Chech Yeuk

"I hope you don't mind a thirty-five pound snow leopard on your person."

a character in “Living in the Shadows”, as played by Skwidge

Description

Chech Yeuk

Image

Nickname: Chicha, but only really close friends occasionally call her that.
Positon: Pureblood
Age: 20, but looks to be three or four years younger.
Species: Vampire
Height: 5' 6''
Other:
Chech has a bloodtype of O+, but rarely allows anyone to touch her with any feeding intentions. Her ability is animal shape-shifting, and uses it to its full advantages. She also usually has feather earrings on, and she adores anything with long sleeves to hide her hands in- just a queer thing she’s found she really loves to do.

She has a strange liking to human food- especially gelatin- and just finds the authenticity of it fascinating.

She has amber eyes with pale blue flecks and dark brown hair with lighter, almost chocolate brown, highlights. She usually wears her hair in a semi braided fashion, her bangs nicely framing her face. Her build is lithe and she has fairly nice curves and an almost perfect amount of muscle. She has slightly tanned skin and usually a grin on her face. She's considered underweight by human standards, but it's perfectly healthy for her.

Mate: None
Ownership Category

None.
Sexuality: Straight.

Personality: Chech is extremely mischievous, and really loves just making other people and herself laugh. She has a light-hearted view on life, seeing it as fun and something to enjoy- much different than many vampire’s feelings towards immortality. She has more of a childish nature, but is still very mature. She has zero care for what other people might think of her, and will do whatever she should please-of course, within reason- and isn’t really fazed by discipline or a baring of fangs. This is especially true considering that she is a pureblood.

Chech really doesn’t mind other bloods, and enjoys any kind of company- Pure-blood, Changeling, Hybrid- it doesn’t matter to her. What she really goes off of are the scents the person gives off. However, if someone is rather mean, she tends to stay away from them and bother someone else.

She’s a cheerful individual, and always like popping in at random moments to say ‘hi’ whenever she can. It’s even better when she gets to interrupt a serious conversation. It’s all with good intentions, and it’s never meant in a rude or unpleasant way. She can be easily persuaded to leave with a simple question. If she’s close to someone, she might not leave and give a fake pout instead just to try to get a laugh or a grin.

Chicha likes to over-exaggerate whenever she makes a fault in order to make light of the situation, and she’s pretty easy to get along with if you don’t mind her somewhat assertive actions on occasion.

Stevey Valamun

The young boy walked close by his mistress’s side, his eyes somewhat wide by being introduced to so many unknowns in one sitting. But if the mistress should like going to clubs, he could definitely do his best to enjoy it too- or at least not make a scene.

It came as a relief when she decided to head back to an area less populated by bodies, and he reflected on how kind she was compared to so many others he had seen. As she reclined into the couch, he settled down next to her, sitting cross legged- almost close enough to touch her, but still a few inches respectively away.

Stevey gaze at Mistress Emma, and a soft smile tweaked the corners of his lips up a small bit. “If you’d like to go do something, feel free to do so. I think I’ll be fine right here.” He nodded slightly to himself, almost as if he were reassuring his own mind than hers. Yes, he’d be fine. He knew what to do if threatened as well.

She seemed to turn her head to look at him, once more making sure his person was unharmed and still nearby. He truly felt safe near this vampire, despite his usual unease towards many. She then smiled at him, to which he once more returned the content gesture.

“I really do think I’ll be fine. Don’t worry too much about me, I want you to have fun and do what you need to do.” He tentatively poked her very gently on the arm before withdrawing his hand to sit clasped in his lap, a reassuring look to his eyes. He didn't want his mistress to forever be worried about him and keep her from doing what she wanted to do.

Chech Yeuk

Gleaming eyes peered through the darkness of the night, a slender form twitching against the ground. Chich blinked a few times, a cattish grin on her feline face. She trotted over to the door of the nightclub, and slipped in when another body opened it.

Tall ear flicking, the long-haired dark smoky grey feline sat back near the door, tail once more twitching against the ground as she gazed around the floors. The lights were bright and the music loud. There was a ridiculous amount of scents- both human and vampire.

Of course.

An internal smirk pressed just behind her lips as her gaze fixed on a serving boy holding a platter of food. Chicha rose from her seated position and immediately stalked her way towards him. Threading between his legs when he didn’t expect it, he obviously tripped over her, sending the platter flying quite a few feet ahead while he smacked against the floor.

A snicker pressed past Chech’s lips, and she darted to the fallen dishes. She picked out a rather slimy anchovy and carried it within her mouth cheerfully. Her eyes soon found two familiar faces, and her paws began to work upon the surface of the floors as she trotted over to them, rather unseen.

She paused at the legs of the stool Genesis was sitting on, and in one smooth motion leapt up to his lap. She immediately opened her mouth, releasing the slimy fish onto his pretty pants. She smiled ever so innocently up at him. “I brought you a present, Gen-kun!” Her voice was peppy and upbeat, marred only by her form. After she spoke, she immediately hopped into Zane’s lap, a small purr rumbling through her form to travel to his legs for a moment before it was cut off. She lounged across his legs, opening her mouth in a large yawn.

