Despite not living in a time period that requires such brutality, Ichimaru is proficient with a blade. He can wield it as if it were an extension of himself, as if it had a mind of its own, and perhaps it does? He isn't one for flashy techniques, preferring to be up close in hand-to-hand combat or with his weapon. With his strength being augmented, it can be a bit difficult for anyone to survive his attacks, should he have the desire to kill. And to be honest, he does. The only thing that satiates him is the blood of his twin which serves as a sort of balm to him. Another skill of his is his ability to disappear. Not quite being invisible, but more-so something dedicated to the stealth arts, which should not be such an easy feat for someone of his stature and nature. Not much else is known about what he can do, and it is speculated that he possesses an unique ability that has yet to be showcased.

Ichimaru is not a pureblood in the normal senses. He was not born to pureblod parents, nor was he born at all. He was crafted in a laboratory, his genes spliced between the King's and a pureblood family thought to be extinct. As a result, he isn't quite normal and is extremely powerful compared to actual purebloods who have yet to take the cure. Ichimaru is also not his true name. He was the fifth specimen and the first to survive creation. His original name was just a number: Five. Ichimaru was given to him by his sibling, and in turn, he named her as well. They are nigh inseparable and can always be seen together. It is speculated that their relationship runs extremely deep - deeper than that of what is deemed romantically. This is, of course, false, but he does love her in the only way he can. He just doesn't see her in that kind of way. He also has a very peculiar scent, something reminiscent to cherry blossoms. Ryoka will often call him Sakura because of this. An odd result of what he is, Ichimaru does not have the ability to turn humans into vampires. If he were to bite someone, they would not fear the repercussions of falling into a mad state. He lacks the poison of a purebloods bite, however; he does seem immune to poisonous things, something that was noted when the scientists laced his source one night.

Sometimes, it is debatable whether or not Ichimaru actualy feels anything. He is stoic in his expressions, showing little to no emotions, and even the most skilled empath cannot detect where his feelings lay. The truth of the matter, though, is that Ichimaru doesn't know how to express himself. He grew up confined to a single room, and the only interactions he had were with the scientists and doctors who poked and prodded him. He feels no remorse for anyone, however; to say that he is completely void of emotions might be pushing the truth a bit too far. He is a very devote person towards anyone he feels an inkling of loyalty to, and so far he's only had that feeling with one person. He is a destructive force if he feels threatened, or if someone threatens the only thing he loves. There is nothing in the world that could stop him if he ever loses himself to this side.
But despite his callousness, Ichimaru can be somewhat sympathetic to others, give that they don't try to fuck him over by playing on that sympathy. He takes things a little seriously to the point that, when he speaks, it always sounds as if he's being sarcastic in some way. He is abrupt and blunt, never really holding his tongue no matter who is present. He even speaks to his twin in the same blunt tones, however; she is used to it and usually responds in the same dry tones. His manners are non-existent, and there is a blurred line between personal space, and his space. Basically, you have no personal space - it belongs to him. He is also known to be a bit more physical than most people.
He is imposing in his posture, intimidating in appearance, and overall what people expect of a villain. He can be, for sure, but their is also some restraint in his actions, as if he were capable of gentleness. He isn't, don't make that mistake, however; he does know the limitations of his own strength, and how to control it. His eyes convey a sort of lingering melancholy, though one would be hard-pressed to get the reason out of him. There are some things that are personal, even for him, and any one who tries to pry that information from him have been known to disappear. He is much too prideful in some instances, and can be a tad overwhelming when that pride is hurt. Of course, it isn't the kind of pride one thinks of, where he is filled with confidence and such. It is the kind of pride he has in a person.
This person is his pride and joy, the only source of happiness he has ever felt, and because of that, he can be extremely overprotective. Most people find overprotective older brothers to be endearing, however; Ichimaru is nothing like that. He is more of the overprotective lover; the overprotective father; and there is nothing that will stop him if he feels his Light is being taken from him or harmed in anyway. There is only one person he has ever respected enough to feel some sort of inclination towards, and it was the woman who raised his sibling and himself. She was a gentle woman, patient beyond compare, and she showed him something in this world that was worth preserving: love. He, of course, doesn't feel love in the same way as others, but there is no denying that Ichimaru is a destructive force to be reckoned with. A man with a mouth, no boundaries, and a temper comparable to an erupting volcano when provoked. Otherwise, Ichimaru can be fairly calm and easy-going with hints of something teasingly sarcastic.

