Introduction

"Thinking of you, wherever you are.

We pray for our sorrows to end,

and hope that our hearts will blend.

Now I will step forward to realize this wish.

And who knows:

starting a new journey may not so hard

or maybe it has already begun.

There are many worlds,

but they share the same sky-

one sky, one destiny."

The Keyblade War. That's what they're calling it now. If there was a better name, I wouldn't know it. I guess it fits. To think, not too long ago the same guys we're fighting were our sparring partners. I can still remember when we were forced to pick sides. I'm not even sure there is a right side in all this mess. They both want the same thing. They both want the x-Blade. It's supposed to be some king of Keyblade more powerful than the rest of ours, so much more so that people seem willing enough to kill each other over it. It's said that this is a battle between light and darkness, but from what I've seen there's darkness on both sides. Sure, when Master, well I guess I'm not supposed to call him "master" anymore, Xenohart drew the line, he was all about using darkness to find the x-Blade, while Master Harik claimed that light was the only way to summon it. About half our ranks left with Xenohart. The other half...the half I'm now stuck with...they remained loyal to the light.

That was four months ago. The battles started out as small skirmishes, but they grew. And now stars are going out? We're dragging innocent worlds into destruction with all our fighting, and yet the promise of the x-Blade is all we're give. 'All will be fixed with the x-Blade in our hands,' I've heard Master Harik say more than once. I've already killed three of my old brothers and watched their hearts disappear above their heads, and I don't like it. We all want the same thing, but there's so much death.

There's something else. Something new. Strange dark creatures are starting to appear wherever we go. They seem to attack both sides, us and the darksiders. They're hungry for hearts. Someone jokingly called 'em heartless and the name has since stuck. Every time a star disappears I swear more of them show up. This war is proving to be too destructive, and I'm beginning to doubt whether or not this so called x-Blade will be able to solve all these problems.

Listen Mom, I hate to worry you with all this, but I don't know who I can trust anymore. Say one wrong thing and people begin to wonder what side you're on. I'm too full of questions to just follow these orders blindly anymore. Maybe there's others who feel the same way, I don't know. I just want you to know that if you don't hear from me again, or for a long time, I love you, as always. Hopefully I'll be there to talk to you soon. Just have to get to the bottom of things.

Your Loving Son,

Edward Kurst

Kurst leaned against his keyblade, starring out over the beach. It was night time, but that mattered little to him. He was getting less and less sleep lately that the time no longer mattered much. The War was having its toll on him. What worried him most was the darkness following him to this world, Destiny Islands. He had found it almost by accident a few weeks back and had since turned it into his own, private place of contemplation. Whenever he was troubled by something, this world seemed to instill in him a sense of peace. As a result, he had been coming more and more often. Usually at night though. During the day a bunch of kids would row their boats out here and play around. Kurst didn't want to bring the war to them in anyway.

After finishing his letter, Kurst stood up and opened a portal back to Radiant Garden, where the Lightsiders had taken residence. That world served as their Headquarters, and it was currently unknown where the Darksiders made their home. Walking into the castle, he handed the letter to a servant. "Make sure this gets to my mother." The servant nodded and ran off. He couldn't afford the time to take it to his mother, personally. That would take too much power, and, after all, he did have a war to fight.

=====

OOC: Ok! In a fit of nostalgia I bought my little sister Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts 2 for the PS2 for Christmas presents, and I just watched her play for two hours. So, for nostalgia's sake, I figured why not try and RP it. Of course, I'm older now, and so the story I want to write I feel should grow with me. Therefore, our story's going to take place during the Keyblade war. Not a whole lot is known about the war, so there's plenty of details for us to play around with all we want. You can have a character either on the Light side or the Dark side, and, hell, they can change back and forth if the story you're telling demands it. There's plenty of room here for personalization, romance, action, betrayal! Everything a good RP needs. So let's do it!

Character Sheet:
Name:
Age: (17+)
Gender:
Appearance: (A picture or description will do)
Side: (Light or Dark)
Keyblade: (Again, pics, or you can always describe it. You can also dual wield if you like, though if everyone's doing it then it loses it's cool.)
Personality:
Bio:
Other: (Is your character really good at magic? A good pilot? Anything else you want known, let it be known.)

Toggle Rules

1. Have fun.
2. No controlling other people's characters.
3. Romance is encouraged, but keep it PG-13, and take it to PM if you want more, you dogs, you.
4. Cussing's fine, just know the limit.
5. No canon characters. This takes place a long time before Sora.
6. Unused Disney or Final Fantasy characters from the games are allowed.
7. Our characters will already be trained Keyblade wielders, but none of them will be a god.
8. Fights between opposing sides is also encouraged, and when the time comes we'll figure it out.
9. Also, let's try and use some decent grammar. Not going to be crazy about it, but basic grammar's not much to ask for.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm really not looking for much in terms of your character sheet (Look at mine, for example). Just scribble down the basics. Name, Gender, Appearance, Personality (if you want to), Their Keyblade, and a Quick Bio. I personally detest character sheets and would rather just be rid of them. However, for now, just roll with it. Your character's true...character...will show up once we get going.

It was strange to be back to Radiant Garden. It had been about a month since he had left to go fight on some distant world in one of the most brutal battles of the war so far. Kurst was called back from the front lines of the war to be given a special task, or so he was told. The message from Master Harkin was rather unclear, so there was no way to be sure what was going on, really.

The war wasn’t looking good for the lightsiders, either. The way Kurst saw it, there was just so much raw power in darkness that it could often easily overpower those attempting to draw their energy from the light. The advantages the light side offered weren’t as prevalent in a duel with someone drawing on dark energy. In his opinion, the light was what you needed to run a marathon, but in a sprint darkness would prevail every time. If his theory was correct, they just had to last. The darkness would lead to infighting, and the enemy would crumble in on itself. But how long would that take?

Still, it was nice to be away from the war, although Radiant Garden had by no means survived without taking any hits. The war machine of the town was in motion, constantly gathering supplies to move to the Keybladers. An army needed food and other supplies to continue striving, and an army at war needed them desperately. Health potions were being made in bulk, of course, but a potion could only do so much. A potion couldn’t heal a broken rib or a severed artery, unfortunately, and for those things the medics needed special equipment.

Kurst did his best to ignore all of that though. He was incredibly tired, and just wanted a break from life for a few moments. The amount of power it took to create portals between worlds was growing exhausting. A jump to a world in close proximity was one thing, but to move large distances? It took a lot out of a person. Which was odd. It used to be much easier. Something was happening in the universe that no one really seemed to notice. Everyone was so preoccupied with the war that seams were coming undone, oblivious to everyone.

While he was hoping to get a nap in before being called to duty, sadly that wasn’t to be. A small boy, probably an apprentice, rapped on Kurst’s door. “Your presence is requested in the war room.” The boy turned and left when Kurst nodded, and for a few moments Kurst actually considered treating this as a “request” as opposed to what the boy meant, “command.” Swearing under his breath, Kurst removed his armor and put on a brown robe, keeping the hood down. It was kind of the uniform worn while not in the field, and Kurst always liked it because he would find humor in going naked underneath the robe without anyone knowing. He didn’t do that this time though.

Moments later, Kurst emerged yawning from his room and walked down to the war room. He could hear voices as he stepped up to the door.

