Luca Martin Feygor

Theme 2 Music

Gender::
Male

Age::
17

Rank::
Noble

Sexuality::
Heterosexual

Appearance::
Like his rank suggests, Luca is a noble and has the rugged charm to go along with it. Standing relatively tall (180 cm) and well built, Luca has a sublime presence matched by his river blue eyes. Young, yet somewhat rough, his messy black hair and sharp features lend well to his animated expressions. Luca can look good in anything, although he rarely makes the effort to do so. Frequently caught wearing casual clothes, Luca is a master of disguise and blends in well with any setting.

Personality::
Luca is nothing but an image, an aspiration. Cheerful, kind and somewhat mischievous, this is the façade Luca presents at all times. In this fashion, Luca often appears to be insincere as he glosses over comments or replies with a snide remark. Never one to remain silent, Luca isn’t shy either. He is obtrusive yet secretive, jovial yet sly.

Luca is smart also, his ability to analyse and calculate situations has stunned even some of the best scholars in the academy. Yet behind the courteous smiles and tomfoolery lies a sinister, subtle existence. Luca's emotions are like a fine wire, in a snap his personality can go from cheerful to intimidating. Nothing pronounced like the rage of a psychotic, but rather like the suffocating atmosphere of looking into a mirror. Luca has an ethical code of sorts, defined by his strong albeit flawed, sense of justice. This is abolished the moment Luca snaps. As his mood changes, so to does his actions. Luca's mind has never fully recovered since the incident from his 9th birthday and he is still deeply troubled by it. Perhaps the most frightening part of Luca’s personality though is his resolve. That he would stop at nothing to achieve his mission or goals.

Skills::
Information & data gathering - A result of his amazing memory and his attention to detail.
Mixture of street fighting & martial arts - Contrary to his charming nature, Luca was quite the delinquent. He has a keen sense of handling himself in close combat ever since his dad, an ex-soldier, began beating him. The real truth behind his strength lies in his ability to adapt. It's uncertain when this began but for a long time now Luca has been purposefully using Blue Horror's sensory abilities on himself to train and heighten his own sensory thresholds. However, if possible, Luca always attempts to resolve conflicts diplomatically first.
Cooking - Having taken up cooking for his grandparents, Luca has become quite the masterchef.

Clothing Design, Boxing

Name of Bond::
Blue Horror

Race of Bond::
Demon - Vassago

Personality of Bond::
Blue horror is an enigma, a disturbing existence that shouldn’t exist by all rights. His relationship with Luca seems to be purely based on mutual necessity rather than the typical bond shared between humans and their Bonds. The Blue horror is a demon, or perhaps it is a mythological creature. Barely humanoid, it is a mass of rippling, blue tinged flesh with a chaotic mixture of limbs of various sizes. He wears runic red robes which seem to writh with a life of their own, swirling freely and openly, its very presence seems to warp reality around it. Preferring to travel alone, Luca is rarely seen with his Bond. Indeed, many often assume that his bond was simply killed. Luca hides the Blue Horror's presence at all times and keeps its true form a secret in public. Whether this is because Luca doesn't want to scare people or simply doesn't want to deal with the trouble of revealing the Blue horror's terrifying form is unknown. If necessary he simply covers his Bond in another set of heavy robes to hide its disquieting appearance.

Blue horror stands a good head taller than most humans (235 cm). It is an insidious creature whose form is born from the things of nightmares. Ironically, in contrast to its appearance, the Blue Horror is highly intelligent and if anything, much more honest and open than Luca. The Blue horror has an excessive appetite for learning and spends most of its time reading.

Skills of Bond::
Teleportation - Has a limited range of 100m, useful for getting to class if running late. It's not a traditional teleporting, but rather, Luca or the Blue horror must swap positions with inanimate objects they've come into contact with before, although Blue has much more freedom over this ability that Luca.
Gluttony – For brief periods of time, Blue Horror can choose to enhance or rob a being of up to 2 of its senses. These include touch, hearing, taste, smell, sight, balance and acceleration (vestibular system), pain (noniception), thermoception, kinesthetic sense (proprioception) and time (chronoception).

History::
It’s perhaps prudent to say that life has been less than kind to Luca. Born in Kuttailec, Luca had a family of four, consisting of his mother, father and an older sister. Luca’s father was an abusive and arrogant retired soldier who frequently took to beating Luca’s mother. For the young boy, Luca was four when the beatings first began. Initially it was the bruises which first piqued his curiosity, but one night he witnessed the act first hand. It was a simple mistake to be honest. Stumbling out of bed, groggy, yet desperate to reach the toilet at the end of the hallway, Luca raced out of his room in the middle of the night. It was then that a quiet whimper caught his attention.

Downstairs, in the lounge room, there was the sound of struggling and a clatter of silverware. Investigating the source of the noise, Luca discovered his father beating his mother for the very first time. Luca was horrified at first. Seeing the anguished face of his mother, something dark and sinister grew within him. It was a seething, bubbling rage which no child should have been capable of exhibiting. Luca stormed in, interrupting his father and offering himself up in exchange. From there, Luca was punished severely. His father chided Luca’s naivety and weakness and beat him till he was bloody.

Things would remain the same until his 9th birthday. Luca shared a close relationship with his older sister. She, more than his mother, was an inspiration to him because of her intellect and kindness. Luca had been beaten by his father ever since he was four but surprisingly this remained a secret between the two. The discovery was made on his 9th birthday. Confronting their father, Luca’s sister intervened and made a formal protest. Their father’s response was simply a violent and immediate slap. Luca’s pent up rage over the past five years finally caught up to him. The years of anger, hate and abuse he wanted to throw back exploded as he took up a knife and lunged forwards murderously.

