A pack of werewolves must discover what's altering their shape-shifting before it's too late, while also tracking a rogue werewolf who is preying on humans.

Introduction

Bedtime Stories

Eight werewolves are in a pack. Five of them grew up together, with their parents being in the same pack a generation before. Three of them are fairly new, having moved to the same town (South Browning, Montana) and joined the pack through a lack of options. Fact is, werewolves need a pack. Lone (rogue) werewolves will go insane without at least one other wolf's companionship. That's where all the horror stories come from--the ones where the full moon rolls around and they kill everyone they can get their claws into. These packs have a responsibility to destroy a werewolf that's gone rogue. The pack of five was the only option in this town, so the three joined them (whether willing or unwilling is another story).

With the complications of accepting the new three as family, new problems begin to emerge: for example, their abilities begin working differently, or not at all. Sometimes it's difficult (or even impossible) for them to phase when it's been natural since their *moon age. What they don't know is that one of the parents has found a cure for the wolf DNA and it's taken by simple digestion. Slipping it into their food and drink, they'll have to discover the deceiver's acts before they lose their abilities forever. On top of this, rogue werewolves have begun to pop up everywhere. It's hard enough to try to fix problems within the group while attempting to destroy Rogues before the town suspects something supernatural. One particular Rogue, however, keeps slipping from their pack's grasp.
The same way a cure's been invented, an anti-cure has also been brought into existence. It's taken through injection, and gives a werewolf the power of a Rogue with a sane mind. It's a power that must be stopped before their supernatural world is thrown into the expanse of human knowledge.

Bite Me

• Werewolves in wolf form are regular wolves, only about twice the size. To a trained eye, it's easy to spot one from a wolf. To humans, they're considered a normal breed of wolf called Great Wolves.

• Werewolves in human form will involuntarily always change into their wolf form at sunset. Though it's possible to fight the change, it's very difficult and extremely uncomfortable. It would be impossible to fight for more than two hours past sunset. They change back to human at sunrise.

• Their is no trace of wolf in their human form's physical appearance, but their senses are enhanced to their wolf's abilities.

• *Werewolves are perfectly human up until their mid-teens. For some, it's 14, others, 17. Usually it is between 15 and 16 that the first change is made. The age you first phased is called your Moon Age. Some keep track of the exact dates and treat it like a birthday, others could care less when it happens. Regardless, all werewolves have one.

• Werewolves turn humans by biting them in their wolf form. They do not prey on humans unless they are rogue, in which case they devour them, so turning someone is never accidental. Werewolves may also be born by one or both parents possessing the DNA.

• Because wolves need to communicate in silence while hunting rogues, telepathy is the primary form of communication. They cannot read all of the others thoughts--that would be a giant clutter of mental mess. But they can hear thoughts intended to be heard by the sender. However, they must keep in mind that keeping secrets in the pack could potentially tear them apart from the inside. Honesty is crucial.

• Alphas do not exist. Some packs will give an Alpha title to someone they want to lead them, but in this pack, every decision is either a group or individual decision. All werewolf packs are different.

• Rogues-- werewolves that have gone mentally insane from being outside of a pack for 6 months or longer. They're perfectly normal in human form, but the wolves have gone crazed. They are incapable of thinking human thoughts in their wolf form, surrendering completely to the wolf's power. This gives them strength and enhances their senses. The reason the rogues are enemies is because when hungry, they target the ultimate prey: human.

Rules? What Rules?

First of all, I WILL ONLY ACCEPT THREE PLAYERS. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but I want this to be a rather personal role-play with writers who meet my needs. I'd love for this RP to go far. Therefore, there will be a section of the skeleton where I ask that you make a 1-2 paragraph "first post" of your character. It doesn't matter where they're at or what they do, I just need an example of your writing to be sure that you're able to give this role-play what it needs. :)

I. Proper grammar and spelling. I understand mishaps, but I can't tolerate things like massive run-on sentences, improper use of quotation marks, or simply confusing writing.
II. I'd like this to be at least semi-literate. 2 paragraphs at least per character, please. So 4 paragraphs per post minimum. They don't have to be huge paragraphs, just give everyone something to work with so your character doesn't get excluded. There may be exceptions to this, but only in certain cases.
III. Get creative with your characters' histories and personalities. The less Mary-Sues, the more interesting the pack.
IV. Language is fine, just make sure it suits the situation. I'd rather not see too much of it if the character isn't angry or upset about something. Romance is also welcome, just don't make it the center of the RP.
V. Don't control other characters unless given permission.
VI. Please don't leave all of the story-building to me. Feel free to throw in sub-plots.
VII. The rogue werewolf with the anti-cure is an NPC. I'll occasionally play him in the beginning to further the plot, afterwards, it's up to everyone to control his next move. Just don't make him too easy for the pack to catch. :)
VIII. You MUST create two characters, no exceptions. The genders are your choice.
IX. No reservations, I'm afraid. First come, first serve. That doesn't mean the first person to submit their characters will be accepted, so if you see people have already submitted, give it a try. You still have a shot if I need to unfortunately reject someone's applications.

And You Are...?

Please create two. It's preferable that you submit both at the same time.