Rather large fangs presented themselves with the open mouth. They could be compared to a saber tooth, though they somehow managed not to show outside of her mouth unless she specifically wanted them to. On such a cat as she was, it would be rather unsettling to most humans.

Genesis

Genesis sighed briefly as he heard Zane speak of his loss of interest in the club. It was times like this when Genesis truly remembered just how young Zane was, the teen had the attention span of a nat. When he felt the pressure of the other's head on his shoulder, the older vampire smiled a bit. Shaking his head, Genesis lifted a hand to pat the younger's cheek affectionately. "I can tell, it doesn't seem as though anything interesting is going on though." He grinned broadly as he brought the hand that had been petting Zane down to the other man's thigh. "You know, you're always welcome to come and spend the night at my place." He offered teasingly.

Something distinct filled his nose and Genesis did not like it at all. Something feline if he could decipher it correctly. The sound of breaking glasses and a cluttering platter against the floor reached his ears before the scent of fish began to wafer towards him. Frowning, Genesis noticed a small bump against his leg and before he could look down something heavy jumped into his lap and dropped a disgusting fish onto his nice clean pants.

The ancient vampire was deathly quiet for his moved to glare intensely at the cat that had moved to sit in Zane's lap. His pupils turned to slits in anger at both the anchovy and the use of 'Gen', both of which Chech knew he hated. Abruptly he reached out, slapping the cat upside the head hard, no matter how silly it may have looked to outsiders who didn't know the shape-shifting vampire.

"Shove your present, that is just nasty!" He yelled angrily as he stood, slamming a twenty down onto the bartop. "And do not call me Gen." Childish as this outburst was, it provided his an excuse to leave the club and finally feed.

Moving closer to Zane he kissed the other man on the cheek. "Offer still stands, my door will be open." Genesis whispered against Zane's skin. He placed a hand onto the younger male's shoulder, letting his fingers drag over his body with feather light touches as he walked away. "Goodbye, Chech." Genesis said in departure from the feline woman before making his leave from the club.

Getting home wouldn't take him too terribly long. The building he owned was large and spacious, its day-time purpose was a design agency ranging from clothing to company logos. The subfloors underneath the company were used by him as a living space, large and luxurious, like an underground mansion. Either way, the tight security knew who was to be allowed in and who wasn't, so if Zane did manage to find his way there, either to crash or to finally take Genesis up on his offer, he'd have no problem getting in. So Genesis hailed a taxi and headed home.

The feline’s ears flicked boredly towards Genesis’ glare, another yawn blatantly being made to show she had no care towards any threatening stance made by him. However, what she didn’t fully expect was for him to hit her. Her form suddenly tensed, and her eyes obtained a harsh ebb to them, almost glowing from rage.

Chech’s head tilted fractionally, her right eye shifting back to stare at his form with a death glare. She was about to get up and go all smack down with him when she felt Zane’s hand lightly on her head where she had been hit, and her form relaxed once more. Her nostrils flared for a moment before she blinked again.

“It’s quite rude to not accept a gift. I went out of my way to get you that, you know.” She tucked a paw lazily under her chest, her tail flicking against Zane’s knee, a pouty tone to her voice. But she shrugged, showing that she would not call him Gen anymore. She looked up with a slightly irritated blank expression as he moved close to Zane. But when he made a goodbye to her, she definitely knew she’d need to do the same. He was fun after all.

“Bye Ginny!” She called cheerfully, her eyes lighting up with laughter.

“You still like me, right Zane?” Her pupils dilated till only a thin ring of her amber eye color showed. She pulled in her lower lip just a bit and stuck out her tongue fractionally, her ears tilting back a few centimeters- an adorable face, to be sure.

Stevey Valamun

His head shifted down a bit, a look of comical distaste showing on his face as his hair was ruffled up. However, he still grinned, showing that he truly didn’t mind her doing it. She of course knew this already, considering she did it so often. At least she didn’t kiss him this time.

A small huff of air escaped his lips, and he looked up at his mistress. “I will.” He said simply, looking around again. He was momentarily caught off guard when pressure to his right appeared, and he tilted slightly towards the stranger.

He looked to his right, and immediately categorized the female as a vampire. His form tensed with apprehension and expectant fear, until he realized he actually didn’t feel as uneasy or fearful as he thought he had. His left eyebrow shot up in wonder of the strange woman. Nonetheless, he still shifted closer to his mistress, subtly showing that he belonged to someone- someone who could easily protect him. It was just something he did every single time when he was approached by someone new.

He did not speak out, rather, he let his mistress decide if this person was friend or foe. However, he felt that she wasn’t a threat, and he couldn’t tell if that frightened him more than if she were. He still didn’t know a lot about vampires.

