Description

Theme Song 1 | Human

Theme Song 2 | The Reveal

Theme Song 3 | Monster

Adopted Name: Demetrius Homs
Aliases: None
Apparent Age: 26
Gender: Male
Classification: Class I

Image
Appearance (Human): (Plus a tattoo of the first image on his right outer bicep)

Image
Appearance (Monster):

Skills: Hand-to-hand combat, exceptional brute strength and respectable wits when it comes to strategy. In his Monster form, he has considerable power that can go toe-to-toe with a Class IV or V, despite not consuming a single Fragment. Also in his Monster form, he can shred his enemies with his fine-tipped claws.

Special Ability: While in his Monster form, Renauch can summon balls of explosive flames; these orbs' densities and pressures can be manipulated to have a variety of different effects. Thus, no matter what size these spheres are--from as large as cars to as small as golf balls--their destructive capabilities can seem random to someone who can't figure out his attack patterns without being obliterated into dust. On top of this, his smaller frame (compared to most other Fragments' Monster forms) and a decrease in weight allows him to be considerably agile and quick, only increasing his deadliness.

Weaknesses: Anything relating with liquid water that touches him can weaken him. Also, if the fiery inferno sprouting from his back is covered/, then he will gradually overheat, as the fire acts as a vent to regulate his body temperature.

Other Fragments Consumed (If Known): None

Persona: Renauch is a very passive being, preferring to follow his pursuit of knowledge and truth rather than bathing himself in the blood of others--both innocent and fellow Fragments. His entire quest can be boiled down to a single question: "What does being a human mean?"

However, when in the face of others, he is considerably outspoken and honorable. He places his moral code in high regard, willing to go to the ends of the earth to follow it; he believes that any form of power should be moderated and limited, after all. Whether it be a total unwillingness to attack an innocent being or following his superiors' every order (unless they contradict his own beliefs), the other Wilde Jagd recruits will inevitably see Renauch as the "big brother" of the group.

Known History: Not much is known about Renauch, as only a small number of people (including a couple Hounds) have ever caught onto his trail. Unlike most Fragments during the escape of Saltmaw, Renauch slipped out of the area without needing to spill a single drop of blood, beginning his pastime of visiting different towns shortly after. What little information about him known to the Hounds is that he spends his time wandering from place to place, doing nothing more than experiencing things that humans take for granted, like drinking, going to the market, and enjoying himself at entertainment centers. One of these people who caught onto him in the past had theorized that Renauch endlessly travels to try to be more like a human, simply due to curiosity, intrigue, and perhaps even longing. However, due to him being only a Class I Fragment, the Hounds have effectively put his file to the bottom of the stack, basically freeing him from any major threats.

But one day, he noticed that the same group hunting him down was accepting new recruits. Throwing caution to the wind and forgoing his survival instinct, he decided to enlist in order to gain a better understanding of humans.

Other: The minute detail that allowed people in the past to suspect him of being a Fragment is his sharp yellow eyes. He's been able to skate by almost unquestioned by stating that it was a minor birth defect unrelated to the Witch Gene. He also has a tattoo (the first image at the top) on his right outer bicep; while most people wouldn't think anything of it, there are still a few Fragments out there that would know him if they saw it, as they saw it on his arm during the escape of Saltmaw.

So begins...

Renauch -- who had now officially taken on the name of Demetrius Homs -- glanced at the recruits further up the line, wondering why the line was moving so slow.

He got his answer a couple minutes later; a visibly-distressed Hound (who was likely low-ranking) was scribbling down as much information as they could gather about the trainees before sending them off to join a group of registered recruits.

The line eventually started at Demetrius, as the recruits in front of him were already standing in an orderly fashion. He laid the paper down in front of the Hound, who frantically hurried to jot down the information, not even thinking about the truthfulness of it all. Once they gave him his papers back, Demetrius stood at attention in the third row, being the fourth person from the left.

