Personality: Miruka is a nice and considerate person, who is always concerned about his friends' welfare. Due to his caring personality, he is often seen with a gentle smile on his face. And, as his title said, Miruka is very kind and compassionate, he never showed any hatred towards anyone and always showed sympathy with people around him. In the contrary with the Sin that countered him, Miruka is happy with what he already had and never show any jealousy with other people even if they're far superior to him. Even though he has also been through the wars between both sides, he believes that even his enemies can somehow be free from the Sins that had corrupted them. But surprisingly enough, when there are no other options but to fight, then he'll become serious and show no hestitation, even though it is never his intentions to hurt his opponents in the first place. Asides from Humility, he also a person who is always calm and hardly ever loses his temper. But due to his personalities, he can easily trusts the other people, which results in them taking advantage of him. Noted that sometimes he can be quite clumsy.

Appearance: Miruka is about 6'0'' tall. He has short, olive green hair and droopy green eyes. Since Miruka is an expert in swimming, he is the most muscular member in Synchronicity and probably the Virtue that have the steadiest stamina. He usually seen to wear uniform, even when not fighting, it consists of light brown trousers, a white shirt with a green necktie, dark gray unbuttoned blazer and green-lace sneakers, due to his weird obsession with the color green.

History: It can be stated that Miruka has the most unusual past in Synchronicity. He couldn't remember clearly when he was born, but he knows that he has lived through the wars between Synchroniticy, the Circus and the Sacred Drive. But what makes him special is that his father was the First Kindness, and Miruka himself is his father's own catalyst. Because of they shared the same bloodline, their power was unsually different from the rest of the Synchronicity. It was when he was about 14 that he accepted to become his father's Child of Kindness, because he was so admired of him and always tried to help him whenever he could. He uses his time to strenghthen his own ability along with his father. Miruka thought that his fighting's life alongside with his father will just be like that until the end of wars. But alas,...

One day, First Kindness and Miruka were sent out to go on a mission. But they were unaware that the Circus has followed their traces and caught them in an ambush. They tried to resist but quickly outnumbered. Luckily, the rest of Synchronicty were on their way to aid them. Miruka was targeted by the First Envy. Because it was a surprise attack, he couldn't dodge. But just as the strike was about to hit him, his father sacrificed himself and took the fatal blow for Miruka, which killed him. Miruka was so shocked. After the Circus has retreated, Miruka can only cried and he hold onto his father's broken body, blaming himself. But First Kindness smiled with him and said to him that there are no sacrifices which are more noble then the ones who sacrificed themselves for the one they loved, and that he loved Miruka more than anything in his life. In the last moments of sanity, he told Miruka to keep on fighting on his father's behalf until the wars are over and passed away on Miruka's arm.

Followed his father's path, he lives on with the power and essence of a catalyst still remained in him. Alongside Synchronicity, he has fought through the first war. And another tragic happened in the second war, where the Synchronicity was once against caught in an ambush, but this time it is the Sacred Drive who dropped the dime on them. He fights vigilantly, but when he realized that one of his comrades was being targetted, memories from the past came back to him. This time, he did exactly the same like his father did before and saved his comrade's life, but at the cost is his life himself. Lying on the pool of his own blood, he smiled happily because he knew he has followed the correct direction. But just as the moment he thought that he'd joined his father on the other sides,...

Miruka couldn't remember how long has he been dead, but after the light has clouded his own visions, his soul floated somewhere in an unknown plane of existance. That is when he met his father again, who was proud of him and said to him that his fighting fate isn't over yet and this time, Miruka would take over his father's role. After that, he awaken on the exact battlefield where he has shielded his comrade. Fully resurrected and this time, he wasn't just a catalyst, but an Entity himself. Although he questioned the true reason of the wars, and the reasons for him to continued fighting, he still looks on and decided to carry on his father's title, hoping one day the war will end in peace.

Now, a new war has began to commenced, Miruka knows that he has to continued his ever-ending battle until they can finally united and fighting together to bring peace into this world.

Insignia: A spiraling-style leaf which Miruka styled into a necklace.

Weapons/Abilities:

  • Aquakinesis: Miruka has ability to controls and conjures water by all means. Depends on how much strenght he has, he can created torrents of water streams towards his targets or materalizes the water into a weapon, like a whip or a sword. However, he can't hit his opponents if they're standing too far. This power can be opposed by pyrokinesis, but only if the user's strenght is stronger than Miruka's.
  • Scatter Shot: By using this ability, Miruka can release energy blasts that split into multiple fragments allow him to targets multiple opponents in a certain area. The beams that are shot have a light green color and can deal damages depends on his strenght. But due to the sheer extent of his power, Miruka needs a certain amount of time to aim in exchange, as such he can't deal with a surprise attack and despite he being able to make four beams at once, he can only fire in the direction that he is facing.
  • Sword: Ever since Miruka was young, he has been practicing the art of swords. The sword that he usually wield in combat is a katana with silver thirst.
  • Sword Enhanced: This is the ability that he gained when he's still only a catalyst. When he wield his katana, he can enhanced the sword by fusing his energy into the blade which makes the blade have a green-ish aura. When enhanced, the katana have can deal better damages or fire energy blasts towards Miruka's targets. However, if somehow he dropped his sword during battle, then the sword will lose it enhancement. Miruka can only enhances his sword once at a time and he needs time to recover his strenght if he wants to use the ability again.

"Really? So that means...", Hikari asked. He just became a Child yesterday and today he already has to face with an Entity. How cool is that? He haven't even knows what he is capable of just yet.

"Yeah, they've decided to act", Kyo said while trying to concentrate in finding whoever might be a Circus member in the shop. He don't know if Izumi notices this or not, but if he can identify which Sin is it, he can decided whether it is better to retreat or not.

Kyo is well-awared that the Entity who entered the shop must have felt Kyo's aura too. And this person is definitely from the Circus. He hold his coffee cup and pretended like he was drinking it to make him as normal he could while rolling his eyes around to see if there are anyone suspicious.

"I've never met any Circus members with an aura like this, and it means that this Entity must've never showed themselves before", Kyo thought as he raised an eyebrow when he has identified the aura, "if that so, then this Entity must be Sloth, there's no doubt about it. But who can it be?", Kyo thought as he concentrated in finding, until he set his eyes to a boy who was sitting on a table near the counter, who was radiating the aura.

Kyo smirks, "Found ya." He secretly pulled out the flute which he hid under his sleeve.

"Hikari, can you hear me?", Kyo commute with his Child through their minds, " just be as normal as you could for now. But if the other Entity attempts to do something, I want you to plug your ears, okay?"

Hikari was pretty surprised when he heard Kyo's voice inside his head, but then he nodded to his Entity. He took a sip from his glass and tried to looked at another direction.

"Man, that was such a good swim", Miruka stretched his arms and said to himself gleefully after his swim in the city's pool. It has been a while since he enjoying himself like that, "it felt good to breathe the outside air after staying undercover such long time."

Miruka humming as he walked on the street while thinking of a way to find his fellow Virtues, "It's been a long time, I can't wait to see Kyo-chin again", he giggled, "but first, I need to stop by the mall and get some stuffs."

He walked through some streets and then stopped at the mall. But when he stepped inside, the feeling that he hasn't felt for a long time washed through his minds, and it intrigues him more than ever. This could only mean one thing - the Sin that countered him is here. Miruka frowns, "Not just her, there's another Entity here, though this one might be from the Synchro", he thought and sighed, "just getting out of my retreat and I already meet problems."

A few moments later, he saw that a girl was running and he quickly realized her. "Serpent...", Miruka raised an eyebrow, he knows it wouldn't be a good idea to show up now, "they're focusing on each other so I guess that they don't know that I'm here, better staying low for now", he thought as he hid behind a pillar near there.

Kyo watched on as the boy carried his drinks and got out from the shop, the feeling also disappeared with him as he went out. Kyo smirked, "The fish went straight into the net. I don't want to put myself over the top or anything, but you must remember that I'm the Virtue that counter your leader, my dear. Still, I never want to fight you though. Wise decision", he thought.

With that, Kyo leaned on his back. Hikari blinked and turned to him, "He left... So what exactly are you going to do with that flute if he was going to attack then?"

"This thing?", Kyo said as he hold his flute and shrugged, "I wasn't going to do anything. Just wanted to scare him off a bit."

"So that means, you know at first that he can guess what you're thinking?", Hikari asked.

"Yep, that's one of my privileges, Hikari. I will explain to you later when we're on our way to the church", Kyo said and gave a wide grin.

A moments later, Izumi went to Kyo and Hikari. On the look on her face, Kyo can guess that she has already know that Sloth has come here. "Well now, here, I've jotted down the address of the church I was talking about. Call anytime you need something. But first, excuse me for a moment--", Izumi gave Kyo a table napkin with the address of a church.

"Thanks, Izumi-san", Kyo smiled. With that, Izumi went somewhere behind the shop. Kyo called for the waiter to pay for their drinks. After that, he stood up, "Come Hikari, let's go."

"But shouldn't we wait for Izumi?", Hikari asked.

"We can comeback and tell her later", Hikari said as they both got out of the shop, "first, let's get to the ground yesterday first."

"What for?", Hikari questioned.

"You'll see", Kyo grinned.

After they traveled through some streets, they got to the deserted ground yesterday. "So, what exactly are we going to do here?", Hikari looked around and said. Somethings tell him that his Entity is up to something.

Kyo gave Hikari a mischivious smile and then walked further from his Child, then he turned to face him. Suddenly, Kyo raised his arm towards Hikari's direction. The boy still didn't understand what was going on. Kyo then shot a beam of light towards his Child. Hikari was so surprised because of that, but he managed to dodge by the skin of his teeth.

"What the hell are you doing?!", Hikari yelled at his Entity. He is well-aware that because Kyo was one of the main Virtues so his power is no joke. He didn't know what would happened if he got hit.

"Well, what do you think? Don't worry, it won't kill you", Kyo grinned as he continued to shot his beams towards Hikari. The boy still trying to dodge. The beams that missed Hikari shot onto the ground and created craters. They continued like that for quite some while, until Kyo felt that his catalyst is starting to tire.

"Kyo! That wasn't funny!", Hikari yelled. "Fine, fine, I'll let you take a break", he then stopped and said to his catalyst, still with his mischivious look. "Listen, if you want to enable your power, you have to clear your mind and take up your courage to face your opponents. Do not scare and don't show any signs of hestitation. Let the power that I gave you flows through your body and thrash it out. Now, let's do it again."

"What exactly do you mean-", Hikari asked, but before he could sink in every words that his Entity said, Kyo has already carried out another surprise attack. With the flexibility of a basketball player, he can still easily dodge the beams, though he knows that Kyo didn't take it seriously even in the slightest. As he dodge, he remembered what Kyo just said earlier and stopped avoiding.

