Elatha went to her window and peered into the night, listening to the sounds of the crickets and... voices? Yes, voices! Elatha looked out her window as she recognized her sister standing outside and saw a man approaching her. 'Oh shoot- Brooklyn, why the heck are you outside!?' Elatha thought angrily, wanting to scream at her older sister who could sometimes be more of a blonde than a redhead. Quickly she grabbed up her gun and full out tackled her door open. She ran down the stairs and turned to run into the basement when she remembered what Lucas had said: The basement was off-limits. Elatha hesitated for a moment before she growled and instead turned to the front door, bolting for it.

"No, I've just got here this morning, and my cousin has been trying to keep me and my baby sister locked up all Summer," she said, "A walk sounds nice," she smiled, noticing him staring at her body, despite her lack of curves. There was a reason she tries to test herself, to see how long she can last without food. She needs to be skinny to keep modeling. It's crap for awhile, if it was an option to quit, to eat normally and stay thin, she'd take it in a heartbeat. But there wasn't. And after awhile, it feels nice. Saying no to food makes you feel strong. It's not like she has a problem or anything, though. She knows she's thin. She knows she looks good.

Donovan grinned. "Than an escape from here might be nice, yes? Where would you like to go first? The Forest?" He asked, arching an eyebrow and looking over to where the forest was. "Don't worry. All the scary creatures in there know better than to have any buisiness with me." He smiled, knowing the cousin had mentioned the forest. He gestured toward the place he knew as home. Where the trees were tall, and shadowy.

"Sounds cool," she said, smiling at his joke about the scary creatures in the forest. Her cousin's insanity must be common knowledge, and he's joking about it. And an escape did sound good. They just need to get out of there before someone heard or saw them talking, and her outside of the house. She'd get in trouble or whatever. (Not that she cared. What would they do- send her to her room? Not much of a punishment, as she was usually either out with friends or in her room when she was home. It wouldn't change here.)

'I guess this makes me a rule-breaker' Elatha thought bitterly, but her loyalty to her sister kept her going. Opening and closing the front door she gripped tight the gun at her side. Brooklyn probably hadn't even brought hers. Elatha was muttering silently to herself as she walked around to the otherside. Upon seeing her sister, Elatha assumed the roll of 'cute, baby sister' and acted the part to perfection. "Brookie? Hi! What are you doing out here? Did you come to look at the sky?" Elatha chimed, putting enough honey and sugar in her voice it almost made her gag. She pretended like she had just seen the boy who stood near her sister and smiled, waving at him. Maybe it was possible for her to frighten him away with her childishess. Well, it was worth a shot! And it it didn't work, he might find himself taking a shot stright from her gun. "Oh hi! What's your name? Did you come to look the stars to? This clearing is the best place to see them." She said, craning her neck upwards with a giggle that made her want to wretch. She didn't even like stars! They were uneven and the night sky was incredable hard to draw accurately. But still there was no way she was going to let her irresponsible sister get eaten by this... this... thing. But then again, what could she do if her sister still chose to walk away?

He smiled an nodded. "Alright let's g-" He was cut off by the prescence of a little girl. She spoke in an adorable voice, that made his skin crawl. "I... The stars?" He asked, and looked up. "Oh, yes, the stars. They are beautiful..." He trailed off, and actually zoned out to space. He looked at every star carefully, and returned his gaze to Brooke and the girl. "She's so cute!" He said, whispering to Brooklyn. "What's her name?" He asked, looking at the younger one curiously.

Brooklyn resisted the urge to laugh at the act her sister was putting on. It was so obviously fake. To her, at least. She might fool someone who didn't know her. "That's my baby sister, Elatha, who is going inside now," she said, exaggerating the second half of her second part of her sentence to get the point across. She might listen, she might not. Probably not, since she hardly ever listened to a word Brooklyn said. But still, she could hope. She wondered why she would come out and try to act cute or whatever. How is it any of her business whether she talks to someone or not?

Lucas had gotten all of the rebels marked and put in as dead. He checked up the incubus and saw he was Donavon and he had quite a few souls under his belt already. Lucas sighed and shut his computer down before checking on the girls and if Sumina was back yet. He walked upstairs and looked around for the two. He wanted to explain a bit more but they were nowhere to be found. He heard something which sounded like Brooklyn and a male.

Lucas thought something wasn't right. He pulled out the S&M out and loaded the chambers before walking outside. He leaned on the wall out of sight before flinging out and pointing the gun at Donovan. "Don't move a muscle Donovan you ha e all been told to stay away from girls now leave them be! " he shouted as he pulled the hammer back on his revolver. He wouldn't hesitate to shoot and he wouldn't feel any remorse about it.

