Pitch the Eevee

"Uh...h-hi..."

0 · 3,010 views · located in Snowpoint City

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by NeverEndingFlip

Description

Name: Pitch

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Eevee

Level: 19

Personality: Pitch is very timid and introverted. He doesn't typically enjoy interaction with people and Pokemon and prefers to avoid them if he can. That being said, the only thing he's not hesitant to do is attack when he feels threatened. He's defense oriented and while he hasn't had much experience in terms of fighting, he has developed fighting strategies that seem to fare pretty well against experienced Pokemon. He does sport the most valiant of hearts and is not afraid to stand up for someone of innocence.

Strengths: Clever. Pitch is rather intelligent for his low level and lack of experience. He knows when to apply what strategy and is often using it to his advantage. He can also detect when he is being led on or fooled.

Defensive. Pitch is very defense oriented, meaning he is focused on his well-being as well as the well-being of any allies he may have. In doing so, he set himself up as such, giving himself a natural defense boost.

Valiant. Pitch is very honorable and moral. This means he gives off a natural feeling of trust in his nature. He is more appealing in that sense, allowing him to make more allies than enemies.

Weaknesses: Weak. Pitch is not the most powerful Pokemon that walked the earth. He doesn't hit very hard and often is found relying on his strategies to fight rather than straightforward combat. In a muscle contest, he rarely wins.

Inexperienced. Pitch has not existed for very long. He's still quite young. He has no concept of how the world works other than what he has encountered thus far. Despite his cleverness, he's naive.

Stubborn. Pitch is very set in his ways. He's eager to learn more, but it's not easy for him to let go of information that is no longer useful to him or proven worthless. This can sometimes make him even harder to interact with which coupled with his introverted nature is kind of a turn off for other Pokemon.

Moves:

Baby-Doll Eyes: A non-damaging Fairy-Type move. The user stares at the target with its baby-doll eyes, which lowers its Attack stat. This move always goes first.
Tackle: A damaging Normal Type move in which the user physically throws his body weight into the opponent.
Tail Whip: A non-damaging Normal Type move that decreases an opponent's defense.
Sand Attack: A non-damaging Ground Type move that blinds the opponents and lowers their accuracy for their next strike.
Bite: A damaging Dark-Type move which deals damage and has a 30% chance of causing the target to flinch (if the target has not yet moved).
Double Kick: A damaging Fighting-Type move which kicks the target twice in succession using both feet.

So begins...

The sinister ray that hit Castol definitely worked, causing him to stumble around a bit as she used facade. Unfortunately for her, the power boost that she would get from facade only worked with a burn, poison, or paralysis effect, not a confused one. So the attack did hit, but not that hard. Recovering from each quickly, Castol spun around, looking for the shifty Umbreon. She's hiding, he realized.

"Where are you, pretty?" he cooed, looking around specifically towards the shadows Glow liked to linger in. In all actuality, he wasn't that damaged. In fact, he was more fired up than ever. He moved his claws, letting them wiggle as he kept his eye out for any sign of her.

This would be an interesting game of cat and mouse...

Something stepped into the alleyway. someone. "What's going on here?" a voice echoed through the alleyway. Glow recognized that voice Mud! Glow paused was he mad? Mud glanced from the charmeleon to the shadows. Glow took Castol's distraction as a quick time to strike. She threw out a focus punch, like the one to the houndoom, now on the ground.
Mud looked at glow in shock as she slammed a focus punch into castol's jaw

The random voice entering the alley threw Castol completely off guard. Turning towards it, the Charmeleon spotted a Donphan staring back at him.

"Who are-" Before he could get the third word out, Glow struck once again with Focus Punch. The surprise guest and the surprise attack combined was enough to lay Castol flat on the floor with the attack. Shaking it off, he got up and set himself into a position he rarely got into: a defensive one.

"Don't think you've won just yet!" he snarled, all the fun and games he carried in his eyes gone. Only fiery rage remained, "By the end of this night, I will have you beaten within an inch of your life and made to suffer!" and with that, he ran out of the alleyway. and into the streets of Nimbasa City. At some point during the fight, the Houndoom and Sneasel had recovered and made their exits unnoticed. It was just Glow, the Donphan, and the unconscious Pitch lying behind the large boulder in the alleyway.

