Spirit Albarn's Story

The sun Rose over the DWMA it was the first day of Classes for the new year. New Students where beginning to arrive, and some Where returning to Further their Education as weapon's and Meister and bright and first thing in the morning Lord Death. Summoned Death Scythe Spirit Albarn to the Death Room. As much as he wanted to see his Daughter Maka off to a new year. He had his Duties as one of Lord death's most trusted weapon's. Spirit walked into the death room. where lord death stood looking into his giant mirror showing him Images of outside the building

'' You wanted to see me. Sir.'' said Spirit. Lord Death turned around using a spring like motion. '' Ah yes, Good morning Death Scythe. As you know today his the first day of opening class. I'm I right.'' Spirit sighed. '' Yes sir. I know. I had hoped to see off Maka today.'' Lord Death arched his head. '' Yah Yah sorry about that. speaking of your daughter. How is scythe meister Maka.'' Spirit looked to the side. '' Great, Thanks. She Just collected her and soul 50th Kishin soul last week Just before brake ended. lord death Bounced. '' Excellent, Now then as you may or may not know Death Scythe we're a little understaffed this year. I've even asked some of the other Death Scythe's to return here. But unti they arrive. I would like you to teach temporarily. if you don't mind.'' Spirit shook his head. Not that he didn't see this coming. But he just shrugged. '' I didn't really plan any lesson today. But sure I'll see what I can do.'' Lord Death bounced up and down. '' Thanks Spirit I'm sure you'll do fine. Okay thats all I wanted to say. You may go now.'' Spirit walked off Trying to think what he would do with the class. '' I guess a simple orientation will have top do.'' He thought to himself

Spirit walked through the halls which started to fill with young teen. Some of them waved, and called '' Hay its Death Scythe.'' he would give a slight wave to them as he would pass them. he started to make his way downstairs to the ground level. Just to make sure that none of the students where Picking fights, and if they where. He would have to step in and supervise. '' That was the rules after all.'' he said to himself as let out as sigh heavily. As he came to the down the main stair well. He heard what he could have sworn he heard what sounded like a violin Playing faintly spirit looked around see if he couldn't pin point it.

he catches noise. It's coming from the lower area's. ''It must be that one kid. He's still down there. figured He would've found an apartment by now. Maybe I should....wait isn't Maka a really good friend of his.'' spirit nodded. '' I'll be sure to let her know..'' He continued to walk out to the Courtyard. children began flooding in. he noted one girl was sitting up in a tree. As he leaned up agents the entrance way greeting new students.'' Hay how's it going....welcome to the DWMA.''

Hina walked along the path, recognizing a couple of faces, a few Miesters and Demon Weapons that had gained enough recognition to be identifiable on sight. Some of them she regarded as actually dangerous, skilled warriors that could give many creatures a run for their money, and she noticed that some of them had acquired their fame through dumb luck or raw stupidity. Either way it seemed like a noisy and energetic crowd. She was close to the entrance before she really noticed him, Spirit, a Deathscythe. He was just standing there, calmly waving and welcoming students to the DWMA, Hina nearly dropped her bag in a hurry to pull out her camera. She waited for a moment when no one was standing in the way of her shot to take a photo. Turning her camera off and putting it away in her bag quickly, she decided that she would be bold enough to approach him.

"Hey, My name's Hina! You're Spirit, the greatest Demon Weapon! You're really amazing, Oh! Yeah, so... I'm a new Meister, could you give me some tips on how to find the right partner? Is it like a fuzzy feeling or like a subtle knowing that you've found the right one?" Spirit was a drinker, a womanizer and had a reputation for being lazy and laid back. In Hina's mind he was the perfect role model.

Hina glanced away only for a moment, to take a look at the rest of the students heading in, realizing she might be a bit late, but it didn't matter. It was the first day after all, who cares about being late on the first day. She turned her head back to Spirit with a smile, nodding to herself about his coolness.

Maka put her bowl in the sink, "Well lets get going" she said as headed out the door.

Soul downed the bowl quickly and then he jumped up, put his shoes on and dodged a glomp from Blaire as he locked the door and closed it behind him. "Jeez, Maka..." he said, "Wait up..." He caught up with her and walked with her all the way to school. Soul heard someone shouting at the kids fighting outside then maka spoke up.

