Name: John D. Smith
Birthdate: September 9th
Bloodtype: O+
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
Skin: White
Gender: Male
Job: Special Detective
Agency: Global Affairs Intelligence Agency

GAIA Special Detective J.D. Smith wears a black suit consisting of a long black tie over a white collared button up dress shirt, a black suit jacket and black slacks or dress pants, long black nylon socks, black polished leather dress shoes, black leather gloves, black boxer briefs and black sunglasses typical of a C.I.A. spy or government agent. He often wears a wrist watch and sometimes carries a black leather combolock briefcase. Alternately or additionally he may wear a black or khaki colored trenchcoat and a wide brimmed hat. He drives a black 1969 Cadillac S60 Fleetwood Brougham 4 door sedan with a 7L-V8 engine, 3-speed TH-400 automatic transmission, chrome spoked rims, chrome squared mirrors, chrome tapered grill with round headlights, white walled tires, dual fuel tanks and dark tinted windows. Smith's vehicle has been suped up and modified with improved handling and brakes, bulletproof windows and tires and a reinforced armored body, silent exhaust, an acceleration of 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 200mph on the straightaway. He carries two black twin CZ75 SP-01 Tactical fully automatic 9mm Luger pistols of the 9x19mm Parabellum calibur with a 20 round detachable boxclip magazine and a 1,000 RPM rate of fire with regular frontblade rearbox sighting. He also carries a small black Swiss Army foldable pocket knife, a black ball point pen and a RHF 617-1N 3.5mm receiver Surveillance Headset Earpiece with a clear acoustic coil. Detective Smith is described as tall and slender with no real distinguishable markings or tattoos. Detective Smith has had special body modifications in the form of reconstructive laser eye surgery and laser fingerprint removal. He smokes plain non-menthol brandless cigars and cigarettes and sometimes drinks brandy, scotch or whiskey. He normally can be found near strange places and areas associated with paranormal or extraterrestrial activity. However his role or affiliation with such phenomena is still uncertain and there seems to be an aura of mystery surrounding both Detective Smith and the agency he claims to work for.

Agency: Global Affairs Intelligence Agency (GAIA)
Office: Department Of Investigations (DOI)
Location: N/A

GAIA is a top secret government agency involved in the research of paranormal and non-terrestrial activities. Some of the agency's primary concerns are surveillance, collecting data, political assassinations, clandestine black projects or black flag operations, reverse engineering, information control and silencing, infiltration and espionage, space programs, crowd control, global security and scientific research among other missions. The agency has several locations throughout the universe including terrestrial bases, ocean bases, moon bases and non-terrestrial space stations. The agency is extremely secretive and does not disclose any information to the public. It is not known exactly which government, if any, the agency works for. It is funded by black budgets and private ownerships, most likely by a global elite of some kind who wishes to protect their own interests. Some propaganda suggests perhaps that the agency is in league with extraterrestrials or supernatural beings and that some of its agents are in fact non-human or hybrid aliens in nature due to their knowledge and utilization of advanced technology. For this reason GAIA is sometimes compared to the CIA/FBI and places like S4 or Area-51, although they are considered to be unaffiliated and independent from other government agencies.

Special Detective John D. Smith carries a blank white ID card which reads "GAIA Department Of Investigations" containing his name and photo, but there is no logo or other information on the card. He refers to his company only as "The Agency" and prefers not to talk about it. Although he usually appears to work alone, Agent Smith does wear an ear-piece and sometimes is accompanied by a small group of similar agents in black suits. Although the black suits appear normal at first sight, they are in fact made from some kind of flame resistant bulletproof material provided by the agency. Detective Smith's sunglasses are also bulletproof, specially customized to scan his eyes so that only he can use the sunglasses' built-in capabilities. The sunglasses enable him to see in x-ray, night vision, smoke screen, thermal, 3x zoom optics and other settings as well as to help him collect data and gather information. Smith's ball-point pen also has its own capabilities, allowing him to use the seemingly normal writing ink pen as either a flashlight or a weapon. His simple polished black leather dress shoes have also been weaponized with retractable stiletto blades and fitted with soft foam soles to allow stealthy steps when he's walking. Detective Smith also carries a weaponized cellphone that is fully customized and rigged to self-destruct if the wrong passcode is typed in. His wrist watch is no exception, functioning as a holographic communications device, tracking device, a compass for telling direction, a time reader and a small weapon which can spray gas, needles or other customized spyware. His wide brimmed hat is also bulletproof and weaponized.