Code: Select all
[b]Name:[/b]
[b]Age:[/b]
[b]Appearance:[/b] (Description, please)
[b]Wolf Appearance:[/b] (Description or real picture)
[b]Personality:[/b]
[b]History:[/b]
[b]Other?:[/b] (Does your wolf have a nickname? Do you have some kind of disorder or disability? Any tidbits you want to throw in, add them here)
[b]First Post:[/b] (As said in the rules, I need a 1-2 paragraph "first post" of your character. It won't really be your first post, just an example of your writing. Have your character do whatever it wants. It can be really simple if you'd like, like getting out of bed or grabbing food or something.)

Asher Lewis
The early Autumn air was still comfortable, but the occasional wind had a chilling bite to it. Not that it matter though, the bonfire that Asher had played for his family would make the camp warm and a great place for a start-of-winter celebration. Sure, not everybody liked winter, but it was no reason to cancel what could be a great get-together after the stress of the school week. Though a lot of the pack members were out of high school, everybody enjoyed a Saturday night.
There was about two hours before sunset, and Asher was already out in the woods, in their usual spot about a quarter mile from the lake. It was five in the evening, and he hoped Riley would actually do her part in bringing the hot dogs and hamburgers. The others were supposed to bring chips, or some other snack foods. Of course, there'd be a mess to clean up in the morning after he'd changed, but Asher would do clear-up duty as usual. He didn't mind it.
A chilly breeze went by and sent goose-flesh rising up all over Asher's back. It wasn't enough to make him shiver, but he threw on his jacket. It would keep him warm until he had a warm coat of real fur. Returning to the firepit he'd just made, he threw in some logs while he collected dry brush to toss in as well. It was a BYOC night--bring your own chair, or sit on the ground. Asher had chosen the latter.
A snap of a stick caught his immediate attention, and he looked to the east with caution, mentally preparing himself to run or fight if needed.

Riley Hill
Oops... Riley thought, as her footsteps gave away her cover. She had fully intended to scare the daylight out of Asher, but she'd misplaced a step. She laughed quietly to herself. "You're too uptight, Asher." Being the quiet one he was, he shrugged and just smiled. He looked relieved. Riley wondered how anyone could be so on-edge all of the time.
Though she had carried two trays of cooked food all the way out here, her extra coordination kept her from tripping over her feet. Oh, man, Asher would have been mad at her. She couldn't help it when her imagination made her smile again. Riley set down the two trays of food on the white table that Asher had set up.
Looking out at the lake in the distance, she watched a gust of wind carry little waves over the surface. She wished it wasn't too cold to jump in anymore. It was almost more exciting to have summer fun as a wolf. Of course, you couldn't have huge bonfire parties in summer.
"The others on their way?" She asked, sitting herself down on the grass before she stretched her legs out in front of her and lounged. She wondered when Asher would start the fire. She was about to get her answer.
"I think so. I'll start the fire when everyone's here."

James Smith
James looked up into the sky, it was still light for now, but soon the sky would become darker and the fire coulours of the sunset would appear in the sky. Some called sunset romantic, others a depressing sign of another day ending, to Jame though it was the start of a whole new world, a world where he could do things that humans wouldn't allow him to do and things even he himself couldn't do in his human form. He gave a smile and continued walking. Harry would be coming in a minute, since James was passing their apartment now. The only reason Harry wasn't with James right now was because James had had to work today, doing his day job as a cashier. Which was kind of stupid considering his condiction and the way he looked, his scruffy hair and slightly musclaur build giving people the impression of a thug. That was a commen misconception when it came to him though so he didn't mind it so much, besides as long as someone knew he wasn't that kind of guy he could take all the beating about in the world. He stopped thinking as he heard familaur footsteps and smelt a familaur scent.
There you are...

Harry King
It's annoying Harry thought as he wandered about the house, school had finished long ago and now Harry had nothing better to do than wait, yet again, for James to walk past their apartment, in a half-assed attemt of a pick up.
"I don't believe him, he could at least come in here and get me rather than relying on the off-chance that i'll be looking out the window all evening so i know when we have to go..." Harry sighed, taking another wander around the small room that he had called home for the past year. It was nothing speacial, it had a bed, wardrobe, bathroom, a small mat and pictures on the walls. When Harry had come here a year ago he had expected something better than this. He had expected a house with two floors with 2 bedrooms as well as some other rooms but instead he had gotten a one room apartment where he and his roomate/guardian James and he would rotate around sleeping on the bed and sleeping on the floor, getting food and cooking it. It was a good syatem in some ways but in tohers not so much, but hey what system is perfect?
He looked out the window again and then saw what he had been waiting for, the black scruffy hair and green eyes told Harry that James had come to pick him up, he smiled and grabbed a fold-up chair for the bring-your-own-chair night with the pack. Heck if he was sitting on the cold floor like James did. He ran out of the apartment and met up wth James who already seemed to know he was there.
"You know, you could at least once actually come and get me." James turned and looked at Harry right in the eyes, which Harry had learned to convey as messages. "ok, ok... but you're carring this chair to th bonfire" Harry said as he passed James the chair. Then it turned quiet between the two, with no real conversations until sunse when they both changed and James to speak to Harry better, until then though it was just a normal above average day.