Compared to the other recruits, he was one of the tallest, measuring a respectable 6'3.5". He had worn his usual outfit: a darker grey dress shirt rolled up and buttoned directly above the elbow, blue jeans, and brown hiking boots.

Demetrius was a bit of a lost fellow, even when he was locked up in Saltmaw. He communicated effectively and displayed true emotions, but he didn't understand the purpose of his existence. In short, he wanted truth. In the meantime, he had essentially melded with his surroundings while he had wandered throughout the world. He was dutiful, strong, principled--exactly what he'd seen in the mayor of a town called Duluth two years prior.

Enough. Just pay attention to what might happen. And so, patiently, he awaited further instruction on behalf of the instructor.

Demetrius stood at attention for a solid ten seconds before he heard a thud in front of the group of recruits. The curiosity in him wanted to sprint into the scene to see what caused the sound, but his principles and honor allowed only an inquisitive glance to be made.

Two males--one with unoriginal facial features and clothing who shot up straight and began blubbering to the victim, and the victim himself, who seemed relatively unaffected by the incident.

Without warning, the hospitable side of him broke though his honor's barriers, causing Demetrius to break formation and walk up to the two of them.

He turned to the older man first.

"Hey, it's okay. Calm down, sir. You don't need to be so apologetic." He held out his hand for a handshake. "My name is Demetrius Homs. A pleasure."

Once they had shaken hands, Demetrius turned to the other man, holding a hand out to help him up.

"Are you okay?"

Something stirred in the crypts beneath the compound. It was not the long dead fallen heroes of the Hounds' though. No, it was a witch by the name of Abigail. Abby flexed and pulled herself up from her cot. The crypts where mostly dark with only weak torches and the faint glow of Abby's arm to light it. Abby trudged through the shadowy tunnels towards the surface and light of the morning sun.
Abby knew the instructors didn't like for her to be in here, but she didn't care. The tombs gave her a sense of safety. A place away from the others. A place of rest.
Abby soon found herself outside her dark sanctuary. She blinked as the light of the sun burned her eyes. She sighed and placed a hand above her eyes to shade them as she looked around the compound. She soon heard a commotion and looked to see Aedric begging someone's forgiveness. Abby shook her head and sighed walking toward Aedric.

" I see you're making new friends already." Abby teased giving Aedric a smirk.

"oh land, I am so sorry"

Silas looked in the direction of the voice abruptly not really expecting anyone to speak to him. It was the man that Silas had unwittingly tripped on, he offered Silas a hand introducing himself, somewhat stumbling over his words.

"oh no. Um I'm the one who should be sorry not you. It was my fault I should have been looking where I was going! Yeah. Um I guess I'm just a little. Distracted? I've never seen so many hounds, or witches for that matter in one place"

He looked at the man's hand, the man now known as Aedric. He looked at him for a moment before taking it and helping himself up. He opened his mouth to speak when he noticed a rather large gash on his arm from the fall, having torn right through his shirt into the skin. He looked up as another man ran up to them, wondering if Silas was okay. He locked eyes with the man, staring deep into his odd yellow eyes. Something was odd about him, this man seemed neither witch or human. His eyes softened just before looking away from the man and back towards Aedric. A fragment. Another Fragment has infiltrated the Jagd.

He shook the thoughts out of his head deciding to deal with this once things have setteled here."Yeah I'm okay. Don't worry it takes a lot more than that to actually hurt me." As he spoke he extended his arm, pulling up his damaged sleeve, giving all present an unobstructed view to the minor wound, which lay surrounded by dozens of other scars of varying sizes. Silas glanced towards the gash, concentrating hard on the blood, the bright red liquid, all at once darkened, and hardened. With the wound properly clotted all that remained was a harmless looking scab.

