Are my vines bothering you?
Dryad is rather optimistic and always try's to be kind and happy. She often looks on the bright side, but is down to earth when it comes to serious matters. She enjoys laughter and freedom but hasn't had either her entire life. She is rather curious. She is also very thoughtful and sweet. At times it may seem like Dryad would simply lay down and die but when it come down to it when someone dares to threaten or hurt her friends she can become extremely scary unlocking an almost alternate personality that will easily and gladly use her abilities to kill a human or monster. Dryad is fairly gentle and sensitive but when she is hurt or insulted she simply let's people do it having grown use to insults and pain when people do hurt her she simply closes herself off and becomes nothing more then a quiet statue sitting and waiting for it to pass.
Dryad never really had a life before the circus. Growing up all she remembers is the circus and being in a cage wondering what and why these strange creatures were staring at her. As she grew up many thing brought people to come see her. Some came cause they believed she might be some Druid or a true forest spirit that could fix everything. Others came to mock her for being different. Some came to rip off parts of her body in order to study them. Others came because she was different. She never understood why she was different and growing up she simply thought people must love her. But as time went on and people still came she began understanding that she was different. Suddenly she noticed how they laughed she noticed how some people threw stuff at her, mocked her, insulted her. When she asked her parent figure the Ringmaster about it he simply said "It's because your a little freak, and you must be stupid to not understand that on your own." After that day she finally understood what she was. She was no more then a tool for entertainment. She began trying to be nice to people but each time she spoke they simply mocked her or threw something at her. As time went on she stopped trying to be nice and became quiet. She would sit on the bed of her cage letting people stare at her and laugh. She began teaching herself to read and when people saw they told her she did not deserve too and once again threw stuff at her this is when she learned she had a defensive mode. Most day's now in the present she simply sits and reads letting people throw stuff at her not feeling it because it only hits her bark.