Donovan nodded. "Nice to meet you, Elatha." He smiled, and jut then was distracted by yet another prescence. His scarlet eyes widened at the gun pointed at him, not to mention his name being spoken. He knew not to get into too much buisiness with the two girls, yes, but he did it anyways. He let out a low sound, backing up and raising his hands to show he was done here. Donovan continued to back up, and eventually he was far enough to run. He turned on his heel an sprinted into the forest, dust and dirt spitting up from the ground and making a smoke-screen for him. He hid in the shadows of the trees, watching the girls and the cousin with longing.

Brooklyn frowned. "If you don't like him that much, you can just tell him to leave," she snapped. She didn't see why he'd dislike the guy so much that he'd want to point a gun at him, but things happen. A lot must have happened between the two of them. And there's Luca's insanity, that probably plays a role. She knew she had been caught, obviously, and wonders if he's going to try to punish her. She still didn't think that he could do much, but still. He might try to do something. He would have to get creative, though, considering she's only a couple years younger, and almost his height.

Elatha blinked as Lucas came out of the house, wielding the gun defensively."Don't move a muscle Donovan you ha e all been told to stay away from girls now leave them be!" He then lifted his hands as a sign of surrender and had slowly backed away before retreated into the woods and disappereared from view. Elatha tried to spot him though the darkness but to no avail. So instead she just waved in the direction the guy had gone and vanished in. Lucas' sudden hostility was more than she had anticipated for. The guy, Donovan, hadn't been violent (although Elatha kept in mind that his intentions were not as pure as his actions). Still... well, Elatha had no right to question her cousin's actions. He knew this place better than they did and if he said something was dangerous, it probably was. Elatha took her eyes away from the woods and bit her lip, expecting also to recieve a punishment for disobeying rules, even when it seemed nessassary.

Lucas shot into the woods, not to hit the Incubus but to warn him somewhat. " If I hated him then I would have shot, that was just to warn the asshole to stay away. " he said putting his gun away. " Now both of you had been told to stay inside so why the fuck did you come out ?!" he shouted at them. " What part of eat your fucking soul don't you understand ?! " he turned and made a fist as he tried to steady his breathing. " Okay I'm sorry I was so rash but I don't want either of you to get hurt and he will seduce you then eat your soul damning you straight to hell. " he turned back and shook his head. " These aren't human's and most of them aren't friendly , please you have to do as I say or you will get killed can you please just try to stay out of trouble. " he hung his head. " Brooklyn if you truley want to go after him go ahead but do not let him get anywhere if you do okay ?" he said looking at the woods.

She actually payed attention that time. His ranting only confirmed the fact that he was insane. He really thought that someone would eat their soul, whatever that meant, just because he has some sort of thing for wearing Halloween costumes year round? She wasn't going to go after him, though. He could come to her. After all, she was worth it, and way too good to go running after some guy in the forest. She wouldn't go in, though. Not unless he made her. She hated to sound like some sort of child, but he wasn't the boss of her.

Elatha quietly took the scolding. She didn't like being yelled at, in fact, she hated being yelled at especially by the ones she looked up to. Not even caring if her sister took off or if Lucas shot Donovan, Elatha slowly turned and shuffled towards the front door. Walking slowly up the stairs she entered her room and shut the door, locking it behind her. She had only wanted to make sure her sissy was okay. She didn't mean to do anything wrong, honest. In situations like these, Elatha had a tendency to become a child and took punishment to heart, trying to reason with herself in an immature manner and occasionally even crying, taking all her stress out on her faithful pillow. Elatha dragged herself to her bed and flopped onto it, shoving her head deep into her pillow and screaming. The muffled scream contained all her anger, her strife, her concern, her caring, her pain and every emotion she just need to let go off; letting it all out on her pillow which dampened the sound into nearly nothing.

Lucas was somewhat happy that Brooklyn wasn't moving towards the woods. Be went back in the house and sat at the large table in the dining room. He could hear Elatha's muffled scream and he put his head in his hands. He wasn't the best caregiver around and he knew it. It truley didn't help that they were in a town filled with monsters. He wanted to take back the screams but he knew he couldn't nor he could find the words to apologize to Elatha.

