"I'm going to my appointment with Dr. Asswipe....I mean Dr. Bently." He said hoping the nurses didn't catch what he said. he'll have to punish himself later, for being late and for saying that outloud. As soon as the nurses nodded, Jay took off again. He ran straight for the office. He again slid to a stop just outside Dr. Bently's office door. Seeing that it was closed, he knocked on it twice.
After waiting a minute or two, he didn't hear a response, so he just stood next to the door like he usually did.

" Watashi wa, anata-sai no josei de sukoshi jissai ni zan'nende wa nai. (I'm actually not sorry in the slightest, you old woman.) " She mumbled under her breath, hoping neither of them would know Japanese. She switched back to English to try to confuse them, " I-I got s-scared.."

" Ahh Mr. Soren, please, step into my office. You young man are very late." She spat the words at him. Otterly waited for the boy and his infectuous bird to stuffle inside before following him in, A creamy shadow hovering over his shoulders. She gently wiped her sleeve over the name plaque before pulling the door locked behind them. Inside she slowly slid off her white jacket, revealing a glarish floral shirt, hung the jacket neatly beside the door and gestured to the newly positioned seat infront of her desk.
"please, make yourself comfortable."

After fixing the pens and pencils, Jay noticed a picture frame crooked and got up and fixed it. It was the same picture frame that crooked everytime, but he couldn't just not like not not fix it. He then sat back down in his seat and watched Dr. Bently closely, not sure what they were going to go over this time. Maybe she was going to schedule another stupid group session to talk about their problems, maybe she was telling him that he was cured and he was to be released.

"It is your 5th year with us Mr. Soren. Tell me. What is difference are there between the boy in the picture and the boy before me?" Otterly pursed her lips in anticipation of yet another ridiculous yet obvious answer from the boy.

She forced herself to ignore the screaming, knowing that if she went to it she would get written up for both matters immediately. She leaned against the closed door of the unknown persons room and slid down it to sit on the floor, putting her hands to her ears to help. It didn't do much, but it did make her feel a bit more calm. She felt a few tears trickle down her face as she kept her dark eyes staring straight ahead of her.

"Perhaps Mr. Soren, perhaps". Its wasn't clear if Otterly was answering the boys waivering question or talking to herself, when with a swiftness that sent the parrot fluttering it wings for a second she slammed a shiny new packet of gold star stickers on to the desk. Peeking up with grinning eyes she whispered to Jay. "They were out of smiley faces so im afraid we are stuck with gold stars". There was nothing rewarding about this packet of stickers, Otterly voice made the seemily benile objects reveal a more sinister purpose. Next Otterly held up a drawing of Jays Bird. She had had one of the nurses take it earlier for her. She placed the drawing and gold Star stickers infront of the boy.
"There is nothing cute about scars Mr. Soren. and we are going to learn together about the evils of your disease." The whole period of her short speech Otterly ran her fingers over the drawing of the bird, as if the paper were going to spurt feathers and come to life beneath her touch.
"Your are one of the few patients here that were aloud to keep a pet. But i wonder how far the strings of love will stretch. Can love cure Mental disease?". Otterly was now leaning forward over her desk. Her breath consuming Jay's face and sending tiny balls of dust rolling across her desk towards him. "Do you love Morta?"

Jay looked at Dr. Bently not sure whats happening. "I don't have a disease, i'm perfectly normal...." Jay had to add into the conversation.

"This is what you are doing. Covering something of beauty with your 'smileys' ." Otterly took care to highlight each sound as she spoke. Stressing on the words 'you' and 'your'. She pressed her thumb over the star sticking it firmly in place and placed the drawing and the gold stars inside Jay's file. As she closed the cardboard holder she spoke firmly. Her voice emotionless and lacking any sign of sympathy. "For every smiley the nurses find from this day forward, i will place a Gold star on Morta. If they finish by covering her. She will dissappear." Otterly slid the file back into the desk draw and returned to her neutral pose, hands folded over her desk. "In both the symbolic and actual sense Mr.Soren."
Otterly now stood. She towered victoriously over the boy sat before her desk. Looking down at him like some unwanted disease. Then slid from behind her desk and to the door. Unlocked it and held it open for him to leave the pulsing blue veins on her hand catching the sunlight and sending grotesque shadows across her skin.
"Have I made myself clear?"