So begins...

What appeared like a vortex in space-time suddenly appeared in the corner of the room. The walls, floor, furniture and pictures in the corner would become distorted and stretched in a strange spiral to create a portal. Out of it stepped a mysterious figure wearing a classy suit and tie along with a fedora. He was dressed in all black from head to toe, wearing gloves and sunglasses. He did not appear to be holding anything. He had no eyebrows and no facial hair, and he was devoid of expression as he looked around quietly and slowly.

Is everything okay out there? Do you need a terrestrial assist?
he asked inquisitively.

Agent Smith had one mission and one purpose alone, to destroy Cerex and to intercept anything which might pose a threat to humanity. He had been sent to Niihama's surface to investigate a strange reading, or paranormal anomaly detected by the Global Affairs Intelligence Agency, and had teleported to the planet through a one-way portal which placed him randomly in the Taiyou Emperor's throne room. Smith adjusted his fedora and looked around quietly, scanning the area.

After a moment of picking up negative readings on his scanner, Agent Smith would speak into his wrist watch. "I'm not picking up any readings down here. This place is empty. Are you sure we're on the right planet?" he asked his superiors. "Positive detective. Our sources tell us that the anomaly should be somewhere on the planet's surface, not far from your location," a mysterious female voice responded through his transparent earpiece.

"Not far to me? Or not far to you? I'm sure this planet just looks like a dot from where you are, but down here, it's pretty big," Agent Smith commented as he looked around the throne room, keeping an eye out for any sort of computer or camera systems. "Hold on detective, I'm picking up another signal. A strange object was just seen entering the planet's gravitational field. Our estimates say it landed in the Yukikaze suburbs. I'm sending you the coordinates now, the object should appear on your screen," the mysterious female voice answered. John D. Smith would adjust his wrist watch as a small holographic display was emitted from the seemingly normal timepiece, projecting an image of what appeared to be an oddly shaped rock.

"Alaqarans, what are they doing here?" Agent Smith questioned. "I think you already know that answer detective," the woman in his earpiece responded. Agent Smith turned off the holographic display and looked at the coordinates on his wrist watch. He nodded quietly before casually leaving the Taiyou Imperial Palace and heading towards the Expressway, reaching into his coat pocket and pulling out a small tin case. Opening the case, he pulled out a small brandless cigarette and lit it between his lips with a black butane metal liter before sticking the tin case back into his pocket. Agent Smith didn't have a pass, but he was pretty confident that he could get into the Expressway and over to Yukikaze City before the Alaqarans even knew he was there.

As he approached the security at the entrance to the Expressway, he tilted his hat politely and nodded to the guards, silently scanning them with his eyes behind black sunglasses. Agent Smith had noticed that the palace and the people around the city seemed very oriental in appearance. He decided to try and communicate in a familiar language and dialect as he approached the gate. Although he wasn't completely fluent, he knew enough to speak in a way that would make sense to most of the Taiyou citizens he encountered.

"Minasankon'nichiwa, watashinonamaeha ējento Sumisudesu. Watashi wa zen sekai chōhō kikan no keijidesu. Sugu ni koko o oshitōshite kudasai. Sore wa kokka anzen hoshō no mondaidesu."

Agent Smith reached into his pocket and pulled out a white ID card, showing it to the security guards. The card contained his facial photograph and his name, John D. Smith, along with the name of the company he worked for, GAIA Department of Investigations, but did not contain any other information about him. After showing the guards his ID, he would place the card back into his pocket and wait for them to give him a security pass so that he could get on to the Expressway and quickly where he needed to be. The whole time, the detective seemed very relaxed and confident. His classy attire and straightened, unslouched posture made him appear even more professional than the security guards he was addressing as he glanced through the gate out at the Expressway.

Outside of orbit around the planet Terra.

