Appearance: Logan had a rugged exterior and is thick with muscle. While no more than average height the man has an intimidating figure.

Personality: Logan Hawke is a hard man known for his gritty, sarcastic and almost comically fatalistic view of the world and those around him. Seeing what he used to do and what the organization he worked for did as ridiculously pointless he wasn't necessarily well liked within Cerberus but he was respected. The man has been through more firefights and near death situations than most generals twice his age and always seems to make it out alive. Logan has a knack for surviving situations other men couldn't but that doesn't mean he likes it and tends to make light of loss with sharp wit. He's seen men die and lost many under his command over the years and with each soldier who dies, each marine who takes a sniper round to the skull or takes a hit from a mortar round the salty soldier gets a little darker and he finds it harder to truly believe in anything but a stiff drink and a full thermal clip. Logan knows that war is bloody and dark and there isn't much thats going to change that. Soldiers dying is something he's gotten used to and tends to resent those who see war as heroic, often times seeing them as naive or just stupid. He uses his years of battlefield experience and training in some of the most elite military organizations in the galaxy to deadly effectiveness and is a force to be reckoned with.

Background: Logan Hawke was once a proud man. He was once a patriot. That was a long time ago. Originally an alliance marine who earned a name for himself in the battlefield before being accepted into the illustrious N7 training on Arcturus station. Logan thrived on Arcturus and once in the field he led his men to victory after victory all the while proudly serving the Alliance and humanity. Over the next few years Logan's love for the alliance slowed to a crawl fearing that they were not willing or able to get the real work done to protect humanity in order to "make nice with the aliens". He was soon recruited by the Illusive man and Cerberus and jumped at the opportunity. Once again Logan found himself fighting what he felt was the good fight. He was quickly rising up the ranks and earning a name for himself within the organization. Over the years fighting Hawke's proud and resilient attitude went the way of many soldiers who'd been in fox holes for too long and began to sour. Soon Logan's attitude mutated into a a biting wit that turned everything into a joke. The man began to take on a prickly attitude and become more and more pessimistic as he continued to lose men in combat. Despite everything Hawke seemed able to bear the weight until the Battle of Kasatum on Taetrus. Far behind enemy lines with not enough men and little to no weapons, ammunition or supplies Logan's unit got hit hard but managed to hold their position against the Turian forces they were combating. Cerberus refused to send in support assuming Hawke and his unit were KIA after Turian reinforcements touched down. Miraculously they received a word from Hawke three days after he'd been listed dead. His report stated that he and two members of his original squad were the only survivors of the Turian assault but they'd managed to hold position. Officially deemed a mission success Hawke doesn't see it that way. The man has never been the same since. The now 32 year old soldier has went AWOL and left Cerberus. Logan has been bar hopping and taking up jobs a as a bounty hunter to fuel his drinking.

So begins...

Weyrloc Chimish

"Soft-Shell, I'm guessin' you lost to Yelex? Skyllian 5? You wanna drink"

An older scarred up Krogan asked Chimish after they took a seat next to him. Chim turned in his seat to look at the older male. The krogan had blood red eyes and his entire body was covered in scars. Chimish leaned in and gave him a firm nod.

"Hell, if you're buying old one. You know that four eyed piece of varen shit?"

He said agreeing to the drink. This was about as polite and friendly as krogan got. Please and thank you weren't concepts krogan could grapple with. Skinng a turian alive and crushing varen skulls were a little more their speed.

Logan Hawke

Afterlife was alive with the sounds of the thundering music. The bass practically vibrated everything nearby Aria T'Loak's seat of power. The club's usual's were out in full force. Killers, thieves, deviants of all sorts. One deviant in-particular was seated at the bar in the upper of level of Afterlife. The human ex member of Cerberus sat well into his sixth glass of Serrice ice brandy. Beside him was a Turian so high on Halex he couldn't even sit up straight. He did however make for good conversation.

"...but I'm not saying that I'm, I'm not saying that. I'm saying what if you got their helmets off? I mean have you ever seen them without their helmets? I've never seen them without their helmets. What if they look like a vorcha or a krogan!"

"This is a conversation you really need to have with your girlfriend chief."

Logan replied flatly to the intoxicated turian. The turian just waved Logan's response away like he was shooing a fly.

"Psssshhh she wouldn't unders-stand. She's a quarian. I can't be all like hey babe what do your people look like under your helmets cause if you're ugly no more sex ever. I mean what do you think she'd say, what do you think huh?"

He asked leaning a little too close to Logan causing the human to sigh as he drank his brandy.

"Probably just beat your ass I'd guess."

"EXACTLY!"

The turian shouted throwing his hands up in the air. Logan chuckled and shook his head just as a krogan and a turian walked up. Both armed and both looked keen on doing some killing. The krogan grabbed the high turian and tossed him out of his seat.

