An elite boarding school for monsters takes on a human project. [OPEN]

Introduction

Warren High
School for Monsters and Humans

Image

This Prestigious school...for monsters has been around for centuries, providing a boarding school experience and extensive education to the youth of the rich and powerful. Equivalent to Ivy League or oxford, Warren High is one of the best equipped schools around for young monsters.

However...

This forth coming year will have an experience like no other. For the first time in written history, Warren High will have a split year catering for monsters AND humans. This project, an idea that has been circling through out both human and monster government for a long time, is finally taking place in the boarding school. The monster and human children will go through ONE school year together in a hopeful attempt to successfully merge monsters and humans. This project will either make or break the future prospect of the human and monster society becoming one.

The government believe that the only way the two worlds have a chance of merging is if the children of both worlds can accept one another and exist in harmony.

Humans

Humans will be fresh from an ordinary secondary school, and have chosen to go onto higher education. All the teenagers are intelligent and it's believable they were accepted into Warren High via something along the lines of an academic scholarship. The children are aware the boarding school is 'special' but haven't quite grasped the real reason why.
They will have no knowledge of the monster world prior to their attendance at the boarding school, and have been selected by both governments for being intelligent but primarily normal. The project is purely need to know, and contained.

Worst comes to worst- a few children tragically perished in an accident. Or they ALL perished.

Human Teacher: Julian Preston.

16 year old Human Girl: Emily Bennett.
16 year old Human Girl: Anne Luther.

16 year old Human Boy: Tyga Prince
16 year old Human Boy:Bram Kappel

Monsters

Monsters will be from all over with different circumstances, from having to turn 100 before they can go to school to leaving a form of secondary school specifically for their species. Warren High can usually be the first time many monsters have stayed away from home, their own kind or experienced such a vast variety of other monsters. Some will be mature, others immature and there will be a vast ratio of harmless to dangerous children at the school. There may even be monsters who are the prey and predators of one another.

This is the part most of you are dying to see, what monsters are packed into this juicy boarding school, and the answer is all kinds. Vampires, Lycans, fairies, imps, elves, ogres, minatours, witches, sirens, demons and many more the human world doesn't include in Mythical stories. Breathe it all in. All monsters will have a glamour, which allows them to take on a human form. Some monsters will need it more than others.

There will be no limit to mythical creatures however I will ask to keep an equal balance of the following:

  1. 1: Good and evil monsters. There will be young monsters eager to exist alongside humans and other monsters brought up to believe humans are intelligent food.
  2. 2: Species head count. If there's already one or two vampires, pick something else, create something new and different! I'll be giving you room to be imaginative so don't feel the need to cling too tightly to stereotypes.
  3. 3: It would be nice to have a few male characters alongside female.

Evil characters will have their names written in bold

Monster Girls:

Celia Swift | Siren
Kitanai Akuma | Fire Demon
Luna Grimsdottir | krakken
Winter Lavine | Elf

Possible neko or kitsune.

Monster Boys:

Zante Ulrich | Demon
Daniel Maravilla | Unicorn
Korax Murgo | Lich
Damian Lorraine | Sylph/Faery
Vincens Giovanni | Vampire
Alyx Goivanni | Vampire
Kake Heron | ????

Possible gargoyle

You can alter these, but please include all the content. I don't expect people to write masses, but at least a small paragraph where it's needed would be good. Please use good images for your characters, if you cannot find at least one, you don't need to provide one. Please don't create any shy, non-talking characters that need to be prised open with an emotional crowbar. I will NOT be impress.

School information
Information will constantly be added

  1. During the day students are expected to maintain their glamours, not only is this a common curtesy it is also good practice. Any purposeful slip ups will result in a visit to the head mistress. This is very similar to telling human girls not to wear makeup to school.

  2. Students may drop their glamours after lessons finish at 5.00pm which is when it starts to get dark.

  3. All students are expected to keep a lid on things and all/ any fights are to be taken outside.

  4. Students share rooms. There are usually four same sex students to a room. (Monsters who can change sex are usually bundled in a room together)

  5. Lunches are held in a large hall with two seperate cafeterias, one vegetarien and the other carnivore. There is also a systematic divide in the seating area. You rarely find veggies sitting with meat-eaters.

  6. School uniform is standard black skirt, black trousers and white shirt. Students have black ties, deep plum coloured jumpers and cardigans and black blazers with school logo. Blazers are only worn on special days of the year. Of course everyone makes their own adaptions to the uniform, skinny trousers, short skirts, fat ties, high heels, trainers, bare feet, promiscuous thigh high black socks. Students will be students.

Rules and Player information:
Information will constantly be added

  • The Roleplay will be focusing on a small group of monsters and humans and how they interact. Despite there perhaps being many players at the beginning, it's granted that we'll loose a few along the way leaving us with a cute group. As long as there's still a human, and a few monsters the Roleplay will prevail!
  • I have already mentioned it but please do not create a quiet, silent character. They never benefit the roleplay, ever! You'll just get ignored and left behind. If your species is shy, that's fine because that's genetic but make sure they keep up with the group and give to the roleplay. Also no characters that live in their thoughts.
  • Keep to RPG rules, and try not to do the usual god modding etc.
  • If your unsure of something, ask me. I think instead of writing a long list we'll just cross some bridges when we come to them.
  • Images will be digital, drawings or anime. Please try and use good images.

Built majestically upon the top of a mountain range, surrounded by evergreen pine forests and valleys is an old castle, beautiful and elegant; particularly at sunrise when the warm rays first hit the spiral of each tower. Quiet for a short while the hidden landmark is once again open as a boarding school.

On this particular day the sun is shining bright and warm and the sky is clear; but the shadows are cold and there is a slight chill to air. Students of all shapes and sizes have approached the school, wearing their fresh uniforms, trailing baggage behind them fit for a long term at school. For some; more baggage is being sent in preparation for the entire year.

Unknown to the students, there is a slight change to this school year. A species that hasn't yet set foot in the school is mingling within the crowd, disguised by the general mob of uniforms and mayhem.

Warren High Boarding school has undertaken a project. One that will change the lives of all the students involved.

A warning bell rings out and it causes the students to file into two seperate assembly halls after a few straddles check in at reception.

In one hall, fresh-faced human children are seated. Nervous, eager and hopelessly naΓ―ve. Human teachers crowd behind them, listening just as eagerly as their students.

A woman, intimidating in both stature and beauty stands before them, icy eyes wondering over the sea of heads. Amanda Vogue, head mistress of Warren High, a mysterious figure built upon fear and rumours. Terrifying visually, from her masculine suit to her snarling, bow shaped lips. She wore the word terrifying like a shade of lipstick.

She never usually gave a speech this early, but things were different this year.

"Good afternoon and welcome, my name is Amanda Vogue, but you will all address me as Head Mistress." She began, giving a few figity students a longer stare than others. "At the start of the school year it is tradition for students to settle into their shared rooms on arrival and meet their fellow students before starting lessons the following day, however, I want to let you know a few important things first. Number one, there are no dropouts, runaways, rule breakers or clowns at this boarding school- you're here to learn and here you will stay. Number two, this school is special, it has traditions, secrets, I expect students of this school to be respectful of these things. Last of all, this is a respected facility and it is a privilege to be here, I assure you all that this will be an experience you will never forget..."

After addressing the human students Amanda Vogue made her way through a short corridor until she came to a second large hall. She hesitated outside the doors leading in before letting out an aspirated sigh and pushing open the doors. It unleashed a chaos of noise. Students of all kinds littered the hall, loud and obnoxious, snarling and laughing. She took her place at the front of the hall and after realising that no one had noticed her enter, let out a horrifying shriek. The hall quickly fell silent. The older students who'd been at the school for a while sat round respectably, the new students jumped in their seats. Startled.

She stared at them all, letting her glamour slip slightly to reveal some skeletal before giving a slightly different speech.

