Hanging out with Pete are two more ne'er-do-wells - Wario, a flabby and unhygienic individual, and Fawful, a bizarre little green genius.

"So Petey, you hear the news?" Wario said. "There's a mysterious emblem a-glowin' up in Mt. Moon! Word has it it could lead to something amazing - maybe even...treasure!"

Big Bandit Pete gets off the ruined couch and chuckles at the moment.

"If that's the case, then we're gonna be the ones to take the treasure for ourselves. But it better not be a hoax this time. I still remember that one time they try to trick me, Big Bandit Pete. And if this symbol doesn't do anything, we'll give that news reporter a pummeling for wastin' our time."

Big Bandit Pete walks out of the dirty cabin and is on his way to Mt. Moon. Apparently Pete is also greedy as Wario and mischievous as Fawful. He and Wario are the brawns of the team while Fawful is the brains. Imbalance you say? I think not! They want to make trouble!

"That's-a what you think!"

Wario skidded in on his bike. It was a rather rough skid, though, resulting in him getting toppled off his ride. "Oof - !" Fawful rode in on his rocket-pad.

"{sigh} Your feeble attempts for coolness are highly laughable," Fawful remarked.

Peacock pointed at every opponent present. "Alright, listen here!" she hissed. "If any of you mugs think you're gonna beat OUR team to that treasure, you're sorely mistaken!"

"Then I'm afraid that you have to take back ya said, sweetie!" Then came into the scene is Big Bandit Pete, the leader of the Meanie Bunch, "This here's treasure is gonna be ours, while you get diddly squat!"

"I should've expected you be here, Pete." Leilanie is not very happy to see him, "Whenever something big and epic is coming, you and your cronies came in at the worst possible time. Everyone knows that the treasure belongs to me."

"I think you need to snap yourself into the darkest parts of reality, girl! The treasure will bring me the boobies!" Claptrap speaks.

"No way, the treasure is supposed to help me get back on the right track," Captain Qwark remarks, "Also, they are expecting a VIP treasure hunter like myself."

"No, this treasure belongs to me!" Pete yells.

"It's mine!" Leilanie screams.

"The treasure calls hears my voice and wants me to come over" Captain Qwark claims it.

"I guess we must settle this conflict in a MEXICAN STANDOFF TO THE DEATH!!!" Claptrap calls this moment and he and the treasure hunters pull out their weapons. But Claptrap doesn't have any. "STEVE!" Claptrap cried, and Steve pulls out the bazooka and aims at the group.

Just as Steve aimed his rifle, a nearby rock turned from gray to red, and unfurled - wait, it's not a rock! It's a cloak! And its wearer has come out of hiding, leaping toward Steve with twin-blades blazing!

"How selfish of you all!" she shouted as she struck Steve's rifle back. "You've all such petty reasons. I don't see how any of you can be trusted with such a haul - "

She was soon interrupted by Peacock, whose gun protruded a large red robot arm, striking at her left arm and knocking away her blade. "That's MY lackey yer strikin', Hoodie!"

Wario and Fawful turned their attention to Leilanie. "Well, they're busy. What say we give-a the lady a proper greeting, eh?" Wario said to Fawful. "I say yes!" Fawful replied. Wario charged at Leilanie while Fawful flew at her with his rocket-pad, phaser at the ready.

Leilanie jumps over Wario to dodge his attacks and took out her kunai to toss them at Fawful's rocket-pad. With the rocket-pad impaled by the kunai, it explodes greatly that causes Fawful to fall off. Big Bandit Pete cracks his knuckles as he is about to pummel Claptrap. His victim starts to panic since he is does not have any weapons, so he cowardly run around in circles. With Steve as Claptrap's bodyguard, he tackles Pete. Captain Qwark gives Peacock an uppercut of justice.

Fawful leaps off his rocket-pad and fires several homing star shots at Leilanie. Wario leaps up and grabs Leilanie by the leg. "Gotcha! Ahahaha!"