Luca’s sister ended up stopping him, but it was she, instead of his father who was stabbed instead. Realising what he'd done, something snapped within Luca that day. The sense that nothing else mattered overcame all thoughts and all that remained was death. The true extents of the entire event are shrouded in mystery, especially with concerns to what happened afterwards. When the police arrived to investigate, they discovered the gruesome scene and a terrified kid all alone. Nothing else, not even the the parent's and sister's Bonds had survived intact. In the end the entire incident was wrapped up as a break-in robbery. The truth of what occurred was never discovered and neither where Luca's sins. Afterwards, Luca was adopted by his grandparents. An ex-general and ex-lawyer who sympathised with his situation and vowed to look after him in his parent’s stead. So began his life as a noble.

Luca M. Feygor

"Would you like me to send Snow through the forest ahead of us?"

Luca turned to the source of the question and found Rue staring at him, her emerald eyes startling him like always. As she spoke he noticed her finger curling the locks in her hair, a habit which indicated something was troubling her. Certainly she seemed more reserved now than she’d been in class earlier, her chuckle at his earlier joke dieing down so fast he’d hesitate to call it that. Luca hummed as he considered her proposal, his fingers scratching the end of his chin. Thinking clearly in the forests was proving futile thanks to the constant buzz of creepy crawlies irritating him at every turn. This environment in contrast to the city was stark to say the least.

“I think it should be alright to call her back. We’ve got more than enough bonds to track for us, so we might as well share the responsibility,” Luca returned, grinning at Rue. “Besides, it’ll be boring for me without your constant verbal debates with Snow”

“Acting tough, like usual,” Blue’s rumbling voice was almost lost in the gathering thunderstorm as he towered over Rue from behind. Now that the storm had become more intense, the wind was carrying the demon's robes and buffeting it around more than usual. “Are you two friends?”

“Mind your own business Blue,” Luca's lips let slip the venom which coated over the bond’s name.

He strode nonchalantly over to a tree then and slapped a yellow notepad paper against the hard bark. “We’ll use these as an indicator just in case. Going around in circles in a forest is a common mistake I hear,” Explaining what he was doing to her before gesturing with an open palm to the green foliage ahead. “Let’s get moving anyway, i hate bad weather”

Rue Tyryl

Her eyebrow arched as the creature that dwarfed her from behind spoke and he responded in kind, but his voice was thick with acid that made her shiver. Her voice was lost to her for a moment as Luca moved to a nearby tree and put a piece of paper on it. The bright yellow was a brilliant contrast to the stark brown of the forest. From the canopy above, Snow came diving back down, opening her wings at the last moment to land on Rue's shoulder and fluff her white feathers as the wind began to pick up. It was cold to say the least, not something that Rue was going to enjoy very much.

"If I fly low, I can scout ahead of us a ways, but not for very long," Snow said as she rubbed her face against Rue's cheek.

"Don't worry about it," Rue replied reaching up and stroking the birds beak. Her smile returned then as she recalled what Luca said. So, she kept things entertaining for him? Well, it was better than bothering him all the time. For that she laughed lightly as the wind gave a harsh blow through the trees.

“Let’s get moving anyway, I hate bad weather,” Luca called out and started walking south. Rue fell in step behind him with her brother matching Luca's stride and Suren right with him. Turning slightly, Rue looked to see if anyone else was following them. She was sure that Aslan and a few other students would as the boy had clearly stated that it was a better idea to stay in a group.

Turning back to face the way they were going, she spotted the black form of Nemesis rushing forward and putting his nose to the ground as he started scouting out the area ahead of him. In response to this, Erin started directing them on where to step. Traps already? Jeez, Rue thought to herself.

"They did say that we'd be tested," Snow said as she cleaned her feathers.

"Yeah, that's not helping."

"Oh, sorry... Well, look at the bright side. You have Luca."

"Oh will you stop with that!" Rue said sharply, trying to keep her voice down.

"What!? I didn't do anything, I'm just saying. Seem's like he likes you."

Her green eyes narrowed and Snow gave a slight squeak that sounded half like laughter and half like fear. The hill they walked on started to incline, forcing Rue to lean forwards heavily and push herself up the hill. Her small size meant not a lot of weight had to be pulled, but with the wind rushing through the trees, she didn't have a lot of body weight to keep her steady. She wobbled easily in the growing storm, Snow's wings expanded and put up a shield to try to ease the troublesome wind. It worked for the most part, but Snow couldn't keep it up for very long, so she had to settle with doing it at intervals.

Rue soon fell a little ways behind, but she could still see Erin and Luca ahead of her. Nemesis was lost to her though, but Erin's voice could still be heard. Snow opened her wings to block the wind again and Rue started to climb a bit faster to try to catch up. It didn't take long for her to lose her breath and she was soon struggling to keep the air in her lungs, no thanks to the damn wind storm.

"All hell... this is... ridiculous," Rue panted as she continued the climb.

"You could ask for a lift," Snow poked in slyly.

"Oh you did not just say that," Rue would have continued with the idea, but as she took another step something twisted around her ankle. In the next instant she was pulled to the ground and the trap that was triggered dragged her off the path and into the woods. Snow gave a sharp scream while Rue only gasped in shock. She hit the ground hard and felt as if she'd hit every stick in the universe while she was dragged. Her fingers tried to grab something to hold onto but the storm was making it impossible to do so and in the process her fingers were only getting torn up.

When she finally stopped, her leg was still twisted up in the trap against a very large tree. Rolling over, Rue tried to get an idea as to where she'd gone. If anything she was sure she could follow her drag marks back to the trail. It took some doing, but she managed to get the backpack off and open it. Inside was a knife that she pulled out and unsheathed. As she made to pull herself forward she felt a sharp sting through the side of her abdomen and immediately fell back.

