Mario and Sonic don't have much time. But they fear that if they don't make it there, Knuckles is doomed.

Knuckles tries to let himself free from Sonic.exe much to no avail. "You.. coward...!" But a small interruption occurs behind Sonic.exe, which causes him to drop Knuckles. Something pink is holding on to Sonic.exe.

"I finally got you Sonic~" a pink hedgehog glomped Sonic.exe from behind, and unaware that she is glomping the false Sonic, she snuggles him happily, "You thought you can run away from Amy Rose, don't you Sonic? Well you won't be able to escape from my..." Then she opened her eyes and gazed at Sonic.exe, "...Sonic? You look diff--"

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" Amy screamed. She is so scared that she passes out. Sonic.exe scared her unconscious!

Sonic can hear Amy's scream from the distance. He performs the speed boost to get closer. There he finds fainted Amy and the hopeless Knuckles.

"What the--?!" Knuckles sees Sonic coming in the scene, "...!!!!!" Then he realized that the Sonic he encountered is actually Sonic.exe!!!

"Unless you want to avoid a good ol' fashioned beating..." Sonic calls Sonic.exe out, "Let my friend go right now!"

Somewhere far into the Nexus, the doppelganger Sonic.exe is pacing fervently near a cage made from a blood-red energy. Trapped in it are Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, Peach, and Rainbow Dash - the latter of whom is aggressively bashing at the bars with little luck.

"Rrrgh - !! Let us out!!"

Sonic.exe looked back to the cage, somewhat frustrated.

Back to Sonic and the gang, they indeed find miasmic cages. And to their relief, they find their friends trapped in the cages. Tails recognizes Sonic and knows that's the real Sonic. But Knuckles think otherwise.

"Sonic! Over here!" Tails waved at him from the cage.

"Are you sure that's him? That might be the fake Sonic that pretends to be the real Sonic." Knuckles glared at Sonic, "Oh, what's the matter? Fluttershy is too cute for you to handle?"

"Fluttershy?" Sonic commented, "Sheesh, what's with you lately, Knucklehead?"

"...Uh.. I knew that..." Knuckles scratched his head.

"Boy, am I glad to see you... and not that creepy knockoff." Tails smiled.

"Hey, at least you guys are alright." Sonic chuckled, "But why did Knuckles mention Fluttershy?"