He stood up and walked downstairs. He went through but he didn't close the door all the way incase one of them needed something. He sat down and stared at the black moniter seeing himself. He saw someone who wasn't fit to take care of another human being. Someone who didn't care much about the world around him. He put his head in his hands and sulked. He tried to calm himself with the seclusion of the laboratory he called a basement.

"Lucas!?" Sumi yelled out as she walked into the house, keys jangling a little as they hung in the keyhole and swayed to and fro. "Are you okay? I could hear you yelling from a mile away..." she closed the door and locked it behind her, having seen the incubus run into the woods, she was a little concerned about what had happened whilst she was gone. "Have your cousins got here yet?" she asked, walking to the kitchen. "I got pizza and hot chocolate because that's what kids Always seem to like in the movies. I don't know if they actually like them or what, but you know whateve- Lucas, where are you?" Sumi put the bags on the counter in the kitchen and then folded her arms together. She was concerned, what if something had just happened and he was seriously wounded. Her tone got louder and a bit more worried. "Lucas? Are you okay? Lucas!?"

Lucas poked his head up at the sound of Sukkot shouting his name. He calmed himself then started to walk upstairs. She was always one to worry but it didn't bother him it was what kept him inside his limits, her constant worrying about him. He locked the basement back and walked up to see his assistant shouting. "Hey I'm fine don't worry and they're here and I was yelling becaus an Incubus has his sights set on the older one not sure where she is now though but Elatha is upstairs she is taking it surprisingly well Ill get her. " he walked upstairs calmly trying to think of something to calm down Elatha.

He made it to her room and knocked on her door lightly. "Elatha you okay in there. Uh, sorry about before Im just trying to keep you and your sister safe. Here can you come downstairs I want you to meet my assistant she's a bit curious about you as well. " he said tryng to calm her down but he wasn't entirety sure it would work.

Elatha looked up from her pillow, towards the door where she heard the knocking. "Elatha, you okay in there? Uh, sorry about before... I'm just trying to keep you and your sister safe. Here, can you come downstairs. I want you to meet my assistant; she's a bit curious about you as well." She was done crying now and wiped her eyes. It had been a long, hard day and did ned to unwind a little. "Okay," she called back, "I'm coming. Just give me a minute." Then she got up and changed into her PJs. She'd always have a weakness for cute PJs and these were light pink with yellow roses and lavander butterflies on a tanktop and shorts. They were really soft too, which she liked alot.

Leaving her room and switching off the lights, Elatha went right to the bathroom and washed her face. Her sister rarely gave her good advice, and most of it was on beauty, but once in a while she struck gold with Elatha. She remambered after a particularly bad cry, her sister told her "When you cry, because all girls cry, wash your face with water. It'll calm you down." Then she went on a rant about how awful it was to cry with makeup on and then about reapplying it afterwards, but Elatha took that advice to heart and had been following it ever since. Drying off her face, Elatha did feel much better and took a feel deep breathes before pulling her hair back into a loose ponytail and heading downstairs.

Sumi let out a long sigh when Lucas confirmed he was okay and calmed slightly. However at the next note of the incubus there for the reason of his cousin didn't exactly brighten her day. She frowned, filling the kettle with water and switching it on. She'd have to remember to go out tonight and see if she could sniff out the damned thing, maybe she'd get to use her chainsaw again... Although it was tempting, maybe not. She doubted that he would have any gold or silver on him, so using her other form should be just fine.

Sumi took off her jacket and hung it on a hook, letting her long white hair down and then letting out a gentle sigh. She felt nice and cool now, and it calmed her. Maybe these girls were t like Lucas. Lucas was serious faced but deep down just really considerate and caring. Not that she didn't hope that they were t considerate and caring, but perhaps they were more happy and cheerful. She smiled gently, hearing the floorboards of the stairs creak slightly from footsteps going down the staircase and livened up, smiling gently as she awaited the new face.

Elatha tiptoed down the stairs, trying to be inconspicous, but they squeaked alarming anyone what happened to be near of her presense, so she gave up and came down the stairs normally. She was feeling better after washing her face as it made her feel alot more calm. She was even more cheerful at the thought of someone new! Lucas had mentioned his assistant who was possibly as eager to meet Elatha was Elatha was to meet her. Although Lucas had neglected to mention his assistant's name... oh well! Elatha would find out soon enough.

Going down the stairs she stopped half way, peering into the living room, spotting another girl. She looked to be a little older than her sister with long, beautiful, pure white hair and kind looking smile. Elatha thoughts immedietely went to how pretty her hair would be if she could braid little, multi-colored beads into it; but Elatha had to set those triffe thoughts aside for now. She remained there for a moment, staring at the girl with her own large, innocent blue eyes. "Hello..." Elatha greeted quietly, her voice soft, "Are you Lucas' assistant?"

