in the dark about certain things. "I uh, don't think we've met. I'm Sloane Astor." Sloane tried to give at least a fraction of a smile while extending her hand toward him.

Wes had been trying to calm his breathing, his hand rubbing the back of his head as he sat on the ground. Then he heard the door to his cabin open. He instantly went from broken down to defensive, grabbing whatever was on the floor beside him, ready to throw it at the door. Wes didn't know who he expected to be at the door. As much as part of him wanted it to be Trinity, who didn't listen to him... Chased after him to apologize, he knew better. She was too damn proud and definitely too stubborn. When his gaze settled upon Liv, his eyes widened slightly and his grasp on the object loosened.

"Are you done throwing things? Can I come in?"

Wes was beyond caring what he looked like at the moment, red eyed and blotchy. "Liv? When did you get back?" He sighed, running his hand over his face as he tried to calm himself down. He then motioned his hand toward her letting her know that she could enter. With a final groan, he pushed off the ground and moved to his feet. Wes started to walk toward his kitchen to offer Liv something to drink when he noticed 3 more campers approaching. God damn it. He was usually one of the most social people at camp, never had an issue talking to anyone always nice. But it seemed the one time he blew his top, everyone congregated to him like moths to a flame.

"Hi there, sorry if we scared you. I am Ethan, this is Heath and his adopted sister, Iliana. Iliana here decided to check out this cabin it seems. Uh, Lia, did you want to tell us why?"

They must not have noticed Wes within the cabin, instead talking toward Liv who still remained in the doorway. His hand gripped the edge of the counter, his knuckles going white. He could barely see them through the crack in the door. Who was Lia? Was that Iliana? Wes sighed. Before he was contemplating being rude to the males and shooing them off. But now he had to put on his best I'm ok face.

"Iliana can't talk so she communicates with us through her notepad here. She thinks this cabin belongs to someone she just met and wanted to see he was alright because something just happened to him to make him upset. We still don't know why yet. Do you mind if we wait here with you?"

Wes walked over to the door. Standing to the side of Liv, he opened the door all the way, revealing himself... And the chaotic state his cabin was in. "Hey, Iliana... and guys?" He didn't know the other two beyond them introducing themselves to Liv. But Wes was not in the mood to place nice to new campers, not right now. He knew Liv, they might not have been best friends, but he knew her. "I am... I'll be fine." He doubted anyone believe a single word that came out of his mouth, but he wasn't in the mood to care. "Sorry, I need to get ready."

He nothing more to add, so he slowly closed the door shutting out Iliana and the two other guys with her. Wes looked over at Liv, his expression was as transparent as glass. He was angry, sad and confused, but it wasn't toward her. He motioned his hand toward the kitchen. "If you're thirsty, help yourself." Wes grabbed a near by chair, turning it upright for her before he headed down the hall toward his bedroom.

Wes opened and closed drawers a bit louder than what was normal, grabbing the first things he found that were clean and didn't have a bunch of buttons. He'd probably accidentally rip them off trying to button up a shirt in his current mood. "I'm assuming were in the main hall earlier?" He didn't see her, but generally Wes was terrible at noticing other people when he was being made to look like an idiot.

He stumbled around his room getting dressed, cursing under his breath when he got temporarily frustrated trying to tie his shoes or button his jeans. If Wes was in his right mind, he probably would have dressed nicer for the trial. After all, he could have been a character witness. But at the current moment he couldn't give two shits about Olympus or the trial, or even looking decent. He had half a mind to stay locked up in his cabin and not go. But knowing his mother, if he didn't arrive with the others, Aphrodite would come and get him in the blink of an eye.

Wes walked out of his room, pulling on a jacket. He looked to Liv with about as much enthusiasm as a corpse. "We should probably go. Do you need to stop by your cabin?" The thought briefly crossed his mind that if he arrived at the beach with another female, Trinity would be in a rage but at this point... Did he care? At the rate she was going, she was never going to trust him no matter how much he tried to prove himself to her. He knew he did nothing wrong, and he'd still be faithful to her even when she was furious with him... Regardless if she believed him or not.

Sylas felt a hand on his shoulder, glancing toward its owner as Evelyn took a seat beside him. He flashed her a smile while out of the corner of his eye he saw his sister take the opportunity to scurry out of the hall. Pathetic. “Sylas, I thought your question was surprisingly insightful.”

