Pokemon World

"Flare" he responded mechanically, looking towards the bottom of the list where the more challenging jobs were. There were a few upper crust type gold level jobs that had to do with going off the island over to Cryptic Cave, but he knew he wasn't ready for those just quite yet. Maybe after a fire stone. A reasonably close escort mission caught his attention, and he mentioned it to Shy. "Here's one, its an escort mission through the Savannah. Apparently some grass type gang is holed up in the area, and some Pokemon want to be assured safe passage across the plains. Might be nice to have another fire type along, it is a Silver level mission." he explained, reading the caption on the list and providing his own commentary at the end. Flare hadn't really visited the Savannah, and he thought it would be neat to explore around while over there.

Yawning as the rays of light finally grew hot enough to wake him from his slumber, Blitz hops down from the small hammock he had hung between the branches of a small tree. It wasn't much since he couldn't afford anything better, but at least he had a place to sleep at night. Stretching his arms out, he makes his way down the path leading to the guild he joined recently. "Can't wait to see what is in store for me today." He says aloud even though there was nobody around. Smiling he started running, or well at least until he realized that, considering the time he woke up, all the good jobs would already be taken. Slowing back down to a walk he let out a sigh. "Man, wish I could finds some team-mates already, that way we could do some of the tougher jobs."

Continuing his walk, he came to the beach just outside the town he was headed to. He stopped for to give his legs a short break, enjoying the sunlight and watching the waves break along the shoreline. Just as he was about to leave, he heard a loud cracking sound come from further down the beach. His curious nature forced him to go investigate. After a quick search he found himself looking at a Riolu leaning over a boulder that was split through the middle. That's probably what the noise was Blitz thought to himself as he walked closer to him/her, he couldn't tell the gender from this distance. "Um, is everything alright?" He asked when he finally got within talking range.

Luria let her tears of 'weakness' run down her face, but she didn't make a sound. She stared at the ground with a harsh face, hating it for not swallowing her up. She was preparing a quick attack for the rock to make sure her anger build up, but she heard a noise behind her. "Um, is everything alright?" She swiftly turned around, her arms put up in defense. She paused when she saw it was a Cyndaquil and put her fists down. She pulled her hat over her face. "I'm fine. Just seething with anger and sadness at the same time, that's all. The two emotions don't mix very well." She laughed to herself. "But thanks for asking. Makes me feel better to know that there are actually some good Pokemon in this town." She looked back and chuckled nervously when she saw the damage she had done to the boulder. "Oops... I didn't know I could do that." She started giggling to herself and bowed. "I am Luria the Riolu. In reality, I should be asking you something, and that is... how may I be of service?" She felt like she was hopping out of her shell too quickly, but she wanted to make at least one connection in the town without ruining it.

When she spun around, Blitz stiffed up instinctively, but he knew it was just a reaction of him surprising her. Catching a view of her face before she pulled the hat down, he realized that she had been crying, but he felt it best not to bring that up. As she began to speak, he couldn't help but laugh with her responses. He even laughed a bit at the way she introduced herself. "Oh where are my manners," He begun, going along with the high-class air. Now it was his turn to bow, rather profoundly as he even tucked in one arm and spread the other out. "My name, madam, is Blitz, and seeing as how you seem to be an explorer, like myself, would you be interesting in joining my team?" Once he finished, he looked back up towards her, with a smile on his face. He hoped she took the gentleman act well, but he meant the last bit. Oh how glad he'd be if he finally got another teammate today.

Simon's head was rolling with his headache so he didn't even notice Jack get up and race out the door right away. Simon fell off his seat in a hurry to catch up. He movedas fast as his little duck feet would let him which to say wasn't fast at all espesially with the added bonus of a headache. Simon saw the Raichu parents and stopped to ask after Jack. They pointed explained what they had seen and he was off, jumping into the water in order to move faster. He swam along until he saw them. Jack confronted by a Gyrados ready for a fight. Simon was scared bt he summoned up his courage and shot a water gun right at Gyrados..... Nothing happened. Simon gave a sigh and realized his mistake. He never thought clearly, yet another side-effect of his constant headache. He waved to Jack. "I'm here for back-up buddy!" He said trying to be brave.

