Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

When the mightiest dragon falls, leaving behind only an egg, the world begins a hunt for the next power hungry beast: Saturn

888 readers have visited Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg since Arekk created it.

Introduction

The stars and planets that scatter the empty vast of space hold secrets we humans cannot begin to fathom. One, however, holds the power to topple an empire and crush a world. On the rings of Saturn, hurdling down to our planet of Dergon, is an egg. A dragon's egg to be exact; something sought after for centuries. Because a dragon's egg is near impossible to come by. The beasts hatch within days, giving any and all chasers not a chance to find it. This has caused a miraculous jump in the Dragon population. What once was a rare species has now engulfed the world, bringing with it a new breed of man. The Dragons range in size and strengths, each possessing its own unique abilities. However, there has always been one Dragon that holds the ultimate power. One beast that can destroy anything in it's path. A Solar Dragon. And while most dismiss the idea as a myth, the Solar Dragon does in fact exist.

Coming to Dergon every thousand years, it slumbers in a light blue, almost snow white egg. Unlike your typical Dragon, a Solar breed will stay within the compounds of its shell for months, up to a full year even, before hatching. The reason for this? A solar Dragon will not and cannot do anything without an owner. The hatchling must see a human face, or else it will perish. Thus begins the hunt for the Solar Dragon. Every man, woman, and child on Dergon will partake in this journey. Some will use the Dragon's power for good. Others may just want the creature as a companion. But there are those who wish nothing but the worst for Dergon. Men with a hatred for this world, their hearts full of greed and lust. They will seek the Solar Egg, hoping to gain their darkest wishes granted..

Image

Now, we move our story to the planet of Dergon. A home to countless dragons who live alongside man. They are friends, allies, companions, and warriors alike. But like any species, there are certain Dragons who do not wish to coexist with the humans. Wanting to rule the world for their own brethren, these beasts hunt night and day for human blood. They feast on the corpses they collect, giving the Dragon race a downward reputation. Most believe the beasts to be cruel and vile monsters, only wanting fresh meat. Luckily, there are humans who see the difference between the Dragons. Tamers and Riders, who roam Dergon in search of truths. The Tamer, a rather odd position to hold, is more widely appreciated. A Dragon Tamer is one who has acquired a Dragon as his ally and friend. However, the Dragon may come and go as it pleases, merely using the Tamer as a source of hospitality. The Tamer, in return, earns a hearty reputation within both species and learns the secrets of the Dragons. Their speech, writing, habits, etc. become opened to a Tamer. He is more of a scholar than a born fighter. But a Tamer can use his or her Dragon companion as their weapon. For a Tamer's Dragon will gladly lay its life on the line for the human.

Then, there are the Riders. Humans who have made pacts with Dragons. After such a bond is made, the Dragon will allow the human to ride upon it and fight alongside it, thus earning the title "Rider." A Dragon rider hunts the foul creatures who wish to rid the world of humans. Other Dragons see no reason in this terrible act, and usually leave the "Turned Ones" as they're called, to Riders and Hunters. There are those few Dragons who wish to see the Turned Ones dissapear, and devote their lives to a Rider and his cause. The Riders are skilled with a weapon, as well as magic. However, relying on both can have dangerous effects. Riders now usually focus on one main aspect for battle; magic or weaponry.

Finally, there is the Hunter. Hated and loved by everyone, the Hunters loathe any and all Dragons. What they hate even more are the humans who have paired with Dragons. Hunters kill the beasts for fame and glory, as there are always bountiful rewards for the death of a Dragon. The creature's scales, its teeth, horns, even the meat is considered precious. They hunt for Dragons, killing any they find, regardless of its standing point with the humans. A Hunter is gifted with both magic and weaponry, able to juggle between the two rather easily. They hold no mercy for any man or woman who side with their prey, and will kill anyone who opposes them. Some say they are worse than the Turned Ones.