However, his attention was suddenly drawn away by a loud crashing noise towards the front of the club. It appeared that a serving man had tripped over. His eyes caught a small shifting on the floor from where the man had fallen. It looked like
 a cat?

He bit his lower lip softly before returning his focus back to the two next to him.

Zane did have a small attention span, and he was well aware of that, but he was a fun lover...so as long as he was having fun, he wasn't bored. It all seemed to work fairly well when it came down to it. He smiled slightly when his cheek was patted. Genesis always showing affection...

It was funny really how much it didn't bother him at all, even when his hand was suddenly on his thigh, and he just chuckled at the offer he was given. The ironic thing was that he would probably end up at Genesis' anyway, especially after the fight that he was going to have with his father when he got home...

He sighed though at the actions that transpired. He knew Chech was going to piss him off with her actions, he just hadn't quite seen how badly. Granted, his friend was already hungry, had a dislike of fish, and had been called 'Gen'. This was all a very bad mixture of things to happen in one sitting.

He winced slightly at Genesis' anger. It was a rare thing, and he much rather preferred the calm version of his friend. He was actually almost depressed when he got kissed on the cheek, and pouted to prove that fact. He hated being left alone after having company...especially company as entertaining as Genesis' presence. He shivered ever so slightly though as Genesis' fingers dragged over his body. He had always been a sucker for those feather light touches. Which was ironic because he had a body that could endure almost anything and it was the insanely simple stuff that got to him...

He sighed softly as he ran his fingers through his hair and checked the time. He'd probably depart before too long as well. It was an early night for him, but that meant he could still get his ass torn into by his father for missing that meeting and make it back to Genesis' before the sun rose...

His attention was then again stolen by the cat on his lap, and he sighed dramatically. "I tolerate you, Chech." That wasn't particularly true. Of all the vampires in his rank she was the only one he actually liked. She had an interesting sense of humor he enjoyed...on most nights.

He smelt Rose before he ever saw her, taking a seat next to him as elegantly as ever. He really actually wasn't thirsty, but Zane was one to indulge, and it wasn't like he couldn't afford her. He felt a smile quirk up as the girl murmured in his ear, and slid his eyes over to her.

He was about to agree to a drink when suddenly she was telling him to wait, and for the second time in the last handful of minutes he was kissed on the cheek. He sighed and sat back, thinking that perhaps he should be making his exit, when Rose began to sing.

Well...she did have quite a sexy little voice so...he supposed staying to listen wouldn't hurt.

Emmaline Cho

Emmaline just smiled as she saw that look of distaste on Stevey's face. It wasn't the first time, and she knew it wouldn't be his last. But that grin on his face told her that he really didn't mind. He was just so cute sometimes...she was really having a hard time not covering his cheeks in kisses.

Her attention had been turned towards the human girl singing then, and while Emmaline herself didn't prefer female donors, she was too hungry to be particularly picky that night. But she still smiled slightly when Stevey spoke again. Yeah, he knew how that worked. She could hear him miles away...he wouldn't even have to call her loudly if he needed her.

She immediately noticed when he tensed though, and looked over again to see the reason why. A woman had joined their area, vampire...most likely a changling because she didn't seem to hold herself as the pure-bloods did.

Emmaline didn't know the girl, but she seemed pretty young, and soft around the edges. Though looks could be wildly deceiving, she didn't particularly feel threatened herself. Still, when Stevey shifted closer to her she absentmindedly rested her hand on his knee. It was almost ironic how simple the two little movements were, and yet they spoke volumes.

She nodded slightly towards Stevey, signaling that she herself didn't feel as if the new presence was threatening, but still she felt even less inclined to leave his side now than she did earlier. She didn't like vampires around him...at all. Vampires with pets understood that feeling...even those that weren't kind.

Her attention was grabbed the same as his was towards the crashing, but then she settled back in her seat and turned her eyes towards the singer.

Chech’s head was tilted up and her eyes focused intently on his face as actions occurred around him. She blinked, her ears swiveling ever so slightly as his facial features shifted. She outstretched a paw and flexed it on his thigh, a small purr rumbling through her form.

”I tolerate you, Chech.” Chech looked straight up at him, and flashed him a cattish grin. “Awww, I tolerate you too, Zane~” She tilted her head to bump against his stomach and rest there for a moment- a show of affection. However, it was rather plain to them both that she was way fonder of him than her comment implied. She fully enjoyed his company, and rather liked being near him.

She pulled her head back to its natural position, and retucked her paws under her chest, another purr rumbling through her body. Her attention, however, was soon stolen by the donor reappearing by Zane’s side. She smirked, wondering if she had even noticed her at all. ’Humans can be sooo oblivious.’ She thought to herself with a mischievous grin.

Her singing was rather loud to her, though it was somewhat pleasant. Her ears tilted back at her tone, rather disliking the way she put herself before him. To most high class people, it was rather obvious that what she had said, albeit innocent and naĂŻve, could actually be seen as impudent.