"Im sure you've all heard the rumours circulating about the 'human project' the school has taken on. Therefore I will address this first. It is true, that approximately half of the new students joining this year are human. This is an opportunity to prove to the council that this school raises students of the highest calibre no matter the species. It is a project we take very seriously, any student who is seen to jeopardise this great opportunity will be punished and expelled. I expect you all to make the new students feel welcome.
Now I am Amanda Vogue, Head Mistress of Warren High Boarding school..."

She continued to list similar introductions to the monster students as she did with the human students, Aware that her words were falling on a few deaf ears. The up coming year was to be a difficult one. She was a wolf, running a school for cat and mice.

What appeared to be a bundle of black bags was shuffling its way up towards the gates of Warren High, and a quiet grumbling noise could be heard from within the cluster. Upon closer inspection one could notice a few strands of silvery blue hair and two small, bare feet sticking out. Beneath all the bags was a small young man, if man was the right word. This young man was in fact a faerie, one of the more human students who attended Warren, with the exception of the new humans, of course. This faerie was Damian Lorraine. He was usually running around like a headless chicken with rocket boosters, but this wasn't an easy task when carrying two guitars, an amplifier and a suitcase that was full to the brim, especially when you were only 5'8". Transporting them would have been an easy task with his wind magic, but he couldn't cast wind magic while his glamour was up, and glamours had to be kept up until 17:00. In addition, this was the first year humans were being allowed in, and the headmistress had explicitly ordered students to keep a lid on things. The thought of the headmistress' rage sent shivers up his spine; he'd been on the wrong end of it once after causing a bit too much destruction during a friendly duel against a demon, who had suffered the same fate as Damian.

Damian let out a loud and weary sigh after he had dumped his bags at reception for them to be taken to his room. Since he didn't need anything but his suitcase, he didn't qualify to have someone assist him with his luggage. Well, that was in the past now, his bags would be taken to his room by somebody else. In the meantime he filed into the assembly hall with the rest of Warren's monsters.

"Now I am Amanda Vogue, Head Mistress of Warren High Boarding school..."
Damian was almost asleep by now, he knew that humans would be attending the school and the headmistress was just reciting the speech from last year. He'd been here for a year, he knew how things worked. He was aware that he wasn't the only person dozing off; he could even hear someone snoring behind him. He wondered who he'd be in a room with this year as he surveyed the hall for new faces.

Damian filed out along with the other students once the assembly had finished, his hands in his pockets and whistling to himself. He must have looked odd to the new, human students who were also milling about in reception; when going to a prestigious boarding school you would hardly be expecting to see a young man with unruly, silvery blue hair, bare feet, an untucked and half-unbuttoned shirt and a tie so loose its knot was hanging down over his chest. He could tell he was getting stares from new, human students, but it didn't bother him; dress code was going to be the least of their worries. What Damian had to worry about was finding out which room he would be in, and he had no idea where he would find such information.

Celia Swift

If outsiders were to judge the prestigious Warren High upon the appearance of Celia Swift, mothers would be flocking the phones, desperately recalling their children from the school (particularly their sons).

Dragging a bulky suitcase at her heels, the arrogant madam barged through groups of students, leaving a trail of disgruntled looks behind her. She wore the uniform like a second skin, with the standard uniform wrapped around her body, finished off with a snug school cardigan, and black thigh high socks giving her a sexually devious look. Celia was made to look delicious with or without clothing though, she was Siren.

Being at Warren High was the last place Celia expected to be this time last year, she had nothing against further education but for quite some time she'd been travelling. Drifting through the fingers of admirer after admirer like smoke. Her mother finally caught up with her a few months back, and now she was here.

Shielding her eyes from the sunny day with some black sunglasses, she went straight to reception as her school booklet had instructed to pick up her timetables and room number. There was a queue, something she disregarded as all the other students smelt of weaker species, she even thought she got a whiff of oestrogen but dismissed it.

An elf girl at the front opened her mouth to protest but quietened down when Celia's glamour shimmered for a slither of a second to reveal her bright, predatory eyes. The warning bell shot off shortly after she collected her papers. Traipsing to the assembly hall a teacher directed most of the students to, she collapsed into a chair in the middle and rolled her eyes at an Incubus who flashed a dirty smile in her direction from a row in front.

The head mistress, Vogue, was absolutely awful. Celia wasn't sure what she was, but it made the tiny hairs on the back of her neck stand on end when she let out a shriek. It was safe to say she was a predator of predators. Celia was prepared to only half listen to the welcoming speech, but to her surprise the first thing to come out of the head mistresses mouth was about a human project. At first she thought it was a joke, of course there had been rumours but, that's all they were supposed to be...rumours?

She left the hall after the speech, which carried on for quite some time after the revelation and made her way towards her room. It was a bustle and she could of sworn someone groped her bottom on the way up the stairs. Having humans at the school was an unexpected turn of events, one her mother would seethe about when she eventually found out. The smell of human seemed hopelessly obvious now she was trapped in a mixed crowd. She only hoped for their sakes that they weren't wondering around after dark.

It was no secret all kinds of things came out in the dark.

Winter Lavine

Over the far side of the school yard, a girl stood bent over awkwardly, dragging her long silvery hair into a scruffy bun. On the way to the school she had taken it upon herself to research the modern school scene and apparently a messy bun was very " chic".

Once she'd finished she picked up her duffel bag again and hurried to reception to retrieve her papers. Warren high was a magnificent school, certainly not as beautiful as her home but still lovely all the same. The air teemed with knowledge and she eagerly drank it in.
Standing in line she patiently waited, eying every single person within range with interest. She reached the front and began to say her name when a girl, roughly the same height barged in front.

Winter opened her mouth to protest but the girl's glamour shimmered to reveal the unmistakable eyes of a Siren. Winnie shivered automatically and pursed her lips. Her first day wasn't the day to start picking fights. She'd never met a siren before and her first impression was to steer clear.

After she grabbed her papers, a bell rang out. She gave the queue behind her an apologetic smile before heading toward an assembly hall as a teacher gestured the way.

Nothing said in the assembly surprised her, she'd done her research but was thrilled to hear she was right. Studying alongside such a wide range of species including humans was a real treat.

Zane Ulrich

Zane walked onto the school yard and carrying a back pack on his left shoulder as he adjusted his sunglasses. He'd been sent here the year before by his 'parents' as they both thought interacting with other types of creatures would help the young demon to calm down and learn somethings. Zane looked around the yard his eye's wandering sizing people up, especially the girls. He stopped as a scent came across him, he then sniffed the air like a wolf, he smelled humans, however with all the gathered mix of species it was a mess of scents and he couldn't get a fix on a specific human or creature. He sneered and chuckled to himself before continuing to the reception desk as a girl budged her way through the line to the front pushing another girl out of the way.

He just shook his head and eyed both of them behind his red sunglasses. He got his papers as the bell rang out and continued on his way. Zane sighed, "Another year... Great..." he then joined in the assembly with the other creatures as he took off his sunglasses and tucked them into a pocket.

"Now I am Amanda Vogue, Head Mistress of Warren High Boarding school..."

Zane listened intently in the first bit of the speech by the Head Mistress, but soon lost interest as his eye's began wandering to the females gathered in the hall.

Once the speech ended Zane took a moment to stretch as he contemplated the repercussions or problems of humans being at this school. "It won't be long before the word gets out and they find what their room-mates and they aren't exactly human." he then grabbed his bags and walked back out into the hallway as he headed towards his room.

If the Head Mistress would allow it, Daniel would lick the ground Amanda Vogue walked on. The moment she entered the room was when Daniel had tried back on his glamour for size. He couldn't help but admire himself in the mirror with a smirk. He thought highly of himself as a unicorn, but as a humanoid being? He could get away with so much, and he knew it.

He had been here a few years before and if things went well, he'd be here one last time. At least, that is unless he could find a way in to the system to teach. Naturally, his bags and things were light save for a large trunk that held newly acquired clothing for his glamour'd size. Uniforms, mostly, and the occasional casual pieces. Very punctual, he'd already been there and done that with the checking in and setting up.