"Oh no it's Papa", Maka thought, if there was one thing she didn't want to do was run into her creepy father right now, especially with the thoughts of her mother still whirling around in her head. She sighed and tried to avoid eye contact with Spirit, "Maybe if I don't look at him he wont notice me" she thought. She turned to Soul "Hey, Soul try to block my Papa's view of me and maybe he wont notice I'm there with everyone coming by", she whispered.

Soul nodded and stepped in front of her, he was a few inches taller than her and his spiked hair helped cover her. "Dont worry i got you covered..." he said, trying to look cool. Of course he really didnt want that bafoon to see him either. Soul didnt like him, he was creepy to soul.

Lord Death Looked at Sid. '' Oh yeah That reminds me. The reason I asked You back. Is that we're a Little short on teacher's right now and I was hopping. That you would agree to come back and teach to the new students we have coming. After all you are one of the greatest Meister's to come out of the DWMA. Right now I have Death Sycthe teaching. But To be honest. I Don't think he's up to the whole teaching Bizz.'' Said death scratching the top of his head.

Spirit

Spirit Looked at Maka and soul as they took there seats. He didn't worry about talking to maka now. He was to busy and had to start class. Once they sat down Spirit. stood Up and wrote on the Black board. Death Sycthe: Mr.Albarn. He turned To the class. '' Alright, Weclome to the New year. I'm Mr. Albarn. I'll be teaching this class until Further notice. Uh...Now Um lets start things out with something Simple. i'm not the Kind to give out a Massive essay on what you did over summer vacation. So you all can relax.'' he Turns to the black board again an Underlined his name then wrote in smaller text. NO ESSAY. '' Okay as you can see I wrote my name plain and simple on the board. Now what I would like you to do is to come up to the board, wright your name, and tell us a bit about your self. Easy right ?. Show of hands who'd like to go first ?''

The Japanese native felt the movement of the male, and he himself nodded, standing up and walking through the rows. He came up to the board and gently took hold of chalk, writing his name neatly.

Ichigo Ko-Ko Wakahisa


Turning to face the class once he wrote his name, he slowly bowed, his bangs dangling over his eyes. Once he got up, they were visible again. "Hello," he greeted softly. "I am Ichigo Ko-Ko Wakahisa, and my nationality is Japanese. I like flutes and silence, as I hate loud noises. Thunderstorms are an exception," he trailed off, his eyes shifting quickly towards the teacher than back to the class. "I am also going blind..gradually."

He, for a moment, went silent before picking back up with his words again. "I am a meister. I have no weapon at the moment, and I am 17 years of age. This is my first time enrolling, ever, to here. I live alone, since I really don't have relatives except my parents, but I'd rather not speak about that."

Allowing his bangs to cover his eyes, he turned his head to stare at Spirit through them. "It is nice to meet you. I hope I get to know everybody and have fun with you all. I...also, really like toddlers and young children. I think they're cute." He chuckled and bowed his head. "Thank you for listening."

The male slowly trailed back through the rows and took his place next to the girl again, his bangs still covering his eyes as he quietly prodded at the female's arm. "I hope I don't seem that weird now."

Kami smiled "Of course Lord Death and I'm surprised you let Spirit do that, he's well we all know that he was never really good when he was in school. Well unless he was on a mission, I kind of had a feeling that was what you were up to Lord Death. I've missed Maka so much I couldn't live with myself If I said no" she said as she was escorted out by Sid.

"Well he's in here right now I'll just let you in and you can observe from the back. Not that you've never been in these classrooms before", said Sid.

She knew Sid was trying to be nice, and he knew that Kami would probably be uncomfortable. "It's alright Sid I think I'll manage thank you". She quietly slipped in the door as a couple of straggling students walked she stepped aside to listen to Spirit address the class. Surprisingly he was doing quite well, "He still looks like he did when I met him", she smiled trying to remember happier times as to keep herself from getting angry with what he had done to her.

Maka sat next Soul as class started, she was surprised at her father, he actually sounded like a teacher.

Now what I would like you to do is to come up to the board, write your name, and tell us a bit about yourself. Easy right ?. Show of hands who'd like to go first?''

"May I go first, Mr. Albarn, sir?"

Maka watched a guy in the class stand and offer to go up.

She turned to Soul "He's new" she whispered as she followed the guy she noticed a woman standing in the back of the class. Her mouth fell open "Mama" she said quietly.

Crona

ragnarok Looked at Kami. " FUN....FUN....WHO YA TRYING TO FOOL YA OLD COW....WHY WOULD I WANNA SIT IN A ROOM WITH STINKEN HUMAN'S I AN'T MOVEING FORM THIS SPOT. '' ranarok continued to hold down tight. Crona begain to tear up because the kidds all laughed at him. '' Noo come on ragnarok please....there laughing at me and i can't handle that.'' crona strained.