“…And you can tell that jackass Thompson that if he wants to keep his position he better remember who’s in charge.” Ah, Master Harkin. Kurst stepped into the room just as another figure was exiting out the other side, and a look of surprise flashed across his face. Master Harkin had not aged well with the war. While the man was by no means young, the last time Harkin had seen him his hair was mostly light brown with little spots of aging gray, whereas now it was the opposite. His hair was mostly gray with a few speckles of brown clinging to his youth. More than that, the old man had lost some weight, which was troublesome considering he didn’t really have much weight to lose in the first place.

“Edward Kurst.” Harkin said his name, then paused for a few moments, as if reconsidering his next move. “I hear tell that you’re one of our book worms. Is that true?” Kurst nodded. Harkin was a blunt man. If you didn’t know he was one of the most powerful keyblade wielders alive you would never expect it. Karst had little experience with the man. He was never in charge of Karst’s training, never directly at least. What he did know was that what the man lacked in cordiality, he made up for with passion. The man loved the light, loved everything about it. During a lecture once, Harkin talked about how light was the most satisfying warmth he ever felt on his skin. It was clear now that was what Harkin was fighting for, to have that feeling one more time. “I have a mission that calls for a bookworm. These damn heartless…We know nothing about them. They appeared with the war and they attack both us and them. I want you to investigate it.”

Kurst was taken by surprise. Secretly this was something he wished he could be doing anyway, and now he would actually be serving his master by doing so. It was perfect. “Yes sir. I can do that. I can’t promise you that I’ll find anything, or that you’ll like whatever it is I find, but I’ll do what I can.”

“Yes yes, son. To be honest, I don’t really plan on liking what you find either. This whole thing smells bad. These heartless…I fear that we’re just as responsible for them as those who fight under Xenohart.” Kurst had to respect the man for that. He actually acknowledged that they could be at fault for this new, spreading evil. “Regardless, we have to know. Go do your duty, son.” Kurst bowed before turning and stepping off. Just as he was leaving, Master Harkin called to him again. “Wait, this isn’t something you need do on your own. We’ve called a peer of yours, Ignis, back from the front lines as well. Someone mentioned that you two used to be sparring partners, so it made sense for you two to tackle this mission together, seeing as how you already know how the other fights. He’s not reported back yet, though. Travel is getting harder and harder, but we’ve got a guy working on that, a scientist by the name of Doctor Gummi. Anyway, once Ignis has returned I want you two departing as soon as you are ready. Good luck.” Kurst bowed his head and exited the room.

If it had to be anyone, Kurst was glad that Ignis was his partner. It was true; back up could come in handy on this mission. There was no telling when it came to heartless. Being such a new enemy, no one knew very much about them at all. Both sides had already suffered many casualties due to heartless. And not to mention if they ran into any darkside keyblade wielders. This mission could very easily turn into a very messy situation. Kurst returned to his room and began to plan out how he thought best to approach this mission, new goals having long since replaced his once felt fatigue.

Ignis had just gotten back from the front lines. He didn't approve of how the war was being fought by the light siders. They need to use more dirty tatics. Hell they needed a champion that wasn't afraid of getting killed in the line of duty. He wasn't happy, about being called back. He was ruthless, Ignis wanted to kill more Darksiders. Hell he was even tempted to join them. Though Ignis doubted that he would be allowed to live. He went into his room and was met by a hooded figure.
"Hello, Ignis." The man said.
"WHO THE FIERY HELL ARE YOU?" Ignis yelled brandishing his Keyblade in a whirl of fire.
"My name is of no importance. We know that you are being sent on a misson to find out more about the heartless. The Dark Side is too. Join us, be a double agent and all your sins against the Dark will be forgiven." The man held out his hand, "Do we have a deal?"
Ignis didn't even think twice, "Yeah, we have a deal." Ignis shook his hand and the man disappeared. "Time to find Kurst." Ignis said walking out of his room.

Urushihara Akira, otherwise known as Shiha by all who bothered to ask, yawned as she stepped out of her home. She had claimed a nice two story house that had been abandoned when the Darks set up shop on the world, and lucky for her she had gotten to it first. The whole world was bright and a person who saw it would at first think it was still in shape. But, once you got a little closer and actually checked it out, you would find that it was filled with people siding on the Dark. She stretched and pulled on her jacket, turning and locking the door behind her.

Shiha walked down the road, twirling her axe gun on her finger in boredom. She got to the market and looked around a bit before buying a few potions and medical supplies to help her on her trip. Her plan was to visit Radiant Garden and kill off as many Lights as she could before retreating. It was a death wish for most, going to the central place for all Lights. She didn't mind, though. It would be easy enough to escape, create a portal, and get back to her house. She broke from her thoughts when she reached her destination.

It was a small secret place that she always made her portals. She had discovered it a bit ago on accident. It was just a clearing in the buildings, though you had to go through a maze of alleys to get to the single entrance, and even that was covered by a wall of loose vines. She had been lost one day when she found it, though it seemed to attract her to where she kept coming back. She shook her head and opened a portal, walking through and ending up in a woman's bathroom before sheathing her axe gun. Lucky for her. She then walked out of the place, going into the street and blending in with the crowd. She stuck out like a sore thumb according to colors, but who cared? There were plenty of different people.

She just had to find the few that were Light Keybladers.

'-and with that, things are beginning to heat up. Even here, I've come across people discussing this annoying war. I'm looking out to the sea right now, and I can't help but feel the fear that, when I next look at these seas, they'll be died red, instead of the lovely blue I've come to love so much.'

She stopped writing, to look up at the ocean. She was sitting on tree, a tree that had grown horizontally instead of straight up, witch made it the perfect place to sit, and gaze at the sunset. She glanced behind her, where some workers were building a shack, though they were beginning to head home after a days work. She nodded to herself, thought for moment, then continued to write:

'I don't want that to happen. When I sit here, I feel at peace... while, at the same time, I feel like the waves are calling out to me, reminded me that there's more out there than just this Island. I've felt like going home for a while but, at the same time, I don't want a keyblader there, in case the fighting spreads there. We're a simple town, yet it's entirely possible that it will become a battle ground... I pray that does not happen...

What lies ahead for me here? I've decided to call this place 'Destiny Islands', because all I can think about is what lies ahead from here. I'm about to head into a battleground. I suppose I'll just lay low for a little while, or maybe give a small hand to whoever asks me... Until I can find my purpose, that's all I CAN do.”

She sighed, walked over to a tree, and snacked it with her keyblade, causing a star-shaped fruit to fall from it. “Even here, these fruits have a legend... if you share a fruit with someone, you're destined to be together... such a lovely little story. I wonder if destiny will lead me to try that someday... there's that word again... 'Destiny'. I named this island well.

I suppose I should get moving... can't write here all day.... I don't know when I'll be able to sit here next, or even get a chance to write. I'm going out to find myself, my reason for existence. Wish me luck.'

She closed her journal, and locked it with her keyblade before setting it in her pouch. After finishing her fruit, she raised her right hand, where she called her keyblade, opening a hole to the Lanes Between. She shook her head with amusement. She backhand sprung off the tree.

Her feet never hit the ground. She hover a foot off the ground, suspended by her skated. With a small start, she skated her way into the lanes.

She cared not where she went. Everywhere these days were filled with war, combat, strife... this war wasn't going to know an end anytime soon so she had better take part in it, if only to speed it's outcome. Part of her hoped that, wherever she landed, her life, her reason to fight, would lay there.

She landed shortly on stone, and she looked around. She was in... a courtyard? No, a lovely town square, with fountains gushing on any side of her. She bent down, grabbed a white lilly, smelled it, and put it in her hair with a laugh.

