Nitha

What do?

0 · 645 views · located in The land of Thaiden

a character in “The Guilded Cage: Slaves in need”, as played by PixieCP

Description

Name: Naga (Nobody has been able to ask her proper name, Nitha, yet)

Age: Uncertain, young but sexually mature if her upper half is any indication.

Gender: Female

Classification: Slave, Black collar

Race: Naga (Snake human hybrid)

Physical Description:
Nitha is quite small for a naga, her entire tail length being only five meters while her torso suggests that if she were human she'd be only 5 feet tall. Most naga are significantly larger and longer than her. The only thing human about her is the arrangement of her body from the 'waist' up and her diet. Nitha's skin is deep bronze, with mottled black patterns on her tail, back and down the backs of her arms. She also has wide, winging marks that sweep across her bright yellow eyes from her very flat nose. Nitha's jaw is not reticulated, only being able to open as far as a human's. Her teeth are only as sharp as a humans, and as a naga from far distant lands, she doesn't even have poison. Nitha doesn't have hair at all, not even eyelashes, instead having numerous elongated tails that approximate scalp hair in most humanoids and a third eye lid. Her eyes however are disturbingly human in the midst of her very thin lips and elongated head. Nitha does have breasts, but they are rather flat at the time of the roleplay's start as she has lost a dreadful amount of weight with the stress of capture. Not having sweat glands, Nitha is also vulnerable to extreme heat, usually solved by lounging in water.

http://arkiel-pixie.deviantart.com/art/Nitha-365056707

Personality: Nitha is somewhat timid, though she is also very sensible. Even if given an opportunity to escape, she will evaluate it and consider: how likely is this to succeed? Sure, I could escape the cell. But the guards, the Loft, the mountain? Even then, which way is home? How far is it, how hard would they search for her, how likely are people to dob her in, what would she even eat? Because of this, Nitha is quite malleable because she can see the sense of submitting. She is presently extremely skittish, jumping at loud noises, sudden appearances, etc. This can have the unintended effect of her coils accidentally crushing whatever they're holding. She also currently tries to hide from anyone who is dominant or aggressive. Nitha is fairly quiet, though also surprisingly friendly given what most people know of Naga.

Likes: Fluffy things, things with fur or down as it's not a common texture.
Music, she particularly likes woodwinds and drums
Fruit
Contact
Children/babies/young anything

Dislikes:
Sharp contact
Aggressive behavior, she even avoids doing it herself
Loud, harsh noises.
Cold

History: Although people don't realise it, Nitha left behind a very large, varied circle of acquaintances, although none she was particularly close to. The Naga from her area don't lay store by family ties, as those can't be helped, but instead by forged ties of acquaintance. Nitha was picked up quite by accident, by a party which was actually hunting exotic game in far away jungles. Nitha had fallen down a small cliff so was stunned and very easily caged. This was the first time in her existence that she had ever been contained and she did not handle the experience well. It didn't help that the game hunters weren't used to dealing with sentient beings and didn't even know what to feed her, so chucked her a bit of everything, from raw meat to cookies. This combination of poor diet and sky high stress means that Nitha has lost a nigh dangerous amount of weight. Not sure what to do with her, the game hunters sold her to Raven Loft, figuring that if anyone could figure out a use for her, it was them.
Nitha doesn't understand many of the concepts surrounding her, including slavery. She hasn't got the first clue why she's at Raven Loft, why the other people are there, what the funny necklaces are for, (She's guessing personality) or why people use utensils, although bowls and cups she totally understands. She knows about bathing and longs for it, but doesn't know about soap. Nitha doesn't understand writing, and can't speak the language used at Raven Loft. Nitha wears clothes, but considered them decoration rather than necessity and doesn't understand the taboo on nakedness. However her view on them as necessary has certainly changed with her arrival in Raven Loft's considerably colder climate.

Former masters & training: Absolutely none, she's completely unbroken and doesn't even know what a slave is, much less how to be one.

So begins...

Two New Arrivals

The morning had just begun for some as the waves of morning light tried to break through the remaining storm clouds overhead and while it was to no avail the land below had grown quiet. While the last few days have been treated to grizzly acts from the weather of late it is now that the light is winning and the wind was dying.
The form loaded into a pared carriage were being made to move towards the hall of Raven Loft, while the weather had lessened it still left its mark after all the days of rain and wind. Tree's bent towards the ground and mud caked against the wheels of the carriage made going through the normal routes uneasy. So it was that this transport made its way through higher roads to avoid such waste.

It appears that the carriage making its way up the road towards Raven Loft was lost in the storm and now it was finally on its right track towards the building. When the transport finally stopped the body within was being examined by the guards and two were taken off when they saw the one inside. A large reptilian body was stored in the main cage and while her hands were bound behind her, the tail end of her large body was tucked against itself and clasped together with large irons to keep her from bringing her tail to full length.
One of the guards who just stood there in his leathers and steel helmet, scratched his neck with a thought of what to do with the late arrivals. He didn't recall if he should hold her there for the master to arrive or bring her into the main hall.

It was then that he buckled and decided to have her unloaded and brought into the main hall as was the custom for all new arrivals, however he was not sure how Kenner would react to such a later addition.

The rather thin Naga was lifted from her cage and made to slide lazyly on the floor as her tail could not unwind the whole length. The guards however did not want her to try anything so they kept in step with her as the first lead her into the hall and there was Kenner speaking with Mistress Taegen.
He could see them from the corner of his eye and turned to look at the young Naga, he gave her a slight smile from over his lips as they approached.

Kenner

Kenner gave Teagen a warm greeting as well as he could and then it was that he saw Kaede from the edge of the hall coming towards them. The man was quite younger then he thought, but then again Kenner has had dealings with his house in the past and with his predecessors so with all the times everything must change.
The young prince was eloquent as his father and maybe more so, but his honeyed words towards Teagan showed he was just as much a womanizer as his grandfather. Kenner chuckled behind his teeth for a moment and gave the prince a quick bow as was his custom for royalty. Though miss Teagen was one of his best clients he was not going to betray his own set workings. The prince finishes approaching the two and stands before them to present himself.

This was a rather opportune time for them to arrive seeing as they would be able to get situated into their own quarters before noon and that would allow them to get fully settled.

"Well Prince Kaede it is good to see that you are doing well and may I extend a full welcome from Raven Loft" He gives a quick motion towards Mistress Taegan. "This is Mistress Taegan Holmes, she is one of the other masters that will be spending her time here to acquire a slave for herself." He looks out towards the opening from where Kaede came and speaks lightly.
Strange I was expecting another this day, maybe she isn't as early" His eyes catch a view that is not quite in his liking, several guards are hoisting a slave along the way in the corridor and then in a moment the slave tries to break free. Kenner can see from there that she is a Naga of a much different breed then he's seen before. Kenner restrains himself from running out to see what the guards are doing and turns to face the two masters.
"It appears that duty has begun calling so early in the day, so I ask that you let this guard.." which is when he snaps and finger and one of the stairway guards quickly trots out to stand at his side. "Pan here will lead you both up to your rooms on the penthouse ring and both of you can take which fits your needs and I trust both of you will be satisfied with the choices" Kenner takes another slight bow toward the two and steps away being as calm as he can with a wicked look in his eye. It isn't until bot Kaede and Taegan have disappeared up the stairs that he breaks his stride and breaches the hallway to see the guards crowded around the Naga trying to coax her up off the floor.