"Don't! Don't, you're going to make it worse," Snow's voice was clipped as she felt the burning of the wound as well. Rue winced then as her mind registered that she'd cut herself pretty deep. The white cloth of her shirt was stained red and she gingerly lifted it to see the damage. Pieces of sharp sticks were stuck to her so she brushed them away, leaving tiny little cuts that were nothing compared to the deep gash she'd received from something else while being dragged.

"Damnit..." she cursed softly and lay back against the forest floor and tried to think of a way to free herself before the woods became darker.

Luca M. Feygor

The soft crunching of foliage underfoot was their only indication of movement as the group trudged on, slowly navigating their way over the tiring inclines. Luca couldn’t help but feel like a child, lost in the forests and unable to see what was ahead of him as he gazed around, a foreboding green and brown filling his vision. Thankfully, they had Rue’s brother to lead the way. A fellow whose sharpness was matched by the hereditary green of his eyes, his dark clothes faded entirely within the eeriness of the forest, giving him an intimidating presence.

Abruptly, the ear piercing shriek of a bird cut through the deep thunder and alerted them all to something happening from behind. The sudden change in pitch was enough to make him wince as Luca swivelled around instantly, holding his breath as he scanned the hill beneath them. Instantly he recognised a head missing amongst them. His heart began to beat faster, the rhythmic thumping filling his ears as he pieced the situation together, all the while fighting down his anxiety.

“Rue!?” He yelled, holding his hands up to his mouth in the hope that she’d hear him.

He exchanged a look of concern with her brother as only the ambient hum of the forest met them. “Rue!? Can you hear us?” Luca called once more. After a moment passed he grimaced finally as his hands clenched the fabric of his pockets. Rue wasn’t someone who ran off without reason, and had she gone of wandering, she certainly wouldn’t have failed to inform her only brother. Looking at the others, no one seemed to know where she’d gone either. Closing his eyes, Luca focused his mind and pictured the note they'd shared earlier, slowly forming the edges before visualising the messages on, any attribute specific to that note would help. As his image became clear he channelled Blue's magic into his body and attempted to teleport to her location.

Nothing. Luca opened his eyes again and exhaled deeply. Rue either didn't keep the paper on her or was already beyond one hundred metres. Damn that girl for causing him this much trouble.

“Rue’s brother right?” Luca asked finally, more as a statement than question, “Can your bond find Rue? I’ll lend you my assistance in finding her. I can’t track, but I am the fastest courier around,” he offered before facing the others, “The rest of you should keep on moving, but stick together. I’ll be able to rejoin the groups once we find her”

Still, he needed a way of teleporting back if things turned bad. Stick with the group Blue and keep laying paper notes, Luca ordered.

Erin Tyryl

"Another one here," Nemesis announced to him as the dire wolf kept his nose to the ground and stepped around yet another trap. Erin knew that it was impossible to miss every trap there was, so he too was trying to keep an eye out on the ground and had even called out a few that his bond had missed. Nemesis was slowly moving forwards, his nose twitching a million miles a minute as he sniffed out what he could. The wind was making it difficult, and the wolf told him so plenty of times.

"Look out here," Erin called pointing to the spot and stepping away from it. The wind was getting stronger, and the forest was growing darker. Nemesis' eyes were beginning to glow as he went from his day vision to his hereditary night vision. Behind him was the tall boy that Rue had been talking to, his bond was a creature the likes Erin had never seen before. If they weren't in the situation they were in, he would have asked the young man about the bond as he was highly interested in such a bond.

They were reaching the top of the hill, Nemesis lifted his nose off the ground and sniffed the air then which put Erin on edge. Behind them a sharp, shrill, screech pierced the air and both him and his bond whirled around. His gaze looked immediately for his sister, whose white hair he couldn't see in the growing gloom. The huge black dire wolf bolted passed him then just as the boy next to him shouted into the dark.

The call of his sisters name made his heart twist sickeningly. The boy and him looked at each other for a moment and Erin felt himself rooted to the spot even as his bond darted off into the darkness. Rue's friend closed his eyes and seemed to try to concentrate on doing something but after a few moments nothing happened and he looked more than a little disappointed at the results.

“Rue’s brother right? Can your bond find Rue? I’ll lend you my assistance in finding her. I can’t track, but I am the fastest courier around,” he offered before facing the others, “The rest of you should keep on moving, but stick together. I’ll be able to rejoin the groups once we find her.”

Erin nodded then and reached out to grasp the boys shoulder in reassurance, "Way ahead of ya, man. Nemesis can find her," he said his tone unwavering. What he didn't voice was his deep concern for what had happened to his sister. Was she hurt? Or worse... he didn't want to think about it. He turned to Suren then and took her hand in his, "Keep going, we'll catch up. Keep Kivuli on the look out for traps. Be careful!" He said, his gaze never leaving hers. Erin wasted no time then and started back down the hill sideways to keep his balance. In the gloom, he could barely make out the paw prints of his giant bond as the wolf had sprinted back down the hill.

"Here!" Nemesis called to him along with a loud barking to help Erin find where the wolf was. When he came into view of the black dire wolf, he knelt down and looked around. Nemesis had his nose to the ground as he sniffed the air.

"Come on, what happened?" Erin urged his bond.

The wolfs ears twitched this way and that, turning to catch the slightest sounds in the forest, sounds that Erin could never hear. His yellow glowing eyes made him look all the more dangerous. Nemesis didn't answer, only started towards the foliage of the trees next to them. Erin stood and waited knowing that his bond was going to find her. Moving into the trees, the sounds of sticks and branches cracking underfoot marked their advance forward. Part way through, the dire wolf lifted his head suddenly, snapping to attention. His ears came forward and he sniffed the air.