Out of the corner of her eye was a small, cute little creature made out of some sort of black mass, with yellow eyes staring at her. “Hmm.... cute.” She said with a nod, before she remembered her over hearing a story about how such a creature had stolen someone's heart. “Right...” She said, before slow skating away, not bothering to deal with it.

She ran into something, and was bounced back. A big.... fat guy had run into her. “Hey, watch where you're goi- ….. crap.” She said, Handspringing away as it tried to body slam her.

“So... you're one of those.... sheesh, what did they call 'em? Heartless?” She asked, skating in circles, running over the smaller shadow, causing it to go out with a 'squeak!' “Well, you got in my way. Prepare yourself.”

The Heartless tapped its gut, charging at her lie a berserker. She backpedaled with with a small smile, then change course, skating right at him, ducking to avoid an arm. She latched onto the arm, using in to launch herself in the air, where she came crashing down on it's head with the force of a guillotine.. IT disappeared in a black mist.

She landed, Spinning on her heal to get maximum speed in the recovery. “That was kinda fun,.” She said with a laugh, and began skating in a random direction, “Destiny, here I come.”

Ignis was on his way to Kursts' tent when he was knocked over by a girl on skates. Doing a double take, he relised that they key blades. 'Whoa that's pretty cool' Ignis got up. "Ouch, did you have to knock me over? I know, I'm kinda famous around here but that doesn't warrant a surprise attack by a pretty little creature like you." He said jokingly. Ignis knew that he wasn't that famous. Though he was famous among his old classmates before they got their own masters. She was wearing a dark dress, had a bag on her side.

"My guess is you weren't paying any attention to where you were going, huh?" He said dusting himself off, "You a darksider?" He knew that many of the darksiders wore dark colors. Though so did some of the light warriors too.

The city was quite lovely. There were plenty of flowers, plenty of fountains, including a waterworks. She couldn't help but look around, taking in everything. She skated with hher hands behind her back, already thinking about what she was going to write in her journal.

Yet, the atmosphere didn't match the sights. She didn't see children at play, or old ladies hanging up their clothes It was.... solemn. She didn't like that. What could possibly obscure such a wonder peace?

Those heartless things were another thing... she could handle them, but there was no doubt in her mind they could take out a few civilians.... what madness invented them, and was there a way to stop them for good.

One thing was clear: she needed more information. Where was she? What was the current situation? How could she bring a happy atmosphere back to this place?

This was what she was pondering when she smacked into someone. On the verge of falling, she did a quick spin to catch her fall. She stopped skating, the skates them selves disappearing, reappearing as a longsword, witch she relaxed on her shoulder. “Sorry, I was trying to get a feel for this place.... you're famous?” She asked, mentally doubting that.

“Nope, I'm not a Dark-Blader. Not a Light-blader either. I prefer taking the middle road, until I find reason otherwise... Mind telling me where we are? And, is there someone I can go to for information?"

Her stomach rumbled,, "and maybe a market, where i can buy something to eat?"

There was a simple plan, and it made the most sense. They had to find a world on the brink of its destruction. That’s where they would find some answers. It was Kurst’s theory that the disappearing worlds were somehow tied in to the creation of the heartless. They both started around the same time…but that was really all the information he had to go off of. Anything else was just pure speculation, and this mission wasn’t about finding speculation. It was about finding facts, or the closest thing to facts that he could. The threat was growing though. Heartless…He’ll have to study them. Learn about them. Find out what motivates them. They seemed to hunger after hearts, so there was one motivation, but was there anything else? Was there something or someone controlling them? Hopefully all these questions would be answered, but at what cost?

Kurst’s Reports #1
Today I will be participating in an undertaking into the unknown. My goal is the understanding of these heartless, with the purpose of being rid of them. As of now, I have few facts and pages worth of speculation. Hopefully, before long, those numbers will have swapped. Luckily for me, with such little information known on these creatures, I have nowhere to go but up.

With me will be another of the Keyblade Corp who remained on the side of light when the lines were drawn, Ignis. Not the scholarly type, but I’ve known him for years. There’re few others I trust more than him in these turbulent times. I feel lucky that he was chosen instead of another. His company will be twofold in importance. For one, I fear darkness will tempt us thoroughly throughout this journey. With support, I am certain that we’ll be able to resist such temptation and stay true to ourselves. And two, while I am a skilled warrior, my focus has always been my studies. Ignis will serve as a powerful companion.

For now, that is all. I’ll continue these reports until the mission is complete, and will travel to the ends of existence to discover these truths. They’re out there. And damn it to hell if I’ll let more innocents die.
End

Kurst put the notebook into his pack and rubbed his chin, scratching the stubble that had grown since his last shave. The first step would have to be to find the world with the most heartless activity. How they were supposed to do that, he hadn’t a clue. He reached into his desk and pulled out a map of the worlds, or at least the ones that the Keyblade Corp had managed to discover. Currently, the masses of both armies were engaged in the deserts of Agrabah, so not there. Their mission wasn’t to win the war. Besides, the stars that were going out were the ones the Keyblade War hadn’t reached yet, most likely because there weren’t any keyblade wielders to battle the heartless on them, leaving the worlds mostly defenseless. Ironically, the worlds where battles were being fought were safest, because the armies killed the heartless as they appeared. Instead, Kurst turned his attention to another world, one no battle had taken place on yet. If his theory was correct, the heartless population there would be huge. Halloweentown.

Kurst leapt from his chair and grabbed his bag. They would need some supplies, a handful of potions…the usual. They could very well find themselves in a situation that prevented them from returning, so preparation was necessary. Quickly, Kurst scribbled a note down for Ignis, should he stop by, saying that he would be in the market getting supplies for the trip. Then he left his room and made his way to the market. Once surrounded by people, it was as if all his fatigue returned at once, and he stumbled. Instinctually, he threw a hand out to catch himself, but instead it landed on an interesting woman in red clothing. Radiant Garden sure had some odd looking folk, that’s for sure. Kurst mumbled an apology before walking past her. “There’s no way I’ll have enough energy to get all the way to Halloweentown,” he said, probably louder than he should have.

"You seriously don't know where we are? Right, we are currently at the wonderful world called 'Radiant Gardens' Allow me to formally welcome you. My name is Ignis Rogo. Though some people call me Iggy for short, and others call me 'The Lord of Fire" Ignis waved his hands around like a complete idiot.

"You want to go the market? Alright, I can't promise you that they have a whole lot due to the war." Ignis said walking towards the market. He looked back to make sure she was following him, "So you haven't chosen sides yet in this cursed war? I have. I'm with the Light Bladers. Though currently I'm a bit disgruntled on how they are handling the situation. That and those heartless don't make anything easier. I saw entire unit wiped out due those damn bastards. We just don't understand them or their purpose. Though some of the higher ups think we're the cause of them. You see, when we kill someone we see their heart fly off somewhere. Now we don't know what happens afterwords. Some of the men are desperate enough to offer themselves to find out what does happen."

Shiha yawned, even more bored than on the horrid world she lived on. She looked around, finding she was in a market. Her eyes brightened with an idea. If I can't find those wretched Light Keybladers, I'll just draw them to me... She smirked and turned walking into the center of the market and cracking her knuckles, stretching her arms, and shaking out her legs. She got quite a few stares, but those were what she needed.

"I haven't had a good, bloody workout in ages." A little boy near her jumped, no doubt having heard it. A sadistic smile crawled onto her face as she turned to him, bending down. "You're the first I'm gonna send to heaven." The little boy shook with fear, frozen in place. She chuckled darkly and in a second her axe gun was unsheathed and at his throat. "Goodbye little boy." The boy barely let out a scream as the axe sliced cleanly through his neck. She stood and walked away, hearing screams behind her and knowing they wouldn't have a clue who did it.

