Strength? Check. Toughness? Check. Brain...not so much.

Description

Image

Name: Brick

Age: 26

Hunter/Alter: Alter

Batch Number: 1

Length at Institute: 24

Standing: That depends on how you look at it. He isn't exactly evil, but nor is he exactly good. He is more like the ironic and nonchalant guy who do as he likes, not really caring what it is.

Appearance: At first sight Brick would probably make you think of a standard "all muscles, no brain" boxer, but if you get to know him you would find out that your first-impression was mostly right. He stands 7 feet from the ground, and with his broad shoulders, muscular body and thick, snow-white hair cowering most of his arms, legs and chest. His skin is brown because of his African genes, but it is mostly cowered by the body-hair all over his body. He doesn't smile very often, but when he do people usually gets a little scared. Due to his mutation his teeth have turned pointy and sharp, like in the mouth of a predator. His eyes changed to, from the nice, brownish color he had when he was a kid, til the black-in-black eyes he have now.
Brick also talks with a deep and musical voice that doesn't suit his personality or appearance at all. (Think Morgan Freeman) He is the kind of guy who can tell you: "I'm gonna slowly kill your entire family with a butter-knife made out of plastic" and it would still calm you down!. Well, unless you saw him holding the butter-knife while he talked with a dead-serious expression.

Personality: Brick used to be one of those "never-stop-to-smile" babies before he got kidnapped. He still get some mood-swings from time to time where he returns to the happy kid he once used to be, but they are rare. Most of his time he is just a grumpy guy who seems unable to enjoy anything except from eating, sleeping, and fighting. Brick hates to follow orders, and he is stubborn as a donkey, most of the time it would be easier to talk a rock into jumping than it would be to talk Brick into doing something he don't want to. Intelligence! one of the many things Brick don't got allot of. Don't get me wrong! he isn't stupid or anything, its just that he doesn't think much, neither does he use his mind. He is more likely to beat the crap out of you than to sit down and have an intelligent conversation. And he doesn't talk much.

Abilities/Gifts: The scientist had a wish of creating a tank made out of meat and rage (totally not stolen from Borderlands) when he combined Bricks DNA with DNA from a polar bear. As a result of this Brick got enchanted strength, he even got stronger than the other "rabbits" (if you catch my drift) , incredible sense of smell, and because of the hair he grew all over his body, he could handle cold much better than most people.

Weakness(es): The body-hair is also one of his biggest weaknesses, he can't handle hot weather at all. Temperatures above 15 degrees makes him sweat like a bucket of water, he will have to drink atleast 8 liters of water a day. And a little mistake from the scientist who used just a little too much Polar-Bear-DNA caused Brick's brain to develop into a more animal-like state. And another problem from the Animal DNA was that he also gained a bears hibernation-effect. So unlike the other "rabbits" he could sleep for days. And the biggest failure (from the scientist's point of view) was Brick's constant need for food. He could go days without it, but when he ate, he ate like he never was going to see food again. He also got one pretty fatal mistake... Nobody really understood why he got it, but when he is irritated enough he goes into some kind of "rage-mode" where he is unaware of anything but his fists, and his target. In this state he can't control himself at all, and he attacks whoever is stupid enough to come close.

History: I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do this, but I'm going to go ahead and say "to be RPed"

Future Hobbies: He enjoys nature, as long as its cold, snowy, and above the treeline. He also likes to fight, brake bones, eat raw meat, shotguns or anything with a large clip, and rock music. He also likes to sleep....ALLOT...

Other: Since Brick was among the earlier "rabbits" his mutation was full of lacks and failures, as well as some rather dangerous ones, like when he rage... you would probably prefer to fight The Hulk.

So begins...

Getting out had been easier than he expected. Who had gotten the bright idea to set an apprentice guard to watch over his cell was something Brick couldn't understand, but he didn't really care. Everything had gone so smoothly, from beating up the guard, steel his dark green uniform vest, and brake a window in the hallway... it had all been so simple. Brick looked over his shoulder and looked down at the young lad, hardly more than 20, laying on the floor, his face all bloody. "did they slack down on your training?" he asked the lifeless body before he used the guards helmet to brake the window. Alarms had started even before he broke it, so Brick wasn't sure if he where the one to trigger them, but again, he didn't care. "so this is fresh air?" he mumbled to himself before he jumped out of the window and fell down the two stories before he landed heavily on the ground. Brick couldn't feel any sign of broken bones, so he just started running towards the forest, he stopped at the edge of it and turned around to face the facility.
"Hasta la vista" he shouted to it, he had seen it in a movie on the only luxury item in his room, an old TV. Then he turned around and started to run through the forest, trying to get as far away as possible.