As a senior of high standards and recommendations from his past professors, Daniel stood near the front of the large hall. His eyes wandered not on those faces he knew, but on the younger ones that he did not. The younger, or just 'newer' monsters would find themselves in awe of it all, but this year not only would be their first, but a first for everyone. Even Daniel found himself giddy over the idea of something fresh. This new project would be just that.

Tilting his head from side to side to crack his neck, Daniel shook his head in agreement with the head mistress' announcement, eyes peeled for the moment the humans would enter. Would they be friendly? Would they suspect? He himself didn't have much to worry. Unless they still believed in monsters and unicorns, all they would see of him is a white horse. Daniel was often referenced by the younger years as a 'Ponyboy'. Unbeknownst to Daniel, it was a reference to some book he hadn't read and meant as a term of endearment to stay true.

These humans would test that, indeed.

As they entered, Daniel flashed his pearly whites with a genuine smile, waving a hand as they joined the others. "Welcome, welcome." And the votes he may be receiving added up in his mind. Student body president, here I come.

Emily Bennett~

A sigh escaped through her parted lips as her parents neared towards the gates of her new school. She lowered her head and blonde locks of hair soon followed as she flickered her eyes up to stare at the scenery. Emily stayed silent for most of the ride - Mainly because she absolutely hated change, especially when it is unexpected. Her father glanced at her in the rearview mirror and spoke. "Cheer up, honey. I'm sure you'll do just fine." Emily quirked her lips up then lowered them back down to size. Her mother seemed to be happy as the car came to an instant stop. "We're here. Do you want us to come in with you?" Her mother asked. Emily shook her head no as she grabbed her luggage and got out of the vehicle. She stared at the building and felt a little odd about this. She wanted to get back in the car but saw that her parents were already gone.

Emily mustered up a little bit of strength and walked right on into the school, seeing that everyone was scurrying to get somewhere.

She decided to walk along with them, dragging her rolling luggage bags behind her as she entered what seemed to be the auditorium. She sat down in the back, scrunching down in her seat as she listened to the speaker, who name came out to be Amanda Vogue. 'Cute.' Emily thought to herself while smirking a little bit but just shook away the thoughts because Amanda was probably much older than she was. When the speech was over, she instantly jumped up and headed towards the receptionist desk.

Emily was the first one there and she stated her name and was given at least three sheets of paper. "Thanks." She said with a smile, seeing that her room number was 202. As she walked towards her room, getting nearer and nearer, her stomach churned as she hoped that no one was in there - To her surprise, no one was.

She was somewhat relieved to see that she was first in the room as she chose the spot with the most space and started unpacking her clothing along with a notebook full of songs, her journal and sketchbook and her mechanical pencils.

Alyx Giovanni~

Alyx was sitting lazily in the main hall, his leg was dangling over the edge of the chair he was sitting in. His blue eyes danced across the room, scanning the new and familiar faces. He saw his brother pass by and just turned his face up in disgust then rolled his eyes, not really wanting to be bothered by him right now as he had his sights set on his prey, victims or whatever else he wanted to called them. A smirk came over his lips as he jumped up from his seat, walking towards the auditorium to hear that bitch, Amanda, give the same speech as last year - He could bet on it.

While entering the auditorium, he sat beside his brother but still didn't talk to him, for obvious reasons. Alyx sat there with his arms folded over his chest as he listened to Amanda's speech, which was the exact, same one from last year. Why couldn't she come up with something else to say? He looked at her then mocked her. "Now I am Amanda Vogue, Head Mistress of Warren High Boarding school..." He laughed then got up from his seat, walking back into the main hall.

His eyes flashed over towards Damian then walked over there towards him. "Another year here? Can you believe it?" He questioned towards him while leaning up against the wall, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "Hey, watch this..." Alyx said towards Damian as he went to one of the human girls and stared at them directly in the eyes and concentrated, his voice echoing throughout her head as he spoke. "Grab those two blue duffel bags over there and take them to room 191 and sit them on the first bed you see. Thank you." He finished speaking then turned around, walking back towards Damian then leaning back up against the wall, watching the female do his dirty work for him. "Piece of cake." He mumbled.

Alyx didn't bother getting his materials for class and whatever else because he had already gotten them earlier. "I'll catch you around, Damian." He smiled towards him as he walked off, wondering who can his next victim could be.

Korax hitchhiked his way to a town that was about one hundred miles from the school one week earlier. From there he walked. He only had a backpack to carry, even if it was a hiking backpack. Also since his nerves were all dead he could not feel a thing in his feet. Previously to his journey to the school, he blew all of his money buying illegal flesh grafts in a black market. The grafts could be added onto undead and were enchanted to act as living tissues or organs for a certain amount of time. However they were frowned upon since they needed to taken from various creatures when living. He bought two enchanted human tongues and an artificial stomach that vaporized the food that filled it.

He arrived right after the speech had been given. Around the lone Lich there were no other undead, only living creatures. Although undeath killed the physical senses, it did not dull emotions, especially the negative ones. Korax could not help to feel alone as most living creatures detested the unliving. So he plugged his iPod ear buds into his ears and walked into the crowd. "I wonder if my glamour blocked off the smell? A werewolf could probably smell it but I don't think an elf could. Could they?" He thought to himself as he wondered through the crowds.

This is sick. This is dope. This is...

incongruous.

Incongruous- absurd, out of place.

inconsistent.

inconsistent- contradictory, irregular.

No word could describe properly what Tyga was feeling right now. He wanted to quote Drake, Honey Cocaine, or Snoop Dogg. He wanted to go back to the horrible black hole of a neighborhood he lived in. He wanted to shove this in there faces, screaming how he made it. How he was going to MAKE it. No adjective could describe the tingle in his belly as he took in the magnificent walls, the high ceilings. No adjective could explain the erratic jump in his heart as he took in the rich dark floors.

He, Tyga, a boy from the hood, was going to Warren. THE Warren High. When he had found his acceptance letter in his mail box. Tyga had cried. He had cried on the rickety structure called his front porch. Neighbors called him a sissy, his mother ignored him, and his sister pushed past him. Tyga didn't care. He was finally getting out! When his councilor had suggested Warren ,Tyga had jumped at the chance to go. The school was highly selective and only the best went there. To receive such an honor had sent the usually tough as nails Tyga into a crying fit. The tears were fat and warm, with them came shots of joy. No words, just noises of happiness, loud and cheerful barks that escaped his throat. Tyga had not only cried he had jumped around like a mad man, waving his acceptance letter in the air. He jumped up and down on his front porch, he did the cat daddy, the two step, and the moon walk.

Once done with his short loss of sanity, Tyga had straightened himself out and had went back inside. He packed everything he owned into two duffels, and stayed pack the whole summer.

When move out day came he grabbed his two duffels, a lot heavier now with more stuff inside, loaded them into the taxi. He said goodbye to the relatives that were around, his grandma, and cousin Boo. He promised to write his grandma and jokingly cursed his cousin out. When finished with goodbyes he got in the Taxi. The Taxi took him to a bus, the bus took him to a plane, and the deplane took him to a special bus to Warren. The journey had been long, tiring, and even nerve wracking. Tyga on his last bit of energy was able to taken in the beauty of Warren. After the opening speech he checked in, got his room key with his schedule and list of dorm-mates. He listened to the head mistress speak with droopy eyes but alert mind. His uniform was slightly wrinkled. Tyga had substituted the pants for tighter jeans in that color and the foot wear to a black pair of Jordan's, a sox baseball hat sat low on his tight curls. He wore a hoodie in the school colors over his school shirt. He knew he looked unpresentable but the long trip had left no room to change, and he was to tired to care.

Tyga was just ready to sleep after the opening speech. He knew he should stay up and meet his peers but he was just to tired. So when they were led to another place filled with more students he nearly wanted to scream in frustration. Tyga pinched his wrist right on the irritated skin of his new tattoo. The pain jerked him awake, he gently rubbed the red and slightly raised skin. He ignored looking at the 'XV Will' that decorated his wrist. He knew from experience that the cursive letters would be an angry red on his dark skin. Instead Tyga looked at the student body around him.