She then paused as a man's hand touched her as if he was trying to catch himself. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow, seeing that he was full of fatigue and probably hadn't slept in days. She then heard him speak as he began walking away. “There’s no way I’ll have enough energy to get all the way to Halloweentown.” She quickly turned and looked at him, reaching out a hand and putting it on his shoulder to stop him.

She spoke with slight hope in her voice, her eyes brightened though no with mercilessness. "You can get to Halloween Town?" She quickly sheathed her axe gun, not wanting him to see it just in case he would judge. She then quickly let go of his shoulder, taking a small step back and realizing she herself had reached out to someone. "I-I'm sorry, it's just that I'm curious. Can you really get to Halloween Town?"

“Radient Garden... well, it looks the part, though it doesn't feel that way.” She said, still looking around curiously. “Pleased to meet you, Ignis. My name is Miriam....” She left it at that, as she continued to look around.

“Well, It's not that I haven't chosen a side... In fact, I'm still trying to find the right side. I don't have a reason to fight, so i'm going from world to world, trying to find it.... those heartless things are curious creatures. Mindless, but interesting. They DO seem like a major threat but.... an entire unit? That's unbelievable!”

When she reached the market, she looked around, buying some of the food, and eating it happily, “I'll have to go get some more fruit from the islands later... those things were energizing."

....

He bounced up and down in a little sing-song, humming some random tune.

As of right now, he was located in Agrabah, rolling through the streets without a care on his annoying, white-painted face. "La-de-da....ACK! There's SAND in my BOOTS! AGAIN!" HE said. He snapped, ordering a nearby heartless to come over, take the boot off, shake the dirt off, and put it back on his foot.

Satisfied, he began skipping around again.

Two people appeared in front of him, drawing keyblades, "did you see that? He controlled the Heartless! Get Him!"

The clown narrowed his eyes. "So, you've come at last. Very well, It would appear that i'm left without a choice. Now, you pathetic fools will all bear witness to amazing, uncontrollable power. BEHOLD! KEFKA FINISHING STRIKE! LIGHT OF JUDGEMENT!" He shouted. He flexed his head, raising them up. With an incredible battle shout, dark light enveloped him, and the ground began to shake, making the keybladers take a step back in fear.

"Here it comes!ROOOOOAAAARRR..... just kidding." The light vanished, revealing a small, mechanical bird- a remote chocobo. With a squeal of delight, he sat on the sand, activated the remote, and the bird came to life, moving around. As it did, the chocobo theme song played from a speaker on it's back.

They keybladers gave each other a 'WTF' look?, and began walking forward, as the chocobo grew near. "HERE IT COMES! DIEEEEE!" Kefka said, pressing a button. There was a flash of light, followed by the sound of an explosion as Kefka pressed a big red button on the controller.

A few seconds later, the light vanished revealing.... two very frightened keybladers, with wide eyes. They both looked at the chocobo, witch had a small message that came out of his mouth that read: BANG!

Kefka gave a roar of laughter, rolling in the sand. "Did you seee the looks on your face? PRICELESS! AHHHAHAHAHAHAAHA AHAHAHA AHAHAHAH! Aha- okay, let's get serious. Good bye." He said suddenly, snapping.

Two icicles emerged from beneath them, impaling them in the chest, before exploding.

With a laugh, Kefka jumped up, and continued to prance around. "Now, WHEEEEERE Is it?"

Dante was in the bazaar buying food for him and the two others that accompanied him to this desert world. He brought three small watermelons and paid for them, while he was leaving the bazaar a group of Heartless wearing turbans and duel wielding scimitars appeared causing everyone in the market square to scatter. Calmly, Dante summoned his Keyblade and blocked just in time as one of the Heartless he named Bandits jumped and flipped through the air spinning like a saw with both of his blades in front of him. Dante swiftly countered the attack with a barrage of thundara spells which stunned it just long enough for him to smash the Keyblade into its face, the Heartless vanished and a glowing heart floats into the air before vanishing. "One down.... about five to go." He says with a smirk on his face. Two of the Bandits charged at him flailing their swords around like maniacs causing Dante to back flip into the air and land on top of a vendors stall. "Their attacks are so easy to dodge." While Dante was distracted with the two Heartless the other three went behind the stall out of Dante's field of vision and they all jumped at him at once. "oh cra-" one of the Heartless slammed into him, pushing him off of the stall and onto the ground with a thud. The Heartless is about to wail on Dante but he aimed a hand at the Heartless and fired a blizzard spell at it knocking it off of him. Dante stood up and plunged his Keyblade into the chest of the Heartless, releasing another heart. Dante threw his Keyblade at the group of heartless, slaying the rest of them and releasing their hearts. "I wonder... were those hearts go?" He muses to himself as he picks up the Watermelons, one was smashed because of the rumble. "I guess i'm going without dinner again." He says to no one. The people begin to return to the bazaar those who remained to watch the brawl clapped for him and thanked him for fighting the monsters.

Dante walked back to the streets where he and his comrades were posted and was greeted with a gruesome sight, both of them lay dead in the sand with massive wholes in their chest. "Oh god no..." Dante drops the melons as he runs over to them "This is the work of no heartless i have ever seen... This world was supposed to mildly calm with only low level heartless." A tear rolls down his cheek, he didn't know these two well but to see your brother in arms laying in the sand dead would make even the most war hardened man choke on his tears. "Who could have done this? Why would they have done this?" He moves his hand to the cheek of the female wielder and uses two fingers to close her eyes and does the same with the male wielder. "I would have loved getting to you know both of you, and i wont let this death be wasted. He doesn't want them rot in the harsh desert sun so he taps both of them with his Keyblade, causing them to be enveloped in light and their hearts to float out of their chest and into the sky. Dante stands up and see's a set of foot prints leading away from the scene and decides to follow them, hoping they would lead him to the monster that did this.

"What in the name of good, saint Nick are you doing?!"
"Get off me."
"Flattop Tunnel is comming! You stay down here!"
"Go make sure the kids aren't dead yet. I'll deal with this."

The yellow fox emerges from over the lip of the carriages roof. He draws himself to full height, his ears and fur being tugged violently by the winds.
"Tell me what use a train would be to the Dark Blades?" He said, sharply. His black hand was raising up to an odd shape behind his right shoulder. The Dark Keybarer turns, her large rimmed glasses catch the moon behind them. He hair is red and cut to shoulder length. Her grey school clothes flap around her as she draws her weapon from the air. Pounding hearts and the chuffing of the train.
"What does the Polar Express mean to you Light guys? See! We're both at it!" She sniggered, lowering into a ready stance as the train begins to climb up hill. Snow starts to shift off the smooth roof. As Tuli drew the 'Tail' from his back, his traction went. His paws slide back towards the gap between the carriages and it forced him to straddle it. One paw on either side and this woman coming straight at him with a battle scream.

The weapons smash off each other. The woman leaps the gap but continues to slide all the while the train climbs the horrifying climb to the top of the mountain. Before she could slide off, her keyblade slams into the metal roof. It cuts through the metal, digs into something before she swings around and onto the platform on the end of the train.
"Show off..." Tuli mumbles before letting his footing slip. He lands on the coupling and heads to the door. The woman stands waiting in that stance of hers.