"Why are there so many trees here!" Brick shouted and used some moment to completely destroy a branch that had smacked him over the eye. Then he realized that he should probably stay silent. "damn" he mumbled before he continued on his path, making a hell lot of noise as he stepped on dry sticks, or swears as a branch whipped his face. The white clothes he had been using as long as he could remember, was thin and weak. And it didn't take more than 15 minutes of running through the forest before the arms was more or less completely shattered. But the vest had protected his chest to some point, and his pants where still intact.

Coming to a screeching halt, Henry looked back at the girl. "You saw what?! Why didn't you say anything?? We can't just leave a little girl here!" He stood there, conflicted however, knowing that should he go back, there was a strong chance that he and the girl he was with would be captured, helping nobody in the process. "Dammit, let's just keep moving forward...!" Henry muttered to himself as he and the girl worked their way through the forest. He could hear some loud noises, not sure if they were friendly or not.

Looking over, he saw a big soldier, looking like he was literally deforesting the surroundings to look for them. The guy was big. Probably thought he was a bad ass, knocking down trees with his bare fists. But as much as Henry would have loved to knock the soldier down flat, he probably had friends close by. He pulled the girl by her wrists, telling her to hide. He pulled them both behind a tree, though Henry found that he had to put in a lot of effort, much more than he expected to pull her. Just how strong was this girl? Henry had to admit, the others probably developed greater strength than he, but now was not the time for that. He peered out to make sure the behemoth in the guard suit didn't notice them.

Jade

As they were walking through the trees, they were moving too slow to make Jade comfortable. This only increased when the boy stopped to fuss over the little girl. She felt bad for not doing more for the girl, but being in a large group would make them more noticeable. A little girl would be easy to capture or use as a hostage if they were confronted. It seemed to her, that even though the complexities of keeping the girl away from this boy were not things that ran through her mind, once they did, she did not regret her decision. It seemed truly better for everyone if they were going to find more of the people like them.

Jade realized that she was paying more attention to the boy's muttering and her own conscious when the boy abruptly pulled her behind a tree. If she had been any lighter, it probably would have yanked her off her feet. She freaked a little bit at the sudden and rather rough human contact, but forced herself to calm down when she realized that he wouldn't have done it without purpose.

She realized there was what equated to a giant crashing though the forest a ways away from the tree they were hiding behind. If I'm going to hide, I'm going to hide well. She thought as she tree they were hiding behind almost with out the boy noticing. She reached her hand below her once she was up in the tree."Quick. Grab on."

Silver

They had been gone for ages it seemed. Ever since the computers had registered a break in security at The Institute, Pomona and Emery had been out looking for others like them. Those that the scientists had altered. She was stressed waiting, but she was prone to curling up into a little ball and weeping from stress as well as panic attacks. The last thing that the terrified and probably violent alters needed was to have one of their rescuers become as helpless as a baby in a matter of seconds. So she was on base duty, and the only thing she could do for now was worry.

"Stay the fuck away from me!" Brick shouted angrily as yet another branch whipped his face, for once he cursed his size. He grabbed the thin branch and snapped it of before he used it to crush another one. hmm he thought and looked down on the branch, which had turned out to be thicker than he had thought when he snapped it. This will work a little, evil grin crossed his face as he started to use it as a machete, but then Brick froze... he wasn't sure, but it had been some sound behind him. "who's there?" he said with a low and dangerous tone, if anyone was planning on ambushing him; they would have to think twice. With deep breaths through his nose he started to sniff after whoever was around. Turning around in circles as he did so, the branch lifted like a baseball-bat, ready to strike at a moments notice.

He could pick up a weak sent of something that definitely didn't belong in the forest... Humans. Half a minute later he where able to locate the sent, coming from a tree. Brick stopped his turning and faced it. "You got exactly two seconds before I come over there and beat the living hell out of you" he said in an angry voice, making it clear he wasn't joking. "one" he said slowly, starting his countdown.

Dammit...