Chech’s back legs tensed a bit, quite a few enjoyable plots running through her mind at the expense of this donor. But since Zane appeared to like her, her nostrils flared slightly. Instead, she’d see if she could throw the girl off a bit.

“Meow.” The cat’s head tilted up to stare at the girl in the face, a somewhat blank animal face playing across her features. Should the girl decide to approach her- that is if she didn’t know it was Chech- she’d be getting a rather nasty surprise. Of course, if she kept her distance, all would be well and dandy. For the time being, anyway.

Now, whether Zane would decide to ditch the girl or stay, Chech would probably wait on him either way. She had already decided that she’d probably walk with him quite a ways. She had little better to do on this particular night, and found having company would be pleasant enough.

Zane shook his head, amused at Chech's comment. Contrary to popular belief, he did really like the girl, and quite enjoyed her company. She was really the only one who understood his sense of humor.

He liked cats too, so while she sat on his lap he did actually pet her, scratching behind her ear and such. When Rose returned, he was actually going to turn her down on her offer, but then she'd moved her hair over to her shoulder and...

He sighed softly, knowing that he was going to give in. Rose had a little bit of a power over her. "Alright, but I have to bite and dash tonight. I have a lot to deal with..." He stood up, holding Chech in one hand, then leaning forward to just brush his lips against the human girls. He enjoyed the way she tasted...

"How much for just a snack?" He asked, because generally he was a heavy drinker, but he really did need to get going...

Chech yawned, watching the display between the two before her. She smiled only cheerfully as he held her in one arm. She looked up without any amusement as he leaned forward towards her face. It wasn’t that she disliked the donor, nor the fact that Zane liked to play with her, but rather that he took her forward with him a few fractions.

The scent that the girl had decided to wear on that particular night was rather unpleasant to the feline, whose sense of smell was only heightened by her form, and she coughed silently, her body shaking once from the action.

Thankfully, it was short-lived and Zane, after the donor decided that his snack would be free, set her down on the barstool. Chech immediately sat down on her rump and watched as he pierced her skin and her blood smell seeped forth. Chech, however, was far from hungry, and in any scenario would have disliked being close to that scent.

Once the boy finished, and unfortunate for her, the girl shifted just somewhat and Chech leaned forward to poke Zane, as he did apparently have somewhere to be, but instead was met with the girl’s strong scent.

And this time she sneezed.

Ah, the wonders and unsteadying fact of cat snot- all over the donor’s shirt hem and partly her stomach. Chech looked up at her with only the innocence that an animal can possess when doing something somewhat vile, and then shook her head harshly to regain her normal stance- as most animals do after sneezing.

Once the little act played out between the three, she meowed at Zane with a rather bored tone, reminding him that he had somewhere to be. Somewhere she’d probably be going as well. Once he departed from the establishment, she would follow closely at his heels.

Zane sighed as he licked one last traveling bead off the woman's neck. He was a clean drinker, so usually he could stop the wound from bleeding too bad, but every once and awhile there was one last drop that wouldn't stay put.

He licked his lips as he leaned back, enjoying her taste, then frowned at Chech as the cat sneezed on his favorite little donor. Cat snot was annoying, but at least it wasn't thick. Still, he handed Rose a napkin and kissed her on the cheek, then was interrupted by Chech's meow. “I'm really sorry, Rose. But I can't stay.”

He turned away from her then, grabbing his jacket off the back of the chair he had been sitting on and throwing it over his shoulder. “I assume you're going to follow me?” he asked Chech with a raised eyebrow. He really didn't care, he just knew he was about to get torn a new one when he got home.

He grabbed his glass off the bar, took one last drink just to get a little affect of the alcohol with the blood he'd so recently drank, then took off out the doors. He walked home, he didn't particularly mind it, and unfortunately enough it only took him around twenty or so minutes to do it.

Alarick Kostantine

Alarick cursed under his breath as he washed the blood off his hands in the never used kitchen sink. He had almost left that room out of the house plans originally, but there did happen to be one too many humans frequenting his home to quite do so.

Now, he was glad it'd stayed, it was really the only room he could use for this kind of activity.

Sitting at the dining table behind him was a small seventeen year old girl, with light blue eyes and lavender hair. She was meek, mistreated, and most likely damaged. He really couldn't think of a better pet for his son.

He sighed as the nights events came rushing back to him. It'd started out fairly normal: Fight with Zane, demanding he attend the meeting in a few hours, attending said meeting alone and looking like a fool, then...having to deal with some problems, namely Loki.

It was only an hour before sunrise and his damned son still wasn't home.

He scrubbed more angrily at the blood on his arms. He had known Loki owned a pet and he'd forgotten about it. The meeting wasn't supposed to go as it did, though. He'd actually had ever intention in keeping Loki alive but...disagreements were disagreements, and action had to be taken.

Loki had actually been his friend, but he was causing too much trouble. Their world revolved around secrecy, and Loki was like a walking, blinking sign of what they were with the way he was walking around murdering people.