Glow dropped down on the ground, panting.
Mud went up to her and nudged her. She looked up to see Mud's shocked face. "Glow?!: He yelped.
She nodded. "Yep." She stood and shook her now dirty pelt.
Mud glanced at the exit " What was that all about?"
Glow glanced at Pitch. "Trust me. It's a long story.."
Mud nodded. "who's the eevee?"
Glow glanced at pitch "He's Pitch."
Mud said to glow, eyes glowing nervously "Why did all of you guys leave?"
Glow looked down. "we all have different reasons"
She glanced over at Pitch. Still knocked out. "Do know any way to help him?"
Mud nodded. " Just let him rest."

It was morning. The air in the forest was fresh, crisp, and cool. The morning dew shimmered in the beams of the sun that made it through the canopy and onto the forest floor. The slight breeze rustling the trees and the occasional caw of the Pidgey were the only noises at this moment in time, although it would get busier. In the middle of a clearing sat an Eevee and a Flareon, both awake and relaxed. The two were watching the forest wake up and spring to life once more.

"You see that, Pitch?" the Flareon nodded at the sudden movement in the trees not to far from where they were. Pitch glanced up, trying to look for it. After a bit, he spotted a big, yellow, fuzzy looking creature climbing down the tree.

"Yeah," Pitch nodded, looking back towards the Flareon. Her big bushy tail wrapped around him in a loving manner.

"That's a Joltik," she told him, "It's an Electric-Type, but it can't produce it's own electricity to use against enemies."

Pitch looked up at her, "So how does it use Electric abilities, then?"

"It absorbs static electricity," she answered, "From Pokemon who don't mind."

"Oh," Pitch went back to staring at the yellow spindly bug, "It looks cool."

The two of them watched the Joltik climb down the tree and off into the forest, ready to take on it's daily activities.

"Mom, will I look like you when I evolve?" Pitch asked suddenly. His mom smiled.

"If you want to," the Flareon said, "You have a decision that nobody else has, Pitch. You can choose what type you evolve into. It can be me or it can be another Eevelution."

Pitch stopped to think about that before saying, "I think I want to be like you."

His mom laughed, "Oh, you don't have to worry about it now, dear. That decision is still a ways away. Take your time with it. See what looks comfortable to you."

"Alright," Pitch looked up where a flock of Pidgeys were flying overhead. Seeing them up there made him smile. "Mom, where are we going to go?"

The Flareon stopped, looking away for a moment. "It's a new place...a place I never thought I'd go..."

Pitch looked at her, concerned, "Does that make it bad?"

His mom turned around with a reassuring smile, "Not necessarily, sweetie. It makes it interesting. Like an adventure." Pitch's ears perked up at that word. He liked adventure.

"What's this place called?" he asked, excitement brewing in his eyes.

"Nimbasa City," his mother replied.

Everything hurt.

Groaning, Pitch squeezed his eyes shut, wincing from the pain that was all over his body. Man, he thought, I feel like I got hit by a Bulldoze... He slowly started to get up, but collapsed quickly. He didn't have enough strength to manage it. Not yet, anyway.

Not daring to try again just yet, he opened his eyes and viewed his surroundings. He was still in the alleyway, so that was a good sign. It means he wasn't dead or worse...in the capable hands of Castol. He shuddered at the thought. He also saw Glow talking with...was that a Donphan? He couldn't tell from the floor angle, but he could definitely see the glowing rings of the Umbreon.

"Urk..." he uttered, trying to shift positions so he could see better. He finally was able to lay on his belly, his legs sprawled around him. Other than that, he really couldn't move with the amount of pain and lack of energy he had. "What...happened...?" he asked the Umbreon through heavy breaths, "Where's Castol?"

Glow paused. "Oh. you're up. Good to hear. oh, by the way, this is Mud. He is an old friend of mine. And about Castol, he kinda ran off. I hit him in the jaw with a focus punch." With that she added a little giggle." You should have seen the look on his face! This place needs some better defense" That last part Glow said half to herself. She watched as Pitch fell to the ground and quickly sat him on one of the rugs. "Are you okay?" She asked nervously. She glanced over at Mud.
"What are you doing all the way in unova?" She said.
Mud paused. what am I doing here? Mud glanced at the exit and the footprints that the strange charmeleon had left.
"Uh, I really don't have a clue. After you guys left, I went to find you. And it seems you evolved." Glow looked at him with a tickled look. " Same with you. "
Mud nodded. "So now what?" He thought I hope rest. I am SO tired. Why did i come all the way to Unova of all places. Must of been some instinct.
Glow sighed. "I think everyone can agree to rest and eat. We have been fighting all day. It's almost midnight. Im gonna go find something good left out in the store." She darted off and sniffed around in the store. A basket of bread! something snarled behind her. She did not stop to look behind her. She darted out of the store. Not another sound came. she leapt over a trashcan and dropped the bread basket and panted. "Here. We might want to try a different place for a little while.." She glanced at her friends and smiled.