Kyo smiled, "You got it. Now show me", he thought as he shot out another beam at his catalyst. This time, Hikari didn't try to avoid, but instead, he closed his eyes as he felt the power flowing through him. When he felt that the beam was closed to him, he hold his right arm to the light. He closed his eyes shut for a few moments, but it didn't felt like he was being hit. When he reopened his eyes, he was surprised to see that a barrier was surrounded around him, shielding him from the light. "Wow...", Hikari said.

"Well done", Kyo stopped and walked to his Child. Hikari then lowered the barrier, "This is cool", he thought while feeling so proud of himself. When his Entity got to him, he punched Kyo in his arm. "Never do that again", Hikari said with a grumpy voice. Kyo giggled and patted his Child's head.

"Just a little warm up for today, you still have to practice if you want to master it but it was really a good start", Kyo said, "so how do you feel?"

"I feel... alive", Hikari looked as his palms, "it felt like it has been sleeping inside me all the time."

"Yeah, and now you got it", Kyo smiled, "from now on, you'll be the shield that protect us all from the enemy. Remember that, okay?"

"That's sound like one hell of a big duty", Hikari laughed, "but no hard feeling. I'm ready to face whatever challenges in front of us."

"It's good that you can think that. Now let's go, we've got jobs to do", Kyo said. Hikari nodded then the both of them make their ways to the church.

Miruka stood behind the pillar as he watched the white-hair girl was chasing after Serpent, she jumped down from the pillar to the Eastern side of the stage of the band who was performing there as people are began to cleared. As Serpent ran just behind the stage, the girl has pinned her down before she could makes any more moves.

The stage there was pretty close to where Miruka was standing, he still laying low while trying not to radiating too much aura. When the girl jumped, Miruka was able to glance at her before she landed behind the stage. "She's an Entity, no doubts. But why is she wearing the military uniform from the Sacred Drive?", he raised an eyebrom and thought, "but it doesn't matter, I should be back up in case something happened. Serpent isn't going to be an easy opponent."

With that, he took his katana from his backpack and using his enhancement on the sword. The sword then glowed the green-ish aura. Miruka stood still while holding the katana firmly, hoping that everything will be okay.

Kyo read carefully the paper which Izumi gave him earlier while leading Hikari to the church. Well, he wouldn't worry too much for now. Earlier, Hikari has came to his power, which mean asides from the ability to manipulate forcefield, he also have a passive ability that even Hikari himself didn't notice - Hikari can unconsciously created an invisible detector around himself and his Entity, which means if the Circus sent spies after him and got near them from a certain distance then they'll surely know. Kyo himself only needed to stay near his Child and he should be able to detect if the Circus was spying on him. Kyo is well-aware that he's probably a threat to them by now since his sister didn't show up much and his true potentials are still a mystery.

"I'm still curious, what do you suppose to do when we got to the church anyway?", Hikari asked while sweeping the sweat on his forehead, "let's be haste for now, the sun is scorching."

"Well, everyone has to had some secrets, wouldn't they?", Kyo smiled, "I've always keeping them as a mystery even with the rest of the Synchronicity, so far only my catalysts are the only people that ever knew them. You should be happy because I decided to share this with you."

"Oh yeah, how lucky am I?", Hikari grinned. Though he didn't admit it, Kyo has been quite one of the most mysterious people that he'd ever met. So far Hikari didn't hide any secrets with his Entity but he knows pretty much nothing about his Entity yet so he was kinda excited. Hikari was secretly felt happy because he can do something to help Kyo, it's the least thing that he can do to repay him for saving his life.

They walked across some avenues until they reached the district where the church was. There weren't a lot of people around here and it should be find for Kyo to do what he has came here for. After a short walk from a few more buildings, they reached the church which Izumi told.

"We're here", Kyo said, "Come, Hikari." This church was an abandoned church, although it looks wasn't very old. "There shouldn't anyone around here", Kyo thought. They then stepped onto the stairs and opened the door.

"I don't know there is such a nice holy place like this in the city, too bad it was abandoned", Hikari said as both of them walked into the church.

"Hikari", Kyo said, "do you believe in God?"

"Why did you ask me that all of a sudden?", Hikari questioned, "Well, I'm not a Christian, but I do believe that there is some kind of supreme beings behind the creation of this world. That's what I thought. So, are you going to take me to meet a God or something?"

"This is what I told you earlier, Hikari", Kyo turned to his Child and said, right now both of them are standing in front of the Cross.

"So what has to do with this?"

"This isn't exactly a real power, it just that throughout my life, I've been able to gain the "power" of prayers. It is somewhat complicated to explain though, but what can I just say it's that because of my nature as the highest Virtue of Synchronicity, Humility, I can total clear my mind when I'm standing on an absolutely quiet place and pray. For short, this is my refresh button. When my mind is cleared, I will be able to think more effectively. A lot of stuff has happened recently so I have to refresh myself to come up with something against our opponents.

Hikari nodded, though all of this stuffs seemed to be confusing with him. After he has sink in what Kyo just said, he asked, "Okay, I get it. But why do you need to go to a church?"

Kyo shrugged, "Just because this is the only place is quiet enough in this city. Besides, it is also a consecrated ground so there aren't any places better then this. Okay, I'll begin now, please be patient and wait."

Hikari nodded and stepped away from his Entity and came to sit at the chair. Kyo clasped his hand and closed his eyes as he began to chanting some sort of prayers. As he chanted, a light then appeared in front of him.

After some while, Kyo stood up and the light disappeared. Kyo then turned to Hikari and said to him with a smile, though his expressions have changed a bit, "All done. Let's go back."

But just as the moment that both of them stepped out from the church, Kyo immediately realized that they were being spied on. "So what I thought was right", Kyo thought. He closed his eyes to sensed where the spy was and then shot a beam of holy light towards a tree nearby. A familiar in the shape of an owl fell down from the tree. Kyo then went to the tree and investigated the familiar. Because it has been exorcised by Kyo's light, it quickly turned into dust and flew away with the wind. It could only mean one thing - HE has decided to act on the behalf of Kyo's sister.

"Alistair...", Kyo murmured.

Miruka widen his eyes when he sensed that Serpent was using her tunnels to escape. "Not so fast", he said as he jumped out, trying to caught her but her tunnel quickly disappeared. Although he can still feel her presence nearby. He looked up to the white-hair girl but he don't really know what to say. But he needs to focus on a more important matter right now is to find his counterpart who was slithering somewhere.

Rin watched as the girl retreated into some sort of tunnel she created. Rin tried to follow but was unable to. "A retreat into a dark tunnel...it disappeared almost as fast as it appeared. There was hardly any time for me to react. My guess is that it works by creating some sort of rift in the dimensional space; a small window to transport to a parallel area..." As Rin finished her deduction, she was astonished to see a man try to leap out and catch the same enemy as well.

"This aura--no mistake, he's an Entity..." Rin immediately called over to the wire. "Priam, it seems there is another intruder inside, what do you want me to do?"

Priam wondered as he sat in his seat. Judging by how he reacted on the enemy attack, it would appear that this boy and the girl earlier were enemies. "He's probably from your side. I'll leave it to your own judgement."

Rin's eyes fixed themselves on the boy. If he is a Synchronicity member, then there is no need to fight him here. "However, being on the same side doesn't mean it's all friendly and good. Like that incident with Patience. Plus, he's armed. Priam... your security is shit if that guy managed to get a katana inside this shopping mall..."

Rin took out her Beretta and aimed at the intruder. She had no intent to shoot him though... yet. "Three questions. First, who are you? Next, are you involved with that girl somehow? And last, why are you here? Depending on your answers, I might just have to fire, even if you are a Synchronicity member. So make sure you choose the right ones."

"Judging by how she's reacting, why does she seem like a total basket case?" Nozomi thought as the girl tried to fight back the dizziness overcoming her. He sat her down on a small arrangement of bricks on the side of the alley as he continued asking.

"Are you lost? Where are your parents?" Nozomi continued on before realizing how awkward this can get. "Dizzy? It's the heat huh? Nowadays, temperatures have been steadily rising, causing vapor levels to soar. It's as if there is something in the machine called Earth that is broken." Looking back at the girl, she really does resemble Yuria a little bit. "Ahhh...no good... I think I'm losing interest..." Taking his share of the coffee, he handed it to her before turning around to leave.

"Here. Here's one for the heat. No need to thank me." Nozomi waved as he walked away without looking back. Now, it is normal to say that he's just getting the jitters again like the last time he talked with Yuria but this girl is something--else. For one, he can't seem to read into her mind.

"Strange. If I can't read into her mind, it's either completely blank or--" He stole a secret glance at her again when he reached a distance of ten meters, wondering about this. "She's blocking out her original thought process with a different personality. So far, only people with Multiple Personality Disorders can do this. Does that mean--?"

Miruka looked around, trying to sensed if Serpent is still around. The band's performance on the stage has finished. After he has searched for a while around the ground, he couldn't find any traces of his counterpart. Her tunnels had completely disappeared. He sighed while put his katana into its cover and put it back to his backpack, "Almost got her. No doubts she's going to report this to their leader."

"Three questions. First, who are you? Next, are you involved with that girl somehow? And last, why are you here? Depending on your answers, I might just have to fire, even if you are a Synchronicity member. So make sure you choose the right ones", the Entity girl said cautiously while aiming her gun at Miruka.

He turned his back and facing with her, glancing at her a moment, though he still keeping his calm posture. "So what I heard was true...", Miruka thought. Even though he was staying undercover, he still get in touch with Kyo to know what the situation is between both sides. So he pretty knows that some members on his side are having some sorts of conflict, which explains why the Entity who's standing in front of him right now is still beware of him even though they're allies. Miruka understood that from what he has seen from the wars.

"Woah woah wait, there's no needs of violence here", Miruka grinned while waved his hands to the girl. He has no intentions to fight anyone if it wasn't necessary, "You're asking too many questions at once, but still, I'm willing to answer them, just stop aiming at me as if I'm a criminal like that, kay?"

Then he straighthen himself up and answered, still with his gentle smile, "My name is Miruka, and you'd probably realized that I'm also an Entity, like you. I am Kindness. Nice to meet you", he then gave a bow to her, "and the reason why I'm here, well, I'm just passing by to get some stuffs that I needed, I've been staying undercover for quite sometimes and this is my first day out of my retreat in a long while. And as you know, the Serpent girl earlier was Envy and she's my counterpart. I was planning to take her down when I saw her but you've already taken care of her so I think it was for the best not to interrupt you, I have no idea that I'd encounter Serpent here."