Kenner slides up behind them and he swats one on the side of the head slightly to get his attention, the guard turns around with a rather pissed look in his eye until he see's that it is in fact Kenner that did the act. There was a look in his face that meant he almost soiled himself at the revelation and with that all the guards straightened up in attention in front of Kenner effectively dropping the Naga.
"Anything I should know because I don't think you can slide this one under the rug like a dropped pork chop." He barely raises his voice at the men, but still the portrayal that he is angered at them is enough to make them more then a little nervous. He kneels at the naga on the floor, her heavy but thin form wheezing and drawing breath with an almost pained expression. Kenner snaps the pin connecting her wrist irons with his hands and lifts her up, he dirty body transferring the contents of her cage onto the front of his robes and stomach.

"With how well I pay you to do your job, I would expect you to know the difference between hot and cold blooded." He carries her closer to the brazier at the end of the hall and lays her down only a few feet from the flames before turning towards the same guard from before.."Bring some towels to dry her off and get someone from the kitchen.." He turns her head to look into her eyes and places his hands along her neck and rubs down towards her stomach "Tell them to bring chicken broth, enough for six me." The guard gives a dazed stare for a moment before Kenne stares he down again. "I don't recall stuttering" The guard nods before running off with another in tow as to finish the work faster.

As if on cue for more trouble a guard came sauntering down the hall from the front gate and approached Kenner.. "Apologies on interrupting you sir, but Mistress Syntira has arrived and she says your expecting her" Kenner almost sighs with frustration, but at this point he was rather expecting this to happen. It only takes him a moment before he decides what to do as he looks back at the guard.
"Go and escort Miss Syntia to the upper ring and let he choose a penthouse.. oh and make sure to tell her that I apologize for not being able to meet her under these circumstances. Just make sure to inform her as well as Prince Kaede and Mistress Teagen that I would like to invite them to mid day meal in the dinning hall and make sure to have the guards collect them when the time comes." Not needing to be retold the guard understands his orders and gives a hearty clack of his heels before running off towards the front gate.

He looks down at the Naga in his hands and see's that her eyes are still rather lucid for the time being, he gives her a slight rub on the side of the cheek and gains eye contact with her. "So.. do you even have a name? Can you even speak?"

Pesshka slightly gets agitated with whats transpiring in the cells, the angel is growing a mouth on her and the werehyena has begun to grow on Pesshka's nerves. The repeated slamming of her large form into the bars resounded throughout the entirety of the room. Pesshka only took several glances at the two before he could also see that the wolf hybrid was beginning to act up as well. Snarling and cutting his eyes towards her, this did not entirely bother Peeshka seeing as she had been the target of such things before. But it was the Angel that got such a atitude that really did it.

Pesshka looked at the three in her view and stepped back from Naamah's cell placing her hand upon her mask while speaking.. ~Let me teach you something my little fallen bird..~ She then gave a small twist and her mask popped of with a click of small hinges and she lowered that hand revealing that there was nothing being the mask. Just a pitch black surface that did not even bare the form of a face.
Then with a quick motion Peeshka lurched forward pointing her face towards the floor letting out a thick wave of black fluid. The oozing mass began to creep along the floors of the entire ward and crawled with a life of its own towards the reaches of the room. As the liquid entered Namaah's, Nix's and Bloodsong's cells as a mass of limbs jutted out from within, the three were quickly pinned to the ceiling of their separate cages as the forms of people began to arise out of the ooze as well. Faces and other limbs were starting to make appearances in front of the slave, each bearing gnashing teeth and lapping tongues with voices following shortly behind.

One form that broke through was rather feminine in shape and prodded outwards in front of Namaah. It bore a woman's face but also bore vastly skeletal features as it spoke with the torrent of voices. ~It is far easier to fall from heaven then it is to claw your way up from hell.. so do not speak to me of turmoil." the face gave a sickly smile then ~But it is good that you have kept your pride.. you will need that strength in the days to come.~ and then strangely all of the hands release and the three are dropped against the floor as all the dark ooze is pulled violently back across the floor and up into the vessel from which it came. Moving so much mass that the head and neck of Pesshka's body was distorted to let the fluid back in.

With the mass back inside and the voices silenced she twisted her neck slightly, letting a small pop of bone out before she replaces her mask and then begins to skip off around the cells and out the door.

Kenner

Kenner holds the young Naga's hand as she reaches for him and he realizes that she must not be completely aware of her situation or her surroundings. He can hear her mention something under her breath or it was just the fact that she was so weak that she could not muster the strength to really act on her whim.
She asked him if he knew her name, he could not answer her too well seeing as she was rather still weak for her state and he decided to take her up in his arms again. Kenner turned towards the last two remaining guards and speaks with his authority.. "I want you to go get the others that were going to get the food and tell them to bring it to the cells.. now" He does his best to balance her form in his arms, he makes his way with the Naga held fast against his body. A dull knocking sound resounding in the back of his ears.. "Get that.." He said as he passed by another guard.

Peeshka passes him and see's the load he carries..~Well.. I see the holders were neglectful to this one..should I..~ He does not give her the option to ask her question before he gives her an assertive shake of his head. The act does not harm her feelings but it does take her back a moment when she see's how he is treating the slave.

Within short order he was walking into the holding area with his new acquisition in hand, the other slaves were slightly riled from earlier. However Kenner did not have any idea of what Pesshka had done or what had transpired between her and the other slaves. Kenner looks at the cells and tries to decided where to put the Naga, even though a new cell would need to be made for her convenience. She needed warmth and space and the cell would have to keep her from getting out so it was that Kenner decided to make the alterations himself.

Kenner lays the young girl on the cobblestone floor off from the center of the room.

While he moves away from her Kenner makes sure to rest her arms on her side and turns to leave her for just a moment. While he is not one to really get so attached to a slave like this, it is a rather strong feeling for him when a slave is mistreated as such and it was that thought that drove him to carry her like this.
Kenner takes a knee near the center of the room and set both hands palm to palm in front of his chest, he breath slightly and as if responding the air in the room becomes still with his motionless state. For a moment Kenner looks over towards the slaves and glances back between the three sets of cages before moving again.

He presses his hands against the floor and in an instant the room is filled with a warm sensation and a low glow of light escaping from the floor. The light began to move away and take shape from the cobblestone as it reshaped and moved, splitting and widening on its edges growing ever wider. Eventually the glowing subsided and now in the center of the area stood a single cell with bars of its own.
The cell was however different from the rest with crossbars going around it making narrow squares instead of the regular vertical bars. The inside is devoid of much that the others have save for a elevated circular black stone.

Kenner grabs a section of the bars and gives a hearty pull which makes the section pop free on a hinge like a normal door. He returns to the Naga's side and gathers her up once again, carrying her inside and placing her on the stone slab which to her surprise is heated. He situates her as well as he can, finally removing the iron clasp that binds the two sections of her tail. Three guards arrive not long after he had stood to look her over, each bearing two bowls of broth like he instructed. They lay the bowls in front of her and are beginning to vacate from the cage when Kenner speaks.. "I see you handling another slave like this and I'll send you all below." The guards give a grim look and a small look of panic comes across their faces as they salute and return to leaving.

He places a hand on his head, not really knowing what to do if the rest of the day continues like this.

* * * *

The guard opened the door and looked to see Mistress Eavia.
He gave a quick bow of his head and proclaimed.. "I must apologize my lady but Master Kenner is rather indisposed at the moment." He looked towards Kenners direction heading into the holding area and decides to act as best he can.

