{ FAMILY }
Sam or Herc is the half son of the immortal king of the Greek Gods, Zeus. As such he has inherent properties in his blood that give him abilities far beyond that of mortal men and many other magical creatures. He is immortal and thus doesn't age. He doesn't get sick and most drugs/alcohol/poisons need to be in extremely large quantities in order to take effect. He has an ability to sense other godly presences nearby as they can also sense him. Sam's greatest power given to him by his demi god blood is his great, titanic strength. History remembers Hercules as the strongest man to ever live. History proves true in this case. If he so chose Sam could snap steel like twigs, wring diamonds from coal with his bare hands or even literally move mountains. Once prayed to as the greek God of Strength Hercules, now going by the assumed name of Sam Colt, is probably the physically strongest being alive. Due to his great strength and godly blood Sam also shows a considerable resistance to physical pain and injury. While not bullet proof by any means, blunt force trauma hardly seems to pester him and if and when he is injured he heals in a fraction of the time it would take a human being.
{ PERSONALITY }
Sam is a loner and has been for the past decade or so. He rarely stays in one place for more than a few weeks at most and is always on the road, traveling across the United States in his 1967 Chevrolet Impala. He moves so much out of fear his father will track him down and exact his vengeance upon him. As a result Sam has had to stay on the move, keeping a step ahead of his old man and his wrath. Due to this life style Sam has difficulty letting people into his life, knowing it's only temporary. He can be very guarded and is not a man who enjoys talking about his feelings or emotions. It's much easier to keep those around him at arms length to avoid anyone getting hurt. One thing about Sam he can never change from his days traversing the lost lands of ancient Greece is his need to right wrongs and ensure innocents are not harmed. Sam is a hero, perhaps the first hero, and as such goes out of his way to protect anyone he comes across. The times he does use his powers is often in the service of someone else. He is inherently a good person genuinely wants to help the world and people around him by protecting them from harm.

History
Hercules, Son of Zeus and a mundane. He was born in ancient Greece and rose to prominence after saving the beautiful daughter of the king of Thebes, Megara. Megara's beauty was unparallelled and their love and passion was unmatched. Alas, Hercules was no average mortal for he was the son of the Mighty Zeus and the king of the god's jealous wife was not about to allow the bastard child of her husband to live in peace and happiness. No, Hera had always hated Zeus' bastard children but Hercules most of all for he was the hardest to thwart. Even as a child when she sent venomous serpents into his cradle the then infant took hold of both snakes and choked the life out of them with strength not of a human child but of a god spawn. As Hercules grew so too did his strength to titanic proportions. Son when Hercules should have been his most joyous Hera brought his world crashing down around him. One night while Hercules slept she sent madness unto him so when he woke he saw his wife and three young children all as horrible monsters. He slew them with his bare strength and godly strength. It was only after they lay dead at his feet did the madness life and he saw the slaughter he had caused. Hercules yearned for death but would not be granted it's sweet relief. And so began the labors of Hercules, trials meant to cleanse his spirit of the blood of his family.
Each labor was more difficult than the last. Hercules was pit against man, beast and nature himself until finally he had to descend into Tartarus itself. At the completion of his trails Hercules was the greatest hero the ancient world knew. He had defeated the many headed hydra, skinned the Nemean lion, wrestled Cerberus himself yet the son of Zeus did not savor his victory. His labors done his soul should have been cleansed but Hercules could not forget the cold dead faces of his beloved wife and children. He could not sleep without nightmares of his deeds. There was no rest for the greatest hero of men so he set out across the world to find his own path, not one of redemption or salvation but of purpose.
Centuries past before the eyes of the god of strength and as it always did time began to heal his wounds. The pain of the past scarred over until it was but a distant, memory. Hercules valued the earth and it's people in a way other Olypians never could. He saw humanity, mundanes as they were called not as serfs beneath a gods heel but as equals. They were friends and comrades, brothers and sisters, and loved ones. Then the day came when his father, the mighty Zeus finally graced his son with his presence. He told Hercules how he and the other Olympians were going to retreat to Olympus and leave this world of men to the mundanes. The world of myth and legend, of monsters and magic had begun to reveal itself to humanity but the gods of old would not have it as such. Zeus was angered by this partnership, this olive branch between magic and the mundane. He, who was the king of Gods, would not shake hands with humanity. He would abandon them to their fate. Yet his son, would not. Hercules, the worlds strongest man, would stay and use his great strength to help mankind whenever and wherever he could. He saw earth and it's people as home, more of a home than Olympus could ever be. He told his father as such and Zeus, not accustomed to being refused, was enraged by his son's decision. He vowed to bring his wrath upon Hercules should he stay this course. Hercules, who had suffered his whole life, who had bore Hera's fury and so much more feared not his father and would not bend to his will. On that day Hercules abandoned Olympus and all it's denizens choosing Earth as his true home.
As the years passed Hercules assumed another name and a new identity. Going to an information broker, a powerful warlock named Crowley, Hercules was granted a new identity and name with false paperwork and identification as well as a few key methods to keep a step ahead of his godly father. Hercules was now known as Sam Colt. Crowley chose Sam or Sampson for another mythical strongman no doubt based off his own legend and Colt for an American gunsmith and ex associate of Crowley who he helped craft his masterpiece. So Sam Colt, began to travel his new home, The United States of America. He became lost in it's beauty. It's amber waves of grain and purple mountain majesties. America, where a man could reforge himself regardless of where he came from. Sam saw the value in that and admired the spirit of those strong, brave men who created the nation he now called home. Sam has been traveling alone through the country on a never ending road trip trying to live his life as best he can while remaining ahead of his fathers vengeance.