He gave an inclining nod to Mud as a welcome, "Pleasure to meet you. I'm Pitch." He winced as he was pushed by Glow onto the rug. "I'm fine," he told her, "I just need rest up. Castol hits pretty hard."

As he lay there in a slightly more comfortable position, he watched the conversation between them, realizing just then that they'd met before, but not recently it seemed. Interesting... he thought as he lay on the rug. Better here than on the floor.

Glow offered to go get some food. Pitch wasn't exactly hungry, but he learned to always eat when food was there because who knew when there'd be another chance. So he let her go out to find it. And then it was just him and Mud. This was a bit awkward as he really didn't know anything about Mud. He didn't know when he'd arrived and if he'd done some damage to Castol or not. But he'd attempt to break the ice anyway.

"So...how did you and Glow come to knowing each other?" he asked, hoping the question wasn't too personal.

But before he could answer, Glow was back, with a basket of bread. He lifted himself off the ground slowly and onto his feet. It still hurt, but less than before. And he found that he could manage a walk. Definitely an improvement from when he tried the first time. He didn't push it, walking very slowly to the basket of bread, taking his time with it.

"I agree," Pitch said to Glow about finding a different place, "Castol's a mean fighter, but the real danger is the group he leads. There are all kinds of powerful Pokemon you just pissed off by making Castol retreat. He's going to come back and he's going to come back with everyone. And I'll warn you now, that isn't a small number of henchmen he leads." He took a bite out of the bread. It was cold, but it wasn't stale. Also, it was food, so he couldn't complain, "We would need an army of Pokemon to back us if we wanted to fight him."

He'd considered the possibility of leading such an army against Castol and his gang, but decided against it. For one, Pitch wanted no part of the power struggle for the nooks and crannys of Nimbasa City. But mainly, he didn't believe they'd unite under his cause. There were too many varying opinions. And being led by an Eevee would also leave a bitter taste in the more arrogant Pokemon's mouth.

Glow flinched at the harsh words the Pitch used. She nodded. "An army would be useful. If only I knew where the others are." I do miss Ivy, Auroa, Zap, And Fluff. Should we go back to the forest? Could the rest of the team be there? Is he there? If so, what would I do? Pitch is right, we would need an army. But how?

Mud glanced at Pitch. "W-" He stopped as glow appeared, And she shook her pitch black pelt.
Is that bread? His stomach rumbled. Glow glanced at Mud. "go ahead and take a piece." Mud smiled and nodded a thanks. He grabbed a crescent shaped piece of bread. He ate it and he remembered about what Pitch said. do I even remember how I met Glow?
Glow watched as the moon rose. i wonder what Ivy is doing... She shook grabbed a long piece of bread. I hope Pitch gets better She glanced at the eevee. She thought about those herbs that grow near warm, damp spots. She glanced at Pitch. He looked awfully battered up. She glanced then at Mud, he just looked plain worn out. She then glanced over her pitch black fur. She winced as she spotted a place throbbing where she had been clawed. The skin underneath was torn some, but not enough to bleed.
She then noticed a burn mark on her left shoulder that felt like it was ablaze. She glanced over to her store of healing berries. Crap. No Rawst Berries. She shook her pelt and flinched at the burn and bruises that Castol had left from battering her left and right. She growled. He was going to pay. She shook her fur, rings glowing in an eerie way as she let out a sigh. Everyone needed to rest.

Pitch's ears rose at the sound of Glow's words. Others? But Glow didn't expand on the thought, rather choosing to stare at the moon. He couldn't blame her. It was pretty tonight.