Spirit Looked up to notice the kid struggling. '' hay pipe down up there we're trying to have a cla....'' the he realized the women trying to help the kid with his issue spirit's mouth droped. '' K...kami .'' Spirits heart sank. now he was in real trouble. He looked around frantically at the class kami then at Maka. '' Uh...listen class. I uh Just keep going on with your introduction's. I gotta....uh I...gotta take care of something.'' Spirit said as he rushes outta the class through a different door.

The male blinked as he watched the movements of her head dropping, and he frowned. "Stop doing that, trying to cover yourself and all. I don't like it. I can barely see you, but still, I can still see you. It's, complicated, somehow." Ichigo got off his chair and crouched down to get in eye level with her, not caring if people looked or what.

The Japanese boy poked out two digits, his index and his middle, and put them under her chin to lift her head up gently, using his other hand to brush the pigtails away from her eyes. He listened to the commotion and sighed, muttering under his breath. "What a very responsible teacher."

Though, the screaming of the creature was beginning to tick him off; it was quite evident by the scowl now plastered onto his face. "I swear, if that creature does not shut up and leave that poor boy alone.." he assumed the child's gender to be a male, which was in all honesty, a guess.

A migraine began blossoming; since he was sensitive to loud noises. He cleared his throat. "Excuse me, dear. Rarely do I ever get angry like this." The male said softly to Leslie, and he stood up, slamming his hands loudly onto the desk and screaming.


"Will you shut up you big-mouthed, abusive, low-life, scummy, impolite, hard-headed, jerk off?! You do NOT talk to women that way, and obviously, the boy wants you to knock it off! So leave him the goddamn hell alone, and let go!"

The male fumed, puffing furiously. Obviously, he hated seeing women, the younger, or basically anyone getting messed with. It just made him go furious. "Don't underestimate me.." he growled under his breath. "Besides, you're always going to be near humans, you utter unintelligent creature. Leslie," he said, turning to her fiercely. "Remember, if anyone, ANYONE, wants to mess with you, find me."

The male softly smiled. "I promise I'll get 'em!"

Kami sighed "Alright as long as your okay" she said to Crona, she looked around the room "Class I'll be right back with your teacher it's seems he's stepped out for some reason". Kami looked around the room and picked the door closest to the chalk board, she came out the door and it was long till she found Spirit having a nervous breakdown in the hallway. Kami sighed and shook her head "Spirit you need to get back in there, before something else happens" she walked over and bent down where he had slid down against the wall.

"Just becuase I'm here doesn't mean you can freak out alright" she said with a slight smile. Even though she and Spirit were divorced she had always thought of him fondly. "I don't hate you Spirit I just hate what you did, so you don't need to be worried. I know you, you probably think it's some kind of conspiracy. But the truth is Lord Death asked me to come back and teach, and well I missed Maka. So I'm here now" she reached out her hand to him. "Come on Lord Death's personal scythe shouldn't be having a nervous break down on the floor.

"Soul it's my Mama that must be the surprise she had for me... and it worked" Maka said still with a look of awe on her face. But it was soon detoured by Crona being pummeled by Ragnarok as he went to sit down. Maka got up and walked "Ragnarok why are you acting like that" she said.

Ragnarok gets up in Maka's face. '' WHY.....BECAUSE I'M THE DEMON SWORD. THATS WHY. BESIDES SOME ONE'S GOTTA POUND SOME SCENE IT THIS LOSER. SEE AS YOU ALL BABY HIM ALL THE TIME.'' says ragnarok as he continues to nuggy crona.



Spirit looks at Kami. " You don't understand kam Maka has hated me every day sence the divorce. Now you come back. Now She'll Cling to you, and Its hard enough that she avoided me today on the first day of school. Now she'll avoide me all together.'' Spirit stood up on his own. He was use to pushing Kami away. It was for her own good. He knew what was at stake. He turned to the class room door. '' You can stay on in class and watch. But, I got work I gotta do.'' He walked in the class. '' Alright sorry about that. Now who else wants to come to the board.'' Crona Shrunk down in his seat nervous

'' We....w we... have to stand up at the chalk bord....uh oh boy im no good at talking to large crowds.'' Crona wimper's

Hina shook her head at Haruka's request for a reward, "No, you normally behave yourself from what I can guess about you." She started laughing at Suzu's antics, amused at how strange this sister brother team were. They didn't seem too serious, what was good. "I wouldn't mind coming over," Hina said, looking at Haruka, "I live alone so I certainly wouldn't mind getting to hang out instead of being alone at my house."