He looked at the two men in front of him surprised that he had attracted so much attention so quickly. He paused for a minute teh realization that he had failed to introduce himself finally dawning on him. [color=#af111c["Oh! I'm so dumb I know your names but neither of you know mine. I'm Silas. Silas Kost. nice to meet you both by the way."[/color]

Though he pretended not to notice he spotted a rather odd sight approaching them A girl, clearly a witch, one glance at her skeletal arm could tell that much. It seemed she knew Aedric by how she spoke to the man, though Silas didn't really pay much attention to her words. He was far to busy staring at her arm. "Oh your arm!" Silas turned around lifting his shirt up just enough to show off his flaw. "It's just like my spine. I haven't ever met a witch with a similar mutation before."

Outside and in the Hunter's Court, with book in hand and dress suit at the ready. Compared to many other well disciplined soldiers who wore actual armor such as leather or plate, Karolin was sticking out like a sore thumb...well a more sore thumb. She had the features of a witch, but the way she dressed she was rather inconspicuous. Of course, she never minded her choice of outfit, or even some glances in her direction. She was simply a human with different physical features, seeing someone with horns, wings and a tail was not that surprising right? Or perhaps it was? Many people had many thoughts of that matter but right now her thoughts decided to focus on her book.

As Karolin walked she did not pay much attention to her surroundings, only occasionally moving out of the way of other people as she read her book as she wandered around the courtyard...however she noted that there was a lot more people around than usual. Was there something going on today? Perhaps, but she never paid much attention to social events...Actually, she did pay attention to some events, maybe she forgot about the last event? She saw the most amazing butterfly that's why, it had stripes with dots, it was also a light gold color. It was such a sight that she had to look at.

Of course that must have meant that she missed whatever they were talking about. Suddenly closing her book shut and stuffing it in her suit, she soon looked around at her surroundings. There were plenty of people around, maybe one person knew what was going on. Yeah, she wanted to know what was going on. She was quite curious but who to talk to first? There were plenty of people around, so she had plenty of options to choose from. Maybe that man with the sword who looked well trained?...That woman with the bow whose eyes held experience?...Oh! What about that group of four people gathered together and talking normally? Yeah, they might know something.

She began to wander over to where the four people had their conversation. Once there she spoke up. "Hello, its a Good day isn't it? If it's not to much trouble I would like to ask what's going on?" Karolin voiced her question as she looked at the four.

Demetrius made eye contact with the man, studying his ice blue irises, and a sense of realization slowly overtook him.

This tripping victim was a Fragment just like him. His theory was solidified when he noticed a wound on his arm clot and scab over without effort.

What the hell? Why are other Fragments here? ...In any case, chances are that he doesn't have the greatest agenda. I'll have to keep my eye on him.

As the man -- known as Silas Kost -- introduced himself, he noticed a fourth person--a woman with a skeletal left arm that left Demetrius a bit uncomfortable--walking towards them, addressing the nervous wreck named Aedric in a nonchalant, familiar way.
Being unable to take his eyes off of the woman's mutation, he made no move to introduce himself.

Luckily, a fifth person stepped forward with curious eyes that turned his attention away from the woman's mutation, only to be greeted by sharp black horns that curled parallel to her head.

"Hello, it's a good day, isn't it? If it's not too much trouble, I'd like to know what's going on?" The horned girl quipped.

"Yeah, everything's okay. This guy," he pointed at Silas, "just tripped over Aedric. Luckily, no one was injured."

Demetrius made sure to keep Silas's scab a secret. He knew he'd thank him later.

Aedric smiled weakly. "Hi Abigail--I'm g--glad you came. Yeah, um, I just...Well. We were a bit--abruptly acquainted, yes. Nice to meet you all," he added with a polite nod to each of them in turn, embarrassed that he'd caused enough of a scene to draw a crowd, but relieved to find them all amiable enough.

