Arian was awakened by numerous guards. "The king has work for you. Get up." She rose groggily, wondering what was in store for her. Pulling on her gown, she walked into the palace, ready to address the king. She always made sure to wear her best clothes while around him. It gave her more of a chance to get away with things like more food or money. She stopped to take a look in one of the mirrors which climbed the walls to the ceiling. Her icy hair curled down her back while a small silver band sat on her head. She had even managed to wear her dark cloak which symbolized her work for the king.

Walking into the throne room, she saw a table flipped over and servants running a-muck. Taking a deep breath, she calmly curtsied to the king and folded her hands in front of her. "Are my orders true? Must I search for these...these children who supposedly stand in your way?" She added just a hint of charm to her sentence, just enough to make the king notice her.

Arian heard the man come in. She looked over to him with curiosity and chuckled. Men, they can't do anything but stand around and look tough. He was already prepared to kill which surprised her, and seemed extremely loyal. He was a catch. She wasn't aware of other assassins besides herself but she also wasn't surprised at another person at the king's will. He probably had many killers she didn't know about. Thinking about this made her uneasy but also motivated her to do better. She needed the money and shelter which had been taken away from her, and sadly, the king seemed to be the only one who could provide her with exactly that.

Arian curtsied to the king before gliding away. She faced the other assassin and sighed, running her fingers through her hair. She smiled and curtsied again. "My name is Arian, sir." She reached for the map with gentle hands. "I wonder, may I see that please?" She looked him over again. He seemed like an assassin. She wondered if he even had a conscience...Arian herself tried not to think of all the people she killed, but out of habit, she also didn't try to know anything about the king or the people she was ordered to kill.

Arian placed her hands on her hips. What does he think he's doing? She quickly found her room and changed into her riding outfit. Strapping her swords to her back and assembling numerous daggers around her body, she strung her bow across her back and went to the stables.

After climbing onto her horse, she trotted around to the front of the castle and sighed. If she was to gain this man's trust, she might as well try not to coo him. "I am ready."

Arian nodded her head and followed behind the man. He seemed like the type of person who needed finding before giving themselves up. She figured this guy liked being ahead and she was going to let him. Where would her stubbornness get her anyway. She trotted up next to him and smiled. "Would you at least tell me where we are headed?" She wished she. Kyle see the map but understood his issues. She would let him see it of it were her, then again he seemed like a cold person, not really caring for anything but the job. Arian tried to be the same way, but it never worked for her.

Arian eyed Seriyth and chuckled. I am winning this little game of his... "Rorick? Yes, I have been there a few times." She tried to stop herself before releasing more for him to ponder. If he wasn't going to give her anything, why shouldn't she give him the same? She smiled though as he looked back at her. "You seem to know the way very well though. Have you been there before?" Arian knew conversation didn't really seem appealing to him but she wasn't going to just sit back and get sore while riding there. Conversation would pass the time. She played around with her horse's mane while waiting for his answer. She decided if he knew the area well, she wouldn't speak much about her past. Growing up in the same region, she hoped to never have to come back. Arian took a deep breath. This wasn't going to get in the way of her work.

Arian heard a rush of hooves coming up behind them. In one fluid movement, she had drawn her bow, arrow in hand, and was aiming directly toward the sound. "Who goes there?" She yelled as a few messengers turned the corner. You can never be too careful... She kept herself aimed at them as they spoke of more targets. Arian sighed and took the papers. She hated having a schedule, but the king was not one to be tampered with.

Arian found a nice inn that would suit her needs for the night. She grabbed her extra cloth, wrapping it gently around the weapons. Looking up to Seryith, she wondered what working with him would be like. She still hadn't found out his whole personality, which scared her, but she didn't need to know really. She was only with him for the work.

Sliding off her velvet cape, she made a big scene of carrying the weaponry when walking into the inn. Men swarmed to her side, grabbing the weapons, holding her cape, and even delivering baggage to her room. She smiled to the young girl who was finding a room for her. "My husband and I need somewhere to stay before my son's birthday. Oh and I'm sorry about all the weapons but it's his presents and I didn't want them to get stolen." The young lady just smiled and nodded, asking who Arian's husband was. Arian smiled grandly and waved to Seryith. "Jonathon darling! Come meet our young hostess." Arians smile was genuine but her eyes were fierce.

Arian sighed as she walked into the room she would be sharing with Seriyth. It was quaint enough with one bed and a bathroom. She decided it would do and paid the young girl for helping them around the small inn. Shedding her cloak, she looked out the small window onto the courtyard where food would be served and smiled. "Tonight should be the perfect time to search for the four."

She took out a comb her mother had given her and started braiding her icicle hair in front of the mirror, watching Seriyth and wondering what was going through his mind.