"Darren, use thunderbolt or something" Nex said quickly to Darren. Nex then proceeded to rapidly spin in place, before causing an immense impact on the side of the Gyarados. Nex hoping for some effect was disappointed when he realized a low-strength Drilbur like he had no chance to harm this beast.
"Gah, I'm sure I can think of something..." Nex ran through his abilities and decided to use Mud Sport, trying to blind it. A small amount of mud got into the Gyarados's eyes and it attacked wildly.
"Okay...." Now, Nex was depressed. This wasn't helping fighting this any easier. Nex sighed, looking around for any possible thing he could use to his advantage... He looked down at the rocks that he was standing on. And, that was a huge mistake. At that moment, the Gyarados blew a dragon rage at Nex, nearly knocking Nex out. Nex, however dodged most of it, but his claw was caught sending him spinning into the water.
"WATERRRRR!!!!" Nex flailed wildly in the water attempting to swim. " I CAN'T SWIM" Nex nearly cried at that moment, but, quickly calmed himself down, thinking everyone must be thinking he's an idiot.

Darren followed the others and thought about things for a split moment before Nex fell into the water. Not leaving more time to think Darren quickly help the Drillbur out of the water. Before a tanks could be given Darren claws started to glow, signalling his Dragon Claw's preparation. "Steer clear Simon," the Eelektross said as he struck the angered Gyrados with both claws. With that the large creature was sent out of the water, landing with a thud to the ground next to Jack. Darren quickly came up to guard the team leader from an attempted Slam. "This guy is strong but I can handle him. You guys go on ahead and help the Pichu in accordance to the job. I'll catch up." Darren said as he pushed the Gyrados further from the water and prepared to use Thunderbolt. He wasn't worried about Jack or Nex being caught up with them having ground attributes, but the Pichu and Simon were both different stories. If either of them mistakenly got hit most likely they would take a large amount of damage from it.

Luria blushed from behind her hat as he laughed at her. "Oh where are my manners. My name, madam, is Blitz, and seeing as how you seem to be an explorer, like myself, would you be interesting in joining my team?" She grabbed her shoulder with the opposite hand and shrugged. "I don't really know. You were... well I'm new here." She wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes before looking up at him from under her hat. "I'm not even in the guild of this town. From what I know from my old town, you have to be registered, then you find the team most compatible with your type, and then you join a team." She shook her head. "I haven't even registered." She gave a slight chuckle. "Then again, there isn't a line order for missions like my town. Maybe nothing is like me town. Maybe there's no specific provisions, forced teams, or school for types." She shrugged. "Basically what I'm saying is I will if I can and but I won't if I can't."

Simon quickly swam to the shore avoiding the fight between Darren and the Gyrados. He ade his way over to the Pichu. "Don't be afraid I'm here to help." The Pichu looked at him worriedly but quickly let it's defences down and held on to him. Simon began moving the youngster toward the exit of the cave. "I've got the Pichu! Let' get out of here!" He shouted to the others.

Blitz stopped smiling and cocked his head a bit to the side, something he always did when he was thinking. "Is it really that difficult?" He asked with a sigh. "I've only just joined myself, so I'm still figuring things out." His smile had come back on his face with her answer. Of course, the end result was still to be decided, but just the possibility got him all excited. "Well I don't know about the teaming process, but registering is easy enough." He said as he reached out and grabbed Luria by the paw. No longer able to keep his eagerness at bay, he takes off for the guild, pulling her along. When they made it to the front doors, and when realized that he was still holding her hand, he let her go. "S-sorry, I can get like that at times." He said rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment. "Anyway, if you want to join, the first thing you have to do is talk to the Guildmaster overrrrrr...there." He said pointing him out. "Just ask him if you can join." He finished, giving her a tap in the shoulder.