Jake Fare
Jake pushed through the woods and saw the clearing in the distance. The sun was already setting, making the figures that appeared to be Asher and Riley no more than shadows sitting on the ground beside a heaping pile of sticks. He hugged his jacket closer, wishing they already had the bonfire going. It was strange that he was a "wolf" but didn't have any particular fondness for the crisp, bitter cold. Though he did enjoy it when it snowed. He clutched the bag of plain potato chips tighter in his hand and walked over the roots and rocks until he reached his friends. He walked into the clearing to stand beside them and huffed. "Sorry," he apologized and held up the chips, "didn't bring the beer this time... again." He smiled, joking because everyone knew he said that almost every time they had a bonfire and because Jake didn't drink anyways. He exhaled and sat cross-legged on the ground. "So, when are we going to get this thing going? We only have a little while before nightfall, and we can't exactly roast burgers and hot-dogs then can we?" He grinned.

Mona Carson
"Be quiet Jake," Mona mumbled on instinct when she heard him interrogating their friends, as she walked out of the woods carrying armfuls of junk. A large fold out chair, two bottles of soda balanced on top of it, a bag of cups dangling at her side, and a box of Debbie blueberry muffins. When she reached where everyone else was sitting she sat it on the ground, only to be met with Jake's crooked smile and questioning eyes.

"Really Mona? You didn't have to be so considerate." He started reaching for the box of Debbies but Mona quickly bent down to slap his hand away, like a scolding mother. "What!"

"These... are for me," She lied.

"No they're not."

Her expression didn't change. "Well... wait until everyone gets here, you pig." After arranging her things on the table she unfolded her chair and sat down in it, crossing her arms over her stomach as she sank into it. She looked at Asher and Riley and smiled, though it could barely be seen. "Hi guys."

Delilah

Delilah heard the rest of the pack before she saw them. Smiling, she paused and closed her eyes so she could just listen to their voices. She absolutely loved every last one of them. She could tell the everyone except her and Daniel were there already, by listening. Trying to be as quiet as possible, she stepped closer to them and pounced playfully on one of the pack members. She couldn't tell who it was, until they both fell. It was Asher. He was on his back, and she had landed so she was lying across his stomach. "Hi Asher!" She giggled, happy with her entrance.

Daniel

Delilah had left without him, of course. With his hands in his pockets and his eyes following the little trail his sister had gone off on. A shopping bag hung from his wrist. He had brought cheese and soda. It was best not to ask why he had brought cheese- it was a long story. Dan plopped down next to Jake, sighing at his twin. "Cette fille est absolument fou." He muttered, and Delilah shot him a glare. "Je ne suis pas, vous intimider." Their father had been French, and they grew up knowing it. Sometimes they would speak in French, without even realizing it.

Asher Lewis
Asher greeted everyone as they arrived in an official fashion, before being pounced on. Instantly, he was alert for danger and ready to throw off the person. But suddenly he heard a giggle, and he smiled, knowing there wasn't danger. Laying on his back on the ground, he laughed. "Hello, Delilah. Is your brother on his way, too?"
Instinctively, Asher's hands wanted to place themselves on her waist. He almost blushed at the thought, and kept his arms in control. Before he began to feel uncomfortable, this was practically his sister after all, he gently put his hands on her shoulders and moved her off of him. He sat up straight with one leg stretched out and one arm resting on his bent knee. As he waited for an answer from Delilah, he decided to go ahead and have the fire lit while they wait for the last two of the pack. But not before pushing some buttons of another sister. "Riley, be a doll and light the fire?"

Riley Hill
Riley laughed and grinned at Jake. "It's no surprise, you never bring the beer. One day, I'm gonna buy a shitload of beer and just get you wasted, Jake." Her teasing grin continued, knowing that Jake didn't drink. She didn't have anything against it, she just liked to joke with people.
Soon after, Asher told her to light the fire, and she looked at him in shock. She brought her dropped jaw back up, but she couldn't think of a very witty response in time. Asher had her good with that one. She gave him her sweetest, most innocent voice and said, "I'll be a doll and light you on fire, dear."

James Smith
Time had passed since James had gone to pick Harry up and now he was walking with him side-by-side, carringing a fold up chair underneath his arm. It was queit as the sky started to turn, James could see the forest now and started to run, most likely he and Harry were late... again. James was rarely on time for anything but he didn't want ot miss the bonfire night, he loved seeing the orange flames dance their destructive dance as the others talked about vairous subjects and experiences were swapped. In this way he liked being in a pack, where he could hear another's voice but not have it directed at him, to see a person but not have them look at you. He looked back and made a symbol with his hands which basically said
Hurry up! We are already late!

Harry King
Harry sighed, he hated autum, he was more a spring kind of guy, he hated death. He thought about meaningless things as he walked with James, sometimes directing thoughts at him but knowing they wouldn't reach.
Sometimes i wish you could actually speak more... i've heard very few things from you in your actual voice and that was a year ago... He thought as he put his hands behind his head, looking up to see if anything interesting would cacth his eye, though sadly nothing did.
As James and Harry entered the woods Harry already felt happier, he loved the woods. He looked as James made a signal to hurry and then shouted
"You know i have a bad leg!" though as he wacthed James run away he sighed and ran after him. He was a good runner, but only at short distance because of his bad leg. Jams and Harry entered the clearing not long after and saw that the rest of the pack had gathered and that the fire was about to be lit. That was when he remembered that they were supposed to have bought something.
"Uh hi... sorry we forgot the stuff... again..." he quickly diverged from he subject, James would proably find out a way to help later on, he could be a good negotiater and was generally quite wise on occasion as was Harry "so let's get this party started. James set down Harry's chair and then sat down on the ground next to it.