Tuli charges first. In his down-hill sprint, he lobs the 'Tail' at her. She easily knocks that to the side but has to be very quick to catch Tuli's Keyblade as he arrives. They are locked in a tussle now, blade on blade and Tuli has the high ground. Tuli attempts to break things up with a kick to the chest but she slides backwards, pointing her weapon at him. With the extra space, she cast Aero. The force of the magic knocks Tuli upwards just as the train begins to level out again. He lands on his paws, weapon still in hand. The woman attempts to blast him back again but Tuli fights back. With a quick intake of breath, he blows flames back at her. The Aero magic hits the ploom of fire and appears to have little effect as it's consumed. It spreads and forces the woman to retreat to the end of the carriage just as the train begins its down-hill decent. With the advantage of speed, the woman attempts at frontal charge at Tuli. She zips down the space between them and slashes downwards. Her arc is broken by Tuli again and they hold that block above their heads. The first to strike is the woman. She manages to kick knee Tuli in the gut before creating space for more Aero magic. Before he can react, Tuli's been blown through the door's window and smashed into the door to the next carriage. The woman appears in the door frame in an instant. She leaps for the downed fox who tucks in his knees. He snaps a kick to her chest, launching her upwards. She smashes into the carriage roof and flips over the lip. He could here her getting up, clattering against the metal.
"Fool me twice..." He mumbles as he rolls to his feet.

"Is this the best your capable of?" She sneers, popping her shoulder back in place. She was struggling to make sure she wouldn't slip on the moving snow. All the while, a rockface was moving towards her. A gap in it's unforgiving wall looked tall enough for the train; just about...Tuli climbs the ladder to the roof again, facing this woman. In one hand is his weapon and in the other is a flame, burning in is palm like a candle.

A moments silence as Tuli and this rather geeky looking woman stare each other down. Both are watching for the next move.

Tuli leaps the gap, his blade coming down on her head. Their blades meet again then back off. Tuli swipes for her chest, she parries and lunges for him. He knocks the blade to the side with a large hit before slamming the fireball into her chest. Tuli feeds the fire before kicking her back. In a hurried panic, she takes off the grey jumper, tossing it over the side. He tries to follow up with a slash but she appears to be staring up and behind him. He notices this and sees the cliff face rushing at them. Quickly, both keybarers rush across the roof from the impending wall. But the woman has an idea. She slides in front of Tuli. She summons her weapon and points it at him.
"Oh no, you don't!" A heat glare can be seen from the fox at this point as he stops. A rising shimmer like when the sun bakes a world and vapour can be seen just over roads. A low growl comes from Tuli as the keyblade is pointed at his throat.
"Tell Hades Cydonia sent you." She said with a maniacal grin. Tuli appears to return it.
"Tell him yourself."

The snow around them both began to rapidly turn to slush. Fireballs appear in Tuli's hand. He spins on one paw, letting his long tail whip round. It latches around the woman's middle, swinging her around, off the train and back on the carriage before Tuli's with a heavy slam. He holds out a fireball at arms length, smaller flames appearing and floating around his wrist while the woman finds her feet. She summons her weapon just as the fireball explodes. Jets of flame and intense heat immobalise the woman long enough for her to smash against the cliff just above Flattop tunnel. Skin charred, clothes nearly gone and surrounded by black stone, she seemed to peel off the rock, flopping to the tracks in a heap.

Tuli's head popped out of the soft snow rapidly vanishing from around him.
"Good. No more screaming kids..."

"I-I'm sorry, it's just that I'm curious. Can you really get to Halloween Town?"

The question somewhat took Kurst off guard, and it took him a second to figure out who had asked it. After a moment or two he realized that it was the same girl he had almost fallen on to not too long before. He had to think about this one. It wasn't like people around here didn't know he was a keyblader. These people were used to keyblades. It was more like his mission was rather high priority, and that he probably shouldn't be talking about it. As he was about to answer her, he noticed the crowd was freaking out about something, though he couldn't tell what. Luckily, he saw someone he recognized from the Corp checking it out, so instead he pulled the girl into a restaurant, away from the noise and any prying ears. "Not in the state I'm in now. Need a few powerful potions before I can make a trip like that. Why? Why do you care?" Maybe he could have been more polite, but in honest truth he was too tired to courtesy.

Shiha looked down sheepishly, not wishing she hadn't asked in the first place. She then snapped back to her normal self as he pulled her into a restaurant, her eyes becoming their regular cold selves. "Well, you see, I've been looking for a way to get their for a while. Those are my origins, but I got lost about a year ago. I just really want to see that place again." She put a hand in her hip pouch and rustled through it, finally pulling out a bottle with a purple syrup-like substance in it. "In exchange, I can give you this. It's an energizer I managed to make myself." She held it out. "Do we have a deal, sir?" She knew she wouldn't like working with him since he was no doubt a Light, and she wanted to just kill him, but she wanted to go home more. Not her crappy home in the Dark's world, but her actual soul home.

Kurst eyed the energizer potion, then turned his gaze to the face of the girl in front of him. She seemed cold...distant...and being around her made him feel, well, sad. Yet, despite all that, she seemed honest. Every instinct in his character told him not to do it, but he knew that he had to accept this girl's deal. Sure, it could be poison, but he didn't think it was. For some reason, he actually trusted her, and, possibly for the same reason, he wanted to help her. "Sure. If your energizer works, at least. I'll take you to Halloweentown. My name's Edward, by the way, Edward Kurst. My friends just call me Kurst though," He said, extending his hand to shake hers.

Shiha quickly put out a hand and shook his, almost happy she had made the deal. Heck, she was happy she would be going back to her hometown. She then took his hand and put the potion into it. She didn't dare give her real name, so she quickly took one from her memory bank. "The name is Nanase Lovely. Glad we could make a deal without any violence." She almost immediately regretted those words, and hoped it wouldn't give her away. She forced a smile and nodded. "For now, I'll just follow you. Maybe I can even help with the payments since traveling worlds is such a hassle."

Kust was a bit taken back when she mentioned violence, but decided to think nothing of it for the moment. He wasn't an idiot. He was well away that there was more to this girl than she wanted him to see. Naturally, he'd be keeping an eye on her, but for now she needed him to get to Halloweentown, so she wouldn't try anything for now. Kurst drank the potion, and was surprised at how well it worked. It felt as if he had just slept for an entire night, and with the new found energy he stood up. "Well Nanase, we won't need any money. I still need to get some supplies. Meet at the castle entrance in an hour." Kurst wandered through the door back out into the market, not bothering to look back. If this chick was serious about going to Halloweentown, she'd be at the castle entrance. If not, he'd leave her and continue his mission, simple as that.

It didn't take long for Kurst to spot Ignis, next to some girl. Whatever the commotion was from earlier, it had subsided now. "Ignis!" Kurst called out happily, enjoying his new found energy. Kurst took Ignis by the hand and brought him into a brotherly embrace, slapping Ignis on the back with his free hand. "Unfortunately we must be gone before long. We need to be leaving in an hour, so whatever you need before then, get. Have you been briefed on our mission yet?"

*Ignis*
"What fruit are you talking about?" Ignis said biting into a freshly baked roll. It was heaven compared to the crap they served on the front lines. As much as he loved fighting, he preferred hanging out around the market and smell all of the freshly baked goods.

*Miriam*
"Oh, there's this fruit on the world I was just on: a big island, and they have this incredibly delicious fruit called Paupou Fruit... It looks exactly like a picture of a star. It tastes amazing, juicy, yet not juicy, and it has this delicious tang... it's simply incredible..."