Luria blushed madly as she was pulled along, his hand holding hers. She pulled her hat down as they got to the guild, hoping to hide it. "U-um... it's okay. I'll live." She laughed nervously and looked up as he pointed to an old looking Pigeot. "He's the guild master? He looks like he should've be replaced at least a year ago." She covered her mouth quickly. "Oops. Was I too blunt?" She laughed nervously again and waved. "I'll just, you know, go talk to him now." She blushed from embarrassment as she walked towards the Pokemon, using her size to quickly dodge and weave her way through the crowd. Once she reached him, she cleared her throat before bowing slightly. "Um, excuse me sir? My name is Luria the Riolu. I don't really know much about this town and it's quite different from my old one, so could you help me out? I'm thinking that I want to join this guild and there's a team that's invited me..." She looked up at him. "You might know my parents since they're also guild leaders. They were Luce and Ria the Lucarios." She smiled shyly. "I'm looking to start my own legend, so could you possibly help me?"

Blade walked through the town that was called 'Guild Town'. To him it was just another town in which he was talked about. He heard pokemon gasp and talk about all of the things that he had alleged things he had done. "He defeated Reshiram," said one, this was untrue. "He rode a Wailord," said another, this one was true, but quite by accident. He fell off a ship and ended up on a Wailord. "He can use Giga Impact," This one was also true, but the TM was extremely hard to find, it was given to him by a Garchomp.

After the long walk through town he made his way to the guild. He walked into the guild. There were many pokemon in here as well. He looked around and saw the guild master speaking to a Riolu. He walked over to him, passing a Cyndaquil on the way. He stood behind the Riolu and politely waited for the two to finish they're conversation. Meanwhile he heard more talk about him. "What's he doing here?" The Bisharp rolled his eyes and simply thought, 'Here we go again.'

Malice growled and used Metal Claw on a nearby tree. She kept running, increasing her speed as she went along. She finally stopped in a clearing and looked around quickly. She spotted a young Pichu picking berries and stomped her foot on the ground, causing the Pichu to look back with surprise. She glared at it and watched it walk up to her. "I-I'm sorry... I wanted to pick some berries for dinner." Malice sighed and picked the small Pokemon up by its scruff and placed it on her head. "How many times have I told you?! Don't leave without some sign of where you went!" She ran quickly as the Pichu held onto her hair covered ears until they got to a cave. The Pichu hopped down, still holding the berries, and went inside.

"I'll be back later, hopefully." Without another word, Malice ran off. As she went, her anger started to build up again as it always did. By the time she got to the guild, she was already steaming. She marched through the crowd, that parted to stay out of her way, and got to the bar quickly. She snatched up the Oran Berry that was placed down in front of her and glared at everyone she passed as she went to the mission board. She pulled off a random silver mission that had a large reward and turned to go to Ace, but there were already two Pokemon in front of him.

Malice growled and her hair stood a bit, causing the Pokemon around her to shrivel in fear. She jumped over a few Pokemon and got to Ace, or the line that was in front of him, and growled angrily to herself. "Why are you cursed Pokemon always in my way?! Newbies are such a haggle!" She paused for half a second when she saw the first in line was a Riolu, but then her anger came back quickly and worse then before. She glared at the back of the head of the Bisharp in front of her and decided to just get in front of him. She tapped his shoulder and then pulled him back, getting in front of him. "Out of my way, newbie. She was tempted to do the same for the Riolu, but she knew Ace would notice and act if she did that. She then crossed her arms impatiently and glared angrily at the Pokemon around her, trying to pass time by counting the number of seconds she had to wait.