Struck by Qwark's uppercut, Peacock is launched into the air. "Why, I oughta...!" From out of nowhere, she pulls several "George" bombs and hurdles them below toward Qwark.

"So presumptuous..." The cloaked lady aimed a finger at the lost blade, causing it to hover and fly back to her, striking anyone that tries to get in its way. She catches the blade, and rushes at Claptrap and Steve.

Captain Qwark catches the bombs and throws them back at Peacock with style. But he is caught off guard by Big Bandit Pete, and another bomb hits Qwark. Pete puts Qwark down and charges Peacock with his big fat fist. Claptrap screams in fear as he runs for his life and trying to get away from Red. Steve also runs, but throws a sticky grenade at Red. Leilanie pulls Wario with her leg and uses him as a human shield. Wario takess damage from Fawful's homing star shots.

As they continue to brawl over who gets the treasure, Leilanie senses that the symbol is glowing. The symbol from the ground is displaying holographic icons. The hologram's icon is a tree with the infinity symbol. Then the icon switches into a depressed ghost. Leilanie guesses that the clue is located in the Shadow Forest. There is a key visible on the symbol which can be obtained to the quickest treasure hunter.

To escape, she quickly makes her way to the key from the symbol and captures the for herself. Then she pulls her smoke bomb out of her pocket and throws down on the ground, creating a large smoke around the group.

"Heyoo?" Steve spoke.

"I can't see a thing!!!" Qwark coughs, "And I thought robots are supposed to have manners!"

"I RESENT THAT REMARK!!!" Claptrap screams.

The cloaked lady slides under the sticky grenade and launches a large blade of water magic at Steve. Peacock bats any incoming bombs back at Qwark and Pete. Wario gets hit by Fawful's shots, the latter becoming embarrassed by this mishap.

Then, the symbol glowed. This caught the cloaked lady's attention.

"(Tree...infinity...somber ghost...)"

Right about here, Leilanie swiped the key and made her smokescreen escape.

"!!!" The cloaked lady veiled her face with her cloak, blocking out the smoke. "{cough} Unfortunate..." However, she pondered over the clues presented by the emblem.

"(Let's see...a somber wooded area with the illusion of infinity...Ah! The Shadow Forest!)" She turned back to the others (Peacock, Wario, and Fawful were stunned by smoke). "Well amateurs, this was fun, but it seems the Red Riding Hood must be moving now, too!" With that, the lady, Red Riding Hood, veiled herself in her cloak and dashed off into the distance.

As the smoke clears, Leilanie and Red are gone. Big Bandit Pete is getting up and shakes his head off. Then he sees the icons hovering above the symbol.

"HOLD IT!!!" Pete screams. Claptrap, Qwark, and Steve cease their actions and look at Big Bandit Pete, "I think we got ourselves a hologram."

Peacock, Wario, and Fawful look at the images as well.

"Trees? An infinity loop? Weepin' ghosts?" Peacock puzzled. "What's all this supposed to mean?" Wario growled.

"Is it not sufficient in clarity for you?" Fawful berated. "The first hint points to a location that is rich in trees! The second looks like infinity, but it is a false facade - this place must have the appearance of a maze of endlessness! And then the ghost...the sad ghost that cries out in sorrow! A place with atmosphere of gloom noodles!"

"Uhhh..." Wario responded, confused. "What's that supposed to - ?"

By now, the image has fizzled out, and the emblem with it.

"There is only one place with such criteria," Fawful answered. "The Shadow Forest!"

"Is that all? Well, thanks for the tip, poindexter!" Peacock snarked. She turned to Claptrap and Steve. "C'mon lackeys! We gotta do some sea-hoppin'!"

Peacock opened a portal beneath Claptrap and Steve, and hopped in after them.