"Beat it Halex head."

He growled as the other turian looked down at Logan as the human continued to drink without turning to look at the new comers.

"You Hawke?"

"Who'se asking dicktits?

"Aria T'Loak's asking."

He replied coldly. Logan chuckled and turned around in his seat to look up at the pair.

"Aww that's cute but if she wanted to ask me out she could've come down here herself. She didn't have to send you two girls."

Logan received a punch in the gut from the krogan in response. The blow knocked the wind clean out of the human biotic causing him to double over in pain.

"Anything else funny to say smart ass."

The krogan growled. Logan looked up at him with a half smirk.

"Yeah... you hit like a quarian."

The turian cracked Logan across the temple with the butt of his avenger assault rifle, dropping the human to the ground. Then the two grabbed either arm and dragged the now bleeding human to the VIP section to meet the Queen of Omega.

Weyrloc Chimish

Chimish broke out into roaring laughter before he slammed his hands down on the table.

"You've got a quad old one! Alright, we'll do it your way."

Chim got to his feet with a mischievous grin firmly planted on his big krogan face as he rolled his massive head until he heard a satisfying pop. He took a few steps and paused next to where Faltus was seated.

"The names Weyrloc Chimish, try and keep up old stone."

He said. The two krogan then made their way across the club to where Chim had been playing cards earlier. Yelex was still seated comfortably in the same seat the young krogan had left him. At the table with him were a pair of turians, another batarian and an asari. Chim stepped up to the table and leaned on it as he eyed Yelex.

"You owe me some money batarian."

Chim growled. Yelex chuckled calmly and leaned back in his seat.

"Aww come on now Chim, don't be like that. I won those credits fair."

"Funny, thats what I thought. But my friend here thinks otherwise. Says your a cheat Yelex."

Chim replied, throwing a thumb behind him at Dezran. All four of the batarians eyes flicked up to look at the older krogan. They studied him the the few seconds before he spoke.

"Look Chim, I don't know this krogan. He must have me mistaken for someone else."

"And I say he doesn't."

Chim snarled back. The other card players all nervously exchanged glances as Yelex cleared his throat.

"Chim, buddy I..."

"Think real hard how you answer me batarian. You say Dezran's wrong and he might think you're calling him stupid. Call me wrong and I might think you're calling me a liar."

The batarians eyes slowly widened in the realization that he wasn't going to talk his way out of this one. The fear that dawned on his face caused a smile to dawn on Chim's.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Logan Hawke

Logan was unceremoniously tossed in a heap at Aria's feet in the VIP lounge. He grunted and pushed himself up. He paused to spit out some blood before getting all the way to his feet.

"Hell, if you boys wanted to take me somewhere private you could've just bought me a drink."

Logan said sarcastically. The krogan took a step forward with a balled up fist ready to drop the human but Aria's voice froze him solid.

"I think you've had enough fun Thrashk."

The krogan looked at the Queen of Omega and obeyed instantly, taking a step back yet still glaring at the human.

"Good boy."

Logan said antagonizing him further. The reply received the slightest of smirks from the ruler of Omega as she casually lounged in her seat of power.

"They said you had a mouth on you. Looks like they were right."

She said. Logan looked up at her, the blood from where the butt of the turians rifle cracked him in the brow was dripping around his eye socket causing him from opening the eye all the way.

"The fucks they?"

Logan replied.

"You're old employers Mr. Hawke."

Logan sighed and looked away. Cerberus had been after him ever since he went AWOL. It was well known that no one ever just quit Cerberus but Hawke had hoped that with all this business about Collectors and Reapers that maybe they'd overlook one drunk grunt.

"I had a charming little chat with your old boss recently. Seems he's got it in his Illusive little head that you might be sifting for scraps here on Omega. Working as a bounty hunter I hear."

"Must've heard wrong. I'm a nanny now."

Now Aria downright chuckled.

"I bet....You see being in the position I am means that I'm forced to make a lot of friends. Friends that, normally I wouldn't even want to be in the same room with. Yet I do it because it furthers the big picture. I can't just not work with people just because I don't like them. Especially someone with the kind of pull of the Illusive man and Cerberus. Despite what I'd like to do I can't afford not to make nice with him."

Logan growled under his breath. He couldn't let Aria ship him back to Cerberus he'd be dead for sure. That being said he had no shot of taking on all the mercs in this room let alone Aria herself and making it off of Omega in one piece. Aria paused for a few seconds before continuing.

"The problem is no mater what I do I'll always be just another alien to Cerberus and Omega, will always be just a haven for freaks and monsters."

Logan's eyes flicked up to stare into her deep violet eyes.

"The hell are you saying?"

Logan asked.

"I'm saying that I've never seen you before and to my knowledge you're not on Omega."

