Picking up a doctor?
When he had been told Section 6 was aimed towards more traditional special operations, Shibutani Matsui (Juene Mort when he had been in Mexico) had accepted under the idea that he would be getting to do more exciting operations than rescuing a weapons developer. Back when he had been in Mexico (privelaged knowledge that only the highest ranks of the Japanese government knew, unknown even by his fellow team members), he hadn't needed to worry about rescuing anybody. His mission had been a simple one: find somebody, track them, and eventually kill them. Or they could get even more simple: set up a sniper's nest, observe an area, and kill anybody from the "enemy of the week" for their mercenary group who came through there. Now though, he worked for a government, and so he had to get used to the fact that he couldn't always just be killing things. After all, he was public security.
Besides that, back then he didn't have a fiance.
Now he had Jessica waiting at home for him. His priorities had changed.
With a cigarette resting loosely between his lips, Matsui looked over the weaponry that was laid out on the table in front of it. There were two primary pieces of equipment that stood out: his C26 assault rifle, and his Seburo .50 caliber rifle. While most members of the team went with the C30, Matsui stuck with the older rifle. He preferred it for it's slightly higher firing rate and laser (not that he needed the laser to be accurate, mind). Then, the sniper rifle could be explained much more simply: he was the sections sniper. If he didn't have a heavy-duty scoped rifle, then he probably wouldn't be able to do his job as well as he had over these years. This particular rifle was one that he had been using for the past couple of years, and he had taken extremely good care of it. A good weapon is like a good women: hard to come by and it can be a pain when you lose either. Right now, Matsui slowly polished off the metal furniture of the rifle with a cloth, examining the rifle with an approving eye (the only sign would be his facial expression, seeing as his eyes were artificial).
He was in the armory: waiting for his fellow team members to arrive.