Crafted and molded from the bottom of a vial, Ichimaru's existence was abnormal and unprecedented. With the war between hunters and vampires at its end, and the precious book of research in Hanabusa Aido's hands, Ichimaru was the first successful creation towards a cure for vampirism. What they had not anticipated, though, was the lack of control they had on him. As a young babe, wrapped in cloth and stamped with the number five, Ichimaru always had a bit of a temper. He'd destroy most rooms he was given, and most of the scientists had to neutralize him before they could interact with him. He was, essentially, a wild animal. There was one scientist, however, who could interact with the young child without fearing something would happen. Ichimaru was gentle with her, as if her very presence seemed to quell the beast itself. Kuragari Shiori was the name of this woman, and she was the closest thing Ichimaru had to a mother.
He had loved her in the only way he knew how to, and she had treated him as something more than just an experiment. He was her son, in some morbid way, and she did her best to provide a good structure for him. She even introduced him to his sibling, whom he knew as six, at the time. It was apparent that the two of them - though they were of completely different stock and results - would be bound to each other.
Ichimaru, however, spent most of his time inside of a room, being nothing more than an experiment to be poked and prodded at. He was the key to unlocking the next step towards perfecting the cure. This was the lie he had been told, though. The truth of the matter was, there were those who were trying to create something better than purebloods; something that would retain all their strengths, but have none of their weaknesses. Ichimaru was, essentially, a failure in that course. He was a pureblood, and his thirst was great. Nothing could satisfy him - not even the blood of his surrogate mother, who had volunteered to donate hers.
It wasn't until early adulthood that Ichimaru learned how to control his thirst. Being exposed to his siblings blood, however, did not make it easy for him to adjust. Her blood was alluring in a way the flames sing to the moth. He didn't give in to this craving, though, because he knew he could, essentially, kill her. That was the last thing he wanted to do, but something snapped in him that night. It is a night he has not permitted himself to forget.
The only thing he will share on that night is that he heard the scream of anguish coming from his sibling, the screams of protest of his mother, and the smell of her blood in the air. The following day, the laboratory they were crafted in was destroyed, and only the three of them remained. Shiori took both of them as far from the place they were created in the hopes to assimilate them into the world. She tried to teach them about how humans worked, how they were, essentially, a threat to everything around them. It took some time, but they eventually were able to live alongside the world, but it had been too late for Ichimaru. He was still nothing more than an animal who could be as dangerous as a tiger. The only thing that kept him, himself, was the blood of his sibling. It seemed to quell his thirst and to satisfy his beast.
But this peaceful existence of theirs would not last long. Shiori was still just a human, and she would not live forever like her surrogate children - and Ichimaru took her death hard. She had lived as long as her human life would spare her, and watching the frailty of those years burned Ichimaru. Before she passed, she told the both of them to give themselves names, something to be called other than five and six. They could not, but somehow, they managed to give names to each other. With this, Shiori was able to leave them her entire holdings and estate. She was from a well-off family despite being a scientist, and this would eventually grow further under Ichimaru and Ryoka. Too many years have passed - well over three centuries - from the time of Shiori's death and their assimilation into the world. They are now forgotten experiments in the chase for a cure, and it is something Ichimaru would prefer. After all, her blood holds an integral key to the completion of the cure. And he is not exactly going to share that with the world. He'd rather watch it burn, instead.
