Introduction

Demons fighting for freedom...
...Demons fighting for love

Image
Thrown out of hell, as if we were garbage...

Four demons cast out of hell by a faceless woman named Soshi to take part in her twisted, violent little game. Her goal? To start a war. The purpose? Simply to ease her boredom, good entertainment is so hard to come by these days.
She sent out all of her forces to block off all exits from the small town of Beamore, keeping the demons inside. Only humans may leave, and security is tight.
She unleashed all of the female demons to find a man of their choosing, and if the demon finds a suitable human man, they must stay together until they share a true loves kiss. When they do, the demon's full power is unleashed, and they become stronger, and their special elemental power is unlocked.
But only if it is true, mutual love.
Now we are pawns in Her game...

If there is mutual love between the human male and demon female, their passion will burn the mark of the demon into the male's palm, signifying their binding. The mark will take the shape of the demon's elemental power. A wave for the water demon, a boulder for the earth demon, a bird for the air demon, and a tongue of fire for the fire demon. Three weeks after all of the demons have been bound to their mate, the war will begin, and Soshi's army will come upon the demon and their human Guardians.
Forced to fight to keep the love and trust we worked so hard to gain...

Until then, the demons must try to live normal lives, and keep their guardians safe from other demons, because where they might have been friends back in hell, Earth does strange things to a demon's sense of judgment, causing them to attack any other demons they come across, as if the war has already started, and the enemy is one another. Can they form alliances, or will the activated demons destroy each other before the war even starts?
Let the Demon War begin.

1- No freaking one liners!!! Gosh! Haha. I'm not asking for 50,000,000 words, but give me at least a paragraph
2- I am law!!! Listen to me!!!
3- Make good characters
4- If you're not going to post DON'T JOIN!! I want ACTIVE ROLEPLAYERS
5- Post frequently, AT LEAST 1 post PER WEEK
6- Let's keep this PG-13, hey, you can always take it to PM if ya know what I mean ;) JK JK!!!
7- Please don't swear like a sailor, that's not attractive!
8- I am only accepting good characters, so I have the right to not accept your character. Bad characters are one of my pet peeves. For that reason, I am allowing more than one person to reserve a character, then I can choose the best one. If someone reserves, then makes the character, and no one has reserved it in the meantime, and I like it, I will accept the character, and no one else can make that character, then.
9- If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I know this might seem confusing, so questions are good.
10- All reservations go in the OOC
11- I don't want all of the characters to be like in their own world, they need to bump into each other once and a while, fight, and interact, or else this roleplay's not going to be very interesting.
12- The original version of this RP is by kalani98 who is no longer on Roleplay Gateway, all credit goes to her.
13- I am a very easy going person, so, don't be afraid of me, haha.
14- This is character driven, so don't ask me about every little thing, you are old enough to make your own decisions. Although, if you are planning something huge, please discuss it in the OOC.
15- Follow the Character and Posting skeletons.
17- Write the rule number that I skipped in your character sheet so I know you read these.
18- Don't start OOC wars.
19- If I ask you to change something, just change it, it's for the good of the roleplay.
Okay, now that you all know how needy I am, lets have some fun! :D
20- Also! Spud is my GM. Love him, hug him, squeeze him, and listen to him. He has as much authority over this Roleplay as I do.

Kiera Katzubin

A tall, seemingly normal girl walked down the quiet streets of the town called Beamore. Her brown eyes sweeping the streets over and over, her body tense as if she was waiting for something to jump out of the shadows. Once she reached the inner square of the town, she turned around and walked right back the way she came for the fifth time that night.

Looking as if she was dressed for a Halloween party in her demon garb, Kiera had gotten many strange looks from the town's citizens when she began pacing up and down Prince street. But, the looks had slowly stopped as the humans went in their houses to cozy up in a bed. Something that Kiera couldn't do.

Finally, when she finished her last trek down Prince, she turned a corner on the edge of town, and found herself in the "ghetto" of Beamore. Sighing deeply, the demon strutted a few feet before finding the nice dark alley that she's called her home for the past week. Since she was dumped on Earth, Kiera hadn't bothered trying to find a better place to stay. She barely came out of her alley unless she was hungry. Scowling at the putrid smell of garbage that had been piling up, she went to the corner where she slept and curled up, trying to get warm.

Sleep had almost found the lone girl, when the sound of people entering her alley tore her awake. She opened one of her eyes to see the shadows of a large amount of human males gathered in a ring near the entrance. Listening intently, she deduced that the humans were circling what sounded like some sort of street fight, though it was hard to tell through the drunken shouts and laughs of the men.

Kiera frowned at the men, but just lay there quietly, because without her powers, she knew even she couldn't fight off dozens of men influenced by alcohol. There was a loud roar from the crowd, that died down slowly as the men giggled and seemed to pat each other on the backs happily while they began to leave the alley. The fight was over. She could see that the only people left seemed to be the winning fighter, the loser (who was lying on the ground, undoubtedly unconscious), and a rather tall man holding what appeared to be a large wad of cash in his hand as he spoke in hushed tones to the winner.