A vast amount of pokemon left to begin their daily missions, while on the other hand, Antminium was yet to find a job...Yet alone a team. Ignoring the rather annoying Heatmor, Antminium had finally found a job... But, it certainly was a hard one... "Hmmm, a group of Numel have gone missing? Including the enragement of fellow camerupt... Sounds pretty hardcore." With that, Antminium nodded to himself as he turned around to face the Nidorina and Heatmor. Slowly he made his way over to them, but keeping rather cautious due to the Heatmor. If he was going to complete this mission, he was going to need some help. "Hey...erm, i'm sorry to butt in this rather weird conversation, but i was wondering if... You guys were willing to help me with a mission." The corner of his eye, kept a firm glance on the Heatmor, while a smooth smile came across his face, showing that he was friendly.


Finally the little brat had walked away, not that he cared anyway. Soon enough, Heatar had gradually calmed down. Slowly he glared over at the Nidorina, who offered a drink... But why? "Eh... I'm alright thanks... I don't really do cold drinks.." His voice seemed firm and serious... Dispite his attempts to be kind and friendly. Suddenly, a cautious Durant, approched them both. Normally he would lash out and try to kill the little insect, but he simply wasn't in the mood for such an violent act. Besides, he wasn't hungry. "Hey...erm, i'm sorry to butt in this rather weird conversation, but i was wondering if... You guys were willing to help me with a mission."
Heatar let out a blast of steam in excitement, when it cleared, Heatar replied. "Well buggy, you're in luck." He posed with confidence. "Since i have nothing better to do... I'm in, As long as it has nothing to do with water." With that said, Heatar looked directly over to the nidorina, waiting for her reply.

Shy listened to Flare. "Sure sounds good. Have anyone in mind that would like to come along then? I'm afraid I don't..."
Shy thought it sounded really good. She had been to the Savannah before, but she had no good memories from it. I'm older now, I should be able to handle it. Plus, I won't be alone.

Flare glanced around upon listening to Shy, searching for a willing candidate. Those fire types on his team he already knew were out on some other mission that he knew would take a while, for his team oft believed that dividing and conquering was the best route to prestige. After all, you get to know more people, and get more rewards. Looks like it would have to be a stranger. He would probably have to settle on a newbie, for most of the veterans here were either cold loners, or already on a team. Speaking of cold loners, he noted the renewed disorder in the guild as that one Lucario came storming through. He had seen her every now and then, whenever he happened to be in town, and he wasn't at all intimidated by her arrogant antics. Even he knew that there was a place in this world for companions, and he hoped for her sake that she realized that one day.

Returning to the matter at hand, he remembered the Ponyta that was standing near him that had been blocking the map. From a quick glance, he assessed her to be somewhat green, the way she stared in wonder at the map and the fact that she was carrying saddlebags around indoors. Maybe she just got here? Anyway, the list said the threat was from grass types, and fire was the logical counter to that. "Why don't you go ask her?" Flare said to Shy, gesturing to the Ponyta. He liked delegating others to do conversations, he wasn't exactly eloquent or charismatic in speech.

Reva watched as the the Rilou leave she wanted to go comfort her, but she decided to keep her distance. She looked at the Heatmor was I kind of rough in his tone a speech, but she had met many types of pokemon to know it was probably the way he spoke. Blissey had just come over to give her the juice she had order and took a big gulp as a cautious Durant came up to the both of them. "Hey...erm, i'm sorry to butt in this rather weird conversation, but i was wondering if... You guys were willing to help me with a mission." The corner of his eye, kept a firm glance on the Heatmor, while a smooth smile came across his face, showing that he was friendly. Reva drank the rest of her juice. "I wouldn't mind helping." She said happily returning the smile to the Durant. "What kind mission is it?" Reva said with excitement her voice as her ears moved foward slightly showing the nick in one ear and silver ring in the other, her tail moved up then down to floor which is what she usually did when interested in something.

As Shy looked at the questboard, she noticed Flare looking around with a wondering expression. Then she noticed how his expression changed, almost like he remembered something. Why don't you go ask her? Shy looked in the direction Flare was gesturing. "Ah the Ponyta." Oh yeah...I saw her entering before. She did look a bit lost. "Sure thing, leave it to me!" Shy grinned as she skipped towards the Ponyta. As she reached the Pnoyta she sat down and smiled a huge grin. "Hello, you seem new here. My name is Shy the Umbreon and me and my friend over there-" Shy nudged towards Flare. "-was wondering if you would like to join us on a mission. We could really need another fire type and we thought you looked like a friendly spirit who'd love to help others. So, whad'ya say?" Shy wagged her tail smiling waiting for an answer.