Miruka then shrugged, "Too bad she got away though. Well, I think that's enough for an introduction. And you, young lady?", Miruka asked, hoping that he would gained her trust.

"Kyo, what is that?", Hikari went to his Entity and saw the figure was withered into dust.

"It's my sister's catalyst", Kyo said, "if he has decided to act, then it means troubles. Come, let's return to Izumi first then we'll figure out a way to counter them soon."

Hikari nodded and both of them made their ways back to Izumi coffee shop, the scorching sunshines had soften a bit. On his way, Kyo took out his phone and sent a text message to Miruka, "Miru-kun, have you got out from your undercover yet? Come and meet me at this coffee shop as soon as you received my message. Here's the address", Kyo typed out Izumi's address and sent the message.

Hikari saw that and turned to Kyo, "Hey, who did you text to?"

"An old friend", Kyo grinned, "You'll meet him soon. He's also an atheletic person like you so I think you both will get along."

"Wow, really? Then he must be really tall and buff", Hikari grinned gleefully. Ever since yesterday, it seems that anyone he met in their group was ridiculously attractive. "Is being an Entity and a catalyst also gave people the ability to have good looks?", he playfully thought. Still, he's still looking forward to meet new companions.

When they've reached Izumi shop, they entered the shop, the crowd now is lesser. "Hey Izumi-san, we're back", Kyo smiled and greeted her, then both Kyo and Hikari sat down, "okay, I've found out that Alistair, my sister's catalyst has decided to act. So now, we should find a way to counter against the Circus and be ready to face them at all time. Call Rin, when she's back then we can discuss about this together. I've also contact one of the Synchronicity's member who was staying undercover and he should be here soon."

Having heard the introductions of the Entity Kindness, Rin thought for a moment on what her reply should be. Though, she didn't really care too much about the Entity Envy being his counterpart. This is a war. There are no rivalries. Between each of them. He seems like a nice guy though. Nice enough to be trusted. But, as the Entity Patience said, there is no true distinction between good and evil for them.
"Right, just because we're from Synchronicity and they're from the other side of the fence, doesn't make us any less evil if we've involved civilians among our body count. Come on Rin, what would your predecessors do?" Rin tried to think of what to reply. As the Third Diligence, she doesn't know how her predecessors lived--hell, she haven't even met them personally. From the hidden room in his headquarters, Priam watched, anticipating how this would play out.

"When you feel lost about yourself, just remember that even if the whole world loses faith in you, I wouldn't. I trust your judgement. I trust whatever calls you choose to make."

"Aokigahara... You'll always have my back right? You trust my decision right? Then, to properly bring this to an end, I have made my decision." She lowered her firearm and steeled her resolve. Facing the Entity in front of her, she finally introduced herself.

"Alright Kindness... I am the Entity Diligence, and Ex-member of Synchronicity. My name is Rin. Rin Nakahara of the private armed organization Sacred Drive!" This is it. There was no turning back for her. She's already gone past the point of no return. "Unlike the Entity Envy, you didn't seem to have caused any trouble so I'll let you leave this place in peace. In accordance with the directives of Sacred Drive, we will not attack Entities unless they fire first."

Taking out the 686, she readied both firearms without pointing them at the boy. "Though if you wish to cross swords with me right now, I would be very welcome to accommodate you. So, will you choose to fight here? Or will you leave quietly?" Rin glared with a new fierceness in her eyes. From his room, Priam smirked at the turn of events.

"So you've decided to come back huh? Well then, I think an update is in order--" He booted up a database on his laptop, showing the list of the members of ALIAS, Sacred Drive's main assault division.

As of 1500 hours, ALIAS Operative #067 has returned.

"Rin..." Thanks to their telephatic link, Izumi managed to catch wind of everything. The appearance of the Entities Kindness and Envy, and Rin's decision to return to Sacred Drive. "So--is this where everything ends for us? Our partnership? Our friendship?" Izumi tried her best to hold back her tears. It is not healthy. Besides, Rin isn't the type of person who'll shoot her friends...even if they're already enemies. Smiling to herself, Izumi got up from the back room as she saw Kyo and Hikari return through the cameras. "Well, I'm still your Catalyst Rin. I'm with you through thick and thin."

"Okay, I've found out that Alistair, my sister's catalyst has decided to act. So now, we should find a way to counter against the Circus and be ready to face them at all time. Call Rin, when she's back then we can discuss about this together. I've also contact one of the Synchronicity's member who was staying undercover and he should be here soon."

She couldn't even focus on the other details that Kyo was divulging. All she could focus on was her current situation with her Entity. "Ahhh... I guess you seem to have a plan in order except for one small problem." Once she thinks she got their attention, Izumi continued. "Rin--won't be coming back to Synchronicity. She's already decided to return to Sacred Drive, her old group. And as her Catalyst, I can't abandon her. As her friend, I don't really want to. In the worst case scenario, we'll all end up fighting each other. Hehe...who would've thought things would turn out this way eh?" Izumi finally confessed everything, flashing the two a very sad smile.

As Nozomi reached a part where the sun doesn't seem to shine through the tall, decrepit buildings of downtown Friergate, he felt a presence following him. A soft, rustling of leaves, moving along with the wind gently. Turning around, he caught sight of a familiar figure. A lovely woman, dressed in simple and modest garb.
"Good afternoon Patience-san. Or do you prefer Leona?" Nozomi greeted sarcastically, the hostility in his tone apparent. They had met and crossed swords with each other, almost ten years ago.
"You haven't changed at all Nozomi. Heh, it is a fine afternoon for me, unlike yours, as far as I can tell." Leona smirked as she confronted the unknown Circus member. Nozomi tried to use his telepathy but was unsuccessful. "You can give up on it. You can only use that power to intercept telepathic communication. You can't use it to read minds."
"I know. Just making sure. So, what are you here for? As far as I know, I've always cleaned up after my mess." Nozomi talked back, not minding the obvious age difference between them. Leona walked closer to him and casually stroked his cheek.
"Nozomi Kannagi. The Entity of Sloth. The personification of missed opportunities, apathy and indifference. I have a deal I want to make with you."
"Too bad, you've got nothing on me. First, unlike other Sins, I don't kill. Next, even if you were to threaten me, I could easily fight back. Third, if you were the one to fire first, you're the one who's in the morally wrong by attacking a bystander."
"Heh, witty as always. No need to be so tense, this is simply a proposal. I want you to infiltrate Sacred Drive's headquarters at the Hyatt Building. Hack into it and erase any existing records of me. In exchange, I'll keep your existence a secret. Unlike me, there are others who would kill you on the spot without a second thought just because you're a Circus member."
"No. This personal vendetta has nothing to do with me. Clean up your own mess." Nozomi retorted back, keeping all of his emotions in check.
*Sigh...* "I knew this would be a difficult negotiation. Good thing I've made a small detour on the way back." Leona took out her phone and showed him a picture of Fumina, all tied up and unconscious.
"Fumina!"
"Oh? Is that anger I hear in your voice Nozomi? I might have found a weakness to that ice-cold heart of yours. This girl seems precious I see."
"Damn woman!" As soon as he flared up, cracks suddenly appeared on the ground. Leona merely chuckled and stroked his hair.
"Hehe, I don't need a reply right now. As you can tell, I'm very patient. You still have my number so just call me if you've made up your mind. Although...I may just use your little doll as a means of entertainment..." With that said, Leona left, leaving Nozomi alone in his anger.
"DAMN IT!!!"

Miruka stood while expecting some sorts of answer from the Entity girl. However, it seems that something is stirring inside her, Miruka can felt it. He is well-aware that anything can happens and there isn't anyone that you can't trust, unless you know that person as if you know yourself. After all, besides Kyo and Patience, he's also seen through the wars. For now, he has already let loose. He knows very well that even if he was attacked, then he can still be able to counter easily. But like usual, fighting isn't his first option.

The girl lowered her arm and introduced herself to Miruka, "Alright Kindness... I am the Entity Diligence, and Ex-member of Synchronicity. My name is Rin. Rin Nakahara of the private armed organization Sacred Drive!", Miruka can see clearly the seriousness in every words that Rin said. He widen his eyes in surprise, but still, he kept his calm posture as if it was nothing. He has seen many things throughout the wars and changing sides in a heart beat like that is one of them.

"Unlike the Entity Envy, you didn't seem to have caused any trouble so I'll let you leave this place in peace. In accordance with the directives of Sacred Drive, we will not attack Entities unless they fire first", the girl said. A new total serious look has appeared in her eyes, "Though if you wish to cross swords with me right now, I would be very welcome to accommodate you. So, will you choose to fight here? Or will you leave quietly?"

Miruka sighed after hearing what the girl have just said. Without a second thought, he knows that he will just leave here without causing anymore troubles, although he is well-aware that he won't lose that easily. He then turned his head and looked on at the girl's look. "Kyo was right, she's very determined and have her own strenght, though I can clearly see her naivety, and that is what will pull her behind", Miruka thought, "but I know that she can still grow up. Hoping that one day, we can be united."

Miruka then gave a gentle smile, "Well, I can already guessed that you're a part of the Sacred Drive according to the uniform that you're wearing. And I hope that you won't regret the desicion that you've made. From the first start, I don't have any intentions to fight you. Fighting to me is pointless and it is the option that I will choose only when I feel that I needed to."

He paused for a bit, and then continued, "I don't want to fight anyone, especially if they're on my side, or at least used to. Well, I think this is it. I wish you'll be happy even if you don't have any chances to turn back now. But for now, remember my word: Everything is not what it seemed, even if you think that what you're running after is what you want, just look back and see for yourself if that's really what you needed. That's what I wanted to said as an Entity that has seen through the wars."

With that, he turned his back and slowly walked to the entrance, "Hoping that we won't have to facing each other on the battlefield, Nakahara-san", Miruka said as he waved to her from his back.

When he left the mall and walking on the street, he thinks back to the earlier encounter, "After all, we still can't be united?", he sighed, "but no matter what, my belief will never changed. Please continue to guide me, father."

Suddenly, Miruka received a message. He took out his phone and read it. It was from Kyo. "Well, maybe today couldn't get any worse", he smiled and then headed to the address that his friend has sent.

Kyo and Hikari are still sitting in front of Izumi, though Kyo can see that her expression have changed. "What's happened?", Hikari asked.

"Rin--won't be coming back to Synchronicity. She's already decided to return to Sacred Drive, her old group. And as her Catalyst, I can't abandon her. As her friend, I don't really want to. In the worst case scenario, we'll all end up fighting each other. Hehe...who would've thought things would turn out this way eh?", Izumi said to them with a sad smile.

