BASICS

ImageImage{ FULL NAME }
Sampson 'Sam' Colt/ Hercules

{ AGE }
Actually 2494 years old but appears 24

{ SPECIES }
Immortal demi god

WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE?

Image{ HEIGHT & WEIGHT }
6'4" 225 lbs

{ APPEARANCE }
Sam is a big guy. Broad shouldered with thick, well defined muscle. He's tall as a moose which only adds to his sometimes imposing figure.

He has almost shoulder length brown hair and tends to keep his face clean shaven unless he hasn't managed to shave in a little while. He has blue eyes and strong jaw.

WHO ARE YOU?

Image{ SEXUALITY }
hetero

{ FAMILY }
Sam or Herc is the half son of the immortal king of the Greek Gods, Zeus. As such he has inherent properties in his blood that give him abilities far beyond that of mortal men and many other magical creatures. He is immortal and thus doesn't age. He doesn't get sick and most drugs/alcohol/poisons need to be in extremely large quantities in order to take effect. He has an ability to sense other godly presences nearby as they can also sense him. Sam's greatest power given to him by his demi god blood is his great, titanic strength. History remembers Hercules as the strongest man to ever live. History proves true in this case. If he so chose Sam could snap steel like twigs, wring diamonds from coal with his bare hands or even literally move mountains. Once prayed to as the greek God of Strength Hercules, now going by the assumed name of Sam Colt, is probably the physically strongest being alive. Due to his great strength and godly blood Sam also shows a considerable resistance to physical pain and injury. While not bullet proof by any means, blunt force trauma hardly seems to pester him and if and when he is injured he heals in a fraction of the time it would take a human being.

{ PERSONALITY }
Sam is a loner and has been for the past decade or so. He rarely stays in one place for more than a few weeks at most and is always on the road, traveling across the United States in his 1967 Chevrolet Impala. He moves so much out of fear his father will track him down and exact his vengeance upon him. As a result Sam has had to stay on the move, keeping a step ahead of his old man and his wrath. Due to this life style Sam has difficulty letting people into his life, knowing it's only temporary. He can be very guarded and is not a man who enjoys talking about his feelings or emotions. It's much easier to keep those around him at arms length to avoid anyone getting hurt. One thing about Sam he can never change from his days traversing the lost lands of ancient Greece is his need to right wrongs and ensure innocents are not harmed. Sam is a hero, perhaps the first hero, and as such goes out of his way to protect anyone he comes across. The times he does use his powers is often in the service of someone else. He is inherently a good person genuinely wants to help the world and people around him by protecting them from harm.

WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL WHAT?

Image Image{ LIKES }
Classic Rock, burgers, boxing, his car, professional wrestling, underdog stories, comic books, helping people, beer, family (even though he cannot spend anytime with his own)

{ DISLIKES }
Tofu, mind altering magic, bullies, oppression, his father, spicy foods, being alone

{ FEARS }
Being taken back to Olympus, his father's vengeance, failing someone in need, Zeus hurting someone he cares about to get to him

{ GOOD HABITS }
kindness, good will, hero, courage, self sacrifice

{ BAD HABITS }
Stubborn, impatient, often doesn't think things through

History

Image Image{ HISTORY }
Hercules, Son of Zeus and a mundane. He was born in ancient Greece and rose to prominence after saving the beautiful daughter of the king of Thebes, Megara. Megara's beauty was unparallelled and their love and passion was unmatched. Alas, Hercules was no average mortal for he was the son of the Mighty Zeus and the king of the god's jealous wife was not about to allow the bastard child of her husband to live in peace and happiness. No, Hera had always hated Zeus' bastard children but Hercules most of all for he was the hardest to thwart. Even as a child when she sent venomous serpents into his cradle the then infant took hold of both snakes and choked the life out of them with strength not of a human child but of a god spawn. As Hercules grew so too did his strength to titanic proportions. Son when Hercules should have been his most joyous Hera brought his world crashing down around him. One night while Hercules slept she sent madness unto him so when he woke he saw his wife and three young children all as horrible monsters. He slew them with his bare strength and godly strength. It was only after they lay dead at his feet did the madness life and he saw the slaughter he had caused. Hercules yearned for death but would not be granted it's sweet relief. And so began the labors of Hercules, trials meant to cleanse his spirit of the blood of his family.

