Albertine Fox's Story
The woman crept backward very slowly, waiting for the first attack. As Vance made his gesture, her muscles tensed, waiting...just waiting for the right moment.
The Gallade struck, and Albertine dodged easily, dodging to the side and making no hesitation to make an all out charge for him. She did not have her guns, but a pair of normal tonfa's were taken from her belt.

And it was parried easily, as Albertine was merely testing the animal, trying to see how it fought, to observe its movements. She spun and aimed for another attack, the end of the tonfa spinning out and coming in for the Gallade's head. Her mouth was twisted into a smile as she did this; it was absolutely thrilling!

The woman might have wanted to hug the thing, but it wasn't a hard thing to refrain. She knew to be wary of everything she saw in Wing City, up to the most harmless thing she could imagine. "Well, then...would you like a drink? I'll treat," she said, wrapping her fingers around her glass as it came. She never took her eyes off the bird, however, and her bladed tonfa's were comfy at her belt.

Fox leaned back to avoid this attack, using one foot to push away and secure herself. "Ha! Good parry!" She said, though she was already darting forward, raising one of her legs and striking downward in an axe-kick.

"V-very well," mumbled Albert, her credits taken before her eyes as the bird-thing tapped the screen. Well, she had treated. She picked up her glass, the milky brown substance melting the shaved ice within it. Fox tipped it over, emptying some into her mouth. "It's as good here as any place." She said to herself, smiling fondly.
"Me? Well, you could call me a half-assassin. I'm...not always inclined to kill. Maiming is more favorable to me."

Albertine's leg thumped into the ground, and the woman looked around, confused. "What the...?" She said, spinning quickly. As the five appeared, Fox smirked. Ah, so one of those, huh? She crouched low, the lines on her boots glowing a bright blue. "Fine...you want to play that game? I can too!"

Of course, sitting int he corner along with her favored drink - rum cream, of course - was Albertine, who had been doing the same thing just the previous night when she'd met some fluffy, strange birdthing. It was a little cute, sure, but the way it just looked at her!

The woman sipped the milky brown rum, hugging the ice within it. She crossed her legs and turned, watching both the young man and the dragon. Putting the drink down, she nodded to the brightly colored bird reptile thing, giving it a vague smile. "Good afternoon to you, as well. How might you be?" She asked it, then raising her head to the man in the corner. "And you, sir? How are you?"

The woman stirred her drink with a finger for a while, staring at the two as they replied, trying to look pleasant as she nodded and smiled. Half of it was fake, for she was throughly flabbergasted. A dragon! She never thought she'd see one of those, even with the stories that the guys were telling!
"You seem to be a big fish guy," she said to Pineapple, every bit of the sentence true. She pursed her lips as she looked to Jack, wiping her finger in a napkin. "I'm well. Thanks for asking." Normal conversation for normal people, right? Yeah.

"Hm. How rude," she said as the man she had been talking to just up and left, leaving her and the bright dragon alone to converse. Sure, she wasn't prejudiced or anything, but could a dragon carry along a good conversation?

"Earth, as most humans are. Not a very exciting place, but that's why I'm here," she said, briefly lifting her hand to gesture to the place. She seemed to of forgotten the drink at this point, her focus all on the dragon. He spoke common fairly well, even seemed to have a perfectly functioning brain. "I'm...something of a hunter." She didn't want to reveal that she was half an assassin. "I use them for self-defense, really. Nothing special- you shouldn't feel threatened!"
"Well, I suppose that's...a few percent of the reason I came," Fox said, thinking about all the reasons she got mixed up into this. The 'Wing City' project, they called it. And she'd volunteered without hesitation. She wasn't sure if she'd made the right choice or not.
Albertine rocketed out of her chair as the dragons head came out with an octopus on it. "Shit, what the...the...it's an octopus," she said calmly, shoulders dropping after her panic. Good lord, that was startling. "Ah...do you need help there, fruity?"

"Not just to kill things. It's an opportunity to explore! You know how many humans get to marvel at a world like this? To see their fantasies come true? None! None but the few that come to a place like this! And I'm one of those lucky few!" She said, obviously proud with her volunteer job. "I mean, sure, I might kill some people on the way but...it's worth it, right? Yes. I think so."

"Haha! There's five of you and you all missed!" Came a voice, far from where the other image of Fox was. The Gallade's struck something, but it was all air. An illusion of Albertine which disappeared as the real one stood a good ten feet away, the boots glowing even brighter than before. "That's the only magic we have...in fact, I don't even know if it's magic or not. I have only one other ability...can you guess what that is?"
"Hmm..." said Fox, bending her knees low. A wide grin spread on her face as she saw the Gallade made the gesture, aiming her arms outward in a front fighting stance. "Very well, you asked for it."
Activating the only super ability she had, the woman increased the elasticity of the ground underneath her feet, using it to increase her speed and rocket towards the animal, tonfa's out to strike once at its head, another at its arms.

One lesson the woman had learned was to always look the opponent directly in the eye. Of course, she was doing the same for this animal after she'd been parried, backing up to get ready for the next strike. She needed to throw in more combo's...needed to keep attack...attack...ing...

The woman stumbled back, trying to get out of the way. her eyelids...her head! They were so heavy, by god! She could barley stand! He...must have done something! She shook her head sluggishly, trying to get out of her daze.
To no avail. The Gallade smashed into her with tremendous force, causing Fox to skid backwards and come in contact with the ground. She leaned forward after a while, clenching her head in her hands. "Ahhh. Oww..."

"Yeah, yeah...god...didn't expect something like that," she half-laughed, though she felt pain reverberate through her skull and down into the base of her neck. She had dropped her weapons, now trying to get up onto her feet. "I just wasn't being careful. I'm alright...really..." she swayed a bit on her feet, but caught herself. No! She wasn't in pain, she was fine!
