Sum it all up: Grey was born Greyson Alexander Walker on the Nineteenth of March to Elizabeth and Carter Walker, an upper class couple who had tried for years to have a child, resulting in their one son - him. Carter was the CEO of as large business that he had created himself, selling computer software to rival Apple and Microsoft. With no brothers and sisters, Grey was the apple of his parent's eyes, being treated to whatever he wanted, being taken out all of the time on family trips. It seemed like a perfect family, a father, mother and son, going out together all of the time, bright smiles on their faces, laughter coming out of their mouths. But, that was only a facade - a ploy put on by his father to to the public, to cover up what happened at home, behind the closed, ornately decorated doors.
Everything wasn't so peachy as it seemed, when the doors were closed on the Walker family. Whilst his father seemed liked the perfect dad outside of the home, inside, he was the complete opposite. Carter was a heavy drinker, and every night, when he came home, he would down an entire bottle of whiskey. Once the male was sufficiently drunk, he would move towards his family, stalking at a slow, wobbly pace. But, instead of hitting his wife and child like a normal abusive drunk, Carter would send his wife away, into the kitchen to start dinner. Once the woman had left, it was just the father and son, situated in the lounge together. Grey was only three years old when his abuse first started, when his father began touching him in places that he felt uncomfortable letting him touch. Every night for almost ten years, the same thing would happen - Carter would come in, drink, and then sexually abuse his young son, the child's screams resounding around the house. When Grey tried to cry on his mother, to ask her why she didn't ever try to stop Daddy from hurting him, all she would do was shake her head, and turn away. He rarely went out, if only to go to school and back, and didn't have any friends to talk to. If anything, the young boy soon started to believe that what his father did to him was natural, that it happened to everyone.
The young boy knew nothing of a healthy childhood, but everything started to change when he started school. The first girl he met was a girl named Cleo, a girl who became his very best friend to this day. Cleo was the first person that Grey told about his father's abuse, and she was the one who encouraged him to tell a teacher, to get everything changed for him. Grey instantly felt comfortable around her, more comfortable than he had ever felt around anyone before, and so, he believed her. He told his teachers about the things that his father did to him when he was drunk, and the look of horror on their faces instantly made him see that his father had been wrong to touch him. That night, police arrived at his house, whilst his father was in the middle of his abuse, and his father was taken away, arrested on countless charges of child molestation. His mother was also apprehended, but was soon released, as they realized that she had been a victim too, but on a different level. His father was soon charged in court, and was sentenced to twenty years in prison.
Grey would never be a normal child, however. His childhood had been stolen from him by a sick man, and no amount of time with the most expensive counselors was going to change that. Grey spent most of his time hanging around outside with Cleo, drinking, and smoking, trying to forget everything that had happened to him. Over time, he grew to care more and more about Cleo, the two of them experiencing many moments where they almost fell into bed together, but Grey was always the one to pull away - not wanting to ruin the only friendship that he had. He tried his best throughout school, although, grades never interested him much. He was quite smart, but never put the effort in to achieve anything. To distract himself, Grey became fascinated with women - anything to do with the feminine form incited him. It took his mind away from Cleo, away from his past, away from his mother and her new boyfriend. As long as the woman was willing, he would take them anywhere - her home, an alleyway, a car, park, anywhere, but his own home.
At the age of nineteen, Grey took an angry Cleo into his home, keeping her up in his bedroom, hiding her from his mother. His mother and "Dave" had always disapproved of his relationship with her, seeing her as the person that turned him to his promiscuous ways, his smoking, and his drinking, but they were obviously completely wrong. Cleo was his best friend, his only friend, the girl that he cared for more than he wanted to. They both slept in his double bed, usually curling up together to fall asleep. Grey would occasionally stay awake for a while once she had fallen asleep, just to watch her in her most peaceful state. However, days after his twentieth birthday, his mother walked in on the two of them. She saw all of Cleo's clothes in his wardrobe, her make-up on his side, and she instantly kicked both of them out. She wasn't putting up with any more of her son's crap, and his lies.
That was when the two of them came up with the idea to run away. To leave with their friends, scare the hell out of their parents, and to have some fun.