She replied cooly. Logan nearly shook his head in disbelief. He threw looks at some of the other mercs in the room to see if they thought she was serious but couldn't gauge any of their reactions. To them this was all business as usual. Logan took a single step forward before saying anything else.

"You're yanking me. Why would you do this for me?"

Aria just smiled serenely as she took a deep breath and let the pounding music of Afterlife wash over her.

"It's not about you Logan. This is my little fuck you to Cerberus. You want to see it as me doing something nice for you out of the kindness of my heart be my guest. I honestly couldn't care less."

Logan ran his hand through his hair and half chuckled.

"Well... shit thanks I guess. So... I can go then right?"

The biotic human asked already taking a few steps back. The big krogan that had been using Logan as a punching bag earlier stepped in his way halting his exit.

"Not so fast Mr. Hawke."

Aria said calmly. Logan stopped and turned around.

"If you don't have any exciting baby sitting jobs lined up I might have some work for you. Of course you'll be doing this first one gratus as a thank you to me right?"

She asked as she leaned forward in her seat and locked eyes with Logan, almost daring him to decline. Logan sighed with a smile. Aria wasn't the Queen of Omega for nothing. She never does anything without a reason and now she just got herself a bounty hunter for free.

"'Course... Whatdya need?..."

Weyrloc Chimish

The younger krogan was already in full charge after Yelex when Dezran shouted at him to go after the batarian.

"Get back here you varen!"

Chim roared as he barreled after him. Yelex turned and fired a few panicked shots at the charging krogan but the rounds did little else than bounce off Chim's kinetic barriers. Chim tackled the batarian to the ground and after ripping the gun away from him proceeded to pummel him to a pulp. Yelex shouted and screamed in pain as the young krogan beat him savagely. When Yelex's crying was little more than a weak whimper Chim stopped raining blows down on him.

"Alright meat, give me whats mine and maybe I don't break your legs."

Chim growled. Yelex nodded emphatically and gave over the credits. Chim pushed himself up before throwing one last kick to the batarians ribs. The krogan turned and made his way back to Faltus while the other patrons began handing out the credits from the bets they had made on the fight. Chim found the older krogan on top of an asari, pinning her to the ground.

"Having fun Dezran?"

Chim asked with a deep chuckle.

Logan Hawke

Aria smirked and leaned back again resuming her casual demeanor.

"There's a card shark here on Omega. A batarian by the name of Yelex."

"The hells that to me?"

Logan grunted. Aria arched her eyebrow as if she was amused by the humans quick wit.

"Well Yelex owes money to nearly everyone on Omgea, including me. I want you to find him and bring him to me alive if you can. If not dead works just as well. The money isn't the point. People need to know what happens when you don't pay your do's to Aria T'loak."

She said.

"Dead or alive huh? Sounds like fun."

Logan said with a shrug. The biotic human turned to leave but once again he was stopped by Aria's voice.

"One thing first Logan...."

"Yeah boss lady?"

"Clean yourself up first, Yelex isn't going anywhere. Get a drink, find yourself a nice girl. On the house. Can't have you tired and tense when you're on the job."

Now it was Logan who arched an eyebrow. He'd always heard of Aria's ruthlessness but this was a complete surprise.

"You want me to get sauced and find myself some tail?... Sound good to me. Oh and don't worry about yer dancers Aria. I'll go easy on em. I'm a real sweetheart. Seriously, the kind of guy who'll hold yer hair back while you puke."

Logan said casually as he turned and finally left the VIP section and headed down to the main floor for a well earned drink.

Weyrloc Chimish

Chim cocked his head and looked at the blonde human female curiously before chuckling to himself.

"You let that human woman talk to you like that old stone? I hope that kind of obedience doesn't come with age."

He said with a chuckle before tossing some of Yelex's credits to Dezran.

"There's your share. See you around ancient one."

Chimish said with a smile before heading back to his comrades, completely forgetting about the table full of drinks on the other side of the room. The fight had done more for the young krogan than all the alcohol in the room could have. Chimish headed over to Roz and the others to find a pair of new faces. A drell and a human female. Chim took a seat beside his boss and leaned on the counter before nudging her arm.

"Who'se the fish?"

Chim asked referencing the two newcomers. Fish was a term used by the people of Omega when they were referring to off worlders, especially naive or defenseless off worlders who were new to Omega as if you were throwing new fish to the sharks.

Logan Hawke

Logan had since gotten himself a few drinks and been chatting up one of the asari dancers long enough to convince her to take him to her place. At the moment he was lying down on her bed while she was in the bathroom changing. He was enjoying the waves of inberation washing over him as the alcohol coursed through his system. The asari's name was lost to the humans mind if he'd ever asked at all. He could hear her talking to him from the bathroom. What she was saying was a mystery to Hawke as he was barely paying attention. He did however enjoy listening to her voice. The melodious tones were comforting and even soothing. Her voice cooed as only a soon to be lover could. It was so comforting in fact that it threatened to lull the man to sleep. Luckily the asari exited the bathroom wearing nothing but a towel just before he nodded off.