Now, after a thousand years, the current Solar Dragon has fallen, as all beings will one day do. Which means, a Solar egg has entered Dergon. News of this has swept through the world, bringing with it the search for the greatest treasure of all. The Dragons have predicted the next Solar egg will be coming from Saturn, and have thus named the Dragon Saturn. Within the Dragon community lies a small group of the eldest Dragons to live. While most roam the world for a few centuries, these Dragons have lived for thousands of years. They have seen several Solar Dragons come and go, and have kept order within the species. However, their power is dwindling, causing the Turned Ones to find a chance to take a stand. Now, as Saturn crashes into Dergon, they can only sit back and hope the world isn't thrown into an apocalypse..

Darian stood on the shores of Dergon lake. Hallsva rested right behind the rider as he glared out at the soft rolling waves. His most trustworthy companion, Eliot, stood next to him, both remaining silent for minutes on end. You know this is insane. The dragon spoke in a dull tone, his body shifting to a more comfortable position. "Some might say insanity is needed for success." Eliot gave Darian an unsatisfied snort, which caused a smirk to stretch across the rider's face. "Don't worry so much. It's just an egg. How hard could it be to track down?" A sudden shift in the wind created a slight chill that ran down Darian's spine. Something suddenly felt off. As if the entire world was feeling the same. Every capable person is out for this thing. Is it really worth finding? The dragon finally tilted his head, gazing down to the man next to him. "...To be frank, I don't know.."

Within Selk City, the people were bustling with excitement. Noises of all sorts filled the air, drowning out the silence of the early morning. Stationed in the center plaza stood a rather pampered individual. Dressed in some of the finest clothing money could buy, he glanced out into the gathering crowd with little interest. Such worthless followers he had. A number of thoughts ran through his mind while the crowd grew in number. How he wanted to change his life for the better. Maybe he'd make himself a king. Duke was such a low class title nowadays. There were dozens of them scattered around, each more foolish then the last. "Attention!" He bellowed, calming the hoard before him. "Attention my subjects! I have a very important announcement! As you all know, the solar egg has finally landed!" He paused for a moment, allowing his subjects to applaud and cheer. "However!" Another pause hushed his on lookers. "However.. The whereabouts of its location are unknown. Which is why I am proposing a challenge! Whoever can find the solar egg, and bring it to me will be rewarded handsomely!" A second round of applause erupted, bringing a greedy smile to the Duke's face. It was all too easy. Make them do all the hard work, while he sits back and waits for his prize. Of course he'd reward whoever found the egg. He wouldn't need his position once his wish was granted. "Now hurry! Rumor has it the Dragons have already started their search! Beat those vermin to it!"

(Just an Fyi. The Duke isn't a main villain. He's just a greedy moron looking for a quick score. There's gonna be a few of them, and if anyone wants to create their own greedy NPC with little intelligence, be my guest. Just remember that the NPC will be in the story for a short while, and is not a main bad guy. So don't overdue things.)

Mira Tostanya stood at the back of the crowd curious to hear what was being said but not desperate enough to push her way to the front. The crowd was big even for somewhere like Selk City and it was clear there was going to be some kind of announcement. Mira could see a man standing atop a block who looked far too finely dressed to be out and about in this part of the city. That he was a duke was obvious given what he wore and how many guards stood around him. He bellowed the crowds to silence and began to speak, Mira was hardly surprised when she realised it was about the solar egg. After all it was THE major event ever to happen at least in most peoples living memory.

She scowled as he continued not liking what he had to say one bit, and by the end of his speech she was scowling fiercely. She turned on her heel and began walking away the wind flapping the back of her brown cloak. When the wind caught the cloak you could a hint of sword hilts beneath it and a figure clad in leathers. Mira stalked through the city heading for the North gate wanting to get away from there as soon as possible. The guards allowed her to leave with barely a glance and no doubt they were expecting more to leave the city after the duke's announcement. In fact there was likely to be droves of people scouring the land all searching for the prize.

As she stalked through the green fields outside the city she felt the presence of Rathan nearby and moments later he landed in the grass ahead of her, his claws raking the dirt beneath him. Steam came from his nostrils as he breathed and his wings arched as though stretching before settling themselves on either side of his body. He regarded her approach with one dark eye and if a dragon could look wary this one certainly did. Mira and Rathan had been together a long time and he knew enough of her moods to recognise the foul one she was in then.
Trouble? His mind voice was deep and rumbling.
When isn't there? Mira snapped.