Mud had now approached the basket of bread and started eating...which reminded him of the original question. Mud had forgot to answer. Pitch was about to speak up about it when she remembered that Glow had been previously captured by a human. It was likely during that time together. Or maybe it wasn't, but if it was he didn't want to bring up her former trainer in front of her, given how upset she'd gotten talking about it back at the auditorium.

It was then that Pitch's attention was back on Glow as she started scanning her supply of berries and growled, not finding what she was looking for. Curious, Pitch looked at the Umbreon and spotted a couple of wounds, a disheveled patch of fur on her side that looked like she'd been clawed at some point. There was also the noticeable burn on her shoulder, either from Castol or from the Houndoom accompanying him, that was placed there. She didn't get away unscathed.

"Well, I think we should all rest," Pitch spoke up, rising from the rug, "But I don't think we should do it here. Castol's coming back tonight and if he sees us here...well, I don't want to think about it. But we need a place to hide from him until at least tomorrow." Pitch was rather fatigued as well. He wasn't sure he was going to make it to the place he had in mind, but he'd try for as long as he could.

"I think I know a place we can go," he continued, "It's not too far and I'm pretty sure Castol doesn't know about it. We can get some rest and figure out what to do tomorrow." He slowly trotted to the exit of the alleyway and turned back towards Mud and Glow, "I can't go very fast, but I know the way. We should also take some food and berries with us before we leave," Pitch gestured towards the basket, which still had some bread in it, but could also hold a lot of berries.

Glow nodded. She started to limp around, favoring her wounded shoulder. She started to get her berries into the basket. She started with her group of oran berries when we get to where pitch is talking about, we should have some of those to healshe then grabbed her small supply of pecha berries Those cure poison, right? She grabbed her cherri berry, she only had one left.
She picked up the last group of healing berries, wrapped up in a bundle. Her aspear berries.
Mud glanced at Pitch I should answer his question, but when? will I get a chance? he glanced at glow, gathering up a various amount of berries. He walked over to the rugs Glow had placed atop something that seemed pretty hot. He lifted the rugs with his trunk. The rugs were still pretty warm. Where is this place Pitch is talking about? He glanced at Pitch who had been momentarily staring at the moon. He looked up. seems pretty.
Glow gathered up the rest of her food and placed it in the basket. "One last thing" she said. Glow trotted over to a rock and picked up a dark blue amulet. She let out a sigh. Castol did not find it. She muttered something under her breath. She put them amulet on quickly. "Okay. I'm ready. Mud, are you?"
Mud glanced at Glow Is that..... Auroa's amulet? He nodded "As ready as I will ever be." He muttered. He stopped. Who is Castol? Is he taking this place over? Let's hope not. As they ragtag group began to follow Pitch' lead, Mud asked "Who exactly is Castol? I mean I know he is a charmeleon. But who exactly is he?"

Pitch waited until the two got everything they needed. Pitch had walked over to another part of the alley, putting on a dark blue amulet. He couldn't help but wonder what secrets it held and if it was sentimental to her or just an item to help them fight. Nevertheless, he wasn't going to stop her from bringing it.

"Okay, then follow me," Pitch peered around the corners, looking for any signs of a threat before slinking out into the open street. It was midnight, yet there was still so much activity going on. The late owls were up and about, partying until the crack of dawn. After all, Nimbasa was the entertainment capital of Unova. He'd have to be a bit careful of the Pokemon Catchers that walked around, searching for wild Pokemon to take to the Pokemon Center.

He turned the corner to the next street right as Mud asked the question. "Castol is the leader of a pretty mean gang here in Nimbasa," he told him as they walked, "He calls them the Crusaders. I call them the Street Hocks." He stopped, eyeing a Pokemon Catcher walking about and patrolling the area. At least they were bad at their jobs... he thought as he watched the man walk right on down the street, never stopping. Pitch started walking again, talking as well, "He commands a legion of Pokemon who follow his beliefs. And if you're looking for an exact number of Pokemon followers he has...about a hundred." He let that sink in as he trotted onto another street, the destination visible from their vantage point.

The Ferris Wheel.

"The Crusaders are only one of the gangs around here," he went on, keeping the Ferris Wheel in his sights, "There's the Long Horns who run over this part of the city, the Juggernauts who have some of the northern parts of the city, and the Family who has the Western side. The Crusaders are the most brutal and they have the most members. The Family is just...creepy. The Juggernauts keep to themselves, hating almost everyone while the Long Horns focus on defending their area. There's a huge turf war going on between the four. And the Crusaders are winning it..."