Loki just wouldn't see reason. It was almost as if he was begging Alarick to kill him. And that was exactly what he did. Now, he was left with a burden—the damned pet. Except on the ride home he'd come to a conclusion: Zane needed to learn some responsibility.

He turned off the water as he grabbed a hand towel to dry his hands. Otherwise, he was completely free of any traces of the nights events.

The young pet, however, was covered in blood that was not her own.

The young feline smiled amiably at the boy, only flashing him a look that said: ‘But of course.’ She hopped down after him, her feet once more padding against the ground as she trotted behind. Once they were out the doors, she had already been walking right next to his ankles. A smirk flickered across her countenance, and she looked up at him as they walked.

“I have no plans for tonight, so I’ll probably be tagging along for the whole ride, unless of course you and only you decide to force me away. It’ll probably lessen the blow if I’m there. Maybe; then again, your father can be rather unpredictable at times.” She didn’t pause even for a second, speaking as freely as she so desired.

Chech squinted faintly as she looked up at the lightening sky, and then returned her gaze to him. “So, what lovely plans do you have in response to your father?” A cattish smile alighted on her face, and a look of mischief sparked across her eyes. It’d be interesting to see if he just took the yelling or if he would try to defend himself.

It wasn’t so much for her entertainment- she honestly did want to be there to help in any way she could or soften the blow. But obviously, there was value in it anyway.

Zane shook his head slightly at the cat as he walked with his hands in his back pocket as she trotted behind him. He walked at a pretty regular pace, knowing she could keep up. She stayed close to his feet though, so he just made sure not to trip over her.

"My father is going to be pissed off on a whole new level tonight," Zane admitted. He knew he was string the pot of shit already, he just kept making it worse and worse too. "So I guess it's all up to you rather you want to stick around or not."

He was quiet for a moment as he thought about her question. Usually he was a fairly rebellious little boy, but he wasn't really planning on it tonight. He finally just shrugged. "Let him yell for about half an hour then hall ass back to Gen's and stay there for the day."

It'd probably disappoint her a little, he had to admit, because she was all about mischief. He just didn't really feel in the mood. Honestly, he was tired.

Chech rolled her eyes at his explanation, remaining right where she was as she walked. “It was only a simple meeting you missed, I don’t know why your father is going to be so pissed off about it. Then again, I’m free from having to attend unless I want, so eh.”

She blinked before twitching her ear. “Nah, I’ll stay with you; probably up till the point where you get to Ginny’s, if you can even slip out.” She smirked, one fang slipping past her lips as her facial expression made its appearance. She enjoyed the new nickname she had dubbed Genesis with.

Chech shook her fur out, suddenly shifting her form as she did so. Legs became elongated, and her snout became much more prominent while her tail became much fuller. She had become rather tired with having to take so many steps to match Zane’s, even though she could keep up with him, she had decided to mould into a wolf, loping at his side.

Her ears swiveled to and fro, taking in all the new sounds and vibrations that flowed forth. Parting her mouth slightly, her tongue lolled out into the morning air. She remained rather silent for the time being, figuring that they were nearing his house anyway and that they had little more to talk about.

Alarick Kostantine

The young pet was the jumpy type. He had no doubt that she had been abused by her previous master. Not that Alarick himself was against the tactic of using fear to control people or things, but sometimes he felt respect was a much better option.

However, with this certain pet, he doubted such a thing would ever be an option. Not that it matter, she wasn't his pet anyway. She was going to be Zane's, and Zane could do whatever he wished with her. So long as he understood the responsibility needed to own her.

Her shower was long, but it didn't particularly bother her given that his damned son was still not home. When she finally stepped out he eyed her with disinterest. He should have known the only female clothing in the home would belong to Zane's wide line of sluts over the years, but he was surprised she'd ended up somewhat modest despite the issue. He nodded to her finally, with a muttered 'very well', and lead her back to the living room where he sat her down on one of the plush couches.

Normally he would never allow a pet to sit on the furniture, but this was a special occasion.

Zane Kostantine

Zane nodded in agreement with what she said, it was only a simple meeting, but it was much more complicated than that. “The meeting was about Toxin,” he muttered, more to himself than anyone else. Chech was one of the few people who actually knew he'd been behind getting the illegal drink on the market.

“I probably should have gone just to see what they were thinking to try do against it. Insider intel and all. But daddy dearest wants me to be the young poster boy behind the movement.” His nose scrunched in distaste at the very idea. “He's trying to salvage my reputation. I think it's too far gone.”

He looked down at her for a moment as her ear twitched. For some reason the movement caught his attention. “Trust me, I can slip out,” he muttered. There was no way he was going to stay home. He rolled his eyes a bit at the new nickname for their friend though and looked up at the sky. He was cutting it close. His skin was already itching, complaining that the sun would be up soon.

He shook his head in slight amusement as she suddenly formed into a wolf, then turned down towards his home. “Time to face the music.”

Alarick Kostantine

“I'm home.”