She pulled herself into the saddle on his back and with huge beats of his wings Rathan bore them skyward, as they climbed Mira began to calm. Being above the land always seemed to have that effect on her. Once she was calmer she told Rathan about the dukes announcement and Rathan snorted.
So much for this being easy. He sighed.

Outside of Selk sprawled a massive forest. Although well-known and easily seen, it still seemed mildly ominous as it stretched for leagues in every direction, the broad leaves and dark trunks serving to hide any creature feeling the need for secrecy.

Ori'kumarok was one such creature.

He walked across the forest floor, the dappled sunlight only affording him better camouflage as he prowled. He could sense the minds of another dragon and it's rider, high above him, but even as he peeked his head up through the canopy he felt a tug at his mind as his curiosity overcame his instinct to stay hidden. He crawled up into the topmost reaches of the trees as best he could and flared his wings, pausing only for a moment before pushing away and climbing swiftly towards the two above him.

Although he wasn't keen on talking to humankind, Oriko was one to keep in contact with those of his own species if he could. As he rose up from beneath the much larger, red dragon, He bugled softly in greeting.

Hail, Skyflyer!

"...Beat those vermin to it!" the Duke finished his speech. The crowd roared and began to surge in all directions.

'Vermin! Excuse me!?' the large black dragon crouching on top of a few tall buildings near the man reared his head after the man finished speaking.

'Pay him no mind Alatheus. you know just from those words that he's not worth it.' replied the man riding riding on the back of the dragon. With the sun shining right behind him, he surely would have presented quite the impressive figure, were he able to be seen. The last time Drogyn and Alatheus were apart, bad things happened, so they had decided to stick together when they went into town. Only doing so because they had heard that an announcement concerning Saturn was being made. However, though the people of Dergon, humans and dragons alike, generally had good opinions of the pair, a dragon walking right into a human town would create some problems. So Drogyn used his magic to conceal the two of them from sight, though they wouldn't have even bothered had they known what the announcement was really going to be like.

'Yeah yeah, sure, but it still PISSES ME OFF!' Alatheus barely managed to restrain a massive roar of indignant anger. Though he let one out in his mind, causing Drogyn to groan as he massaged his now pounding head.

Drogyn sighed at the rampant enthusiasm his brother showed. 'You're giving me a migraine.' he had been thinking it over, and it didn't make sense to make such a large declaration. After all, not only are you drawing attention to yourself by publicly declaring that you're trying to become the most powerful man in the world, but you're trying to bribe people who are also being given that chance now that you've sent them out. It made so much more sense to simply send out a group of loyal people in secret to search for the egg. What was the royal doing? Was he just stupid? 'No, I can't afford to underestimate this man, not when I don't know what he's capable of, hmm...'

'Maybe you're just overthinking it, maybe he's just an idiot. He sounds like one!' Alatheus thought with a snort, which drew the attention of some people on the ground. Looking over at Drogyn, Alatheus was about to ask if they should go now. He froze when he saw his brother. His skin pale as a sheet, breathing raggedly and covered in sweat. Alatheus didn't hesitate to ask at that point, he launched himself into the air as quickly and quietly as he could, of course, he was a dragon though, so he ended up breaking parts of the roof and making a lot of noise. Soon a small crowd gathered around to see what happened, but other than a sudden appearing and disappearing strong wind, there appeared to be nothing there. 'You stupid idiot' Alatheus roared out loud as he leveled out far above the city, heading out of it. 'Why didn't you say something sooner, you know what using magic does to you don't you? So why didn't you wait to talk until after we didn't need to be invisible anymore?! I swear, you're so stupid, you could've died idiot!' during this long tirade about Drogyn's stupidity, he slowly recovered after releasing the magic he'd casted.

'Well actually, I was going to have you try and read his mind, to see if you could find something about his plans, but you know, whatever. It's not like he just became a dangerous person we have to watch out for! We need to know what he's planning, and we can't just interrogate him. Having another royal family hate our guts might be a bit annoying, don't you think?' Drogyn may have sounded angry, but he was really just frustrated with himself for having been so weak.

