Description: Slender and rather tall. About 5ā9, often canāt get clothes to fit her so clothing always looks baggy and a mess. Has a large birthmark on her shoulder. Many people call her beautiful, but she ignores these remarks because she doesnāt see beauty as a good thing.
Name: Rosie āAthensā Clarke
Age: 16
Sex: Female
I Otherwordly changed into a: Beautiful, deep red FengHuang, a phoenix-like fire bird. When Athens transforms into a FengHuang she grows a peacock-like tail and large feathered wings that sit awkwardly on her back, just like the bird. Her hair grows into two long peacock-like feathers that sit either side of her face. Although she has wings, she cannot fly, for the wings are too delicate to carry her weight.
Personality: Athens is angry. She is angry at life. Angry at her parents. Angry at the world. Sometimes she has temperamental episodes that cause her to throw and break things, mostly glass, for she likes the sound of the glass shattering. It calms her. Athens is not depressed, she does not sit in her room and cry or ābottleā up her stresses, though perhaps that would be best. When Athens is furious, you will hear about it. You will hear screams, yells, and expensive china flying across the room. Oh yes, Athens is not the type to bottle up her frustrations.
Though just because she is often in a bad mood it does not mean that her temper affects her smarts.
Athens is extremely intelligent and can often figure social situations and puzzles out quickly. She enjoys reading people; their actions, faces, words and anything else that she is able to read from a person. Often when she was a child she would invent games she could play by herself and they would keep her entertained for hours.
Inside, Athens is a very caring person and honestly it takes a lot to annoy her to the point of yelling or violence. With some people, especially kids, she is very tolerant. With othersā¦well not so much.
When she was a kid she was very kind, shy, loved the world and everyone in it. Her experiences have warped her personality and made her angry. But who is to blame her?
Athens is generally quiet until her temper gets hold of her, she is not stubborn (though it depends on the subject) and will do what she is told if it has some kind of benefit to her.
Athens hates her anger and wishes to change it, but she deems it near impossible to rid of something deep in her past.
Fears: To hurt innocent people with her anger, water and drowning, spiders and weird looking bugs.
Dreams: To not be angry anymore; see the world as a good place, to have money, to help other orphans like her.
History: Athens was only 7 years old when her mother and father ran away to Paris. She was an only child and they had left her to wake up in the morning with no parents, no money, and no relatives to fall back on. She realised this when she was starving and still waiting for her parents a day later. The next-door neighbour, who thought something was weird, called Authorities and they took her away to a foster home. It was there that she met a man, her āto beā guardian, who raped her and locked her in a bedroom. Athens, who was called Rosie back then, spent a year constantly getting raped by this man with no ways to escape. An older girl called Georgia eventually joined Rosie, but after a week Georgia devised a plan to escape, and pleaded for Rosie to come. The two girls escaped and landed on the street; homeless and having to use prostitution to get money and eat. It was there that Rosie changed her name to Athens. When Athens was 15, her and Georgia were living in a beachside shack they had put together, hidden away in trees so no one would find them. Athens was coming home from her āprostitution shiftā when she found Georgia dead on the floor of the dirty old shack. Georgia had been raped and stabbed by an old client who they had dealt with many times.
Thatās when Authorities found Athens, and took her away.
Athens still keeps the golden necklace Georgia had saved up for her on her birthday.