Alarick frowned at the sound of his sons voice, always so blank and empty. Boredom radiated from it. He looked back at the young girl sitting on the couch. “Do not move.”

Then he took a step forward and looked on as Zane dropped his jacket on the coat rack by the front door. His eyes flickered momentarily to the large wolf at his side. Yeuk. He ignored her presence.

“Where were you tonight?”

Zane looked up at him for a moment, then his brow furrowed as he stepped to the side to get a good look at Feronia. “Who's this?”

He could hear her heartbeat, a little too fast. She was scared...or nervous...probably both...

Alarick folded his arms across his chest. “None of your concern yet. Where were you tonight?”

“Out,” Zane finally snapped.

Alarick's anger raised. “You know how important this meeting was for you, Zane! How can I help you repair the damage you've done if you won't even meet me half way!?”

“I don't want to repair it!” Zane yelled. It was very, very rare for him to ever lose his temper. But something about his father just naturally pissed him off.

Alarick straightened up, his eyes narrowed. “You don't have a choice, boy. I will cut you off. You will never touch my money.”

Zane had already turned around, grabbing the jacket he'd just recently put down. He laughed at the words that came out of Alarick's mouth and turned around with an amused smile. “It's not your money, father. It's grandfathers money. And I'm not sure he would agree with that statement.”

Alarick froze. Zane had a point, and he knew his son had won. Zane knew it too, there was a large smirk on his face. The elder Kostantine had a soft spot for the youngest. Zane was like the child the old man had never had a chance of being. Carefree. Fun loving. A trouble maker.

After a few beats of silence, Zane's smirk only grew as he threw his jacket over his shoulder again and reached for the door handle.

“Where are you going?”

Genesis'. “Out,” he replied once again and pulled the door open. He only got about two inches before it was suddenly slammed shut again. His father had moved at Vampire speed, holding the door with his hand.

“Take your pet with you.”

Zane gritted his teeth. Pet? That's who the human was. “I don't want a pet.”

“Too bad. Maybe she'll teach you something.”

His eyes narrowed and then flickered towards the window again. Nineteen minutes before sunrise. He shoved past his father, looked at the girl sitting on the couch, and said angrily. “Well get off your ass and come over here. You best hurry too.”

Normally, he would have been nicer. But he was on a tight time schedule. If the little bitch was slow he'd never make it to Gen's on time.

Chech remained at Zane’s side, her ears perked forward and alert as his father approached. For now her tail remained in a rather neutral position, and she looked on with interest. She hardly cared as to being ignored, it allowed her much more freedom within his household if he did.

Her gaze shifted over to the girl sitting on the couches, her mouth parting with a huff of air before returning to normal breathing. This girl would definitely be a new play thing- or at least far enough to gain information and see her breaking points. Fear radiated off of her, as well as the subtle scents of soap and a certain
rawness to her. It lingered on her skin, and Chech’s eyes narrowed.

She most certainly wasn’t vampire, and her posture ruled out being a donor. A half grin made its way onto her features, and the pure blood relaxed to her haunches. It was interesting, considering that Mr. Kostantine never allowed the likes of pets in his house, or at least hasn’t owned one for as long as she had grown- somewhat- close to him.

Her attention returned to the heated conversation, and Chech couldn’t help but chuckle internally a bit. However, when his father asked where he was going, the girl’s ear swiveled at Zane’s remark. A small snarl rippled through her throat at the sound of the door slamming so loudly and so close to the boy’s hand.

“Take your pet with you.” At the Kos’s remark, Chech couldn’t help but let her tail swish against the floor in high amusement. Her ears swiveled back and forth between the two as the argument continued.

But as Zane agreed to it, Chech let out a loud bark of laughter. The pet, going to Ginny’s? What a joke. What would she even do there? No doubt she’d be harassed to high heaven. Oh, she’d definitely be coming along.

Once more the wolf rose from her position and stood readily at Zane’s side, head tilted down and mouth open as she stared up at the girl on the couch. Her fangs protruded from her parted lips, eagerly awaiting the trip to Ginny’s house. But the girl quickly rose and scurried close to him. A warning growl slipped past her lips, and her tail stiffened as well.

Zane looked down at the small teen for half moment, thanks to his telepathy he could hear her thoughts. She was trying, poor girl, and he appreciated that. At least she wouldn't slow him down. He looked up at his father one last time with a raised eyebrow. Finally, the older male backed off, and he ripped open the door, stepping outside.

He reached down to scratch Chech between her ears as his eyes shot towards the sky one last time. He was really pushing his time limit. He hadn't thought to expect there being a pet involved when he was timing things out.

He motioned for the girl to follow him, knowing that she would, then flagged down one of the limos. He would've rather taken a cab but...the limo's were tinted, and it was enough room to fit them all with breathing room.

He opened the door for the girls on his own just to prove to the driver that he was in a hurry, and followed after them, rattling off Genesis' address with strict orders to make it before sunrise. He sat back against the plush seats as he reached over to pet Chech once more. He couldn't help it...whenever she was in animal form he always had a tendency to want to love on her.