Jake Fare
"That might not be such a good idea Riley," Jake said to the girl, right before Asher was bounced on by a bounding and bubbly Delilah. He turned and waved a hand at Dan before continuing. "I'm not sure what kind of person I'd be drunk," he teased. He listened as Asher asked Riley to light the fire, and, as usual, Riley gave him a very Riley like comeback.

He chuckled and reached into his jacket pocket for his lighter, because, although he didn't drink, he might have smoked a few cigarettes on occasion. "I've got it," he said to them, and reached in and grabbed a bit of kindle to set on fire. He flicked the lighter and held the tiny flame to the bundle until it started burning, then placed it at the bottom of the pile. He hoped that Asher remembered to douse it with gasoline before hand, but either way, it was fall and the brush was pretty dry and quickly caught fire after babying the piece of kindle for a bit. Jake leaned back on his hands as the space was filled with a warm, soft, orange glow. "Ooh," he grinned, "much better."

Mona Carson
She lightly smiled, like she was sleepy, and nodded as all of her new friends gathered. She hadn't known them for long, but already felt closer to them than her own family... though she never told them that. She wasn't ever the best at showing affection like that. Here she felt at peace. Asher's simplicity and responsibility. Riley's courage and strength. Delilah's, though sometimes annoying, cheerfulness and energy. Daniel's protectiveness. James'... well she didn't really know too much about James. And Harry's helpfulness and childishness. And of course Jake, her big "brother." They were all so different but formed the perfect family. And Mona found that they provided the best inspiration for her songs, aside from her nights as a wolf. She wondered what they'd think if they knew her songs were inspired by them.

Mona pulled her feet up into her chair and hugged her knees, waiting for the fire to get started. "I brought a lot of food this time," Mona said to James and Harry, knowing all along that they would probably forget theirs again. Though she wasn't going to tell them she was being thoughtful about it, well she didn't want to. "So don't worry about it.... But don't eat a lot! Um, I kind of wanted some to bring home."

She jumped a little as the little kindle Jake had gotten lit earlier suddenly consumed the bonfire stack. She watched as the orange flames started hopping around at the top. Like little fire demons dancing about the surface of the sun.

Delilah

Delilah smiled as Asher pushed her off of him. She would've been completely comfortable staying there. Even since she was little and her father rejected her, she had an endless hunger for affection. Any skin-on-skin contact make her happy. Even if it was just her hand brushing someone else's. Sitting up between Asher and Mona, she moved both of her hands just slightly so they where touching each of them just a little bit. At first she was sure it creeped out the rest of the pack that she almost always liked to be touching someone, but they seemed to understand. "Yeah Daniel's over there hiding behind Jake." Smiling, She pointed to her twin, who seemed oblivious.

Daniel

Daniel glanced back at the woods, seeming on edge. He just felt like something was going to happen. Normally he was focused on protecting Delilah, but when he was with his pack he watched over all of them. Even if Delilah wasn't his twin he'd keep special eye Delilah. Especially when she was a wolf. mostly because she couldn't keep up with the others, and she couldn't run for very long. The scarring on her lungs didn't normally effect her, but she normally kept to the back of the pack when she was in wolf form. "Soda anyone?" He called, holding up some coke.

James Smith
James smiled when Mona said she had bought lots of food and that him and Harry could share. He knew she was being thoughtful, even though she was hiding it well. He liked Mona for her hidden personality, she was a wolf of mystery as was James and for this James could fell a commen connection between the two. O course he rarely spoke to her, as with the rest of the pack but sometimes he would feel the urge to start a conversation, though he knew that she maybe wouldn't talk to him. She probably had the same opinon of him as some of the others, a rouge with his sanity held by a thin string. James banished the thought from his mind, it would do no good to be depressed right now when the pack was supposed to have a good night out. He looked over at Daniel and saw he was tense.
Looks like something interesting is going to happen tonight... he's rarely nervous like that

Harry King
Harry gave a sigh of relief at Mona's offer
"Thanks, you saved us... most likely James has forgotten to eat again..." he was really just trying to make conversation. Unlike James Harry wasn't a born loner and wanted to be with others, the death of his parents further pushing him to this. James had offered a way out a year ago and they had become like brothers in a way, but Harry still wanted some sort of contact with someone who could actually speak more than once a year. He looked over to Delilah, barely touching the hands of Asher and Mona. She was clingy to be sure, but hey he couldn't talk much.
He looked up, soon the night would fall and all of them would transform. He loved being a wolf more than anything, certain things may stop him being truely free but he was more free in his wolf form than he was in his human form. He just hoped nothing bad would happen tonight and that it would pass with some good memories.

Asher Lewis
The fire exploded to life, bring forth warmth and dancing orange to the little party. There was an instant change in temperature especially near his foot, which were a little too close to the firepit now that he thought about it. He scooted his leg up and wrapped his arms around his knees, letting the fire warm him up. Sunset would be arriving soon, and he couldn't wait. He always felt uncomfortable in this body, never quite knowing how to act. Being the wolf meant being completely natural, because animals didn't worry about their social status.
Standing up, he left Delilah to put a hot dog on a stick to cook. It wouldn't be perfect, but it'd soothe his hunger. He felt good. The moon was already visible, the sky was full of beautiful colors, and he could feel in every cell of his body that he'd be changing soon. It was when he felt most light on his feet. Once the hot dog was cooked, he put it on a bun and ate it quickly. He wished time would fly by faster. And shortly, it did. The sun was already at the horizon, and he was nearly dancing across the grass waiting for the change.