"May I ask for you to wait in the main hall, he should be just a few minutes."
It was then that he saw Pesshka still standing at the end of the stairs with her hand on her waist looking towards the holding area as well. She seemed to be waiting for something as well and only held her hand on the side of her mask adjusting it slightly from earlier.

The guard rather wherry of his options trots up next to her and gets her attention.."Miss Pesshka.. This woman has just arrived, I believe she is one of the new masters."
Pesshka looks over his shoulder as see's Mistress Eavia staring back through the door and recognizes her from the information that Kenner had received prior.

~Ah yes, Mistress Eavia.. come in please..~
She says with a beckoning wave of her hand.

"A Penthouse?" Syn stood baffled for a few moments. She hadn't planned on staying at the Raven Loft, but she wouldn't dare be rude enough to deny his generous offer. "Can't I see the little darlings first? What if they have a favorite color? I might have to accommodate their tastes in my decision." The soldiers seemed to be just as stubborn as she, but she could tell they were acting more on fear than simple respect of their Lord. Inhaling slowly, Syntira crossed her arms. One of her eyebrows raised, and the slits in her eyes seemed to thin. "I assure you, whatever Penthouse I am left with will be fine. I am not very picky when it comes to my housing. Trust me, my kind live in caves."

"I am sorry, Miss, but we have our orders." One of the bolder guards spoke up. Sighing, Syn decided that it was best to not cause trouble just upon her arrival. "Fine... Take me to the rooms. I assure you, we'll be back down here in a few moments." The Dragonkin was lead down a narrow corridor then up a few flights of stairs. When she reached the floor that held the penthouses, a smile immediately spread over her face. "My my... Your Lord certainly knows how to treat customers." She cooed, running her fingers along one of the wall decorations.

"He will be pleased to hear that, Mistress. Master Kenner took careful preparations to ensure the happiness and comfort of all those staying with us. Now, how about this room?" Syntira was ushered into a room and her jaw dropped. Floral decorations hung everywhere; ranging in color from fuchsias and lavenders to roses and violets. It was... Not her type.

"This room won't do. It's too... Human." Syn shook her head and made a "shooing" gesture with her arms. The man looked at her confused for a moment, before clearing his throat and piping up. "Right, Dragonkin. Being a Master and having interacted with many species, Master Kenner has rooms for peop-... For your kind." The Dragonkin flashed him a wicked smile, and he turned swiftly and led her down the lobby-looking room. Another door opened and her smile instantly widened. Black silk adorned the gorgeous king bed with silver lining. Black and silver seemed to be the theme of the room, along with the choice fabric of silk. She walked through the room, running her fingers along the furniture happily. About 10 feet from the foot of her bed stood a fireplace-something very important for a reptilian species like herself. The room was perfect.

"Miss, we have also been instructed to tell you of a mid-day lunch with the Master. We will inform you of when you are to come dow-"
"Downstairs? I'm planning on making a trip there already. I told you I wanted to see the little beasties Master Kenner has, and trust me, if I miss out on them because of you sweeping me around this place no one will be happy." Her face fell for a few moments after the last words, staring into the guard's eyes. Just before the man finally breathed again, she smiled and cocked her head to the side. "Now, make sure that fire is running and we'll be alright. Well, shall we?"

Led by a few soldiers, Syntira hurried down the stairs that the Prince had just wandered up. They passed briefly, just enough for Syn to make eye contact with both Kaede and Teagen before continuing with determination. The guards exchanged wary looks before leading her down the hallway towards the room containing the prized merchandise, just as Eavia had stepped out.

"Master Kenner?" She called into the room. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything-" Syntria stopped when her eyes fell upon a small boy towards the back of the room. He had white ears with a matching white tail, and her eyes didn't move from his figure. He was the first Neko she had seen this close, and she was immediately drawn to him. She smiled warmly, not knowing if the boy was watching her or not. Next her eyes scanned and locked on the next Neko she saw, a canine-like boy with a red stripe across his face. He was growling in the corner, and she was concerned of what had upset him so. Scenting the air, Syntira's attention turned again. A... Hyena? Such a thing of beauty... The Dragonkin thought to herself. She wanted to get a closer look at all the species, but her attention was immediately drawn to the Nekos and the Werehyena.

"I'm sorry Lord Kenner, she insisted. We will take her back if that is what you-" The man was silenced by a harsh reptilian glare shot at the man. A couple moments passed before she relaxed her gaze.
"Master Kenner, may I have a closer look? " Only then did the Mistress turn to the newly identified Master Kenner, noticing him walking away from a beautiful Naga. She smiled, Dragonkin and Nagas were close species. She couldn't wait to communicate with her later. Noticing the Lord's head in his hand, she swiftly traveled across the room, laying a comforting arm on his shoulder.

"Master Kenner, is everything alright?"

Up she was scooped again, though now he seemed to be preparing to take her a good ways further, attempting to get a better hold on her. If she'd not been so drained, she would have at least hooked her trunk around him so that he wouldn't be in such danger of falling over her tail. Nitha listened to his heart beat, strong and regular as he carried her. He must be a strong one, able to lift her alone. When she was in the cage, she'd noticed that they had only been able to lift her with four adults straining. Nitha then remembered something and pulled back the sides of her mouth, slowly breathing in and dragging the air over her tongue. Yep, Male. Very definately male, somewhat stressed. As she was scenting him, they passed another who scent was.... Nitha didn't even know how to describe it. It was the strangest, most alien thing. She turned her head, feeling more energetic after the heat of both the fire and the body carrying her, to see the source. It spoke to the one carrying her, and Nitha simply eyeballed it until they passed her. Nitha kept drawing air in, attempting to divine more about the bizarre individual before they entered another room where she promptly shut her mouth and breathed through her nose, where she didn't have any scent glands.

So. Many. So. Strong. She could scent at least four or five distinct species, even before she bothered to figure out genders.

Placed on the floor again, Nitha smiled softly as she was arranged with the intent to cause more comfort. She slowly rolled her torso onto its stomach, easily resting her protuding chin on her arms as her eyes looked everywhere, feeling the vibrations. She barely recognised any of them, though a couple were human, two were felines. She knew them, at least, even though they and the Naga mostly practised politely ignoring each other. One was a beast and that confused her. Wasn't this a place for sentient beings? She'd yet to see an animal in this state.

Then the air changed and Nitha's eyes shot to the source, the man. She curled up as much as she could manage, eyes staring at him without blinking, the third eyelid down. He had the gift! He was gods touched! Was that why he was so understanding? Had she offended, touching him without the proper rites?

Slowly he shaped the ground about them, the rocks coming up and becoming metal until there was another cage, like the others were in but slightly different to any cage she had yet seen. It was also clean. Then he popped it open, which surprised her as there was no lock. All of her previous ones had locks. Nitha felt a dull glow of disappointment. So even he was going to confine her again. No water to bathe in, no trees to climb, no rocks to sun on. Still no food to eat. She flopped when he moved her again, utterly unhelpful as her head and arms lolled. Then he placed her on the black rock and she immediately perked up. It was warm! Hot even, as hot as sunshine! As he coiled her on it, tender as any hatchling's keeper, she couldn't help breaking into a huge smile. She'd be patting him if it were allowed.