Well...that was interesting...He shared, using his gift because he really didn't want to talk out loud. His eyes swiveled over to settle on the human sitting in front of him. She was actually pretty cute in an odd way. Not quite his type given that...well, human wasn't his type.

They were in front of Genesis' large company building soon and it was really only then that he realized Chech was still with him. He groaned at that, but got out anyway because he was running out of time and his body was demanding he find some sunlight free shelter.

“You staying, or going?” he asked the wolf as he motioned for the damned pet to follow him. Such a burden...

He left the door open for her, giving her an option, she could either follow or take the limo wherever she pleased to go. As for him, he was backing up towards the building. The security knew who he was, and that he was allowed in, and just gave him a nod as he slid inside.

He knew it was a douchebag move, but he left the girls behind him, making his way down to Genesis'. The human wouldn't be hurt by sunlight, and Chech could very well take care of herself one way or another.

He knocked first, but he wasn't against letting himself in. Genesis was most likely asleep.

Chicha’s ears swiveled as the limo stopped and Zane completely just departed to the front door. A small amused smirk alighted onto her features, and she rose from the cushions to hop down to the floor and then to the ground. She watched the pet carefully, still trying to figure out what she should do with it.

As Zane entered the building, she trotted over to the pet and looked up at her, snuffling at her skin once more. It was still rather hard to place, but she knew something was up with it. She shrugged her shoulders, and Zane reappeared, snapping at the girl to get inside. Chech grinned, her ears flicking back a bit.

Considering the odds and the relation between she and Ginny, she was most likely not on that list. But then again, what guards would say no to something larger than they were? Or something they couldn’t even see, for that matter. ’Don’t worry, I promise to be a good girl; until you wake up at least.’ She silently made a promise towards Zane, knowing full well he was out of range.

Without wasting another second, the girl shifted forms once more into that of a mouse. Eventually she would definitely need to feed- considering her metabolism was shifting so quickly- but for now she should be fine. She scurried through the door which was still open from the pet moving it, and scampered towards the next set.

Once successfully through, she returned to her previous wolf form and trotted along the invisible path of scent to where the pet was and Zane had been. She stood there, watching the pet in thought. ’Friend or bane, friend or bane?’ Chech pondered quietly on how she should react to this pet. Considering that she was so meek, Zane would probably become close to the girl, or at least good terms. So it was probably wisest not to make too much trouble with the girl. She blinked, walking over to the couch she was perched on.

Chicha put two paws on the couch and then hopped up carefully. She then shifted towards the body laying there under the furry blanket. She put a paw down behind her back and then shifted forward into a laying position. She rested her head gently on the girl’s shoulder and wagged her tail just slightly. She yawned largely before nestling close to the girl’s form. She remained awake for a few more minutes, watching what was happening around her. She would soon close her eyes though and sleep. And then find a ton of food when she awoke again.

Feronia, could feel the wolf jump up beside her and cuddle close it was nice to feel another bodies warmth. Feronia wrapped a soft arm around the wolfs neck and petted her head softly. Feronia slid her arm down as to not make the wolf feel confined. "Good night." she whispered with a small delicate smile on her face. A few hours later that smile would be no where to be seen on Feronia's face. She shivered but not from the cold her heart raced. She was remembering all the killings she'd witnessed. The screams of the men and women before they died. Feronia, covered her ears but to no use she was still trapped in her nightmare. After a few minutes the girl went limp asleep once more no dreams no nightmares just sleep.

The wolf’s form tensed for a split second as she felt the arm around her neck, but she relaxed almost as quickly as she realized it was non-threatening, and actually rather
nice. Her tail thumped against the couch cushions, and her ears tilted back and forth about three times in an affectionate matter and pressed her muzzle a bit firmer into the girl’s hands as she stroked her.

As she spoke again, Chicha’s ears flicked forward attentively, and a soft whine shifted through her vocals. Once the girl dropped her arm, Chech relaxed notably, rolling just slightly so that she was laying on her side, and then curled to the point where she could rest the back of her head against the girl’s shoulder blade.

The wolf’s eyes closed, and her body slowed down until it shifted into rest mode, her ears still swiveled even in her sleep. She would awake to survey the room every hour or so, and once when the pet moved, her eyes flickered open to see she was struggling. The fur on her crown was pushed the wrong way from sliding back from the girl’s body to look at her, so it produced a somewhat cute look, though no one was there to see it. She merely looked at the girl, and made no move to comfort her. They would be on good terms as long as Zane had any link with her. But once that was gone, she would be nothing.

Chech fell asleep once more.

Chech’s breathing was even and peaceful, soothing to her own ears even in sleep. She had finally decided that no harm was going to come and had finally just let her form ease into a sleep state, without a dream this time. Being an animal definitely had its perks- in so many ways that no ‘outsider’ could fathom. Outsider being the term used with those who were not shape shifters.