Erin witnessed a transformation that he'd only seen once in his life from his bond. The wolf lowered his head, eyes narrowing and growing a darker yellow, the ears pulled back and the hair all along his back stood. Another moment and the hair that stood soon had spikes shooting out from his back and the wolf seemed to grow larger. The sound of the change was sickening, making Erin grimace but watch in awe at his bond. A deep guttural growl issued from the back of Nemesis' throat and then he took off at a dead run, out distancing them in a matter of seconds.

His breath caught for a moment then he turned to Rue's friend, "Can you follow him with that courier service of yours?"

Rue Tyryl

"Where are you Snow? Are you hurt?"

"I'm alright, but your moving is making it hard for me to come to you. Stop making it hurt..." Snow whimpered.

"I'm sorry, but I can't just wait here, it's getting too dark! I have to cut loose from this," Rue replied and curled upwards again trying to reach with the knife to the vine that held her to the tree. The wound was burning with each upwards push she gave to reach the vine. She'd managed to nick the cursed trap a couple of times, but the twisted rope was strong and held fast. Panting she fell back again on her back, the knife having barely scratched it once more. Anger coursed through her and she pulled and kicked with her leg trying to make the rope snap by sheer force.

"Damnit!" she cried out loud. The darkness was making her nervous and she felt the sickening feeling of fear starting to work its way into her chest. She took a deep breath to try to steady herself and get back to work at being freed so she could get back with Luca and the others. At the thought of Luca, she felt her chest clench. Had they even noticed she was gone? The fear became icy cold and she had to struggle to keep from freezing up entirely.

A sharp sound in the darkness caught her attention and did nothing to stem her growing nerves. Burnt orange eyes glowed in the darkness as something came out of the brush towards her. The twigs that that thing stepped on cracked as it lowered its head and approached her with a growl. Had the giant wolf not looked so menacing and evil she would have thought it to be Nemesis right away. Her heart slammed in her chest.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me," her voice trembled, "Traps and over grown creatures! What is this? Boot camp!"

From the other side of the forest from where she had been dragged, a sharp growling bark echoed and from the gloom a sleek black figure broke from the bushes and crashed head long into the other wolf that was nearly twice its size. Rue realized it was Nemesis and her heart lifted, but she was now fearful for the bond and her brother.

"Erin!" she screamed as loud as she could hopeful that he could hear her.

Luca M. Feygor

Luca and Erin teleported in just before Nemesis closed the distance between them and the giant wolf, swapping positions with the note stuck to the bond’s neck. Luca was immediately alerted by the inhuman eyes and the dark frame which glowed in front of them, still twice the size of the transformed Nemesis. Luca’s senses kicked into overdrive instantly, his muscles tightening like a coil as he reached for his knife. The slightest movement would cause Luca’s body to lurch as his eyes affixed on his prey, taking aim on vital organs and critical muscle. As he stared he was acutely aware that running here would initiate the wild wolf’s predatory instincts.

“We need to check on Rue first,” Luca hissed, assessing the situation critically.

"Erin!"

The cry struck them both and Luca glanced in the direction of the source. The sight of purple hair took him by surprise as he recognised the soft features of Hayley Highmoore besides Rue. Hayley’s bond leapt past them all then as he charged at the wild wolf and Luca forced himself to stay in place, his muscles tightening even further. The fierce growls of their struggles filled the air as a desperate two versus one between beasts ensued.

“I can get them back to the group the fastest.” Luca passed Erin a note before a smirk tugged at his cheeks, “So do try your best not to die too fast friend.”

Luca ran towards both girls at a blistering pace, his eyes quickly spotting the bright red which stain Rue’s perfectly white figure.

“What did I say about girl’s travelling alone?” He chided them. One could never be sure if he was genuinely concerned or not. Sweat was running down his cheeks from all of the running and his breath was shorter than usual. Without further notice he tapped them both and they instantly appeared alongside the main group once more. Luca’s stomach lurched with the teleport but he fought down the growing sickness.

“Someone treat both their injuries” He requested with haste.

That look…, Blue’s warning echoed inside of his head.

Ignoring his bond, Luca disappeared and reappeared again besides Erin, wiping his brow with the sleeve of his shirt as he did so. “Three beings at once would be pushing my abilities, but if we can draw close to each other i should be able to manage”

Rue Tyryl

Luca came sliding to a stop next to her and the girl with purple hair who introduced herself as Hayley and Rue realized it was the girl her brother used to have a crush on. She asked if Rue was alright to which only a nod was the answer. She didn't have her voice in the presence of a stranger, but when Luca arrived, her eyes widened and her heart seemed to lighten. Her breath wooshed out of her lungs as if she'd been holding it that entire time.

A bright blush filled her cheeks as Luca commented on the girls being alone. "Luca," she managed to whisper as he reached out and tapped their shoulders. She wasn't prepared for the shift of scenery and when she finally removed her eyes from his form, she realized they were no longer in the forest. Her heart raced as she looked back to him sharply, "Luca!" she cried, her voice louder than usual, but her shout fell on deaf ears as he ordered for the group to treat their wounds and he disappeared.

Looking around she spotted the demon bond that was his. Desperately she tried to remember the bonds name as she caught sight of the sickly frame wrapped in blue cloth. Then it hit her, the name was simple, "Blue!" she yelled and forced herself to her feet, ignoring the burn of the deep cut along her side. Next to her, the girl named Hayley had gotten up and started back down the hill. She was at a loss at what to do. Stop Hayley from going, or get Blue's help about Luca. She didn't like the look in his eyes as he'd teleported away, something was different about him and she was fearful for some strange reason, more so than usual.

"Blue! Please, help Luca!" She shouted to the demon bond, her voice having a pleading edge to it, then turned and went down the hill to stop Hayley from rushing headlong into a dangerous situation.