He had relaxed somewhat, now, and seemed a bit less small, his trusting young face a bit less distorted with stress, though the omnipresent furrow of concern made no effort to disappear from his forehead. "I've never seen this many all together, either. It's k-- It's kind of incredible, isn't it?" As he looked around, a burst of something like patriotic pride swelled in his lungs like a breath of hot summer air. Despite his almost inherent unease at being surrounded by people who would usually be considered dangerous freaks and monsters, he knew there was something beautiful about this. They were all here for the same reason. They all wanted to work toward the same good. They all knew why they were here.

All, apparently, except for the new arrival to the conversation, the Witch with the horns and wings; she was one the more dramatically mutated Witches Aedric had seen, but given that present company was publicly healing up cuts in fast-motion and cheerfully comparing bits of their exposed skeletons...he couldn't let himself be too surprised. "Um...have you checked in? For--you know, recruiting?" he asked, assuming by her lack of uniform that she was one of the Hound-wannabes. He had a feeling her question about what was going on had more to do with the overall hubbub and less to do with the tripping incident, but Aedric tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, reasoning that perhaps her birth defect muddled her memory, or....something.

Spire surveyed the trainees in the courtyard with a half-disinterested, half-critical look in his pearl gray eyes. So much cheerful chattering going on. It was already making him tired. As he leaned in the shade against the cool side of a pillar, arms folded across his chest, he held himself in a manner distinctly casual for a soldier, yet not without a certain, keen alertness in his stillness, as though he could uncoil from the posture and strike in one smooth twitch.

After the final newcomers trickled through the signups, Spire pushed away from his post and strode to the flustered Hound acting as secretary. "Do you have my lot ready, darling?" he drawled, extending his hand for the papers. The size of this wave of trainees meant the rabble would split into separate units. Spire would have to work with them all eventually, but for now he would be obliged to take the great pleasure of herding one section of the upstarts into his fold and introducing them to the Hunter's Court. Sure to be Spire's favorite thing.

The Hound gave him a baleful look as she took a moment to finish writing the list - trying to integrate a balance of Witches with ordinary humans - and handed it to Spire, who took the liberty of hopping up onto the table, giving the Hound a good view of his well-weathered brogue boots.

He flapped the sheaf of paper straight and skimmed the list of a dozen or so names. He recognized one and looked up to spot Aedric for the first time. Damnit. Aedric had written to tell Spire he was thinking of enlisting. Spire hadn't received the letter until it was too late to tell him not to come.

"Listen up," Spire said, a bit of support thrown behind his smooth voice causing it to project across the courtyard without the need to shout. "My name is Spire Schippers. You're all going to be seeing a lot of me eventually, as you will the gifted Lyda Fox. As I call your name, head to the north east corner of the field. Get used to this list. This is going to be your unit for a long time."

He began reading his way down the names, and members of the crowd peeled off and headed to the spot Spire had indicated. About halfway through the names, Spire came to, "...Silas Kost. Aedric Terrence. Abigail Smith." Spire didn't flinch as he passed Aedric's name, reading it with the same lazy ease as the others. Nor did he react to Abigail's name, though he knew of her and knew Aedric had encouraged her attendance. A few more names passed, and then, finishing with, "Demetrius Homs. And Hari. The rest of you head to the south west," Spire slid off the table.

-

Aedric, meanwhile, looked up with a jerk of startled confusion when he heard Spire's voice. Spire was a field agent, not a trainer. What was he even doing here?

However, he did as he was told, migrating to the corner of the yard and standing up straight, ready to line up with the other recruits.

Demetrius intermingled with the others further, talking about menial current events. He was truly starting to bond with the others--even Silas, who was still on his cautious side. However, as they continued to mingle, he noticed a suave man stride past the trainees and towards the person who scribbled down his name before.

Demetrius went into a slight panic for a second. Oh, no...did he somehow find out about what I really am? While he was watching the man, a small amount of his distress showed up on his face; it was quickly replaced with relief, however, when he merely listed off some names--including his--and told these same people to move to the northeast section of the field.

Silas Kost. Aedric Terrence. Abigail Smith. And...Hari? ...These four...