Each labor was more difficult than the last. Hercules was pit against man, beast and nature himself until finally he had to descend into Tartarus itself. At the completion of his trails Hercules was the greatest hero the ancient world knew. He had defeated the many headed hydra, skinned the Nemean lion, wrestled Cerberus himself yet the son of Zeus did not savor his victory. His labors done his soul should have been cleansed but Hercules could not forget the cold dead faces of his beloved wife and children. He could not sleep without nightmares of his deeds. There was no rest for the greatest hero of men so he set out across the world to find his own path, not one of redemption or salvation but of purpose.

Centuries past before the eyes of the god of strength and as it always did time began to heal his wounds. The pain of the past scarred over until it was but a distant, memory. Hercules valued the earth and it's people in a way other Olypians never could. He saw humanity, mundanes as they were called not as serfs beneath a gods heel but as equals. They were friends and comrades, brothers and sisters, and loved ones. Then the day came when his father, the mighty Zeus finally graced his son with his presence. He told Hercules how he and the other Olympians were going to retreat to Olympus and leave this world of men to the mundanes. The world of myth and legend, of monsters and magic had begun to reveal itself to humanity but the gods of old would not have it as such. Zeus was angered by this partnership, this olive branch between magic and the mundane. He, who was the king of Gods, would not shake hands with humanity. He would abandon them to their fate. Yet his son, would not. Hercules, the worlds strongest man, would stay and use his great strength to help mankind whenever and wherever he could. He saw earth and it's people as home, more of a home than Olympus could ever be. He told his father as such and Zeus, not accustomed to being refused, was enraged by his son's decision. He vowed to bring his wrath upon Hercules should he stay this course. Hercules, who had suffered his whole life, who had bore Hera's fury and so much more feared not his father and would not bend to his will. On that day Hercules abandoned Olympus and all it's denizens choosing Earth as his true home.

As the years passed Hercules assumed another name and a new identity. Going to an information broker, a powerful warlock named Crowley, Hercules was granted a new identity and name with false paperwork and identification as well as a few key methods to keep a step ahead of his godly father. Hercules was now known as Sam Colt. Crowley chose Sam or Sampson for another mythical strongman no doubt based off his own legend and Colt for an American gunsmith and ex associate of Crowley who he helped craft his masterpiece. So Sam Colt, began to travel his new home, The United States of America. He became lost in it's beauty. It's amber waves of grain and purple mountain majesties. America, where a man could reforge himself regardless of where he came from. Sam saw the value in that and admired the spirit of those strong, brave men who created the nation he now called home. Sam has been traveling alone through the country on a never ending road trip trying to live his life as best he can while remaining ahead of his fathers vengeance.

It's New York City, both a famous and infamous place, the capital of supernatural life in the United States.

The mundane and the magic bump into each other on the busy streets and even work together, however some mundanes are so threatened and fearful of the supernatural that they don't allow supernaturals into their shops, so much so that they even coat their doors in the repellants, such as silver and iron. Although this is illegal, ever since the Act of Supernatural Rights, this doesn't stop these business owners from doing so, however these crimes only merit a fine which most businesses cannery easily pay off.

The clubs tend to be alive with the supernatural, witches and vampires even mix the drinks in these clubs, with the witches magical brewing skills and the vampires speed and senses these bartenders tend to brew the best drinks in the city. Vampires will be dancing the stages and platforms around the DJ, whilst the witches cast illusions to provide the lighting and ambience of the clubs.

The parks are where you would usually find the werewolf packs, outside of their bars, most of the parks within the city are actually contained within the werewolf lock in communities. However, central park is the one park off limits to all supernatural except the fae, it is one of the fae safe zones in the entire world, it also were one of the major fae portals is situated.

The black impala purred as it drove down the street. New York City, the veritable hub off all things supernatural and other wordy these days. The kind of place Sam usually did well to stay away from. Too many people, too many chances of something going wrong. Getting tracked down here would be a serious problem but he had no intention on staying long. He just needed to find somebody, the one person alive who could help him. The one person he couldn't find. He'd tracked him down to New York, now he had to pin point his location and the only way to do that was with a tracking spell. To do that he'd need components. His list was short but necessary so he'd need a fairly well stocked store to get everything he needed.

Sam stopped at a light and tapped his thumb on the steering wheel as the radio began to play the next song. Shoot to Thrill by AC\DC began to play and Sam allowed a subtle smile to touch his face as he fiddled with the nob on the radio gently, bringing the volume up a bit. Sitting in the driver seat of the Impala, listening to good music was almost magical. The way it calmed him, soothed him almost as if no matter what nonsense he was dealing with things would always be ok as long as he still had his car and miles of road ahead of him. Sam had decided that maybe after he wrapped things up with his old man he'd keep traveling, thinking about settling down made him restless just to consider it.

