Introduction
"Listen with your soul, not just your ear's. Feel the Musicks, they reside within the sound, you have to look for them. Only the power of the Conductor's can lead them into our world."
Music, sound, noise, harmony, the four component's of the Sanus Bellum, the Sound War.
An evil force called Noise, made up of all the negativity and chaos of the world. The negative emotions and expressions that create disorder have become entities that threaten our existence. They move through our world without us even noticing them, but they are the reason for most of the world's recent problems. Strange weather, pollution, crime outbreaks. Lately they have been attacking humans, stealing their life force and simply leaving husks. Comatose humans, waiting for the sound to re-enter their bodies.
But hope is not lost, a group of warrior's know only as Composers have risen up to fight the darkness. From birth they were very sensitive to the noise around them. They could see, feel, touch, interact with the sound. To them sound was something more than it could ever be for us, it was life. They could see that everyone's souls had a certain tone, a beat, a frequency, unique only to them. They could see the noise inside of peoples heart's distorting their soul. Noise creature's would often attempt to attack them so to protect themselves composer's learned to manipulate sound. They imbued their soul into the fabric of sound, and created Echoes. Beings of sound that are in complete harmony with their souls. They become life partner's to the composer and fight to eliminate Noise.
Grand Metropolis is the world center for music, it is also the biggest city in the world. With 47 million, citizen's it has become a life spring for music and art, as well as crime. Here is where the world will come to an end. That is if the composer's cannot put an end to the Noise.
As a composer you wear special Noise canceling headphones that make you deaf to regular sound. Once you are deaf you can open your sense to the Sound realm, and interact with it, only then can you use the power's of your Echo, fight Noise, and look into other people's souls. When your are deaf to the regular world, the world returns the favor, people will not acknowledge your existence until you return to the regular world and take off your head phones.
ECHOES
A literal life form composed of your soul and sound. They become stronger when around Music, depending on the music your character likes. And your affinity. Sound gives the Echoes power, that sound is picked by the composer. Depending on the affinity certain sounds can either weaken or strengthen the Echo. For Example when near a factory the composer would have to make sure they focused only on certain sounds that made a rhythm that was either Harmonic, or Discordant (sounds very chaotic).
Music is the strongest most influential power in the Sound Realm. When something is played with positive emotions it favors someone with
Harmonic affinity. When something is played with negative emotion, it favors the Noise.
AFFINITY
There are two sides that you can choose to join.
Noise: The noise destroys harmony so that "Pure" sound can exist. It is very powerful.
Only those who have grown tired of the filth that humanity creates, or those who have accepted that humanity is a plague join up with the noise. Their Echo will always glow with a strange static like aura.
Harmony: Sound can come together in a manner that creates Harmony. Harmony can happen with any sound, because it is so flexible it can even overpower Noise. But it takes a talented composer to gather the right sounds.

"I really wish you would stop doing that." Said the Azure wolf.
"Don't worry I know you'll be there to catch me." Travis chuckled softly.
"What would happen to you if I wasn't?"
"Kind of hard for you to not to be, you have part of my soul after all. If i die so do you."
"You are quite lucky that I am fond of you, your attitude might rub some folks the wrong way."
Travis began to walk down the side walk, weaving in between the grayed out faces of the regular world. Only the color's of their soul frequency, beating to it's own unique rhythm.
"I wonder what we'll find today." he said smiling as the smooth beating of joyous hearts came into view, something good was happening.

"Yeah, yeah; I know what Mom told you. Just do me a favour and be quiet," I hissed, turning my back on him. I could hear the way he shifted his weight and crossed his arms. I knew he was pouting. He drew breath. I had to cut him off before this got nasty. "If you say anything to her, I'll tell her all about Vincent."
"Vincent?" Kaida made a face, tilting his head slight. "I don't know what you're talking about."
I smirked, devilishly. "He's your boyfriend."
"He's not my boyfriend!" He had snapped almost instantly. I love little brothers.
I coiled myself, ready to spring as I turned the door handle, ready to make my escape. "I know a nosy diary-reading kitty that says otherwise!"
"Venus, youβ" Kaida made a lunge for me, but I ducked away and out the door before he could lay a hand on me. I booked it down the street, turning only slightly when I was almost out of ear range, a quiet intersection in the suburbs of Grand Metropolis. The infuriated redhead stood seething on the doorstep; he definitely lived up the stereotype! "Don't bother coming back, Venus! I'm locking the door!"
"Alright, thanks for the warning!" I called back, pulling my house key from the pocket of my black jean jacket and holding it up for Kaida to see as I walked off down the street. Once he had gone back inside, I put my key away and pulled out my headphones, if only to look good. Someone had swiped my most lethal weapon about two weeks ago, and I had finally worked up enough money to buy a new one. An iPod, that is. I was headed that way now.