He glanced at the four people--well, three people and one Fragment--in front of him, excluding the horned girl named Karolin.

will most likely be the best friends I've ever had, or my worst enemies.

Karolin tapped her chin before looking over at Aedric. She had multiple thoughts buzz across her mind, so all these people came to gather around after a single man tripped on someone? Or was this a more bigger event and this just happened while it was going on? Maybe he was important? Her thoughts suddenly stopped as Aedric asked if she had signed in.

Had she signed in? Now that was a thought...it was strange, recruits were supposed to sign in but she did that a few years ago. Strange, are they all recruits again? No, that would be silly thinking but not an impossibility. Maybe if she answered she would clear things up. "Sign up? I belive I did that a few years ago. I was just curious what was going on here. Its not everyday that a large group of people gather together like this. We are of course in a city with many people, but I guess today seemed less empty than usual. I am simply a Hound and a Hunter. Its strange really, a hunter usualy command a hound yet I am the hound that is doing the hunting. Its a really strange thought..." Karolin spoke as she questioned her position.

Of course, her ears picked up names being called out. Unfortanantly for Karolin she had nothing this time to distract her so he heard the order clearly. Many people head to the north east corner while everyone else head to the south west. With a small nod Karolin gave a small bow. "Farewell then. I hope I did not need to sign as well. That would be bad I guess...probally. Maybe?" She questioned herself as she turned around and began to walk off.

Silas stood there chatting amiably with the others. He sighed a quiet sigh, so low it was unlikely to have reached anyone's ears save for his own. His eyes trailed over the small group that has gathered around him, looking at each one for a brief few moments, the smallest amount of regret hiding behind the plain ocean of brown within his eyes. He gave his brother Demetrius a particularly long, but far less mournful glance.

What a shame. These people seem pretty decent. Too bad I'll probably have to kill them. And as for my brother,
well I best keep an eye on him. He could be dangerous. But maybe he could be an ally?

Already the Fragment began to regret speaking to these four, or anyone at all for that matter. From out of the murky depths of his memories images of friends slain by his blood passed through his mind. Beginning with the first friend he had ever made within the human world, it was she that lingered the longest before passing on to the others that met their end at his hands. For a moment he wondered if perhaps he should slink away, distance himsefl from the other recruits so he can do what needs to be done when the time comes. Of course then again, bonds shared the humans never stopped him from doing what was necassary, and making friends here would aid in maintianing his cover. Forming friends and relationships would certainly make him less suspicious. He smiled as the others talk, satisfied in managing to rationalize this all away.

A voice, commanding and strong, broke through the shadows of his internal conversation."Listen up,"My name is Spire Schippers. You're all going to be seeing a lot of me eventually, as you will the gifted Lyda Fox. As I call your name, head to the north east corner of the field. Get used to this list. This is going to be your unit for a long time."

When Silas saw the man speaking his face drained of its color becoming almost as white as his bones. He shook slightly upon seeing a face he had hoped never to see again but constantly gazed upon him within the confines of the fragment's nightmares. What was he doing here? This Hunter. He wasn't supposed to be here.

Silas tried to remain calm, to avoid alerting anyone something was wrong. Arms hugging his shoulders, images and memories ran wild through his mind. Memories of a skeletal beast amid the ruins and corpses of a small village. Memories of a lone hound engaging the beast in battle. Memories of the beast fleeing before the hound warrior. Even these memories paled in comparison that was the terror of watching this man savagely attack one of Silas' own. How the man had knocked on the boys door asking about fragments. How the cold sweat had poured down his brow, and how only good fortune had saved the fragment from the truth coming out.

He barely registered what happened next but vaguely understood that he was in the same unit as most of those already around him, and someone called Hari. His legs felt weak and he stumbled slightly almost finding himself on the ground again until he managed to restore his balance.

Spire eyed Hari. "Fortunately, you're one of a kind. Calm down, squirt," he said, not unkindly, but not exactly warmly, either. This spazzy kid was going to be a handful, he could tell.