She strained to hear what the two were saying, but her ears still ached from all of the earlier noise. She wondered why they would bother to whisper; after all, the yelling from before didn't attract any unwanted attention. As the men talked, Kiera relaxed back in her sleeping position, yawning silently.

She closed her eyes, and just before sleep could swallow her tired body, she felt a tickle in her nose, and before the demon could stop it, she let out a loud sneeze. "Oh shit-"

Her body went rigid as she opened her eyes and peeked at the three men. The two who had been talking earlier had stopped, their shadow covered bodies tense. Their heads facing her direction.

Lidiya Ugov

A small shadow paced along the board walk, walking past a row of small shops for the fourth time that night. Lidiya had been walking along for at least a couple of hours, trying to make her brain remember how she had gotten here in the first place. From what she had managed to see, she was in a small town (Baremore, Was it?), with a very small population. Lidiya had attempted to leave the town a couple of times, trying to walk past it's outskirts, but she just couldn't...allow herself to do so. Something was pulling her in, yet she didn't know what.

The Demoness plopped down on a small metal bench, beginning to rub her temples. She already had a horrid headache, and didn't want to make it worse. A small breeze flew by, causing her long, rust colored hair to sway across the bench. 'I really need to cut this... She though, tugging on a long piece of hair. It was past her hips now, and often caused her a load of trouble if it wasn't tied up. She listened to the sound of the waves pushing against the shore, and allowed her crimson eyes to close slowly, jerking them open as she began to doze off in her akward position.

"B-Bleh." Lidiya said, shaking her head furiously from left to right in a desperate attempt to stay awake. Wake. UP! She though, angry at herself. 'I can't allow myself to...doze... She began to drift off once again, before jerking her head up once more. Sadly, her legs went up as well.

"Damnit!" She exclaimed, narrowly escaping herself a knee to the nose. Lidiya was past angry now. Jumping up from her less-than comfortable seat, Lydia began to pace once more. Minutes passed, and shop owners began to close down their brightly-lit shops. Soon only one store was left open, it's lights glowing brightly under the pale moonlight. A...Sushi resturant? Lidiya shrugged her shoulders, and continued walking.

Kensei Shimiza

Today was just another day to Kensei. He had sat at home for the past few hours working on his new puzzle of Tokyo in the Night. It wasn’t a flashy picture, just the skyline with everything all light up. It was approaching ten o’clock and the sun had clearly set. Today was the first day all week that Ginji hadn’t stopped by to hang out and as a result, Kensei was awfully hungry at this hour. He hopped over to his computer, the light blue screen illuminating the room. β€œLet’s see how much money I have…” He yawned as he checked his bank account. β€œJust about 20k (Yen) that should be plenty.” Kensei logged off his computer and walked out of his apartment.

β€œSloan would probably be fastest. I’d get to walk along the boardwalk too.” Kensei set off, walking down the two flights of stairs onto the pavement. He began his stroll down Sloan, a quiet little street that was the home of the only apartment buildings in Beamore. β€˜I wish I had a bike…’ The walk wasn’t real long; it was more of a waste of time. He yawned as he turned the corner to get onto the boardwalk.

Prince was another street that ended on the boardwalk; Kensei just happened to notice some sort of scuffle as he walked by. β€œI swear, if Ginji is participating in those night fights again…” Ginji had a habit of being short on money and found out that these night fights could produce some hefty cash prizes. It wasn’t something Kensei liked to see at all, no matter if you win or lose, you’re always beat up. β€˜I just hope they don’t notice me, I’m not getting wrapped up in that shit.’ Kensei continued his walk, praying that the group of guys down Prince wouldn’t notice him. Thankfully he cleared the intersection peacefully. It was only two more intersections until he arrived at Beamore’s sole sushi bar, Oshiguru Sushi. He was what someone could call a regular there. So long as he had the spare yen, Kensei made Oshiguru a regular destination.

The walk continued. Kensei was almost to Oshiguru’s when he tripped, falling flat on his face. β€œWhat the heck…” He picked himself up and rubbed his face, feeling a little bit of blood falling from his forehead. β€œWell that’s just awesome…” He rose to his feet after a few moments of wiping the blood off of his forehead and rubbing his aching forehead. He couldn’t see anyone around and he knew something deliberately tripped him. Alas, there was nothing but a shadowy figure sitting on a nearby bench.

Looking around, Kensei found no trace of any mischief. β€œI could’ve sworn…” He knew something tripped him, he wasn't a clutz by any means. The only good thing was that the bleeding wasn’t excessive, it actually stopped pretty quickly. He walked up to the shadow covered person sitting on the bench. β€œExcuse me; did you happen to see anything, odd, just a second ago?” Kensei wasn’t exactly sure why he was bothering this person; it just seemed to be the right thing to do. His spare room was free for the night and he didn’t like seeing anyone forced to sleep on a metal bench all night, even if they were homeless, one kind gesture can make a world of a difference.

