Celestia Kerima's Story

Celestia wakes up in her bed to another day. She would find that, as usual, everybody was sleeping with her in her bed. This always made her smile. Celestia sat up and clapped her hands.

"Alright everybody, out of bed. It's time to get up."

The Jolteon was the first out of bed, as if she'd been awake the whole time and was just waiting for somebody to say something. The last out was the Leafeon, he seemed exceptionally groggy.

"Cress, go outside and use Sunny Day, alright? And Ally, don't mess with him this time!"

The Leafeon named Cress went outside the backdoor when Celestia opened it for him, while the Vaporeon named Ally simply walked to the kitchen. Celestia left the door open so Cress could come back in when he's feeling better. She then walked to the kitchen and opened the cupboard labeled "Breakfast". She proceeded to take out a bowl of Combee-Combs, she really liked the taste of honey in them. Before she poured herself a bowl, she proceeded to take out a couple of bags, each with different berries in it.

"Ok, we're going to have to go shopping today. We're almost out of berries for you guys, and the trees haven't grown yet. So today, I'll let you all pick which berries you want."

Celestia would empty the bags into a bowl and place it on the ground for her Pokemon. She knew everybody would pick the ones they always eat anyway, but the choice is still there. The Flareon walked right up and snatched the Tomato berry before anybody else could and runs off with it. Nobody minded because nobody else likes spicy food. The Umbreon just sat back and waited for everybody else to pick, he wasn't picky. Ally the Vaporeon decided to go out of her usual dry comfort zone and decided to try a Nanab berry while also setting aside a Durin berry for Cress. The Jolteon snagged the Ipapa berry while the Espeon looked to the Umbreon and gestured to the Mago and the Cornn berry. The Umbreon walked over and grabbed the Cornn, knowing the Espeon likes sweet berries more. The Espeon gave a nod of appreciation and took her Mago berry. Cress would come back inside and shut the door behind him and head for the kitchen. He would notice the Durin berry left over and start to chow down on it despite it being horribly bitter to everybody else. He liked that stuff.

Watching the little show was Celestia, eating her cereal as she smiled at her friends having fun. The only thing that could make this better was her dad finally coming home. That day will come eventually. The doorbell would ring and Celestia would put down her spoon and call out that she's coming. At the door was the usual mailman who she sees every Saturday with her mail. He cheerfully hands her the envelopes and Celestia thanks him and they chat for a bit before his phone buzzed, telling him his next house. As he leaves, Celestia closes the door and finishes her cereal. Once everybody was done, Celestia cleaned up her portion of the mess while the Flareon used his tail as a broom to brush all the excess from them eating onto the Leafeon's tail, who used it like a dustpan and disposed of the dirt.

Celestia opens the envelope. As usual, 120, 000 Poke is inside it. She splits it up between five different safes. One for bills, one for mortgage, one for food, one for snacks, and one for savings. She almost had enough for that brand new Acro Bike in Mauville. Hers was getting a little old, coming up on six years of age. With that, she pockets 20, 000 Poke so she can go shopping.

"Ok, is everybody done eating? Good. Who was outside their ball last week? Oh, you were, that's right, Kai. Ok then. Lana, you get to walk with me around the store this week, ok?"

The Jolteon nodded and walked over to stand beside Celestia while everybody else went into their respectively painted pokeballs. She didn't have enough money to buy custom pokeballs so she simply bought some spray paint and did it herself. Those custom ones are so expensive! It's like 2 mortgage payments just for one! No way could she fit that in her budget. Not with the gift she's saving up for, for when Dad comes home.

Celestia double checks all the windows and doors to make sure they're shut and locked. The Jolteon named Lana checks them as well. Soon the pair leaves out the front door and she locks it behind them. Off they went to the department store just 10 minutes away. On the way, Celestia was writing a list.

"Let's see... We need some more of every berry type. Bitter for Cress, spicy for Kai, dry for Ally, sweet for Mia, sour for you, Lana, and Zico doesn't really care so I'll grab him anything. We're running low on meat so I should buy some of that ground meat. I always forget what it is, but everybody likes it, so I keep getting it. Some juice and eggs. Ummm... Oh right! We really need some bread too and some butter. As for snacks... the usual chips and pop but I was wondering, Lana... would everybody like if I splurged and bought some chocolate? It's supposed to be on sale."

The Jolteon nodded and gave an affirmative cry as they walked. Celestia wrote that down as well and put her list away in her bag. They would get to the store and enter, heading to the respective areas to go buy their food.

“Sooo... Let me get this straight. You've got me all to yourself with no Serena around to protect me. ...And all you want to do is draw me??” DIN-05.2 asked in an incredulous tone. The gynoid was standing on the beach in a swimsuit that frankly didn't help her maintain a low profile, given that it showed off more of her metallic skin and segmented joints. “...You are not capable of swimming. So why is it you chose to wear a swimsuit?” DIN-03 replied in a rather flat tone. “O-kay... Fair point. But doesn't this violate your programming?” DIN-05.2 asked. “...I'm just trying to make the best of our time together. You wore that because you wanted people to appreciate your beauty, right? Well I appreciate you. That's why I want to immortalize you in art instead of bickering and fighting. Can't our mission wait just a day for me to appreciate you before we must inevitably duel to the death?” DIN-03 asked. DIN-05.2 considered this for a moment. “--You mean you want me to model for you?? Oh, Ruby that's so sweet! I've got other outfits too! We could do a whole photoshoot together! Can my pokemon be in your drawings too??” DIN-05.2 blurted out, suddenly eager. ...Serena would probably be back in that time right? She'd never leave her alone for that long knowing how dangerous it was. Yeah! This just might avoid a near-death battle! “Here. Hold this and smile. Please be 'cute'.” Ruby replied, offering White an Applin. She took the pokemon, eyeing it for a moment before striking a nice pose with it.