Henry heard the monster soldier. He definitely knew they were there. How he found them was a whole other issue. He looked up at the girl, trying to get him to climb the tree. But that was clearly a bad idea now. Not only would they be trapped, but with the way he was tearing through the forest, he'd have them caught in no time.

The boy had a plan. Oh it was a simple plan. Though it would probably work. At least as a distraction. He looked up at the girl and shook his head. "No, instead I want you to get down. I'll distract him, and we'll both make a run for it." Once he heard the guy counting however, he knew there was no time to think. Henry had to act now. "Get down!" Henry shouted at her as he took a step back and charged at the tree with everything he had. The tree slowly creaked and cracked but soon came tumbling down towards the soldier. His heart was racing. Henry panted. That...took way too much... But it would have to do for now.

Pomona

The small hand slid into Pomona's and the woman's heart melted just at little at the realization that this poor little girl had been stuck in the institution all her life. The rough finger's closed around the child's just enough to provide comfort. She gave the child her full attention as she listened, taking in every word the little girl said.

"Let's go help the other's shall we?" asked Pomona once the child had finished speaking. Without the little girl's permission the woman leaned forward and scooped the child into her arms and began walking forward. The child looked tired, and Pomona didn't have time for her to wait for her.

"We're going to look after you now, little tiger," Pomona assured her, giving the child's nose a light and playful tap. With the little girl in her arms Pomona jogged back through the forest in the direction the little girl had come; her eyes were alert for any signs of other alters. Her pace slowed when she heard trees being ripped from the ground. On instinct she set the little girl down behind a bush.

"Stay here," she instructed then turned to investigate what was going on. When she stepped around the trunk of a large tree the scene before her caused her to leap into action without thinking. She recognized the faces of three terrified alters. Two of them were standing together off to the side while a tree fell on top of another who was dressed in a guard's uniform, but she knew he wasn't a guard because of his unnatural stature. She bounded forward, barreling into the alter who was about to be hit by a tree and managed to knock him to the ground just out of reach of the tree.

Together they fell to the ground where she lay with the wind knocked out of her and the forest spinning above her.

"What....wh....what were y...you...think....th...thinking?" she gasped from where she lay, directing her speech at the two alters still standing.

Emery

Emery's heart flew when a blur of white climbed from the bush in front of Rosie. A smile coaxed it's way onto the man's lips and he did his best to look friendly and non-threatening. Emery needed this alter to trust him if he was going to save him. Rosie sat nuzzling the arm of the alter, happy she had succeeded in her job.

"I was. I escaped with two other alters, and we've been watching the institute ever since in hopes more of you would escape. We want to help you and get you away from here. Do you know if any other alters managed to escape?...I'm Emery by the way, and this is Rosie." Emery patted the head of Rosie before holding out his hand to the blur of white in greeting.

"Oh, and it might be important for you to know that I'm mostly blind. I can't really see you."

Violet

Violet listened to the two men near her speaking. The one in the bush was an alter like her. She could tell by the white shift he wore which was identical to hers, but she didn't reveal herself even when Emery asked if other alters had escaped. She had no idea if she could trust this man. For all she knew he could be one of the scientists disguised to come and collect them. She didn't want to take that chance.

Her mind changed when she heard the man with the dog say he was blind. Something about that weakness made her muscles relax and gave her the urge to creep out from where she was hiding. He had told the other alter he had been one of them once and wanted to help them. He was looking for all the escaped alters which meant he was looking for her too.

As she crouched in her hiding place Violet contemplated the dangers of trusting this man she had never met. She could either trust him and potentially get taken back to the institute or rely on her instincts in a world she didn't understand. After a few moments of contemplation Violet stepped out from her hiding place. She figured she would be safer going with the blind man than relying on her very minimal amount of knowledge about the world around her. If she did get into trouble Violet felt she was capable enough to escape from a blind man.

"I'm one of the escaped alters too," she announced in a clear voice void of fear. She might be willing to trust him, but she wasn't ready to let him know how frightened she really was.

Brick placed his feet broad and made sure that he had a good grip before he prepared himself for grabbing the tree as it came down. He didn't understand that the log would smash him flat like a pancake. The tree closed in, Brick lifted his hands to grab it, and just before the log hit his hands, he was tackled by another tree... Ohh, wait, i wasn't a tree. Brick hit the ground at the same moment as the tree, creating a loud "bang" that echoed through the forest. "Is it really in your concern ?" Brick asked the tree-girl annoyed, Then he quickly got on his feet again. "Ran out of trees coward?" He asked and turned towards the boy who had tried to crush him. "Or do you still wish to give me a bat?" He asked and gave him a evil grin, showing all of his 32 predator teeth. He didn't give a living horse-crap about The girl on The ground. She could suffocate for all he cared.