It was a good thing the trio had left when they did.

A few minutes later, Castol had arrived at the alleyway with about twenty Pokemon backing him up. Growling at the abandoned place, he walked in and looked around a bit. No sign of the three of them. They had taken the food, the berries, even the rugs, leaving nothing for Castol to claim other than an empty space. Out of rage, he ran up and smashed the boulder with Dragon Claw, breaking it into multiple pieces.

His main assistant, Dewy, stepped forward. "Well, we got the place. That was easy."

Castol lunged for him, grabbing the Purrloin and lifting him to meet his eye level, "We are not done," he spoke through gritted teeth, "I want those three found...now!" he threw Dewy on the ground and turned back to the alleyway, searching for clues towards their whereabouts.

"But-" Dewy said as he picked himself up, "We have what we wanted. Mission accomplished, right?"

Castol gave a mean look to Dewy, causing him to cower slightly, "It's more than that. They think they can challenge me. So we have to quell that fighting spirit within them. Because I won't have anyone walking around thinking they're better than me!" He smashed the concrete of the alleyway, causing cracks to spread around him. "Find them! NOW!"

The group of twenty quickly divided into searching parties and started looking for the three. Castol looked around at the space he'd fought in...the space he'd obtained. It was more property for him, at least.

But it was much more than that to him. Castol's eyes glanced at the pieces of rock he'd just taken his anger out on a moment ago. This was revenge. And he was going to get his, one way or the other.

"There it is."

Pitch's eyes lit up at the sight of the dark alcove next to the building. They were right under the Ferris Wheel, it's glowing lights making the world around them a sea of carnival colors. Except for one spot.

It was a place he knew Castol's goons wouldn't bother looking as the Wheel itself grabbed so much attention. That's what made it perfect. Right underneath the Ferris Wheel was a room for maintenance that was barely accessed and certainly not at night. The window was left open slightly so that air could seep in and keep the place cool. Or so that Pokemon running from a Gang leader could have a place to sleep for the night.

Sneaking in through the window, he opened it all the way so that Mud could get in. Even with it open, it would be a close fit for him. "Go ahead and lay out the food and such when you get inside," he told them.

Glow looked at the room. Auroa's Amulet! She glanced at Pitch, oh, he got it. phew. Better ask for it back She layed her basket down. She glanced at Pitch and walked up to him. "Hey, uh could I have that Amulet back?" She asked, hopeing he would give it back.
Mud glanced at the place. Kinda drafty.. It will have to do. He glanced at Glow, who was asking him about something.
Why are we running? What in the name of Arceus is happening? He set down the rugs with his trunk. Man, its cold in here. I hope it's a good thing I covered our tracks behind us. Of course it is. I don't think they want whoever Castol is finding us.
He dropped on the ground. He glanced at Glow. "Hey, Glow, by 'Others' did you perhaps mean the team?
Glow glanced at mud, lying in one of the rugs. She nodded. She looked at Mud. "Do think Auroa is still out there somewhere?"
Glow glanced at Pitch. He seemed to be listening somewhat. She turned back to Mud. What is castol going to do if he finds us? She glanced at Pitch. Should I tell Pitch about the others?
Mud paused Is Auroa out there? I know he said he was around Unova.... What did he say? Mud paused, thinking about what Auroa said when he left.

Auroa looked up at the moon. ''Mud, Ivy, Glow, Zap, Fluff, I have to leave. If you ever happen to need me, I will be in Unova, in a city that the trainer mentioned. I think its called nimbosa, maybe spelled differently. I am leaving at sunrise." He paused and glanced at the eevee, Glow. Her eyes sparkled sadly. "Why are you leaving?" Auroa paused. His eyes sparkling sadly. "This trainer is going to do something bad to us all. so everyone, I broke your pokeballs, so run as far as you can." With that he pulled off his amulet. "Glow, take this. it possess strength keep it with you always." Auroa then dashed off into the woods. Mud watched as Glow darted after him. Ivy started to walk away, but she whispered into the air "Goodbye Glow, I hope to see you again." The young Bayleef walked off, dragging her feet. Zap chimed loudly, not understanding, being somewhat young, "I'm going to explore Unova with Glow!" he darted after them sparks jolting from his cheeks in joy. The pichu was gone in an instant Fluff started to flap her cotton like wings as she waved a goodbye. Mud watched in disbeleif as the Swablu flew away, dissappearing into the clouds. Mud sat down, tears streaming down his face. "Why, why did everyone just leave me..." He shook himself. "I have to be strong. I am going to reunite everyone. Since most of them went on teh way to Unova, I will go there. He raced away, ears flapping as he ran.