However, her ears perked up as the girl shifted and then spoke. ”Thank you for staying with me.” Her eyelids eased open to reveal her amber orbs, and she blinked a few times. She could tell by her internal clock and by her animals’ senses that night had fallen once more. The wolf immediately rose and stretched out beside the girl, having made no action towards her besides stirring. Once more she stretched out a bit, and blinked a couple times, her mind drifting off to more pressing matters and musings.

However, once that voice reappeared in the air, her attention rose back to the gal. ” What should I do now?” The girl sat down, her ears at a lax position. She had the heightening notion that the girl did not realize that she was vampire as well. Perhaps she did, but none the less. Chech’s upper lip curled up over her teeth, her large fangs, which any animal would never possess other than that of the ancients, were made quite apparent even in the dim lighting. However, the wolf made no move towards or away from her, and her mouth shut once more.

She made the action so that the girl would not be surprised when she heard her speak. “Sit right there and don’t touch anything.” She said with a light uncaring tone, obviously making a jape while still being utterly serious. “Zane should wake without much delay. Most of us work that way.” She hopped down from the couch and looked back at the girl with boredom. She inclined her head, and then trotted up one of the staircases into the upper rooms where windows and balconies were located for the purpose of night.

At one of said balcony doors, Chech rose up onto her back legs and let a paw come down onto the mechanism which conveniently happened to be a latch doorknob. She then settled back to the ground, and then stepped out into the cool night air. Her wolf eyes gazed up to the sky, and she smiled a wolfish grin before her form changed once more.

Chech finally returned to her human form, a content smile on her features, her hair resting softly against her cheeks and neck and such, with a framing around her face besides. As always, she had long sleeves on that went three or four inches past her hands. She was wearing shorts as well, and a bracelet of soft deer hide was on her left wrist. She placed both hands onto the railing and then pushed herself on top of it to sit there.

As was her custom, Chech parted her lips and sang softly to welcome the night. It was not uncommon for shifters to do so, as many of their animal forms were inclined to do it anyway. The song that she had decided to sing this night was ’Come Little Children’. The way she sang was rather sweet and pretty, only increased by the fact she was a vampire, and pureblood at that. In her tone, it wasn’t so eerie.

After she finished, Chech slipped off of the stone back onto the floor of the balcony, returned inside after one fervent glance back at the night-lit world, and then closed the door behind her to walk back to the room in which the was sitting in.

She was definitely not going to miss Ginny’s reaction to this new soul.

Feronia had slightly jumped when the wolf spoke to her. Feronia had heard stories of shape shifters but couldn't recall ever seeing one before. Feronia nodded understanding her place. She watched as the wolf walked away and sighed. She was now alone in a place she'd never been before with people she's never met before. She sat there looking around the room trying to catch glimpses of the objects around her. She gazed down the long hallway once more this time seeing a woman in the walk way. Feronia smiled politely to the woman.

Genesis

Genesis could hear the slight anger in Zane's voice. The younger man my have not known exactly why he felt how he did, but Genesis knew. Even when he had been alive, the changeling had possessed an uncanny intuition towards how others felt, especially when it concerned him. Genesis also felt a slight jealousy run through him at the prospect of Zane gaining a new partner for the night, but Genesis had no official claim on the younger man and just shook his head to help right him of the thoughts.

Loudly letting out a breath, Genesis hoped to relieve the tension in the room just a bit. Quickly and with as much grace as a vampire was allowed, Genesis rolled over onto of Zane, one leg on either side of the pureblood. A boyish and seemingly innocent smile pulled at his features as he placed his hands onto Zane's chest. "Well, it's been such a long time since I've participated in vigorous activities." He muttered absentmindedly, running a finger up and down the younger man's chest. "I could definitely blame a certain someone for that though, it would appear that he's always distracting me and vying for my attention." Genesis leaned his face in close to Zane's, their lips only a breath away.

At the last possible moment, Genesis pulled back and moved off the younger man. "It's too bad that I have to find someone else to satisfy me though." His grin turned to a smirk, his back to the other male as he re-secured the tie of his robe. Without another word he left the room, heading down the hall to the kitchen area.

Finally reaching the fridge, Genesis opened it to look over the numerous bags filled with blood. Picking out the particular type he found himself craving, Genesis poured the contents into a mug and stuck the cup into the nearby microwave for twenty-seconds. Cold blood wasn't the best tasting while hot was horrible too, but after years of trial and error attempts, Genesis had finally gotten the science of microwaved blood down to his liking.

With mug in hand, he turned to his right. The kitchen and living room were designed in an open concept so he was able to clearly see Chech over the counter that separated the two spaces. What he had not expected was to see a scantly clad young woman with bright lavender hair taking up space there. Instantly the vampire was filled with fury, his mug crushing beneath his grip. With his mug in pieces and parts of it buried into the skin of his hand, the warm blood oozed sloppily onto the ground at his feet to pool into a small puddle. "What
the hell is that?!" He screamed loudly, his eyes narrowing dangerously on the girl.