The streets of the city were crowded and loud. Though usually a loud person, myself, I hated noise. The unrythmic beating of peoples' shoes on the cement, talking amongst eachother or on their cellphones, the restless chatter of the people who sat idle in the cafes I passed.... It was too much. To block it out, I turned my headphones on, and suddenly I was at ease. I grinned, as if I could hear my favourite song, and I imagined it loud in my ears as I headed toward a small electronics store just a few blocks from here.

When he reached the top floor he got out and as he walked out of the elevator the small crowd that was waiting to get on parted. It was like he was royalty and these people were his subjects. Yet he paid them no mind, he walked to the window and pressed his ear to the class. He could feel the vibration from the tools that were pounding and drilling their way into the building. Victor ran to the staircase and ran up the stairs, he reached the roof and he then opened the door and a gust of wind brushed against his face. It gave him a slight chill, but he didnβt let it bother him. He walked to the edge of the building, there was a fence around it so no one could fall off. He leaned himself against the fence closed his eyes and listened to the construction sounds, it was like a beautiful symphony to him. He pretended to conduct the sounds with his hands and he then heard someone say βHaving fun?β He opened his eyes and saw his fatherβs assistant staring at him, she smiled at him and he smiled back. She then said βyour father is in his office, if you want to see him.β Victor shook his head and said βthatβs ok, I want to stay out her for a while.β She nodded and said βI thought you might say that, so I brought you this.β She pulled a case from behind her back and handed it to Victor, he then smiled and said βwait, where did you get this?β She looked at the case and said β you left it here the last time you went to your fatherβs office.β Victor opened the case and pulled out a Violin, he smiled at his fatherβs assistant and said βthank you.β
She kind of blushed and said βwell go ahead and play it, I love hearing you play.β Victor tuned the Violin and then he began to play, he used the rhythm of the construction tools to go along with his Violin. He closed his eyes and let the music flow through him, he was playing a song that spoke to his soul. As he played he could feel Amati becoming happy. It sounded like an orchestra to Victor, it was a beautiful symphony just for him. When he finished his song, his hair was a mess from the wind blowing through it. He placed the Violin back in the case and then picked it up and his fatherβs assistant said βthat was beautiful, you should play it for your father later.β Victor shook his head and said βI think that would be a bad idea. His fatherβs assistant nodded and said βyou may be right, well I have to get back to work, but make sure you say goodbye before you head home.β Victor nodded and watched the young woman walk down the stairs, he then closed the door and put on his headphones. He entered the sound realm, he watched as Amati flew down from the sky and landed right in front of him. He placed his hand on her head and she said to him βthat was a beautiful piece you just played.β Victor nodded and said βI wonder if my mom would have enjoyed it.β Amati placed her forehead against his and said βIβm sure she would have enjoyed it as much as I did.β Victor patted Amatiβs head and then jumped on her back and said βI need to go for a ride, I want to feel the wind through my hair.β Amati smiled and said βwell hang on tight.β she let her golden brown wings spread out and she then flapped them. She went high into the air and then she dove down, with her wings pressed in letting gravity speed her up, Victorβs hair flapped as the wind grazed through it. Amati then let her wings out and slowed down and glided on the air.

Delana seemed to appear next to her, though she had just crawled out of her sleeve and grown in size, as happened in the Realm. Both pairs of eyes searched for a coloured soul amongst gray, one hoping to find and one not to. They were met with the sight of a boy about Blaire's age, and a large wolf. The lizard's frill raised a fraction, her tongue sneaking out to taste the air around them. Blaire's nostrils flared, but otherwise she gave no indication of having spotted them through the jumble of Regulars. Almost casually, she turned away - only to find, in that direction, was someone else. Trapped.
Del, if she had eyebrows, would have them raised high. The long tongue flickered out, a startling color contrast to her dark yellow hue. "Well?" She asked the human counterpart.
Blaire shrugged.

He was unsure of where he was going, but a strange feeling pulled him forward. It felt like a premonition, like something big was about to happen, and he needed to be there. He just didn't know where "there" was. He suddenly got a strong feeling, like he needed to stop, the flow of the sound was strange, somewhat bended as if someone had recently walked though the sound realm. He looked to his side, a large and very busy Electronics store was towering before him. The trail of sound led straight in there, and so did Travis.
As soon as he stepped inside he realized his little plan was going to be hard to pull of. Conductor's normally wore headphones, but half the people in the store had them on.
"Ah well, would you look at that, seems like too much work, maybe we should just go." Said Travis jokingly, there was no way he would pass up the opportunity to find another conductor, but Cobalt didn't have to know that.
"I know you better than that Travis." Spoke the wolf.