'Oh...well, you know I'm not really that good at mind stuff like that. Though I could have given it a try, but I don't think it would've worked.' Alatheus said in a matter-of-fact tone. All anger instantly gone from his 'voice'. 'But the last time we made a royal family mad at us was pretty fun don't you think? Oh, remember when- oh, uh, nevermind, that's a story for another time. Right now I think I should say that we might have trouble. Alatheus finished worriedly. Drogyn turned to him with a questioning look on his face. He had been looking down, trying to see where the duke had went, though he wasn't having much luck. With how quickly the man had disappeared, it seemed like he might not have been an idiot after all. When he heard his brother suddenly sound serious though, he gave him all his attention.

'What is it?' quick and to the point, if something was happening, he wanted to get there now, and so he started to look around, hoping to see the problem before Alatheus would have to tell him about it. Feeling a nudging in his mind, he turned his head in a certain direction, and looked a bit downwards. Then he saw a green dragon starting to crawl out of a nearby forest and fly towards a large red dragon with a rider. Drogyn's eyes narrowed. He may not have known the entire situation, but it was better to be safe than sorry. Alatheus understood his brother's thoughts and wheeled around to start towards the other dragons. If the green dragon was an attacker, they'd make sure he got a bit more than he bargained for.

Mira was just trying to decide where to head first when she felt Rathan tense beneath her and she looked around sharply, he did not react like that unless...there! she spotted a green dragon smaller then Rathan approaching from below. She tensed ensuring her hands were free to get to her bow she stayed still waiting. In this she was very much an observer as she relied on Rathan to let her know if this one was friend or foe. You never could tell with dragons and Mira had learned the hard way not to interfere until Rathan asked her to. Her soul mate was proud and stubborn but she knew that if he really was in danger he would ask for help.

It was then that she noticed another dragon approaching from the direction of the city and this one bore a rider, the large black dragon flew towards them its wings carrying it effortlessly through the sky. Mira was pretty sure that Rathan could deal with the smaller green dragon without too much trouble but this black dragon was of a size with Rathan. And the two dragons together against Rathan would cause a problem, Mira tensed further not liking the odds at all. She wondered if they like her were searching for the egg and had decided to eliminate some competition. Well they would not go down easily, deciding she could not sit idly by, Mira drew her bow and held it steadily aimed at the black dragon approaching. She was just deciding whether or not to shoot when she felt reassurance from Rathan almost like a caress but in her mind.

"Easy Mira Rathan rumbled. "The green one has announced himself and I believe the black is not here to threaten us either
"If you say so." Mira sighed and lowered the bow.

Rathan turned his head to the green one first. "Greetings forest one, I am Rathan what do you want with me?"
Before the green dragon could answer he directed his next words to the black and its rider. "Hail dark one, it is rare for so many of us to meet at one time. I will ask you the same as I asked the Forest one, What do you want with me?"

Ori'kumarok stilled his wings, gliding to a warm thermal to rise and stay level with the red dragon and, as he now noticed, a black as well. Although he'd only meant to come from his hiding place among the dappled leaves, he could not help but feel incredibly defensive as the two dragons, and their riders no less, began to act as though he were no more than a dragon who simply wanted death and slaughter. He shifted slightly, the sunlight glancing off the green scales upon his back, as well as the brown of his underside.

I only rose from the forests to see what might be traveling above, if you must know. Though, in my own interests, I must ask what you, Rathan, are doing above the forest I currently call home? He kept his voice calm, but he still couldn't think as well as he normally might. The black dragon truly was keeping his one his toes, or on his wingtips as the situation were. He smoothly dropped off the thermal and, to give himself something to do, began to fly circles around the pair, watching the approaching rider and dragon as best he could.

As he circled, the amber beads strung about his neck would glint in the sunlight, sending the rarest of orange flecks across his scales. Also about his neck, rear ankles, and tail trailed heavy black-iron chains, clinking slightly as he shifted in the cool morning air. He took a moment to stare at Mira, doing his best to gauge how strong she might be, but when he saw her bow he simply grumbled and flew on.

When Drogyn saw the female rider string a bow, he reached back to grab a hold of Eden's handle. At this distance, he could probably block an arrow without resorting to magic. Assuming that the arrow was even meant for him. When he saw the woman relax the bow however, he slowly let his hand drift away from Eden. He couldn't truly blame her, he'd have the exact same reaction. Then he felt Alatheus tense beneath him.