He couldn't help the slightly surprised and somewhat smudge expression that graced his face. He quirked a brow, turning more of his attention toward the attractive redhead. "Really now?" Sylas leaned forward in his seat, resting his elbow upon the table, his chin in his palm. She was a curious little minx, he'd give her credit for that. And if Evelyn wanted to play the part of a friendly conversation then he could play along. Although their definitions of friendly had different meanings.

“You might want to tell your future wife to be more patient and ease off the poisonous tactics in Mount Olympus.” Evelyn motioned over her shoulder motioning toward someone.

Keeping with the charade, Sylas raised his hand to brush back a strand of ruby hair behind Evelyn's ear, leaning in a bit closer to her. He used the shift in movement to get a glance at the girl she motioned towards without blatantly staring. After all, it was rude to stare. He had a good idea who the girl was, although he hadn't personally met her yet. Was she already causing so much trouble to warrant being called his future wife? Interesting. "I didn't realize I had a suitor so soon. And when did I request your services, match maker?" He smirked toward his current company.

“I know you're not an angel yourself nor run a 'being evil 101' course. It's just an idea.”

"Damn, I must have forgotten my 'Evil Orientation guide' name tag in my cabin. I do apologize," he mused. His calm demeanor nor smirk unwavering.

“Let's say she dies, where does your source of entertainment go? And say she gets sent back to camp, she'll probably do some serious snooping, including on you. She could potentially poison the water or food and even you have to eat.”

Well Sylas was impressed. Evelyn has some tenacity coming to him, of all people, to try and tame this new nuisance. "I'm almost flattered by your concern about my well-being... Almost." She played a good game, talked a good talk too. Part of him could even admit he finds it attractive, such a worthy opponent. "You underestimate me, my dear." He lowered his voice to barely above a whisper, holding her gaze intently. "To think that one daughter of Hera would make me fret?"

“Besides,” Evelyn said as she leaned closer to him. Sylas couldn't but quirk his brow, running the tip of his thumb along his bottom lip as she spoke in his ear. “I don't think a son of Eris needs help to create chaos.”

Before Evelyn could withdraw, Sylas somehow managed to close the distance more. His fingertips brushed her hair from the nape of her neck, gently cupping its curve with his hand. His breath could be felt on her ear as he whispered. "You play a good game. I am impressed." His fingertips brushed the soft skin on the back of her neck as he continued. "But if you think sweet words and reverse psychology will get me to tame the trouble makers... I shall have to disappoint you. I am no one's puppet." Sylas slowly withdraws from Evelyn, hold her gaze as he returned to his casual position.

Sylas sat there calmly as Evelyn took his hand as she stood, as if she needed the balance. She didn't, but he appreciated the act. It was exceptional. Before she released his hand, Sylas brought it to his lips, giving it a kiss like any good gentleman would. “Thank you for your time. I'll see you at the trial.”

"Oh, you will," he concluded with a nod, watching her as she went to leave. Sylas couldn't help but watch a little longer than he should when she was stopped by Ajax. No doubt the prodigal brother was needing aid in a way to fix the trial. How upsetting. Couldn't people let the judicial system do what they do best... After all the camp would, no doubt, be better and safer without a temperamental murderer running around.

Sylas took the opportunity to slip out of the main hall while everyone else was already making their way to their cabins, the beach, or preoccupied with who knows what. As he made his way to his cabin, he couldn't help but think back on the conversation he had with Evelyn. But what really made him curious is how she thought she could manipulate him into doing her bidding. Did he care about taming the Hera children? No. But since the daughter was causing so much trouble... He couldn't help but feed that curiosity by talking to her at some point. What harm could it do?

It didn't take him long to slip into his cabin and change. Since Zeus said nothing of the sort about dressing formally, Sylas decided to dress well but nothing with a tie or over the top. He highly doubted he'd even be part of the trial beyond potentially raising his hand to give his vote. He ran a hand back through his hair, checking his appearance once more in the mirror before heading off to the beach.

