Helthas Sedra Vrass smiled, the expression nothing less than bitter. "There is only one in this world that hates him more than I do. I know the truth, and I hate him most of all." His laughter was quiet and without mirth. "I hate him, but I can't ever say he's at fault for forgetting. He's done things that no man should ever do; he's a coward, a liar and a cheat, but only because that's all he can do to survive. I can't blame him for being so afraid and so broken when I'm part of the reason, even though I hate him for it."
Ginny looked rather surprised at Vrass' speech. "I won't pretend I know what you're talking about... Whatever he's done wrong - that has to be the worst imaginable punishment for it, being so... like that. It's not at all nice." If anything, Ginny looked tired. Today had been hard enough as it was, attempting to clean up Siren's messes whilst keeping a still rather upset Cerenah happy... Now it seemed like she'd just introduced someone else to her that she was going to grow to love only to have him taken from, too.
Helthas Sedra Vrass huffed. "He isn't my brother; he is myself." He flashed her the same bitter smile. "He was made from me, to be a replacement should everything else in our world fall apart. He's very old, and very young all at the same time, and baring accident or idiocy, he'll live for a whole lot longer." Reaching out, he placed his free hand on her shoulder. "If you choose to grow close to him (and you're my card, so you're bound to), then I can tell him what he needs to know of you. It's worked before, and it can work again if it needs to."
Ginny "I can hardly decide on something like that after knowing him for just half a day, but... In the event that we might need something like that, I suppose it would be appreciated," Ginny mumbled, moving out from beneath Vrass' hand to take her daughter into her own arms to replace in her bed. "You seem a lot harsher than Sedra does... but you're very gentle with Cerenah," she noted as she stood, Cerenah curled happily under her blankets by now. "And as for this 'bound to' nonsense - do you know something I shouldn't?"
Helthas Sedra shrugged, his painted grin very much in place. "I remember everything I ever see in complete honesty, and I am Vrass, the defender; a soldier: I'm harsh by nature. Sedra has far more innocence than I have." He looks down at Cere. "And I like children, especially children whose cards are in my house."
