Casual Wear
Chiharu enjoys wearing things like skirts, usually with leggings or something of the sort. Her favorite outfit seems to be a loose tank top with a denim jacket over the top. The tank top is usually tucked into a maroon colored skirt that she usually has placed up above her her hip bones. It reaches several inches above her knees. Underneath her skirt she throws on a pair of black leggings, and then wears black ankle boots with small golden clips on the sides that make a small clicking noise as she walks, so it's rather obvious when she's making her way down the hall.
Face Claim
Chitoge Kirisaki – Nisekoi
Chiharu, at first, isn't exactly the most kind person. It takes her some time to make friends, because usually people's first impression of her is that she isn't interested in them at all. She doesn't really take the time to create small talk with others, and she doesn't really seem to enjoy it either. While she enjoys some company, she can live without it, and likes quiet time to herself every so often. Usually though, she opens up more once she becomes friendly with others, gaining some humor and seeming much more energy and is more up for conversation and hanging around others for fun. So while it takes her a long time to befriend people, it takes some time longer for her to become close...and, in the case of enemies, people in that area are most likely stuck there. Chiharu is extremely independant as well, thinking she can do everything on her own without any sort of assistance, and always refuses to accept help from others. She feels like those who try to help her just think she's some kind of charity case or a pitiful person. She actually, for the most part, takes offense if someone even tries, and may even get agressive if someone continues. Along with her independance, she aquires the trait of being a very solo worker, and is horrible at any kind of team work. She thinks she needs to do everything on her own, and won't let others do anything, unless they want to frustrate or anger her.
Strengths
- Chiharu is extremely independent, and can do things on her own quite well. She isn't someone who is always needing help, and can take care of herself well too.
- She is very persistent, and is definitely not quick to give up on something she's started.
- Chiharu, once you've gotten to know her well enough, is a very dependable person, and she does her best to stay that way as well.
Weaknesses
- Chiharu refuses any kind of help, and can get aggressive if people try to help her in any way. She thinks that people who do see her as some kind of charity case.
- Because of her independance and refusal to accept help, Chiharu is extremely bad at teamwork, and is definitely someone people would be wise to avoid if something in need of teamwork comes up.
- Chiharu can be rather short temper at times, and is quick to lash out at if she finds someone annoying her.
Fears
- As Chiharu has been independant for quite some time, she fears that one day she might not be able to do everything on her own, or somehow fall to a feeling of helplessness or inadequacy.
- Chiharu is actually terrified of the church she used to be stuck in with her parents, and any mentions of it can set her off negatively.
- Chiharu is extremely claustrophic, so if she is shut in a small room, and she feels like she can't escape, she'll be quick to panic, and can even pass out if she's left long enough.
Forcefield
Power Class
Psychic
Power Description
Chiharu's abilities allow her to create something like a forcefield, whether it be around herself or others. The rather thin lines of protection are more blue in color, as well as transparent. While they don't seem like much, they can put up with quite a lot of force before they shatter, and definitely aren't easy to penetrate. The forcefields also work as platforms for Chiharu to step on and on top of, which gives her the ability to reach rather high or easily climb up steep cliffs by making them like stairs, if she doesn't run out of energy first. A small size of a forcefield for Chiharu is around the size of a small platform big enough to hold one person comfortably, or two if they cram together, and a large one would be enough to hold around six average sized people laying down flat on their backs comfortably, and around ten if they cram together.
Power Limitations and Weaknesses
- Summoning up a forcefield, as well as the size, takes a lot of energy, which causes her to exhaust quite quickly.
- The longer she keeps up a forcefield, the more energy it drains from her.
- She can summon around three or four small forcefields, and one large one.
- The forcefields are summoned flat, and their shape cannot be bent, so she can't create a single, spherical forcefield around herself; it's more of a wall.
- The more tired she is, the harder it is for her to summon up forcefields. An outside force destroying her forcefield instead of her dismissing it also seems to exhaust her, and can take quite a toll on her body.
- If she is somehow left unconscious, the forcefields immediately disappear.
Chiharu was born to her parents as their only child, in a city located in Japan. They lived in a small apartment, just the three of them, where they managed well enough financially, being able to pay for the monthly rent and still keep food on their table. At the same time, Chiharu's mother and father were very involved and dedicated to a certain small, but ever growing church, to the point that it was nearly extreme. It just so happened that this church's view on the Awakened was "positive." They saw them as children of their god in some strange way, and they did everything they could to convert them, and bring them to their church, whether it be through persistence, or force. Though many times, they were unsuccessful, or would be stopped or even arrested by police if they went too far.