Nate's eyes scanned the grounds of the boarding school mindlessly. He didn't know what he was looking for, he was just bored. Math was the last class of the day (and Nate's least favorite), and all he could think about was going back into the Sound Realm. The serenity of that place always astounded him. Even though there may be hundreds of people around him, none of them took any notice. That kind of peace was what enticed Nate to keep gong back. He knew that it wouldn't last, with the Noise existing there and all, but it was really the only place he could go to relax.
In the back of his mind, Nate sensed something. His eyes immediately flew wide open in shock. It can't be! he thought. He had thought he had felt someone enter the Sound Realm. Night had told him that there were other Composers. but so close...
"Mister Walker!" a harsh voice called out, anger lacing the edges of the exclamation. Nate spun around in his chair to see his math professor, Mrs. Heymann looming over his desk, drumming her fingers angrily against her folded arms. "Would you please tell us the answer to number four from the classwork assignment?"
"You can read, can't you?" Nate answered coolly, holding up his paper for the teacher to see. Some of the students chuckled, but they were quickly silenced by intense glares from Heymann.
"You, Mister Walker," she snarled, turning back to face Nate, "need to learn to respect your elders. If I had the power, I'd-" She was suddenly cut off by the loud clanging of the school bell. "We will continue this talk on Monday!" she called after Nate as he ran out the door after the other students.
---
As soon as he was outside, Nate slipped on his headphones. In the blink of an eye, the whole world faded to black and white, the only color being people's frequencies. The Composer heard a sweet chirping noise as Nightingale materialized on his shoulder. "What am I so worked up about?" he asked, turning his head to look at his ethereal companion. "Well, for one, I found out there are other Composers in the city. I suppose you knew, didn't you?" Another chirp answered his question. "So what if this is the musical capital of the world! You yourself told me that people like me were extremely rare." Even when taking into account the enormity of Grand Metro, it was extremely unlikely that two Composers would end up in such a close proximity to each other.
"Well, I suppose it doesn't matter now," Nate said, shaking his head. "Come on, lets go see if we can find him. Or her," he added when his partner gave him an insulted look. The two walked down the street, scanning the gray scale multitude for anything unusual.

No, she answered her own question. Of course not. The Realm was much too tempting. Best to find these others and get the daily interaction done with. Resting a hand on Delara's frill, the musician and technophile turned to find herself in an intersection of sorts of Composers, coming at her from all sides. Well, she was also at a regular intersection, too. It sort of made sense.
Everything moved as if in slow-motion. The grey whirred past, the colors inched closer. No escape, no running from interaction. Del, slightly irritated at the human's sudden panic, raised her frill to break her out of the state she was in. It didn't really work, bringing to Blaire the realization that, in her agitated state, Delara was bright yellow, almost blinding to look at, and her tip of her frill reached a bit over the ordinary Grey Person's head. Quickly, she calmed down.
Headphones. Turn on some music. Pretend you were listening to some really good music. Blaire turned on her iPod and began to hum to herself. The lizard lowered her frill and shifted back to a pale, summery color.
Knowing her luck, Blaire wouldn't be able to get away with it without someone noticing. There was nothing left to do. She was trapped.
Well, it wasn't really different than usual.

"Travis.." whispered staring straight at the wall like his Composer. "do you..."
Cobalt began again but was interrupted by Travis.
"I know, I felt it too. Somewhat hostile, never felt this before." Travis was still facing the shelves, but his attention was long gone from the colorful square cases that covered the wall of the store. "Why now? I mean, this isn't the first time we've met other Conductor's but two of them... in one place? It feels strange, suspicious. " Travis turned slowly looking around the Store. The culprit hard to find amongst all the people currently listening to music. "Cobalt.." Began Travis
"Alright, but please be careful." Cobalt knew that battle might be just around the corner. He began to smell the air, searching for a specific scent, something unfamiliar to both of them. With one last deep breath Cobalt looked to Travis. "It's her, she doesn't have an alliance yet." Cobalt could not smell harmony of people's frequency's, but he could smell Noise. Some one without an alliance would have a small scent on them. It was so small Cobalt barely smelled her.