Then the others returned, bearing with them bowls. They were placed in front of her and Nitha's eyes bugged. She rolled off her side and onto her tummy, not even caring that a coil of her tail fell off the heated stone or that her hands were dirty. Poking her nose at the bowls, she scented them eagerly. Birdflesh! Soup! Hot! Without much finesse, Nitha slipped her tongue out and licked at the broth, just cool enough to drink. She then dipped her mouth into it, sucking it up straight from the bowl and then using her hands to tip it when the liquid got to half drunk. Done with one bowl, she placed it to the side and sucked up the next one, stacking it with the empty bowl. Nitha then paused for a moment to digest, the first burning edge removed from her hunger and her brain rebooting after the extra warmth. Her eyes fixed on the retreating magician, feeling a slight twist of disappointment at his departure. But this was his den. He'd be around, wouldn't he? She slowly supped at the next bowl, savouring the long draughts as she watched a woman approach him, laying a hand on his shoulders and speaking to him lowly. Was she his heart-mate? Nitha wondered. Did humans even have them? She knew they mated, she'd seen their young. But she didn't know if they were capable of an emotional bond. Finished with her third bowl, she moved to her fourth, unblinking eyes still watching.

Sometimes, people claimed Naga had a sixth sense. This was not in anyway true except for the very few and far between who legitimately possessed that gift. Instead, they were hyper aware to small changes in their surroundings. The ambient temperature, the vibrations of the ground, the hum of somebody's breath through their body and the faintest traces of perfume and pheromones. When a Naga was alert or suspicious, it was nearly impossible to sneak up on them. And so it was that Nitha realised the sudden change in air possibly before anybody else realised something was happening. Nitha immediately froze, flattening herself against her warmer, stilling in her drinking with a mouthful still on her tongue.

She wasn't stupid. This creature had already carried her with little concern for her weight, only her mass. He was strong, and she was a runt for her kind. She might be bigger than him now, but it looked like he could easily change that. So Nitha didn't try to be strong, or big, or brave. Instead she threw out every bit of Naga body language to say 'don't mind me, just ignore me, I'm small, I'm hiding, you're bigger and badder, I'm not worth bothering with.' If he looked at her she'd close her eyes to reinforce the message.

That was certainly not his mate of any description. She'd yet to see anything react that way to something. However after a moment the overwhelming presence in the air faded and Nitha swallowed her mouthful, continuing with her steady eating although keeping her flattened posture. The beast that had been so loud finally became a registered presence in Nitha's mind as it flung itself with ungodly noise against the bars of its cage. Nitha jumped and scowled as a bit of broth spilled out of her bowl and on to her hand. At any other time she would have licked it off, but her hands were filthy. She turned her head to look over her right shoulder, staring at the thing that was insisting on throwing itself against the bars again and again. Nitha blinked and one thought crossed her mind. Stupid. In fact, not just stupid, but Stupid. It seemed to think that its flesh would somehow win out against the metal, and Nitha couldn't see a single shred of hope for that. It was also being obscenely noisy and Nitha suddenly hoped that either it or she would move. However, she couldn't see much sense of her being moved if the strange/kind one had made this cell precisely for her. She twisted her head around, keeping her non-threatening posture. Nope. Nowhere was there an arrangement quite like hers. So she'd just have to hope the animal would be removed, since it made absolutely no sense that it would be in here with what she assumed were other self aware creatures. She was filled with the sudden, uncharacteristic desire to give the damn thing a full body hug and see if it would have a nice long nap while its blood and air flow recovered. Instead, Nitha adjusted her coils, the tip of her tail curling over the top of her head to cover her ears while she polished off her third bowl and started on the fourth. It didn't do much for the vibrations, but it did do wonders for the snarling.

By the time Nitha had finished her fourth bowl, the strange/kind one and the woman who wasn't his mate had left and a guard had returned trailed by a handful of servants. One carried what seemed to be a large pot, and from the way his muscles flexed it must have been heavy. That was water. Next to him was a woman who was carrying a large basket with both hands, filled with bread rolls. Behind them trotted a girl with a smaller basket filled with winter fruit while at her side was a lanky youth carrying two large bowls of meat. All of them looked fairly healthy and relaxed, and Nitha ran her eyes over them curiously. Though each was different from the other, she noted one similarity in the ones carrying the food. They all wore a blue band around their throats. Nitha blinked. She missed her own trinkets, they'd been taken from her after her capture. It did mark them as unique compared to the other humans she'd seen, and she watched curiously. Apparently it was feeding time for everyone. Nitha watched as everyone was allotted their portions, most bowls being slid through hatches on floor level. When it came to the beast and one other, the bowls were put on the floor and then pushed through the hatch with a long pole that seemed meant for such a purpose. None opened the cages. Nitha placed her last bowl of broth on the floor and held her current one as she slowly rolled to keep the humans in sight, watching them. Learning.

She felt the thing's approach before she heard it, a sharp reverbration in the floor and through her rock that made her shift her coils enough to peek over them at it. By the time the source of the sound entered, Nitha had already been watching the doorway for a good 30 seconds. It was the alien thing from earlier, and Nitha attempted to scent her again. The scents that assaulted her tongue were many and varied, some stronger than others. She caught the faint and familiar wiff of felines, something she remembered from home though she'd already seen that these ones were more like the humans in their build, not even having the feline head. There was the all pervasive scent of humans, a few that she didn't recognise, and then there. The bizarre smell of it. Nitha kept turning her head, smelling it and learning both scent and behaviour. One of the humans had odd features, like the dogs that humans kept, but seemed feral. The alien was fearless, seeming to address it with command. And what a voice! Only the eldest of their magicians and shamans could have a voice with many, usually only as many as five, no more. This voice was unnerving. Not only the strange/kind one but this one too was powerful. She wasn't cowed by the angry beast either, but when it transformed Nitha blinked in surprise. It was a person? It could speak? Nitha seemed to perk up, watching it with interest for a moment as she rested her torso on her arms instead of her chin on her tail. Then her attention turned back to the alien. What was it? Nitha slinked down from her rock, moving slowly, still weak, but definately more awake. She used her hands on the bars to keep her torso from flopping backwards as she bunched her coils under herself, lifting herself up to eye level with the alien, attempting to get a better look. It had very distinctive markings, but seemingly no features, and Nitha sucked in a breath over her tongue, trying to at least figure out if it had a gender.

Kenner

While Kenner stands before the three masters in the dinning room he see's one of the woman from before return. It was Peng'E again and she was in somewhat of a hurry which was evident in the haste in her step. She came to her masters ear and spoke lightly as she informed him of what happened down stairs.
She spoke cleanly and clearly, but light enough to keep the information from all but Syntira's draconian ears.

He gave a slightly distasteful look of discomfort with each passing word and all he can hear is a term of internment that quickly needs to be repaid to someone. He gives Peng'E a slight pat on the side to interrupt her and slides his chair back under the edge of the table.
"Well.. it seems the day keeps getting better." He looks at Peng'E and leans into her ear with one clear whisper before looking back. "I must apologize but an issue has arisen down stairs.. I leave you all in her capable hands for the moment. When everyone is done, she will take you to the atrium for viewing of the new additions." With that Kenner made a bow and then a slightly hasted retreat from the room. It was easy to see that there was a part of him fuming under the collar even before he stepped out and now it was more evident then before as he jumped the banister.
That fall was short and he quickly regained his footing and moved down towards the main hall, only to see that Roldan had moved the young slave girl Genti into the main hall and two of the house maids had come to redress her in something more suitable.