'There are manacles on the green one...' Alatheus said to Drogyn. At this point Drogyn brought one of his hands down to Alatheus' scales, trying to comfort him.

"It's all right, calm down before we get in trouble." though his words may have been harsh, they were delivered with a gentle tone. Drogyn understood his brother's anger, Hunters were as disgusting to him as the Fallen Ones were. Although it was slightly unfair to simply assume that Hunters were the cause, speaking honestly, there were few other possibilities. Drogyn then raised his head to address the others. It was then that the red dragon addressed them instead. After hearing the green one's reply, Drogyn suddenly felt very annoyed.

"Hmm, how embarrassing." Drogyn quietly said, massaging his temples as he felt his headache was about to get a lot worse.

'Greetings Skyflyers! My brother and I offer our apologies. We saw the green one rising from the forest below, and not knowing his intentions, we flew over in case things became violent.' Alatheus announced to the others, managing to be surprisingly well-mannered. Meanwhile, Drogyn was trying his hardest to ignore the green dragon that was now circling them. But he could feel his paranoia urging him to keep a closer watch on the dragon. He disliked the idea that the dragon could attack from a blindspot while circling them if they weren't careful enough. The urge to reach for Eden's handle was almost overpowering, but he gripped his legs harder resisting it, determined to not escalate this already precarious situation to violence.

"It truly was mostly my own paranoia that caused this. I apologize." Drogyn said, bowing his head, despite the warning signals from making his field of vision so much smaller. He could feel his honor taking blow after blow from his repeated distrust, but he was too careful a person to allow anything else. He then raised his head to continue, "My name is Drogyn, and my brother's Alatheus. It is an honor to meet not only two mighty dragons, but a rider as well." a tiny bit of flattery would probably be useful in a situation like this. Plus, Drogyn was the one who really started this possibly problematic situation, so he felt slightly indebted to these people. Slightly.

Mira looked closer at the rider as they grew closer and smiled briefly in welcome, she could not blame his paranoia as she herself had enough of it to go around. She reflected on how lucky they had been that each of the newcomers had not taken her raised bow as a sign of attack and she silently cursed her own impetuousness. Driven on by her own sense of fairness she nodded to Drogyn.

"I disagree, each of us perhaps wrongly interpreted the situation and so each of us are to blame. Besides a little paranoia is healthy in such troubles times do you not agree?"

Whilst she conversed with the rider Rathan concentrated on the dragons, Mira felt his chagrin at assuming he was the one to have been intruded upon. It had never occurred to him that he could be trespassing on another's territory. It was so unlike Rathan to be so embarrassed and Mira bit back a chuckle at his slightly embarrassed expression. He felt her humour and snorted in annoyance although it was only feigned, they teased each other mercilessly yet it was with affection and never malice.

"Forgive me Forest one, I meant no disrespect. I am simply unused to others approaching out of curiosity." Rathan's mouth opened in a snarl when his eyes rested on the green ones manacles.
"I would gladly tear apart whoever did that to you!His voice was angry yet the anger was not directed at the green dragon but at those who would have dared harm one of his brethren. Although they had only just met Rathan was fiercely loyal of his own kind and would protect any from such perils as hunters.

"Your reaction was completely warranted in my eyes, so on that matter we can perhaps agree to disagree. On the other matter, paranoia in these times is almost as necessary for life as water, I won't refute that. Though perhaps the times wouldn't be as troubled if everyone could learn to let go of their paranoia." Drogyn answered the woman, raising a hand to rub his chin as he had a habit to do when deep in thought. His eyes widened as he seemed to remember something. "Ah yes, I was wondering if I could have the pleasure of learning your names. I'd hate to be rude by saying something like 'Hey you'." he finished with a grimace.

It was then that the large red dragon snarled at the manacles on the green dragon.

"Hunters!" 'Hunters!' Drogyn and Alatheus said simultaneously with an identical snarl. Alatheus reared his head towards the heavens and let out an earth-shattering roar of anger. At the same time, Drogyn's eyes started to burn with an eldritch glow from his anger. Drogyn raised a hand to his face before he started shaking his head as though to clear his mind. "Just calm down Alatheus, getting angry at the past only wastes energy. That, and your anger is making me even angrier." Alatheus simply snarled at his brother.