"Venus, do you ever pay attention to what's around you?"
"Uhh...." I was about to finish the sentence with a negative, but Sync took flight again, in the direction of something yellow amongst the grey. Another Composer? I had never met one before.... I knew that there was no way I was alone in a place like Grand Metropolis.... But I had never met one. I was a little stunned. Enough so to calm down and hear the beats of the people around me. There were a few of them that stood out from the thousands of others.... I hung my head a little, reaching into the pocket of my jeans where my iPod usually sat.... I was nervous... at least a little bit. I swallowed hard. What would they do to me? If they could hear me, as I assumed they could, would they try to chop off my head in attempt to become the King of the Universe, or something? No, no.... That was Highlander.... I was too choked up to think straight. I imagined it would probably sound like someone had released a group of lemurs on the Boston Philharmonic or something.... Not that I knew what that sounded like, but I figured it would probably be pretty chaotic....
I had to sit down. I mean, seriously? Was I supposed to think that everything would be all cool? We'd all go back to my place to have tea and crumpets? I didn't want to take the risk.
But, before I could sit down, I had an iPod to replace. Quite promptly, I turned and headed into the store, holding my breath. I felt another one on the inside and instantly felt trapped.
Breathe, Venus. Calm down and maybe you won't be so easy to recognize.... I tried to reassure myself, but failed. Yeah right. It'll be like looking for a needle in a stack of needles.... I'm bright freakin' pink, for God's sake!

Lazette opened the glass doors and walked in the store. She gazed around the tiny room filled with headphones, CDs, the latest magazines and some clothes. The store was her personal favorite, whenever she found free time she would run down and gaze around the items. Lazette walked over to the stationary section, it delighted her to browse among the cute pens and colorful notebooks. Gently she grabbed a blue pen with a music note dangling at the end. The price was cheap, grabbing a black and blue notebook she headed to pay.
The man seemed to be in his early twenties and was very optimistic. This bothered Lazette for a while, how could someone be so optimistic? It drove her nuts thinking about all the good in life. Smiling back she handed her stuff in and payed, checking her clock she decided to stay and chat. There was no school for her, she taught herself from lessons online.
Ding. Dong.
At the side of her eyes she saw Venus walk in, the boy she didn't recognize but he seemed to have long red hair. Lazette could have mistaken him for a girl if it wasn't the way his clothes were fashioned. She ignored him and bid the clerk goodbye, as she walked her eyes glanced at Papillon fluttering outside the glass window. "Idiot. If people see you...Ack! There's a crowd coming." Under her breath she whistled softer than a regular human could hear, Papillon caught the Sound and moved toward the door. The whistle was a tune from one of her favorite composer's songs, Winter by Vivaldi.
Lazette tried to casually walk, it didn't help that her fists were clenched and adding to that she tried to avert anyone's eyes. Her head poked out the door as she met a white winged butterfly, Papillon. It's antenna's moved up and down, a ghost voice whispered in her ear "Danger. Danger. Alert. Alert." Papillon was still new to being exposed to Noise or Harmony and might sometimes get the two confused. Doubting it's ability to detect Noise, she shooed off its whispers. The butterfly flew on her head and stood still looking like a twisted hair clip, "There's no noise, I would have felt something."
A hand came up to cover a yawn.
She vowed to stay as nuetral as she can, but with the feeling of cruelty and hate her mind was undecided. "Papillon, today I'll decide where we stand. Don't make any hasty actions." Lazette moved from her spot and to a CD rack near the door, she busied herself with the different songs, glancing up at the people coming in and out of the store.

Del, of course, slipped into the store. Blaire had to be careful as she crossed the street - she didn't know if the cars would hit her or not, but she wasn't about to test it. "Del!" she reprimanded her soul as she caught up to it. "Don't leave me like that!" The girl was about to go on, but suddenly noticed her surrounding. There was at least three other Composers in the store itself. Her voice trailed off.
The lizard gave a very lizard-like grin. "Face the music, Blaire." Though her voice came out casual, her frill was partly raised - had she noticed something Blaire had not? Another second of hesitation and Blaire moved to the orchestra racks of CDs, humming a song, pretending she didn't see other Colored people within - well, those that were not grey. Delara copied her motions, as if not noticing the creatures, too.
It was Blaise's main method of avoiding confrontation, but it startled her that Delara was doing it, too. For the act, she rested a hand on her frill again, and the two hummed together. "I don't know if I want to, today."
Del rolled her eyes.