"Looks like Aria's thugs really put you through hell baby..."

She said alluringly. Logan sat up with a half smile.

"I've been through worse than those ass monkeys."

The asari giggled sweetly before crossing the room and dropping the towel.

"Lets see what's left of you..."

Logan Hawke

It was early the next day and Logan was already up. He was casually walking through the streets of Omega, his asari bed mate from the night prior was more than likely still asleep in her room. The memory of the wild night put a smile on the humans face as he strolled. The streets were oddly empty for Omega whose streets were usually bustling. Apparently the people of Omega weren't early birds Logan thought with a chuckle. Logan made his way through hauntingly quiet streets until he reached the lounge outside of Afterlife. There were a few people already sitting out there beginning their day of drinking or wrapping their night up. There was a particular patron that Logan had his eye on. A Turian named Octus who Logan had drank with on several occasions. The turian was sitting alone with a solemn expression as usual. Logan walked up and took a seat across from him.

"Hey Octi, yer up early."

Logan said casually as he leaned back in his chair. The turians mandibles flexed in frustration before he replied.

"Up? I never slept... Rebecca kicked me out."

He said. Logan let out a long whistle in surprise.

"That sucks man... You know how those human women are. Fuck em."

Logan grunted. Now it was Octus who chuckled.

"Oh I wish I had your ability to disregard anything and everything Logan. Unfortunately for me its not that easy. I love her, human or not."

Logan yawned and stretched carelessly.

"Yeeeaah, I don't know what any of that means. So, you used to be a filthy degenerate gambler and a drunk right bub?"

Octus sighed again and shook his head.

"What do you need to know Hawke?"

"I'm looking for someone. A batarian named Yelex. I hear he might've been running in some of your old circles."

Octus took a sip of his drink before leaning back.

"Ahh yes, Yelex. I know of him. The mans a cheat and a liar. A card shark with a smile. I hear he got outed yesterday. Apparently a pair of krogan found out he was cheating."

Logan cursed under his breath and ran his hand through his hair.

"Great, so he's dead."

"That's the strange thing. They left him alive. They just beat him to a pulp and got their credits back."

Logan was honestly surprised at the news.

"Damn thats a surprise. Well, works for me. Where can I find him?"

"Normally I would say the lower level of Afterlife but after yesterday I doubt he'd be out in the open. He's probably laying low somewhere."

Logan got to his feet and tossed a few credits on the table.

"Thanks for the intel Octi. I shouldn't have much trouble catching his scent now that I have a jump off point. Get yerself another drink on me. Good luck with the misses."

Logan said before turning to leave his turian friend in peace.

Weyrloc Chimish
Before Roz had a chance to reply the human woman next to the drell began speaking so fast about so many different things the young krogan had trouble keeping up. When it was all done she had made a small gesture as if she was locking her mouth with a key. Chim cocked his head and stared at her curiously.

"You're a strange one human..."

Chimish staid blatantly confused. He had paid enough attention to hear all of the drells proposition and couldn't help but feel it was a job to jump at. Babysit a couple of scientists while they do their job. The young krogan thought that if they were lucky they might get to kill something once they got planet side. Time would tell but it would all depend on whether or not Roz was up for it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Logan Hawke

Logan had been speaking to the patrons of Omega for the past hour getting what intel he could on the batarians where abouts. Apparently after the two krogans used his face as a punching bag Yelex went to ground to avoid the other denizens of Omega whom he'd cheated out of credits. Unfortunately for Yelex the trail was still fresh and it didn't take long to track him down. From what he'd learned Yelex was on his way off the station. On a hunch Logan decided to stop and grab his armor just incase things got interesting.

Weyrloc Chimish

Chimish had been with Roz longer than anyone. The two had fought and spilled more blood side by side than either of them had with the rest of the team. The two had an understanding yet many wondered why, if the young krogan was the senior member of the group, was he not the second in command. Roz thought tactically. She wasn't bogged down by personal feelings or politeness. She made the calls necessary to get the job done in the best way she knew how and she was blessed that Chim had the mind set he did. He never once felt slighted or ill used by the turian. Mayce was second because he was better suited for the job, nothing more. The young krogan understood that. He knew his talents and aiding Roz in negations was not one of them. He was here to kill, and he was good at it. Chim turned just as Persephone came sauntering up. The krogan could smell the alcohol and it made him chuckle to see her attempting to act sober but he didn't say a word. He always liked the human biotic. He has said several times in the past that she reminded him of a rabid varen he once had on Tuchanka.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Logan Hawke

Logan had closed in on his target and located the batarian in a corridor of the docking bay. Apparently he really was trying to get off Omega. Unfortunately for him he didn't get very far. Some of his other disgruntled card buddies had got a hold of him before Logan showed up. Logan stopped at the end of the hall to see two turians and another batarian standing over the whimpering form of Yelex. The card shark was curled up in a ball crying pathetically after receiving a few kicks from the group. The batarian that was with the turians seemed to be calling the shots and grabbed Yelex by the throat before drawing a pistol and putting it to the card sharks head.