Riley Hill
Riley smiled at Harry and James. "Yeah, bro, no worries. We've got plenty of food." Especially since Riley didn't plan to eat. She usually preferred to eat a large dinner, and then get out into the forest for the change. Though she did enjoy the chase for wild food, the bloody mess around her mouth when she changed back to this form tended to be difficult to explain to people. Plus, the taste in her mouth was terrible, quite the opposite from her wolf's taste.
As the sun began to sink lower, she felt her heart start pounding. She heard it in her ears, and felt her chest thundering inside. She laid down on the grass, staring up at the leafy canopy that the trees created for them. A wind rustled through them, and she picked off a leaf that had fallen on her chest. There was a tingle running down her spine that was impossible to ignore, but always difficult to determine whether it was painful, or just really tingly. Imagine your entire spine vibrating, and that's what it felt like. Though nobody usually changed at the exact same time since all bodies are different, the oncoming change did seem kind of early. She decided to ask, "You guys feeling it yet?"
She hoped they were, she really did. Lately, not everyone has been able to phase right away, or even correctly, which has been quite the scare for the pack lately. Never have any of them had a problem changing, at least not until this past month. She prayed no one would have problems tonight; it'd be a major downer.

Jake Fare
Jake shivered slightly as the night continued to grow darker. It wouldn't be long now. He kept his eyes trained on the horizon, waiting for the world to finally be consumed by the dark. In the meantime, he had a nice cozy fire in front of him and was enjoying the warmth. He always enjoyed the warmth. He roasted him a hot dog over the fire, then another one, ate two packs of blueberry muffins, and some of chips he brought that he kept leaning over to offer Dan. It was amazing how much Jake could eat but really never gain any weight. Most of the fat was worked off, and a lot also turned to muscle due to his night runs. He sighed and patted his stomach, deciding he had had enough.

"I'm feeling a little full," he replied to Riley when she asked if they could feel anything yet, and he sighed contently. He tried to smile, but there was a quirk in his mouth that revealed his apprehension. There had been something off about the change as of late that had everyone edgy. They didn't anticipate the change any less. They wanted it just as bad. And that's why it was so worrying. In case anything went wrong. Because Jake was around the same age and went through his Moon Age around the same time as Riley, it was expected that they changed at around the same time. He was sure he would start feeling it soon.

Mona Carson
Mona smiled slightly as Delilah touched her hand. They were only a year apart in age and could probably become close friends if Mona let them... but she didn't. Something about Delilah got on her nerves sometimes, like an over energetic little sibling. It was tiring. She would have felt some sympathy for Daniel if she hadn't figured Daniel really did enjoy looking after and taking care of his twin. Despite her annoying moments, there was something cute about Delilah. Unlike Mona. She kind of wished she could be as open about her affections as Delilah was. She stopped smiling and huffed, moving her hand away and putting it under her arms, then stared off towards the lake.

Mona didn't eat a lot in front of others. She never did because it always made her feel self conscious. Not because she thought she was fat. In fact, it was the opposite. In school she was rarely able to enjoy a meal without someone making a comment about her skinny figure or saying that she needed to eat more. It's not like the comments were always mean-spirited, though they often were, but nonetheless...

When darkness was approaching and everyone was quickly trying to finish their food before the night set in, Mona looked disappointingly at her almost empty Debbie box, a pout like a child's spread across her face. She had to blame someone for this. "Jake! You annoying weirdo!" She held the box up near her head and shook it. "What did I say about my Debbies!?" Jake looked at her, his eyes wide and pretty much saying "Uh, do you realize what you're arguing with me about?" Mona suddenly became conscious of what she was doing and sunk a little further in her seat and sat the box in her lap. She shivered, a hot shiver. That little playful outburst seemed to have gotten her heart pumping and feeling a little excited. Her legs started to tingle and the sensation started to move upwards. "Don't worry Riley," she assured her, "I feel it won't be too much longer."

James Smith
"You guys feeling it yet?"
If James could have responded he would have said yes, or maybe he wouldn't have done, who really knows. He could feel his bones become lighter and his muscles heavier at the same time. The vibrating which some would call painful though to him it was refreshing and sometimes relaxing tingle. James didn't try and hide his smile as his eyes started to brighten. It would not be long now and when the time came he would be truely free of his human bonds, well except his disease which travelled with him to even this form, which sometimes he cursed but other times he praised. He looked over at Harry, their moon ages were a fair distance apart, meaning that James would always feel the change fist then Harry after about ten minutes.
Lately Harry had been saying that changing for him had been getting harder, though he wrote it off as only having been a werewolf for a year now, though James was worried. He may have been overreacting but he felt that the cause was probably much worse than simple inexperience.

Harry King
Harry sighed, already some of the others had started to experience their changes, James being one of them. He hated being one of the last ones that changed. It meant for a short period of time that everyone had left him again for a better exsitence someplace else, which always reminded him of a line he had heard one of his family say at his parent's funeral, though most likely not of spite. But how was it supposed to be a comfort? Harry did not know the answer and probably never would until maybe he had a grandchild of his own and could tell them the same thing, but that was a long way off and maybe not even possible. Most people saw Harry as a spoilt rich kid who had now been kicked into the world which others had to live in.
He sighed, decicding against having another hot-dog, he had lost his appeitite for now. He just hopd, more than anything, that his loved ones wouldn't leave him again... he hoped... but hoping cannot stand against fate.