Chiharu, on the other hand, was still very young, and didn't understand anything the priest would speak over the pulpit, or what her parents were trying to explain to her all the time. All she could really figure out was that her parents were dedicated to it and loved it, and figured she should do the same.
It was back then when the family seemed happy enough, and even with all the parents did with their religion, they still seemed to be able to find time to put aside for their own family things. For Chiharu, that would be the happiest memories of her life, but there were only those ones.
At the age of 11, Chiharu found herself in the kitchen with her mother and father, helping to cook dinner. She was moving things around on the table to their right spots when she accidentally hit the edge of a pot filled with boiling water. It was knocked unstable, and suddenly began to tilt until Chiharu realized it was going to fall onto her. In a moment of panic, Chiharu quickly crouched down and put her hands over her head, bracing herself for the burning pain she would soon feel, but it never came. Instead the room was filled with silence, and Chiharu opened her eyes before looking up, only to see something like a holographic platform sitting above her, with the pot on top and the water dripping over the edges onto the ground.
It was a reaction unlike most families had when they realized their son or daughter was one of the Awakene. Chiharu's parents were yelling out for joy and jumping around like children, throwing her up into the air and dancing around the room. Chiharu wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but she was extremely happy all the same.
As her parents contacted the leaders of their church, Chiharu sat in their living room, silently trying to create her forcefields again. Occasionally something would appear, but it was hardly ever bigger than the size of her palm. Of course, that seemed to be enough.
After the discovery of her abilities, their family was suddenly the talk of the church. Her parents even began climbing up to becoming leaders of the church, or at least, they had quite an influence over it. Of course, why wouldn't they? Their own daughter was one of those that they basically worshipped. Not only did they acquire that, but they also gained money. The originally poor family of theee was now loaded with money, and more than they needed. They even got themselves a rather large home, and as they continued on, they even had extremely dedicated members of the church, and the leading priest himself coming around to help with their daughter, and teaching her what she was to them.
Soon enough, Chiharu was basically having every single thing done for her. They had maids that would dress her, do her hair, help her clean up, clean her room, make her food, get her anything she wanted, and teachers who would come and teach her at her home. When she didn't understand something, people would come rushing to help her, and basically do her whole homework assignment in the end. She was barely allowed to leave her home, and she could never see anyone outside of their home and church.
So each day she sat, staring, nearly going insane with boredom as everyone around her did everything for her. Not to mention the fact that her parents never seemed to be around or even care much about her unless one of their leaders came around, or they were at the church building where they acted like they were the greatest and closest family there was. She felt distant from her parents, and with nothing to do all day, it left her hours and hours to just think. And in that time, she realized she was miserable, and that she really did hate her life, but she hated her parents even more. So, she decided she'd run away. So what if she didn't ever see them again, she didn't care. She would finally be able to do whatever she wanted on her own, she wouldn't have to let someone else do it for her. She could learn how to take care of herself, and she would be perfectly fine.
So, one night, when she was finally able to find time alone, she began to gather things into a small bag, dressed into comfortable clothes, and then she climbed out her window, carefully avoiding anyone outside. Of course, her freedoms wouldn't last for long. Almost as soon as she'd disappeared, they'd taken notice and sent out people to find her. In the end, it was the mother and father thsmselves who found her. At first, she ran, but finally, she gave up and turned to face them.
"Come back home, Chiharu," they begged, "why would you run away? We've given you everything! We love you-"
Immediately she cut them off, feeling a sudden burst of anger. Her hands balled up into fists, her face twisted with rage, and she couldn't even hold herself back as she shook in her spot. She bit her tongue hard enough to draw blood, before she suddenly burst into a fit of anger.
"You don't love me!" She yelled. "Not me, not myself, not who I really am! You just love what I am!"
To say their relationship wasn't a massive disaster already would be a huge lie. Saying it wasn't destroyed after that night would be an even bigger one.
When Chiharu turned 16, her parents finally gave up on trying to do anything about their daughter. They finally caved in and gave up the letter they'd been holding on to for so many years to themselves. Inside was a request to attend Furushima Academy, and eagerly, she accepted, ready to get the hell out of her awful home and away from her family. Maybe here she could find herself freedom.
"He's okay, I guess. I haven't talked with him, and I don't plan on it either."
Chiharu really doesn't care for Kosei, simple as that. She isn't going to step forward to try and comfort him when he's upset, and she isn't going to go try and join in with him if he's having fun and doing something. In fact, she just kind of finds herself ignoring him. Not that he seems to really have interest in her or is too shy to talk anyways, so it's no big deal. He's just kind of there, and she's okay with that.
"Hm, as long as you stay away from me, I think we'll be okay...but I think you feel the same anyways, so we'll be fine, I suppose."