"One, two, three, four. Including us there's am unusual amount of Composer's here. Be on your toes Travis, they may not be hostile, but they're not on our side. At least not yet." Cobalt spoke cautiously to Travis. The wolf loved to turn people to the side of harmony, it made him feel right, more powerful. It did feel nice to know that there was another player on the team of Harmony. Today was like tryouts.
Travis made his way to the girl no longer hiding his presence he made himself fully visible to the other composer's. Cobalt was now glowing with a soft azure flame. They stood valiantly unafraid that they could be seen by anyone who payed enough attention. Although it would be hard to miss a glowing blue wold nearly as tall as a human. It wasn't simply about attention though, now he could clearly see who else was a composer. Their Echoes were a dead give away.
"Nice Echo." said Travis standing a few feet away from the girl they first found. Beside her stood a bright yellow lizard. "Probably has some really powerful, Musicks eh?"

"Do you mind?" I asked, trying to make it look like I was only searching the case for something suitable. "If you leave me alone, they won't notice me."
"How stupid are you?" Sync asked, and hopped off onto my shoulder, turning himself around. Of course, he got one wing stuck and figetted, trying to replace it next to my body. "Honestly, you think they'll just go away if you tune them out?"
"Uh, yeah. Just like you will if I turn my headphones off." I waved my hands, forcing the Phoenix to take flight again, and he landed on top of the CD rack by the other Composers. Great. "Sync.... Syy-ync.... Come back, stupid bird." I tried to keep my voice down as I snuck up next to the others. I watched Sync shake his head once, then turn his head up. "Oh no."
Oh yes. Sync let out a shrill call, on such a high frequency that normal humans couldn't hear it. But I did. And even though I figured the Composers might have as well, I still jumped out and pointed at the dumb bird. "HAH!" And then realizing that I probably drew more attention than I needed to, I turned off my headphones and pushed them down around my neck, a little embarrassed. The greys were gone, and the coloured Echoes. But when I turned and saw six or seven sets of eyes on me, I blushed hard. And if that wasn't bad enough, it was quiet enough for me to hear one woman at the cash register say, "I thought that was a girl." I recogized her as Ms. Emilly Myers, who lived across the street from me ever since I could remember; she also happened to be a teacher at a public school that Kaida and I had gone to. It broke me somewhere deep inside and I deflated, retreating to the counter to request the iPod case be unlocked. Of course, I would choose the neon pink one, to match all my other electronics β my cell phone, laptop, and wireless PlayStation2 controllers were all the same colour β pay up, and try to leave as quickly as possible.

"Huh?!" he cried, looking around to see why Night had issued such a warning. He just barely looked up in time to see what looked like the tip of a bright pink wing disappear below the false horizon of the tall city buildings. "I think we found our Composer!" Nate said somewhat cheerfully, smiling at his Echo. She chirped happily and flitted off her master's shoulder for a few seconds, flying around him gracefully. "Come on, let's go!" Nate cried, running off towards the sighting with new found vigor in his step.
---
It wasn't long before Nate and Nightingale arrived at the place where they assumed the Echo had appeared. "It was around here, wasn't it?" he asked, puzzled, receiving an equally confused response from his partner. Looking around, Nate noticed an unusually bright concentration of Frequencies coming from an electronics store about a block down the road. "Looks like there's more than one," Nate mumbled, slightly worried. What if they weren't friendly? Or aligned with the Noise.
"Night, go check things out, will ya?" The songbird immediately took off from his shoulder, shooting down the street at a blinding pace. When she reached the store, Night slowed down and tried to sneak in as inconspicuously as possible. It wasn't too hard, for an Echo of her size. As she entered, Nightingale saw a young man, obviously a Composer talking to a girl and Echo.
Meanwhile, Nate walked down the avenue, trying to blend in as much as possible and seem like just another one of the crowd. He eventually stopped to sit on a bench just outside the electronics store. Every once and a while, he would glance in to make sure Night was OK. I hope they won't hurt her, he thought, his heart pounding wildly.
((Just so everyone knows, I'm going to have Night talk kind of how Kenny does in South Park, where no one can understand what she is saying, but another character talks in a way so that the reader can figure it out. If anyone wants me to type out what Night's saying, just tell me, and I'll gladly adjust my writing style.))