There she was, standing at the entryway with the door cracked ajar and her dark eyes peering in, watching him stare up at her in the midst of his red-eyed confusion. There is something endearing about him in this state, even if he thought he looked like shit. It is quiet, even as he inquired into her return, "Liv? When did you get back?". It didn't seem, at first, that she picked up on his voice because the normally amiable man's demeanor had gone from jovial to chaos, and it's disheartening. When her gaze flees from him to survey the condition of the interior, a noticeable wince crinkled her pallid features. Yet, she smiles at him, albeit the expression stretching weak and thin across her lips in a display of sympathy without the nagging needless words to follow, "Just earlier this afternoon, actually," she answers finally.

Just as she thought she'd get a foot in through the door after pushing it open a little more, three others approach them. Ethan's voice causes her to jump in a small startle, "Hi there, sorry if we scared you. I am Ethan, this is Heath and his adopted sister, Iliana. Iliana here decided to check out this cabin it seems. Uh, Lia, did you want to tell us why?". Turning swiftly, her eyes flit from Ethan to Iliana to Heath before she can feel Wes creeping up behind her.

At that moment, she takes a couple of steps back since he had completely opened the door. The act of him being so close to her was pure torture, and it wasn't his fault. It couldn't be helped that all the gals were head over heels for the man. He exudes a strong sense of attraction that is hard to deny, but it only takes the angry voice of a certain Ares daughter to crash through her skull as a firm reminder that-- yes, she could be friend with Wes without jumping on him. It was better for her health that way, honestly. Still, his presence looming over her causes her to freeze slightly, and it's likely noticeable to others. It's not until he shuts the door on the three that she feels the fear drop from the pit of her stomach to her feet. They felt like boulders tied to heavy chains as she drags herself slowly to the kitchen area.

Did he just shut her in his cabin with three other people as witness to it?

"If you're thirsty, help yourself, he'd inform her, and she waves a hand through the air to decline while seating herself. Was it hot in here, too? She brought her fingers up to the sides of her face, and in all of its pallor, it's flushed. He must like it at a certain temperature! That is certainly it. She gives her head a shake or two, clearing her throat and trying to picture Trinity choking her to death or something. Yes, yes-- that was it. His room is finally reaching a steady degree that is bearable and no longer making her as red as the poor guy's eyes.

"I'm assuming were in the main hall earlier?"

"Yes, and you probably don't want to talk about it, so I won't make you. I was just on my way to my own cabin when I heard the raucous. I just wanted to make sure you weren't going to get hurt, and also to drag you to the beach regardless of whether you want to or not." That's when his next words come, "We should probably go. Do you need to stop by your cabin?"

"I do need to go to my cabin, actually. I already have a dress laying out, so it will be quick," she replies, sliding off of the chair and venturing on out of his living space with him in tow, but at a safe platonic distance. They'd endure a short but quiet walk, which is always nice. Liv may not have much to offer him in the way of advice or kind words, but she could walk with him and let him know in a quiet sort of way that she is right here if he needs it. They weren't best friend, or even good friends-- it didn't matter to her.

For his good, and her own, she'd make him wait outside of her cabin. Fifteen minutes tick by before she emerges from behind the door, trying to pull it close with the toe of a black pump while adjusting the blue collar of an impossibly cute dress. She thought it was casual enough! The bright attire seemed to ignite those lackluster waves of brown into a spirited auburn hue, and when she'd done fiddling around with her collar, she looks up at him with eyes that had a flicker of green now. Maybe her attire does judge the mood of her eyes and hair after all! It could also be that she's excited to be headed to the beach. Naturally.

She doesn't wait for him to look at her, or notice even if he does. She's well on her way toward the beach; breathing in the crisp saline breeze as they draw closer. This becomes another trip paced casually and quietly, her hands with fingers interlaced at the lap of her patterned dress and a respectable distance just in case his love interest was down there waiting.

When she does speak, it is really out of place because no one around her spoke to her about anything in the realm of her next sentence, "Oh, I am glad to be back!" There's a smile on her features, and she looks at peace when her heels first sink into hot sand-- brighter, more confident. Something scuttles out of the sand; a small crab. The question would not be to whom, but to what did she speak to. When she realizes that she probably looks crazy, she kicks sand at the hard-shelled creature as if to hide it and pretend it wasn't there.

Talking to herself is less crazy than to a crab. Right? Right. Crisis averted, she thinks to herself.

... Probably not. Wes is upset, not stupid.