Riley β€˜Scythe’ Cross

Riley silently trekked through the forest, continuously coming on broken branches and tracks of those escaped. It was apparent they were trying to get as far away as possible, not cover their tracks. Riley snickered as he walked through the woods, careful not to step onto any branches or many any loud noises. To do that would cause the escapees to flee, and that would mean more work or his head. But to Riley, this was just a game.

β€œWell, let’s hope-” Riley’s words were cut off as he heard a loud crashing ahead of him. A grin slid onto his face as he made his way towards them, scythe in his hands. As he trudged on towards the noise, he noticed a group? Yes, a group of experiments, freaks. He watched from a distance, far enough to where they could not see him instantly.

After watching their uninteresting little confrontation, he cleared his throat and tossed them a smile filled with white, sparkling teeth, β€œWell, this was a little easier than I thought,” He laughed, revealing the large weapon, the sunlight glinting off the metal blade.
β€œActually, I like challenges.” He said, walking a little closer, his eyes on the massive man standing there, β€œNot too fun when you just stand there like idiots.” He said, a cruel smile sliding on his face, his amber eyes filled with a sadistic mischief.

The Institute was in chaos. Quite a few people had escaped recently. Now it was Raizel's turn. He took advantage of the chaos to escape himself. The Institute was like a maze, but he just used the talent he had been give to get out. All those pitch black mazes were finally good for something. He closed his eyes and listened for a sound he had heard since he was seven, but had never gotten close enough to feel. The wind. He ran through the maze following the sound of the wind. Hiding whenever somebody got close. Then he was free. He opened his eyes, looking in awe at his surroundings while he ran. Then it hit him all at once, the sounds. He stopped dead in his tracks and covered his ears, trying in vain to block out even a fraction of the noise. Animals going about their daily business, the wind rustling the trees and the bushes and leaves that lay on the ground, the voices of people nearby, it all hurt. People? Raizel tried to focus on their voices, but the other noises were too much. He couldn't hear what they were saying. Some good his enhanced hearing was. Should I try and get closer? See who they are? But what if they're normal. Unlike me. Raizel's fur-like hair, slit pupils, and nails that are more like claws on his left hand are proof the horrible experiments that were done to him. Raizel decided to take the risk. With one hand still pressed against an ear he moved forward.

All the sounds meant he couldn't quite tell how far away he was to one specific sound. So before he knew it, Raizel could see people. He slipped behind a tree. He had just escaped 18 years of torture, he wasn't going to risk going back.

Virgil

"Hahaha!! Outrunning those four-eyed fools is so much easier than i thought it'd be!" Hmm.. So this is what 'Outside' is. How dull.." Virgilsaid to himself. "Barely 10 minutes away from that droll institute and i'm already bored." Virgil ran through the trees listening for anything of interest. When all the sudden, a loud THUD almost made him trip and wipe out. "What in the... I should go check that out. Beats sitting here talking to myself." And with that, he changed his course towards the noise.

Running at a full sprint, he came upon the scene very quickly. Virgil ran in, jumped atop a fallen tree, and scanned what he could see. "Uh... A monster, a tree lady, a buff dwarf, an adolescent and Mr.Scythe... So apparently this is happening. Hello people with similar clothing to my own. Fellow ex-inmates i'm assuming." He then pointed at the large hairy man. "Hmm... You, are a rather large fellow.." Then he looked over at the armed hunter and grimaced. "Greeeeaaat. Fresh out of the cage and the cat has already pounced."

Henry tried his best to run away after he pushed down that tree, but he had been going for too long today. It didn't help that he hadn't eaten that much today. The scientists kept his food intake down to a minimum to make sure he wouldn't do anything outrageous in the facility. But now he could already feel cripplingly weak. His stomach growled and fell to his knees. And if that wasn't bad enough, he saw someone come out of the shadows and actually saved the monster soldier. Henry gawked at her for a moment, not completely sure what exactly she was. But it was for sure that she was definitely an alter.

"Wh...what am I thinking...?!" Henry breathed out, his body felt a little weak. "You're the one...who's saving a damned hunter!"