"What?", Hikari surprised, "how could she turned her head against us? And you, if you don't want to, then why can't you just break the contract-"

"Hikari", Kyo spoke up and interrupted before Hikari could speak any more words, "don't worry, everything will worked out", he smiled to his Child. Then he turned to Izumi, "Look, because Rin didn't become an Entity as the same time as I did so I don't truly understand her. She's still young but it is good that she can be determined like that. I won't judge her decisions and I respect the path that she has chosen."

Kyo then stood up, he is still calm like a wind as ever, "Well, I guess that we can't get to see each other again", he still smiled gently to her, "but remember that it is never too late to look back. Come, Hikari."

The boy kept silent because he just didn't know what to say. When he heard Kyo, he nodded and stood up, "It was nice knowing you, Izumi-san", Hikari gave her a smile and then went out of the shop with his Entity and both of them get into the crowd on the street.

"So, what now?", Hikari asked, "Even though you're the strong, you can't just facing the Circus all by yourself."

"There will always be a way, Hikari", Kyo smiled, "and I won't be alone. Trust me."

While they were walking, they came across with the most unexpected person. "Leona?", Kyo stopped as he encounter the woman who has also seen through the wars with him, "Well, I didn't expect to see you here. Care for a drink somewhere? There's something that I need to talk and I assumed that you did too", Kyo paused for a moment, "And first, sorry for what I said yesterday. Just trust me, we grown up pretty much alike together, so no one really know you more than I did."

Before they headed to the bar, Kyo said to his Child, "Well, I needed sometime for myself though. Do you think you can head home by yourself?", he asked.

"Oh, no problem", Hikari replied, "I don't need anyone to babysit me, you know. I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself."

"Okay, I trust you", Kyo grinned to his Child while pulled out a knife from his pocket, "here, take this for self-defense. Try to stay out of troubles, kay?"

"Yeah, I know. Well", Hikari smiled as he took the knife from his Entity, "anything else you want to remind?"

"Ah, one more thing, if you happen to cross a man who is shorter than me a bit with an olive hair and he's wearing a necklace in the shape of a leaf than take him to your home with you and tell him to wait for me there."

"Huh?", Hikari wondered why Kyo asking that, but he has no reason to disobey his Entity, besides, this is a good chance to him to learn how to realize an Entity or a catalyst, "okay, if I come across him then I'll take him home. Well, see ya."

Hikari turned his back and went away. He was shortly nowhere to be seen in the crowd. Though it wasn't really safe, but Kyo believes in his Child. "Let's go", he said to Leona and both of them headed into the bar. When they sat on the counter, Kyo ordered a cup of whisky.

"Now then, what do you want to talk about? If it's about the incident last night, just forget about it", Leona asked.

Kyo took a sip from his drink and said, "Well before that, I know what you're thinking. As far as I remembered, I've never considered myself as a leader ever since I became an Entity. And I have no intentions to boss you guys around, okay? Just wanna clear that out."

Kyo then paused a bit and went straight to the main point, "Okay, first of all, I encountered Nozomi - the Entity of Sloth today at Izumi's coffee shop. Though he didn't do anything, I think he already knew that I was there. Luckily I did scare him off a bit with some tricks", Kyo giggled, "I must admit that in the Circus, I liked him the best, even though he never show himself much. Having someone like him as a brother might be fun. And when I'm on my way to do some of my jobs, I also found out that Alistair - Pride's catalyst has decided to act, so beware of him from now as you can always be spied on."

Kyo moved his finger around his glass, "And did you know what just happened today? The girl you fought yesterday has turned her back on us and she has gone back to her former group, Sacred Drive. Heh, it's funny how things have turned out. And you were right, she's a real fighter, but still young and naive", he then straighthen himself up and finished his drink in one sip, "We should be ready for the Circus at anytime. I know that working with someone is the last thing that you'd do. But this is about survival and we have to grab any chances we've got to win this. In the end, we will just go on with diffrent ways, won't we?"

He stretched his arms, "Well, that's all, I guess. I will discuss this with Miruka when I'm back to my Child's home. And you, did you happen to come across with anything lately? And what are you going to do about Rin? If you need any help then feel free to contact."

Miruka was walking, but it seems that he was kinda lost. "Ugh, haven't got out for a long time and now I got lost, how great is that?", he sighed. As he walked, he came across with a cute blue hair boy. "Hey, can you show me where this coffee shop is? I'm kinda lost...", Miruka showed the address, his insigna was visibly seen as it shining under the daylight.

The boy stared at Miruka which confused him a bit. Now that he is concentrate, he can felt an aura from the boy. Though this is more like the aura from a catalyst rather than an Entity.

"You're... Kyo's friend, right?", the boy asked. Miruka was quite surprised to hear that. "Yes, I am. A-Are you his Child?"

The boy nodded confusedly. Miruka then grinned and ruffled the boy's head. "Wow, Kyo was right about you. You ARE really cute", Miruka then straighthen himself up, "Well, my name's Miruka Hiroyuki, the Entity of Kindness. And you?"

"I-I'm Hikari Mizuhara. I've just became his Child yesterday. Nice to meet you", Hikari's face suddenly turned red, "oh, before I forgot. Kyo asked me to take you to my home and waited for him there."

"Didn't he tell me to come to this shop?", Miruka looked at his phone, "oh well, I guess the plan has changed. Okay, lead the way, I'm coming with you", he smiled softly.

Hikari still blushed a bit, "His smile is really nice...", he thought while make his way back to his apartment along with the Entity.

"Rin's decision is her own. While it is true that I fought her a few nights ago, I'm not really intending to kill her. I still have an obligation to fulfill to her, even if she's not aware of it herself. If you want to actively hunt her down and kill her then I'm sorry but, I'm taking her side. So do not make any hasty decisions yourself, lest you want this group to grow further apart because we can't respect each others' individual decisions.", Leona ordered another drink.

Kyo kept silent for a while and sink in every words that Leona said. Yeah, it seems that even though he has seen many things, yet he still have many things to learn in this long, lonely immortal life. But no matter, he accepts he still has flaws and that is what will make him stronger.

"It seems that even though I've went through a lot, yet I still need to learn. But yeah, due to my nature, all of those fighting stuffs aren't really fit me, I think. I couldn't be strong and determined like you, and I'm well-aware that I'm not a real leader at heart though", Kyo paused and call for another drink, "but thanks, for telling me what to do though. And about Rin, don't worry, I respect her decisions and I believe what she did is right. Maybe it is because that I've seen the Sacred Drive killed Miruka so I didn't really have a very positive look about them, but as you said, they're humans after all and like us, they did have a reason to stand up for themselves. So I think I'll give it a try. Well, I don't know if Rin would ever come and find you after this, but I hope you both will sort whatever problems you two have out. I don't have any intentions to find her or eliminate her, and I believe that no one would so don't worry about that. I understand that everyone have their own desires and their own reasons to thrive. That's what I thought and just know that I'm always respect whatever decisions that you guys made, now it is up to all of you to put aside all of your egos and stand up together."

"I haven't encountered anything thus far. You've been calling most of your friends, I see. Well, I'll be around in case you need me. Have a good night, Kyori Akiharu."

"You're such a dangerous woman, you know that?", Kyo giggled, "I will see what I can do for now. If I found out about anything, I'll let you know. It seems that I can't run away from my responsibilty anymore. So, see you around too, Leona Rain Vincent."

Kyo finished his drink and then stood up and make his way out from the bar. He knows that he finally have to act by now. So he looks on at a tall building at the district nearby. "This is it, there's no time to lose now", he thought with a determined smile

He made his way back to his Child's apartment, luckily Hikari has gave him the spare key. He opened the door to the apartment and walked in. "I'm back", Kyo said out loud. Just as the moment he stepped in, the first thing he saw is that Miruka was sitting on Hikari's sofa.

"Kyo-chin", Miruka said gleefully with a big grin on his face while ran from the sofa and hugged Kyo, which almost caused them to fell down, "do you realized how much I missed you?"

"Woah woah", Kyo chuckled and replied, "you're all over the place, you know that? It wasn't THAT long."

"Well, but I haven't meet you for quite some while", Miruka let go of Kyo and said, "though there are already so much troubles, I'm happy that I met you again. Finally we can actually do something together. I really miss that, you know?"

"Yeah yeah I know, stop making a scene like that", Kyo smiled, "okay, where's my Child?"

"I'm here, oniisan", Hikari spoke from the kitchen, "I'm just feeding Mizu. Just go on without me."

Kyo shrugged, "Oh well, sit, and we'll talk."

After some while, Kyo has told Miruka everything that he and Hikari has been through today. The olive hair boy could only nodded, though it seems that he was worried a bit.

"So you encountered both Rin and Serpent today?", Kyo asked.

"Yep, but I'm still in one piece. Happy?", Miruka playfully said.

"It seems that this is truly the time that I have to step up", Kyo looked up to the ceiling and said.

"So, what is your plan?"

"Are you still keeping the map the from headquarters of the Circus back when you infiltrate it in the second war?"

"Yep, always carrying with me", Miruka said as he pulled out a USB, "but what for?"

"You'll see. For now, just stay put and back me up", Kyo said. Miruka didn't really understand what his friend is up to, but he could only follow it for now.

Night falls.

Kyo and Miruka had had a great time together along with Hikari at his house. Though it was just a short period of time, they really did enjoy it even though they know that soon enough, they'll have to fight for their lives. After their dinner, Hikari invited Miruka to stay for the night, which he gladly accepted. When Hikari has said goodnight for the two, he went to his room, leaving behind two Entities.

"He's a sweet boy, I must say", Hikari complimented, "my Child is also a nice girl too. Too bad I've lost contact with her."

"So even though you and your catalyst are apart, she's still decided to keep the contract?"

"Yeah, I don't know why, but that's okay, I want her to continue to live on a normal life. So many people has already affected by the wars, we should end this once and for all", Miruka looked up the roof and said, "so, are you ready?"

"Do I ever?", Kyo giggled, even though he knows that he'll go on a mission, he still keeping his calm posture, "Come, let's go to my room."

They both stood up and went to Kyo's room. Miruka sat on his bed as he pulled out his laptop from his backpack. "It's been a long while, eh? I really did miss this."

"Tell me about it", Kyo reached to his own backpack and pulled out another scarf just like the scarf he is wearing, "in case you forgot, this is the scarf which I've specially enhanced. As long as I'm wearing it, it'll completely hinder my aura and no Entities should be able to feel my presence, unless they really focus."

"Yeah, I remember", Miruka chuckled, "so why didn't you just wear it earlier?"

"I don't think it was necessary", Kyo said as he put on the scarf, "let's begin now. Remember to back me up carefully, okay?"

