This only makes her feel that her opinion is not that important. She will only say what she feels is necessary and important, even if it is only important to her.
Rose tries hard to be optimistic, but cannot help but see the negative side of things. She is very sober and serious which makes her seem cold, but she is compassionate when she sees someone who is hurting. She is always a good shoulder to cry on, though she will rarely be able to give advice.
History: "Kindness that catches us by surprise brings out the best in our natures." Rose had always been a sickly child, but the doctors never found anything seriously wrong with her, which made them think she was just making up symptoms to get attention or her mother was overly concerned. Otherwise, she was a fairly normal child. She was fairly average in school, never failing, but never excelling either. She had no real, close friends because she never said much to anyone. Her mother was raising her alone, and was very protective of Rose since her father had died.
When Rose was sixteen, her mother had been planning a summer vacation at a house they owned in the woods. On the day they were supposed to leave, Rose began feeling ill, with a wracking cough and a splitting headache. Not wanting to ruin the trip, she did not complain. While they were driving on a somewhat remote road behind a large logging truck, one of the logs came loose and smashed into their car, killing her mother instantly.
Rose was thrown out of the car unconscious and bleeding. After several hours when night fell, Rose briefly woke to see a woman leaning over her. The woman asked if she wanted to live. Before Rose could answer, the woman bared her fangs and changed Rose to a vampire somewhat by force. Rose was too weak to run or resist. She was terribly weak for long after, but gradually began to recover, though she could never remember her life before the accident. The vampire woman, Alaine, kept Rose around for a while for company, but soon tired of her quietness. Since then, Rose has simply been surviving, trying to find something to really live for.