Erin Tyryl

His surroundings swirled, twisting and contorting and making him dizzy almost. However, the feeling didn't last long and he found himself in another part of the forest with a huge wolf twice the size of Nemesis. To which, his bond had barreled right into. Erin gave a soft groan from the impact his bond created. It didn't hurt persay, Erin just wasn't ready for it. His sisters' voice screamed out his name which took his attention immediately as did her friends.

Her friend looked to him after speaking aloud about assessing Rue's condition and handed him a note, “I can get them back to the group the fastest. So do try your best not to die too fast friend.” Erin's lips pulled to a grin to match the other boys and he gave a light chuckle and a short nod as he folded the piece of paper and shoved it in his pocket. As if he'd let an overgrown fur ball kick his ass. Turning his head back to the fight, he was well aware of the young man sprinting to his sister and taking care of her. They vanished out of the forest a moment later.

Erin narrowed his eyes, his body falling into a fighting position. Having already pulled the survival knife from his pack a long time ago, he unsheathed it from his belt and prepared to assist his bond in the fight. Nemesis twisted around as he was thrown off to the side and Erin winced slightly at the impact and the feel of overly large teeth around his dire wolf's neck. The black wolf got himself free from the nearly deadly headlock and snapped his jaw tightly around the larger wolfs meaty shoulder. Erin shoved off the ground and sprinted for the beast as it turned its head to bite Nemesis.

"This 'fur ball' is a pain in the ass, be careful Erin!" Nemesis warned as he noted his human bond rushing in for an attack. Having been much better at archery than at any sword play, Erin was using his own brute strength in order to give the beast a nasty cut along it's shoulder and back. He'd tried to go for the neck but the damned thing had seen him coming and sidestepped. Immediately he backed off just as Nemesis let go of the wolf's other shoulder.

Next to him the young man reappeared again, though with a look to his face, Erin was sure he was feeling the effects of using his bonds powers too much. Nemesis let out a challenging bark mixed with a menacing growl that even sent a shiver down Erin's spine. His dire wolf meant business and he'd only ever seen the black wolf like this once before. He'd hoped never to see it again, but when it came to Erin and his sister, Nemesis was not one to be provoked.

“Three beings at once would be pushing my abilities, but if we can draw close to each other i should be able to manage”

Erin glanced to the boy before turning back to the fight between the three creatures, the third one looked like a wolf as well, but it was fighting the larger, evil, dire wolf. He couldn't place the bond, but he'd thought he'd seen it before. "Whatever it is you're planning, just don't get yourself killed, man. Don't know what I'd tell my sister," he replied with a slight grin.

"Lock him down, Nemesis," Erin ordered and began pulling his bonds power into him. He'd never really done it before but it came naturally, albiet a bit odd if anything. His body seemed faster, lighter and stronger. Oh to be a wolf...

"I'm amazing I know, now will you concentrate you useless human," Nemesis retorted and lunged at the larger wolf, his jaws wide opened and his spikes arching forward to protect his back. He locked onto the creatures neck, dragging him down. A loud popping sound filled the air as Nemesis locked his jaw in place and refused to move, growling as he pushed the creature down on the ground. Erin lunged forward, his speed increased by his bond's power. Getting up on the back of the thing, he drove the knife into its shoulder, the only soft spot he could find passed the thick bony spikes along its back.

"Now would be nice, friend!" Erin yelled at the boy as he could feel the creature slowly working its way out of Nemesis' jaws.

Blue Horror
“Blue!”

Blue horror shuffled around slowly, almost as if he’d hadn’t heard her at first. As its hooded face turned towards Rue, studying her with a hidden expression, it listened it to her request impassively.

"Blue! Please, help Luca!"

It paused, musing almost as it watched her move off to stop Hayley. The demon made no motion at first to indicate its intentions, but with a slow step it strode towards Rue and restrained her with a bony arm, its blue fingers contrasting starkly with the white fabric of Rue’s clothes.

“I’m helping him by remaining here,” Blue’s unnatural voice almost drowned out the wind this time, undercutting the gravity of the situation. It was almost frightening how calm he was, as if nothing in this world concerned him. “Even this much help is more kindness than he deserves.”

It hovered past her towards Hayley then and helped the girl up as she stumbled over a rock. “It would be best to remain here, to prevent the situation from becoming worse.” He informed the distraught student.

Luca M. Feygor
"Whatever it is you're planning, just don't get yourself killed, man. Don't know what I'd tell my sister," Erin smirked.

“This was exactly the picturesque type of scenery I hoped for when I transferred to this school,” Luca chuckled himself, a sarcastic grumble which filtered out his fears. Spotting the bleeding wounds across the larger wolf’s shoulder and back, he tipped his chin in respect towards Erin and his bond, impressed by their abilities.

“And I don’t really have a plan either…” he frowned.

His eyes followed the increasingly erratic movements of Hayley’s bond, his thoughts racing as he realised the other bond lacked control without his partner. Wondering how he’d persuade the bond to join them, Luca twitched in surprise as the bond lunged at the wolf Nemesis and Erin were holding down, following Hayley’s final orders to the letter. There and then, Luca decided loyalty still had its uses after all.

"Now would be nice, friend!"

Luca grinned and launched himself ahead, his speed quickly closing the distance. He reached out both hands to grab onto the closest two, Erin and Nemesis, and carried his right fist forwards so that it made contact with Hayley’s bond. The moment he felt physical contact he channelled Blue's magic again, teleporting them back to the group and replacing Blue Horror behind Hayley.

"Repeated use really does drain my energy faster," Luca sat back finally, panting with exhaustion.

And in the event your reserves are consumed, you can always just swap positions with me freely. Blue's mental voice was seething with anger as it disabled the wolf's senses and fled into the shadows.