"Did I ever disappoint you?", Miruka playfully responsed, "here, I've installed the cracking program in your phone. Do you remember how to hack?"

"I'm not that forgetful, you know", Kyo took his phone from Miruka, "well, see ya later, Miru-kun."

"Good luck, Kyo-chin", Miruka smiled and said to his friend. Kyo then opened the window and jumped out to the tree next to it and slid down to the ground. He began to ran and made his way to the Circus' headquarters in a district nearby. The moon is shining brightly today and there weren't a lot of people on the street now. A perfect night for an infiltrate mission.

After a while, Kyo has made it to the building. It is a ten-floor building looking just as normal as any other building in this city, though Kyo is well-aware that this is truly the earthly headquarters of the Sinner's Circus. "This is it, Sinner's Circus, here I come", he thought and smiled a determined smile.

He sneakily passed through the wall and went straight into the emergency exit nearby. The door was locked by an auto-lock. "You're making this too easy...", Kyo thought as he pulled out his phone and a wire. He then connected his phone with the lock and started to hacked. After somewhile, he managed to unlock the entrance pretty effortlessly. He put on his speaker. With that, he dialed Miruka, "I've found my way into the mother loathe. Now it's your turn."

Back in Kyo's room, Miruka answered excitedly, he really love to back up his members on missions like this. "Got it", he turned on his laptop, "let the fun begin", he thought. Through some installment and hacking, he managed to got the position of Kyo on the map and was able to control every cameras in the building and the screen is looking like a CCTV. "It should be clear from the position you're standing, there shouldn't be any guards there. Make your way to the second floor by the stairs nearby, remember not to make a scene."

Kyo nodded and followed exactly what his friend said. His steps were swift and silent and he cautiously looking around if there are anyone patrolling. From then on, Miruka instructed and watching every movements that Kyo made. They worked together in perfect harmony and Kyo has managed to pass through every guards that were patrolling the building.

"You almost reached the 7th floor by now, that is where the information room situated. There's a guard was walking near where you're standing. Hide in a pavement near there and waited until he's gone and you're free to run on the stairs."

Kyo nodded and hide away. When the guard is gone, he made his way to 7th floor. "I'm here, are there anyone around?", he asked through the speaker.

"Nope, the information room should be on your left. Explore a bit and you'll find it. Get the information and get outta there. I'll be coming there shortly too."

He then swiftly walked to his left and find the room, but just as he was going to opened it, he felt a presence was coming at himm and no doubt this is from an Entity. "Kyo-chin, don't go in there yet! Someone is inside", Miruka warned. Just as the door opened, Kyo managed to hide in a corner near there by the skin of his tooth. Because it was dark so Kyo didn't realize who it was. After that person has gone, he went into the information room. "I made it", Kyo chuckled.

"Looks like after a long while, your skill hasn't got rusted at all, Kyo-chin", Miruka said, "okay, I'm coming there. Check if there are any information about their motives and got out."

"Got it", Kyo said then turned off the speaker. He turned to the computer which is still left on. He sat down and began to checked the contain of the files inside. There are nothing particular there except for some files that Kyo thinks that it maybe useful. He copying the files to his phone. When he finished, he pulled out the wire and put his phone back to his pocket. He was intended to leave by then.

Suddenly, he felt that someone is returning to the room. Without a moment to lose, he opened the window near there and jumped into the balcony on a lower floor and jumped back on the ground. Kyo landed gracefully and quickly got out of there. "Phew, that was close", he said as he swept the sweat on his forehead. It seems that his undercover mission was successful. He began to run back until he came across with Miruka.

"Did you manage to find anything?", Miruka asked.

"Yeah, I will explain later. Right now, we have to make our ways to our own basement first."

"Heh, it's also been a while since the last time we went there, didn't we?", Miruka laughed.

Kyo nodded and then both of them began to made their way into an old, abandoned street in the remoted area of the City. But just as they're on their way, they caught sight of another two person who are also radiating Entities' aura. Though this presence must be from the ones that are from their side. Kyo quickly realized one of them is Patience - Leona Rain Vincent.

"Well, it seems that it was quite a coincidence to bump into you twice a day, Leona-oneesan", Kyo chuckled while both of them went to the two. Miruka regconized the man who was standing next to Leona, "I think I know you. You're Masenai Autoro, the Virtue of Charity, right? I'm Miruka Hiroyuki, Virtue of Kindness. Nice to meet you", he smiled and gave them a bow.

"I've been thinking about what you said earlier, Leona, and I know that I have to step it up to my responsibility. So tonight, I've went and collect some information about our opponents. And I am well-aware that both me and Miruka here are not the perfect type of tacticians and fighters at heart, due to our nature. But it doesn't mean that we're useless. And now, we need help from veterans like both of you. So, will you agree to help us?", Kyo said to the both.

Masenai paused in his mantra of testing the humans as a woman came up to him. Actually, he felt her coming, her aura was that strong. He silently smiled as she spoke. "Hello Patience. We may have crossed paths before but I am uncertain." He said to the woman as he flipped his cup around with one finger. "To answer your first question, I have many, as you say, skeletons in the closet. But it's best they stayed out of sight for me. For I would then be lost in a sea of memory, and remember numerous times of battle and strife."

He was about to answer her second question, when he heard two other virtues coming. From the way they sounded to him, they were greenhorns. Naive, simple, over eager, greenhorns. One actually began to address him by title and name! He sighed and drew to his full six feet of height and approached Kindness first. "First off, never under any circumstances say your full name and title in public like that, again. No one knows who else may be watching, or listening." he stated as he moved his shoulders in a slight stretching motion.

"Now you, Mr. Info gatherer. Did you really get the info? Or did you just get the humans info of them? Subtle differences, Sky Head. And as for my help, I only act when I am needed. You do not know better about the wars. The endless cycle of Good and Evil. You may know of me, but you do not know me. I'll be searching for a more quieter place for me to observe humanity now. Thank you." he then turned and started walking but he motioned for Leona to follow in an invitation to come if she wishes.

"I better hope Kiku isn't getting into any trouble...."

------

Robin's eyes brightened at Rion's invitation to buy him a drink. "Really?! Oh you're an Angel!" he shouted enthusiastically. He was happy to hear that he would finally quench his thirst in the heat. "I promise to pay back every penny! I double promise on me grave!" he gave an almost traditional bow of gratitude his mother taught him.

Kyo and Miruka listened Masenai's "lecture" in silent. When the man turned his back, Kyo turned to his friend and nodded. There usual calm posture has changed and something are stirring in them.

"I see", Kyo said with a serious tone, "so in the end, you're just like the rest."

"I'm sorry, but my title is Kindness, not Maturity", Miruka said with a serious look, "I am fully aware that we can always be spied on."

"Since no Entites we came across wants to be united as what they called "Synchronicity", then fine, there will be no such thing as Synchronicity from now on. We should just continue with our own fights until this very war end. If there are no lines between of what you called as Good and Evil, then we will make one", Kyo smirked challengingly, "you think that we're just a bunch of greenhorns, but that is how we fight, and I don't think we understand the ways that you fight."

With that, both Kyo and Miruka jumped onto the balcony of a house nearby and then jumped onto the roof of it, looking down at the two, "If you never truly understand the true meaning of sacrifice, then please, you're just as naive as us", Miruka said. Before turning their backs and got away, Kyo said, "It seems that we can't work with each other, so there are no reasons for us to meet again. Still, if you want, then after all of this has done, find us and we shall decided between the "Maturity" and the "Naivety", who'll won. Have a good night."

Then they jumped to the roofs of the other buildings and quickly got out of sight. They then headed back to Hikari's apartment as they decided that since there were only two of them now, they should just let there basement as it is. On the way, Miruka asked, "Do you think we've made the right choice?", he sighed, "in the time we needed Chastity here to united us the most, she didn't turn up. The fate must be playing with us."

"We've never meant to be like that, but there are no other ways to turn back now", Kyo said calmly, "They were right. We've been taking it too lightly and now it's time to step it up, even if it means that we have to face anyone that opposed us by our own."

"I'm with you, Kyo-chin", Miruka smiled as they reached their destination. "I guess I should headed back to my place and see the information by myself, hopefully that we'll find something useful", Miruka said as they stood on top of Hikari's apartment, "may I borrowed your phone for the night?"

"Sure", Kyo handed his phone to Miruka, "Well, sleep well, Miru-kun."

"You too, Kyo-chin", he grinned and gave Kyo a friendly hug then went straight to his own home. Kyo jumped down to the tree and went into his room through the window. That is enough for tonight.

"Tsk! So much for being a veteran...losing your cool like that is--" Leona sighed at this revelation. She does understand that they have good intentions but, most of their ways are too rash. Fortunately, Leona was used to dealing with conflicts like this, as the Entity of Patience. She spoke up, a lone feminine voice among the three males.
"If you don't mind, could you tarry a little?" Leona called out to Masenai who was about to leave. Turning to all three of them, she finally spoke up. Taking three darts infused with her blood, she threw it in three directions, obscuring their auras and letting them be ignored by ordinary passerby.

"Alright, first off, Kyo, Miruka--you've been acting too rashly. Let me explain how a war is truly won. You can't win this war just by annihilating the enemy alone. You must also garner the support of the country--no, in this case, city's populace. At this point, the normal population do not know the distinction between Synchronicity and the Circus. If we were to attack first, then the population would see us as the ones who is morally wrong. It's hard but we must face the facts as of now. The Circus hasn't done anything too detrimental to society aside from a few problems here and there. So, hypothetically, what if we destroy all of Circus by attacking first? Then the populace would turn against us, causing only an endless cycle of misery and strife." Leona paused to catch her breath before continuing.

"There is a way to defeat them but we must wait. We must also place restrictions on how much are we going to let our emotions dictate our actions. In battle, one must only exert enough power to make the enemy lose the will to fight. Any less and your side loses. Any more and new chaos will bloom. The thing is, while many understands this fact, there are also a lot who don't."

"Since no Entites we came across wants to be united as what they called "Synchronicity", then fine, there will be no such thing as Synchronicity from now on. We should just continue with our own fights until this very war end. If there are no lines between of what you called as Good and Evil, then we will make one."

"Good and evil. Connected to what I said earlier. There is no such thing as truly good nor truly evil. It all depends on how society perceives it. A society of cannibals will perceive cannibalism as good yes? Same thing here. Believe it or not, there are reasonable members among Circus which, if they choose to reveal themselves, may even command the sympathy of the people. There is a Circus member who doesn't kill, which is viewed as good by the people. This is what's making this whole affair difficult. There is no black and white. Everything is a vast expense of gray. Circus is capable of doing good, in the same way as Synchronicity is capable of doing evil." Pause. She looked at each of them in the eye.