Feldt B. N. Seiei

Painted against the night sky and buffeted by the wind, the figure in black sat propped against the corner of a small mesh fence, that barrier the only boundary between her and a twenty story fall. While the apartment building was apparently supposed to be a standard place of residence for Humans, Feldt had a sneaking suspicion that this standard did not extend to the roof of the dining wing, an open, rock-covered expanse beneath some of the higher apartments in the main wing of the old stone building. The powerful and chill winds were certainly a force to be reckoned with, the cold air freezing her thin form, used only to the much warmer climate of the upper rings of hell, to the bone and prompting her to take off her coat, draping it over herself tightly as a sort of makeshift blanket. On top of this, it had also been immensely difficult to reach the rooftop, since she had been forced to climb up an old fashioned fire escape, then creep over some scaffolding and jump down several feet to reach her current position. On the other hand, however, it also provided an excellent tactical viewpoint, where she could not be taken by surprise by any attackers, and that, in and of itself, was a blessing.

It was still difficult to wrap her mind around all that had happened. A short while ago, she had been resting in her isolated hope in the underworld. All that had changed when she had been sent here, evidently to fight in some kind of battle, a prospect she equally dreaded and loathed. If this was some kind of game to whoever had sent her here, then it was a game she didn't want to play. Wars caused senseless violence, death and pain, all of which were things to be avoided like the plague. She knew from experience the full extent of suffering, and wished no such thing upon any being. But, it seemed, she was powerless to stop this impending war, for when she had arrived here, she had found herself deprived of her powers - except her ability to absorb pain, of which there was an astonishing amount, even in the world of Humans, and which made things even more inconvenient, although she would still rather suffer herself then abandon others to the pain they would otherwise feel - and stranded, which made any sort of intervention rather... difficult.

She sighed, trying to ignore the loud rumbling in her gut. In hell, she had rarely had to eat anything, but it seemed that here, her appetite had changed as well as her body, making her nothing but an incredibly empathic Human. Her throat was dry - it seemed that the water in the things Humans called "storm sewers" did nothing to quench one's thirst, and the bitter bottled drink she had found in a garbage bin had only caused her to feel unusually dizzy and excited, the both of which together had combined to make her feel very ill - and her stomach empty, causing her body to give a pained cry of protest with each move she made. But pain did not deter her in the least. After all, she had suffered the full force of the torments of Hell before, so why would a simple stomachache stop her? But, she realized, if she didn't find a secure source of food and water soon, she would surely die, another prospect she rather disliked. On top of that, however, there was her lack of a stable shelter. While the apartment rooftop was an easily defensible position, it was also very open, meaning she might be spotted by Humans, or, if it began to rain, would be drenched. Fortunately, at the moment, the diner wing was undergoing renovation, meaning several tarps over the roof obscured her form from view, and might protect her from the weather - but, she realized, such accommodations could not last forever, and would need to be replaced.

Feldt's thoughts were disrupted by a sort of itching in her nose, a sensation she did not recognize. For some reason, she felt the compulsion to suck in a quick breath, then release it, making a rather uncomfortably loud noise that echoed off the sides of the building looming over her, and might have given away her position, if anyone was listening. She guessed it was probably a symptom of the uneasiness - called "sickness" by the Humans, if she recalled - she felt inside her, and made a note of it for future reference. Glancing up, she stared quietly at the city all around her. Many shops in the surrounding area sold food and drinks, and this building was itself a place of residence. Unfortunately, it seemed all Human interactions revolved entirely around some sort of barter system based on the exchange of a mysterious substance known as "greenbacks," of which Feldt, sadly, had none. This, in turn, led to her current predicament. She had nothing to eat or drink, and no shelter in which she could spend the night, and on top of this, none of these elusive "greenbacks" that were needed to interact normally with Humans. It seemed she had only one option: acquire "greenbacks." But the question was, how...? She didn't know what a "greenback" looked like, let alone where she could find one. On top of that, from what she had heard, it sounded like there were all manner of these "greenbacks," each with a different value assigned it, which would make estimating the worth of any given "greenback" almost impossible for a newcomer like her. Yes, it seemed she was indeed in a predicament, but for now, she could only plan ahead while she tried to get some rest. She hadn't slept in the past two days, and her lack of rest was catching up to her. Already, she could feel her eyelids drooping and her awareness fading. Sighing, she settled under her makeshift blanket, the hard metal fence behind her the only pillow someone as "greenback-less" as her could hope to have. Feldt just prayed - ironic that a demon like her would ever do such a thing as ask God for help - that she might not be found while she slumbered, and that her fortunes might improve in the coming day.