Arian had almost made her way back to Calor by the time the sun had completely set. Her bow and arrows were hanging over her shoulder, her daggers were strapped in between her thighs, and a medium sized sword sat in it's sheathe along her hip. She ran her fingers over the smooth engraving, "Never shall a lion rest." Her father had carved the words before her seventh birthday when she had begun to fight. Even through Calor's training, she still had the weapon.

She heard voices where she had been approaching. Talk of saving Calor made her cringe. She could care less about the stupid king, but he still had her under oath. She was a slave to the man who took her family.

Shaking her heard from long braids, Arian took off her cloak and loosened the fabric around her bust. Whoever they were, they couldn't be too hard to distract. If they didn't distract easily, she could still just kill them. Tieing her horse to a tree, she slid through the trees...

Arian approached a saddened boy. He stood crouched in a corner, with icy eyes. She was a little shocked at what sight was before her. She couldn't look like an assassin though. She had to stay relatively out of sight...

Walking up to him, she smiled as her motherly instincts began to show through. Wondering how dangerous he was, she focused on the parts of her body concealing weapons. She was set to go. Staying light on her feet, Arian grinned. "Excuse me...are you okay? I could always fetch someone..."

Arian hoped he wasn't one of the people she was suppose to kill. She wasn't suppose to get involved with people. She hated fighting and getting close to people wouldn't help her at all.

Arian was about to ask the child if he needed more assistance but decided against it when she heard some snaps behind her. Turning to see another icy eyed being, she chuckled a little. The girl had fallen on her face and even though Arian didn't approve of embarrassing others, she couldn't help but laugh.

Apparently the girl didn't take it lightly as she hoped. She tossed water to Arian's feet. Stumbling back in awe, she realized this girl was one of the four. Thumbing the dagger at her side, she observed the victim in front of her.

Connor was slowly coming out of the depressed, angry feeling he had aquired because of these people trying to relate to him. They could never hope to relate to him nor would they ever be able to comprehend the hell he has gone through. He thought about his mother again and how he thought this was all his fault. If he had never been born she wouldn't have tried to teach him about Earth magic and she wouldn't have been hung in the square as her only son watched in fear and horror.

He looked up, his face still coated in partial frost and then stood up and knocked the elf aside. His strength had doubled and always did when he was angry. He kicked the wall it cracking and vine pulling back which spurted his axe, the instincts he needed were back as he turned to the elf, rage and anger clear in his voice. "Leave me alone." he said then walked out with the weapon over his shoulder as if he had killed the creature.

He looked over and saw the woman and Meredith in combat but ignored them. He then saw the wind mage who thought he knew what made him that way. He stared him in the eyes and spoke with pure rage and darkness in his voice. "Go to Hell you sick son of a bitch." he then walked away from the cave hoping to get away from the madness of these idiots.

Arian watched the boy walk away. He was escaping, that was her mission, and it was getting away from her. Pulling a dagger from her waist, Arian thumbed the idea of killing him off. With one swing he could be dead. That was what she was suppose to do. So why couldn't she? Who knew why these kids needed to die anyway? Shaking her head to rid the conspiracy thoughts, she flung the knife toward the boy's leg.

In one swift motion, Arian twisted the girl's arm behind her and held a silver blade against her throat. "Why does the king want you dead?" Holding the knife tighter, her voice became louder. "I know I'm outnumbered, but I could still take each of you down. Just tell me now, and i'll let you go." She knew it was a stupid request, but she needed to know.

Arion nodded and stood up, letting Connor do as he pleased. Try as he might, it was obvious that he couldn't control these hormone fueled teenagers. The best he could do was try to guide them and keep them from killing each other or themselves. It was better said than done though. The elf looked at Cassandra and motioned towards the entrance of the cave. "Shall we?" Without waiting for a reply he headed outside, only to find that the three had gotten themselves into another mess. What was wrong with these kids? Arion could never remember being so rowdy or angry during his childhood, and given that he wasn't a very old elf he should remember his childhood in vivid detail.

Connor was leaving the area, which was the least of his worries at the moment. Meredith was currently being held hostage by somebody who was surely one of the king's assassins. She beautiful and graceful, but also deadly. Her ultimate motives were hard to tell, but for now she seemed to be content with knowing what she was killing for. "Why does the king want you alive?" he replied to the girl, grinning a bit. He motioned for Meredith to stay where she was and not try anything. It would be no help to have one of the Four dead. It defeated the purpose of being the Four, fulfilling the prophecy, and destroying the King. "We could ask a number of questions now couldn't we, Miss? What interest are these children to you? I see that they're rather foolish, but really- must we solve the problem of today's youth by killing them off on command of a self declared king?" He chuckled a bit and looked beyond her at Connor's silhouette, then at Naveah. His eyes settled back on the female. "In all seriousness though, I must ask why you don't know such a thing."