"You thought you could just cheat me out of my money and get away with it Yelex? You're a disgrace to our people you pile of space trash and now... you're gunna die for it."

Logan sighed loudly and checked his gauntlets to make sure they were fastened properly.

"Well... I sure am glad I decided to get all dolled up before coming over here. I had a hunch some nice young boys would ask me to dance."

The three thugs and Yelex all turned to look at the newcomer in confusion. Logan just stood there calmly with a cocky smirk on his face. The batarian ring leader took a step forward after shoving Yelex back to the floor.

"He a friend of yours human?"

The batarian asked with a snarl. Hawke chuckled and casually rested his hand on his belt.

"I wouldn't go that far. I'm just here about some debts."

Logans reply caused Yelex to whimper even further while at the same time it illicited a chuckle from the batarian ring leader.

"You hear that Yelex? The people you've cheated are coming out in force to see you burn."

He said with a sneer before turning back to Logan.

"Well then you're in for a show friend. Sit back and relax and I'll save you a bullet."

The batarian said smugly before turning back to Yelex.

"Yeeeah, this is awkward..."

Logan said speaking up again which caused the three thugs to turn around. Their patience was obviously beginning to wear thin.

"See you ladies seem to be a tad bit confused as to what I want. Yer boy Yelex doesn't owe me shit. I never met him before... Now the lady who hired me for this little monkey fuck hunt on the other hand is a little more familiar with him."

"Bounty hunter..."

One of the turians grumbled. The batarian ring leader cocked his head before taking a step towards Logan.

"And who would that be?"

Logan smiled innocently as he shrugged.

"Oh no one important. I doubt you ever heard of her before.... Her names Aria T'Loak."

The two turains eyes went wide in shock as their demeanor instantly changed from aggressive to nervous. Yelex broke down into tears again at the news. The ring leader on the other hand just scowled and glared at Logan.

"Fucking Aria... Prancing around here like some damn queen..."

He growled. One of the turians jumped at the batarians words.

"Dorvan! Watch what you say man! I'm not crossing Aria over a few credits."

The batarian wheeled on him punched him right in the mouth.

"Remember you work for me NOT Aria! We don't even know if she really did hire this guy! Anyone can say they work for Aria T'Loak!"

The ringleader shouted in frustration as he tried to reign in his men and turn them on Logan. The biotic human just shook his head with a smile.

"Well that's cute and all Misty but the thing is I couldn't give two shits whether you believe I work for Aria or not. What you need to believe is that yer boy Yelex there is comin with me. Now the way I see it there's two ways we can do this. The easy way..."

Logan paused to rest his hand on the pistol strapped to his hip.

"Or the real easy way."

Logan watched as the three thugs exchanged nervous glances. Suddenly the ring leader made up his mind. His hands went to his back and drew a shotgun. In the blink of an eye Hawke's entire body began emanating the trademark blueish light as the mass effect fields around him distorted with his power. Before the ring leader knew what was happening he was flying through the air and crashed into some shipping containers down the hall. The two turians went for their guns and dove for cover. Logan laughed as he slid behind a set of metal barrels to protect him for when the turians built up the courage to fire on him.

"I was hoping he'd have the stones to do that!"

Logan said happily to himself.

The turians were both armed with pistols apparently not prepared for the fight at all. Logan on the other hand was fully armed and armored. A few rounds pinged off the barrels Logan was taking cover behind. When the firing stopped allowing the turians to reload Logan went on the offensive. He turned and used a biotic push to throw the barrels through the air and crashed on the the turians locations. The two turians dove out of the way and right out into the open.

"Gotcha dicktits!"

Logan shouted with a laugh as he unloaded on the two defenseless turians with his M-76 Revenant. The high caliber rounds tore holes through the two in seconds leaving them as little more than ventilated corpses in seconds. Hawke chuckled and relaxed as he shouldered his rifle casually when all of the sudden a shotgun blast ricocheted off his kinetic barriers. Logan growled and whirled on the attacker using his biotics to pull him towards himself before bringing his rifle up and unloading on the batarian in the air. The ringleader fell to the floor at Logan's feet in a bloody heap. Hawke arched an eyebrow at him before stepping over him and strolling over to Yelex who was still curled up in a terrified heap.

"Alright birthday bear, execution's been delayed. On yer feet and I won't slap ya around."

Logan said to the batarian. Yelex looked up with a whimper.

"Please... don't take me to Aria. She'll kill me."