He looked her over and turned his attention towards Roldan.."What of the men who brought her?.. are they waiting to get paid for such an intrusion." He spoke with a lightly burning haze in the back of his eyes.. "No.." Roldan answered "I paid them a small sum of silver and.. forced them on their way."

kenner gave a blank stare with a slight exaggeration to his expression.."Keep her here and get her fed as well.. do not remove the cuffs yet however." He turns on his heel and heads back up the stairs rather quickly "Because I feel we will be seeing them again.."

The march back up the stairs towards his quarters was fast and full of reason as he had a very plane method of doing things. The men who brought Genti to his walls were in blatant disregard of his house and required a lesson in etiquette. Once inside his room he made use of the privacy such a place affords, the back of his room had a small library in place but in there at the moment books were not his concern.
He stepped in the middle of the floor where a glyph sat on the floor, next to the glyph sat a table with a small crystal on a stand that he quickly took in hand and squeezed. The crystal began to glow faintly and pulse as he concentrated on one name that could fix his current dilemma.

"Daud.. I must speak with William.. it is a matter of some urgency."

Peeshka looked at Bloodsong as he chowed away on his meal and she pulled her hand back to her sides after the bowl was taken. She was glad that he was more reasonable then most despite his appearance, which made her look back at Nix and remember the fact that she would be more of a hassle then she's worth.

She takes another look at the others in the cells and speak towards the entire group.. ~I suggest you all eat up.. we're all going outside pretty soon and that means your all going to need your strength.~
She stepped back outside of Bloodsongs cell passing through the bars as she did before and moved to lean on the far wall as if she were waiting for something to happen.

When the alien squeezed through the bars of the upset child's cage, Nitha watched in keen interest. The alien seemed to cradle the child before putting her back down and Nitha cocked her head, considering. It seemed that touch was used to comfort here as well as home, and hugs were considered an acceptable action. Nitha could do with a hug herself as she curled around her warmer. It was as she considering this that she realised that she was still in her filthy shift, and she made a disgusted face at it. Sitting up, Nitha immediately tugged her arms inside the loose, thin material. With her warmer she didn't have need of it for heat and she loathed the stupid thing. Using her hands to push it away from her front, she then lifted it up over her head without it touching her face and shook it inside out. Nitha then wiped her hands as well as she could on the inside of it and flung it against the cage door alongside her empty bowls. Completely unconcerned with her now nude state and the way her bones stood stark against her malnourished skin, Nitha sank back into her coils. Once she rested her chin on her coil, she noticed just how terrible the hide's condition was. She grimaced as she wished desperately for a stream or pond and then began methodically picking flakes of dry skin off and flicking them off her warmer onto the cell floor.

For lack of a better word, Nitha felt gross.

Kenner

With the greetings done between Mad Dog and Kenner it is taken upon the business men to converse more as they walk for a while through the master hall.
Kenner is starting to understand that this day must have been some sort of test to get under his skin, however Williams presence is making everything seem much better as the time drew on.. "I see Manhoon."
"If you are looking for some new.. blood as you so lovingly put it, I may be able to facilitate."
He beckoned Mad Dog on and offered the extension to Daud as well and so the men began to walk out of the hall. As they left the guards who escorted the two men down below returned and continued with their own duties of standing guard at the stairs.

As the moved on it was easy to tell for Mad Dog that most of Raven Loft's insides had been renovated since he left with Daud in his keeping. Marble lined most of the floor and high archways gave the halls a towering appearance. Seeing that it was only barely after mid day many of the houses patrons were moving about to get back and forth between their respective stations. The sounds of the whole body that was this place echoed on around them while their foot steps were easily drowned out by the rest of such immense movement.

Kenner kept speaking to enhance the conversation between him and Mad Dog. "I do have an idea of what you could be looking for.. someone well enough for your new enterprise. From what I hear that new club will be ready for full operation soon." He dipped his head slightly as several woman passed by in sundresses, each with an assertive bounce in their step and it could be seen why. A woman was walking behind them who cast assertion in her face and dominance in her stride. It was her that was driving the group on to whatever activity they intended to be at next.
She gave Kenner a firm but respectful nod as she passed him and his two friends.
With their passing Kenner continued.."As of now all of my new additions that are not taken.. are rather bare."

"I do however have some unique new treats for our trainers at least."

As they kept moving in their purpose the three passed into a large rotunda of passageways with several stairways leading down into and away from it. This was the causeway, and it was the only part of Raven Loft that truly remained untouched from the renovations. Peng'E was leading the other masters into the rotunda at the same time and she could see Kenner ahead of the group. With a slight pause in her step the group was halted before fully surpassing Kenner's, she gave a slightly bow towards the masters accompanying her before Kenner himself greeted them.. "Ah yes.. its good to see you all here now, that is fine now Peng'E you can head back to mistress Thresh now." The woman in white bows once again flashing a slight smile as she heads back up the stairs from where the group came.

Kenner beckoned them onward and lead them further eastward into the keep and as he lead them on the hall began to become wider and taller, with a great vast light pouring in from the exit ahead. Each step lead them closer and as they walked the sounds of nature could be heard coming through the opening as well.
When the group broke the threshold it became clear to them what the name atrium meant.
It was a vast opening within the bowels of Raven Loft it had the makings of a massive gladiatorial arena, but instead of sand within the base of this giant ring there was a field. Trees and tall grass and a sizable lake in the center and all that many creatures could wish for. Kenner walks the group out onto the balcony of a large slope overlooking the atrium and presents it to them all. "Welcome to the atrium, a crowning example of design if ever there was one. As you look around you there is nature for all to see and if you cast your eyes above even the sun itself is part of Raven Loft."

He was not off when he said this, for when an eye was cast upwards a circular inverted dome could be seen dominating the roof of the atrium. It shined with a deep warm light that gave life as easily as the sun itself would do in mid summer.
"For all those slaves who want to see the world as they left it and come back to nature, however it is still safe to let them roam free here. There is no chance of escape even for those with the power of flight."

* * * *

Peeshka looked back at Nix as a look passed on her face that the masked warden would not have thought possible for the shape shifter to show. She tilted her head to the side as guards with restraining implements arrived in droves, each one in full dress and waiting with baited breath for Pesshka's words.
She cast her gaze towards them and spoke.. ~Alright pair up and get to your appointed cells..~ She looked up to see that behind several of them men were two guards with Genti in arm, they did little to hamper her movement and instead lent an arm to help support her weight for her as they helped her walk. The men & woman got to work as Pesshka walked closer to see Genti for herself. Stopping only a few feet away she stared for a few seconds before slowly leaning in, her expressionless mask looking on and red leather bindings creaking as she inched forward. ~I see.. a new one comes again unscheduled.~
"The master also wants her moved into the atrium with the others.." The guard holding her bowl in his right hand spoke in order to clarify. Peeshka only returned a twitch of her head in his direction before looking back at Genti before nodding.

Everyone was thus gathered up from their cells.
Awoken from slumber or lead out from their positions, some had to be restrained in order to keep the guards peace of mind. The cause to being marked with a black collar saw many of those slaves being treated as such. However the guards were gentle as they could be and courteous in their work, the master would not want to see them damaged what he had just come into possession of within the last hours.
It was then that the group of slaves, was lead towards their destination of the atrium. However they did not share the use of the upper walkways like the masters and more privileged slaves were used to. The area they walked was darker and more somber with wider halls and such open spaces as to maneuver large groups of bodies. This was the main way for the guards to transfer a mass of slaves from one point in Raven Loft to the other and while the atmosphere of this lower area was rather dim.
It still bore a fresh air and lenient energy about it.