"It's not as if we do not want to be united. It's just that most of us have seen enough of this endless warfare and we've lost a lot of comrades. None of us wants to bear that pain again. Individually, yes, we are weak. As a group, yes, we are stronger. But, Circus does have a strong bond as well, which they've proven time and time again. For an analogy, how many of Synchronicity's founding fathers remain? Aside from me, there's only Charity maybe. Compared to three amongst Circus. I myself, have only been successful in killing the First Wrath and even then, it was no easy feat. It takes time and careful consideration. We're at a point where the risks far outweighs any sign of reward." She wanted to say more but the two have decided to turn around and leave as well. Feeling slightly frustrated and disappointed, she turned to Masenai.

"You don't suppose my words reached them at all do you?"

Masenai almost literally stopped dead in his tracks as he heard Kyo's words. They didn't believe they were united anymore? Calmly pressing his head against one finger he raised his other finger almost like an antenna and tried to broadcast his telepathy to the two younger virtues. "Bound by the light, never to break apart, if broken the light will fade, and only dark will remain. Those are the words stated by the founders of Synchronicity. If we are not united now then the enemy has already won. I will not see Synchronicity splinter. As one of the founding members, it is my duty to uphold the group. I do not believe in total war as I did in the days when I was like you, back then I was rash, and I endangered many innocent lives. I do not want to go half-way into battle with my head in the clouds again, and endanger innocent humans in the process. If you truly wish for my help, then find me in an old Abandoned Cathedral. I was about to say, the time when I am needed is near."

Removing his finger from his temple he looked at Leona with an almost sad, somber look. "I merely wanted to test their hearts. To see if they are truly capable of fighting the Circus. They have potential. They just need someone to guide them. It's a shame I too have a child otherwise I'd pour all my mentoring into training the new entities. I'm getting to old for this." he said with a small smirk on his face. "Speaking of Children, we'll have to locate ours now. If knowing mine he didn't stray far from the one child I told him to follow."

----

Robin took the bottle and drank from it with a smile on his face. He silently nodded at the suggestion. "You'd be the first I'd go to. I need to find a way to make some money. Do you know if there's any wanted criminals here other then the circus?" he asked with an almost straight face. He hadn't seen a good bounty anywhere.

Kyo and Miruka resting peacefully over the grass field on the bank of a river somewhere in the suburb area of Friergate. After the incident last night, they've decided it'd be for the best to just laying low and wait until everyone has arrived and they can come up with a plan with the Circus. The sun was shining brightly and the wind gently blows, another peaceful day before the storm come.

"So there aren't anything in the files that I copied yesterday?", Kyo leaned his back on the grass and put his head on his arm then turned to Miruka.

"Nope, it's just a bunch of records from the first and second wars, nothing really particular", Miruka said as he lazily looking up onto the sky and observing the drifting clouds, "except for one thing..."

"What is that?"

"When I looked up to the file, there's one line in the records said that they retreated back to their headquarters after their mission in January 12th a few years ago, it was the time during the second war. However, if I remember correctly, one of our member did go on an undercover mission to infiltrate their headquarter on the same day, but he found out that the HQ was completely deserted and there are absolutely no signs of any Entities or catalysts there."

"Which means..."

"Yeah, they didn't return to the headquarter like what has been written in the records. But I'm sure that they have to stick together because it was in the middle of the war back then, the tension was no joke and parting into different directions wouldn't be a wise option. So I could come up with only one conclusion: they must still have another hideout somewhere", Miruka said.

"I see", Kyo raised his eyebrows, "so they really did have another hidden HQ, huh?"

"It seems that no one know about that HQ's existence except for the Sins, so we have no ideas where it was. And because when you entered the headquarters that we knew yesterday, you only came across with an Entity when you went to the information room, it seems that they're still hiding in that secret HQ at this time too."

"Maybe they left him or her there just for patrolling", Kyo shrugged, "oh well, that's the Circus, always being cautious."

"Yeah, but just as we don't know about their secret HQ, they probably don't know about ours either", Miruka chuckled, "so there are no reasons to worry just yet."

"Say, Miru-kun", Kyo sat up and looked at the flowing river, "I've been thinking about what Leona and Masenai said yesterday."

"And?", Miruka replied.

"Do you think what they said were right, that the ones that have been heading in wrong directions are us?", Kyo turned to his friend.

Miruka keep silent for a while to think about it, what the two Entities they came across yesterday said did bother him a bit, "I don't agree that we've been acting rashly", he spoke calmly, "I mean, I've been staying undercover all the time and no sooner than yesterday that I came out from my retreat, right? And I don't attract any attention when I dealt with Nakahara and Serpent. And you, you haven't been making any major moves ever since you came here except that you've found a Child who was Hikari-san, and when you saw Nozomi, you didn't face him directly and just simply scared him off, am I correct?"

Kyo nodded, "Maybe they think that way because we've been a little too intense yesterday. But I must admit that they do have their points. They're the ones that has seen through the wars and also one of the ones that founded Synchronicity, which means that they have more experience than we did. We still have a lot to learn if we want to be as strong as the First Humility and your father. I know we're not weak, but we should just listen to them and staying low for now. Okay?"

"Yeah, it was for the best, I guess", Miruka grinned and continued with another subject, "I think Chastity should turn up soon. In the previous wars, we have conflicts like this back then too, and Chastity is the one that stood up and united us all. I hope that this time she'll resolve all of our disagreement and we can be united. We're willing to work with them anytime, now it's up to them to hear the call of union and fighting with us as a team to win this."

"I agree", Kyo smiled, "and I have a feeling that the remaining Entities and Children will also arrive soon."

"Well, let's go back", Kyo stood up, "just laying around here isn't going to give us any thoughts about what to do from here."

"Yeah, I agree", Miruka yawned and got on his feet, "say, do you want to have a swim? It's been a little too hot recently."

"Oh come now", Kyo growled, "you said that because you clearly know that I'm never going to beat you in that, do you?"

"Hehe, it's the only thing I'm good at anyway", Miruka grinned, "so, wanna come?"

Kyo shrugged, "I guess there aren't anything for me to do anyway and Hikari won't be back until late afternoon. So yeah, I'm coming", Kyo giggled.

"That's the spirit. Let's go", Miruka gleefully said and both of them began to make their way to a swimming pool nearby. But just as they were walking, they heard people on the street were fussing something about a serial-killer who kill anyone who betrayed the ones that loved them or having affairs on their back, while some of the teenagers are talking something about a requesting website suggesting targets for killer to kill certain people. And finally, a big TV screen on a building broadcasting about that killer caught their attention.

Both of them then stopped, Kyo turned to Miruka, "This seems suspicious. Mass murder isn't something that is rare in this city, but I think there's something fishy about the "kill anyone who betrayed their lovers trust" part."

Miruka nodded, "I agree. We should considering look into this, it might have something to involve with the Circus."

Then they continued to walk, trying to act as normal as they could. Though they wouldn't worry too much about being found since Kyo is wearing his aura-hinder scarf and he has also enhanced Miruka's necklace earlier so that it'll have the same effect and it won't wear off until the end of this day. On their ways, they came across with a park. But suddenly, Miruka stopped and looked into the park's ground as if he regconized someone there.

Kyo turned his back, "Hey, what happened?"

"That woman with white hair looks familiar", Miruka said as he watched the woman with white hair sitting on a bench in the park, next to her is a man with silvery blue hair who seems to be as tall as him and they were talking to each other. "Let's go and have a closer look."

Kyo nodded and both of them slowly approached the two. When Miruka have a more clearer look at her face, he finally regconized who she is. But the man standing next to her also caught both of their attention because of the aura he was radiating. Kyo was expecting the woman to be an Entity, but he found out that her aura was the same like a normal human, in contrast with the intense aura of the man. "Maybe she is just some of Miruka's acquaintances?", Kyo thought.

"Astraea-oneesan?", Miruka walked up and asked the woman with a smile, gaining her attention, "wow, I never thought that you'd turn up here. Do you remember me?"

A day at school seemed to quickly passing and it was on the edge of twilight now. The sunset began to set and the whole scenery is covered with an orange color. All of the students seemed to have returned to their homes now, except for Hajime who has duty to do the chore today and Hikari who was practicing on the school's ground with his team.

Hajime sighed in relief and swept the sweat on his forehead after he has finished sweeping the floor, "That should do it. Now let's see if Hikari-san has finished practicing or not", he thought as he put the sweeping broom and the basket to their place. He then grabbed his school bag and got out of the classroom and closed the door.

He was walking to the end of the hall where the stairs situated, but suddenly, someone was running on the opposite side of him and bumped into him. Both of them landed on the ground. "Ow", Hajime frowned and grumbled as he rubbed his back. He set his eyes and see who was the one bumped into him.

"Mika-san?", Hajime realized that it was the girl who was being bullied in his class, Mika Iriai, "why are you running like that? Did you forget something?", he asked gently.

He then stood up and reached out his hand to help her stand up, he picked up her school bag. "Here", Hajime swept away the dust and gave it to Mika, "be careful, okay? Have a nice evening", he smiled brightly and waved goodbye to the girl. Most of everyone in his class treated her like a freak, except for him and Hikari since they detest bullying. Hajime sees her just as normal as everyone and wanted to befriend with her, but he didn't find any chances to approach her since both of them are, kind of shy.

When he got to the first floor, he saw that Hikari has finished his practice and he was putting his shoes into his locker. "Hey, finished yet?", Hajime smiled and said out loud as he walked to his friend.

"Yeah, I'm done. Ready to go?", Hikari grinned and said. Hajime nodded and both of them went out of the school and made their ways to the coffee shop they usually hang out.

"Yes, I'm very much alright, thanks for asking. I merely thought that sleeping in such a beautiful park like this was better compared to sleeping within the cold confines of the alleyways. Friergate sure has a lot of beautiful parks like this one."

"Hm...yes, I'll agree on the fact with Friergate's parks, but Miss, it's a bit dangerous to be sleeping outside, what with Friergate's crime rate." Kaito pointed out, but smiled nevertheless. As the woman was standing up, he heard the growl from her stomach and couldn't help but stifle a small laugh in his throat.

"Oh I'm sorry! If you don't mind, can you point me to the nearest drinking fountain? I do not have any currency with me to afford the bottled commodities."

"Miss, are you sure water will keep you sustained? If you want, I'll take you to the coffee shop I work at- Ah, only if you want to though." Kaito offered as he heard her mention the drinking fountain. He was a bit worried for her- Homeless, sleeping outside, and she only sustained herself with water. He felt...pity for her. But neither of them managed to say anything as two boys came up to them.