Pitch waited until Glow and Mud had entered before giving one more glance around him and entering himself, placing the window in it's original position. He smiled at them, "Okay, home sweet home...at least for a day. Castol shouldn't be able to find us in here. We can rest."

Glow walked up to him and pointed at his neck. Pitch looked down and saw Glow's Amulet there. Woah, how did that get there? Pitch wondered. He didn't remember putting it on. "S-sorry, I didn't mean to wear it. Here," he shrugged it off his shoulders and held it out with his paw.

As he did, he thought about the measure he'd taken. This could work out...or this could end up with us worse off. There were other dangers to keep in mind besides Castol. For one, if a human were to walk in here by chance, he would end up calling the Pokemon Catchers and they'd all end up in the PokeCenter. Another was the Long Horns. They were highly territorial and focused on their side of the city. If the three of them were to be spotted by one of their members, especially Pitch since he was known to live in Crusader territory, they would go nuts.

"Team?" he asked curiously as he went and sat down on one of the rugs, "You know others? Are they here in Nimbasa?"

Glow nodded as she put the Amulet on. "I used to belong to a human, with five other pokemon, Mud being one of them." At the mention of his name, Mud glanced at them. "Whatcha talking about?" Glow looked at him with annoyed eyes "The others" Mud glanced at her, brow furrowed for a second then nodded, realizing who she meant.

Aurora glanced around, muttering. "I know Glow and is around here somewhere I swear I can sense Glow's aurora!" He paused, hearing a collection of hushed voices, as if they were hiding. As he walked towards the voices, the feeling of familiarty grew stronger. He looked at the moon, then at the ferris wheel. As he walked over, the room began to light up softly. Aurora inched closer. He walked up to the door, and knocked. "Hello, may I come in?"

Glow paused. The voice at the door sounded familiar, but different. She glanced outside, seeing a Lucario. "What is your name?" She asked. The Pokemon replied "a-a-aurora.." Glow burst out the door. "Aurora! it's me! Glow!" The pokemon looked surprised for a moment but then embraced her. Mud poked his trunk out. :Uh, I hate to break up the reunion, but ould you guys be quiet and come in so I could say hi? He's my friend too!"

Mud looked outside as he heard the name Oh my arceus, he's alive! he was about to tackle his friend in a friendly gesture, but Glow beat him to it. After he called the two in, they all took a second to talk, but not too long before he noticed the eevee standing in the corner. "Who's this?" asked the lucario.

Pitch recalled the time when she had said she'd gotten captured. But he didn't press the matter as to how she escaped or what was up. He was genuinely curious. "Ah, so that's how you two know each other," he said, staring at Mud, then back to Glow, "Is that why you guys are here...to meet up?"

Just then he heard a knock on the door. On guard, he immediately backed into a corner and out of view of anyone who may or may not enter. "Guys, hide!"

But the voice that came through wasn't Castol's. Glow seemed to recognize it, however. She walked towards the door expectantly, and peeked her head around the corner. Overhearing the conversation, Pitch realized that Glow had made good friends with this Pokemon before and when Mud walked over with the same recognition in his eyes, he knew it was from the same place. This was another of their group.

And then suddenly all the attention was on him. The three looked at him expectantly as Pitch realized that he hadn't introduced himself to the Lucario. He slowly walked out from the corner. "I-I'm Pitch," he stammered, looking down as he did so, "And you are?"

Aurora glanced down at the young eve. "oh, I'm Aurora." He looked at Glow, wearing an amulet. The amulet he had given to her. "You still have it." He said to Glow. She glanced at the amulet and nodded. "So, Glow, why are- how are you here in Nimbasa City?"

