History
After killing his brother Abel, Cain was punished by God, being told that the land would no longer sustain him and give him strength, he was then sent to wander in the lands of Nod, east of Eden. While wandering there, Cain encountered Lilith, his father Adam's first wife. From Lilith he learned the basics of the Disciplines. Cain was then visited by four Angels, agents of God who offered him the chance to repent for Abel's murder. Cain rejected each angel in turn, only to be cursed for each rejection: weakness to fire, vulnerability to sunlight, thirst for blood and constant betrayal. Each of his decedents also endured these curses and are known today as vampires. Dolby was a son of Cain, born into a life he did not deserve for his fathers own sins.

Dolby Venris turned his face with the force of the slap, "Fine... I won't." He turned around and walked to the door.
Dolby Venris stopped with his hand upon the door. "Return to the forest... and I will end all discussion on the topic." His words seemed more like a bribe than an offer.
The setting changes from Gambit's Bar to Twisted Path
Dolby Venris stood behind her, "Do you really want to go back there?"
Dolby Venris sighed, which was an odd thing for him. "You always have a choice..." He put a hand on her shoulder, "I made the choice to try again..."
Dolby Venris sneered at her attitude towards his attempt at compassion, "Forget it..." He pushed past her and entered the Coven angrily.
Dolby Venris stood by the blazing fire in the hall. He seldom showed compassion towards anyone and he had desire to try with her, because of their similarity. Mainly being that they were both appearing to be the same age. He had searched for years to find a vampire he could relate to, he sought our Claudia only to find her remains in a charred building.
Dolby Venris turned around to Lestat's voice. "You have done your part Lioncourt...",he commanded firmly, "Leave the girl be..."
Dolby Venris scowled, "Magnus killed himself after turning you... I will be willing to help you do the same, Lestat..."
Dolby Venris chuckled at her action, "Perhaps, she will help you instead?" He turned back to the fire.
Dolby Venris stood silently. "I have great patience,... Rosetta..." He was not afraid of her anger and decided to call her by the name she loathed in order to get some sort of reaction from her.
Dolby Venris remained in his current position, "Don't be like that, Rosetta..." A smile came across his face this time.
Dolby Venris slammed back against the hearth of the fireplace and stared at her, not struggling, "Rosetta...." His smile remained undaunted.
Dolby Venris landed face first on the floor and got up quickly, "Wait!" He stared at her as a drip of blood ran from his lip. "Rose... please?"
Dolby Venris licked the blood at his lip, "Never mind..." He turned and walked back to the fire place, standing motionless as the light from the fire caused him to appear as a small silhouette.
Dolby Venris stepped out from behind a tree and nudged the body with his foot. "Why so tidy?", he asked curiously. "You act as though you care how their corpses look." He lent down and gouged the corpses throat, leaving no sign of a vampire attack. "I tend to like to make them think it was an animal attack...", he stomps on the corpses face, crushing the facial bones beyond recognition. "But why make it easy for them to find out who it is? Hunting is a game... Might as well make it sporting."