" OW!" The girl shrieked as she felt herself beginning to tremble, her fears overtaking her. She beat at the womans hand with her fists, not noticing the handcuffs she held in her other hand. The woman quickly clipped one around on of the girls wrists before clipping one on herself and swiftly walking out the door, dragging the terrified girl behind her.
" Walk time!" She announced cheerfully as she forced Alexandra to follow her outside.. Into the sunlight.
This is when Alexandra began screaming.. And didn't stop.

"Jacob, you need to go back to your room." the white coat said. "I don't have to stay in my room, i'm allowed out, just not outside without an escort." Jay replied. He then turned his attention back to Mike and examined every bit of him, making sure that he wasn't going to harm him nor his bird. Jay took his free hand and ran it through his hair, moving the strands out of his face. His deep blue eyes continued to scan the area.

"well Mr.Wolff where have you been" The man in the white coat asked Mike. "oh well i was taken some where for like an injection...and got lost." Mike said while lying about the getting lost part. "okay then, we believe you" the lady in the white coat said. "WHAT, no we don't, you might but i certainly dont" The guy in the white coat said freaking out about what the lady in the white coat said. "Well this is awkward, can you guys have your crazy marriage fights some where else" Mike asked to annoy them. "were not married" the lady in the white coat said. Then the white door to his room slammed open and Mike saw something, it was a blurry image it looked like a little girl around the age of eight or nine. Mike took a step back while starting to get paranoid. "What's wrong" the guy in the white coat asked. "Ghost" whispered Mike.

"I have had a marvellous idea." Otterly pronouced, her forced articulation causing an uneasy balance in her tone.
"Oh?" the nurse babbled, not really wanted to know more, convinced she was about to be out of a job...again.
Otterly began to pace, much like a fuelled tiger confined ina cage. " What if, you all..took the weekend off?" Otterly stopped pacing, only to stare down the nurse once more. This wasn't really a suggestion, nor a quection. Otterly was, as one of her great talents, telling the nurse to get out.
"Off? You mean as in, don't come back?" The nurse's voice began to quaver more, she was fighting tears.
"Of course your coming back you snivelling idiot, either to work or be locked away yourself at this rate, I mean, Im giving the nursing staff an enforced payed holiday." Otterly voice seemed to raise a little, but the nurse couldn't tell if it was the warning of a angry eruption or a volcanic idea. She didn't wait to find out. In a scurry motion the bowed to Otterly politely and moved her finger to the interior intercom microphone to announce the news. Before Otterly changed her mind.
"Attention all nursing staff, Attention all G Ward nursing staff. After night shift, Dr. Bently is putting into motion a EPH, i repeat, until nightshift Sunday, Dr. Bently is enforcing a EPH." The nurse lighty lifted her finger from the red button and her eyes darted to Otterly for a moment, as if looking for confirmation. Otterly rolled her eyes and snatched up the mic. In a robotic crackle she relayed the message once more before addressing the patients of G Ward.
"Children, this is Dr.Bently." Otterly voice was almost a chilling as she sweetly announced the news. "This weekend, I thought we all deserved some...me time. SO, For two full days, no nurses, no confinement..unless desired personally. Just Myself, and a locked ward. A little...holiday." Otterly thumped the mic back on the desk, so hard that it almost broke away from its stand. Before adding a blood curdling phrase directed at one person in particulair. A sort of tipping of the hat in thanks. "Gold stars for everyone."

There was a loud bang, the mic obviously having been dropped or hit off of something before one last phrase was heard in a slightly quieter version of the Dr's voice, but more creepy. "Gold stars for everyone."
Alexandra didn't know what the last meant but she did know she wanted back at her room. The nurse had taken hold of her wrist but the teenager turned and hit her quite suddenly, causing the woman to let go as the girl sprinted down the hall. " Hey! Get back here!!" The woman yelled as she followed at a slower pace, Alexandra ran into her hospital room and slammed the door right in the woman's face. She locked it and backed away from the door, a small smile on her lips. She felt a bit better already, this was going to be an enjoyable holiday.. Not. She only wished it would.

Otterly slid the Journal back into her pocket and continued her walk, leaning akwardly to peer into the tiny windows on the patients doors as she did so. Her monsterous shadow creeping along the walls and spilling through into the rooms as she did so. She stopped every now and then to take a longer look, rattling her finger tips over the glass before sliding away leaving a steamy imprint on the glass. When she finally reached her office at the end of the hallway she released a whispered chuckle.
"This is going to be ...Amusing."