The only exception to the move was Nitha, she was left within her cell. The guards did not have the material to move her nor the manpower at the moment and while Kenner with his gifts could transport easily, they would need several men to move her even with a dolly.

Within several minutes the group was lead through a causeway of their own and this one itself lead into the grassy area within the atrium. As the guards lead the slaves in one after the other was released from their bindings and left to stand within the light of the atrium's dome. Those with less tendencies to strike were released first and those with black collars were let go last before the guards passed through the cause way again and as the last stepped through a large gate was swung closed behind to bar an exit.

Pesshka stayed behind with Nitha looking into her cell..~I must say that it is good to see one of your kind again.. it has been some time since one with blood like yours has passed through these walls.~

Nitha folded in on herself, hiding in her coils as so many strangers came in at once. Part of her expected to be prodded and baited, but instead she was absolutely ignored. She felt quite lucky as the others in cages were led out. Some had simple restraints. Others were trussed similar to how she had been. But there were no iron bands for her, no folding of her tail. Feeling somewhat better, she watched as the others were removed from the cells. Some of them had to be wrestled into their restraints, and as she watched she could see that the more dangerous ones had black necklaces. The ones with pink and orange were the most docile. Nitha wondered if they were a society thing, like bird's plumage. No matter, she was sure that if she were here for any length of time she'd figure it out.

She could feel the tromping vibrations of the ground as the whole mass of them left, her eyes slipping closed with contentment at the quiet. If she breathed through her nose instead of her mouth, she couldn't even smell them and maybe, just maybe she could kid herself that she was sleeping on a sun warmed rock in the evening back home.

But then she felt the minor displacements and vibrations that meant someone was still here, and looked up to see the alien's disconcerting face with the red and white staring at her. At least, she thought it was staring. It was hard to tell with something that didn't have a proper face. It spoke to her with the voice of many, and she blinked at it, her head tipping sideways as she sat up. Rearranging herself so that she leaned her naked torso back against her shabby coils, she considered it before shaking her head slightly.

"Ma ikka ei saa aru oma keelt." she said, voice heavy with disappointment. She wanted to talk to this one. She'd been the second person after the kind/strange one to ever try to talk to Nitha. Although at this point after months of no conversation, Nitha wasn't even sure what she'd say. Then Nitha had a thought.

It was intelligent, that had been proven. It was also interested in her. Perhaps, she could teach it something. Straightening up, Nitha advanced to the rails, holding out one chapped hand towards the other's cheek, her face open as she stared at its eye markings.

"Nitha," she said clearly. "Nitha." Hopefully this thing understood her gesture, and it was as Nitha was sitting at the bars to her cell with her arm thrust through the square that she noticed that it had what appeared to be breasts. Was it female?

Kenner

Kenner looked at the young prince as he turned his head from peering over at the slaves on the grounds below, he could understand the questions and knew that there would be more to come. He leaned back on the rail of the patio and gave a slight smirk as he spoke.."The collars are to be considered a type of rating system if you'd like to prefer it as such. Blue's are good for anyone, they serve and attend as well as any maid or butler maybe even more so actually."
He looks down again and see's the collected slaves begin to mull about trying to get their bearings with the new site before them. He was rather caught off when he noticed Nix in her seclusion singing a song about him, one that he had heard before but never had the chance to pay attention.

"Reds make excellent fighters (if) they can be tempered, oranges are very good at the arts. Some can paint, play music, or even sing with great tune to their voices. Pinks are those that love their masters and do whatever they can to.. ease them. While as you guessed those with a black collar are usually thought of as being dangerous, but not generally for their character but because of their type or breed." Kenner turns back towards the group of masters and smiles while raising himself up and sitting on the railing. "So why don't you observe for now while you converse for as well, I have to check up on one of our new additions."

With that he leaned back on the rail and fell backwards off the patio, the fall however was short seeing as the ground was only fifteen feet from the atrium grounds. His robe flapped in the air and foiled around as the air swept by his body and in mid fall Kenner corrected his position, tumbling over and landing solidly on his feet with a loud thump on the soft soil. A guard eating his roll on a short break was peering in from the gate when Kenner touched down and the sudden landing caused him a great deal of freight as he fell back on his stool and sent his snack flying.
Kenner was not one to lose his stride and quickly stood with a step in Nix's direction, working his way past several of the other slaves. Approaching Nix from the back he set himself on a low stone passing a look of thought on his face before he spoke to her."Why.. do you maintain that form, surely you would feel better in yours human form wouldn't you?"
He knew that she harbored a hatred for him off from the start with the look she bore in her eyes, he didn't care about what she would do however. If she tried anything it would most likely be an intense learning experience for her instead of him.

* * * *

Peeshka eyed Nitha for several seconds as she soaked in what the naga said, it had been a long time since they received a slave who could not speak the common language on Thaiden. Granted there were other races of beings that inhabited this land but that did not stop anything at a language barrier.

She would have to concentrate herself on one voice in order to speak the correct language for the naga to respond, it had however been some time for Peeshka to speak a tongue that was not native to her. Being of her origins she could speak the best of the highest of heaven and even boast with the dregs of hell if she had to, but languages on the human plane were not her real forte.
Peeshka went silent for a moment as she could pick out a voice within the torrent of one's within herself and it only took several seconds to find one that she found herself liking. She went straight for a second and leaned into the bars of Nitha's cell.

~See üks räägib oma keelt.. Olete Naga .. parandada?~ The voice she spoke with now was singular and much stranger then before, because it bore a strange sound to that of a young woman.. almost a child. She tilted her head with the question as she finished speak towards Nitha.

When the alien ignored her gesture, Nitha clearly wilted, her hand drooping and withdrawing as she curled back into herself. While the alien may not have realised it, her failure to mirror the gesture was a clear, sharp refusal to have cordial relations with the Naga. Unlike the kind/strange one, this did not want to be her friend. Nitha returned to picking at flakes of dead skin on her dull scales, sulking slightly. Then she heard a voice speaking familiar words and her head shot up. Eyes wide, Nitha spent a moment looking wildly for the other naga, only to realise that the woman-child's voice came from the alien.

If the alien had spoken in its voice of many, Nitha would have been less perturbed. Instead it was eerie, and she wasn't sure she appreciated it. She stared at the thing for a moment longer, and noticed for the first time that it appeared to have breasts. Was it female? Nitha's voice cracked a moment in hope as she responded.

"Ma olen. Sa .... Kuidas sa ...... ma ...." she felt so overwhelmed that for a moment she didn't know what to say. She folded her arms over her head in the gesture for being overwhelmed and excited, before dropping them again as she realised something she could finally ask for.

"Kas ma ujuma?"

Kenner

After having tested Nix on her resolve, which the act in itself showed Kenner that he would need to keep an eye on such an powerful and spirited individual. His trek back to his quarters were not hampered by the presence of other people so he was able to cut some corners and pass through other areas without drawing attention.
He was sound with leaving the other masters by themselves to look in on the others and he would not live to regret such a choice. The guards themselves were well trained and could handle any other problems that might arise. His thoughts came back to Nix however at the idea of how she could handle what he had given her and maybe that it was a bit too much for her constitution to take.