Logan reached down and grabbed a hand full of his shirt collar before roughly heaving him to his feet.

"Save it bub, I ain't interested. Get movin or I'll shoot ya in the pooper."

Aria T'Loak sat basking in the deep bass of the music filling Afterlife. Her eyes were closed as she enjoyed what she had won. From the gangs, from Patriarch, from everyone. She had cut her throne from their hands and earned her place as ruler of Omega. Her influence extended far beyond the ports of Omega and even reached so far as the Citadel Council. Yet like any power there was an equal opposing force eager to see her brought to ruin. The Illusive man was seen by Aria as one of her few true adversaries. As intelligent as she was and equally as ruthless. The two, while never openly hostile, had always circled each other like rival predators in the same territory. Now she had one of his agents and saw the value in that. The inside knowledge of Cerberus and their operations not to mention the word of mouth that would generate from her having an ex member of Cerberus in her employ. Aria could not value highly enough the power of reputation. She knew all about Logan and his illustrious career. A decorated Alliance Marine and a patriot who reached the fabled ranks of N7 before defecting and joining Cerberus. Within the organization he was a veritable powerhouse and had an exemplary record snatching victory from the jaws of defeat time and time again, most notably on Taetrus where he almost single handedly held of several waves of Turians with too few men and too few supplies. Logan was a significant weight in the scales of power for Aria, tipping the balance in her favor. At the moment that weight was strolling into her VIP as she relaxed. The man was shoving a terrified Batarian at the point of a gun. With a less than ceremonious boot to the ass Logan kicked Yelex to the ground at Aria's feet. A slight smirk crawled onto her face as her eyes locked onto the card shark.

"Merry Christmas and shit Queenie."

Logan said sarcastically. Yelex looked up at the ruler of Omega with unrestrained terror.

"Aria... P-Please, you have to understand... I-"

Aria put her hand up silencing him.

"If you want to beg for your life you're doing it a little early Yelex. I haven't even called Cicerus yet."

At the sound of the name of Aria's long time torturer Yelex broke down into unintelligible tears and moans. The big krogan named Thrashk chuckled at the sight. Aria merely continued to smile calmly before she stood.

"You've got a couple of outstanding loans to me Yelex. Worth quite a bit of credits. Then you get it into your head to try and run without paying me my money.... Not smart Yelex. Thrashk... take Yelex to the back for me."

The krogan grinned wickedly before grabbing the Batarian roughly and dragging him out of the room. Logan just shifted casually in position after he returned his assault rifle to his back.

"Gotta say, I kinda enjoyed that."

Logan said with a grin. Aria smiled and sat down.

"Did you?... We could make this a more permanent arrangement if you'd prefer Logan?"

"Aww sweetheart are you askin to go steady?"

Logan replied sarcastically.

"Like any lover I would require devotion Hawke, you think you could do that?"

Aria replied unphased by the man's quick wit. Logan chuckled and took a few steps towards her but quickly received a growl from a nearby krogan bodyguard. With a look from Aria he backed down and Logan continued up to take a seat near her.

"Maybe. Whats in it fer me babe? Any perks?"

He asked as his eyes moved up and down Aria's figure. Aria's eyebrow arched with intrigue.

"More than a few. Though don't get cute... you won't last long with me."

Logan chuckled again and leaned back.

"Ehh I dunno, I might surprise ya. But hell tell me about the gig..."

Weyrloc Chimish

The young krogan had been unentuthusiasticly listeneing to the negotians with little interest. Business talk always bored him. To be honest almost any talk bored the krogan. Chimish was a doer not a talker. That was what Roz did well, what Mayce did well. Yet another reason Mayce earned the title of number 2 and not Chim. Despite that Chim and Mayce had always gotten along well. It was a well known truth that Mayce, Persephone and Chimish had formed a tight knit group bond and tended to run together when on shore leave. The three loved fights and fortunately Mayce, being the teams second kept them out of too much trouble most of the time. Roz had sent her team off to prep for the mission and effectively let Chim off the leash. The young krogan got to his feet with a broad grin before he punched his fist into his other hand with vigor.

"Finally, I hope these squints give us something big to kill."

Chim said excitedly before heading off to collect his gear which constisted of mostly weapons and ammuntion.

Logan Hawke

Aria leaned back in her seat calmly.

"I recently brokered a lucretive deal with the Thanatos Private Military Corporation. They are headed out on a job and needed some ships and muscle."

"Guessin I'm the latter."

Logan grunted. Aria chuckled and shook her head.

"Hardly. If that was all I needed I'd send Thrashk. You're a highly trained, expert operative Logan. My own personal, Cerberus bred Spectre."

Logan chuckled and arched his eyebrow.

"You ain't no Asari councilor babe."

"And you're no Commander Shepard but we have to play with the cards we're dealt."