He notice...something...something he couldn't think of at the moment. The air in this room was heavy with something. The students here looked different...more graceful, pretty, almost predator like.

Tyga eyed one girl with a body to die for. She was too pretty. That Photoshop pretty. That air brush plastic surgery pretty.

Tyga pushed these thoughts aside. He needed sleep. He could ponder if the school gave their students plastic surgery later. He located a blond guy who reminded him of ponyboy. and gave a polite greeting and then asking about where the dorms where located. After getting directions Tyga fond his room and fell onto the nearest bed he came across. His duffel hit him in the shoulder and back, his shoes were still on and he had an alarm set for 5:30 on his phone. Tyga didn't care he just wanted sleep.

Reaching her room, Celia whipped off her sun glasses and pushed open the door. She sagged against the door frame and let out an exaggerated sigh after she looked around.

"Great there's a fish tank in my room." she muttered. With three beds in the room and Standard drawers to match there was nothing unusual but then there was the large, see through tank in one corner of the room. It didn't take much imagination to realise she was going to have at least one freaky room-mate for sure.

Slumping onto the bed nearest the window she looked out at the scenic view and tried to appreciate the fact she had a room with a window. Celia grabbed her case and dragged it over to her drawers to make it clearer that it was her area too. She'd never been to a boarding school before, and although she'd been on her own for a long time and survived, it was a more nerve-racking prospect to suddenly be thrusted into such close living confinements with others then living alone in the big wide world.

Getting up abruptly, she moved to a door within the room and opened it to view the bathroom. It was pretty large, it surprised her they'd give so much space. She clocked another door leading out of the bathroom opposite and smirked, there was no way that door led to more space for them.

"Another year here? Can you believe it?"
Damian turned his head to see Alyx approaching him. While they were hardly the best of friends, they new each other well enough and got on fairly well.
"Barely." Damian grinned in response, "I'm surprised they let me back in after the mess I made last year."

"Hey, watch this..."
Damian watched as Alyx went over to one of the human students and used compulsion to get her to take his bags to his room. He shivered slightly; mind control magic had always freaked Damian out, and he wasn't too keen on seeing humans treated like inferior beings, but at least Alyx was using it in a relatively harmless way. Damian chuckled slightly when he remembered that the staff were taking bags to dorms, so Alyx was wasting his time.

"Piece of cake."
"Yeah, but it's been a crumb for everyone else." Damian chuckled, "Staff are taking our bags to our rooms, and you spent your energy getting someone else to do it."

Damian gave Alyx a small wave as he left and went to back to wondering where his room was. Alyx knew where his was, so the information had to be available somewhere. Damian looked around, but nowhere looked particularly conspicuous. So, instead of doing the sensible thing and asking at reception, he decided to sniff his room out. His luggage would have been taken to his room, so if he just followed his own scent then he would be able to find his room.

His nose led him to a room labelled "Room 192". Alyx had said that he would be in room 191, so it looked like they were going to be next-door neighbours for the year. However, Damian's own room was his most pressing concern, so he opened the door and took a step inside. He wasn't the first there; inside was a tall young man with blond hair and blue eyes. Damian was sure he'd seen him before, but had never had any close interaction with him.
"Hey," Damian smiled as he slumped down onto the bed nearest the window, "I'm Damian. Looks like we're gonna be roommates for the year. You're..." Damian paused for a moment while he tried to recall his roommate's name, "Zane, right?"

Zane Ulrich

Zane entered the room and stretched a little as he looked around the room four beds. He wondered who his roommates were as he threw his bags on the bed in the corner the furthest away from the window. He then walked over to the door for the bathroom and looked inside. "Nice..." The demon turned around as the door to his room opened and he looked Damian up and down as he walked over to the bed nearest the window and slumped down.

"Hey,"
Zane nodded to Damien, "Hey..." he began unpacking his cloths and a few other trinkets as he chucked them onto his bed and did some organising as Damien continued talking.

"I'm Damian. Looks like we're gonna be roommates for the year. You're..." Damien paused as Zane stopped unpacking, "Zane, right?"

Zane stopped folding a pair of pants and put them in the dresser, "My names Zathaniel Ulrich, however please call me Zane... only my mother calls me Zathaniel. it's nice to meet you Damien. He glanced around the room, "So I'm guessing we have two more roommates? Do you know whom they are? ... I was hoping for a human." He said smirking a little as he sat down on his bed.

"Room 119. 119...Where is that? I wish that they could just post directions everywhere. I mean this school does have magic, right? The wondering Lich thought to himself after he was given his room assignment. There were so many students all packed into one place, all trying to find their own way to their own rooms. So he asked around to eventually find it.

Korax walked into the room and immediately claimed the top bunk of a bed. He thought that he would set up shop as soon as possible to install his tongue and stomach graft and smiled excitedly. Unfortunately that smile faded when he turned around to find his roomate. A skinny African looking student. Korax gave him a long, uncomfortable stare before starting his ground rules.

"Alright here's the deal. This bed is mine as well as what's on it. Don't touch it or my things and it's probably best not to even look at it less you cause trouble and goulify yourself. I'll be keeping this appearance all year round but I don't care if you switch yours off. Don't complain about the way I smell or else you'll regret it. Be warned, I don't sleep at night and will often make noise if I'm experimenting. If you have a squeamish stomach then you have best find a new room. Remember that at all times I am superior to you in every single way and we won't have problem." Korax told his new roommate. Then he turned around, pulled some air freshener out of his backpack, and began to spray it around the room.

"Humans may be wicked, evil beings, but monsters have to like them just for the sake of fitting into the larger population"

After the Head Mistress had completed her announcement, Drake decided to check out the interior walls of the school. Wandering around lazily, he checked every nook and cranny for any secret or interesting landmarks.
He didn't find any.
This got him bored. Sighing at the plain, boring school building, he slowly walked towards the next sector, where there were other monsters talking and chattering. Passing by the large crowd, his ears quickly took in a few words: 'Humans? Dumb...why that?', 'Ooh good. Now I can take my anger out on the humans!', 'Pathetic apes...think they got a place in store?', and 'God-damn that headmistress....such a b*tch for placing humans into our ranks!'.

