Elderwood staff; a self carved weapon and walking stick that also denotes her post on the Wizards Council. Gridd can also use the staff as a offensive weapon with a sword spell to make it a dual bladed sword whe nthe need arises.

Even with the sudden heavy rain it was hard to see or hear, but not for certain ears. the funnel remained in the air for some time before it seemed to drop something. barely decernable through the heavy rainfall before the strange funnel in the sky seemed to seal itself and fade into the clouds. The rain then fell in torrents and buckets for a few long minutes before it started to clear and light began to return, albiet slowly.

One one of the many small uncharted islands in the sea not far from the southern coastline A single being laid in the snady beach, the water lapped at her feet up to her knees where she landed. Soaking wet from the rain and water of the sea. It was not easy to see the being because of all the whiteness of both the sand and her own fur.

The first thing that woke the being up was the headache. That and most of the headache was because she hadn't just done the spell correctly, promising a friend that she'd find her missing mate, and that of her magical sibling. It was in fact the fact that she had landed face first on a nearly rotted out log that was more log than rot.

Then she felt it, the headache going away as her hands did a quick check, sword, check, staff, check, tail.... A long yet soaking wet and now very thin and very dirty when it should have been overly fluffy and clean, appendage slaped againgst her stomach, check. She thought. She opened her eyes and looked about. The rain was starting to subside then. The rumbles of thunder wearing down. Where was she ?

With the sky clearing the white female creature saw a shadow, at first it appeared quite large before it got smaller. A bird. Great, carron bird perhap ? No I am quite alive. A slender paw went to her head as she slowly pushed herself to her feet. What a rush. Using her staff she managed to at least roll over onto her back and get out of the water a good bit. Letting the last bit of rain wash into her face and neck the white female creature slowly sat up and looked around.

As she sat up she thought for a moment if her eyes were playing tricks on her as she spotted something briefly, then she saw the bird again. What the skat ? She looked around carefully, Where was she ?

An ear pointed forwards towards the bird, But out of self defense alone the beautiful white staff was in one hand and pointed towards the bird but not 'spell ready' Just something to hold for the moment. The bird spoke. And she understood it. Great part of the spell was understanding langauges! Her stomach rumbled then. Ah skat. Well there was... no, don't think that way. The bird spoke. "That depends." Said a calm and demure voice, strongly feline sounding as she spoke. "On what your defnition of 'alright' is." She replied to the bird.

Getting her feet under her the white feline got to her feet and pulled herself up using her white staff as a item to pull herself up with for support. "If you mean the transport spell yes, the rain, no, that must have been an after effect." She said. She had no weapons on her aside from a silver sword on her back with a dead ash black hilt. For her body she was covered from head to foot in thick white fur, soaking wet. And if not for the fur, stark naked. She was both tall and looked strong and able to defend herself well. She had a long tail, possibly able to hold a weapon or even act as a small pillow. Two conical ears sat upon her head, just like a cat.

"Who are you ? Where am I ?" She spoke in her own langauge of Siamese, the universal Jellicle langauge. But she was able to easily understand the guy before her, and also the bird as well

The white feline looked confused for a moment as the man, he had to be a man, human most likely. She raised the proverbial eyebrow, which was solid white like the rest of her. Only the emerald green eyeshade she wore made note of anything. When he said to repeat herself she gave the feline equal to a frown. A pair of fingers went to the bridge of her nose and she sighed. A breath of wind swirled away from where she stood.

A mental spell of understanding was cast. The spell of understanding that went with the transport spell only allowed for her to understand those on the planet directly. She repeated herself then. "Who are you ? Where am I ?"

Her words were translated as she spoke them, and sent in a transmission straight into Linus's mind. He loved experimental technology, even if it came with the occasional headache. Wincing slightly, he adjusted the volume of the device. He forgot he had it set to loud.

"Linus," He gave his name cheerily, reaching up to pet Marty. "You're on an island in the Solinus Sea, 'know where that is?" She seemed mildly perplexed, the cat lady. He kept a slight distance, for Marty's sake. "Know who you are?" He jested, attempting to lighten the mood. He had never seen a cat woman before, and half wondered if she was the result of some of that crazy magic.