A medium-sized ship, shaped like a triangle with a blunted end, moves slowly towards Terra and the space station above it. The shape and size of this ship may have been seen before, but this one in particular has never been witnessed by any Terran, or as a matter of fact, any species or beings besides the ones who had made it. If they were able to trace it's origins, then it would point to an unexplored area known generally as RA-619, and even more specifically the Glendathu system. The doesn't seem to be armed, and a scan for life would only turn up three humanoid beings.

The ship made no advances of any sort towards the planet or the station, and seemed to just be there. Watching. Peaceful, it seemed, and the crew had no intentions of attacking. But they were truly awestruck. In front of them was a culture, a sophisticated one, unseen to any of their people, and they didn't know how to feel about it. They were just awaiting orders at this point.

Jay Null shrugged and closed the comms. The traffic in the Terran orbital was bustling as usual, an economic boom brought on by the prolonged period of peace. Alas, he knew the endless waltz of history, and had work to do.

Tapping a few buttons on his console, he maneuvered down towards Wing City Spaceport, leaving a faint thruster trail in his wake.

A black 1969 Cadillac S60 Fleetwood Brougham 4 door sedan pulled up slowly to the road barriers. It was a classic old school vehicle, completely obsolete for the time period, or so it seemed as the black cadillac drove up to the police gates. An officer approached the vehicle with a blue LED flashlight and shined it into the vehicle, but the all zero point black tinted windows prevented any light at all from penetrating in, even a little bit.

The officer tapped on the driver side window with his flashlight, at which point he noticed something peculiar. The glass was especially thick. The windows were bulletproof, and custom made to look older than they actually were. The driver side window slid down partially, operated electronically or so it appeared, before a shadowy figure in a black fedora held out a card to the officer.

The officer didn't say anything, but reached for his radio and called it in. The voice on the other end gave him the go ahead. The officer handed the card back to the mysterious driver, who then closed the window again silently. The officer just shook his head and lifted the gate as other officers stepped in to prevent any of the civilians or news reporters from sliding through as the black cadillac drove slowly through the barrier and into the caution zone. Its state of the art 7L-V8 engine revved loudly as the black cadillac turned slowly on to the evacuated highway, passing armoured tanks and military personnel as the mysterious driver took his sweet time getting off the highway.

Eventually as the caddi got closer to the red zone, the driver noticed a few groups of Taiyou soldiers near the roadside who, despite all their tanks, weapons, armour and military equipment, appeared to be confused and slightly distressed. But this didn't seem to detour the old fedora wearing cadillac driver, as he lit up a brandless cigarette and continued driving towards the scene of the original meteor landing. Once he arrived at the large crater where the meteor had landed, the cadillac pulled off to the side of the road and stopped, cutting off its bright round headlights.

The driver side door opened, and out stepped a man dressed in all black from head to toe. He was wearing a black suit consisting of a long black tie over a white collared button up dress shirt, a black suit jacket and black slacks or dress pants, long black nylon socks, black polished leather dress shoes, black leather gloves, black boxer briefs and a black brimmed hat. He looked classy, slender, sophisticated, and completely out of place as he flicked away his half smoked cigarette and approached the military commanders and directors in charge of the mountainous region south of the Yukikaze megacity, one of the few untouched regions left on the planet, where their meteor had crash landed. He removed his fedora and bowed his head formally before introducing himself to General Hama and Director Aramaki.

"Jon Sumisu keiji, kokusai kankei jōhō kikan, chōsa bumon" he said in perfect Taiyou, holding up his identification card before sticking it back into his chest shirt pocket, removing one glove and extending his arm for a handshake. His hand was cold and surprisingly smooth, being completely devoid of fingerprints. His name was Detective John D. Smith, and he seemed very professional. But he didn't appear to be of Asiatic origin. Rather, he was clearly caucasian and somewhat tall and slender with no distinguishable markings, scars or tattoos. He was also completely bald, even lacking eyebrows and eyelashes, something which made him look a little strange at first. But he was obviously human, with all ten fingers and toes, as he approached the large football field sized crater in the middle of the desert and peered down into it, as if looking for something in particular.