Ginji Hegawa

Ginji took slow deep breaths as the adrenaline left his bloodstream. His opponent, a fatter drunken man about his height, was lying face down in the alley. There was no doubt that the man was unconscious. Ginji could still see the man's face thanks to the dim light from the surrounding buildings. His nose was at an odd angle and blood leaked from either nostril. There was no doubt that it was broken. He wouldn't have been surprised if a tooth or two were chipped or broken. Or even missing. Ginji didn't pull any punches. He went down in three strikes after one clumsily thrown punch. It wasn't even difficult. Ginji didn't like it, but deep down he wished his opponent had fought more.

The wall of men that encircled the improvised fight pit slowly dispersed. The spectators occasionally stumbled on the boards; one particularly drunken man fell flat on his face with a grunt and muffled swearing. The "manager" of the fight approached Ginji, and handed him a rather large wad of bills and coins. It would certainly get him through the week, possibly several if he managed it properly. The fight manager offered some muted congratulations before he himself wandered off. Ginji slowly pocketed the money and turned to leave the alley. He felt the spot on his arm where he deflected his opponents drunken punch. Nothing. He doubted it would even bruise.

A sneeze made him stop in his tracks. It came from a grouping of garbage bags near the front of the alleyway. Ginji cautiously approached the bag, body tense and ready for any possible confrontation. He stole a quick look over his shoulder to see what the other man was doing. The fight manager was busy trying to wake up the unconscious loser with no success. His focus was centered on the garbage bags once again. When he was able to see what was concealing the garbage bags, he didn't expect to see what he saw.

There, siting among the foul smelling filth, was a rather cute girl in one of the strangest outfits he had ever seen. It looked something that belonged in a cosplay competition. Her body was covered in pale white scars that almost blended into her pale skin. She looked like she had been through a war or something. Ginji felt sorry for her, nobody should have to live in filth like that. He took a chance and stretched out his hand.

"Hey. I don't know where you're from, or what you're doing living in garbage like that. It's not my place to inquire into things like that. But if you would be willing to trust a total stranger, I can take you to my apartment and give you a place for the night. A bed and warm food, how does that sound?" He finished his proposition with a (hopefully) warm smile on his face. He felt like he should help this girl, for reasons that he couldn't understand at the moment. He wondered how she would respond.

Lidiya Ugov

Lidiya had long since finished her walk, and was soon passed out on the uncomfortable metal bench. Well...she was sleeping untill she heard a loud thump as someone fell on the boardwalk, not to far in front of her. Lidiya sat upright, her mouth twisting into a deep scowl. 'Who in the hell is up this late?' She thought heatedly. She watched as the figure picked itself up, holding a shadowy hand to it's face. Lidiya snickered softly, figuring the figure had injured itself.

β€œWhat the heck…Well that’s just awesome…” The figure began to look around itself, seeming asthough it was searching for something. She heard a clacking of shoes, and the figure began moving towards her. Lidiya narrowed her eyes, and sat cross legged across the bench. Yawning, she leaned her head against her hand, waiting for the figure to reach her. She was still tired, and would've killed for a cup of coffee right then.

β€œExcuse me; did you happen to see anything, odd, just a second ago?” Lydiya paused for a moment.

"No..." She said, her small voice breaking the akward silence between the two of them. "Nice fall. You okay?" She asked, standing. She walked closer towards the figure, her demon get-up swishing across her legs. She finally got a clear view of the figure. A male stood in front of her, a few inches taller than herself. Dark brown hair fell in streaks across his forhead, covering a pair of large hazel eyes. Lidiya frowned once more, waiting for the man's anwser. She never had been patient, and figured now wasn't a time to start. She was especially ornery, considering she had lost her powers recently.

Taiki Fujimoto

"Hey Taiki, would you mind working the night for me? I got a movie to go see with a group of friends, and you know how hard it is for me to get a girl, right? Okay thanks."

"But I didn't... oh well, it's not like I had plans although I will miss the new episode of Mongol Dynasty." Taiki continued stocking the store, completely alone. No one ever came to "Sushi Banzi!" at night. They hardly came in the morning. If only he didn't give up his job and the "Store of Dreams." It wasn't a glamorous job, but he did get to be where people were and maybe have a conversation with some of them. This job did pay more and he wanted the money, not to mention the occasional left overs.

"I can't complain, sure Banzie isn't the best co-worker and he rarely comes to work on time, doesn't help around very much, but he's the only close friend I have. A friend is supposed to help them when they need it, and he does help me. Like that time- umm... he- why am I even talking to myself. I have to prepare for customers." Taiki walked out into the front. No one was there obviously. This gave him a chance to wipe off the tables a few times.

The fact that a sushi restaurant was open 24/7 with a work force of about 4 people boggled the mind. The motto was, "If we're open all the time, sooner or later we'll be the only restaurant open and people will have to eat here."