Spirit stopped Suzu, and Hina just looked at him for a moment before speaking up, "If you're worried about getting in trouble, then you might want to do something about Ichigo and Leslie, they walked right out of class." Hina pointed at Kami, "They walked right past this woman too, and she didn't do anything. So why stop us? Writing names on a board is really lame, so we're gonna ditch and you can make us run a hundred laps around the school tomorrow or something so it won't hurt your manly pride as a teacher." Hina was very dismissive, she had been a big fan of Spirit, but he was acting pretty lame right now.

Haruka sauntered up to the front of the room, dragging Suzu over by her arm. She protested but he continued, "Fine, I am Haruka. I am a weapon, you don't need to know anything about, but feel free to fear me." He rested him hand on Suzu's shoulder, "Because this is my little sister Suzu" he stared down all the boys in the classroom, "And if you touch her I will KILL YOU."

Suzu protested as Haruka dragged her up, but stood next to him anyways. A evil grin formed on her lips as she spoke, and she started taking provocative poses, making various provocative faces. Her gaze stopped on the pink haired boy and she giggled and gave him a little wave, blowing him a kiss. She looked over at Haruka and sneered.

He turned to soo her mocking him and bonked her softly on the head, "There Mr.Big Bad Death Scythe, we introduced ourselves."
He sauntered over to the door and looked at Hina, "I'm ready to go," glaring down at Suzu who was still teasing the boys in the classroom.
"Stop that," he scolded.

Suzu turned to the teacher and said, "Bye Bye Mr.Teacher! If you decide to run away from that woman again and see us make sure to say hi!" as she skipped out the door after Hina and Haruka.

Kami smiled as the children left the room "It's alright Spirit it's the children's first day here they need sometime together to get to know each other" said Kami. "Just be thankful their getting along instead of trying to start fights with each other" she smiled at him.

Maka rolled her eyes at Ragnarok, "Really Ragnarok you shouldn't be so hard on Crona, you need him you cant wield yourself you know" she said she watched as her parents came back in the room. She got a big smile and ran down the isle to her mother "Mama!" she cheered as she threw her arms around Kami's neck. She could tell her Papa was nervous about her mother being here, but she was so excited to see her she didn't really take much care in what her father was thinking.

Kami smiled at her daughter "I told you I had a surprise for you" she laughed.

Maka smiled "Oh I was surprised" she pointed out Soul "Thats Soul my weapon" Maka said with pride.

Kami smiled at Soul "It's a pleasure to meet you Soul. I've heard allot of good things about you" said Kami with her arm around Maka. She looked back at Spirit, "Look at your Papa being a proper teacher, it's an improvement if you tell me" she winked.

Maka nodded but her smile faded "Well I guess so " said Maka didn't want to think about her father right now. So she turned to look at Crona "Crona, Ragnarok come here and meet my mother" she said.

spirit threw up his arms. '' Okay fine, Anyone else wanna ditch outta here. Fine by me go on, shoe.'' then he watched as Maka ran straight at kami. '' Your mothe.....I mean kami, Here is gonna take up teaching here. I know how much you to get along....So uh yeah..I better go report to Lord Death. So um...yeah Everyone may leave if you want. yeah I better go.'' he said as he scooched past Kami and Maka and proceeded to head in the direction of the death room.



Crona Noticed the girl winking at him and kissing her hand. As the they made their. Introduction then after abruptly leaving. The motions confused him. Then Before he knew it everyone appear to be leaving. crona just stood there untill maka called out to him. he slowly made his way through the Isle and walked up to maka Holding his left arm and looking at the floor. '' h....Hi.'' he said sheepishly

Crona stood there quietly as soul and maka talked to kami. Kami seemed nice a lot like maka. But Crona Looked around the class room. Everyone else had left. Ragnarok folded his arms and grumbled something about cattle and there simularites between and human women. ''uhh everyone left...uh shouldn't we go do something ...too,''



Spirit rushed into the death room. '' LORD DEATH I CAN'T WORK LIKE THIS, WITH KAMI AROUND. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS MAKES ME FEEL LIKE. NOW MAKA WON'T EVEN LOOK AT....'' he was met with a Reaper chop to the head. Spirit fell to the ground. '' now the where you about to say something ?'' Said lord death spirit stood up. '' Ugh....okay I deserved that. But seriously sir. I can't work around kami. She despises seance the divorce.'' Lord Death shook his head. " spirit your gonna have to give up the past. Its been a long time scene you and Kami ended it, and lets face it things are different now.'' lord death spoke firmly. ''Spirit you need your family back. That is why effective now. I'm releasing you from Death Scythe status. Until such a time when your family issues's are resolved.'' Spirit looked shocked. As lord Death continued. '' I will be informing kami of this status change also.''