Not that i've tried it before. Luca breathed.

You owe me one boy.

Chills coursed over her skin unbiddingly as the demon took hold of her arm in his skeletal hand. She tossed her head to the side to look up at him, throwing her white hair over her shoulder. Her heart froze in place for a moment, a deeper chill seemingly freezing her blood at the bonds words.

“I’m helping him by remaining here, even this much help is more kindness than he deserves.”

She didn't have time to further question the demon bond as he moved away from her and pulled Hayley back as well. She watched in shocked silence as Blue stood there impassively. Her heart lumped in her throat. What did he mean by that? How was it 'more kindness than he deserved'? It didn't make any sense to her. Luca was kind to her, sincere with her, why would it be any different with anyone else?

Blue disappeared then and in his place Luca appeared along with her brother, Nemesis and Hayley's bond. He looked utterly tired, his face paler than usual and his beautiful blue eyes reflected his weariness clearly. She didn't hesitate and rushed towards him, dropping down in front of him, her eyes wide with concern, fear and worry before turning straight to anger as her lips pressed together and she narrowed her eyes at him.

First she started with a worried cry, "Luca!" then she continued on in one full turn to anger, "You scared me! Don't do that," she sighed heavily and leaned back away from him. Only then did she wince and remembered the deep cut. Her fingers went instinctively to it and pressed down. Her shirt was soaked with blood and she felt tired. In the next instant, her heart raced again and she turned to her brother.

"Erin! Snow!"

Erin Tyryl

Once more the world swirled around him and he was back with the group. Rue's friend dropped down and panted as he spoke aloud. Erin nodded in agreement as he let go of Nemesis' added strength and in doing so found himself kneeling on all fours on the dirt path trying to keep the world from spinning before his eyes. He groaned slightly from the loss of extra abilities.

"Man... I've only done that once before. Forgot how much it sucks afterwards," he tried to laugh but only managed to make his swimming head worsen. Another groan echoed passed his lips and he pressed his hand to his forehead. Next to him Nemesis brushed his huge body against him, trying to be of some comfort even though the bond teased him while doing so.

"You can't handle my awesomeness, we know. It's okay, useless human."

"Yeah whatever you lazy bag of fur. I'll kick your ass you know."

Nemesis gave a laugh that sounded like a coughing bark. His fur was back to normal now and his yellow eyes were bright as they were before the fight. Erin draped his arm over the dire wolfs neck and allowed the bond to pull up into a sitting position. He leaned heavily on the wolf, waiting for his own normal strength to return. Next to him he watched as Rue dropped next to the boy, her voice calling his name in pure concern, then in the next instant she was pissed off at him and telling him off. He rolled his eyes, it was just like his sister, easily switching between emotions.

"Leave him alone, Rue. The guys tired, jeez," he told her, but she didn't seem to be listening as she suddenly whirled on him and his eyes widened slightly as he half expected her to yell at him too. A slight squeak escaped his throat before he could contain it and Nemesis gave another, softer, laugh in response.

"Erin! Snow!"

Her voice was filled with fear and it hit home that they hadn't seen the white phoenix since rescuing his sister. A sharp twinge of fear caught him and he stood immediately. Erin stumbled slightly, but managed to keep his footing.

"I'll get her, don't worry. Stay here with Luca."

He looked down to Nemesis and the dire wolf got to his feet quickly and took off back down the hill, this time in search of the white phoenix instead. Should be easier this round...

Amalthea Oprah

Some people came but Amalthea had already gotten the boy out of the ditch and Cerberus had come out as well. Amalthea lied back on her hands and took a deep breath then saw the two Bonds of the boy sitting next to him. She was a Misfit with a Blueblood type of Bond so she wasn't amazed for very long to see a person with two Bonds.

"Um, thanks, I guess... Name's Samuel Yesil."

"I'm Amalthea Oprah, but the one you should really thank is Cerberus," Amalthea said.

Everyone started walking out into the forest so she got onto her feet and held a hand out to Samuel to help him up. She started walking next to Cerberus who sniffed the air and alerted once there was a near by trap, Ama was so afraid and started realizing that she had a certain fear of darkness because she wouldn't let go of Cerberus' pelt.

Aslan Portegar

A whole commotion started when a girl cried out for help. He recognized her as Amalthea, the loud mouthed Misfit that never seemed to know her place. Aslan didn't want to follow everyone else until he saw Aubrey descend on Bren's back. Her presence made him feel more assured that everything would be okay and it made him more concerned about everything going on so he decided to go see what was going on when Amalthea called out.

Amalthea was able to get the boy out of the ditch without a problem thanks to her large Bond which Aslan had never understood why she had such a majestic Bond. After the save, everyone started walking out into the woods and spotting traps. Aslan just followed behind but stayed close to Aubrey. Babur ran ahead staying with Bren and sometimes would find a trap.

"Are you alright?" Aslan asked Aubrey in between the shouting calls of people warning there was a trap.

He walked with his arms crossed over his chest and his head high with his eyes always on the alert for whatever could come out because he knew that the traps weren't the most dangerous part of capturing the flag. A rustle in the bushes was what caught Alsan's attention and also Babur's who immediately halted his playing with flowers or insects. There was something so Aslan took his knife out of the bag and held firmly next to his thigh ready to counter attack if needed.

A huge creature that he recognized as a Behemoth came out and started snapping it's teeth at everyone. Aslan never imagined that they would be forced to face a Behemoth so soon. Berach was being too harsh.

"Get together!" He called out, "He likes to take down the one separated from the group!"