Glow looked at Aurora. "I uh- followed you when you left." Aurora nodded. "Why did you follow me?" Glow looked down, "I, didn't want to be alone...." He looked at her, an understanding look in her eyes. "I can understand. You were kind of young." Glow nodded, still tired. "How about we sleep? Everyone must be tired." Mud said, seeing how awkward this was for everyone. Everyone looked at him but then agreed. Glow noticed Aurora was standing awkwardly, and then Glow realized there were only three rugs. "You can have mine, Aurora." He nodded but the replied "Thanks, but how about I find my own? I don't want you to sleep on the floor." Glow smiled at his kindness and she said "I think there is a spare back at my place, but I don't want to risk going back there...'' Her eyes trailed off, and Aurora noticed the distress deep behind her glowing eyes.

Mud noticed a loose top on one of the carts. He leapt up and tugged it off with his ever-so-useful trunk. "Here. Aurora can use this until we find another rug to use." Glow blinked at him thankfully and they went inside. They trotted inside and all curled up on the mats. When the sun rose, the trio- now foursome, of pokémon woke up, fully rested.

Except Aurora. He had a fitful sleep, worrying about what had happened to Glow that had upset her. He thought to himself If something- or someone, has done something to Glow, will they do it again? Is she going to be even more hurt? He had noticed the burn on Glow's shoulder but had not gotten the chance to ask her about it. Glow and the others were up, discussing something. He glanced over, listening in. "We can't go back, Castol is still there."
"But we need to find a new place. And something for your shoulder, Glow!"
"I am not risking anyone else getting hurt and I'm fine!" She growled in a reply. Aurora knew whatever had happened to her that she was not okay. She seemed on a short temper, something she was not usually, when had had known her, worrying over her friends and trying to care for herself. Aurora knew she needed some help.

Pitch blinked his eyes open to the sunlight filtering in through the window. With a groan, Pitch pulled himself up and stretched his legs and back, removing the stiffness that sleep left on his body. Satisfied, he looked around the room, noticing that two of them were talking in the corner. Mud and Glow, he realized. He also saw that Aurora was up, listening in on the whole affair. There was concern in his eye. He couldn't keep his gaze off of Glow. Pitch walked to him and sat down.

"Something bothers you," he said to Aurora as he watched the two go back and forth on the debate, "Something about Glow. I take it it wasn't the happiest of separations between you guys?"

Aurora glanced at Pitch. He nodded. "But that's not why I am worried." He glanced at Pitch, then Mud, Then Glow. He glanced at Pitch. "Do you know where any Rawst Berries are?" He hoped that Pitch did.

Glow looked at Mud. She sighed. ''I know we need to find a new place. But where?" She stood up, glancing at Aurora and Pitch talking. Mud Glared at her. "You need to heal....." Glow nodded. "I know...." Mud's gaze softened. "I don't want to to get hurt again..."

Mud thought in his head Glow needs something to help her heal. he stood up, "We should probably leave." Glow nodded. "We need to get out of here." People's voices started to ring out from a distance.

Pitch could only stare at Glow with concern, unsure of what Aurora meant by that. Sure, the obvious issue was there in plain view. She needed a Rawst Berry or that wound was gonna keep hurting. But there was something more to her. Pitch couldn't describe it because he'd only known her for less than a day. These other two, Mud and Aurora, knew her presumably a good portion of her life if not all of it. So they could sense better than he could that something was wrong with her.

Pitch glanced at Aurora and he nodded, "I know where there might be Rawst Berries. Mind you, they won't be easy to get to." he turned to the other two and trotted up to them, "Yep, we should. This place will be opening up soon. But I think I know a place that'll do something for those wounds..."

Sneaking around in the daytime was different and easier than sneaking around at night. With the patrol at night, wild Pokemon stuck out like a sore thumb with a lack of people walking around the city, exposing those who didn't have trainer partners. In the day time, it could be harder to spot, depending on where you went. Because Nimbasa was such an entertainment hub for everyone, there were crowds of people in some places. Sneaking among them was easy, although the traditional way wasn't out of the question either. More options meant more space to work with meaning more places they could go...more places they could hide.

The four had made their way from the Ferris Wheel to another part of the area, though they stayed in the area ran by the Long Horns. This was favorable, as Castol would have a tougher time retrieving them from someone else's territory. It was one of those tactical reasons who he wanted the Crusaders to take over the Slum Dogs of Nimbasa, to get to who he wanted to wherever whenever. It was a thought that chilled Pitch to the very core. No one deserved that future.