The monster then started taunting him, asking if he wanted to throw any other trees his way. Henry spat at the ground in anger. "Cocky bastard..."

As if that wasn't enough, more and more people started gathering towards the sound of the crashed tree. First was the hunter, then two others, one of which looked like a little girl. Just like the one that the woman he met had mentioned. "Dammit all..." Henry could feel his body recuperating enough for him to stand back up. He felt so hungry, but it wasn't the time for that. Everyone here was in danger and things were spinning out of control way too quickly. Henry needed a plan, something. But in his current state, there wasn't much that he could pull off immediately.

KANIMA

Kanima looked at the trees around her. Free, she was free. For once she allowed her self a little giggle. Oh it felt good. She broke of into a sprint. She could go about half an hour like this without breaking sweat. She loved it, the wing running through her hair, the way twigs crunched beneath her feet, the way the air smelt. Fresh she thought. Closing her eyes she took a deep breath.
"Right" she muttered her eyes still closed, "now what?"
Ok I'm out, running through the forest with my eyes closed and there could be a...
She ran head first into tree. Groaning she stood. Rubbing her head.
I really had to do that...
She could a distant high pitched noise. Radio frequency. What would that mean. She was sometimes tortured by it but...
She listened closer trying to pin point where it was coming from. But instead heard voices. People? Out here?
She followed the voices but the high pitched noise grew fainter and fainter. That's when she saw them. A few people, one dressed as... Something strange. Did people dress like that now? Then she saw someone hiding also making a lot of noise. He was dressed the same as her. Maybe he didn't know he was making that much noise or maybe he was doing it deliberately. Looking about her, Kanima silently walked over to a tree near the one where the other person was standing.
"Uhh, person,"she whispered so quiet that if he was standing about another meter away he wouldn't have heard it." Could you try to be a bit quieter, I can hear you from there."
She looked back at the other people to see if they heard. They didn't seem to. Maybe she should go see. Or she could wait to see if they were going to try and get her back. She went for the safer option. And waited.

MASON

Mason checked the time. Then wished he hadn't he still had ages to work. No activity all day. He then began swinging in his chair. Bored bored bored. He ran through all the cameras in the woods. Then he saw alters. No, no, no no! He looked around. They weren't destroying, they were normal. Maybe he could... No he had to report... But then again. He quickly checked no one was watching. Made that certain security camera malfunction and disposed of the tape. No one would hopefully find them now. They weren't doing anything wrong. Ok you must act casual when anyone comes in. He took a deep breath. And sipped his coffee. Relaxing in his chair.

Jade

Jade panicked at the brute's threat and froze in the tree. She had barely snapped out of it and jumped out of the tree before the boy ran into the tree. She must have hit a branch when she fell out of the tree because she blacked out for a few moments.
When she came to there were so many people in the clearing that a wave of panic came over her. One was a hunter! They needed out of there now. By chance, she happened to see the little girl from earlier. No. Why is she here? Of all the places she could have run why here?

She touched the boy's arm to get his attention as well as to smooth the panic that looked as bad as she felt from his face. "We need to get out of here. Now."

Raizel jumped when he heard a voice talking to him. He franticly looked around for the owner of the voice. He spotted a girl wearing the same clothes that he was. It seems that she isn't working for the Institute, she's a victim of it. He kept his voice quiet, calm, and friendly as he spoke. "I was unaware that I was making noise, thank you stranger." Keeping half an eye on the girl, Raizel turned his attention back to the group of people. That's when he noticed that one of the people wasn't wearing the same white gown as the rest. It was a hunter. Raizel's desire to help people started getting the better of him. He looked back at the girl. "We must help them. I'll tackle the hunter, you get his scythe away from him." Without waiting for an answer Raizel ran at the hunter and tackled him into the ground. He really hoped the girl was willing to help, or he was as good as dead.