"I suppose so." An eyebrow raised at the huge wolf. Delara hissed lightly and chuckled, and Blaire, knowing she was thinking something along the lines of 'overcompensating?' pushed on her head, not hard but firm enough to be a reprimand. It only caused Del to laugh harder, in her own raspy way. "Shut up." But Blaire knew it was useless.Β
Before she could say anything else, a large pink Echo swooped nearby. Mouth Β pursed, - another interaction- Blaire spoke to it, as casual as she could get. Her voice came out slightly raspy, like Del's, however. "And you are?"
Well, the loud exclamation from the Composer that looked like a girl but sounded like a guy answered the veiled question in her query. He was clearly the flashy bird's other part. Blaire and Delara snickered in unison as he turned red and slipped off his headphones.Β
She turned her attention back to the other guy with the Harmony frequencies, eyebrow raised slightly, all signs of cloudiness gone. Β " 'Spose the same goes to you." The abnormally large lizard focused an eye on the other bird that came in, lacking a Composer too.Β
"And you, too. There are no manners these days." Delara noted.Β
"None at all." Blaire agreed. Β

Gently she scooped her Echo up and sung a lullaby, she was putting the butterfly to sleep like it was a child. In the midst of her smooth tunes she saw Venus sneaking to a rack just a few rows behind her, "HAH!". His outburst caused her to jump barely an inch off the ground bumping her hip into a low rack, a sharp pain came then quickly left. Luckily none of the CDs fell out and she covered Papillon with her free hand, like the people around she glared daggers at Venus for disrupting her song. Lazette looked down onto the small limp figure in her hand, it seemed to have taken its toll just from the shrill call. If they heard it, and Venus knew what was happening, it must mean he's a Composer also.
A small note of Noise played, then a chorus erupted, pounding through her. Coming into this store then having his Echo attack Papillon was uncalled for. Lazette slipped on her almost falling headphones, the bright red color glowing with it's wings. Unplugging it from her phone she then plugged it into the nearest demo soundtrack, and luckily for her it was Hard Metal. Drums and Guitar blasted with the band of Noise in her, this was her style, this was the adrenaline she yearned for.
The band was Black Veil Brides and she was listening to their debut album,
With broken parts and things you can't replace.
You pull the trigger,
Count 1, 2, 3 it's an flip of a finger for you... Fallen angel for me-
Just as she was about to lash out at Venus near the checkout area the demo song ended replacing it with a slow sympathetic vibe. Noise drained out of her and was replaced by confusion. Harmony began to fight its way inside through that moment, it wore out the Noise. The vow she mentioned to Papillon about staying nuetral repeated itself and she mentally slapped herself for thinking of doing anything. A sigh escaped from her lips as she unplugged the headphones from the soundtrack, temporarily saying goodbye to Papillon. Headphones still on she switched to classicals from the Phantom of the Opera, cancelling the Noise. All at while watching the Composer with a bird as an Echo.
[[Did anyone else forget in order to see our Echo's we needed headphones? I totally forgot if it weren't for MagicalNeko]]

It was what I decided to sing to pass the time as I headed down the street for the entrance to the subway. I had to make a quick stop at Kaida's school, my former school, to pick up his homework for the week. Poor kid had been so sick lately that he shouldn't have been getting out of bed at all.... But that was Kaida. Stubborn. Defiant. Couldn't carry a tune in a bucket if the bucket was made of plastic and had easy grip handles.
Hold me tight konna omoi nara
Dareka o suki ni naru kimochi
Shiritaku nakatta yo
I love you namida tomaranai
Konna n ja kimi no koto
Shirazu ni ireba yokatta yo
It was a beautiful chorus, really, and the words helped put me at ease. People gave me funny looks as I passed, but I ignored them wrapped completely in the meaning of the lyrics. It was a sad song, really.
Hold me tight; if this is how it feels
I didn't want to know
What it was like to be in love with someone
I love you; my tears won't stop
And so I wish
That I had never met you
I was just lucky that I had never really experienced love before. From the way the song made it sound, it was a horrible thing, and I didn't really want a part of it. I would just live alone, a loveless hermit on top of a mountain with my four cats, dog, hamster, parakeet, and fish. That was it. And I would completely forget that Sync existed.
That's exactly what was going through my mind when I walked straight into some other guy, a little younger than I was, wearing a pair of headphones. He couldn't be one of them? He was! And I was betting he belonged to that small bird that had come into the store just in time to see my life end.

"Well then, my name is Travis. No need to be formal so let's just keep it at that. If you can't already tell I've chosen to side with Harmony."
Before Travis could complete his introduction, Cobalt cut in.
"I am his Echo, Cobalt. I would like to invite you to join with us in the fight against the Noise. The corruption that they bring to the world is a threat to everyone. It would give me great honor to help you ascend into Harmony." The wolf had a certain excitement to his voice, Travis could tell he was really looking forward to it. Probably had something to do with the slight wag that Cobalt's tail had.
Travis scratched his head as the wolf kept going. He had good intention but they got the better of him sometimes.
Eventually Travis put his hand on the Echo, petting him behind the Ear. "Hey let's not overwhelm them after all it is their decision."
Travis looked to the girl. "You really should think about it though, you would be doing humanity a favor. Not to mention you'd save me a lot of trouble." He took a short pause and gave the girl a quick smirk. "Oh yeah, I guess I forgot to tell you. If you side with the Noise... I'll have to destroy your Echo, as well as you." Travis let that last part sink in, he would hate to kill such a pretty girl's Echo, but if it meant saving the world he would, he wouldn't hesitate.