His ears continued to twitch, as he heard every filthy words that came out of those unworthy mouths. With such a tremendous amount of haters blabbing their mouths about people they don't even know about, Drake's mood turned sour. Trying to keep his calm, he left the obnoxious and loud scene, and continued up the stairs.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Reaching the dormitory, he looked around the polished building. It looked a lot cleaner than the main school building, and gave off a better, and much more professional impression. He noticed a couple of monsters talking to each other, but he didn't want to hear anymore. After all that rubbish the group before had sputtered, his head was tired. Monster didn't know anything about humans after all, as humans didn't understand monsters. The past kept coming back to him, but he didn't care. Arriving in front of a door, he looked up at it. It wasn't big, but it looked like the inside would have been kept in a nice condition.
He was wrong.
Once he entered through the door, all he saw was dust, cobwebs, some short house-trolls, etc. Disappointed at such a condition, Drake closed the door, and turned to another boy who had just arrived in front of him. He was looking at another door, the one right beside him. This one looked quite ordinary, and as the door opened, he noticed a clean, nice and elegant room. Filled with curtains, and a big window, and a soft room, etc.
Approaching the boy slowly, he tapped his right shoulder, and looked at him in a grin.
"Ah. I think this is your room? Unfortunately, my room looks too big for me and I'm not good with such spacious spots...so let's trade, no? I think you'll be quite satisfed...", requested Drake. His smile glinted bright white, as he raised his hand, underpalm, towards his door.
As the other boy left to check on it, only to expect a dusty disaster....Drake quietly left into the room, and locked the door.
'Well, with a bit of work, cleaning, and sneezing, that place'll look great!', he pleasantly thought. He actually meant it. He was a nice boy, but he didn't understand what was bad and what was the problem for the other student. Drake turned towards the window, and dropped to the ground. His red hair flopped over the floor, and his eyes let off a little shine of satisfaction. Sighing, he reviewed his day so far in his thoughts. With a deep breath, he concluded with: He was glad, to finally have to experience with high school life.
Tyga had woken briefly to hear the words from his room mate.
This guy was a piece of work. That was saying something. Tyga lived in a diverse city, with people of creeds and all colors. It was a known fact that so many different people would have a problem with each other. He had hoped that Warren students were above that pettiness but then they couldn't help what they grew up with.
Tyga knew from experience that the best way to deal with people like this is just let them have their way. Even though his pride felt slighted, he knew no talking to his roommate would make the guy more welcoming to him.
It just wouldn't happen.
And Tyga was just to tired to deal with other people's issues.
Now fully awake his mind registered some key words. Ghoul. Appearance. Switch appearance off? What the hell... was this guy on?
Tyga suddenly got the feeling that he had chewed off more than he could swallow here....
He also had the horrible urge to smoke. His pack of Newport were at the bottom of his dufels. Before he left the city he had stocked up on cigarettes and tobacco. He also had a variety of lighters from matches to small torches. Tyga had a addiction and wasn't proud of it. He swore he was trying to quit but he saw what happened when a person went into a with draw and the thought of turning into a shaking vomiting mess kept him smoking a cigarette a least once a week. Along with the horde of tobacco he brought a stash of relief patches. He really was trying.
He had gone three days since his last one. He had thought that he would last another four days but dealing with roomie here had pushed that day up. Tyga unpacked his stuff in the dresser with his name on it, he stored his duffels into the dresser also. He organized his thing so he could find them later. He found his electronic vapor cigarette among his horde. It was a better alternative to the newports, and they would make his breath smell like hazelnut.
Grabbing the small cylinder Tyga grabbed his room key, made sure his side of the room was well organized and walked out the room. He didn't go far just a couple steps from the door. He turned the electronic cigarette on and brought it to his lips. He held it with the easy grace of a well practiced smoker. He rolled the metal tube around his mouth. His tongue liked the metal, and his lungs squeezed ready to to inhale.
Just as he was about to take a puff he noticed the tattoo on his wrist.
Raised, angry, and red. The words mocked him.
Tyga suddenly felt over come with emotion.
Defiantly he took one puff inhaling the smoke and fragrance. As soon as it hit his lungs he felt like a traitor....
God...get a hold of yourself Tyga! He removed the metal stick from his lips and rubbed his hands over his short hair and face.
He didn't turn the electronic cigarette off, instead he let the perfume of hazelnut surrounding him for a moment. When he felt that he could go on he turned off the cigarette and went back in his room.
He would quit tomorrow...
Tyga ignored his roommate and instead sat down on his lower bunk. He took out his phone, put in the ear buds and, played some music.
"So I'm guessing we have two more roommates? Do you know whom they are? ... I was hoping for a human."
"Nope, not a clue. Sorry." Damian replied, "It'd be weird rooming with a human, wouldn't it? They're so... well... squishy. They get scared and confused so easily, they're kinda weak and they die so quickly. It would be fun, though."
Damian sat up and surveyed the room for his belongings and saw them propped up in the corner of the room. He got up and moved them one at a time closer to his bed. He slid his guitars under his bed, rested his amplifier against the wall and began to unpack his suitcase. Even though everyone in the room had their own, reasonably-sized chest of drawers, Damian just crammed as much non-specific clothing into each drawer as he could, not even bothering to fold anything up. If any of his roommates had OCD, they were in for a bumpy ride.
"So, another year here, eh?" Damian smiled, "I've heard they've hired humans to teach as well as letting in human students. I wonder if they're as clueless as the human students. This is going to be memorable."
"Mother fucker..."
Kitanai gazed at the alarm clock beside her bed. She was late for the school assembly for the third time now. She slightly chuckled to herself as she stretched her arms and got out of bed. Her little foxy tail thumped on the bed.
"Yay for school!" Kitanai yelled playfully as well as sarcastically. She then walked off to her bathroom to prepare for the day she was dreading.
Kitanai walked out of her small dusty apartment in her glamour which wore a tight black skirt, a size too small, a cute white blouse with a cardigan to accompany it, and thigh high white boots, which is a tradition with her. Trailing behind her was a small black suitcase, she didn't have very many belongings. Also coming along for the ride was a small little fox. Cute as a button, with the name Ren. Except instead of his true form, he trotted around in his own glamour. He appeared as an adorable little black dog. This was due to the fact that Ren wasn't just a normal fox, along with Kitty, he's a fire spirit fox, given to her by her father. Humans wouldn't be able to comprehend the creature, so in order to take him on walks, he had to be in a glamour.
Finally, with coffee in hand, Kitanai arrived at the school. The assembly room was empty.
"Well crap..." Kitanai sighed as she knew she'd be in trouble once again. "Come on Ren! Lets find our ro..." Kitty stopped as she caught a whiff of something...human. On campus. She looked around and spotted one, two, five...a bunch of humans. A grin appeared on her face as a sudden realization came to her. Oh my... Does this mean I'm in school with humans now? This is going to be fun... She trotted through the mixed crowd of oblivious humans and threatening monsters with Ren following close behind. Everyone was reminiscing about the past years of school, and how great this year was going to be. Old friends were gathering back into their cliques to gossip and converse about the new transfers. Surprisingly enough, Kitanai didn't really have a group of friends, even after being a student at the school for three years. But she didn't mind. She enjoyed being a lone wolf...Well fox.
As Kitanai pointed out the people she remembered, a hand grabbed her wrist and brought her to a halt. Aw shit... There was her worst enemy. Amanda Vogue. She frowned as the horrid woman gave an evil smile.
"Well well well... Kitanai! So grand to see you so late. What is this? The third time? Marvelous. I hope you realize that being here is a privilege. Your father and I are quite close you know? I could easily contact him if you'd like me to. We could talk for hours!"
The woman would always be watching Kitanai. Like a hawk. She even made her shiver, especially with the thought of her awful father. Kitty's eyes fell to the floor as she replied warily. "Miss Vogue. Looking "grand" today. I apologize for my tardiness. I truly hope you can forgive me." Amanda frowned, sending another shiver down Kitanai's spine. She was really trying her luck at this point.
"You better watch it. Contacting your father is a pain in my ass, but I can do it." The woman then walked away, elegantly too. Kitanai stuck out her tongue and turned away. Ren barked to mock the woman. She giggled slightly and continued on her way to the front desk. As she arrived a nice man greeted her. He handed her schedules and her room key. She gathered her things and walked towards her room. "Well Renny, I hope we have some good roommate's. Preferably hot ones..."