She bought some bread, taking in the smell with happiness, and took a bite. "These aren't that bad either.... anyway, that fruit is pretty special: it even has it's own legend! They say that if two people share that fruit, they're destined to be together. Pretty interesting, right?"

*Ignis*
"Sounds nice. Forever, Huh? I don't believe in such a thing. I think we forge our own destiny. Coincidence is what happens. Though I won't make fun of you for believing that. Though I've got to try it for myself to see how it tastes. Different people, different tastes." Ignis said biting into another roll, "So you know my name. Would it be rude to ask yours?"

*Miriam*
"Oh, don't get me wring, I don't believe it either... but it IS a sweet idea." She said, "I'm glad there are people out there with such hopes... makes this place seem a little less.... damp. Yeah, that's the word." She said with a nod, finishing her bread, attacking the juice next

"Oh, forgive me, I WAS being rude there. I;m usually not. My name's Miriam. I;m from Twilight Town, though I haven't been there in a while. It's a lovely little town, witch is exactly why I left it. Can't have it get caught in the war."

"I'm not sure what exactly Destiny is. It could just be something someone thought of too make themselves feel better... but if it exists, then I'm going to do everything I can to find it, though I'm not really sure what it would feel like once I've discovered it. It's all one big journey, if you ask me."

*Ignis*
"Twilight Town, huh? I might have been there before once. It was for recruiting reasons. I'm from right here, Radiant Gardens. Trust me, it wasn't always such a dump. It was filled with life, happiness, and love. Though there were a couple of bad seeds here and there as it is with every world. I was one of them. Though I changed. Got my keyblade and they taught me selfdisipline and how to care for others." Igins said eating an ice cream, it was very good. Though he put hot sauce on it to keep himself warm. As much as he loved Ice cream he couldn't eat with out hot sauce.

"It is one big journey, I said to one of the younger users that a journey into a heart is rarely easy nor a pleasant one." Ignis quoted. That's when Kurst found him. "You old book worm, you. How the hell how have you been? The frontlines were exactly how I thought they were going to be chaotic and full of violence. Just they way I like it." Ignis said holding his brother in arms.

"An hour? Geez I just got back. Though you would think traveling from Traverse town would take a lot more out of me. Ah well I've always had a strong affinity for magic. Yeah, I've been briefed. I meet a higher up before I left. He said not to play around over in Halloween Town." Ignis said. He had forgotten that Miriam was standing right there. "Oh yeah, This is Miriam. A fellow Keyblade user. Though the weird thing is she hasn't picked sides yet." Ignis said the last part quiet enough so only Kurst would hear.

Shiha followed closely behind Kurst, careful not to get lost in the crowd. She looked over to the spot where she had killed the boy, seeing that the only thing left was some blood on the pavement and, for some reason, a small burn mark. A small smirk crawled across her face, her comfortable in the thought that no one would ever know it was her. Her only unlucky happening was that she couldn't kill anymore. Scratch that. There were two unlucky things: the fact that she couldn't kill anymore and that she had to interact with a Light in order to get to Halloween Town.

She broke from her thoughts as they came across two others, Kurst apparently knowing one of them. The guy was vaguely familiar, but she didn't remember from where. Her mind clicked and she suddenly recognized him. He was one of the Lights she had fought out on the front lines. He was, in fact, the reason she had had to retreat and heal for a while. She looked up and her eyes narrowed. She wouldn't be able to kill Kurst once they got to Halloween Town with that guy here. Plus there was a girl, whom she wasn't too sure of because she might side with the Lights just to survive.

She resumed her normal position and sighed, giving a small wave to the two but keeping silent. She didn't want to talk to her foes unless it was absolutely necessary. She carefully studied each of them, hoping to perhaps even find a small weakness just in case she had to run.

Kurst studied Miriam for a few moments. Cute girl, interesting way to use the keyblades…Hadn’t picked sides yet? That was an interesting notion, something he was a bit envious for. It wasn’t overly surprising though. The study of keyblades is a very interesting, and very troublesome topic because keyblades seem to both be inanimate objects as well as mindful beings. They chose their wielders, and the Keyblade Corp did its best to scoop up the newly found wielders as quick as they could. It was therefore unsurprising that they could miss a few here or there. This girl was chosen by a keyblade for some purpose, if you believed in fate. Maybe she’d find that purpose with them.

“Yeah. Halloweentown’s where we’ll start.” In his peripherals he noticed the girl from earlier had followed him. “Oh, and this is Nanase,” he pointed over his shoulder with his thumb. “Nanase, this is Ignis and Miriam.” There was that awkward silence that usually took place after introductions between complete strangers. “Right. Well. I’m going to go buy some potions and whatever else we may need for the trip. Halloween town’s a pretty good distance away. It’ll take a lot of power to get there,” Kurst sighed. “Meet me in front of the castle entrance in half an hour.”

Kurst gave the group a little wave before walking off in the direction of a stall that sold potions and medical supplies. Once again, he noticed that Shiha had followed him. “Listen, girl,” Kurst said rather coldly after buying the supplies he needed, as the two were walking towards the castle entrance. “There’s more to you than you want me to know. I get it. I was assigned to this particular mission because I’m not an idiot, so don’t try and take me for one.” Kurst leaned against the wall and pulled out a cigarette, lighting it with weak fire spell. “Just take it easy. I’ll get you to Halloween town. You’ll find what you’re looking for.” Kurst smiled and took a long drag with his eyes closed. Hopefully Ignis would be there soon so they could get the hell out of there.

Miriam walked over, “I'm Miriam. Nice to meet you two. Yeah, I haven't chosen a side yet. Haven't had a reason to. Sorry if that's weird.”

She found it to be a stroke of luck, how she had run into a few other keybladers so swiftly after she had first arrived. They all looked pretty ice, except for that Nanase person. She didn't look to happy to be here, for some reason or another.

She activated her skates, skating around to a few areas, buying some personal supplies. She bought mainly ethers. She didn't need potions, because of her skill in healing, but she's need plenty of ether, to restore her spirit energy. “So we're going to Halloween Town? That sounds like a lot of fun. What are we going to be doing there?” She asked, already planning on helping out. She had a feeling... that it was beginning: her journey.

Already, she was itching to attack her journal, wanting to tell it about the place she was in, that looked and smelled so lovely, and of the people she had already meant, and the feeling that she was on the right track. Doubtless, before she went to bed, she'd have a couple pages filled. That made her excited to no end.

While she waited for the others to complete their tasks, she browsed around some of the more useless stalls.

There was a small place where you could play games for prizes on the side: she looked at the prizes, and saw a pretty dark blue ribbon. “What's the game?” She asked, “and how well do I have to do for the ribbon?”

“Poker with these five people. 500 chips will win you that ribbon. You start out with fifty.”

She sat down next to five other men, “Deal me in.” She said. The men gave a mischievous look, and dealt her the cards.

“Royal straight flush!” She declared, laying her cards on the table. The other men looked at her with gaping mouths as she grabbed the pot. It was her turn to deal with the cards. She shuffled them expertly and, as she dealt, slipped some cards from her sleeve, that she had hidden mid- shuffle. “Full house!” She declared, taking the pot again “There, I'm done. I'd like that ribbon now.”

The men wordlessly handed it too her. “So cute...” She said, tying her hair in a pony tail, over her shoulders.

She reached the gates with little problem, and began to wait for the others to get through with their business,

...