Delilah

Delilah lied out on her stomach. Her knees had begun to hurt, making it nearly impossible for her to stay with her legs crossed. She stretched her arms, careful not to bother the others sitting around her. Her hands curled into tight fists as she closed her eyes. It was easy for those around her to tell when she was about to shift- she was a lot quieter and more mello. As a wolf she seemed a little more mother-like and thoughtful. This was an odd state for her, somewhere between wolf and human. Mona had moved away from her, and she just sighed. It didn't seem to bother her much, though. She being close to her, but could survive without it.

Daniel

Daniel flinched as he watched the others start to feel the tickle of a change. He didn't feel anything yet. Normally by now he was as ready to change as Delilah. Letting out a little annoyed groan, he rested his head in his palm. "I don't feel anything." he muttered, glancing at Harry. He didn't seem ready to change, either. Maybe something was going to hold him back tonight, or maybe the change would just be a little late. He closed his eyes, waiting for the slightest hint of a change.

Asher Lewis
The atmosphere around the bonfire had changed. Though the fire stayed the same, flickering up towards the stars and providing them with warmth, the vibe had reversed. The ones who felt the change were both excited to, but also worried for their brothers and sisters. But Asher's mood plummeted from "having fun" to downright "sad". He could feel a flicker of the change in his spine and skin, but it was so subtle he could barely feel it while the others were already on their ways to wolves. He didn't move from his spot on the ground, but closed his eyes and focused on breathing, somehow hoping he could will the change to come.
After a moment, he could tell that the feeling was getting stronger, but at a pace much slower than usual. "We really need to find out what's doing this to us," he said quietly. He hoped his change was on the way.

Riley Hill
Riley nodded in agreement, and almost felt bad. Yeah, this was her favorite part of the day. But she was having no trouble phasing (tonight, anyway) and she knew the frustration that her pack must be feeling right now. It was a heavy feeling in the air as the sun said its goodbyes.
She could try to keep her wolf at bay, but a week ago everyone had decided that would be too dangerous right now. If you felt the change, take advantage of it. None of them knew if keeping themselves human for an hour or so would keep them human for the rest of the night now... So trying to keep her twinge of guilt at bay, she focused on all the sensations that came with becoming a wolf. The sounds that the bones make while they're adapting a new shape and grinding against each other. The tickling feeling of winter-coat fur growing in through your skin. And the senses. Oh, the senses. It was always the first part of the change. Smell was especially increased, along with hearing, but the colors in vision changed. While you once saw all colors of the world, you only saw a few in this shape. It only took a short minute for the new red wolf to scramble off her back, the way she had been laying as a human. She sat on her haunches and eyed the others, her head and ears lowering a bit as the feeling of guilt came back. Thankfully that was a very human emotion, one this body couldn't comprehend as powerfully.

James Smith
James heard Asher when he said about finding out what was wrong. He agreed with a slight nod and then sat down again, leting the changes unfurl naturally. At least he was a ctually changing today properly, he himself had sometime experienced the change later than the others, ut he had always changed eventually. He felt the slight fuzziness as his almost jet black fur started to crop up around his body, as scruffy as his hair was in human form. His skull changed shape and gave him a snout. As the final change of Jame's tail, which was slightly more grey than the rest of his coat appeared, he smiled, baring his theeth.
Well, this is great... i just hope that Harry changes... otherwise it's going to be murder being with him tomorrow

Harry King
Harry looked over at James as the final pieces of his change occuered, then saw him staring at Harry, with the kind of look that conveyed pity.
"Hey, don't look at me like that... i'll change... you'll see" he said as he turned away, looking into the darkness. He could feel a slight fuzzy feeling but apart from that nothing, his change was coming but it was slow... too slow for Harry's liking. He wished sometimes they didn't have these long transformations and they could change at a drop of a hat, who knows maybe they once could have done that through training themselves to do it quickly. Though to this pack it seemed their transformations took an average of 3 minutes to change completely and now it was even more due to some people taking much longer to change. The fuzziness was starting to rise now, he would change probably in about a minute.

Mona Carson
Mona felt the change become stronger now, maybe too strong. She shivered a little from the vibrations that she felt shook her back and stood up from her chair with her arms by her side and eyes closed. Listening to the sounds of the night and melting into them as her senses became heightened. She felt her skin peel away and when she opened her eyes again she stood there on all fours, a petite, light brown and red wolf. She shook her body out, trying to rid herself of the feeling of just how weird that one change was, dismissing it as her imagination. She looked around at those who already changed. Riley. James. And she. It was odd. Sometimes James changed later than others, and her friend Jake changed around the same time as Riley and certainly before Mona did. Thinking it, she turned her head to Jake and whined as she tilted her head. Concerned.