Then as she was almost to her room, she spotted the most gorgeous girl shes ever seen in her entire life. She stopped in her tracks as she examined the adorable girl's black hair, with a red streak running through it. Her beautiful blue eyes, her cute little figure, and her tiny adorable behind. Kitanai picked up Ren and grinned. "Oh Renny-poo... Look at her... She will be mine..." Then all of a sudden the spirit spoke with a soft voice. "Kitty... She's human." Kitanai smiled and nodded her head. I know.
After the whole cheesy, "love at first sight" scene, Kitty opened the door to her room to find the one and only Celia Swift. The famous siren that lures everyone to their demise. She looked as if she was about to open the door to the other side of the bathroom. "Well hello there girly! Looks like we're gonna be roomies... I've heard so much about you Celia! I'm Kitanai, but you can call me Kitty. And this is Ren or Renny, which ever you prefer. Between you and me, he's not really a dog, he's a fox." Kitanai grinned as she held out her hand to the stunning woman before her.
A young girl mumbles curses to the wind as a breeze pushes through, blowing her bangs right into her sight. Anne Luther wanted to make a cool entrance, dammit. She had it all planned out for during her ride in the Taxi; too bad things never go as planned. She saw herself standing tall and proud at the gates of the school while the cab driver would obediently carry out her luggage to her dorm. Anne was ready to establish her readiness right there and then. Instead here she was, wheeling a squeaky black luggage behind her like many of the students.
Anne was in no way missing home, yet. She had said her goodbyes to her parents and siblings. She was done with feeling like a burden to her adopted family. She had discovered the truth about her adoption when she was eight, finally putting two and two together. Anne looked nothing like them. Where as the family had curly brown hair and green eyes, she had unruly black hair and blue eyes. The other part was their absolutely erm, adorable personality. They were generous and sensitive, where as she was fierce and rude. Naturally, it wasn't long for the secret to be kept hidden.
The raven haired female heaved a great sigh as she neared the reception. Thinking about her past at a time like this was a bad choice, how could she miss the warning bell? Anne quickly checked in at reception and left her luggage without so much as a glance around her. True to herself, Anne expresses a bit of her anger in cursing herself for zoning out. The headmistress' speech had already begun when Anne finally took a seat. Despite feeling rushed before entering the auditorium, she felt more obliged to find a seat she was more comfortable in than having to go through some embarrassment. Instead of politely asking other students to move their legs out of the way so can she take a damn seat, she muttered commands equivalent to "Move your legs out of the way, peasant."
Upon taking her seat at the very front, she was given one of the longer stares from the headmistress in which she nervously looked away. She suddenly seemed very interested in her knees as Miss Vogue carried on her with her opening speech. Anne perked up when the headmistress mentioned secrets. Anne furrowed her brows in mild puzzlement. Why would she put that out there? Of course every school has a secret... But was the secret this school harbored something deadly? Ooh, maybe. She shivered a bit in excitement. Now she certainly knew what she will be doing after checking into her room.
After the speech was done and over with, Anne strolled on over to her room along with the other students. She looked down at the key and papers in her hand. She would be rooming with someone named Emily Bennett and Winter Lavine. Just the names seemed mildly interesting.
Anne finally reached the room in which she will be staying in. She tore her blue gaze away from the items in her hand and gazed around her at the architecture of the school. Everything seemed so intricately designed and private. Secluded and wise. As if the building was gazing down at each and every one of the new students with a small, mischievous smile, knowing what they were in for. And so the young girl smiled back up at the ceiling above her. The act may have seemed mildly insane to passerby's, but who cares?
Just as she was about to twist the doorknob and push open the door, she spotted a female next door. She only saw a wisp of long locks of pearly white hair as the unknown female headed into her own room. Anne was snapped out of the oddity of seeing such a hair color on a young person as her face was immediately graced with a smile at the sight of the most adorable little dog trotting behind its owner. Anne shook her head bemusedly and turned her attention back to the door in front of her.
She turned the doorknob and gently pushed open the door. She spotted the other female already inside the room and cleared her throat. "'Sup." Anne suddenly felt nervous and cleared her throat again, she could feel a bit of red pooling around her cheeks. "I'm Anne..." She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. She was glad introductions were out of the way; she was never really good at social skills with other people. But don't get her wrong, she always like socializing. Anne awkwardly shuffled towards her luggage and chose the bed nearest the window. The young girl heaved a great sigh and sat down onto the mattress with a plop. She refocused her gaze back on the blonde. With pursed lips, she searched for something to say. "So, umm... Nice school, huh?" She should really start planning ahead when it came to speaking with other people.
Vincens was not happy at the thought of attending Warren High for another year. He had arrived early, to his surprise, and already checked in at reception and received the necessary information about his living quarters for the year. He made brief eye contact with his brother, Alyx, as he and many of the other students were rounded into the auditorium. His pursed lips tilted downwards at the sight of Alyx expressing his disgust upon seeing him. It always hurt, seeing his blood brother act that way just at the mention of his presence, but Vince would live with it. He brought it upon himself, after all.
Vince quickly took the nearest open seat and sat down. He fixed the pair of ear buds and pressed the play button from his phone, to which soothing music streamed into his ear and calmed his mind. If anything could be a drug it would be music according to Vincens. Never was he seen without a pair of ear buds on him. He had heard a circulating rumor that this year would include humans. Vincens brushed of the rumor as absurd, the Headmistress surely wouldn't be so insane to include one of the dishes in many monster's menus (including his) into the school.
He was brought out of his reverie when his brother suddenly sat down next to him. He raised a questioning eyebrow at Alyx, but upon seeing he was ignoring him, Vince looked away. It always irked him just how much Alyx looked like his mother. He also envied how much Alyx got to spend time with his mother while he was pushed away and into his father's strict lessons.
As he looked back up to see the Headmistress herself arriving, she let out the shrill shriek he dreaded most. He winced at the shriek making it past the sound of his soothing music and quickly pressed pause. His eyes widened in disbelief at the confirmation of the rumors he thought were absolutely absurd... Humans?! He tried to suppress a growl of frustration and began blocking out the rest of her speech.
Vincens never really liked humans. They were too naive and ignorant. True, they did many magnificent things as well, but always alone. Never did they all come together as one. They were always too busy discriminating one another to actually pay attention to the fact that they are sharing this earth with others written about in mythology books. And for that he quietly resented them and planned to perhaps snag a meal or two off of them throughout the rest of this year.
His brother left him as quickly as he arrived once the speech was done. He didn't mind too much, and stood up slowly, watching his brother's figure disappear into the crowd. Vince mumbled a good luck under his breath as he stretched his limbs tiredly, resumed his music and headed towards his dorm.
Indeed, he was tired. He stayed up late at night, restless at the idea of another year of school. It has been harder and harder to suppress his nocturnal instincts these days. He had tried coffee, but that drink is simply atrocious to him. He sighed again upon reaching his room. He was hoping to be the first one there and go to sleep without having to introduce himself to his roommates.
He turned the knob and gently pushed the door open. He peeked in with his head first, hoping his roommate wouldn't be his brother or anyone from the year before. He let out a sigh of relief upon seeing two new faces, pushed the door open further, and finally stepped inside. He smiled slightly at his new roommates and muted his music.
It seemed they didn't notice him enter so he decided to clear his throat and speak, but as he did Damian, he vaguely remembered the name, spoke. "I've heard they've hired humans to teach as well as letting in human students. I wonder if they're as clueless as the human students. This is going to be memorable." He stopped and tilted his head, absorbing the new information greedily. "...Human teachers? This year sure will be an experience alright..." Vince mumbled the words to himself. Inside he was frowning deeply. A human will be bound to get hurt. Nevertheless, on the outside, he was looking around his room and smiling. "Um, hello. I'm Vincens, your guys' roommate. He recognized Damian, but not so much Zane, as he furrowed his brows trying to remember him. Hopefully he could get the introductions with his new roommates done and just go to sleep.
Emily Bennett~
Emily eyes jolted towards the door when she saw that it had opened and she became instantly nervous as she dropped her notebooks and other materials. 'Shit.' She thought to herself while eying the female that had entered the room now. "Hello there." She said a proper and polite tone then got on her knees and started picking up her materials then getting back up to her feet. "Hey Anne. I'm Emily." She said with bright and wide smile as she sat her stuff down in the bottom dresser.