Nadakai Takeo

An expression of what could only be described as the ultimate form of utter frustration was painted on Takeo's face as he looked up at the night sky. It had taken him many months since he had gotten to Beamore to find a new way to give himself time and space, calmly look at the latest news in his life and evaluate his own predicament. It sounded like something relatively easy to do for most people, but to him, thinking about his tight agenda in his room only made the already close walls of his small apartment seem like they were moving towards him little by little, stressing him out even more. He had only recently discovered that the building's rooftop was a good place for one to meditate: there were no moving walls, no falling ceiling, and since there were currently renovations in the making, no one really went up there anymore, so it was good for having time for oneself. In some occasions, Takeo would go up there when he was fired from a part-time job or had to take up a new one, sometimes it was because his studies gave him no time to breathe and others because he had a discussion with friends or his parents; this time it was a little bit of everything.

He had recently taken up a job in a bar very frequented by generic salarymen after they got off of their generic jobs to drown their generic worries with booze. There, the atmosphere would grow rather depressing the later it got and Takeo couldn't help but be bothered by how the more frequent clients would complain about his boss, the owner of the bar, hiring him instead of a cute girl. Truth be told, he could kind of empathize with that; as a man who had to deal with his own daily challenges, he could understand the appeal of enjoying the presence of a beautiful woman (or several of them) after a hard day. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for him, and he instead had to apologize to other people for not being born a hot chick. Life tends to work in the same way as a domino arrangement in the sense that if one part falls, the others are affected and fall as well; in that same way, the new job was complicating Takeo's life a tad more: he had less time to study, less free and sleeping hours and negotiations for money with his parents were reopened once again even though they never really had a happy ending. To make a long story short, he wasn't exactly going through the best time of his life.

Of course, just laying on the rooftop and thinking about things didn't actually fix them, but at least this was a good way for him to try and somehow convince himself that it wasn't as bad as he initially thought; it worked one out of ten times. He was only recently learning just how complicated living alone and being independent could be, and while he could appreciate the advantages, there were times when he wondered if it was worth the trouble. He finally got up on his feet and stretched as he told himself that it was about time to go to bed if he wanted to wake up early the next day.

"So unfair... " he mumbled to himself in an almost purposefully childish tone. He wasn't done sighing when a sound interrupted him, taking him by surprise and making him quickly stand firm as if he had been caught hiding a dead body.

He quickly identified the sound as a sneeze and scanned the area with his eyes still wide open from the surprise in search of a person, but to no avail. Even before renovations had started in the rooftop, Takeo had never seen anyone else go up there at that time of the day, so of course the sound of another person would startle him. He waited in silence for a few seconds until he realized that there would be no response and that his unknown rooftop friend most likely hadn't noticed him either. He had, after all, been there for over an hour immersed in his own world and without making a sound, so it didn't seem that weird if he hadn't heard that person coming; or maybe it was the other way around? Out of curiosity, he decided to follow the sound of the sneeze and see which one of his neighbors had suddenly felt the urge to breathe some freezing air as well. He had to walk more than just a few steps, but when circled around some tarps laid close to one of the fenced borders of the rooftop, he was instantly able to identify the source of the sneeze. It was a girl, a young girl half covered in an odd white coat in an attempt to shield herself from the cold of the impending night. She seemed to be in horrible condition; her appearance gave away she hadn't slept under shelter for at least a few nights and her face suggested that she was quite ill. And yet, the sight wasn't ugly in the least; on the contrary, her pale skin seemed to shine under the moonlight, her colorful hair made her look more alive and her fragile appearance, combined with her white skin, gave the impression that she was made of porcelain. From the angle Takeo was looking at the scene, it seemed like a beautiful yet tragic painting.

Breaking out of the hypnotism caused by the scene after a few seconds, the young man stepped closer to check on her state, which was as bad as it seemed from a distance. He crouched down in front of her until his head was only slightly higher than hers, but kept his distance; on a closer look, he was able to confirm that the girl was indeed very young, roughly the age of a high-school student, and couldn't help but brainstorm a few theories on how she ended up there. Despite having obviously been living on the streets for a good few days now, she didn't look like she had spent her entire life sleeping in the alleys, so he leaned towards the possibility of her having run away from her home. It made sense; he had heard that cases of young students running away from their houses just to reappear after a few days upon realizing living on the streets wasn't that easy weren't that uncommon. Whether that was the case or not, it definitely did look like she wouldn't last very long by herself and he felt as if he needed to help her. He wasn't exactly a charitable soul that would offer food and shelter to whoever he found on the streets, but if he saw someone who was obviously not handling it that well and had possibly ran away from somewhere, why wouldn't he be able to give a hand, at least for a night? However, for some reason, he felt like waking her up didn't seem like a good idea, as if doing so would interrupt the soothing scenario in front of him. He scanned her face one more time as he tried to figure out what to do; he noticed this time that her eyes were a deep green. Wait... green?

"Eh...?", he finally realized in a rather clumsy manner that the girl's eyes were open. As to how could he had been so immersed to not have taken notice of it until closing in, he didn't know. "You awake?", he finally asked, not knowing if she was fully conscious.