Jake Fare
Jake shrugged at Mona's whimper, which was like a puppy that had spotted something that didn't belong and was afraid of it. Today was simply an off day, that was all it was, he kept thinking. It was probably because he didn't think about it enough and had gotten too caught up in the normalcy of the bonfire. Now, he tried to do as some of the others did. He leaned back and laid on his back and stared up at the stars and the moon, felt the cool grass underneath his skin, listened to the chirping of the crickets beside his ears. His first scent that opened up was his smell. He smelt the burnt, chard wood from the fire. It was a good, hardy smell. The smell of grass was crisp and clear and subtle. The smell of food was, well it was food. His body started to tense, and then tingle and numb like his limbs had fallen asleep and they shook from the inside. His blood started to run hot. He closed his eyes. When he opened them again. He was seeing the world through a new light. As a strong and healthy grey wolf. He rolled over on his belly and rested his head on his paws as he waited for the others. Please, please change, he willed them.

Delilah

Delilah closed her eyes as a shudder ran through her. Shifting was as easy as breathing for her, compared to Daniel who was lying on his stomach, waiting for the slightest hint of a change coming. She could feel the world changing around her, becoming louder and defined. Standing up and shaking out her gray/white coat, she opened her eyes. Everything around her seemed much more vivid and alive. She excitedly turned to the others, only to see Daniel and Harry. Harry seemed like he was about to change, though. Lilla rested her head on her twin's stomach and blew hot air at his face.

Daniel

Daniel groaned and ran a hand through his auburn hair. The change was taking way too long to come. Something was off. Absently, he rested a hand on Delilah's side. Unknowingly, he had rested his hand on a scar that loving old daddy had given her. The scar was small, only about an inch long, from where her father had burned her. He didn't realize until Lilla let out a loud snarl. It didn't seem like Delilah had really been expecting herself to snarl at him and curl her lip back, exposing her sharp teeth. If she had been human, she probably just would've swatted away his hand. It had been wolf instinct to tell him 'back off', but it had shocked the both of them. That seemed to hurry up his change as he started to feel his senses heighten. Clearly feeling very guilty, Delilah stepped back and glanced at the forest.

Harry King
The tingle was growing stronger now and as Harry looked around he saw that most of the others had changed aside from him, spare Daneil who seemed to be slightly experiencing it. He saw Delilah growl at Daneil for him to back off and for a few minutes Harry wondered why, then decided he wouldn't ask, it was probably personal. Luckily, none of the pack apart from James knew Harry's whole past apart from that he had once been a fairly rich kid who lost it all and ended up with James a year ago. He felt his senses heighten slightly at his own emotions. He smiled, finnaly the change was coming. First it was small changes, like his body gaining the instinct to walk on 4 legs then major, like the adding of fur and transformation of the body. When it was done though where Harry had once stood was now a grey wolf with a pure white stripe on his back that extended down his whole spine.

James Smith
James smiled when he saw Harry change
I thought you weren't going to change today... what took you so long?
Shut up... Harry replied It was just... later than usual today
That's what you say everyday... James thought Anyway he turnede his head to Daneil i hope he changes soon, he is the last to change today and in my opinon the least likely to do so
Yeah... but he'll be fine and once he changes we can finnaly get the real fun started Harry thought. It was nice when he could talk to James, though it was only for a short period of time.
I hope your right

Asher Lewis
Seeing most of his brothers and sisters already changed just dampened his mood further. That tingle in his spine, however, was still a ray of hope. He tried to be patient, and stared up at the moon that rested in the last orange stretch of the sky that the dark blue loomed over. The night sky was waiting for its turn to, only that was a sure thing. That happened every night, no matter what. And for a long time, that's how his phasing was...
After a few minutes of painfully slow little tingles and itchy skin, he finally felt the transformation taking over. He welcomed it with joy as his sandy fur broke the skin, his back knees reversed (though that usually was kind of painful), and human instincts faded away for this animal's. The sandy wolf already started trotting around with a toothy grin, just happy to be among the other wolves. After pawing at a few members of his pack playfully, he finally slowed down and waited for the last wolf to join them, though it was clear on his face that Daniel was on his way.
"We all made it," he thought to the entire pack, with a happy vibe running around his head.

Riley Hill
When Delilah snapped at Daniel, it brought her fur to stand on end a little. Ears raised toward the little tiff, she let it slide once she knew it wasn't any argument to worry about. It was a wolf instinct, as any other animal's, to react to the sounds of aggression, hurt, or excitement. And watching Asher trot around all happy, it made her light on her feet and she almost wanted to take off in a run.
But seeing that the whole pack had managed to phase tonight, the red wolf just stood from where she sat and kind of pranced in place.
"So what do you guys think? The usual patrolling, or seeking campers to freak out?" She herself wanted the latter, but with all the rogue activity lately she thought it would be better to check with the others for their opinion. There hasn't been a rogue in a few days, but she knew they could just show up anywhere. Sniffing the air as a breeze went by, she didn't smell anything off... just the life of the forest and a pack of wolves. But then again, she never had the best sense of smell in the group.

Jake Fare
Jake shook out his fur and padded over to sit by Mona. Even in wolf form she pretty much managed to scoff at him and moved a little further away. She seemed to become even more elusive than usual when she went wolf. The only one left to change was Daniel, but somehow Jake had a good feeling that they were all going to make if for the night. "Good," Jake said, the silent thought passed to everyone who had changed. "I'm all down with scaring campers," Jake said, in his mind of course. "Uh..." He was about to say something else but was stopped by the sound of Mona's sniffling.