Emily could tell that Anne wasn't much of a social person because the room suddenly fell quiet for about five minutes. Emily hummed a tone to herself then stopped when Anne spoke again. "Yeah, the scenery is very beautiful indeed. And the inside is magnificent. I plan on going out there later on and do some drawings. Want to come with?" She asked her. "I mean, you don't have to draw but it would be nice to have company." She shrugged her shoulders while plopping down on her bed as well.
She let out a well-deserved sigh and saw that she was finally done packing. She leaned back on her bed and looked up at the ceiling. "I was a little skeptical to come here but now that I am here, I feel good." Emily sat back up and glanced towards Anne. "So, we obviously have another roommate..." She directed her head towards the empty bed. "But maybe she'll be here when we get back." She said with a soft smile while digging through her bottom dresser and grabbing her sketchbook and a pencil.
"Ready to go and explore the outside?" She asked Anne, waiting for her response before leaving the room. "Oh, by the way, did you see two guys that look alike running around here? I just want to make sure that it wasn't my first day jitters getting the best of me." She said with a laugh while waving for Anne to follow her while exiting the room, walking down the stairs and standing the main hall, turning around to see if Anne was following her. If she was, she would stand in the middle of the hall and wait.
"Hm. Interesting. Strangers. Monsters. Possibly humans"
Many minutes had gone since Drake had tricked the boy into switching room. After realizing what he had just done, he felt no regret, neither sorrow at what he did. It was going smoothly~ His high school life, his first day, and his first hours in the building. Well, except for all the grumbling monsters all around him. It didn't sour his expression much this time, since he had already gotten used to it. But he was still mad. Like always, he knew these monsters didn't know anything about humans. They were merely hating on the very populated species, and that just ruined the reputation of their species.
"....hmph", he grunted. He didn't think that was too loud, but in a flash, a few monsters had blocked his way. Looking angry. At him.
Raising an eyebrow, he looked up at the monsters in built glamour. They looked like some muscled monster....but he still wasn't sure. They could be possibly anything. He gave them another look of wonder, and started to say something.
"....hey", he quietly said. The students, mockingingly, raised their enormous hands up to their ears, and asked with a loud, and suggish tone,
"WHAAATTT DIDDD YOU SAYYY???". Gritting his teeth, he stared up at the big hunks of flesh. A crowd started to gather around. They looked interested at this situation. Possibly a fight?
But Drake ignored their stares and calls. He didn't want a fight already...not now.
"If you've got a problem, do ask the headmistress why she sent in some humans to take part of this school", he replied. He knew he had no need for insults against these dumb brutes, since their tiny brains probably couldn't take it. The brutes looked around towards their other group members, and laughed.
"I don't think you understand the situation here, shrimp", said a big, tall student. It looked he was the ringleader.
"These are humans, we're talking about! Nothing but weak bastards that have no right to be in this...highly regarded academy! With these weak....things in our school, our reputation will drop. And that's not good".
Drake dropped his eyebrow, and started to look up with a dark glance. This pissed him off. Even more. Seriously.
"Hm. I wonder who your talking about here?", he mocked, looking straight into the eyes of the muscled man.
Thinking and wondering for a while at what Drake meant, the ringleader and his followers thought for a while. This took a couple of seconds. Once they finally got what he meant, their faces took a twisted turn from laughter, to frustration.
".....how dumb", Drake thought. Trying to maintain his cool, the ringleader forced his laugh out. "Strong-willed, indeed. But that's not going to help in life". Drake, daringly and mockingly, looked up at the biggest brute.
"If I'm going to survive in a place like this, I'm going to have to switch my personality. I guess calm and somewhat cold would do? Mhm...that'll work in a place like this", he quickly thought.
Opening his mouth, preparing some nasty words, he reviewed,
"If I had to guess, your group would probably be filed with some third-rate monsters. No, I'd probably have to say, even fourth....". The ringleader forced a smile, and snorted back.
"Well, even so, I could bet anything that your race isn't any better!". Drake quickly narrowed his eyes.
"Any...thing?", he carefully asked. The student didn't look back with hesitation. He laughed his same, obnoxious laugh, and bet, "Of course! Anything!".
Drake quickly sighed. This monster was dumb....Not only did he lack information about humans, but he didn't know how to judge a situation! With a slight curve forming on his calm face, he looked up at the brute.
"Interesting....indeed, you are a fourth-rate monster. Not only that, but your quite stupid", he judged. With a smirk on his face, he looked up at the brute, daringly, once again. The large, towering mass of muscles, lost his cool, and stared back down in rage. This was going to be an interesting scene...
It was for the umpteenth time since he'd left his home, bidding his family and friends goodbye, that Bram Kappel thought about what a big mistake he'd made by coming here. Here, of course, was Warren High, which he couldn't even describe as a school. Something about ancient stone castles tucked away in mountains, looming over pine forests and valleys for as far as the eye could see didn't exactly read "school" to him. He hadn't wanted to come when the letter first arrived inviting him to attend what could very well be the inspiration for Dracula's castle, had redoubled that opinion once he'd actually left for home, but what he wanted and what he knew was for the best were two completely separate things. Surely this place would be good for him, would give him more independence and a nice, shiny reference for any University applications, but he'd have to survive Secondary school first. Or perhaps just until the next break, he wasn't very picky.
Bram's attention was forcefully drawn from his own thoughts when a voice broke through the nervous chatter of students, cold and demanding attention. He recognized her, the headmistress, sharp, predatory eyes gazing over the room. She was an intimidating woman, Bram decided, all sharp angles contained in a carefully put together suit, and she practically oozed intimidation, drawing the eyes of the students with any sort of self preservation instincts like moths to a flame. The speech was rather short but standard, if only- perhaps it was just Bram over thinking things, but something seemed off about it. Secrets and traditions… Where was he, a Gothic horror novel?
She left then, disappearing with a click of heels against the stage. It took a moment for any of the students within the room to realize that they could leave, and it appeared as if they all rose as one, murmurs of conversation slowly but surely rising to a cacophony of noise. Bram, however, stayed seated, bags balanced precariously on his lap as the others filtered out of the room. He hadn't spoken to any of them and, in fact, not a single word had left his lips since the plane ride from Holland. It wasn't that he wasn't social- no, that was part of the issue. He wasn't fond of being alone in a crowd full of strangers, had never even been to summer camp before, so this entire experience was alienating and disconcerting.
After a majority of the crowd had dispersed, presumably to find their dorm rooms, Bram finally stood, slinging his backpack over one shoulder and picking up his suitcase with the opposite hand. It was heavy- of course it was, he'd packed for an entire year- but he could manage as he strolled out of the Assembly Hall and into the halls still packed with lingering students. It was only once he'd wrestled his dorm assignment out of his bag and glanced over the number did he realize that he had not idea where to go. Bram bit back a sigh, closing his eyes for a moment. Of course. Now he would have to talk to someone or else he might wind up in the dungeon he was sincerely convinced that Warren High had.
It was when he was looking around, searching for the most likely candidate, that a certain scene caught his attention and for all of the wrong reasons. A rather tall blonde boy was approaching one of the small groups clustered together, clinging to one another in the face of the unknown, a smirk spread across his face.
"Grab those two blue duffel bags over there and take them to room 191 and sit them on the first bed you see. Thank you." Bram froze, shock more than anything stilling him. Had he just…? Had that guy honestly just gone up to a random girl and told her to put his things away? And then just walked away, leaving his bags behind? Honestly? And she was- she was doing it. She was actually doing it. Bram's lips twisted into a scowl. He shouldn't have been surprised- of course there would be bullies at an elite boarding school, but to be so blatant about it. If there was one thing Bram couldn't stand, it was something like this, older students throwing their weight around, intimidating fresh blood into doing as they pleased. As passive as he was, that just wasn't on.
With all of the righteous fury of someone who'd dealt with their own share of bullying, Bram followed after the blonde, catching him by the shoulder despite the older boy having a few inches on him.
"Hey, klootzak," His English was stained with a thick accent, the words almost having to be forced out in their unfamiliarity. It didn't quite help that he'd never bothered to learn any English swears in or out of the classroom and was stuck more or less using his native Dutch. "I don't care who you are, you can't just push people around like that."