As each recruit responded to Spire's call by heading to the corner, Spire made mental notes of their notable traits to help him learn their names. Mind you, he didn't care to learn them in the slightest, but he needed to do a meticulously good job with these runts to prove he'd learned his lesson so that he wouldn't have to go through this next year.

-

Aedric studiously pretended not to know his cousin/step brother the same way Spire studiously pretended not to notice him. After exchanging a grin of eager anticipation with Abigail, Aedric glanced at Silas and his smile faded. "Hey--Are you all right?" he mumbled, a hand half-extended, ready to steady him if he fainted or something, genuinely concerned that the guy might be having some kind of medical emergency.

-

"All right," said Spire when they had all gathered, half-dropping the air of formality now that he had a bit of distance from most of the experienced Hounds - at least the ones who wanted his blood. So far, he had gotten along with Lyda just fine. She seemed competent and had thusfar failed to annoy him in any poignant way. Tough enough, but reasonable and patient. She seemed to make a good Yin to his Yang. "Time to show all you around. If you have any questions, I'll respond to Agent Schippers. Or sir. Hell, just Spire if I like you enough."

He paused a moment, his pale eyes settling on each recruit for a few seconds. Half of them looked like scrawny teenagers. And even among those who looked to have a few more years of life experience under their belts, Spire could see expressions of fear. Spire often failed in interpreting subtle emotional changes on peoples' faces, but this fear wasn't subtle - especially on one young man, the pale, dark-haired one; the blanched terror on his face gave Spire a vague flicker of familiarity (someone he had spoken to on a hunt in a town, somewhere, perhaps?).

They were going to get eaten alive. Possibly literally. He had meant to save this for last, but he had an inkling to separate the wheat from the tares now.

"First of all, I'm going to take you to meet a friend of mine." He moved toward one of the buildings, unlocking and holding open the large, wood-carved door for the flood of future Hounds with a flourishing gesture.

Past the entry hall, along a corridor, through a locked door, down a very, very long flight of stairs. The walls were sturdy stone, marked here and there by stark decoration - banners and memorial tokens. Spire was taking them beneath the Hunter's Court.

At the bottom of the staircase stood two identical, thick, iron-enforced doors, each adorned with several layers of locks and deadbolts, one leading left and one leading right. Spire set his hand on the door on the right, lit by a humming fluorescent light overhead. "Fragment cells are through this way. Each one is kept in isolation. It's rather the whole point of our operation here." He set about unlocking the other door, the one on the left. "And this way is the, ah, power supply for the tech around here."

Behind the the door was a small room, and yet another door. A technician sat before a panel that blinked with dials and electronic readouts - technology that would look strange and new to many of the recruits.

"You know what to do," Spire said lazily to the technician.

The technician had opened this door for Spire before, but never with an entourage. His gaze slid over the recruits nervously, and he gave Spire a worried glance, followed by a questioning one at Lyda to make sure this was really okay, but then he did as he was told.

Stiflingly warm air rushed out of the opening. Spire smiled into it as it ruffled his hair, and he crossed the threshold, guiding his little herd of underlings through after him.

Aedric thought he knew what was coming, but he nevertheless felt the blood draining from his face as an involuntary lurch of pity mingled with horror twisted in his stomach.

A much larger space greeted them on the other side, though its occupant didn't seem able to enjoy much of said space. She was what looked like a tall, red-haired woman, bound by chains and four thick beams of heat-conductive metal which thrust through her arms, between the radius and ulna, and apparently bored straight through her shins.

Spire turned his back on her to face the recruits, smiling placidly as though unaffected by the nightmarish scene behind him. "This is The Red Beast. You may have heard of her. We go way back." He winked briefly over his shoulder. "Don't we, Red? Now listen, all of you, stay behind the line unless you want your skin melted off," he directed, indicating the bright white band painted onto the concrete floor in a wide arc around the Fragment, an indicator of how far one must stay away to avoid any projected attacks from the creature.