Mona Carson
She picked up her head as she noticed Jake turn to her. "Oh, nothing," she thought, "it's probably just the smell of food lying around. It's messing up my sense of smell." What Mona lacked in size compared to the rest, she made up in with her sense of smell and hearing. She had to have something to rely on when it came down to survival. Her ears perked as she heard Delilah snarl, then the sound of a twig snapping in the distance, like something else being startled by the noise. She wanted to attribute her uneasiness to the irregularity in their changing lately, but she really didn't think that was it. She felt like they were being watched. "I say we should patrol for a while," Mona thought to everyone. Jake plopped down on his belly beside her like a disappointed puppy. He was probably sure she was going to disagree with him anyways just to ruin his fun, cause he was convinced she was a party-pooper. "But..." She looked to the others. "James, Harry? What do you think?"

James Smith
James noticed when Mona grew more tense.
Is she hearing something... what's going on here he thought to himself. He heard Mona ask him and Harry what they wanted to do, scare campers or patrol. James was never one to want to scare others, despite his appearence, so neve really wanted to scare the campers.
I wish to patrol... this time he didn't use Harry as a medium, his slightly low tone of thought being projected into Mona's mind.

Harry King
What! Harry practically shouted to James, for one he had not wanted to go and scare the campers, which was something Harry normally wanted to do. Secound was the fact that he had not heard James speak to him so it implied he had spoken to Mona himself, well with his thoughts anyway.
Harry sighed, giving a slight huff.
Fine... i will stay here also if that is what the majority of the group is doing... just know i don't like it...

Asher Lewis
"I also think maybe we should patrol tonight," he voiced his opinion. Though he would be more than happy to scare the life out of campers in the early hours of the morning, he knew it was just his happy-I'm-a-wolf side getting the better of him. So he fought it. He did what he didn't want to do, for the sake of safety. He sometimes wished the humans could protect themselves from the rogues. Asher sniffed the air instinctively, but nothing unusual came through his nose. He knew just how powerful a separated pack that was scouting could be, though. They'd find an intruder in their territory within an hour if there was one.

Riley Hill
Riley snorted and shook her furry head in disapproval. "You guys are no fun..." she grumbled in her thoughts. She knew that they were right, but her stubborn side kept her from really seeing that. Well if they were going to rain on her parade, she felt she at least deserved to pick her trail first. "Dibs on the lakeside trail up to the North border," she claimed. It was moments like these when he immaturity peeked through, but her irritation always prevented her from seeing that. She heard Asher's thoughts as he spoke to the pack next.
"I'll take whatever trail is left, so you guys take your pick."
Riley rolled her golden eyes, and kept her next thought to herself. Asher's such goody-goody. Jeez. She began to trot off in the direction of the lake, leaving the smell of hot dogs and chips and soda behind. "Anyone want to run the lakeside trail with me?" She asked.

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Sorry it took me. I posted. :)

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

I don't want this to die, either. D:
I messaged Horseygirl and let her know it was her turn to post, but she hasn't written me back. I'll write a post tomorrow and we'll just have to continue. She's welcome to jump back in whenever, but I really don't want this to fade away.

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Ooh :(, I hope this doesn't die. Where is everyone?

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

I posted too, sorry i was waiting for somebody else to post before i did.

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Sorry about that XP... thought I'd get a chance to post before but always got caught up with something. Anyways, posted just now though :D!

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Anyone here? No one's posted in a while o:

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Woo, been one busy weekend. :) I should have a post up by the end of today :D

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

It's all good. It wasn't crappy. :) Glad your powers back on! That's never fun. My phone always seems to be dying too right before the power goes out at my house haha.

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

ahh, sorry it took so long. My power was out for a few days. >.<
Sorry if my post is a little crappy, I was being rushed.

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Not a problem :) We all have busy days. It took me a little while to post last time cause I kept having to do stuff either at home or running to stores haha.

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Sorry it took a while DX been a little busy with going to do family pictures and running errands and stuff :P bleh

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Haha, ya'lls name meanings are awesome. I looked mine up and Asher means Blessed or Happy, which is kinda funny cause he's prone to depression... And Riley's means courageous, which I suppose would fit her. :)

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Ok so James means he who supplants (basically meaning he who supercedes and replaces) while harry means Home ruler. Kind of funny as Harry last name is King.

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Hm I just looked up Delilah, which means night. And Daniel apparently means 'attractive' in two languages. XD

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Haha, nice! I love when stuff like that happens. I made a slayer character in a novel once named Damon--then I learned his name meant To Tame or Subdue. Which is basically the whole meaning of his existence haha. :)

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

So I love strange but great coincidences! I just decided to look up the name Mona for fun, because I was wondering how many people may actually have that name. So it came up on Wikipedia and listed name meanings under it, and it seems like I picked the perfect name for her even though I didn't look it up before hand :D. In Greek it translates to solitary/one. In Sanskrit it means alone/unique. In Teutonic it means loner. And in old English it means moon :).

In Persian it is an adjective for a God, meaning "the one who lasts forever :D"

It's like I have a name sixth sense o.O

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

Hey fellers. :)
I have some orientation thing I need to go to in two hours, so I'm not sure if I can type out a post before I leave but if not, I'll write as soon as I get back!

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

It's no problem. ;)

Re: [OOC] Moon Guardians

It's no problem. :) Sorry about that, I probably should have messaged you.