'Ignoring the effects of the past only makes it sure to repeat!'

"Yet living in it means it'll never disappear. There's a time and a place for anger at what those trash have done, a meeting between strangers isn't one of them. Besides, we saw the manacles as we flew in, so why be so angry now."

'W-well...he got angry, and so that reminded me, and then I started to get...' he trailed off at the deadpan look Drogyn was giving him. Then he huffed and turned away. 'Also, something's been bothering me, are those fea-'

"Don't be rude...and what a drastic topic switch, weirdo."

'...hmph. Yeah well you're the idiot.'

"Excuse me!" and so a fierce bout of sibling arguing began. Suffice to say, it was very childish.

The green and brown dragon stilled his wings and glided, continuing to circle them, more out of a want not to flap than to attack them. He suspected that if he made any aggressive motions he'd be out of the sky within seconds, either from magic or arrows. He yawned slightly as his kin became mildly enraged, even smiling slightly. He swished his tail up and to the side, the wide fan of feathers steering him downward.

Do not worry, my kin. The humans responsible met their ends in my jaws and flames years past. He yowled slightly, but as he flew it was obvious that the manacles and chains caused him no pain. In fact, he actually looked comfortable with them where they were. He rolled over and flapped higher, drawing level with them once more, this time hovering beside them instead of circling. Even if they did take my mate to the grave with them. Torture may not do much over a short time, but over years it becomes lethal, even to us.

He looked from rider to rider, backing away slightly from Drogyn and Alatheus as they suddenly released their fury.

Evangeline Starling looked out from the roof of the small wooden shack where she lived. The sun shined brightly and Evangeline smiled. She flicked her hair and leapt down from her seat. She stood and leapt off the roof. "Firesong!" she shouted.
Firesong growled and walked up to her, clearly annoyed about being woken up. What do you want, Ange? she growled.
"I want to go for a ride. We can go look for the Solar Egg." Evangeline smiled.
Hmmf. The chances of finding the egg are one in a million. Everyone is out looking for it. Firesong said.
Evangeline shrugged. "So was the chance I'd survive fighting you."
Firesong sighed. How come I get the rash Rider.
"Because you got lucky." Evangeline winked, as she ran up and climbed onto Firesong's back. "Let's go to the forest!"
Firesong leapt into the air, and glided off, heading towards the forest.

A while later, Firesong landed and Evangeline climbed off. She drew her sword. "Be careful," she warned. "Wild Dragons live out here."
I was a wild dragon.
"You were a wild egg." Evangeline corrected. She didn't have to look to know that Firesong was annoyed. "Does it help if I say you were difficult to move?"
No, not really.
"Alright."
Evangeline walked on, Firesong following her. Whereas Evangeline slipped through branches nimbly, Firesong just destroyed them.
"Could you try to keep the destroying to a minimum?" Evangeline said as another branch fell.
Nope.
"Fine." Evangeline mumbled.

Mira soothed Rathan absently with one hand whilst she listened to the green dragon. He had clearly dealt with what had happened to him and moved on. Mira respected him for that as well as his ability to retain his good nature even after what he had suffered. She doubted Rathan would have done the same in his position, she knew her dragon well and knew he would have become angry and bitter.

She was distracted from her thoughts by hearing what appeared to be squabbling from the black dragon and his rider. She smiled and bit back a laugh at their behaviour. Rathan was not so restrained and his roar of laughter filled the sky. Mira waited until they had finished their argument before speaking.
"I am Mira and this moody one is Rathan." she said ignoring her dragons grumble at being called moody.
"If I may ask, what brings you to this area near the green ones home." she asked, nodding respectfully to the green dragon.

Evangeline froze. "I hear talking." She whispered, and crouched down silently. Firesong crouched down to, trying to be silent. Evangeline rolled her eyes, and peered through the bush, watching the two riders. At least, she hoped they were riders. They were with some dragons. Please be Riders, she silently hoped. Evangeline decided to take a chance and reveal herself, before they found her themselves.

Evangeline stepped through the bushes, and immediately asked the question she needed to know the most. "Riders?" She blurted out. Hopefully, if they were, Firesong could come out. But she needed to be definate. They might be lying.