Aria replied sharply. Logan met her gaze and held it for a few moments. The Queen of Omega was good, damn good. She has spent countless years talking around people and learning everything about them over a few drinks and casual conversation all the while silent threats and innnuendoes were abound. Logan was a soldier and has been following unqualified CO's for years. He's seen good men die and lose everything all because some prep school grad with no battle experience got put in command because they were somebodies fucking cousin. That being said he had no problem following, just as long as they were worth following. Aria T'Loak was sure as shit worth following.

"Hey yer the boss. Where should we link up?"

"Docking bay 6. Head to the ship named the Sentinel. There will be a Salarian named Cortex. He's the one you'll be working with on this."

"What's the op?"

"They're on the hunt for a group of scientist who may be close to finding some very valuable ancient relics. You can get more information from Cortex if you have questions. You're job will be to protect my investment and make sure I get what's mine. I'm hoping to make quite a few credits out of this not to mention Thanatos support. I'll send you anything else you need on your omni tool."

Logan got to his feet and gave her a over exagertaed salute.

"Aye, aye Cappin."

He said sarcasticly before heading off.

"And Logan... try not to kill too many people. I don't need a body count. You're going to make me money."

Aria said, calling after him.

"Yeah, yeah. Try not to throw a murder party, bag some loot. I got it mom."

Faltus Dezran

Faltus grinned at Jeron's joke about the Volus flakes, actually thinking it would taste pretty good. He had fantasies of eating Volus when he was suddenly broken out his trance by mentioning Cortex was on the Sentinel. Damn, that Salarian was the most silent thing, besides Archer, he had seen....or not. The Scarred Alien was good at remaining unseen. He then arched his eyebrows at Jeron's comment about the Asari.

"Well, Jeron, I have a surprise. Meet me in my room, in ten minutes. Bring your strongest alcohol, and that strip poker game your so good at. I'll send a message to couple of Asari babes I know, and invite them to play! Waddya say, pilot? First though, Oily, I need to go prep the armory, should not take long.....I just have to make sure we have enough ammo. Bloody Thermal Clips, step down from venting, tell ya. Ah well, seeya in ten Jeron!" the Krogan turned around and headed to the armory, confident the Crazy Quarian would accept his proposal...

Weyrloc Chimish

Chimish was a happy krogan. He was carrying several pounds of thermal clips, grenades and guns. Roz had secured the team a new business venture that with hopes would result in some blood shed. Chim strutted down the streets of Omega on their way to the space port. The female turian had yet to let anyone know how they planned on going on this job without a ship. CHim just guessed they were riding with the scientists. As he got closer to the space port he noticed a bit of commotion. A group of armed and angry batarians were running around as if they were looking for someone. The thought made the krogan chuckle. Batarians had a bad habit of trying to bully everyone around them. There were few things the young krogan loved doing more then teaching them some krogan manners.

"There's one! She's with him! I saw the humans together earlier!"

Chim heard one batarian shout. Chim turned to see one of his newest charges walking through the spaceport. The blind human tech specialist named Grace.

"Don't move bitch!"

One of the batarians shouted before four ran at her.

"Good..."

Chim growled under his breath before he drew his shotgun. The batarians did not even notice the krogan walking up when all of the sudden he whipped out his M-300 Claymore and at almost point blank range fired on the closest batarian. The blast took the four eyed alien clean off his feet and tore open his chest as the high velocity rounds shredded through his torso. Two of the batarains skidded to a stop in surprise to stare at Chimish before drawing their guns. The last continued his mad dash towards Grace, no doubt in hopes to use the girl as a human shield. Chim fired again, this time the shotgun blast imploded a batarians knee clean off their leg dropping them to the floor in agony. The other batarian drew his assault rifle and opened fire, the rounds bounced harmlessly off the big krogans kinetic shields. The rounds would drop his shiled quickly leaving Chim vulnerable but the krogan had no intention of letting the batarian live that long. He roared and charged before cracking the batarian in the jaw with the butt of his shotgun. As soon as he hit the floor Chim stepped on the rifle so the batarian couldn't open fire again before the high pitched hum of the carnage prep sounded off. Chim turned and fired and the high impact blast rocketed outwards. It took the batarain racing towards Grace in the back and exploded in a glorious display of gore. Chim chuckled before looking down at the batarian at his feet.

"P-Please... don't."

Chim cocked his head unmoved.

"Save it meat."

He stated flatly before putting the barrel of the shotgun on the batarians head and pulling the trigger, leaving nothing but a smear where their head used to be. With a satisfied feeling washing over the young krogan Chim took a step away from the body before he looked up into the crowd. He could hear shouts and curses coming this way. Batarian voices by the sound of them. Chim growled before running over to Grace and grabbing her arm.

"It's Chim, little blind bird. We should get you to your ship. Those varren had friends."