In the short time since he left the main city, Kefka had somehow changed clothes. Instead of his jester outfit, he wore an Arabian nomad outfit, with only his eyes visible. He was humming his theme song as he was being carried by two magiteck soldiers: minions he had brought with him from his own world. He reached over, picked a grape from a bowl another solider was carrying, and ate it. Thenn, he stopped humming, and began to sing in an incredibly off key tone: “Oh Arabian Niiiiiiii-iii—iights, and Arabbian Daaaaa-aaaa—aaa-ys.... something something something. Pick up the pace!” He shouted, and the already sweating soldiers began to march faster.

They arrived at a small out-cove, “Our research indicates that;s it's somewhere around here.”

“Perfect!” Kefa shouted, whipping his slaves over there. He hopped off, and looked. “I expected a cave to be less.... I dunno, flat?” He said, staring out through the desert.

“It's under the sand, sir.” a solider said, “Supposedly, you need to travel halfway around the world to get half a piece of scarab, then travel to the very northern reaches to get the other half. Then, you put the pieces together, and run like there's no tomorrow as it leads you across the desert in order-”

“-Or I can just do this.” Kefka said, clapping his hands, placing them in the sand. There was a small earthquake before a lion's(?) mouth appeared, held up by pillars of ice. It's mouth was shut, however.

Kefka looked at it, confused, “This is the cave? How do we open the door?”

“Well, the gold scarab was supposed to do tha-” The solider began.

“Open Sesame!” Kefka shouted in a grand voice.

There was silence.

“Open Says-ME!” Kefka shouted.

Once again, silence.

Kefka took a deep breath, he clenched his fist, witch cracked with electricity, and charged straight for it, “OPEN UP, YOU GOOD FOR FODDER LUMP OF LEFTOVER NOTHING!” He shouted, striking the mouth with full force. After the punch connected, he rolled up his sleeves, and shouted, “Pole Reversal!”

There was more cackling, as the mouth began to open, as electricity reversed their magnetic poles, forcing it open.

“There, you were saying something about a scarab?” Kefka asked
“Never mind sir.”

A small voice echoed from inside, though it was weak. “Touch nothing but the lamp....”

Kefka cocked his head, “Okay, get in there... and touch everything BUT the lamp. Go on, get to work. There's metal in there that I need to make a crown for that Terra-girl. GET TO MOVING!” He shouted, lightning arcing from his hands.

As the ran into the cave, Kefka caught one solider by the shoulder. “Except you. I need a hand with something. Be honored. You get to take a nap.” Kefka said, before knocking him out cold. He grabbed his clothes, then tossed him into the cave, out of sight, and changed clothes, so that he was now wearing a guard uniform. “TRANSFORMERS! A BADDASS IN DISGUISE!” He sang before laughing again

He stood outside, pretending to be a lowly mook, humming to himself. “Should be having company soon. I didn't leave those footprints to find my way back!” He said with a laugh.

Ignis couldn't believe how easy it was to lie to Kurst to his face. To be honest, Kurst was his only true friend on the Light side. It pained him how he had to hurt him even more. They were like brothers, they knew each other before they became keybladers. Hell, Kurst even helped out a few times when he had gotten caught by the guards.

Ignis went shopping for a bit, he had some excess munny and decided it would be a good idea to blow it. So he bought some excessive stuff that he really didn't need, though he did buy a few potions. "Never know when their going to be handy." Ignis said putting them into his bag. He was walking to the castle when he spotted Miriam, she was just waiting there.

"If you want to come along with us, follow me. The plan was to wait at the castle." Ignis said walking off. When he got there he saw Kurst taking a drag of his cigarette. 'Man I haven't had one of those in a while. I could most definitively use one right now.' Ignis walked up to Kurst and leaned right next to him. "Think I could bum one off of you, mate. When I'm done we can leave." When Kurst handed him the smoke, Ignis put in his mouth. He snapped his fingers and a 2 inch flame popped out and he light his cigarette.

Evan was roaming around Guillotine Square in Halloweentown looking at all the oddities he could buy. He put his hand in his pocket, he felt around. He felt multiple coins go through his fingers, It wasn't enough for what he wanted. He was too kind hearted to pickpocket someone so he knew what he had to do. He thought to himself"Ethan...help..." He walked into a dark alley, he looked over his shoulder to make sure no one was watching. He took the earring off his left ear off, he placed it in his pocket. A few seconds later his eyes turned yellow and his smile turned into a dark...evil grin.

"About damn time you let me have some fun you damn twerp..." Ethan chuckled to himself. "Evan what do you need me for now? Any killing involved?" Ethan paced back and forth waiting for an answer from Evan. Finally he replied "No, pick pocket some people so we can have some money and get out of this place..." Evan had the sound of worry in his voice. Ethan nodded and found a way to the roof of a building, looking for easy prey.

[Only Ethan can hear Evan when Ethan is in control, Visa Versa. So it would seem Ethan is talking to himself.]

Shiha felt a bit taken back as he talked coldly to her about her hiding some info about herself, though her face always remained constant. Am I really that obvious? Great. Not only do I have to worry about accidentally saying my real name, I have to deal with the smart ass too. She crossed her arms and leaned on the wall opposite of him, gazing at him with cold stare. She then looked up. "It's not like I'm gonna hurt you." Nope, I'm gonna kill you. "I just need to Halloween Town, then we can go separate ways." Me to home, you to heaven or hell.

She then looked straight at him, right into his eyes. "Besides, I take it easy all the time. Taking it easy is my middle names. I'm just a little excited to go to Halloween Town." Lies slipped from her tongue easily as she spoke to him. She was always on her highest guard and she was super excited to go to Halloween Town. She just couldn't make a big deal of either in this situation.

Shiha turned her head, looking back at the way they had come. "I wonder when those slowpokes are gonna get here. Maybe we should just leave them behind." She had a small plan in her head with this statement. If he somehow agreed, she would have him alone. If he didn't, he would know how serious she was on getting there.

Kurst studied her a bit through the smoke which drifted up across his face. It didn’t all add up. She was dressed to kill, yet she was acting like she was trying to get to Halloween Town for vacation. Kurst didn’t think of himself as a detective, but this girl was just trying too hard. He would by no means turn his back on her. Besides, add on those facts to the fact that there is a war going on. Kurst had every reason to be paranoid about someone looking for an easy trip to Halloween Town.

“I wouldn’t leave Ignis behind. He’s my friend, and partner.” Just as Kurst was saying this, Ignis and Miriam walked around the corner, Ignis wanting to bum a smoke. Kurst allowed him to, of course. There were only a few reasons to ever deny someone a smoke, and none of them applied here.

“I’ll go ahead and make the portal. It’s a long way to Halloween Town, gonna take some serious energy.” Kurst threw the butt of his smoke to the ground, and then clenched his right hand, gathering energy. Once a sufficient amount was gathered in his hand he outstretched his arm, opening up a large black, swirling circle of energy. “That was easy enough.” Without really looking around, Kurst stepped through the portal, leaving it open for everyone else to follow.

When he emerged on the other side, it was obvious that his initial theory was correct. The place was swarming with heartless. Kurst had been to Halloween Town on assignment before, and knew Jack Skelington, the guy who ran the place. They had best find him, first. Hopefully he and the rest of the people of the town were alright. The portal opened up in the woods outside of town, so they had a little trek to take before getting there, and the heartless were beginning to notice their arrival as well.

Kurst summoned his Keyblade into his right hand. “Sometimes I hate being right,” he muttered to himself and slashed into a ghost looking heartless.