Luca M. Feygor

Luca was startled by a glowing white figure that shifted into his sights the second they returned. If not for the red stain across her waist, he may well have mistaken Rue for an angel as she plopped her supple figure down in front of him, her fierce green eyes enchanting his own and drawing them to her face. Unlike his, they showed none of the exhaustion he felt, despite all the trails she’d endured. Watching her, Rue’s expressions were a blur to him, too fast for his weary eyes to analyse as he blinked at her in some half-daze.

"Luca!" Rue’s sharp tone was enough to make him cringe like the sudden alarm of his morning call, "You scared me! Don't do that," She sighed finally, as if releasing all of her fears in one go.

Luca could only listen and shake his head in reply, feeling spoilt by her concern. A small grin formed over the corner of his lips as he scoffed in amazement at her bustling energy, its origins a mystery to him much like her thoughts then. That quiet shell she’d developed earlier seemed all but forgotten now too. Of course their troubles weren’t entirely concluded yet.

I scared you?” Luca managed at last, glancing at the backs of the Nemesis and Erin as they departed. He gave Rue a look of pure incredulity then, arching an eyebrow at her as his carefully constructed facade began to re-establish itself. “Maybe next time you’ll reconsider hunting giant wolves for sport then?”

His eyes fell on the red stain of her dress, keenly aware of the danger it presented. Luca had experienced countless scuffles in the past, so it went without saying he knew what to anticipate next. Without further notice, Luca picked himself up of the ground and gazed sternly down at Rue. “Now, if you’ve quite satisfied your curiosity for stepping into traps today, we need to tend to your wound and bandage it to stop the bleeding. You’ll have to remove your shirt so I can clean it,” He paused then and glanced around briefly as if he’d remembered something, “Hayley looked injured also so we’ll have to check up on her.”

Abruptly, Luca’s head snapped up as he heard something ominous over the raging storm. The foreboding crack of splintering wood and crashing trees was followed by the desperate twittering of birds as flocks of the creatures fled from their disrupted nests. Slowly, the monstrous creature lumbered into view, its impossible size seemingly blotting out the sun behind it as its bestial gaze regarded them with a ravenous hunger.

“Get together! He likes to take down the one separated from the group!" Aslan yelled.

Luca cursed and swivelled on his feet instantly, they didn't have time to feel tired now. He wrapped his arms around Rue’s tender frame, careful to avoid her wounds as he lifted her off the floor. “You know, when i said i'd help you earlier, this isn't exactly what i had in mind," he teased.

Hayley limped holding onto James as the group moved. James' shoulder was hurt by the slash that smaller wolf had given him and that meant hayley recieved the same blow. except because of its massive size she had a big gash from behind her neck over her left shoulder and reached down to her stomach. She was loosing blood but couldn't stop moving, she had to keep up with everyone. James basically carried her and kept her upright the whole time until a sudden cry of warning rang out and a massive creature started growling at them. Hayley was slightly behind everyone by only about 2 yards but that was enough to have her and james singled out.

The Behemoth pushed James away causing Hayley to fall onto the ground in front of the beast. The behemoth looked at james then her then the others and opened its mouth to take a bite out of her, when suddenly James lunged and tackled the Behemoth away from the group. She screamed scared and to hurt to move anymore. She could feel the wound slowly but slowly heal itself but it was James who had the rapid healing abilities hayley only had a tiny bit. And the healing powers sure weren't working fast enough to help her since James kept getting hurt.

Hayley screamed in pain and called out, "Someone help James! Please!" She started crying frightened and then felt a small cut on her neck realizing she'd been digging her nails into her neck as she was curled up on the ground covering her head.

Sammy

Sammy watched in awe as the giant beast thundered towards them. His bonds were visibly scared; Dodge in particular knew that this wouldn't be pretty. God dammit, all my bonds are good for are telling me when to run... But, although Sammy was just as scared as his bonds, he couldn't show it. His overblown pride wouldn't let him be scared. "Heh, big ol' bastard ain't it..." With saying that, he followed Aslan's instructions and went with the rest, when he heard a blood-chilling scream. A very familiar scream. He turned to see a wounded Haley curled in a defensive feeble position, while her bond was feebly wrestling with the monstrosity.

The next thing Sammy knew, he was doing something idiotic. Running away from the safety of the group, he quickly scooped up a few fairly sized stones and started to pointlessly fling them at the Behemoth. The hell am I doing... He knew this was stupid, but there's some things a man must do even when the odds are completely and utterly stacked against you, and Sammy wasn't planning on becoming a hypocrite anytime soon. "Hey you fat bastard! You damn coward! Fighting the outlier!" Unfortunately, his taunts had no visible effect. Shit, now what do I- At that moment, he caught a red blur at the corner of his eyes. He looked up at the monster and saw Dodge standing on top of the beast's gargantuan head. Dodge then quickly made it to the monsters face, and jammed his paw into the creature's eye. Although the damage was minimal, it was enough to cause the Behemoth to stagger back away from James. "Yes! Atta boy!" But just as Sammy said that, the Behemoth swung his arm over his face and smashed Dodge down onto the ground near Sammy. Sammy, all at once, felt the bone-crushing power of the monster's punch and fell backwards near a tree. "Well, *cough*, that's a start..."

Aubrey and Bren moved closer to the group as it set off, her face starting to set grimly. Just in time they'd reached the others, she noticed, as the sky darkened and wind whipped at them, making her pull her sleeves down over her knuckles and stiffen her shoulders.

"Are you alright?" Alsan asked, trudging along beside her. She forced a tight-lipped smile.

"Yes. Except that Bren can't fly in this weather," she said, gazing warily above them "and I don't know where the hell we are or how to find the flag. It's not going to be easy at all, is it?" she asked, a bit worried. She'd barely gotten the words out when a scream wound it's way to her ears and a few of the boys flew into action, and Aubrey noticed one of the girls, the one who's Phoenix bond had led her to the group, was missing. Her stomach fluttered as she looked around, people running off into the woods. She felt Bren watching her, but neither of them knew what to do, and then it seemed there was popping back and forth, and they were back and hurt. Aubrey shrunk back a bit, unsure of how to help the wounded girls.