Deep in thought he was back in his room, with the closet open and an array of clothes before him, he took the chance to adorn himself softer then the dark reds and instead dressed in light greens. Almost changing his whole attire were it not for the fact he still did not have shoes on.
He heard a distant knock on his door and turned to speak. "Enter.." he commanded with a solemn voice and the door swung open with a guard it its holdings. He stayed at the door, not daring to cross the threshold between Kenners room and the rotunda. "Master Kenner, the new arrivals slated for today have come.. Roldan currently has them in the main hall." Kenner spun around and walked off as he finished tying his sash, approaching the guard in time. "That's splendid.. go ahead and have them brought to the holding area while I make ready for the slaves return from the atrium." He said as he passed the guard patting him on the shoulder and heading down the stair.
With a heated bounce in his step the guard was right behind Kenner as they moved down the stair.

As Kenner and the guard come down the stairs he can see that both of the woman were in fact in the main hall, but his curiosity is peeked when he see's that one is a succubus. Without losing his stride he beckons with a finger and the guards escorting the two woman bring them on in tow with Kenner.
He steps in time with an unheard beat and only makes the men stop with the woman outside of the archway into the holding area before he steps in alone. There Peeshka was still peering into Nitha's cell and she turns towards him with a crick in her neck.. ~She wishes to.. swim..~ Kenner gives a small smile with the realization of this and returns "Yes her kind like to do such things among being well fed and taken care of." He gives his fingers a crack and stretches with his elbows for a second giving Pesshka a small pause. ~Your going to do that now?..~ Her voice returning to the same as it was before, several echoing tones and mannerisms channeling into one singular voice.

"Yeah.. I am" He drops to his knees once again and presses his palms against the floor causing the soft white light to peel away into the area around him. Yet this time it keeps growing and consuming filling out into the whole of the room. Where furniture was the light encased the floor and that object would sink into the warm light disappearing from view and in one moment the walls of the room made a slight lurching noise as the structure of Raven Loft shifted to adapt to the change.
The cages all around soon to fell into the light and even Nitha's own cell dissolved around her, the heated stone and bowls being whisked away from view just as quick. Her whole body was surrounded by this soft glowing radiance that in itself one could hear a slight hum. While light became the only thing that anyone near or in the room could see.

Then within an instance all was clear once more, the room itself had taken a massive change in shape and interior. It was now a single large room with both exits possessing strong barred gates, the beds themselves now situated on the northern side of the room while a low fountain like bath had been formed on the southern end in turn. The heated rock was now in the corner surrounded by plush pillows for those who wished to lay as well away from the beds and small tables situated near the fountain.

Kenner stood and began to brush his hands against his thighs as he whistled out for the guards to bring the two new girls in and so they responded. As they walked in he looked back at Pesshka and Nitha giving the Naga as slight gesture with his hand towards the large fountain. It looked as though it could handle her size and then a few others, while the water sparkled and cascaded divinely.
He turned and gazed back at the two being brought before him and reached up to see the young human girl and looked at the guard holding the papers. He caught Kenner looking at him and shortly stammered with his voice before speaking.."Yes.. This girl is named Silver, while her companion here is name Liuvash D-da-Daronia?" Kenner gave him a nod as he looked over the young girl Silver and ran his hands over her shoulders for a moment while giving her a calm look.

She was slightly meek to him but that could be a type of apathy that he usually see's with young girls, he slides her bangs back over her ears as he gives her a small smile and begins to step away. "Rather puzzling look in her eyes.. Red & Pink for now.. until we get a better look at her."
He stepped up to Liuvash and sighed as he looked at the way she had been dressed up, he almost could laugh at the superstition of humans when dealing with anything beyond their comprehension. He takes a moment to undo the clasp on her gag and unties her cowl, removing them gently taking care not to pull her hair or catch anything sensitive. Once her eyes were clear he could see that her beauty was respective of her race and he gave her a smile as well. Going through the motions he touched her in several small places not going beyond normal boundaries and gave her a clean look over.

"She has promise.. Blue & white.. maybe Pink as well if she has the aptitude for it." The guards move up behind the two and slide the corresponding color of collar around their necks latching them and returning to their own duties as they walk back out the holding area, shutting the new gate behind them.
Kenner gives the girls a solid smile as he reaches down and unbinds them from their irons, strangely enough with only his bare hands and as the shackles fall to the floor they are consumed by the familiar white light on impact to disappear as well. Kenner see's that Liuvash has two small bangles on her wrist that are made of a specially forged metal, he can tell these are actually made to suppress any other powers that she might have in her veins.

He takes a step back and lets the girls get a look at their surroundings and rub their wrist free of the stiffness before speaking.. "Welcome to Raven Loft my dears.."

No sooner had she made her request to the alien when the kind/strange one returned. Nitha perked up at seeing him, her only friend in a long time. He had a brief exchange with the alien, and then....

Oh gods oh gods oh gods EVERYTHING was changing and Nitha had herself wrapped into a tight ball of fear as she lost sight of the world through the light. It was like what he had done to make her cage earlier, but then she'd been watching it, not in the midst of it. For a moment she had an irrational thought that he might try to rearrange her as well. When the world went back to normal, everything had changed and shifted. The bars were gone though there was still ones in the doors, but the room was now more open, what she had recognised as resting places shifted to one wall and her warmer in a corner. Nitha was bunched up, arms held close as she stared wildly.

However nobody else seemed perturbed by the situation at all, as the alien seemed utterly unaffected and the kind/strange one himself was calm as he led in two females, and the men she was beginning to recognise as guards. Nitha relaxed slightly, still eagle eyeing the kindstrange one.

She was somewhat mollified when he guestured slightly to the side and she darted her eyes across to see a pool. Well, sort of a pool. But closer to anything she'd seen to wash herself in so far. She slid over slowly to investigate, moving sideways while keeping her eyes on proceedings. The two females in with her now seemed much more calm and docile than those who had been in earlier, and she felt a wash of relief at that. Reaching the clear water, Nitha stuck her hand in. It was cool, but if she didn't spend forever in there and got back on her warmer quickly, that wouldn't be a problem. As she swirled it, she noticed that the muck that washed off her hand drifted to the side of the pool before vanishing under the rim. Curious, Nitha poked her finger under it, temporarily ignoring proceedings in favour of figuring this out. There seemed to be some sort of small aperture, or series of them, under the rim. Which meant the water was flowing. Which meant.... even if she washed every bit of filth off her, it would wash away and she was going to be clean! Nitha enthusiastically slid into the water and dunked her head, her entire length vanishing in although the widest point of her coils didn't quite fit under the surface. She resurfaced and happily shook her head to flop her locks about before rolling and dunking the back of her head in, hands coming up vigorously scrub. As she wiggled happily, she looked to the two new females who were also wearing pretty necklaces. Maybe they'd want to bathe too, she thought, not thinking of how very intimidating a large naked naga with her ribs showing would look.

Kenner

The girls reaction and cause took Kenner back for a moment, he looked at her with a renewed vigor as the instance passed and he smiled at her. "Interesting.." He stepped back to Peeshka's side for a moment and looked over to see Nitha doing her best to wash the days scales away, this brought a slight smirk to his face as he walked over towards her.
Peeshka took the moment to speak towards the two woman..~It should be fine for the two of you to pick a bed now.. just try not to get too comfortable.. you never know what may transpire.~
Her tone was euphoric for the most part and the fact that she didn't deter from her mask singular blank stare was not going to win over hearts anytime soon. So while Silver and Liuvash were allowed to find their own beds, Kenner kept moving towards the fountain with Nitha within.