Logan Hawke

Logan arrived at the Sentinel and quickly glanced up and down the ship.

"Guess the old girl doesn't skimp."

The biotic merc said to himself before heading up to the comm on the air lock and patching in.

"I'm lookin fer Cortex. Aria sent me."

Logan said into the ships comm before awaiting a response.

Cortex

Cortex woke to the sound of a gruff sounding man asking for him, claiming to be sent by Aria. Aria had told him to wait for an observer, but he had no idea they would
be riding on HIS ship. He sighed, inconvenienced by the Human sounding voice. He tapped a message to his Asari handmaid...

Set up a room for Aria's observer, make sure it is luxurious and comfortable. We need to make a good impression on this man. After yo have set up, warm his bed and
be active with him every night. No man can resist an Asari. Do this NOW.

Satisfied with his orders, he dressed in a shirt, fitted for him, and trousers, tailor made. He grabbed his two pistol holsters, and strapped them on his belt, before putting his pistols in the holsters. This could possibly be an assassination attempt. He then opened the airlock door, seeing the Observer for the first time. He was heavily muscled, and clearly was a biotic. He was an average size for a human, but was still rather intimidating. Suddenly remembering the common human gesture, he extended his hand to the human biotic, quickly introducing himself.

"My name is Cortex, nice to meet you. Aria told me to expect you, so I arranged a bedroom and evening entertainment for the trip. If you come with me, we can discuss my mission in more detail....."

The Salarian waited for the human to shake his hand, eager to go to the briefing room to chat with the observer. He looked like he could one day be a valuable member of Thanatos....

Logan Hawke

Logan reached out his hand and shook the salarians firmly. The slender, large headed race were never thought of as particularly great warriors of killers but as thinkers. They were extraordinarily adept at non linear thinking making them exceptional in the fields of science and espionage. Regardless Logan had run into more than his fair share of salarian mercs to know that when you put that big brain of theirs to violent ends they could be deadly opponents. Hawke released his grip on the salarians hand before speaking.

"Aww shucks I get my own room? Yer spolin me. Why don't you tell me the nature of this venture yer on before I go to my room and find out what kind of entertainment we're talkin about."

Logan said as he followed Cortex onto the ship.

Cortex

Cortex led the human named Logan into the mini-bar area of the ship, pouring three glasses of Asari wine, two glasses of Ryncol and a Salarian cocktail. He put them onto a tray and walked into the conference room, sitting at the head of the table. Me motioned to a seat on his left. He moved the Asari wine, called "Bliss" to Logan. He then asked the Biotic to wait a moment. He quickly tapped out a messahe on his green omni-tool, to all members of his team.

MEET IN SENTINEL'S CONFERENCE ROOM. BRIEFING FOR JOB. URGENT.

He then started messing with the seat assignation's so that everyone was comfortable. He placed Elizabeth to his right, with Jeron next to her. Faltus was next to Logan, with Archer opposite Cortex. He then brought up a real-time image of Carcosa, a red mess of a planet, with decades of greenhouse gases polluting the air. Joy, Cortex though. He then turned to Logan.

"I have arranged a meeting with my team, Mr Hawke. Is there anything you would like to know before they arrive?"

The Salarian stared intensely at the human, trying to understand what sort of man the obvious veteran was...

Weyrloc Chimish

Chimish was already beginning to enjoy this new job as he made a batarians head exploded with a well aimed burst of rifle fire. He grinned and got into cover as the enemy force started unloading on him. A quick reload and he popped out of cover and sprayed in their direction. One round caught a batarian in the thigh while another took one in the gut but for the most part the burst of covering fire did little more than halt their progression giving Chim an opportunity to close the distance. Krogans were some of the most dangerous aliens in the galaxy but at close range, they were near unstoppable. Chim barreled in and reached the closest batarian and bashed the four eyed merc in the jaw with the butt of his rifle. The batarian dropped to the ground clutching his shattered jaw only to receive a point blank range burst of rounds from Chim's battle rifle.

Logan Hawke

The biotic merc leaned back in his chair casually as one of Cortex's people walked in. A blonde, human woman. Obviously a fighter, Logan to see the muscle definition in her every move yet she didn't have the stocky build of a solider. Logan guessed either a biotic or a techie but he'd find out for sure later on. As for Cortex himself he seemed to be smart but that went without saying he was a salarian. How smart was still up for debate though. Logan's eyes flicked back to to Cortex only to see him staring intently at him, observing every movement.

"Ya wanna know if I got any questions huh? Alright, I'm figurin you'll wanna go over the full mission specs when your squad rolls in so fer now I'll settle with somethin simple. Why Omega? Why Aria? Did ya just need ships like I heard? If ya got a team already you sure as shit aren't lacking fer muscle so I'm just curious what yer angle is? Nobody does somethin fer no reason and everybody wants somethin."
