If there were one word to describe Nathan, it would be "easygoing". He lives his life simply, taking everything open-mindedly and doing his best to never worry about anything. Being something of a lazy person, he often spends his time sleeping or sunbathing when he can. He particularly likes the beach but is quite scared of water. As far as his sexuality goes, he can be quite flamboyant. Although he's so easygoing, he's actually a very honest person; he doesnt act like anything other than himself. That being said, "himself" is very affectionate; it is not uncommon for him to greet a person, regardless of gender, with a kiss on the cheek. It's simply natural for him, since he grew up in Europe. Nathan has a particular love for all things sweet.
Nathan is the type of person to live on impulse, giving the impression that he is ADD or ADHD. He gets distracted easily. He's not one to talk seriously about anything very often, but when he does its always about something important. In fact, for Nathan to spill his heart out to anyone is quite unheard of. Wanting to be strong, he holds a mask of carefree happiness in order to hide what's really going on. He hates burdening people with his problems.

-Water...of any kind. He can't even take a bath because his fear is so great. (he takes showers instead)
-Being made fun of for being gay

History:
Nathan was born and raised in Europe until he was 14, when his parents decided to move overseas to find a better life for their only son. However, their plane had engine troubles and ultimately crashed into the sea. Unfortunately, both parents perished, leaving poor Nathan all alone and in foster care. Nathan was devastated for a long time, unable to even speak for an entire year. Seeing this, the foster home he was at put him in therapy. This actually helped Nathan cope a lot with what happened, and now he tries to live his life not only for himself but also for the parents he loved so dearly. However, he often still feels very alone, but does his best to hide away his loneliness.
Other:
Nathan no longer goes to therapy. However, despite his affectionate and easygoing appearance, he doesn't let people inside his heart easily due to a strong fear of losing the things he cares about. He's the type of person to keep all of his true feelings inside; he'll smile the entire time and assure the people he cares about most that everything is okay, even if his world is falling to pieces.