Alyx Giovanni~
He continued to laugh as he couldn't help but watch the female struggle with his bags. His eyes narrowed towards a male that was approaching him as he heard the word that he had called him. When the male was finish talking, he smiled towards him then extended his hand. "Hi, I'm Alyx. Not no klootzak or whatever you just said." A small smirk started to dance across his lips. "In America, we do things a little different. You see someone weak and vulnerable, you do the best you can to take them out." He lied. It was the most vampiric thing he could say at that moment and time. "But hey, you words were very touching..." He sniffed the air and smelled that he was indeed human. 'Filthy.' He thought to himself.
"You know, I am extremely sorry and will get my own bags." Alyx said while circling slowly around the male, stroking his chin with interest. "Say, how would you like to be the best of friends?" Another smirk came across his face as his eyes narrowed towards his brother, who was going upstairs and probably towards his room. "Maybe we can chat some other time." Without the male being able to respond, Alyx walked off and caught the female at the stairs. "Give me my bags, filthy vermin." He snatched his bags away from her and carried them to his room, throwing them in then leaving as he followed his brother's scent.
Alyx went towards his brother's room and didn't bother knocking before entering. "Hello brother..." He glared at his roommates with disgust. "Others." His concentration then went towards his brother as he sighed. "Can you believe one of the human guys talked to me? Ew. I feel like going to a Sauna and just staying in there for days." He joked while walking all the way in the room, jumping on his brother's bed while smiling. "So, what you guys talking about?" A look of interest was placed upon his face as he glanced his bright blue eyes at everyone.
"Um, hello. I'm Vincens, your guys' roommate."
Damian turned his head to see another tall, blond young man entering the room. This school certainly had no shortage of good looking, tall, blond young men. He was pretty sure that he was Alyx's twin, but he hadn't see the two of them together very often, so he wasn't sure. He seemed a lot less forward than Alyx. Before he could ask whether or not they were related, Alyx had appeared in the doorway and invited himself into the room.
"Hello brother..." Well that answered his question, "Others."
The rest of Alyx's speech rather annoyed Damian; he didn't like the way he looked down on him and Zane nor the intense disgust he held for humans.
"We'd only really got to introductions." Damian answered, "Nothing special." Damian stood up from his bed and began moving towards the door, "It's pretty stuffy in here, so I'm going outside for a bit for some fresh air. See you all in a bit."
Damian closed the door firmly behind him and let out a deep breath. It was obvious that something awkward was going to happen in there, and he had no intention of being a part of it. He returned to his usual, slightly slouched posture and returned his hands to his pockets. As he set off down the hallway he caught sight of a rather angry human who seemed to be in the right place for Alyx to have just talked to him.
"Hey!" Damian greeted him as he walked over, "You don't happen to be the guy Alyx just talked to, do you? Tall guy with blond hair and blue eyes, not the friendliest of people, was probably following some hum-" Damian coughed slightly in a poor attempt to hide his slip of the tongue, "Girl with a couple of blue bags. Anyway, I'm Damian, nice to meet you."
"Hm. Interesting. Strangers. Monsters. Possibly humans"
Something strange around the big brute started to shimmer. It looked like.....a white aura.
His glamour.
As it continued to peel off, he revealed swampy green skin that shined in gloss. His body turned massive, his uniform turned into rags, and his beard started to grow. With an outright jaw, the monster laughed.
In a whisper, Drake said, "I was right...an ogre, indeed".
With another outburst of loud laughter, the buff ogre in ragged clothes approached.
"And I hope you know how strong I am!". Roaring, the ogre brought his fist down towards Drake. But it was stopped.
Still in glamour, Drake held his own against the ogre. The large fist, touched by a smaller hand, was stopped.
In amazement and confusion, the ogre back away along with his mates.
"W-what?! How can this be?", he shouted in rage. Drake's lips started to curve on the edges.
Suddenly, he started to approach the towering ogre.
Suddenly, he raised his hand with an open palm. Pointing the open palm, he faced the ogre that had started to panic.
"Stop", Drake ordered. Suddenly, the ogre and the group looked back, confused.
"W-wait, what?".
"I said stop. Your causing too much of an audience here".
The ogre and the group turned their heads in all directions. Everywhere they faced, they'd see a group of students watching carefully. There'd be innocent faces, angry faces, interested faces, bored faces, etc. Realizing how much pressure they held the whole time, the group backed down. Using his glamour, the brute turned himself back into his hidden form.
".......", the ringleader started to leave. Drake just continued to watch.
"...See? All brains, no brawn", he stated.
He continued to walk through the halls, as the crowd continued to watch him instead.
Zane
Zane glanced around at the two new comers as the few people gathered traded introductions Zane then and sniffed the air taking in the fresh scents. "Ah... Vampire's... Nice to meet you Vincen..." He spun on his heels to face Vincen and Alyx as he had a smirk spread across his face. "My name's Zane... It's a pleasure too meet you Vincen." He glanced over at Alyx and scowled, he already did like Vincen's brother. "A human teacher? Really? Well guess the Head Mistress is serious about this whole human and monster bonding." The demon began laughing and then smirked as he rubbed the bridge of his nose.
"Well I think I'm going for a walk aswell. I mean I think we can drop our Glamours at 5:00 right? I want the night..." He smiled as he went through his trunk and pulled out a jacket and tossed it over his shoulder as he walked towards the door. "Also Vincen nice to meet you, hope we'll get along swimmingly, your brother. Show some respect least I tear your organs from your body and feed it to my hellhounds." Every word aimed at Alyx seemed to drip with venom as he dropped his glamour for a moment revealing the demon beneath as Zane opened the door and stared at Alyx before slamming the door and then his hair turned blonde, his horns receded and his eye's turned light blue as he started walking down the hallway as he headed in the direction Damien went.
From the moment Bram had stopped him, the other boy had been a whirlwind of words and motion, turning to him with a smile plastered on his face, hand held out in an abrupt gesture. Bram stared at the outstretched hand blankly, eying it like one might a trap so obvious that it's embarrassing to look at. Whatever he'd been expecting from the other boy, this Alyx, this certainly hadn't been it. If anything, that little introduction seemed to hint at the fact that he was more of an asshole than Bram had first surmised.
"In America, we do things a little different. You see someone weak and vulnerable, you do the best you can to take them out." Alright, so, yes, Bram had been completely right; he was something of an ass. Even if the lie about Americans hadn't been so blatantly and painfully obvious- he was Dutch, not stupid, thanks very much- the little phrase revealed more of the other boy's mentality than anything up to that moment. Bram had to repress a snort of disgust; this was boarding school, not the battlefield. What was all of this nonsense about taking people out?
However, before he could even reply, the blonde was bouncing off to a new topic just as quickly, circling Bram like he was prey, not a fellow student at Warren High. His apology was just as disingenuous as before, a fact so blatantly obvious that not even the slight language barrier could mask it. The offer of friendship seemed just as fake as Alyx gazed at him like he was a particularly interesting specimen, ripe for study. Then, without much else besides a quick goodbye, the other boy was off, traipsing up the stairs as if nothing had ever happened leaving a very confused Bram behind. What had just happened…? He wasn't quite sure, running the brief but perplexing encounter through his mind, searching for any real meaning behind it, and deciding that it wasn't worth the bother. After all, in such a large school what were the chances that he'd see the other boy again?
It was only when he'd finally given up understanding what had just happened, adjusting the suitcase in his grip, that he was approached by yet another quick talking student. This one was certainly… interesting to look at, if only for his hair, long and a color that Bram was quite certain came in a bottle rather than having any association with natural hair colors. Not that he minded, plenty of his friends back home had experimented with dye of unusual colors, it was just slightly out of place in his idea of an elite academy.
"You don't happen to be the guy Alyx just talked to, do you? Tall guy with blond hair and blue eyes, not the friendliest of people, was probably following some hum-Girl with a couple of blue bags. Anyway, I'm Damian, nice to meet you." It took Bram a moment to understand what he'd just said before he nodded. Well, at least this one- Damian, he mentally corrected- made sense. Or, well, at least he wasn't talking down to him.
"Unfortunately, I am. Bram Kappel. It's nice to meet you." He bobbed his head in a little nod before pausing. He wasn't quite sure why the other boy was here, pleasant or not, and asking him questions. Obviously he wasn't looking for the blonde, or else he wouldn't have known what had happened.
"Why do you ask? Can I help you with something?" Well, he could wonder about it all day or he could ask now and, given his general track record for bluntness, the second option was a no-brainer.