Nate looked up as he saw his friend return from her mission. "Well?" he asked, anxious to find out more. A few cries told Nate all he needed to know. "Four?"he said, his eyes wide with disbelief. How on earth did so many Composers come to be so close together? "Thanks, Night. I'd be lost without you." Nate heard one last chirp before he switched off the sound-blocking properties of his headphones, returning to the everyday world.
As per normal, no one noticed as he appeared out of nowhere. Somehow the transition from the Sound Realm to reality always went smoothly and without any strange looks from passers by. Taking his iPod from his pocket, Nate began to play his favorite piece, The Flight of the Bumblebee. As the notes whizzed by his ears, Nate tried to recall when he played that song for the spring recital at his school. Although he had done well, it had taken him several months just to get down the fingerings. The tempo took him a few weeks more.
Then, just as all seemed well, Nate felt like he was being watched. He glanced up and saw what seemed to be a girl, several years older than him. She was staring at him in a very strange way, as if she had recognized him, but didn't know his name. Wait, Nate thought with a start. Didn't Night describe one of the Composers like that? Dammit, I think she knows!
"Can I help you?" Nate said, a little bit nervous as he removed his headphones, his music still playing.

With deep green eyes, Blaire barely made note of the Echo-wiithout-a-composer leaving as she looked over the two solemnly, taking her time. "Basically, what you're saying, is join with you or die. There are no other options?"
She doubted that, in the wake of whatever came, the two would not be able to remain on their own, as they did now. It was, truly, a battle to pick your sides. Delara seemed to have the same thought, because both human and Echo wrinkled their noses - or, in the latter's case, her muzzle.
In unison, they spoke, Del's frill shifting and Blaire adjusting her weight from side to side. "How long have you been a composer, Travis?"

The world around him disappeared, no! Disappear isn't the right word, it just became part of the backdrop, unimportant to where he was now, much like a McDonald's billboard. "So, I take you still haven't called the cops." A white mass that looked almost like a lion slowly walked up behind Axel, its bright yellow eyes burning it's way into his soul.
"About the hooker? Nope." Axel shrugged as a pair of long bladed tonfas appeared on his arms.
"You watched her die! You should tell somebody!" The Lion growled as the noise started to appear.
"Then they'd want to question me as I'd be their prime witness, it'd just be a major hassle. Who wants to draw that much attention to themselves?" Axel bent the photons around himself till he disappeared from sight.

I had decided that if I was wrong, I'd simply turn around and pretend that I was insane, stumbling off in search of the Sultan or something. If not... well, then I'd hope to God he wasn't part of the Noise. Maybe try to make a little conversation. Of course, he was giving me that look. The one that told me I looked really feminine, and I knew I did. It was the same look practically everyone gave me before I opened my mouth, the internal decision on my gender. Well, I was a boy. A real boy, and not in a Pinocchio sort of way either. My parents had always complained that their sons were supposed to be daughters, and their daughter had turned out perfectly. As such, Mercury was spoiled rotton. And, as I registered the look, it dawned on me that both my brother and I had girl's names, while Mercury was stuck with a boy's. It might sound suitable for a girl, but it was β in fact β the name of a God. I didn't mind being named after a Goddess, especially not one who ruled over Love and Beauty, but it bothered me that my sister was named after a God, and that had been planned. My parents were strange people....

'Hey Azure!'
Blue always loved seeing her best friend, her only friend for that matter. Azure smiled, baring her huge fangs.
'Can you hear that?'
Blue tuned in her headphones to the frequency Azure could hear on and smiled.
'Oh that's beautiful.'
The sound wasn't too far away from her. Two people shouting at each other, but it wasn't just shouting. It was a pure, full on argument. Blue could hear the anger, the bitterness, the pain in the womans voice.
'Looks like a love fallen apart, men should learn not to cheat.'
Azure grinned and flexed her claws. 'Let's go play.'
'The Electronics Store...they're fighting outside an electronics store..'..'
The panther cocked her head and sniggered at Blue's comment.
'You just hate it because it's full of order.'
Well that's just obvious.'
'There are 'composers' here, at least five i think...'.
Composers? This would make her little play that much more fun! Blue focused on the shouting, channeling the anger through her, it bgan to fill up her heart and her mind. Azure glowed silver and snarled. Little symbols began to fly out from round her paws and surrounded the shouting couple.
'28, 29, 30, that should do it...Let's play!'
A high pitched scream was Blue's tigger as vthe black and silver noise burst into action. If the near by composers didn't stop them they would take the souls of the couple and anyone else in the area, and it was a pretty full area. Blue backed off but not too far. She was still totally visable to any composers, she just wanted to watch her show. With a smile she took another swig from the vodka bottle and waited...