Kami laughed "Well I was thinking about taking you all to Hobgoblins for burgers how does that sound. I really want to get to know Maka's friends" she said with a smile at the children. She hugged Maka again "I'm gonna go get your father, so he can come too" she headed for the door.

Maka's eyes went wide "What why... Mama stop!" she grabbed Kami's hand. Kami turned and looked back at her daughter, "Maka what is it?" she asked.

"Does... Papa really need to go with us?" Maka asked.

Kami gave her a puzzled look and then sighed "Maka I know your upset with him I am too, but it does no good to sit around and hold a grudge for the rest of your days. Just because someone did something to you, Maka your father isn't a bad man he just made some stupid choices" said Kami.

Maka blinked so her mother had forgiven her father it didn't make sense.

Kami smiled "I'll go get him and then we'll meet you kids at Hobgoblins I need to talk to Spirit alone for a while. If you don't mind too much Maka".

Maka looked down at the floor "Alright Mama" she said.

Kami made her way back to Lord Death's office and once again the door opened it's self. She saw Lord Death and Spirit standing here with an odd look on his face. "Well I observed the class Lord Death and for the most part Spirit did pretty well" she said with a smile.

Lord death looked up at Kami. " Ah kami right on time. Spirit here was just talking about you. You see its my understanding. That you returning is impairing his job performance. So I've taken the liberty of removing his death scythe status until said issues are worked out. Isn't that just a kick in the head.'' lord death shrugged. '' so I guess that you'll be outta a job for a wile. Don't take it to personally its not that your a bad Personal weapon. Its just I can't be having a death scythe with in my ranks haveing these sorts of issues while on the job.'' said lord death. Spirit looked down at the ground he couldn't at the floor in shame



Crona looked at kami with a qwivering smile as she left. Then he turned to makka and asked. '' M-maka whats hobgobblin's I....I never heard of it.'' Ragnarok threw is hands up. '' I'LL TELL YA WHAT I HEARD. I HEARD SOMETHING ABOUT FOOD, AND ESPECIALLY IF SOME ONE ELSE IS PAYING. NO SKIN OFF MY NOISE KEE KEE.'' crona looked up at ragnarok. and sighed. '' ragnarok....''

Kami was confused "Lord Death, you know that Spirit is an excellent Death Scythe, I don't understand why you would have me come back if you knew it would affect him" she looked over at Spirit her heart hurt for him she didn't like to see him like this. "I'll do my best not to get in his way or interfere with anything that has to do with him" she feels tears start to sting her eyes "But I beg you... don't take his status. Being back and seeing Maka with Soul has brought back allot of fond memories, we may have had our problems but Im proud that I made him a Death Scythe. Please Lord Death... don't do that, I don't know what I did to make him turn away from me but, even though he hurt me doesn't mean I want him to be unhappy". Kami didn't know what else to say "If you take that from him he wont have anything. It's bad enough that Maka thinks horribly of him. I didn't mean for that to happen" Kami looks down at the floor shakes her head and wipes her eyes.

Maka turns to Crona "Hobgoblins is a burger restaurant that my parents and I used to go to all the time when I was little. I haven't been there since.... the divorce" Maka looked sadly towards Lord Deaths office. "I don't understand why my mom wants to invite my dad... after the way he disrespected her", she started to head towards the exit. "Come on guys we'll meet up with them later".

Kami nodded, "I see as you wish Lord Death" she walked over to Spirit knelt down and put her hand on his shoulder, "Come on I'll take you to dinner, it's why came to find you actually I wanted to take Maka, Soul and the pink haired boy to Hobgoblins. Maybe a burger will take your mind off things". Kami turned back to Lord Death,
I wanted to know if you knew where I would be staying for the night see as I don't have a place of my own yet" she asked.

"No please Soul I'd feel better if you and Crona went with me, I don't want to be by myself. I'm just a little confused thats all" said Maka.