The light turned green and the impala growled as he hit the gas. He drove down the street in the mid morning sun while he looked around at all the people, busy rushing about about their lives. It was so strange, so different from the little towns he usually drove through. Magic and the mundane intermingled casually. He saw vampires hanging out under umbrellas or under outside canopies shooting the breeze with humans, were-wolves and nearly everything else. He turned the corner and spotted a small coffee shop. Coffee shops were like daytime bars when you needed information. He figured it would be as good a place as any to find out where the best local witches spell shop was at. He pulled in and bought a black coffee. While he was paying the young woman behind the counter, a cute vampire with blood red hair and stunning blue eyes flashed him a sharp smile, her shinning white canines visible in the low lights of the coffee shop. Sam figured the windows had uv filters for vampire employees and patrons. Never the less Sam had his source now.

"It'll just be a minute for your coffee, sir."

She said politely.

"Take your time, I don't mind waiting. Hey, I'm working on a potion for a paper I'm doing. You wouldn't happen to know where there's a good shop around here that I can use to get some supplies would you?"

He asked. The vampire considered it a moment as she grabbed his coffee and handed it to him.

"Oh yeah, there's a great little place three blocks down on your left. You can't miss it. They sell a salve for uv burns I swear by."

Sam nodded with a grateful smile as he stepped away from the counter.

"Thanks for your help."

He said earnestly. It was only after he got back into the car that he noticed the barista wrote her number on the side of the cup. Sam chuckled and started up the impala. He pulled up to the shop she had referred him to in minutes. It was a small place but quaint and charming in it's own way. Sam parked the car and got out, crossing the street to reach the front door. As he stepped inside a tiny bell chimed above him and he could smell all the exotic, pungent scents of the potions and potions supplies as well as sweet, delectable baked goods.

Rose sat in the back of her bakery, her leg bouncing gently as she read an OK! magazine, whilst waiting on a batch of her latest muffin's to cook, she had finished the brownies, the cookies, the breads and even managed to make a few doughnuts, the first batch she'd even managed to make properly, they just don't seem to want to bake properly under magical conditions, however this time she got them.

The reason she had to bake the muffins the mundane way, was because the magic seemed to work way better when prepared without the influence of magic, except for when activating the muffin with the necessary magic. It shouldn't be too long till this batch of Red Velvet Muffins, the ones containing love magics, funnily enough.

As she went to move onto the next page, she heard the door to her bakery open and the slight jingle of the bell. Rose hopped from the stool and peered into the shop front, noticing the giant of a man on the other side of the counter, a slight smile creeping onto her face as she admired the man.

"Hey, welcome to Magic Muffins, what can I getcha?" She smiled, looking him in his green/blue eyes with hazel edges. "We serve most baked goods and an awful lot of potions."

Regina had finally found the shop. She had searched for an hour or so before venturing out in her UV protected car, the clouds covering the sun for a short while as she sped down the narrow and busy streets of New York. She pulled her leather jacket tighter around her skin, already feeling the slight burn from even being outside... vampires were extremely sensitive, and even the best protection sometimes wasn't enough to help. She sighed as she adjusted her heel on the pedal, impatiently trying to get around some slow moving van that she quickly swerved around and proceeded to take a right onto the next street while a taxi evaded her when turning to wide. She could be a pretty rough driver.

She pulled up in front of the shop, 'Magic Muffins.' She raised an eyebrow, looking down at her ipad for a moment before she took a deep breath and grabbed her leather studded purse. Her black skinny jeans probably didn't help the cause being outside but it still protected her skin better, and she used her quick feet to blur to the door and quickly run inside, almost slamming the door behind her as the skin on her face sizzled slightly and burned for a few moments before it healed.

She cleared her throat, trying to make sure she hadn't broken the door before she looked over to see a man in front of the counter and a woman behind it, exchanging a greeting as she smiled towards them and waited. She peered around the shop, her hands fidgeting and her fingers tapping along her thigh as she bit her lip and hoped the clouds would last a little longer. Although, maybe the potion, if she had one, would work right away and she wouldn't need to worry.

Sam stepped into the warm and inviting potion shop and bakery. A beautiful brunette stepped out of the back with a smile that refused to allow Sam do do anything but the same. He smiled back as he approached the counter.

"Hey, welcome to Magic Muffins, what can I getcha? We serve most baked goods and an awful lot of potions."

Sam's eyes flicked around the potion shop at her explanation of the small, cozy business. Jars lined the walls on well maintained shelves with all manner of potions, salves and tonics. Cupboards and racks upon racks displayed the host of ingredients they offered. Then there were the baked goods that Sam could only imagine contained some measure of magic to smell that good.