"The real answer to that question is since birth. We're all born with this power, but we have to choose to listen to it."
"Since he was fourteen." Answered Cobalt, somewhat annoyed by Travis's attempt to be deep. "I saved him from being taken over by the Noise. The first time we battled together."
"Yeah, I suppose I became an 'official' composer when Cobalt saved me five years ago." Travis petted the coat of his Echo, "He taught me everything about noise and harmony. Oh and about choosing sides I wouldn't linger on it too much. I wont make you choose a side, the Sound Realm will take care of that for you. I'm warning you ahead of time, because if you turn to the side of Noise, I'll have to come after you."
Travis began walking out of the Music store. The task of converting people to his side was much more troublesome that he would enjoy. He did find that a little intimidation usually did get people on his side. Not many people have escaped from him and Cobalt.
"Well then, I suppose Ill see you around. Cobalt's got your scent now, so might drop in to check on you later."
Travis stepped out of the Music store and began walking down the middle of the street yet again. The real world oblivious to his existence.
"Travis!" yelled Cobalt turning into very light blue flame, almost white. "There's a Noise user nearby. Should we confront them?"
"You know the answer to that very well, old friend." Travis snapped his fingers to begin. Cobalt dissipated into pure white-blue flame and surrounded both his forearms. The tattooed patterns of the Echo were now enveloping Travis's arms. A cold chill filled the air around him and sound began to fluctuate to his will. Travis was ready to fight. He sighed slowly, his breath condensing in his cold atmosphere.

Blue clapped her hands as a composer exited the store. He hadn't seen her yet but it didn't matter, if he didn't notice soon the noise would give her away. His Echo glowed a beautiful blue colour. Azure hissed and raised her back.
'It's a dog...'
Blue squinted at the Echo and wrinkled up her nose.
'So it is...'
Suddenly the composer turned and the Echo vanished. Blue smiled. He had worked out she was there. The composer looked pretty strong, she didn't really want a full on fight with him until she knew what he was capable of, it wouldn't do to get herself killed now. With one movement Blue jumped down from the bench she was standing on and walked through the unaware crowd towards the composer.
'In my hands...' she whispered to Azure and the panther turned to smoke. The smoke covered Blue's hands leaving black tattoo like patterns all over her palms and wrists. The long sleeves hid the silver guns, for now. It was time to perform. Blue dropped her head so the hood covered most of her face and eyes. Stopping a good distance from the composer with the dog she stood still. A slight wind caught her coat causing it to billow out behind her slightly. She hand't even planned that bit! Everything was so dramatic, just the way she liked it. She didn't speak just waited to see what the composers reaction would be.

Re: [OOC] Sanus Bellum
Yet another interesting fact about the sound realm.
Noise users have increased power, due to the nature of where their power comes from. Emotions like anger and sorrow can quickly overtake somebody and put them in a different state of mind. The emotions are very powerful but, they eventually overtake the person. They lose connection to the physical world and even though they exist in both realms, the Real realm ignores them COMPLETELY. They are like ghosts in a sense, invisible but still there. Their sacrifice of the Realm realm allows further interaction with the Sound Realm, therefore, stronger Musicks.
Fenix has been completely taken over by Noise, only the sound realm notices him and there is always a heavy air that surrounds him. It would be very hard not to notice him. Be careful you guys. He's one tough son of a bitch.

Despite the previous description, my health is not in question. So I'm ready to continue doing what we do and role play to our hearts content. Hopefully I can avoid being mauled by bears.
Re: [OOC] Sanus Bellum
Me and a few friends will be camping for three days. It's going to be rough, and it;s going to be dangerous, plus I will be away from technology, and will not be able to post. But if through some miracle I can, well then, I'll post I guess.
Until then simply get to know each other, make a day go by so that the concert is close to happening, maybe fight somethings, or some people. But whatever you do, don't stop posting, because that my friends, is Anti-bueno.