Antminium let his gaurd down alittle, as both the Nidorina and Heatmor agreed that they would assist him through this risky mission. "What kind mission is it?" The Nidorina questioned, excitement seemed to take over her normal voice, as her light blue eyes leaned forward. A silver ring reflected the light of the room, giving the impression that it was shining, while the nick in the other ear did the same.

Antminium nodded with confidence, as he looked at them both. Yup, these two will help me out alot... "Ahem" He cleared his voice before explaining. "Well, the mission is pretty difficult... According to the job board... A group of numel have gone missing, leaving no trace at all... And apprently, they left for no reason also. Now." He paused once more. "Not only have the numel gone missing, but all the remaining Camerupt are acting rather... Weird." His eyes fixed onto both of the Pokemon, hoping that neither of them would change their mind due to the hard task. "Heh, i almost forgot.. My name is Antminium, but you can call my Ant, or Mini. I don't really mind." With that said, he slowly made his way over to the exit.. "Anyways, we have to head for the volcano... It was the last spot that they were seen. Can you both take the heat?" His voice, turned from calm and friendly, to firm and serious.


"Take the heat? pfft, i was born for the heat" after taking in all the infomation that Mini had said, Heatar pretty much signed up for the task. Stomping over to the door, Heatar smiled to himself, as he really wanted to reach the silver rank. Alright, this is my chance to upgrade... I can't mess up. He stopped next to Mini, glaring at him closely. Like he was looking at him from the inside out. Why does this Durant seem...familiar? This is going to bug me.. Dispite agreeing to the mission, Heatar still had a feeling that he was going to be attacked by this Durant for some reason. Besides, they are natural rivals...Nevertheless, Heatar pushed his way between the door, rushing to get going. "Come on already!!"

Reva was extremely excited as she raced after the Durant and Heatmor. Her bag flew slightly back as she caught up with them. "Heat or no heat someone needs help." Reva said happily as she walked with them. "Its nice to meet you Mini by the way. My name is Reva." She said calmly as she looked at them both and thought for second, but didn't stop walking. "I thought Durants and Heatmors were enemies?" Reva tilted her head for second. "Maybe just for a mission differences were put aside . . . or the Heatmor has something to prove to Mini." She then let her ears move back in thought once more. "Natural enemies can make the pokemon do very strange things." Reva smiled a small bit before letting her ears relax.

"Heh, this is gonna be great!" A long journey awaited them since the volcano was pretty far away, and not only did Mini have to keep cautious near the Heatmor... But also the other fire types that would be waiting for them. Although, it was no time to create a happy and joyful conversation... Lifes needed to be saved, and fixed.

A few hours had passed and the group had finally reached the outskirts of the Volcano... Which explained why the place was called Volcano valley. It was hot... Too hot for Antminium's liking, as he slowed. Violent gusts of heat waves blasted against the group constantly, as the rocky pathway just got worse and worse. With the heat increasing, vast amounts of steam and volcanic activity could be seen. Mini slowed behind the group, and according to him... Leaders always kept ahead of the group... "Hey...guys..." He panted heavily, the heat didn't work so well with him. "Can we slow down alittle?"


The further Heatar and the little group traveled, the better and more energetic he began to feel. A simple blast of heat is enough to make any fire type happy. Steam trailed from his wrists, as he continued to glare at both Reva and Mini. It took him awhile to notice that none of them knew his name... No it's not that he was simply to stupid to notice right away... It's just because...Well... He didn't realise in time... "Oh ermm... My name is Heatar..." His firm voice trailed off, as he took the lead infront of the group.

