Connor growled listening. Even though his words sounded genuine. It was the last few words that boiled his insides.

"Connor, take that which you think is "evil" and embrace it. Frost magic is not evil. I used to think the same thing about my magic. I used to think that it was so destructive and wild, that nothing could tame a raging tornado, but I was wrong. Embrace the inner you. It is then that you will be complete. That is all that I have to say."

"Not evil, not evil?" he repeated it softly but he was angry. "Ice may not be evil but the people who use it are. Those people defilied my mother. They made me. They gave me THESE DAMN HAIRS!!!" he screamed and ice caked over the ground. "FUck you you don't get what hell I've been through and you never will. " he shouted then huddled in the corner partially cry. He crouched in a ball turned away from the others. He sobbed ice crystals falling out of his eyes and shattering on the ground. The ice spread against the ground slowly creeping against the rest of the floor and walls.

The elf had not uttered a prayer since he'd left his home, as he had little time for any sort of religion. But now, he was praying to whatever gods and goddesses there might be to save him from going insane. His patience was being tested at this point and wearing thin. He had not been around people very much for the past few years and he was beginning to see why. These teenagers were a mess! Doubt flooded his mind and he wondered if he'd made a mistake. If he had, then he would solely be responsible for the entire destruction of Calor and its loss of hope. He would rather have that fall on somebody else.

Snapping out of his thoughts, he found Naveah had already left. He would be able to take care of himself. Turning to Connor, he was unsure of whether to scold him or comfort him. He was no parent figure and was not sure if he could be one to the Four. You have prepared for this, Arion... You cannot fail. It is your duty to help them, he reminded himself, closing his eyes.

"Connor, I would prefer if you didn't use such harsh words," he said simply as he knelt to the ground and began to warm it. He motioned for Cassandra and Meredith to come out of hiding so to speak and join them in the large main corridor. "Would anybody like something to eat?" he asked calmly.

He was unaware of any disturbance outside. His attention was focused on the remaining three and not on the slight change in energy or sounds near by.

Arian approached a saddened boy. He stood crouched in a corner, with icy eyes. She was a little shocked at what sight was before her. She couldn't look like an assassin though. She had to stay relatively out of sight...

Walking up to him, she smiled as her motherly instincts began to show through. Wondering how dangerous he was, she focused on the parts of her body concealing weapons. She was set to go. Staying light on her feet, Arian grinned. "Excuse me...are you okay? I could always fetch someone..."

Arian hoped he wasn't one of the people she was suppose to kill. She wasn't suppose to get involved with people. She hated fighting and getting close to people wouldn't help her at all.

Meredith felt a underground movement of water that was not familiar. It was not a mage or an elf... a human? She crept from where she was hiding to see Connor crouched on the ground and a very pretty woman that seemed to be enveloped in shadows. She crept around to get a better look at the woman when she tripped on a root and fell flat on her face. Nice job Mer, she thought, way to be sneaky. She picked herself up and felt both Connor and the woman staring at her. Suddenly, her eye caught something flash near the womans waist. She had a weapon! Meredith took the offensive road and shot a burst of water at the womans feet. Hopefully it would cause her to trip or at least falter.

ooc: the boy was connor right, if not then oops.

Arian was about to ask the child if he needed more assistance but decided against it when she heard some snaps behind her. Turning to see another icy eyed being, she chuckled a little. The girl had fallen on her face and even though Arian didn't approve of embarrassing others, she couldn't help but laugh.

Apparently the girl didn't take it lightly as she hoped. She tossed water to Arian's feet. Stumbling back in awe, she realized this girl was one of the four. Thumbing the dagger at her side, she observed the victim in front of her.

{OOC: It's Naveah that's outside- Connor is curled up crying in the corner.}

Arion facepalmed as soon half of the Four had left, leaving him with an emotionally distraught Connor and probably awkward feeling Cassandra. Well, this situation couldn't possibly get worse now could it? Too busy with trying to figure out what to do, the elf did not sense the added presence of the assassin within the general vicinity, instead trying to figure out how one comforted a delicate human. Elves, though known for their bravery and loyalty ultimately were not experienced with softer emotions such as love and sadness. This left the poor elf at a loss of what to do now.

He knelt to the frozen ground and began to defrost it, diverting the cold energy it shot off into heat so that it seemingly attacked itself, leaving only a small area around Connor left frozen. Arion approached the teen and sat down beside him, still unsure of what he was supposed to do. Was he supposed to tell him it was alright? Or would that just make him angry again? Confusion was clear on his face and so he simply sat there to wait for Connor to calm down a bit.

Connor was slowly coming out of the depressed, angry feeling he had aquired because of these people trying to relate to him. They could never hope to relate to him nor would they ever be able to comprehend the hell he has gone through. He thought about his mother again and how he thought this was all his fault. If he had never been born she wouldn't have tried to teach him about Earth magic and she wouldn't have been hung in the square as her only son watched in fear and horror.

He looked up, his face still coated in partial frost and then stood up and knocked the elf aside. His strength had doubled and always did when he was angry. He kicked the wall it cracking and vine pulling back which spurted his axe, the instincts he needed were back as he turned to the elf, rage and anger clear in his voice. "Leave me alone." he said then walked out with the weapon over his shoulder as if he had killed the creature.

He looked over and saw the woman and Meredith in combat but ignored them. He then saw the wind mage who thought he knew what made him that way. He stared him in the eyes and spoke with pure rage and darkness in his voice. "Go to Hell you sick son of a bitch." he then walked away from the cave hoping to get away from the madness of these idiots.

Arian watched the boy walk away. He was escaping, that was her mission, and it was getting away from her. Pulling a dagger from her waist, Arian thumbed the idea of killing him off. With one swing he could be dead. That was what she was suppose to do. So why couldn't she? Who knew why these kids needed to die anyway? Shaking her head to rid the conspiracy thoughts, she flung the knife toward the boy's leg.

In one swift motion, Arian twisted the girl's arm behind her and held a silver blade against her throat. "Why does the king want you dead?" Holding the knife tighter, her voice became louder. "I know I'm outnumbered, but I could still take each of you down. Just tell me now, and i'll let you go." She knew it was a stupid request, but she needed to know.

Arion nodded and stood up, letting Connor do as he pleased. Try as he might, it was obvious that he couldn't control these hormone fueled teenagers. The best he could do was try to guide them and keep them from killing each other or themselves. It was better said than done though. The elf looked at Cassandra and motioned towards the entrance of the cave. "Shall we?" Without waiting for a reply he headed outside, only to find that the three had gotten themselves into another mess. What was wrong with these kids? Arion could never remember being so rowdy or angry during his childhood, and given that he wasn't a very old elf he should remember his childhood in vivid detail.

Connor was leaving the area, which was the least of his worries at the moment. Meredith was currently being held hostage by somebody who was surely one of the king's assassins. She beautiful and graceful, but also deadly. Her ultimate motives were hard to tell, but for now she seemed to be content with knowing what she was killing for. "Why does the king want you alive?" he replied to the girl, grinning a bit. He motioned for Meredith to stay where she was and not try anything. It would be no help to have one of the Four dead. It defeated the purpose of being the Four, fulfilling the prophecy, and destroying the King. "We could ask a number of questions now couldn't we, Miss? What interest are these children to you? I see that they're rather foolish, but really- must we solve the problem of today's youth by killing them off on command of a self declared king?" He chuckled a bit and looked beyond her at Connor's silhouette, then at Naveah. His eyes settled back on the female. "In all seriousness though, I must ask why you don't know such a thing."