"Lackeys?! Minion, you forgot who's in charge here! I don't take orders from a lot of humans on the planet, including the ones that have robotic arms with white cartoony gloves! If I want to give them orders, then I will! And the first thing I want them to do is make a humungous pizza with bajillion toppings! Oh, by the way, thanks for opening the portal for us, Minion!"

Claptrap jumps through the portal with Steve.

"Oh no you don't! This treasure is mine!"

Big Bandit Pete hops into the portal, but it apparently kicks him out of the portal. Pete gets up and throws a tantrum.

"HEY! What gives, Lady?!"

Wario stomped the ground in frustration. "AGH! No one told us there'd-a be huge competition!!"

"Fear not, my muscle-minded acquaintances!" Fawful spoke up. "I have devising." With a press of his remote, Fawful summoned two more rocket-pads. "We make way for Shadow Forest!" Fawful hopped onto one, with Wario joining him.

"Hahaha, that's-a more like it!" Wario laughed. "Well, nothing a-to it, then!"

"Let's get to that clue before they do, Fawful!" Pete jumps on his rocket-pad, but his weight is too heavy to stand on, "Fawful, next time get me a king-sized rocket pad!

"So, you admit that you haven't lost any weight, have you Pete?" Qwark pokes fun at Pete's flabby appearance and his misfortune.

"HA! Unlike you and your superego, I will not lose my opportunity to get what I want~"

"With these pads? I hardly believe you can go faster with these."

"Say's a guy who doesn't have anyone to help you. No get lost!"

This hits Qwark in the face, but not literally. Captain Qwark needs to get people to help him on his quest. Pete laughs at Qwark as he starts his journey to Shadow Forest.

Wario and Fawful arrived on the other rocket-pad, following Pete.

"So, uh, which-a way do we go from here?" Wario asked.

"Simple as salt broth! We go..." Fawful paused in mid-sentence, as...he was unsure of where to go yet. "Uh...ehehehe...This is the reason why probes are of necessity, yes?" With that, Fawful used a remote to summon three rocket-propelled probes, which went forth to seek out the best path.

Meanwhile, Peacock was struggling to get on her feet. However, from beneath her skirt appeared a small teal bird wearing similar clothes, who pulled her back up by her leg. "Kudos, Avery!" The bird, Avery, tipped his hat and slinked down into a tiny portal. With that done, Peacock opened up the top of her hat, revealing Avery in some laser cannon mount.

"Okay nurse, see if you can dodge this! Argus Agony!!" The cannon fired a laser beam toward Valentine, who leaped clean over it. But then, from out of Peacock's arms came several more eyes, fanning out like a peacock's tail and firing a storm of Z-ray shots at Valentine.

"Tricky tricky...but not good enough." From out of nowhere, Valentine brought out a body bag (with a cadaver's legs hanging out of it) and used it to block the incoming shots. Peacock's robo-eyes started overheating, and had to stop firing. "Ah rats..."

"I'd hate to say this, but they could use a hand with that quack," Red told Leilanie as she dashed in, blades blazing.

"Minion! What happened?! Why are your eyes smokin' hot??" Claptrap spoke, then turns directly to Valentine, "You have desrupted my quest to find the treasure! I hope you're happy, because I'm about to bust a cap to your ass!! RAAAAAAGGGGHHH!!!!" Claptrap charges directly at Valentine, but trips on a small pebble and ends up falling down face face-flat. He raised his arm and shaking clappers. "YOU WIN THIS ROUND, TINY INCONVENIENT ROCKS!!!

"Gah, well.... For the sake of our friendly competition, let's go save their asses!!"

Leilanie joins Red as he took our her kunais. She aims for Valentine's head and throws them at her. The kunais hit Valentine and explode on her face.

"What- What just happened? Minion, was that you using that bomb on her again?!" Claptrap thinks that the kunais is from Peacock.

Meanwhile, Pete is looking at Fawful for a moment and cross his arms patiently. "I hope your little bots are up-ta-date. The last time you used them, they lead us to the edge of the cliff."