Anyone within earshot of her could understand her words by then thanks to the Understanding Spell, as long as she wanted it cast, other races could easily understand her words. Solinus Sea. "I am on Tellar ?" She asked then. She gave a slidelong glance at the bird and then shook her head. No, that bird was more like a chick, it was too tiny compared to the birds she hunted for her meals. When he joked at wanting her own name she replied simply, yet stoicly "I am called Griddlebone, the White."

The look on her face spelled it all. 'are you kidding, right ?' She did however answer his question. "The Transport spell ? Oh, that was easier then expected. The landing, not so much." She said, casting a glance again at the bird, did he just call her little ? With a smirk she replied to the bird simple, "Look who's talking." She was half tempted to call the bird Feather Duster but kept her tongue. Turning back to the human she said simply. "I'm what you might call a mystic. I'm a Wizard. Hence my name, it is also my title. Griddlebone the White." At the moment she was more dirty then white, but then again a swift swim could clear that up.

She nodded then however, She was indeed on Tellar. "Good, I made it. Just like the other two did." She stepped closer, using her white staff as more of a walking stick, the black hilt of her sword poked over her left shoulder. It was thne that Linus could see that she was in only thick white, yet soaking wet, fur, that was also quite dirty. "You have a way off this ilse ?" She asked him as she stepped nearer. For the moment the white feline woman, who was also quite tall for that matter. was currently trying to keep her gaze locked on the human, the bird however was too small, no meat on that little things bones for sure.

Linus smiled, he liked this bird. It did a lot of the small talk, so he could hang out in his head. From his pocket he pulled a pipe, popping it into his mouth. A button on the side ignited the contents, and he inhaled. While he took a toke, Linus couldn't help but stare at the cat lady. She was sopping wet and full of sand, and a cat lady. Tall, too. Very tall. Too tall. Taller than him.

Should cats even be this tall? He turned and started to walk towards the boat, motioning for the cat lady to follow and exhaling away from Marty.

The feline woman smiled, using her staff as just that she kept a few paces behind the man, who was about a good head or so shorter then herself. Which meant the bird was perfectly eye level with her own eyes. She said nothing in terms of the smoke the man gave off. If she wanted to she could easily produce for him a good sized stogie. If he ever asked. Gridd allowed the human to aid her when it came to getting into the strange craft. She was used t oships. her love had one, though it was quite large, nearly ninety meters long from stem to stern. And then the exotics had smaller craft, skimmers they were called. Akin to longboats. So this boat was not anything that different aside from it was able to co under water ?

When the bird offered a meal of fish she smiled thinly, "If I could eat this soon after transport when I did not eat a day before crafting the spell.... I could eat a Raptordeer." She said in reply to the bird. Though fish was a suitible replacement for a snack. For the moment.

Linus couldn't help but smile listening to the strange cat woman talk with Marty. Quite a day, quite an adventure!

Once they were all safely aboard the craft, it jetted out into the sea. Bobbling on the waves, it reached a cliff, and submerged with the slap of a button. The craft was headed straight for the Hidden Cove.

The waters would begin to bubble next to the ship, as the subaquatic vehicle rose.

There, inside, was Linus grinning like a champ. That was awesome! They had taken most of the ride underwater, and he beamed at his companions as they surfaced. He popped the top, looking to them both as it was grav'd to their main ship's side.

Climbing out, he looked around, scanning for Cetus and the drunk captain from before. They were only gone most of the day.

She had remained quiet then entire trip under water. It was a new way, a way she was not too fond of as a matter of fact. To see the sea, and under it. The small space made it a slightly less bearable. though the human and the bird were kind enough. However the minute the seal was broken and fresh air was felt, Gridd was at the side in a heartbeat, heaving her guts out. She had a thing about not liking small spaces. Well, small spaces she could not get out of. For example the lifeboat under water. Yeah, small space. Hey, at least she was above water again.

After cheking a secon time to see if she had everything, sword, staff, tail... The still sopping wet appendage smacked against her stomach, leaving a dark dirty streak where it slapped her fur. First item of business. she thought. A hot shower.

Griddlebone stepped from the boat onto the dock and then onto dry land. Finally. "Next time, keep it above water. Thanks." The slow movement of her tail meant she was a little nervous but she let it slid for the moment. She needed a shower and she felt magic not far away in use. But there was one thing she was going to do first before going after the feeling to find her missing friends and fellow Jellicles. And that was get a hot shower. "Thanks again. I'd love to stay longer, maybe see if a friend had been by here already, but I have to get going." There was something of urgency in her voice. Though what it was she never told why.