...Many long hours of modeling and drawing later.

“...C-Can we take a break? I need to sleep.” White whined. “...Robots don't need to sleep.” Ruby flatly replied. “But it hurts! It hurts to stay awake all night! You know that!” White pleaded in a rather whiny tone. This caused Ruby to hesitate a moment, staring at her rather coldly. “...Being alive is suffering. We feel only an imitation of the pain our organic predecessors do, and yet you sound like you are about to cry. Doesn't that strike you as weird?” DIN-03 asked. Huffing a bit and thrusting her arms downward in frustration, White snapped back with a very sore “It feels real to me!”

A moment of silence passed. “...What happened to you? You used to be warm. It's like you're not even trying to be human anymore.” White softly remarked. At this, DIN-03's eyes narrowed with a certain disgust. “Human?? Human?! ...Humans are monsters.” Ruby snapped back. “--How can you say that?? Like six of them have come to admire our work today! They seemed pretty nice...” White replied. “...I've traveled the world to see what it has to offer and found it ... lacking. Everything hurts, 'dear sister'. Even things that are supposed to bring humans joy hurts me now. And I don't even have the worst of it! Frankly, this is the least pain I've been in for months, and I have you to thank for that.” Ruby lectured in frustration, beginning a new sketch. “ . . . I-I'm sorry. I--” White stammered out, deeply unsettled by Ruby's words. “It's fine. Soon enough it won't matter anyway. We'll have served our purposes, and the pain will be over.” Ruby interrupted in a distant tone.

White furrowed her brows, considering Ruby's choice of words there for a moment. What did he mean by that? Did he--? It suddenly hit her. “--Ruby! Please tell me you didn't.” White blurted out. Ruby gave her no response, continuing to sketch. White lifted her eyes to the darkening sky. Sure enough, she spotted something large approaching in the distance. Without hesitating, White turned and began to attempt to flee. However, upon seeing this, Ruby promptly rose and tossed a pokeball out, a milotic emerging to intercept the android. Without warning, it promptly curled its body around her and began to constrict her with crushing force. She emitted a soft groan of pain, trying in vain to free her arms. Due to the way they were pinched against her sides, not even their piston power could hope to free her. “...How could you do this?! He's going to kill us both!” a very distressed White blurted out. Yet, she only received silence in response. Ruby looked away from her to regard the approaching trainer and his pokemon.

From the skies, DIN-00 dropped down riding atop a rather impressive android recreation of Reshiram. He promptly hopped off and produced a second pokeball, tossing it to release a similar robotic zekrom on the other side of the two androids, surrounding them. “...Three. Five-Two. What a pleasure to see you both again.” DIN-00 greeted. At this, DIN-03 approached him and dropped to his knee in the sand, bowing his head. “For the creator.” he bitterly remarked. DIN-00 seemed to hesitate for a moment. He then pulled out a third pokeball and dropped it to reveal a garchomp. DIN-05.2 immediately recognized this garchomp as having previously belonged to DIN-04. The garchomp turned and raised one of its claws to the sky as high as it could, before sharply bringing it down upon DIN-03's neck, decpitating the android.

White screamed at the top of her lungs in a panic, a feat only possible because she technically had no lungs and thus could not technically be suffocated by Milotic's grasp. At her trainer's sudden execution, however, milotic released her and turned upon DIN-00. White fell onto her behind, scrambling back to her feet as quickly as she could. “Serena?? Serena!!” White shouted, hoping and praying that her sister droid would show herself at last. It was the only way she could imagine herself even surviving this encounter, nevermind winning it. DIN-00 bent down and retrieved DIN-03's pokeballs, returning a very reluctant milotic after a moment. He then began approaching DIN-05.2

“...Well, now that that's out of the way. What do you say we have a little chat about your retirement?” DIN-00 asked. “O-Oh no. That's okay. I'm much too young to retire.” White nervously replied, sorta glancing back at Zekrom behind her, who was eyeing her carefully. “Hah! You're funny. Is this the same wit that inspired you to commit treason against our creator and drag me into a public space where innocent pokemon might get hurt?” DIN-00 asked in a light-hearted yet accusing tone. “...N-No... this was more... his idea.” White mousily replied, unable to even look at Ruby's remains. DIN-00 glanced at the fallen android's body and frowned. “...It's a shame that you both malfunctioned so gravely. Perhaps if everything had gone to plan, you would be standing at my side as Queen.” DIN-00 remarked. “...That was supposed to be Five.” White harshly replied, glaring slightly from the corner of her eyes. “Hahaha... And who do you think you were supposed to replace?” DIN-00 replied, returning the glare. “...Honestly, you should be grateful I'm here to stop you. Who knows what sort of unstable thought processes are going through your head. What sort of precious information you may have already leaked... I'm surprised your own manufacturing didn't get you first.” DIN-00 began to casually muse aloud. “I'm not insane! I function fine!” DIN-05.2 protested, becoming quite upset. DIN-00 considered this for a moment and shrugged. “...So said the madwoman to her caretaker. Know only that I do what I'm doing out of love.” DIN-00 distantly replied, gesturing silently for Garchomp to attack. The dragon pokemon shifted into an attack position and roared in a challenge, before lunging out with its arms raised to try and cut DIN-05.2 down before she could get any ideas about trying to prolong this by fighting back!
