Description

The ever-popular princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, thanks to her famously sweet and forgiving nature. As the Mushroom Kingdom's ruler, Princess Peach has been kidnapped by a range of villainous individuals a number of times. Though requiring Mario to rescue her on most of these occasions, she is quite capable of defending herself. With her hover jump and parasol, she can be quite agile and hit quite hard!

Walking through the palace garden, Princess Peach looks around at the various roses, petunia, daisies, and various other plants--many of which she had helped grow. Looking up at the clear, blue sky, she then sighs. Peach hadn't really been able to get out of the palace lately, thanks to her many duties as one of Dream Valley's rulers. While these occasional garden walks were nice, they were hardly a substitute for getting to see her friends.

"I wonder what Mario is doing right now..." thinks Peach sadly.

Just then, glass shattered from within the throne room as one of the windows burst into smithereens!

Inside, Celestia and Luna, two alicorn princesses of Dream Valley, were struggling to stand after taking a severe blow from the mystery assailant, whom had suddenly vanished from sight, his creepy laugh echoing in the hall.

"Where...Where are you...?!" Luna shouted, trying to hold her ground. "Show yourself!"

Eeheeheehee...I told you, I'm waiting for someone. And I'll just play with you until she gets here!

In a red static blur, there appeared in front of Princess Peach...Sonic the Hedgehog? No, something was off about him - his eyes were pitch-black, save for blood dripping along the edges and pupils of the same color.

"Hello, Princess! Do you wanna play with me?"

"Peach! Don't listen to this apparition!" Celestia shouted.

Somewhere far into the Nexus, the doppelganger Sonic.exe is pacing fervently near a cage made from a blood-red energy. Trapped in it are Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, Peach, and Rainbow Dash - the latter of whom is aggressively bashing at the bars with little luck.

"Rrrgh - !! Let us out!!"

Sonic.exe looked back to the cage, somewhat frustrated.

"HEY! NO FAIR!!!" Goomp cried, "We wasn't even ready yet!!"

"Cheaters!" Paraplonk taunted.

Back to Sonic and the gang, they indeed find miasmic cages. And to their relief, they find their friends trapped in the cages. Tails recognizes Sonic and knows that's the real Sonic. But Knuckles think otherwise.

"Sonic! Over here!" Tails waved at him from the cage.

"Are you sure that's him? That might be the fake Sonic that pretends to be the real Sonic." Knuckles glared at Sonic, "Oh, what's the matter? Fluttershy is too cute for you to handle?"

"Fluttershy?" Sonic commented, "Sheesh, what's with you lately, Knucklehead?"

"...Uh.. I knew that..." Knuckles scratched his head.

"Boy, am I glad to see you... and not that creepy knockoff." Tails smiled.

"Hey, at least you guys are alright." Sonic chuckled, "But why did Knuckles mention Fluttershy?"
