Sumi smiled at the girl. "I'm glad you do not see me as a monster. And of course we can." she grinned at the girl, before leading her into the kitchen. "I must confess, you sound more excited than anything." It made Sumi chuckle a little. "You are certainly an extraordinary girl. Though I can now see how yourself and Lucas are related." she smiled and then listened to the kettle whistle, picking it up and pouring it into two cups, holding hot chocolate powder and soon filling with brown bubbly liquid.

"Do you draw?" she asked, realising she had said wolves were fun to draw. "I've never heard a comment like that before Elatha. It's a funny thing you should say." she commented, pouring whippy cream on and then opening the marshmallows. She smiled to the girl. "If you like, I woul let you try drawing me in my wolf form. There's some truly beautiful views in this town that would make amazing backdrops." she held out the mug of hot chocolate to the girl with a tower of cream and sprinkled with mini marshmallows.

Lucas was happy and eavesdropping from the top of the stairs that Sumi and Elatha were getting along. Of course he knew they would since anyone who relitively knew him was a friend in her eyes. He went down stairs and checked on the town again. He saw nothing out of the usual and flipped off the moniter. He reached for his uzi but didn't take it. He walked through the living room unarmed then turned to the girls. "I'm gonna go for a ride. If anything Sumi you know where the guns are. " he said a smirk on his face as he walked out onto the porch to see Brooklyn sighing. "Hey I'm gonna go for a ride around town for a bit you wanna go? " he said trying to get rid of her skeptisism of the town.

Elatha grinned at the completment (she loved it when someone thought good of her), feeling very happy that someone thought she was 'extraordinary'. She watched as Sumi made the coco and listened at she spoke. "Do you draw?" Sumina asked her, before going on by saying, "I've never heard a comment like that before Elatha. It's a funny thing you should say. If you like, I woul let you try drawing me in my wolf form. There's some truly beautiful views in this town that would make amazing backdrops." Sumi offered with a smile and Elatha nearly leapt from her chair in excitement. "Yes! Oh boy, would I ever-" Elatha slapped a hand over her mouth, her face turning red in embarressment as she realized she was being very, very loud.

"I-I mean... yes, please." she said a little softer with a sheepish smile as she reatched out and took the cup. It was hot to the touch and warmed Elatha's hands right up. She picked off one of the mini-marshmellows of the sky-high heap of whipped cream and popped it in her mouth as Lucas walked in and anounced he was going for a drive before leaving again. Had he been there the whole time? Elatha didn't think it mattered, though he seemed a lot happier now. She looked at Sumi again and lipped the whipped cream happily, chewing a marshmellow she had caught. "Thank you the dessert," Elatha said to Sumina, then offered meakly, "M-Maybe I can braid beads in your hair... you know, if you wanted..."

"No," she said quickly. Sure, it would ease her boredom, but being stuck in a car with him for who knows how long? No thanks. It was probably mean that she didn't want to spend any time with him, they had been sent to the town to get to know him better, but she didn't care enough to subject herself to that. She might go in and unpack soon, anyway. It was hot, and she didn't know how many mosquitoes would be out. They usually flock to her as soon as she goes outside, so she'd be finding out if there were a lot soon.

Sumi nodded to Lucas, hoping that nothing would happen that Lucas was hinting at, but saying not even managing to respond as he had already walked out. She sighed, though still smiled. That guy had a fast-moving mind, always moving forwards. Like a shark. It amused her sometimes, but also worried her too. The amount of times she'd waited up just to make sure he came home safe was actually remarkable.

She turned back down to Elatha, smiling gently to her again. "You're welcome Elatha, and beads?" she'd never really heard of people threading beads into other peoples hair. It wasn't really something she had ever tried. "Well, I'd be happy to find out what it's like to have beads threaded into my hair, young friend." she smiled lightly to the girl and nodded gently. "I would like it very much of you would do that for me." she commented happily, picking up a marshmallow and sniffing it, before popping it into her mouth.

Elatha smiled, glad Sumi had taken to the idea. Some people would have thought it was weird but Elatha loved to do it (although she couldn't for the life of her do it on her own hair. Back when she and her sister were still kids, Brooklyn used to let Elatha weave beads in her hair, until that is she decided that beads were (actual quote) "Childish, immature and totally clash with every style in existance". Elatha was pretty sure she could disprove that claim but had been too hurt and upset at the time. Elatha realized she had been staring at her cup, having zoned out at the memories, and quickly snapped her attention up to Sumina again. "So, can you tell me more about this town?" she asked, taking a sip of her cocoa, getting some on the tip of her nose.

