xxxEver since he was a child Nate has always been selfiess. Even though he may not have the most intimidating demeanor Nate will always step in to help someone in need, regardless of their stature or argument. When he sees someone in need he just simply helps, this characteristic was a large part of why he wanted to become a doctor in the first place. For him it just simply felt right.

Nate has also always been very patient with others. Especially from dealing with so many unruly patients he understands the need for someone to take time to go over something, and he has always been very good at giving people the time they need. He has a rather strong ability to not push others to their limits or push their buttons, but rather make them feel comfortable. A known skill for patients, people just tend to feel comfortable even safe around Nate just due to his helpful and kindred nature.

While he is a very caring individual, he's still human (for the most part) and ever so often just has to take a break from the bustling world around him. This has led him to have little episodes of 'brooding' to where he's not necessarily stubborn in nature but rather distant from others. He never means it in a malicious way or even intends it to happen, he almost just loses a bit of his personality. In a way, he almost retreats back into his shell (especially when he fails) and closes himself off to others.

While Nathaniel can always be labeled somewhat of an introvert he will always be there for others, and never shys away from placing himself in front of danger for them. A quiet mind but a kind heart.

xStrengths; Nathaniel is especially skilled at healing others, even without his powers. His background at Yale has led him to be quite smart and adaptable to high-stress situations which he is quite good at. Working under pressure is a complete breeze for Nathaniel and he has never had a problem with it. Again, Nate is also a very caring and patient person which leads him to be a stable friend and companion for others, he is a person that is easy to trust and rely on. Nathaniel is also just all around a very hard worker.

Weaknessess; Nate is selfless, he'll do anything to protect those he cares about and will lay anything down to protect them. He'll run into the middle of chaos just to save someone's life no matter the consequences upon himself. He'll also never turn down the chance to heal someone even if the pain is unbearable. Nate is all too open-hearted and trusting when it comes to strangers. He always believes the best and people and this can sometimes be a problem. Nate by no means is strong, in the physical sense and most definitely wouldn't win a fist fight if he was up against someone else.

Fears; Nate is afraid that there will come a day when it's too late for him to save someone. It's quite possibly his biggest fear and worry. Nate has been deathly afraid of heights, ever since he was a child. Nate is also terrified of confined spaces, this comes from a rather traumatic experience from his child. When he was little his older brother, Marco, trapped him in their little cupboard for about two hours until their parents came home. He had nightmares about the experience for months and the fear has stuck with him since adulthood.

xxBiokinesis; Nathaniel can manipulate healing and the healing process, speeding any or all aspects of healing to the point of regenerating, or slowing and blocking healing. He can sense the health of anyone and the causes of wounds, diseases or injuries, the health history and possibly even genetic weaknesses and predispositions that a person may contain. Nate not only can heal others but himself as well, being able to regenerate and heal wounds. Nate can do anything that normal healing would do, simply accelerated. As for limitations go Nate's are quite distasteful. For one, he can only heal someone by touch, he can't heal a person's wounds from far away or even if he stands right next to them. There has to be contact or his powers won't work. Another is that Nate heals others through wound transferal, which means the wounds of those he heals are then inflicted on himself. Larger wounds take him longer to heal which prove to be difficult and painful process for himself, but that never stops him from helping someone. Just because Nate can heal doesn't mean he's immune to the idea of pain, although his pain tolerance is quite high from having to stomach himself through so much of it. Unfortunately, Nate cannot bring back the dead, the person has to have some shred of life left for him to be able to heal.

xxxNathaniel was born to a very large and close family in Mullen, made up mostly of Italian Immigrants. The Bianchi's were a very tight-knit as close group of people, who loved family time more than anyone. Nate was the youngest of two brothers and two sisters, making him the most vulnerable to their constant pestering and bullying. This made Nate rather close to his mother and father rather than his siblings. It was a rather loud and annoying household for the majority of his life as Nate always enjoyed the quiet side of life.

His teen years weren't much of a struggle as he was often unnoticed among his peers. Of course he had a nice group of friends, but for the most part he just tried his best to stay out of the spotlight. Fortunately for Nate, what he lacked in the social aspect he made up for with his mind. He was a very intellectual individual and this was a huge help for him in getting into college. He was overjoyed the day he found out he had been accepted into Yale, his dream school and escape.

College life was just hard for Nate. Countless hours of studying and shadowing gave him bags under his eyes and a prevalent five O'clock shadow on his face. However, the hard work really built his character, and he started to shy away from his antisocialness and became a loving and passionate individual. He graduated with flying colors, and after careful consideration decided to move back to Mullen and start his own practice.

As an adult, he lived a rather quiet and content life. Having only graduated from Yale, he has only been back in Mullen for a couple of years and the town hasn't changed much since he left it. While he is grateful for his job and being close to his parents, the boring Nebraskan town and lack of companionship is starting to damper him as a person. However, for the sake of his parents and himself he has maintained a rather happy attitude.