Sumi looked up to the young 12 year old, smiling at her shy voice and long dark blonde hair with a ribbon tied within it. She was a cute young thing, and she sounded just as shy as she once was. She'd broken out of her shell when she had to, but this one, well... It may have to come with this job Lucas was putting on her shoulders. It was a shame really...

"Oh, yes, I'm Lucas' assistant. One of them anyway." she said softly and with a smile as she made her way to the bottom of the staircase. "Hello. I'm Sumina. Though you can call me Sumi." she gave her a gentle nod of the head and then tilted her head up at the girl. "Are you Elatha?" she asked, wondering if she were the older one or the younger one. She'd heard the older one was closer to her age, so if this was Brooklyn, she looked incredibly young for her age.

"Hi Sumina..." Elatha watched as the girl with the white hair, Sumi, walked to the base of the stairs. She smiled a little bit bigger when Sumi guess her name right and nodded. "Yeah, I'm Elatha. Brooklyn is my big sister." In all honestly, Elatha wasn't normally very shy. She was completely out of her shell with her sister and her friends back home, but when it came to meeting new people she was a little shy. Once people got to know her thought Elatha was more than happy to open up and share her life with them.

Elatha's eyes examined Sumi's hair and she smiled a bit brighter. "You're hair is really pretty. I wish my hair was as pretty as yours." she said in a little more of a friendly, but still a quiet voice. Suddenly her smile faultered as an idea came through her mind. "Are you a human?" Elatha asked, eyeing Sumi with caution. Lucas obviously trusted Sumina enough to let her in and let her be his assistant, so Elatha sort of trusted her too. But she still wanted to know exactly who and what this new, potential friend was.

Brooklyn sat on the back porch, just staring into space. She didn't want to go inside, and she had been told she could follow Donovan if she wanted, so she didn't see what the trouble in just sitting there would be. The only problem was that just sitting there was boring. Oh well, she could deal with boredom as long as she didn't have to deal with Lucas making stupid rules and making up reasons why they had to follow them and acting like he was in charge of everything when she didn't have to listen to a thing he said.

Sumi smiled at the compliment about her hair, about to thank the girl for it before she came out with the next statement. "Are you a human?" Her face dropped a little, but she held on dearly to the kind smile, trying to not frighten the girl anymore than possible. "Uhm, not exactly. But I would hope that I wouldn't be classed as a monster either." she laughed quietly. "I'm a shapeshifter. I can shift into the form of a snow wolf. But don't worry, I don't go into that form unless I have to." Her smile grew slightly and she pushed some of her hair out of her eyes, before resting her hands on the front of her dress, glancing into the kitchen.

"Uhm, I bought some hot chocolate, cream and marshmallows for you guys. I heard that most humans like it." she shrugged a little. "I can only imagine the stress you've gotten from today. I mean, our town is a weird one." she laughed a little, and then tilted her head. "How are you feeling? I mean, I can understand if you're scared."

Elatha's small smile returned. "You're not a monster." she said, tilting her head slightly to the side, "You're... special." Then she came down the stairs all the way so that she stood infront of Sumi. "It's cool that you can be a wolf. I like wolves; they're nice to draw. Especially white wolves; they are very pretty." She offered a slightly brighter smile as Sumi said, "Uhm, I bought some hot chocolate, cream and marshmallows for you guys. I heard that most people like it." Elatha felt herself get excited. Sugar and sweets were two of her favorite things and she nodded with a big smile when Sumina offered them. "I can only imagine the stress you've gotten from today. I mean, our town is a weird one. How are you feeling? I mean, I can understand if you're scared." Elatha appriciated Sumi's caring nature and even laughed a little bit.

"Scared? Well, I can easily tell your town is a little... off." she said with a little giggle, "I mean, on the very first day of summer I've gotten my own gun, killed a vampire about my age, burned four bodies (one of which stood up and tried to eat me for a second time), meet an incubus who likes the nightsky and a shapeshifter who can turn into a snow wolf." Elatha laughed, "Your town is definitally strange, but it's not scary." Elatha was feeling much more open around Sumi. She liked having someone to talk to; someone who wanted to make sure she was feeling alright. It made Elatha feel more at home in this strange new place. Speaking of feeling good; "Um, could we go get that hot chocolate now?" she asked with a hopeful little smile.