"Yeah, you have a great looking place here. I was wondering if you could help me with something."

Sam said casually as he fished his shopping list out of his pocket and handed it to the young woman behind the counter.

"I'm trying to put a spell together and I was told everything on this list was what I needed. Problem is the crimson nirnroot alone is nearly impossible to find."

Sam watched as her eyes carefully scanned the page. She knew her stuff, just judging by how casually she scanned the list of rare ingredients. He wondered if she'd question him on the spell. A normal tracking spell wasn't the easiest to piece together as is but trying to find someone as powerful as the person Sam was looking for required very specific and rare ingredients. Her eyes, piercing and blue as the ocean flicked back up to meet his when she was done reading. Sam couldn't help but stare for a moment. Damn, she's gorgeous. Sam thought to himself as the door behind him opened and another patron walked in out of the mid morning sun.

Rose smiled at his comment on the shop and nodded when he mentioned her helping him, she gently took the note from him and scanned the list, such ingredients where rare and he was right about crimson nirnroot, found in the depths of abandoned dwarves caves and crimson due to the lack of sunlight so there'd be no need to chloroplasts that are used to simply absorb sunlight during photosynthesis. Rose looked up into the customers face, whilst reading the list her smile had fallen slightly but when she looked back up at him, her smile returned slight, yet with a look of worry in her eyes.

"The reason Nirnroot is so impossible for you to find, is because a lot of witches won't sell it, due to it's poisonous qualities, it damages health and stamina as well as magic, so only witches with the specific licenses can sell the ingredient itself. Sadly, you won't find any of these witches in New York, however I do know a witch who has these ingredients and can brew a variation on this tracking spell."

The door opened again and Rose looked behind Sam with a smile, "Hi, I'll be with you in a few seconds." Rose looked back up at Sam, before looking down at the list again and gathering the ingredients. "Although I have to ask, this is a pretty powerful potion, especially since it's asking for the rare variants of common herbs, so what are you looking for?" Rose set the ingredients in front of her on the counter and grabbed her mortar and pestle from underneath the counter, as well as her ritual knife and cooking utensils. She very finely cut the ingredients, exactly as the recipe was like in the grimoire, luckily a family of witches and their grimoire all have like a linked memory when it comes to spells and recipes no need for reading it or moving it unless it is absolutely necessary.

Once finishing the potion, Rose grabbed an empty vial and carefully poured the contents of the cauldron into it, careful not to spill any down the side or directly between the two. "Now, that potion you will need to drip onto a map of whoever you are looking for and with each drip, you'll have to utter their name and truly think about them. Once it starts to move don't stop uttering the name or thinking about someone else or it will fail and the drips will scatter to several different places, making it near impossible to find them, I mean a few of these will fall off the map and find another map to pinpoint on. Only stop once the potion has completely honed in on a position dried in, after awhile the stain will spell out where they are or it is."

Rose's smile dipped a little, he didn't sound like a local and seemed to be searching for someone, she had a deep feeling she wouldn't see him again, not since she gave him what she wanted and he was now going to find this person, probably some girl he was already seeing, who he wanted to surprise, but Rose mentally slapped herself and smiled again, before watching him leave. Leaving just Rose and Regina,

"Hi, welcome to Magic Muffins, how may I help you?" Service with a smile and polite greeting goes along way, especially when an elder vampire enters your store, Rose could feel the energy pulsing from her, it was quite powerful.

"The fault was mine. I have a tendency to take people by surprise." The dark haired woman said, she looked at him oddly and made Charlie feel a bit uncomfortable, as if he didn't have enough to worry about. [color=darkblue] "If you'll excuse me, I have an errand to attend to.." She said and sort sidestepped him, as if avoiding touching him or turning her back to him. "Ookay, well...um, yeah..." He said before walking passed her, shoving his hands in his pockets and decided, he was gonna check out some stores. He noticed one called Magic Muffins and snickered. He shrugged and stepped inside. The bell rang, alerting his entrance. He looked around idly, and shrugged, he had been considering getting a job since his folks died, and this place, looked like just the quiet, not much work-but enough work to get him out of the house type of job he was looking for. It had potions and baked goods. He didn't really know much by the way of supernaturals, but he read alot, and he was a quick study, He decided to ask the lovely woman at the counter for a job.

He cleared his throat, to get her attention away from the people she was talking to. "Excuse me, Um, Ma'am?"He said, rubbing the back of his neck, uncomfortably.