Spire, however, did not follow his own advice, and he turned back to the Fragment and stepped tauntingly just over the line.

"Hello, Red, how's work?" Spire asked in a cheerful, playful tone. "Would you like to say hello to the rising generation of Hounds?"

"All right...time to show all you around. If you have any questions, I'll respond to Agent Schippers. Or sir. Hell, just Spire if I like you enough."

As the group was moving forward, Demetrius took the time to study the others, glancing at each one while he thought to himself; it was in his nature to want to seek the proverbial gold at the end of the rainbow, after all.

Aedric Terrence...definitely someone I could get along with. He's too much of a wimp to do anything immoral...but he does seem to have the capacity of doing something stupid.

Abigail Smith...while she's definitely odd, she seems like someone who I could legitimately trust. Perhaps not if she knew my secret, though. Even with one arm, it looks like she could pack quite the punch.

Hari...just like Aedric, his lack of experience is gonna probably end up causing something bad to happen. I don't know if it'll be to me, or him, or to anyone and everyone, but I do know for certain that it'll certainly be a pickle to get out of.

And finally--
Demetrius took a good, long look at Silas--...Silas Kost. Although I think our relationship could remain amicable, his nonchalant, almost overconfident features tell me that he can't be trusted if we're both found out. It'll be some time before I can begin to properly trust him.

As for Spire Schippers, Demetrius had a slowly-growing distaste for his superior. It was clear that he didn't truly care for his subordinates. However, Demetrius was a soldier. No matter what he thought of the people leading and directing him, he should never question their legitimacy--that is, unless they violate his beliefs. Which didn't seem completely out of the realm of possibility for Spire.

Demetrius was brought out of the confines of his mind when he noticed that they were walking into a certain building, stepping down an expansive flight of stairs that ended at two metal doors. "Fragment cells are through this way. Each one is kept in isolation. It's rather the whole point of our operation here."

His eyes widened in shock when they entered the corridor. All around his flanks, Fragments were lined in solitary cells. What he couldn't fathom, however, was how many he recognized--both from Saltmaw and during his travels as a wanderer.
Ilirath...Sivreo...Bareol...this is where they took you guys after you were captured?

He stopped in his tracks when they came upon the last cell, which was already facing the group. An expression of terror befell his face when he saw the Red Beast restricted by chains in the center.

She had nearly killed him during one of her last rampages.

In the chaos that was tearing up his usually-structured thoughts, he became worried for Spire when he entered the Red Beast's radius of destruction.

"Would you like to say hello to the rising generation of Hounds?"

Demetrius didn't care what happened next; he just didn't want to be recognized by the Red Beast. He knew for sure that it would place unwanted suspicion on himself.

Abigail stuck close to Aedric. Even though she thought him a wimp at times he was the only one in this group she truly trusted. She was quite shocked seeing Spire show up, though not so shocked at the way he carried himself. Spire was an ass but she knew he could be be trusted.

Abigail followed Spire and the rest in silence. That was until they opened the doors to the cells. Deeper and deeper they went. Abby peeked in a room or two but never for long. She glaced at Aedric from time to time. Part of her wanted to say something but she stayed quiet.

The group finally came to another door and Spire opened it. Beyond the door lay something the likes of which she had never seen. Spire called the female creature the Red Beast. A very fitting name she thought as she stepped closer.

"So this is a fragment?" Abby asked as she stepped up close to the line making sure not to cross over it as she studied the creature.

Silas watched but barely reacted to the apperance of Hari and Ms. Fox, still pale from the unpleasant arrival of Spire. It took him a few moments to notice that Aedirc was speaking to him. Silas managed a small nod and a smile. "Oh yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry." Silas forced the color to return more than aware that his reaction was being noticed. He took a deep breath. Everything was going to be fine. He could handle Spire. When the time came he could handle him. After all Silas had the surprise advantage. He could catch the Hound off guard, he could kill him before the man even had a chance to strike back.He smiled at the thought of finally seeing Spire's crushed body, bloody, and broken. Finally an end to the nightmare.