Pitch glanced up at the familiar sights of the building where him and Glow had met. The Amphitheater seemed to glow in the daytime rather than being shadowed by the night. With a grin to Glow, he sprinted forward, making a graceful leap from the stands onto the stage. "This is the Amphitheater," he told the other two, "It's where I met Glow. And it's also where I keep a tiny storage bank in case I run into Pokemon like Castol." He'd scattered these little "assortment kits" across the lower half of Nimbasa City, containing a variety of items he didn't have a use for at the time he'd scavenged them, but saved in case future use was required.

Let's hope this one had what he was looking for...

Pitch began scaling the steps, leading higher and higher into the inner mechanics of the theater stage itself. Hopping onto a truss, he steadied himself before walking hundreds of feet above the other three. He'd put this one high up to keep others from finding it, a standard way of making sure things stay hidden. Still, sometimes if Pitch looked down, he'd get the feeling of vertigo form how high he really was above them. So he concentrated ahead, keeping his eye on the prize: a bag that was strung up like the other sand bags to raise and lower the pipes people put backgrounds on. However, this bag had a rope that wasn't liked to any of the trusses. It was a brilliant place to store some items.

Careful not to fall, Pitch stepped forward and reached, swiping the bag to himself and grabbing it with his teeth. Hurriedly, he made his way back, across the truss, to the stairs, and once more at stage level. He sighed in relief.

"Okay, let's see what we got," he said through gritted teeth which were holding on to the bag. He dropped it, opened it, and began sifting through the contents, "Oran Berry, could use that later...a scarf...a small, half finished bag of PokePellets...ah!" Pitch smiled as he pulled out the familiar blue raspberry looking fruit. "I do have one! Here!" he tossed the Rawst Berry to Glow before dumping out the rest of the contents. A Cheri berry, another scarf, a berry with a unique purple bumpiness to it, and two Electric Gems.

"Alright...how are we going to divvy up the supplies?" he asked, staring at the potpourri of items in front of them before taking the Oran Berry, "We'll likely need one of these later. Also, I guess we can finish off this bag of PokePellets..." he grabbed the small bag as well and started dropping the Pellets in front of each, starting with Glow, then Mud, then Aurora before pouring a portion for himself. "They have the consistency of Saw Dust, but it's better than nothing." he added before taking a bite. They were a bit stale, but that was to be expected when it came from a bag he chose to let sit there for quite some time. "Anything else, guys?"

  1. Should Zap join? I think that would be cool. If not, Should he start his own gang?

    by Hopeislife
  2. I think he should...but I also liked the angle you approached RPing with him...as a mistaken villain. I'll play towards that in my next post.

    by NeverEndingFlip
  3. Thanks! I wanted to go towards that angle, but in a way show how desprate he was for food. I could think any regualr creature would do this.

Glow blinked thankfully at Pitch. She ate the food and she glanced at the others. "I think there is some popcorn in here somewhere." She darted into the concession stand and spotted some stored popcorn containers. she pulled at the lid of one with her teeth and popcorn spilled out everywhere. "Come get it guys!" She chimed.
Mud glanced at the Rawst berry. He glanced at Pitch, then Aurora, then the theatre. "This is where you met Glow?" He looked at the area around him. "I need to thank you, if you had not met her, I probably never would have found her.
Aurora looked at the scarves. "I have seen those in the clothing shops before. What kind are those? I have not used them before."
If we could find Zap, those electric gems would be useful. He asked Pitch "I know someone who might be able to put those to use.. may I keep them in case?" He looked at Glow, who had opened the popcorn bucket. She had kernals over her fur. He held back a laugh as she trotted there.

Zap darted through the alley, looking around. As a houndoom came around the corner, he jumped behind a trashcan. He looked at the charmeleon. He glanced at the swarm of pokemon, all seeming in a bad mood, were searching around for a scent of something. "The umbreon is nowhere in sight." One growled. "Neither is the eevee." The charmeleon growled in an angry way. Zap looked around, spotting a trail of footprints. Maybe if he found these pokemon he could have shelter and food. He covered the footprints at he went, so nobody could find them. He found himself at the entrance to the amusement park. Another trail of footprints lead out. There was another trail close by. He glanced at them maybe if I brought them in, plus the extra pokemon they would let me in! He darted off quickly.