Constant stomping echoed from him, making the rocky terrain to shake alittle, small rocks rolled their way towards the bottom of the valley, as they got closer and closer to their destination. Suddenly, a deep roar of a pokemon, made it clear that they were unwelcome. Heatar flinched, making him stop in his tracks. "What...was that?" He asked, desperate for an awnser. His eyes, looked everywhere, to try and pinpoint the location of the mighty roar.
"Get out of here... you're not welcome!" The voice echoed, making the threat worse than it already was.
"Well...this is great indeed." Heatar said towards the Nidorina and Durant, with a hint of sarcasm.

Reva felt the heat from the volcano it increased as they went deeper and deeper into the terrain. She let out a huff as the hot air blasted the group. Mini was slowing down a bit more as the Heatmor, later on she found out his name was Heater, seem to enjoy the heat and looked like he was getting stronger. Reva's thick skin helped a bit with the heat but it was still very hot. She lightly flapped her ears againist her body send a bit of relief from the heat. When they all stopped due to a mighty roar. That made Reva jump a little. "Get out of here... you're not welcome!" The voice echoed, making the threat worse than it already was. Reva pushed her ears foward trying to pick up where the sound was coming from. "Looks like we may have a fight coming up."

"Get ready to stand your ground..." Heatar's voice, sounded more serious than normal. Which made it clear that he took battles very seriously. His eyes, darted around the area, as he tried to pinpoint the location of the voice. Only then did the steam clear, showing the figures of a Ninetails and Arcanine. "Well... Isn't this interesting." Heatar laughed to himself.

On first glance, it was simple to see that the Ninetails had one of its tails missing... Whatever the reason. It's eyes, seemed to have a weird colour to it also... Like a misty pink colour. The Arcanine, seemed like a normal one... Apart from the scar, running across it's left eye lid. "You have no business here... Leave at once." It orded. Resulting with the baring of it's teeth, and a deep growl coming from them both. Now, due to Heatar's stubborness, he completely ignored the order. "Why should we leave? When we're trying to help pokemon in need!"

Before they could even answer, quick movements of his feet, thrusted him towards the pair of fire types. Hitting a rather, critical sucker punch, on the annoyed Arcanine.. "GET OUT OF THE WAY!"


[size=90][font=footlight mt light] Mini began to prey hard that he didn't have to face any pokemon at this moment of time. He wasn't in his comfort zone.. neither was he in any shape to yet alone battle. Out of nowhere, a pair of fire typed pokemon appeared... Due to the distance Mini was, he couldn't make out who the two pokemon were .(Since he has bad vision too.)

"Erm guys, i don't think it's wise that we att-" Before he could even finish his sentance, the 'go for broke' Heatmor, sucker punched one of the pokemon. The echo from the attack made it clear that it was a firm one. Maybe they haven't spotted me yet... Mini thought... "No, I can't just stand back and hide." He paused, glacing over to Reva. "Reva!, take care of that Ninetails, I've got an idea!" With that said, Mini dashed into the blanket of hot fluffy steam.

The Ninetails, slowly made it's way over to the Nidorina, grinning at the little thing. "We don't have to do this you know..." It's tail swayed to the heated winds, while her eyes seemed to sparkle. "But i guess you want too..." Without warning, the Ninetails released a fierceful, Fire blast, Straight towards the Nidorina.

Reva watched as Heater attacked the Arcanine with a Sucker Punch. "Reva!, take care of that Ninetails, I've got an idea!" With that said, Mini dashed into the blanket of hot fluffy steam. She looked at Mini who disappeared in the steam. "Ok!" Reva said not sure what she was going to do. "We don't have to do this you know..." It's tail swayed to the heated winds, while her eyes seemed to sparkle. "But i guess you want too..." Without warning, the Ninetails released a fierceful, Fire blast, Straight towards the Nidorina. Reva gasped as the fire blast was sent straight towards her. With not a second thought the breath in turned blue that formed an Ice Beam that hit the Fire Blast that created a low cool steam. Reva then used the low steam to sneak a another attack in the form of a Double Kick.