As they walked among the cells Silas sported wided awestruck eyes. He couldn't believe his eyes. Fortune had smiled upon the fragment. His enemy had served as his guide, bringing Silas to the cells of his siblings. He was prepared to be patient. Prepared to wait for his oppritunity to find this place, and already in less than a few hours he was here.

No longer steeped in fear he wore a calmer form of cautiousness, though his stomach twisted and turned, an unease creeping up his back at seeing his brethren stuck in cages. He didn't let this unease take shelter on his face, instead he studied the fragments within the cells, seeing who he recognized, who would cause the most damage once freed. As he did so he began to imagine himself locked behind bars once more but quickly pushed the thought from his mind, not caring for the memories being brought to the surface.

He looked at the fragments within the cages. Many of them looked at his little group with ire that stung like acid at skin.
Many others just seemed to stare at the walls of their cells, dejectedly, and empty, all hope for freedom gone.I will not let this be me. Not again. Never again. Don't worry brothers and sisters. When the time is right. I will set you free, and the Hounds will die

As the technician opened the door Silas found himself wondering exactly which of his kin lay behind the door. It was a sturdy looking cell. Far more so than the ones they had passed beforehand. Whoever sat beyond it certainly seemed a higher priority. One the Hounds would least want escaping. Silas made a mental note of this cell for the future intending for this one to be one of the first gifted with freedom.

Upon entering the room the temperature immediate and almost violently changed, his brow began to sweat. Was it the heat or the creature that sat before him? Spire called her the Red Beast, an appropriate moniker if there ever was one, one that rang familiar bells. Silas never had the pleasure of meeting this one, but her name was spoken by the Hounds in hushed whispers. This one scared them and from what he's heard for good reason.. She stood kneeling like a dog, trapper with no hope of escaping. Her limbs were speared leaving her incapable of moving, the cursed things leaving hideous scars across her flesh. She was broken, chained, and yet somehow still radiated an aura of pure power, and strength. She was not afraid. You hate him too. Don't you sister? Don't worry. Just give me time, and I can give him to you

"So this is a fragment?" Abby's question broke Silas from his shifting plans. He looked at her than back towards red. He moved back a bit from the line but kept his eyes focused on Red.Looks like it, yeah. I've never seen one so close before. The Red Beast? I've actually heard of her I think. She's killed dozens of Hounds right?"

To the south...To the south east?....To the...The...How were the trainees doing? She wondered why she was walking to the south now. Why was that actually? Did she have something important to do? If she had something important to do surley she would not have forgotten. She must have been on a lovley stroll surley, with a nice sun and many new faces walking around it was definitely a lovely stroll.

Deciding it was best to go check up on the new people, she turned around and began to head north west. That's where that man told them to gather. She was curious to find out about the new Hounds that would join them now. She only spoke to them for a few merry minutes. They had the strangest questions. And they were strange people.

They would be good company she was sure of that. And perhaps she could lend some of her knowledge to them. Yeah, she was ready to meet them. After wandering around the town for a few minutes longer than needed to look at some interesting sights. Weeds growing on stone...such a sight indeed. It was interesting to see nature retake land. Even hard stone was no match for the growth of nature.

Oh yeah, the new recruits. She soon arrived at the entrance of the cells and wandered inside. There were faces she has never seen. Oh! She remembered one face! Not The Red Beast of course, some other Fragment. Yeah, their leader during that time messed up hard and got her team in very big trouble. It was a little bothersome, was she mad? Sad? Neutral? She was not sure what she felt during that time. All she knew was that he sucked as a leader during that time and a bit of people were killed.

New recruits, of course. Walking behind Silas, Karolin tapped him on the shoulder. "How goes the tour?" She asked unsure if she startled him or not.