"Astraea-oneesan?"

The name made Kaito blink. He was a second-generation Virtue...the Second Chastity? Was this woman the Second Chastity? He turned to look at the boys before he glanced back at the woman. He didn't interact much with Chastity in the Second Wars- he heard that she might be in hiding- while he was providing support for the other Virtues. He turned to look at the other two- a blue-haired boy just three inches taller than him, and an olive-haired one just as tall as him. Nevertheless, Kaito felt suspicious. They mentioned the name of the Second Chastity, and...he felt his knightly nature kick in as he reached over. "Miss, can I talk to you privately for a second?" He gently took the girl's hand as he turned away and started to walk away briskly. "I'll point you to a drinking fountain I know around these parts..." The only reason Kaito started to drag her away was that he felt suspicious. They knew her name- Who knew if they were Circus members?

Finally, he reached the coffee shop he worked at and let go, sighing. "Sorry Miss...it was an instinct." He apologized.

Alistair was resting in the Sky Castle when he heard the caw of a raven. He sat up from the couch, turning his tired gaze to a raven- Nozomi's raven. He frowned a bit- If Nozomi sent something up to the Sky Castle then something had definitely been discovered. He walked over and viewed the camera attached to the raven. There was a man, dead, with a poem detailing his sins of being a wife beater and disloyalty. He thought for a bit, frowning. "Come to think of it, there was a man who was killed with the message calling out Synchronicity written in his blood..."

Nodding, he turned around to deliver a message to a few Sins he knew. "Someone has to aid Nozomi in his investigation." He explained, sending the message to Lionel. The Entity of Greed's reply came almost immediately after he sent it. "I'm busy. You wanted me to check up on that school where your owl picked up faint auras, remember? You're just holding me on standby because you needed someone to go with me so we didn't look too obvious." Alistair sighed, remembering the command towards Lionel. Finally, he turned to the girl on the couch adjacent to his. Turquoise eyes glared back at him. "...This is it? You're sending me out to work with that guy? We're both lazy as hell." Alistair kept his stern stare on the girl before Serpent threw up her hands in surrender, getting up.

"Okay, okay, I'll go. Fine. It's always little ol' third generation Serpent anyway." She groaned as she started to move away from the couch. Just then, Lionel came in through the portal and nodded to Alistair. "You called?" "Yes. I need you both to go on missions." The Catalyst of Pride turned away. "Wait here."

As they watched Alistair's retreating back, Serpent turned to Lionel. "Slave driver..." "That's Alistair for you." "What's that Nozomi guy like anyway?" "Someone you'd really expect to be Sloth." Serpent just sighed and gave up on trying to talk to the Entity of Greed.

Unknown to the two Entities awaiting, Alistair went into the lower dungeons. He progressed through until he reached a particular cell, which he unlocked and stepped into. It was dark inside, the walls padded, and the hisses of snakes sounding all around the place. He frowned as one brushed past his leg- It was like the cell in an mental asylum. Mostly because of the man grinning and laughing in the center of the room, his arms bound by the straitjacket he was in. "Erebus." He called out, but before he could ask anything else, the voice cut him off. "Ah...the snakes can't wait, Alistair. They want their mother soon...it's hard being a father when your wife is always out and about, don't you know?" Erebus snickered, looking at the Catalyst of Pride with his gleaming eyes.

"That's exactly why I'm here. Envy is in the study- She's going on a mission soon." Almost like a child, Erebus suddenly jumped to his feet without the use of his arms. "Really now?! Am I to join her?!" "I'll explain more as we come up. Come with me." Alistair beckoned as he turned around and started walking. Erebus followed eagerly, around seven snakes following him closely behind. As they reached the room Serpent and Lionel were in, he shut his eyes to block out the light a bit.

Serpent noticeably paled as she noticed Erebus. "Don't tell me he's coming along..." She said, glaring at Alistair. Her glare softened a bit as the snakes naturally rushed to her. Alistair shook his head as he untied Erebus's bindings and watched as the Entity of Gluttony threw off the white shirt. "No. Only the snakes are coming with you. Erebus will join Lionel in checking that school." Erebus frowned a bit, but started to snicker. "Oh boy..." Lionel sighed, exasperated. "No problem, Alistair. Although you could have called me at a mission where I can...devour things." "Next time, Erebus. Next time." Erebus stretched as he started to walk to Lionel's side, placing his cold hand on Serpent's shoulder and whispering. "Maybe when we get back?" "In your dreams." The Entity of Envy rolled her eyes. Alistair nodded at the three.

"You understand your mission?" "Yes." "Yeah, sort of." "Whatever..." Alistair just sighed at the two snake-controllers' reactions to his question. "I'll keep in touch with all of you through telepathy. Well then, I wish you...good luck."

"Astraea-oneesan? Wow, I never thought that you'd turn up here. Do you remember me?"

Astraea was somehow astonished at the sudden turn of events. One second, she was just about to leave and the next, she was immediately surrounded by two more guys, totaling three that were surrounding her. She recognized the voice that called her by name but, not the face though. Unfortunately, lonely years of wandering somehow affected her memory.
"That voice...it belonged to Kindness, Miruka. But--did he always look like that? He seemed a bit--jagged?" Before she could speak out though, the man earlier suddenly dragged her away, preventing any other form of further interaction.
"So sorry young man, you may have mistaken me for somebody else. Have a nice day though!" She called out to the two while her voice could still be heard. She also felt suspicious though. If he was indeed the Entity Kindness she knew, then who was the guy with him? Did Miruka compromise their cover by revealing their existence to that blue-haired passerby? She wanted to ask him herself but before she knew it, they had arrived at a coffee shop around the district.

"Sorry Miss...it was an instinct."

Astraea sighed. She always found it hard to deal with boys and their "instincts". Still, this man was from Synchronicity but, she wondered why he didn't recognize Miruka, her old ally. His aura was rather old, reminiscent of hers, the last of the Second Generations. Calmly, she proceeded to speak.
"I understand but please, avoid dragging any more women in the future like that. They may be kind-hearted people like you and, a simple talking through usually clears up lots of problems. The light of the human heart hasn't disappeared just yet." She told him as she surveyed the shop. "This shop looks too posh. Are you certain there is a free drinking service here? I'm severely lacking in funds as you may see." Astraea asked the Entity. She wondered about Miruka though but, her growling stomach suggested otherwise.

She wasn't sure if she's ready to go back to the front lines anyway. Still, if Miruka was here then, maybe her old allies were in the city as well?

"U-uh, n-no, t-thank you..." Mika thanked Hajime as she grabbed the things she dropped while running. She was trying to avoid the other girls who were looking for her when she accidentally bumped into him. It's a good thing Akito was asleep though, otherwise he may have mentioned some other things that will only hurt her feelings. After getting her things, she walked away, without looking back, slightly blushing at the thought that he reached out his hand to help her.

"Aki-san mustn't know that I messed up another chance to find some facts about this boy!" She didn't realize she was walking faster than usual that when she reached the gates, she was almost out of breath. Coughing and wheezing, she took out her packed water bottle and took a sip. Regaining her composure, she headed to Willow's Square, the shopping plaza near their school. It had a lot of things: A karaoke, where most of the girls hang out. A manga cafe and arcade for the boys, a club, a nice coffee shop, a fashion store and various dining establishments. She took her time walking around. These short moments of mental freedom was treasure for Mika. She made her way to the bookstore, browsing through the occult section. As she was about to head into the next shelf, another girl almost bumped into her. She was able to dodge her but she apologized nonetheless.

"Ah, sorry." She muttered without even looking up as she exited the store. She mildly blushed at this. After having been bullied for a long time, she feels this way to anyone who offers her even the least bit of kindness. Even if it was another girl. "What are you getting flustered about? If small acts like that are enough to get you all riled up, what more if you get a present or something?" She immediately shook her head in protest. "Whatever. You haven't forgotten why you came here didn't you?"

"No, not at all." Sighing, she put down the book she was holding. It was a big book about potions and other spells. Akito noticed this and that his host was nearing the brink of tears. "Geez Mika, why bother with those books when you can ask me? The legit thing? Fine, you can have it. But please, do not compromise our "budget"." Mika smiled and mentally thanked Akito as she purchased the book. Making her way outside, she seemed to have spotted the two boys she was tasked to observe head inside the coffee shop. She wanted to come closer to properly thank Hajime but, a nudge from Akito made her think otherwise.

After her trip to the store, she headed into the top section of the strip mall, where hobby shops are located. She went inside the most unexpected shop for a girl like her to visit. She was now inside a store dedicated to hunting equipment. What it was doing here, she doesn't know. But, the school doesn't really have any jurisdiction on the mall so--
"Yes, may I help you?" A nice, big clerk asked her.
"U-umm...I-I'm h-here to pick up an order by Akito Hagane? I-I'm his n-niece..." Mika stuttered badly as she wasn't sure if the man will believe her. Surprisingly, he gave her a sly smile as he led her around the back. Taking out a black box, he opened the case to reveal the contents. It was a jet-black FN Five-SeveN.
"Akito sure hasn't ordered for some time. I figured since he had gotten weak, he might need a little assistance. This gun has already been fine tuned to the specs he asked for. I also prepared the rounds for it." He placed three magazines worth of 5.7x28 mm cartridges. "This man is a Circus sympathizer. I usually get my weapons from him when I was still learning to control my powers. If there is any other weapon you want, just ask him." Sensing a bit of confusion from the girl, he supposed he should explain further. "Ah, right. I made the preparations when I took over your body a month ago. That's why you have nothing else to explain aside from my name. Go on, take it and replace that stupid kitchen knife on your thigh."

After all was done, she went out of the shop and headed home, walking on foot out of fear that the metal detectors on the bus and vehicles might be set off. Arriving at her room, she loaded the firearm and held it in her hands. Thoughts of blood and killing rushed into her head as she recalled the scene three years ago. Unable to bear it, she ran to the bathroom and threw up, emptying herself of everything she's eaten--which was almost nothing.

"Oh boy, this might be a little more complicated than I thought..."

When Miruka asked, the woman turned around and looked at him with confusing eyes. It seems that somehow she did regconize him, although she still have some suspicions about Miruka. Well, it has been a long time and everyone changed, right? And even though Miruka stayed the same on the inside, he has changed so much on the outside that pretty much no one realize him anymore, except for Kyo who has been growing up with him.

"Oh, I guess maybe it's because I've changed quite a bit?", Miruka smiled, "It's me, Mi-"

Before Miruka could finished his sentence, the tall man interrupted and took Astraea away before Miruka could realize. "So sorry young man, you may have mistaken me for somebody else. Have a nice day though!", she said out loud so that Miruka and Kyo could hear before she and the man was nowhere to be seen in the crowd.