Most recent OOC posts in Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

I have posted. Sorry its short but had to do it on my phone as net is down in my house.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

Our turn order(the three of us and possibly four if the other person finds their way in) is Belynta, Drogyn, Myself, so it's currently Belynta's turn. n.n

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

I know it's someone's, though I just know that the next post doesn't belong to me.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

I have no idea where he went, let alone why the rp suddenly seemed to halt. Unless it's my post and I just never realized it.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

Just out of curiosity, anyone know what happened to Arekk our GM?

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

I'm very unhappy with my last post. Something about it just bothers me, even though I can't really be sure why.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

I've got a question too. I realize this question is coming kind of late, but are there any other races, like Elves and Dwarves, or are Humans and Dragons it?

@Archlkan & Ikiros: Well since they both want to destroy the Solar Dragon, they seem like the types to call a truce until they no longer have to stand each other's company. And don't forget that one encounter where one of them saves the other, and the other asks why they saved them, and they act all Tsundere and turn away blushing and say something like 'I still need your help in finding the solar dragon right?'...well, I suppose you don't need to have a moment like that...but it'd be cool. Well not cool, 'cause that word doesn't exactly describe the situation, but it's close enough in meaning for what meant. I'm so sorry, I'm rambling again, I'll shut up now.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

Ok, really quickly need to point out that when I went through the link and downloaded the map, it failed to show itself for some reason. I have no idea why this is, but if someone can give me some advice, I'd be thankful!

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

As requested, I added in names of the towns/cities. I even named the bodies of water and islands that surround the mainland.

@Ikiros: I've heard of CC3, but never tried it. I prefer simpler programs as some can produce the same things a more complex program can. Plus, the simpler ones are usually free.

Map: http://www.mediafire.com/?8ggiokr9e06vxr6

(I had to make it a .bmp file, otherwise I couldn't save it and upload it. So deal with it!) :D

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

Gotta say, I like the simplicity of the program. I have one called CC3, which is a bit more complex, but it basically does the same thing.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

God so demanding >.> Yeah, I guess I could name the villages and cities. It would make things a bit more smoother. Just ignore my cheeky weirdness. It happens a lot :D

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

.bmp, seriously. I just have to whack your head for that, mate. File types and their sizes aside, I like how village just says; village. And city just says; city. Really, no words can describe how awesomely weird that is. Town names. Now! lol. I'll be around, as always.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

Ok, so here is the link to the map. (You can download it off of mediafire) I don't know how to post the picture without somehow uploading it to photobucket, which I don't wanna do. It's a small file, and you can keep it or get rid of it.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

Sorry guys. Family emergency came up and I hadn't gotten a chance to start or even post the map. xD I'll get right on it. But the Rp will have to be delayed until tomorrow as I'm falling asleep while typing. Sorry again, but shit has been happening. As for the program I'm using, it's called AutoREALM and it's a pretty incredible piece of software. If anyone has ever been interested in creating some kind of map, I'd give this one a look at.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

I'll have to agree with Ikiros in his earlier post. Just cruising the site and found this, and thought it was very interesting and well thought out. Though, is this role play waiting till Arekk can make a map for it? I don't want to be taking up space in a disappearing role play (even if I just sent my character sheet...).

And then I read through and theres MAGIC. Adios while I go to change a few things on the lil o' sheet.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

@Arekk:
Aw Yeah...BFF'suntil one of them kills the other.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

@Ikiros:
That'll get em both nowhere. See? They're friend already. (xD) Because friends always fight each other, for the sake of obstructing them.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

@Arch:
Well, yes. I mean, It'll either be that, or Ori will be opposed to Izach at every turn, and might go out of his way to make things harder for the hunter.

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

@Arekk:
Cool beans! And when the map is finished, I'll probably write a History for Izach. Because he really needs an awesome history. :\

@Ikiros:
I believe it'll take a whole bit. I mean, Izach is a Hunter. And Ori is a Dragon. Fighting first, Friendship later. If one of them ain't dead by then. (xD)

Re: [OOC] Era of the Dragon: Saturn's Egg

@Arekk: Very awesome. Might I ask what the program is, btw? And I would think Friday evening, but that's just me.