Feldt B. N. Seiei

As darkness began to close over her vision, the young Demon noticed something: a slight movement as something blocked out the light of the moon above her. At first, she thought it had just been the wind blowing about one of the tarps that concealed her, but it moved back into her view and stayed there, unaffected by the whipping winds that scattered across the rooftop, and despite the sound of rushing air all around her, Feldt was sure she could hear the quiet sounds of another person breathing. Slowly but surely, the realization crept into her tired mind: someone had found her.

Whoever it was who knelt over her where she lay did not so much as move nor speak, which, combined with the fact that she felt none of the pains caused by hunger like her own from him - the size of his silhouette, seen through her almost closed eyes, told her his probable gender - told her that this was likely a fairly reputable sort of person - one of the denizens of the apartment, perhaps - which meant she likely had little to fear from him. Slowly, tentatively, she opened her eyes, and began to size him up. It took him a few moments, but he soon noticed that he was not the only one examining the strange new arrival before him. After a few seconds of awkward staring in silence, he spoke up, asking a very simple - and likely rhetorical - question.

"Yes," Feldt replied quietly, her voice sounding rather dull and calm, although if this was caused by the haze of fatigue clouding her mind or by her own stoicism was anyone's guess. "I apologize," She continued simply, her quiet, passive voice almost carried away by the winds rising into the night. "I seem to have bothered you. If my sleeping here is a problem, I could move elsewhere."

Kiera Katzubin

Kiera narrowed her eyes, two of the men didn't seem to have noticed her, but the winner of the fight had. She arched her back like a cat ready to strike, but the man didn't seem to notice. No, he held out his hand to her and talked to her as if she was a lost child."Hey. I don't know where you're from, or what you're doing living in garbage like that. It's not my place to inquire into things like that. But if you would be willing to trust a total stranger, I can take you to my apartment and give you a place for the night. A bed and warm food, how does that sound?"

She scowled and smacked his hand away, standing up on her own and dusting off her clothing. "I don't know who you think you are," Kiera hissed through her teeth. "-To think that I'd need the help of a filthy street fighter." She crossed her arms over her chest and looked over the insolent human who tried to help her.

He was dirty from the grime and dust that covered the alley, but he still had the appearance of a well-kept young person. He was also muscular, but not to the point of being overwhelming. His black hair was messy and his grey eyes were sincere and kind, so much so that it almost made the female demon forget why he was standing there in front of her. If it wasn't for a sudden growl that came from her stomach that caused her to jump a bit.

She sent him a dirty look and pointed to her stomach. "Fine, I'll come with you, but not because I want to." She added, "I just need food and the trash in here is not adequate to my tastes. I will leave your house as soon as I finish eating and get cleaned up, and I will stay no longer. You will not ask any questions and will do as I say. Now, lead me to your so called 'apartment' so that we can both get this over with."

Ginji Hegawa

Ginji's face never changed as his hand was slapped away. The comment on his being a "filthy street fighter". That stung a little bit, yet he shrugged it off anyway. He considered walking away from the girl that very moment were it not for the ravenous growl from her stomach. His right eyebrow rose in incredulity. Holy... When was the last time that this girl ate? She glared at him so he hurriedly dropped his eyes.

Strange girl. She's probably foreign. Ginji glanced at her outfit again. Definitely foreign. Probably some higher up family or something. It would explain the attitude anyway. Ginji simply shrugged his shoulders as he began to walk towards his apartment. "Whatever you say. Just follow me." He began to exit the alleyway but turned back for a moment to look her in the eyes. "I know you said no questions, but you could at least tell me your name before I let you stay in my apartment."

((I'm going to timeskip a few minutes so that Kiera and Ginji get to his apartment)).

Ginji unlocked his 2nd floor apartment with the key that was attached to a string on his belt. The door swung open to the dark interior of the apartment. He flicked the light switch next to the door. The soft light illuminated the bare apartment furnishings. A large main room with a bedroll in the corner and a small table on the opposite wall. Next to the bedroll was a sliding closet door where Ginji kept his clothing. To the right of the main room was a small hallway similar to the one at the entry of the door. On the left side of the hallway was the kitchen with basic commodities. At the end of the hallway was the bathroom. Ginji extended his arm and stood by to let Kiera enter.

"This is where I live for now. I'll get something to eat started soon, shower if you want. You can borrow a few of my clothes if you want to wash your own. Or I could wash them on my own. It's up to you."

The young man wasn't sure what to think exactly of the girl's reaction; at the very least, he could say it wasn't what he would expect from someone in her position. It really did seem like she was willing to move somewhere else despite her evident fatigue if he said the word, and the tone of her voice suggested she wasn't going to complain at all. He didn't know whether to interpret that as a sign of submissiveness, remorse or apathy, but for some reason it made him uncomfortable. Not only that, but suddenly a feeling of guilt began to take over him. Sure, she was on the rooftop of a building she didn't reside in, but she wasn't bothering anyone and In fact, wasn't Takeo the one who had been a bother by keeping her from sleeping? At least that's how he would expect it to be in her eyes.

