"Do you draw?" she asked, realising she had said wolves were fun to draw. "I've never heard a comment like that before Elatha. It's a funny thing you should say." she commented, pouring whippy cream on and then opening the marshmallows. She smiled to the girl. "If you like, I woul let you try drawing me in my wolf form. There's some truly beautiful views in this town that would make amazing backdrops." she held out the mug of hot chocolate to the girl with a tower of cream and sprinkled with mini marshmallows.
"I-I mean... yes, please." she said a little softer with a sheepish smile as she reatched out and took the cup. It was hot to the touch and warmed Elatha's hands right up. She picked off one of the mini-marshmellows of the sky-high heap of whipped cream and popped it in her mouth as Lucas walked in and anounced he was going for a drive before leaving again. Had he been there the whole time? Elatha didn't think it mattered, though he seemed a lot happier now. She looked at Sumi again and lipped the whipped cream happily, chewing a marshmellow she had caught. "Thank you the dessert," Elatha said to Sumina, then offered meakly, "M-Maybe I can braid beads in your hair... you know, if you wanted..."
She turned back down to Elatha, smiling gently to her again. "You're welcome Elatha, and beads?" she'd never really heard of people threading beads into other peoples hair. It wasn't really something she had ever tried. "Well, I'd be happy to find out what it's like to have beads threaded into my hair, young friend." she smiled lightly to the girl and nodded gently. "I would like it very much of you would do that for me." she commented happily, picking up a marshmallow and sniffing it, before popping it into her mouth.
He started the engine and took off quite slowly. He drove slowly but kept an eye on everything. He was getting very paranoid from the thought of the rebels. It was a scary thought to him and everyone other human who lived in the town. The only defense he had against him was firepower and a good shot. He stopped by the lake and sat at the shore. He looked out as the moon shone over the glass-like water. It was calming like he could stay there forever.
"You're also correct about shapeshifters. Though not all develop from the wolf bloodline. It's mainly all large animals." she seemed to look thoughtful herself. "However, although it may seem that they just shift into animals, they also develop amazing abilities." she scratched the back of her neck tensely at thinking about one of the traits that came along with her other form and decide to discuss it no further. It was one thing that, she could confess, made her feel like a monster.
"The only other creatures you must've not encountered are goblins." Sumi said, changing the topic quickly. "Now, there's two type of Goblins. There's a small, clever type which tend to run most of the small shops and market stalls. They have a tendency to try and scam you out of your money. The Second type is a bulky strong type. They're a bit more... Fiesty." she frowned slightly. "In my opinion. They're the worst things that live around here. They're terribly hard to fight with thick skin and a vicious attitude. I'll leave it to Lucas to take you into more detail with it though. Just... I wouldn't approach a goblin alone..." Sumi frowned slightly. It was obvious, she wasn't a big fan of being a monster among many, but it wasn't like she could help it...
(sorry I've been gone so far, I just went on a 9 hr trip... But I'm back!)
Elatha listened intently as Sumi spoke. She found her comment about the gender ratio of the sucubi and incubi she was likely to see. Honstely she couldn't imagen anyone walking up and flirting with her but whatever. It might be flattering, although if she stuck with her sister all the incubi would likely flock to the model sibling without a second glance at Elatha. Again, that was totally okay with her. She also felt better when Sumi said that there were other people, human-people, in town despite the fact they would probably threaten her life. It was understandable why. Elatha took another swig of her yummy cocoa, chewing the fluffy marshmellows as Sumina went on.
The comment above various other shape shifter bloodlines fasincated Elatha and she wondered exactly how many types where in existance. Although Sumi seemed to be eager to move away from the topic of shape shifter's special powers, moving on quickly to the subject of goblins. Elatha decided not to press the girl for information as it would probably be rude and maybe even offensive. The way that Sumina talked of the first type of goblins was in annoyance, but the second type she actually sounded fearful of. As she described the second type of goblin Elatha smiled sightly, "It sounds like the Increidable Hulk." she said with a small giggle.
((Sorry for short post, can't think of anything else to put >.<))
Elatha thought for a moment, drinking her cocoa slowly. "Actually, yeah... Lucas." She paused for a moment. She had a lot of questions about Lucas but wasn't exactly sure how to phrase all of them. "How did my cousin... how did he...?" she motioned around, trying to find the words to continue her question, "I mean... Is he in charge? He's just a human, but he's sort of... in charge, right? Of all of this?" She looked at Sumina with a small plea in her eyes for the girl to understand her question.
His emotions were something he tried not to show to most people. He had to keep the appearance of a fearless sheriff type leader and he couldn't be stopped by anything. He was almost the opposite, the only reason he took the job was because he was the only human who could do it and he could make most fights end up calm and both sides content.