But it didn't take him long to realize that whatever he was looking for, it wasn't there. Agent Smith would crouch down and place his hand on the ground, feeling the sand. It was still warm. He noticed the thick mud tracks leading away from the crash site, left behind by the armoured tanks, and the heavy transport trucks. He also noticed the presence of the military and a few stragglers from the radioactive response teams. Agent Smith was too late. The meteor he had come to inspect had already been loaded up and relocated. This was not what the Army should have done, but it was a common mistake among human beings on different planets throughout the universe, and Agent Smith was all too used to dealing with these kinds of situations. He wasn't even perplexed.

After a minute or two of inspecting the area, and realizing that his presence in the vicinity was beginning to draw attention, Agent Smith stood back up and approached the army general. With great authority, he told the general to gather up all of the soldiers and response team workers who had been down in the crater and to have them quarantined immediately before they returned to base. Nobody was allowed to leave the area. It was a matter of extreme importance and national security, for all of them, including the mech-suit workers, had likely just experienced a close encounter of the 3rd kind, and had possibly exposed themselves to more than just a little radiation from a crashing meteor. Both the army, and the response teams had to be protected now, even from themselves it seemed, as Agent Smith asked Director Aramaki where the meteor had been relocated to. It seemed like the detective might pull out some flashy memory-swiping device at any second. But that didn't happen.

Instead, the mysterious detective put his glove back on and lit another cigarette, walking back over to his vehicle. He didn't seem angry, excited, nervous, anxious, frightened or in a rush to go anywhere. Smith was immensely calm, as if he'd been working for The Agency in secret for quite some time. He opened the trunk of his 1969 Cadillac and grabbed a black combolock briefcase before shutting the trunk again. He set the black briefcase on the back of the trunk and stood in front of it, looking back over at the director and the general before opening it. He pulled out a syringe containing some mysterious bright blue liquid, and held it up to the light, examining it.

The Cosmo Falcons banked around hard to port, swinging around wide to verify that the target had indeed been eliminated, sweeping around the lead pilot took one look on the smoldering crater where the armored truck once had been, there had been nothing but molten slag, and debris strewn about the highway.

"Station, this is Wyvern, splash one, target neutralized, we're RTB." He reported into the radio, kicking on the afterburners, and leading the other five Cosmo Falcons back in a northerly direction, with the airstrike successful, they had no further reason to be in the area.

Aramaki, and General Hama were both standing over a display table inside a makeshift command tent, where various officials were moving among their stations, when Smith approached, Aramaki had been talking.

"..as long as we can keep it out of the urban areas..." He abruptly paused to turn to Smith, with Hama not saying another word as the strange man addressed them as some kind of detective.

Hama offered a shrug, and Aramaki stayed mostly quiet as he watched keenly what the man was doing. He had never heard of this Global agency he had mentioned, and he didn't recall it being any part of any government agency he had been familiar with.

"I'm Director Aramaki, Section Nine, and this is General Hama, from the Self Defense Army." The Director said, introducing the man. "On whose authority are you here? Who let you in here?" He asked quizzically, while the General gave him a strange look as he tried to order him, and his men around, though they all stood there and gave Smith a strange look, while looking over to General Hama for any sort of guidance. After a couple moments, an unusual looking blonde with strange, piercing blue eyes moved through the cordon, though unlike with Smith, the soldiers recognized her uniform, and immediately moved to let her in.

"Director, General." She said in perfect Taiyou, though she did not have Asiatic features, either.

"Detective." Aramaki replied, before he turned over to watch Smith closely as he played with some kind of syringe.

"I'll handle it." The woman replied. "We need to get a cordon set up around here, the Marshal will want to speak with you as well, GXP Intel points to a potential extragalactic threat, I'm sure CIS, and the ISSP will want to be briefed as well." She added, before she looked over towards the Detective Smith.

"You, who did you say you worked for again?" She asked, this time in Galactic Common.

Meanwhile, a Gundam truly had breached the atmosphere and entered Terra's lower orbit, coming from Wing City. It was an old AEU-09 AEU Enact Space Type from long ago. As it ascended, it transformed into it's space-faring flight mode shape.

The name of the Gundam was Sol Senshi- and nobody was supposed to be operating it. It had been refurbished for unknown to the public purposes and locked down, hiding in plain sight in Wing City Spaceport.

Who was even operating it?

Whoever they were, they were certainly a criminal now.