Sumi smiled at the girl, though her question was rather vague, she didn't quite know how to respond. "Well there's... And... Uhm... What would you like to know about out town, Elatha? There is probably quite a lot I could talk about, but only some of it may be of interest to you." Sumi tilted her head at the young girl, before leaning forwards and wiping away a bit of cream that went onto her cheek. "I might have overdone the whippy cream...

Elatha giggled a little as Sumi brushed away the cream almost like a mother or a really good friend. "Well..." she began, pausing, thinking. She wanted to know just about everything about this town. After all, she'd be staying here for the next couple of months; she may as well know about this place. "I guess the first thing I should ask is if the entire town is full of supernatural. Are Brooklyn and I the only ones here or are there humans too? And what other types of supernatural are there? I know there are vampires in Sector V. I'm going to assume you aren't the only shapeshifter around. Ummm, I know that there are incubi so I'm going to assume that there are sucubi around town to..." she trailed off, hoping Sumi would continue her observation.

Lucas sighed and hung his head slightly dispointed. "Okay then " he said with depression in his voice. He started the car and started to ride out. He crossed sector V and a thought struck him as he drove through and into the woods where the rebels were killed. He stopped the car and jumped out and kneeled at the ashes and sighed. The cool air ran through his branches making an eeire sound of inmpending doom. Lucas stood up and grabbed a shovel out of the back and started digging. He dug a fourfoot hole in the Earth beside a tree and moved all the ashes into it slowly. Lucas believed in a proper burial even if they were rebels. He looked at the tree and marked the names of the four on the tree before covering the hole in. He bowed then threw the shovel back in the jeep.

He started the engine and took off quite slowly. He drove slowly but kept an eye on everything. He was getting very paranoid from the thought of the rebels. It was a scary thought to him and everyone other human who lived in the town. The only defense he had against him was firepower and a good shot. He stopped by the lake and sat at the shore. He looked out as the moon shone over the glass-like water. It was calming like he could stay there forever.

"You're right, there are sucubi too. Though since you're females, you're more likely to encounter incubi around here." she smiled gently to Elatha and then leant back against the counter. "There are other humans located around the area too. But since this town is mostly inhabited with the 'supernatural' creatures, they are more cautious and less likely to strike up a friendly conversation, and more likely to point a gun to your head. I would just keep to whatever advice Lucas had given you." she recommended, before becoming thoughtful.

"You're also correct about shapeshifters. Though not all develop from the wolf bloodline. It's mainly all large animals." she seemed to look thoughtful herself. "However, although it may seem that they just shift into animals, they also develop amazing abilities." she scratched the back of her neck tensely at thinking about one of the traits that came along with her other form and decide to discuss it no further. It was one thing that, she could confess, made her feel like a monster.

"The only other creatures you must've not encountered are goblins." Sumi said, changing the topic quickly. "Now, there's two type of Goblins. There's a small, clever type which tend to run most of the small shops and market stalls. They have a tendency to try and scam you out of your money. The Second type is a bulky strong type. They're a bit more... Fiesty." she frowned slightly. "In my opinion. They're the worst things that live around here. They're terribly hard to fight with thick skin and a vicious attitude. I'll leave it to Lucas to take you into more detail with it though. Just... I wouldn't approach a goblin alone..." Sumi frowned slightly. It was obvious, she wasn't a big fan of being a monster among many, but it wasn't like she could help it...

Donovan stayed in the woods, knowing not to come out unless their cousin had left. Eventually, the boy left, and he was free to come and talk to Brookelyn again. He walked out, an innocent look plastered on his face. "Some cousin." He said, shaking his head and walking back beside her. He knew that he wouldn't be able to make a move or anything on her tonight, so smiled at her. Then he waved a good-bye, and turned on his heel. "I'll see you sometime later." He declared, looking over his shoulder. He trotted to the driveway and walked out to the road.

(sorry I've been gone so far, I just went on a 9 hr trip... But I'm back!)

((Welcome back Kyren!))

Elatha listened intently as Sumi spoke. She found her comment about the gender ratio of the sucubi and incubi she was likely to see. Honstely she couldn't imagen anyone walking up and flirting with her but whatever. It might be flattering, although if she stuck with her sister all the incubi would likely flock to the model sibling without a second glance at Elatha. Again, that was totally okay with her. She also felt better when Sumi said that there were other people, human-people, in town despite the fact they would probably threaten her life. It was understandable why. Elatha took another swig of her yummy cocoa, chewing the fluffy marshmellows as Sumina went on.

The comment above various other shape shifter bloodlines fasincated Elatha and she wondered exactly how many types where in existance. Although Sumi seemed to be eager to move away from the topic of shape shifter's special powers, moving on quickly to the subject of goblins. Elatha decided not to press the girl for information as it would probably be rude and maybe even offensive. The way that Sumina talked of the first type of goblins was in annoyance, but the second type she actually sounded fearful of. As she described the second type of goblin Elatha smiled sightly, "It sounds like the Increidable Hulk." she said with a small giggle.