"So.. you like the fountain?" By the time he spoke she was already leaned up against the inside of the bowl with he eyes fixated on the new girls. Kenner looked her over and he took in her form, despite however the fact that she was still slightly underweight she was more spry then before.
His words did cause her to tilt her head albeit instinctively from his interaction he still knew she did not speak the common language. "Such a barrier.. I will have to do something." She still stared at him blankly as he talked, apparent that his interaction with her was more soft then what she was used to.

He took her head in hand gently and caressed her chin as easily as he first met her, Kenner was looking for a way to help her understand the common tongue. He did have a few methods, but some were painful and he did not relish the thought of doing such a thing to her without a proper reason. He noticed then that her ears while slender, were at one point in time pierced. Her jewelry must have been taken when she was captured or she lost them at some point in her travels to Raven Loft. Kenner on the other hand did not really care about that, he had seen an opening for a more useful method of helping her learn and it was then that he slowly took his hands and clutched the sides of her head.
He pulled the young Naga closer to his chest and held her lightly, this made Peeshka uneasy as she paced slightly behind his back with a tense look in her form. Kenner on the other hand began to rub the lobe of her right ear with his fingers and kept utmost contact with her eyes.
She was easy with his touch that was no secret, but what came next was most likely out of her perception for him. A sharp yet quick lancing pain shot through the corresponding ear, only foretold by a crack of sound and a small blink of light. Needless to say the effect made a reeling withdraw in her body, but he had shifted his grip to her shoulders and held her fast. Her coiled form flowed down and pulsed away in its own attempt to run from the quick sensation tossing some of the water from the fountain.

Even though the pain was as quick as the act, what came next left an even more strange impression for Nitha. "I must apologize for what I just did, but it was a necessity." His voice was clean and clear, but strangely Nitha could understand him with just as clear perception as when he just spoke.

New Arrival

Deep within the halls of Raven Loft there is a place, this place is enigmatic compared to the rest of the great house because it is so strange and secretive. This place is a gathering hall all its own, for individuals that are the more arcanely capable of the houses inhabitants.
Many work here robed and covered to preserve their identities and they move about carrying their wares and trades in hand. Scrolls and tomes that tell the stories of countless eternities and the people who carry them are more simple in their own motives. It was Kenner and his own allies that allowed for the creation of this section of Raven Loft and it is here that their teachings are exemplified in the material realm.

It is here that a man works, one of two brothers that serves Kenner in their research and one of two that strive to improve all. They stand shoulder to shoulder as they each finish drawing a circle of incantation on the floor.
"Jeremy, Are you sure the incantation is spot on?" The first brother looks to his sibling as they finish laying the powder for the circle. "Of course it is.. we both drew and prepared for it." The other replied giving a look back to get his point across.
This is Jeremy and Joshua, the two twin brothers have been within this lead position for Raven Loft for the last ten years and each one is a capable master in his own right.

Jeremy holds in his hand an item like that of Kenner's crystal.
He holds it up to his face and speaks into it.. "We are ready on this end, are you prepared as well?" The voices on the other side return with a cohesive *Yes* in their voices. The two brothers have been working on using their own application of magic to acquire product for Kenner's use and they were both o a breakthrough with their research. A woman was being held on the other end of the line of communication, a prisoner and demon no less. It was this fact that the brothers needed her seeing as she was not human and her body was suitable for the energies of where she would be traversing.

The woman on the other end was placed inside the center of a circled incantation ring, brought to her knees and a clasped chain latched to the floor to hold her in placed. She could see very little of her captors save for the dim light shining on the lower sections of their faces and a singular outstretched hand from each. They were intending to send her to Raven Loft via the Ether, a malleable world of constant magical essence that many of the arcane arts take advantage of.
Each member participating holds their hands out towards the center of their respective circles and begins to chant, Jeremy and Joshua do the same as they hold out their hands as well.
This causes the circles to glow faintly as each member continues to speak with the Demon held within feeling the light creep up on her thighs. As the spell works its way to completion both of the brothers share a moment of ecstatic momentum with a stare from one to the other. They had been working on such spell work for some time now and with this they hope to prove their worth even more to Kenner.

The moment of truth comes when Jeremy leans in with his hand to finish the incantation and speaks. "Clatu.. Veratta..Nic.."In the last moments the worst of things could happen, he sneezes and botches the incantation horribly.

As each member realizes that something has gone wrong they are too late to stop the spell and within that second the light envelops the young Demon and she is whisked away.
She is drawn through the Ether at a blinding pace as her travel is disturbingly fast and frantic as well. She is spit out of an unknown opening far from the laboratory that the brothers use and to make matters worse her exit it several feet suspended in the air.
A quick burst of turqoise light flashes into the room, bathing Kenner, Nitha, and the others in its radiance as she begins to fall. The demon girl makes a heavy splash in the water of the fountain showering Kenner over the front of the face as she lands.

In those few seconds before Quinn hit the water two things crossed her mind. The first thought was that she would kill those two idiots who sent her here, and the second thought was that this was probably the unluckiest week of her life. Not only had she collapsed from hunger and exhaustion, but the two people who saved her were in fact not helping her out of the kindness of their hearts. They were selling her into slavery.

"Crazy humans.." Quinn grumbled as she pulled herself out of the fountain with effort, as her pants were heavy from the water weighing her down. She hadn't even noticed the girl who grabbed her from the water. Quinn only had one boot, and the other one was floating in the fountain. She pulled off her remaining boot and poured the water out. She was soaking wet, grumpy, and her pants were making her movements sluggish. She almost pulled her pants off right then and there out of frustration, but then she noticed that she wasn't alone, she froze, hands on the buttons of her pants. There were several people watching her, and two of them were standing right beside her. The first was the small girl who looked to be half snake, while the other figure was a man. Quinn noticed that the man's head was drenched, and his face was clearly unimpressed. Something about this man unnerved her, and she took a few steps away from him. She gave a nervous laugh, "Oops, wrong portal." She inched further away as she rambled, "Happens all the time. Last time I almost took someone's eye out." She gestured to what she hoped was the exit and tried to make her voice sound casual, "You guys don't have to see me out, because I'm just leaving. So continue on with your conversations". Quinn turned and headed towards the door that she had gestured to. She remembered that she was barefoot, and stopped herself from running back to grab her boots. She was determined to get to the door, and only hoped that in the confusion no one would stop her.

Much to Nitha's amazement, she didn't just understand the kindstrange one, but also this new human. She didn't seem to appreciate the water, clambering out of it. Nitha took her clothes off to bathe when she had them, so she assumed humans did so as well. As the woman chattered, Nitha realised that while she understood the words, she didn't quite understand what the human was talking about. What was a portal, why would it take out somebody's eye? But as the woman headed for the door Nitha understood one thing very clearly. She was leaving her boots behind. That was no good, Nitha decided as she fished one out as it floated along the bottom of the pool and leaned over the ledge to scoop up the other one. Nitha had no idea if whatever the kindstrange one had done to her ear would help others understand her speech, but she slid out of the man's grasp and over the floor, leaving a wet trail as she went.

"Wait," she said softly. "These are important, no?" She held out the dripping items to the woman's retreating back. If she intended to go anywhere, she'd need them. If there was one thing Nitha had noticed, many humans were helpless without shoes. Their feet were soft and tender, and didn't offer the protection her thick belly scales did.