He scratched the back of his head, trying to figure out exactly what was going through her mind and almost instantly came to the realization that he really hadn't planned this at all. For a second, he wished he could go back in time and avoid starting that conversation, but the image of the girl's fragile figure almost shining with the moon behind her was still fresh in his mind. In the end he decided to, for once, go with the flow. He sighed and got up from his crouching position.

"Actually, if it's okay with you, I was thinking I could use some conversation. This place gets boring after a while.", that said he took a few steps and sat down against the same fence as her a meter away, his eyes fixed in the sky. He wasn't used to having conversations like this, where a simple 'how are you?' felt like a stupid question to ask; that was certainly a drawback, since lately it seemed like his specialty was asking pointless questions. "Nice coat", his final remark seemed just as pointless as the many questions he had discarded in his mind.

The quiet, uncomplaining figure nodded stoically, and, adjusting her position slightly, sat up, her head propped up against the fence behind her, presumably to use the rather uncomfortable feeling of the metal links of the fence pressed against the back of her head to keep herself awake. Despite this, however, her eyelids still continued their repetitive cycle of drooping shut, then fluttering open again for a few moments, only to begin falling closed once more. It was obvious she was trying her hardest to keep from falling asleep, and equally obvious that she was failing in this admirable but futile attempt.

"Very well," The young demon said rather formally, blinking a few times to clear away the fog that was once more crossing the surface of those deep emerald orbs. Deep down, Feldt had to wonder if it was normal for Humans to be out so late in such a high, isolated place, seeking conversation. Although she didn't have much experience in the mannerisms of Humans, she was pretty sure this would be classified as "abnormal."

"Oh. Thank you," She said, having, fortunately, managed to remember that those two magic words were the catch-all response to compliments, although unfortunately, the quiet, serene tone with which she spoke might have made her sound annoyed, although in fact, she didn't really mind the boy's sudden appearance. To be honest, she had actually been a little bit lonely, sleeping by herself on that desolate rooftop. Back in the demon world, she had always had kind comrades tending to her - having always been frail in nature due to her dangerous abilities - keeping her company in her isolated home. Those people had insisted on taking their own time to help her, and even though she had protested, not wanting to be a burden to them, they had kept by her every moment. Being all alone again, although she didn't want to admit it, made her feel sad, as it showed her exactly how much of her old world she had lost. That was why when the boy knelt down next to her and asked her to talk with him, she did so more than willingly. Although it wasn't easily noticeable, as she spoke, a tiny, tired smile began to form on her lips for the first time since she had entered that new and strange world. Even she couldn't help but be happy at the knowledge that despite being worlds away from the places and people she knew, she still wasn't alone.

Kiera Katzubin

Kiera sneered at the male as he looked her over, it was as if he was trying to figure out if he wanted to take her in or not. The human world was so backwards, she had already told him her conditions hadn't she? Now was the time to lead her to his 'apartment' not make a final decision. "Whatever you say. Just follow me."

That's more like it. Kiera thought, taking her time in gathering the few belongings she had acquired during her stay, and following. "I know you said no questions, but you could at least tell me your name before I let you stay in my apartment."

Kiera looked up at him with a slight frown on her face, "That seems like sufficient request." She responded, "my name is Kiera, fifth daughter of the Katzubin family. Since you seem to be-" she looked him over with a slight look of distaste- "of lower rank, you may address me as Mistress Kiera, or Master, if you so please." Her nose stuck in the air as she strode along behind the young man who was leading her. "You may now tell me your name and rank." She ordered, speeding up slightly so that she could walk next to him.

(Time skippy~)

Kiera followed Ginji into his apartment silently. She looked around at her surroundings curiously, frowning. It was more plain than the hole that she had been living in, though she was internally glad that it didn't reek of garbage, it actually smelled quite homely. She breathed in deeply, trying to identify what the smell may be, but Ginji's voice interrupted her thoughts.

"This is where I live for now. I'll get something to eat started soon, shower if you want. You can borrow a few of my clothes if you want to wash your own. Or I could wash them on my own. It's up to you."

"You better be a good cook." Was all she said, before she began to strip down to her undergarments in the main room. Now completely naked, the female demon (who knew no better, being raised with other female demons), left her clothing on the table and headed to the bathroom to get cleaned up. "Wash my clothing." She instructed, "also, I want you to leave a clean change of clothing on the floor outside of the bathroom. That is an order." Kiera walked into the bathroom and closed the door. "I expect dinner to be prepared and hot when I get out, understand?"

Without waiting for an answer, she turned on the water, and began to shower, fully clean for the first time since she came to this retched place.

((Sorry for the crappy-ness, freaking writers block))

I just got back... lol. So if we're re-kicking this thing, I'm game.

Re: For the Love of the Game

Maybe I noticed too late, but if possible, I'm also willing to give this another try.

Re: For the Love of the Game

*Very unenthusiastic* Yay, I'm back? I just had a bunch of characters and this character wasn't a one of a kind, so I dumped him. I can just accept him back if you can get this going again.