Sumi blinked a couple of times before breaking into a new smile, laughing a little. "I suppose it does, doesn't it?" she responded, looking to the girl happily. She blinked a couple of times and then leant back, tilting her head. "Is there anything else that interests you about Oakhill?"

((lol, it's ok))

Elatha thought for a moment, drinking her cocoa slowly. "Actually, yeah... Lucas." She paused for a moment. She had a lot of questions about Lucas but wasn't exactly sure how to phrase all of them. "How did my cousin... how did he...?" she motioned around, trying to find the words to continue her question, "I mean... Is he in charge? He's just a human, but he's sort of... in charge, right? Of all of this?" She looked at Sumina with a small plea in her eyes for the girl to understand her question.

Sumi paused for a moment, trying to work out what she meant by 'in charge' before letting out a gentle laugh. "He's not in charge of the town if that's what you mean." She giggled a little, looking up to her. "Lucas is known as 'the keeper'. He's around to make sure that the, uhm... creatures of this town don't leave or cause too much chaos for the humans." She tilted her head slightly, leaning against the counter. "It's a wonder how he manages to do it... I mean, sure, he has his assistants... but still... it's a tricky job to do. He has to make sure that everyone gets along and that there's no vampires sucking blood, no goblins running scandals, no sucubi or Incubi terrorizing humans, and no shapeshifter using their other forms to attack the townsfolk." Sumina carefully tapped her fingers, one at a time, on the counter before looking up to Sumi and wearing a smile once more. "I guess he's just got a good heart. He probably just cares about everyone's safety." She noted happily.

"Yeah, he's a bit crazy," Brooklyn said to Donovan, "he just goes out and shoots people," she replied. She didn't get what their problem was. Donovan couldn't have done anything too bad, his face assured her of that. "Yeah, I'll see you later," she said, smiling back. She should probably head in, anyway. It was getting dark, and soon all the bugs would flock to the porch light. She got up and went inside, going up to her room. She flopped down on her bed, trying to work up the energy to unpack.

Lucas stood up and walked back to his jeep extremely calm and tranquil. He started up the engine and drove slowly back towards his home. He crossed by sector G and saw most of the goblins in bed but there was just a few of the larger ones glaring at him. Lucas drove slightly quicker as one started to move towards him. He made it back to the house quickly and parked it in the driveway before going into the house. He sighed and lied down on the large couch and closed his eyes. He was still stirred up from the goblin but he tried not to show it.

His emotions were something he tried not to show to most people. He had to keep the appearance of a fearless sheriff type leader and he couldn't be stopped by anything. He was almost the opposite, the only reason he took the job was because he was the only human who could do it and he could make most fights end up calm and both sides content.

"Lucas is known as 'the keeper'. He's around to make sure that the, uhm... creatures of this town don't leave or cause too much chaos for the humans." He has to make sure that everyone gets along and that there's no vampires sucking blood, no goblins running scandals, no sucubi or Incubi terrorizing humans, and no shapeshifter using their other forms to attack the townsfolk." Sumi drummedthe marble counter top with her fingertips and a small little smile came over her lips. "I guess he's just got a good heart. He probably just cares about everyone's safety." "Well, it sounds like you are very fond of him." Elatha commented, sipping some cocoa from her mug and avoiding Sumi's eyes on purpose. "I'm wondering... how on earth did my cousin; my mortal, human cousin, land a job like this; keeping supernatural creatures in this itty-bitty town?" she asked. Really it was a little hard to fathom. Sure her cousin had always been a little... strange, but he was still human unlike appearantly the vast majority of the residents here.

"Well, it sounds like you are very fond of him." Sumi's eyes widened at what the young girl was hinting and quickly shook her head. "No no no! It's nothing like that!" She couldn't help it when her pale cheeks darkened a little. "He saved my life about a year ago, and I became eternally grateful for it. I'm merely an assistant." She was rather flustered and embarrassed by the thought of her being fond of Lucas in that way. It wasn't something she'd ever really considered, and immediately tried to move on from it. "I'm wondering... how on earth did my cousin; my mortal, human cousin, land a job like this; keeping supernatural creatures in this itty-bitty town?" "Well, that is a strange question, I must admit..." Sumina responded, nodding along with her and biting her lip. "I guess he took it on himself, it's his choice. But..." She scratched the back of her neck. "He does need the help. He may act like he doesn't want it at times... but he needs it, in case something bad happens to him." Sumi looked to Elatha and sighed. "How do I say this... Most other humans around here, are a little arrogant. 'Every man for himself' and all that lark. I guess, Lucas is a bit more wholey, believing we should all help each other in a socialist way."