"Who the hell is farmerboy here?" Brick asked annoyed and nodded towards the hunter. This was pissing him of, really really pissing him of, first he was almost struck by a tree, then he was tackled by a tree.... Girl..... Whatever.. And Then a hunter showed up to foolishly try to drag Brick back to the hell-hole he had just escaped. "I feel nice today" Brick said with a voice and expression that made it clear that he wasn't feeling very nice. "I'll give you exactly three seconds to Get The fuck out of here before I come over there and remove your guts with my th---" Brick was cut of by some dude coming up from The hunters side and tackled him. That made Brick laugh, a loud, harsh, and dark laughter. "Good... Strike" he said to the guy between his laughs

Henry nodded to the girl. "I get that...but how do we..." Suddenly his thought process was cut off when a random person appeared out of nowhere and tackled the hunter to the ground. Apparently the monster found this to be amusing and started laughing hysterically. That actually was perfect for Henry. Now there was a distraction to keep the others busy while he and the girl escaped with the little one. He ran up to the little girl and, as non-threateningly as he could, gently grabbed her hand. "Listen, I'm not a bad guy. I swear. But right now, we need to get out of here, like now." He turned back to the yellow eyed girl and waved at her to start running as he attempted to also start running with the little girl.

Pomona

Pomona did not stay on the ground for long. Their location was to compromising. This proved to be true when a hunter burst through the trees. Panic caused her heart the slam against her chest as if it wanted to escape as badly as she did. Her eyes flicked to where Esme stood hidden behind a bush and silently willed the child not to make a sound. She was safe as long as she was quiet.

"It looks like you're a bit out numbered. Are you sue you want to..." Pomona planted her feet in the ground and put her hands on her hips as she addressed the hunter, but before she could finish her sentence an alter came out of nowhere and tackled the hunter. At the same moment she saw two of the alters move toward the child whom she was trying to keep safe. Her body moved from motionless to a blur of motion.

Once the hunter was on the ground Pomona bounded forward and tugged the scythe from the hunter's hand. The adrenaline in her system caused Pomona to bring the handle of the scythe down on the head of the hunter with more force than she intended, hoping to knock him out long enough for them to get away. With all her strength she chucked the scythe far into the forest where the hunter wouldn't see it when he got up. As soon as the scythe was out of her hand her attention was back on the little girl. She ran over to where the male alter was trying to coax the little girl to go with him.

"All of you need to come with me," she told him as she stepped between him and the little girl. She scooped the child up off the floor and held her close to her body with a firm grip. "If you stay here you'll get caught. I can take you somewhere safe, but you have to come with me. All of you." She made eye contact with every alter in the area then turned and began picking her way through the trees toward a stream they could not yet hear or see from where they are.

She rolled her eyes as the boy tackled the hunter. If he was watching he would know that the hunter wouldnt be a threat. She waited for a while until there was silence and walked out. She looked at all of them then smiled at the boy who had tackled the hunter.
"Umm, I doubt that tackling the hunter was needed" she whispered to him then smiled at the others "Now most of you look strange so I'm guessing that your all from The Institute"
She smelt the scents of humans mixed with animals, a bear of some sort, two cats of some sort one confused her it smelt like a lion but a horse at the same time. There was also a wolf like her. Then there were another two a hunter and something else. She kept smiling at them.

As Esme kept crouched low she tried to stay hidden but it really did her no good, two alters, the boy and girl from before, came over to her. Even though they were other alters she still wasn't sure about them, she backed into the bush as much as she could but the boy kept coming closer towards her until he actually grabbed her hand. He tried to get her to move, she didn't want to go with him, she tried to pull away but it was no use, the guy was much stronger then her. A small screech escaped her lips then she lurched forward and bit down on the boys hand until he let go. A small snarl escaped her lips as she took a few steps back.

Just then the women that she trusted stepped between her and the boy, she was thankful when she was picked up and held tight. Her tiny arms wrapped around the women's neck, her head leaning against the women's shoulder. There was a lot of other people here, she was shaking and just wanted to be out of the forest. She was scared, already one hunter found them, who knows how many more will sneak up on them.

After the women addressed the group she started walking away with Esme holding onto her. Esme looked at the other alters, suprised some of them were just standing there. They should be running away, don't they know that they are being hunted. Shaking her head slightly Esme just closed her eyes and hoped wherever they were going that they would get there soon.

Riley β€˜Scythe’ Cross

Riley growled in annoyance a boy tackled him to the ground. Facing the boy, his teeth bared in an angry snarl, he grabbed at him. Riley felt someone yank his Scythe away, and he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head, white dots blurring his vision. Riley looked to see a girl escapee chuck his scythe into the brush before he blacked in and out of consciousness. For all he could hear was muffled voices, although most seemed rather happy that they had KOed the hunter. The last thing Riley remembered was the disappointed feeling he had been outsmarted before blacking out completely.