"Wait!", Miruka shouted, but there were no one answering him. He stared at the crowd for a bit. "She is definitely Astraea-oneesan, there's no doubt about it. But who is that man?", he thought.

"Hey", Kyo walked to him and patted him on his shoulder, "could you explain to me what's going on here?"

Miruka turned to his friend and sighed, "That woman is Astraea Cyril Acustica, the Second Chastity", he answered, "I used to fight alongside her in the Second War after I've became an Entity. Though it seems that she didn't realize me because it has been so long."

"She's an Entity?", Kyo questioned, "so why did her aura is just as the same like a normal person?"

"It is one of her abilities. She can hinder her aura so that she could staying undercover, like you, Kyo-chin. Though her ability is somewhat more perfect. And because you're wearing that scarf, I guess she couldn't felt your aura too."

Kyo looked at his scarf and then turned to Miruka, "I see... Well, it is a good sign don't you think? You said that she'd be the one that unite us, right?", Miruka nodded, "and the man, do you know who he is? His aura seemed to be quite old though not as old as you so I guess that he's also an Entity belonged to the previous generations."

"Yeah, he seems strong, I must say", Miruka frowned as he moved his hand to his chin and thought, "according to his aura, he's probably on our side too so there's nothing to worry. He seemed a little familiar though. Oh well", Miruka stretched his arms, "maybe I'll remember who that guy is after a good swim. Coming?"

Kyo shrugged, "I'm always with you. Well, what are we waiting for? The last one got to the swimming pool is the young buffalo", Kyo grinned as he began to run.

"Not that fast", Miruka laughed and run after Kyo, feeling as if they are becoming children again.

Hikari and Hajime walking on the street while talking and laughing with each other. Yeah, they knew that the storm is about to come, but they're the Children after all, and literally, they deserved to live innocently for some while, right? After walking for a while, they reached the coffee shop. But before Hajime entered, he saw that Mika was stepping out from a book shop across the street. She seemed to be in a hurry though. He waved to her, but it seems that she didn't see him and quickly went into the crowd. Hajime sighed and went into the coffee shop, which is also the place that his Entity is currently working.

The moment he stepped in, he didn't see Kaito around. "Weird, where did he go? Shouldn't it be his shift by now?", Hajime thought while looking at the watch. Then he and Hikari sat at a table in the corner of the coffee shop. A waitress came and took their orders. Before she left, Hajime asked, "Uh, can I ask where Kaito-san is? Isn't it his shift by now?"

"Oh, Tsukuyomi-san? He said he would be late a little bit but I think he should turn up soon", the waitress replied.

"Thanks, miss", Hajime smiled and the woman bowed to them politely before went to another table. A moment later, their drinks were brought to them and they took a sip at their own drinks before speaking up.

"There's something I want to ask you..."

"I want to ask you something..."

"Ergh...", Hajime blushed a bit before turned to his side and Hikari also do the same. It seems that this subject is harder to speak out than they thought. Hajime looked around to see if there are anyone suspicious and when he felt that there are no other particular aura rather than his and Hikari's, he turned to his best buddy, took a deep breath and said with a small voice so that only both of them could hear.

"Are you someone's catalyst?", Hajime asked. Even though Hikari has prepared for this, he was still surprised. He couldn't believe that his best friend is also a catalyst. Tried to keep calm as much as possible, Hikari nodded, "Y-Yes, I am a Child. So you too...?"

Hajime sighed in relief, it seems that he wouldn't have to worry about anything for now. He replied to Hikari, "Yeah, I'm also a Child, like you. Wow, I can't believe that we aren't just best bros forever, we're also allies on the same side", he grinned.

"I couldn't believe it either", Hikari giggled, "so, how have you been a Child? And whose Child are you?"

"Well, remember when I talked about when I was being found by my aunt and have my own apartment before I went to school?", Hajime said, although he don't want to remember back then anymore, he knows he could share everything with his best friend, "I went back to find Kaito-san and he offered me to become his Child, which I accepted and I've been a catalyst since then."

Hikari was pretty surprised to hear that, "So he is...?"

"Kaito-san is Temperance. Which means that I'm the Child of Temperance. Surprise?", Hajime playfully said, "and you? Ever since I met you, your aura is still like a normal person, until this morning, so you've just became a Child recently, right?", Hikari nodded, "so who is your Entity? And how did you became his or her Child?"

"Well", Hikari blushed a bit when he remembered back to two nights ago, "I was returning from my work at the diner, you see. And I was cornered by a group of thugs and almost being killed. Then a man turned up and rescue me, I asked him how could I repay him and he revealed himself to be the Virtue of Humility and offered me to become his Child. That's what happened."

"I see", Hajime was quite astonished by Hikari's story, "it seems that both of us are in-debts with our own Entities in some ways."

"I know, right?", Hikari grinned. They continued to talked while enjoying their drinks. A while later, the coffee shop's entrance opened and a man walked in. Hajime could immediately realized the familiar aura, and it was no one other than his Entity, but it seems that he is going with a woman dresses in white.

"Hey, Kaito-san", Hajime gleefully waved to Kaito in order to gain his attention.

"Splash!" Miruka grinned as he splashed the water into Kyo's face. "Take this," Kyo laughed playfully and splashed back at his friend. After some while chasing each other on the street, they made it to the swimming pool and now they're having some quality time together after they've swum some laps around the pool and the winner is, well, Miruka.

The afternoon's sun shining gently. Kyo leaned himself against the edge of the pool as the water gently tapped into his naked-torso, he closed his eyes and tried to relax. Miruka let himself floated on the water and looked up into the blue sky. They seemed relaxing. Yeah, the war is coming, they know that, but before that, it's better to stay calm and try to clear their mind, isn't it? Until their side united and they felt that they're ready to step into the front lines, they knew that they won't be able to make any major steps against the Circus

"Ah, feel good," Kyo said, "it's been a long while."

"I know, right?" Miruka answered, he then stood up and went to Kyo. As he moved, he saw that there are some girls were looking at him and smiling shyly, though it seems that they don't really dare to come and flirt with him. Miruka winked at them and leaned at the edge, next to Kyo. "Well, what do we got here? A tall, muscular guys who always seems to caught girls' hearts at first sight," Kyo said playfully, "looks like you're still the center of attention wherever you go, Miru-kun."

"Nah, don't talk about it," Miruka laughed, "it's a pain rather than something that I'd be proud about."

"So, have you remember who that guy is?", Kyo asked.

"Yeah," Miruka nodded, "if I remember correctly, then his name is Kaito Tsukuyomi, the Second Temperance."

"The Second Temperance, huh?" Kyo said and moved his hand to his chin, "so why didn't he realize you?"

"I don't know. Maybe he's forgot about me, it's been quite long since the last war, remember?" Miruka replied, "I don't really remember but I think I fought with him after my father was killed but I haven't became an Entity yet. That's what I can remember. I don't know how was he after I'm dead and became an Entity though."

"If he is truly Temperance, then it means that all the Virtues on our side had arrived," Kyo looked up, "maybe it's time. We have to stand up."

Miruka nodded, "Though the Circus haven't been making any major steps against us yet, we still need to be prepare for whatever they're going to throw at us, and we definitely have to look into the serial-killer case."

"I agree," Kyo said as he stepped up from the pool, his hair is still wet so it is kinda messy and water streamed all over his body, then he turned to Miruka, "Hikari should be back by now. We should return. I hope that he was not being followed."

"Don't worry, he can take care of himself," Miruka jumped onto the ground, "Let's go and dry ourselves." He said and they made their ways to the changing room.

After they've dried themselves and got dressed, they went out from the pool's entrance and soon they were in the middle of the crowd. As they were walking, Kyo moved his middle finger onto his temple to find his Child's location.

"Hikari? Can you hear me?" Kyo asked in his mind through their connection.

"Oniisan? It's that you?" the Child asked.

Kyo sighed in relief, it seems that he wasn't too far from where they're going, "Yeah, it's me, where are you?"

"I'm at a coffee shop with my friend. I gave you the spare keys, right? Can you go back to my apartment by yourself?"

"Would you mind if I came there?"

"No, it's fine," Hikari giggled, "there's someone I want to introduce you by the way."

"Okay, Miruka and I will be there in 10 minutes." Kyo smiled and said.

"Where is Hikari-san?" Miruka asked. "He is in a coffee shop with his friend, it seems that there's someone that he wants me to meet."

"I wonder who," Miruka grinned. Then they went to the coffee shop where Hikari was. "Wow, he usually hang out at a posh coffee shop like this?" Miruka said while looking at the entrance. "Okay, what are we waiting for?" Miruka smiled and both of them get in. And they wouldn't expect in a million year that the people that they came across earlier are also inside too.

After Hajime called for Kaito, he and the woman went to their table. "Glad to see you here, Hajime. Say, you don't mind sharing tables with another customer, right?" Kaito asked.

"Sure, why not?" Hajime grinned. He is always happy to see his Entity.

With that, Kaito then went to the employees' area. "Well, please help yourself Miss," Hajime smiled and said to the woman. He gave a quick glance at her. She is somewhat elegant and looks really nice. "She and Kaito-san might be a perfect match..." he thought and giggled playfully to himself.

"Miss," Hajime spoke up to gain her attention, "are you one of Kaito-san's friend? I don't remember meeting you before, but nice to meet you though. I'm Hajime."

Then he realized that his friend was thinking something, "Hey, what's up Hikari-san?" he asked.

"Oh, it's nothing," Hikari giggled then turned to the woman, "I'm Hikari, nice to meet you."

A moment later, Kaito went back to them after he has changed to his uniform. But at the same time, the entrance of the coffee shop opened and two young men stepped in. And the first thing that caught their sight is the four at the table in the corner of the shop.

"Hey Kyo-oniisan, over here," Hikari waved to them. Both of them stood there and looking at each other a bit then eventually went to the table. Kaito seemed to still be cautious of them though.

"It's okay, there's no need to be so tense like that, Tsukuyomi-san. If I'm from the Circus, I wouldn't address her as oneesan, anyway." Miruka smiled gently then turned to Astraea, "I think we did have a connection for keep bumping into each other like that. I'm sorry for not be able to speak with you properly earlier. It's me, Miruka the Second Kindness. Long time no see, Astraea-oneesan."

Kyo then moved and stood next to Miruka, he then put off his scarf, allowed his aura to radiate again, "And I'm sorry that you didn't realize us just because you can't feel our aura. I also have ability like you too, though it wasn't as perfect as you. My name is Kyori Akiharu, the Third Humility. Pleasure to meet you." Kyo said and bowed gracefully then he put on his scarf back.