Re: For the Love of the Game

Re: For the Love of the Game

Is this RP dead?
I hope not :c

Re: For the Love of the Game

alright well, I'm home finally. :D I'm a little... loopy/out of it/hyper-ish because I'm on 4 MEDS! 4!
Anyways, apparently, female drivers are worse than I originally thought... a lot worse (no offense to the girls here). My mom was driving us to my cousin's birthday party when some 21 year old girl (Alicia was her name) who had her birthday a few days ago (freshly 21) decided to drive drunk while texting. <-- GREAT COMBO. Well she ran this sequence of two red lights and caused roughly 3-4 cars to crash. We have a somewhat small Kia and it was essentially demolished by some guy's big pickup truck. I Suffered most of the damage. My mom is pretty much ok, just some cuts and scrapes and stuff. She has some sores on her legs and stuff, but she'll heal and be all fine! Which made me happy. I'm suffering from a fractured elbow, a formerly dislocated shoulder, and a sprained leg. Oh and I had a lovely ppiece of metal lodged into my right hand... which hurts like a mofo.
all in all I'll be fine, had surgery for two days... woot and I'm fine as is. So long as my blood pressure doesn't suddenly spike, I'll be peachy. I have minor scaring and I'll have full functionality of my body in a few months. I'm pretty ok now... just the awkward pain in my right hand and the fact I have a sprained left leg. My left elbow is in recoop but isn't major at all, just a few weeks of taking it easy and I'll be fine. My leg should be better by August they said, which is perfect since I plan on trying out for marching band! :D My left shoulder was apparently dislocated from throwing it infront of my mother to protect her? <-- I don't remember doing that... but ok, I'm a boss. My elbow (which was the one fractured) ended up being the only reason my mom didn't get a fractured collar bone??? Which was also cool. So yea! I'm fine, although a little... tired and loopy. and I'm back! :D

Re: For the Love of the Game

Hey guys, I've been in the hospital... I'm getting home tomorrow, I'll let you all know what's up tomorrow, seeya guys. Don't worry me and my mom are fine though.

Re: For the Love of the Game

Hey guys, I'm going on vacation next week, so my posts probably won't be very frequent. I'll try to post at night buuuuuuuuuuuut, I don't know if I'll be able to everyday.

Re: For the Love of the Game

Well you know it was just a thought, didn't have to go and do that. A simple, "Hinasil, f- you my life just has meaning unlike yours," would have been fine.

Re: For the Love of the Game

Blah blah blah blah blah. Nevermind, disregard this post. :)

Re: For the Love of the Game

All I know is that tomorrow I have to get some shots and have some blood work done before I go for orientation for college D:
I have needle phobia!!! I HATE SHOTS! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
If I don't make it back alive tomorrow, I love you all, in that non-pedophilic non-homo way.

I'm scared

Re: For the Love of the Game

You know Mirror, the comments like yours about things like that blood testing always make me think these 2 things, 1. Are you just making it up to sound interesting and make an excuse to not post or something, and 2. Are people's lives that much more interesting than mine? Are they really that active? Makes me think long and hard about where my life is, then I forget about it when I go back to typing a post.

Re: For the Love of the Game

Yup, still Yen. :)

Guess what guys? I'm done with the appointments, so I'll try to post soon, though I can't tell you it'll be any good. I just got 12 vials of blood taken in for testing... I feel really out of it right now.

Re: For the Love of the Game

ok... So, does that mean it's an American City in Japan? D: I'm still confused. I'm pretty that means we'd be using the Yen... still... I STILL DON'T KNOW D: *~*

Re: For the Love of the Game

Hmm...I didn't really think about where Beamore was located when I made the town and street name in my post... since the RP was originally set in Japan, and some people had things about Japan in their CS's, I'll say it's an American town in Japan :D.
We'll just pretend this town is like hundreds of U.S. towns that are settled by people of different countries, religions, blah blah blah. So yeah, that's what we'll do.

Also, guys. I probably won't be able to post or answer your questions until later today because I have a bunch of doctors appointments that I have to go to because I suck. So... see you later.

Re: For the Love of the Game

Oh? But the name of the town was "Baremore." That doesn't sound Japanese in the slightest. I thought, because of that, we were in America. 0.o Anyway, the whole "greenbacks" thing was just me trying to be funny, but it seems to have not amused anyone, so I could remove it and replace it with something more fitting, if it's that big a deal.

Re: For the Love of the Game

I'm going to make a quick statement... We are in Japan, technically, right? I'm positive that, although we aren't in Tokyo anymore, we're still in Japan... Just a thought since Tsuki mentioned Greenbacks... which is more commonly a reference to US Dollars... just noting...
(Japan uses Yen, just saying, and for a good reference to exchange so you know would be 100 yen to the dollar. Essentially 1 yen is 1 cent.) <-- Although in the real economic world the currency is greatly changed from the Terrible Economic Deposition of US, it's honestly ~73 Yen per Dollar. Anyways, just a note. 100 Yen = 1 US Dollar, just sayin.