Chiharu mainly just ignores Lucien, like almost every other student in her year. She isn't planning on trying to befriend the male anytime soon, and so she just kind of doesn't put any attention his way unless he draws it to himself somehow. Though, even if she doesn't seem to curious of him, he is quite the interesting individual...but she doesn't want to spend her time trying to figure out the man with the locked box of emotions.
"Stop trying to always help me! What do I look like, some pitiful charity case!? I can handle these things on my own!"
Chiharu hates Alfred, that's all there is to it. She finds herself constantly frustrated with the male, and would prefer if he'd stay far away from her. What is it with him and always trying to help her and all the others around him? Why can't he just back off? It isn't his job to take care of everyone and try to fix them! She's perfectly capable of handling her own problems, and she would appreciate it if he would back off...all the time, and everyday, thank you very much.
"Loud...confusing...violent? How else can I describe this kid? They're...strange."
Nova confuses Chiharu to say the least. The male...female...they...are constantly throwing her into a loop of confusion and leaving her quite lost. Not to mention how loud they are; she isn't sure if she can keep her annoyance suppressed for very long when they're around. But...they seem to...get violent sometimes, and Chiharu does her best to steer clear of that.
"You're one massive headache, aren't you? I can't tell if you just want attention or if you're really a simple asshole."
Chiharu is not particularly fond of Taikan, like many others in the school. Though, unlike them, she doesn't seem to be scared of him. Sure, sometimes he might startle her, but nothing more than that. He mostly just annoys her. Is he looking for attention by making everyone feel like trash? Or is it something else? Maybe he really is just a complete jerk? Oh well. She doesn't have to give him any time of her life if she doesn't want to, so she chooses to ignore and avoid him if she happens to come across him when at the Academy.
"Back off, pervert. I don't have any interest in your sexual desires."
Keiji disgusts Chiharu on a whole new level that she never thought anyone could achieve. His sexual comments and suggestions, and his way of hitting on women, even if he hardly knows them, is something she finds ridiculous and would like to avoid at all costs. So, if she happens to stumble across him somewhere, she'll be quick to give the cold shoulder and walk away, but if necessary, she will move to physical solutions (i'm sure that her hand would leave a lovely and memorable mark on his cheek).
"No, I don't want to buy anything that you're selling, okay?"
Chiharu basically avoids Abel the best she can. She finds herself annoyed with his flirtatious ways, and not only that, but how he tries to sell things to...well, everyone she supposes. Guess no one is really free from his salesman-like way of acting. Him approaching her would likely result in a very cold ignoring towards him.
"Hmph, at least he knows to keep his distance. I'll be fine with him if he doesn't try to push me."
Chiharu knows that Elias could be the kind of person that would constantly try to help her, but he seems to know to keep his distance from her right now...or at least more than several people she knows...and that she can be quite happy about. He won't try too hard to see if he can get somewhere where she'll allow him to help her, or at least for now. So, just stick there and you won't earn any angry words from Chiharu. But it doesn't seem like she's really set on becoming friends with him sooner or later. For now, he just needs to back off.
"She's cool. Doesn't seem to get up in my business, and seems to know my boundaries...I really appreciate that."
Chiharu, surprisingly, seems to have taken a liking to Nao, and wouldn't mind hanging around her every so often. She isn't loud, she isn't shy, she doesn't try and offer her help all the time, and she's just a relaxing person to be around, or at least for Chiharu. To be completely honest, Nao is the only one that Chiharu can really tolerate, so occasionally she might find herself trying to go over and perhaps start a conversation with her.
"Please stay away. I don't need your pity."
Natalia seems to be someone that people like, and Chiharu can kind of see that, with her kindness. But at the same time, Chiharu knows that if she even talked to her upperclassman, it would only end with the girl trying to help in some way, or trying to get her to come hang out with her occasionally, perhaps to do the same thing...or at least, that's what she thinks.
"Shizuka's okay, but I don't really have an interest in trying to make friends with her."
She's pretty quiet, kind of like Kosei, but much much more than the blonde too. In fact, the girl is a bit...extreme in her shyness. Chiharu has no desire to even try and help her break from that shell, so she doesn't even girl her the time of day. Of course, she would be nice enough to Shizuka if she was the one who was the first to approach and start a conversation, but she doesn't think there's even a slim chance that's ever going to happen.
"I know I can be rude sometimes, but really, her's is a whole other level"
Chiharu really doesn't Kylie, and she makes it quite obvious too. Whenever the upperclassman is around, she does quite well to ignore her, and if the female were to try and come close to her, she would be quick to shoot her harsh glares and mutters angry words underneath her breath. So, to say the least, Kylie is another one of Chiharu's list of "those to avoid."