"Son of a fiery devil. Damn that's a lot of heartless. Though I will admit, This is going to be fun," Ignis said summoning his keyblade. He got himself ready with a Fira spell. He started hacking and slashing the foul creatures. Whenever someone was about to get attacked by a Heartless from behind, Ignis would blast them with his spell. Ignis relished in the heat of battle. He lived for it. As he was killing heartless, he noticed a heart would float into the air and disappear. "Interesting." Ignis said slashing at another heartless. Soon he saw one of those fat ones. He blasted it with a Fira spell and slide underneath him and started wailing on the heartless.

"Having fun yet, Kurst?" Ignis said as the fat heartless was defeated. He vanished his keyblade and started cracking his knuckles. This was too easy, Ignis had seen this really big heartless. It had almost killed him, though it was taken down in end. Just then Ignis saw one of the floating heartless, it was colored green. Ignis cursed under his breath and ran after it. He could not allow the heartless to regain health. If he allows it to live then this fight would get infinity harder.

"I sense something..." Ethan licked his lips. A small group of heartless crept up behind him as he waited. "ETHAN WATCH OUT!" Evan screamed. Ethan jumped in the air turned around, he saw the heartless on the rooftop, about five. He threw his keyblade, it cut straight through the heartless and came back. Ethan grabbed the keyblade and grinned. "Shit...I can't ride the wind..." Ethan murmured under his breath. He took out the earring and put it back on his left ear.

Evan was back in control, he casted gravity which brought him down to the ground gently. He took the earring back off and put it back in his pocket. "Ethan, back to pick pocketing." Ethan nods. "Right."

#, as written by Rarikou
She always loved traveling through the lanes between: it gave her a feeling of excitement, traveling from world to world: it was truly a rush. She skated softly, humming a small tune to herself, “Two worlds in a day: Now THAT'S exciting.' She thought to herself. "So... what we we going to do here, again?" She asked out of curiosity. Either she hadn't heardm or she hadn't gotten it memorized.

When she exited the portal, she looked around, to where the heartless were swarming the place. She could see a town in the distance, and the moon blared down on them. “That's one cool moon.” She thought to herself with a nod.

They were currently in the woody outskirts of town, were trees lay around. PLENTLY of heartless were around, witch meant, or at least she thought it meant, that this place was hot with action. “They look like trick-or-treat people, minus the candy bags.... why does such a dangerous enemy not look dangerous?” She asked.

None the less, it was kill or be killed, she knew, so she could no longer afford to think. She released her skates, and released the newly formed longsword, allowing it to float in front of her, where it began to spin. She took a deep breath, and clapped, “Thunder!”

A small thunderbolt shocked one of the heartlesss, making it go slack as the electricity spread. Miriam grabbed her keyblade, and hurled it, catching it in the chest, before reappearing on her feet.

“Hmm... not the best spell caster still... I'd cast haste, but I don't want to disrupt anyone's fighting style without permission....” She thought to herself. “Still, this is a lot of fun. Who knew that bashing these things in could be such a stress relief?”

She pushed off, tripping a zombie, stabbing the blade into it's neck as it fell. She released her skates. “Not the best field for it.” She decided. She chose to fight long sword style, and advanced at a medium walk, ducking one swing, and catching it in the chest, using the zombies own momentum to kill it.

As gracefully as she approached, she weaved in and out of another's assault. With a small smile, she released her keyblade as her back hit a tree, and ducked, as the heartless impaled itself. “As I thought. Mindless.”

“Anyone want to go a little faster?” She asked, readying her keyblade, waiting for permission to cast haste, “If any of you get injured, tell me, and ill immediately cast a cure spell."

"I smell smoke..." Ethan looked around, it was too dark to see anything. "Someone is cooking perhaps?" Evan said to keep Ethan focused. "No you ignorant fool, its wood burning not BBQ, Perhaps in the forests. I'm switching places again, you can follow the scent through the winds." Ethan put the earring back on.

"I smell it...I can cast Aero and then Zero gravity...but that can only keep us going for what, like 5-10minutes, and that's if there is a breeze." Evan sighed knowing he would get punished by Ethan if he Didn't follow it. He casted Aero and soon after casted Zero Gravity on himself, It flung him into the air. There wasn't that much of a breeze but it was a little, he headed off in the direction of the smell.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

wanna add my character please her name is Jessica monroe

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

He's passed out. Ignis is just being the main guy at the end of Kurst Dive Session. Usually at the end of the Dive you face your worst fears or a great enemy. Figured I go with Kurst worst fears.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

who the heck said Ivalice was a city? Not me.. Ivalice be the world, and it compromises of VI and XII

is that a dream ignis, or did you really dissappear?

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

I think Ranikou made it so it was a name of the world. At least that what I gathered from the OOCs that he and I shared and the posts.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

Does everyone know that Ivalice is the name of the country from Final Fantasy XII and not the name of a city?

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

Which leaves the interesting question, why the hell are you waiting for us? Ignis and Miriam are already at Ivanlace.(<-not to sure, I spelt that right.)

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

I was going to wait for either Irondude or Rarikou to post, but I can get a post again up tomorrow.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

I think this is the part where I say: Does anyone have any 5's? I really want to Finish a Go-fish game.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

Yes. What could happen is that, from Kurst's point of view, Mieli isn't there. He's in the Dive dream and then wakes up from it when it's over to Mieli barking endlessly at him.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

I can still do that. It's not a bad idea, to have a Dive sequence. I've got Kurst writing the reports, so it would make sense to have him go through that. I could do it for my next post, and just have the sequence end with Miele waking him up. Sound like a good idea?

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

Mieli's going to turn up at Kurst's room. I was planning to suggest that your last post may have been a premonition similar to the ones that open both Kingdom Hearts games. Like an induced version of fighting a giant heartless on the stain glass windows of Dive to the Heart as it appeared to be such a random event that had next to nothing to do with anything else before hand as far as I know that it seemed like it should be one that the Dark Blader caused perhaps.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

Ok, got a post up. It's long, but I had to catch up to everyone. I also started Kurst down the path of searching out the Mestari.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

Man, it says I've been a member for one year, but I joined Christmas Day. WTF?? Wait, Kefka? Damn it thats gonna be an amazing fight. Maybe Kurst and Ignis could have one last fight together before they go their separate ways. Then Ignis could smoke Kursts cigarette. Or wait to smoke it before their last fight. Either way, Kurst is gonna be involved with the cigarette.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

its not a problem

Miriam and Ignis are in Narshe, and I plan on accompanying Terra and Locke To Figaro, where Kefka was heading in the last post. It would be a good meet up/ fight there

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

Hey guys, sorry I've been a bit absent. Had to move back into college, so things have been a bit hectic. I can't tonight, but I'll post tomorrow.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

He's about as sane as an alligator wrestler with no arms. Or as sane as Sephiroth at the end of FF7. Though to be honest he was pretty sane.

Edit: Me and Rarikou are done posting through PMs, for the time being. We felt that we needed more interaction with the other players. So don't think any of this is anyone's fault. Remember, We need to keep the Bare Necessities the simple bare Necessities of life. You'll get the joke when I post the rest of the PMs.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

th only one who refers to Miriam as a goddess is Genesis... and we all know how sane HE is.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

All right then but prepared to get laughed at by Mieli if she mentions the whole Goddess thing. Just a heads up.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts: Keyblade Eternity

im not sure i understand the question... it's kinda worded strangely. Sorry,,,,

If your asking what I THINK you're asking, i WOULD like to meet up a couple of you guys, I might have Miriam go to ivalice in a little while.