No time to worry about them, though, because with a great crashing, a towering monster of a thing came out from the trees and Aubrey's breath caught in her throat as she instinctively reached out for Bren who'd already reached her side.

“Get together! He likes to take down the one separated from the group!"

Aubrey clenched her jaw and clenched her eyes tight for a moment as her stomach tossed at it's roar, and then her eyes widened in fear for the students that had separated and were futily trying to fight the Bohemith. Aubrey stuck by Aslan's side. He seemed to know what to do, so far...

"Aslan, what can we do?" she called over the wind and roaring, trying to keep her voice from lowing to a scared whisper. She hated to cry for such help, but she'd never been trained for this sort of thing and people were being hurt. How were they ever supposed to get through these woods if traps and monsters were everywhere? At her other side, Bren cawed angrily at the bohemith, itching to move.

Rue Tyryl

Her eyes widened slightly as he turned to her and arched an eyebrow and retorted a response to her earlier statement, “I scared you? Maybe next time you’ll reconsider hunting giant wolves for sport then?” To this she held her breath, unsure if he was being serious or not. However, the tone was slightly off and what he'd said made no sense at all. It was only after a few moments of thinking that she realized he was making fun of her... again. Her cheeks flooded with heat, warming slightly and she fought to keep the blushing to a minimum.

“Now, if you’ve quite satisfied your curiosity for stepping into traps today, we need to tend to your wound and bandage it to stop the bleeding. You’ll have to remove your shirt so I can clean it, Hayley looked injured also so we’ll have to check up on her.”

Rue didn't hear the last part to that statement as her heart jumped to her throat and all attempts to keep her face from turning a brighter red faded away. Her eyes were wide as she stared at him, unable to speak after his announcement of her having to remove her shirt. Was he mad? Did he really think that she was just going to take off her top in front of everyone so that he could see to her little cut? Well... the cut was far from little and it was fairly long... but still! Her heart hammered in her chest as she stared at him in disbelief.

"You... want me... to... what?" She managed to say, but her words fell on deaf ears as a loud crashing flooded the area. From the woods a huge creature stormed upon the group of students. She jumped slightly, but otherwise stayed in one spot. At least, until Aslan yelled out for the group to get together and in the next instant she felt herself crushed against Luca's warm (and rather well toned) body. Her heart sped faster as her hands were pressed up against his chest and the rest of her held tightly as he rushed to join up with everyone. Warm... so warm...I'm so tiny compared to him...and he's very... her cheeks hurt from the burning of her embarrassment. Rue shook her head and tried to think of something other than his body.

“You know, when i said i'd help you earlier, this isn't exactly what i had in mind," he told her as he held her. He was obviously teasing her again, but she didn't realize it until a moment after.

"I can help myself," she retorted, but when she actually lifted her eyes to look at him, realization hit. If it were at all possible to turn a deeper shade of red, Rue did it, "Oh... oh," was all she managed to get out and turned away fighting once again her thoughts of how warm and strong he was.

Erin Tyryl

"There you are Snow, come on. Gonna take you back to everyone," Erin said as he found the phoenix in the bushes unable to take flight and therefore unable to get anywhere. She looked in good shape, nothing broken or anything like that. Though, he was sure Snow was feeling Rue's pain from her deep cut. Gently cradling the bird in his arms, he started back up the hill with Nemesis right behind him.

It didn't take long to get back and as he did a huge behemoth erupted from the forest and attacked. Erin's heart thrummed as he felt a kick of adrenaline. Nemesis underwent his change and took off like a bullet right at the beast. Meanwhile, Erin tried to find a place to put Snow so she wasn't in the way of anything and at the same time tried to find a way back to the group. His sharp eyes took in the situation quickly, marking out his next move as quickly as possible. He put Snow on the edge of the woods as close to the group as he could get her and gave her a push to get her started towards the others.

Turning he watched as Samuel's bond, the hound, rush up the creatures back and attack it's face. On the ground Hayley was curled in a ball and her bond was fighting as well. Erin sprinted to Hayley and pulled her out of the immediate fighting zone, all the while half of his attention was with his bond.

"Nemesis! Take him down!" He ordered, his voice a little deeper as he shouted the command over the driving wind. Leaning down he looked at Hayley, trying to assess if she was alright.

"Stay here, alright? I'll get Samuel to stay with you, try not to move."

Erin took off then and sprinted for the other boy who was slumping on the ground from having his bond thrown. As he knelt down next to Samuel, he felt the air thrust out of his lungs and he doubled over, his eyes looking to the side to catch the ending part of the hit that Nemesis had taken. The wolf bounced off the ground at an awkward angle and rolled. Erin coughed as he struggled to get air back into him. Nemesis hopped back up to his feet and rushed the creature again, narrowly missing another swing of the brutes large arms.

"Take him!" Erin shouted then turned to Samuel as he held one arm around his chest to ease the burn from the last hit, "Can you stay with Hayley? Keep her out of danger."

Without waiting for an answer, he got to his feet and went to assist his bond, lending the dire wolf his own strength and agility to add to the wolfs nimble form. Nemesis danced around the beasts legs, tearing and cutting into it's calves, trying to bring the creature to the ground. If he could level the playing field, destroying the thing was going to be much easier. Keeping out of reach was difficult though as the fight drew on and Erin knew they were going to need help from the other fighting bonds. Otherwise, it was going to end very badly.

Aslan Portegar

Aslan kept Aubrey behind him as well as most of the people. But there was one person who hadn't made it to the group, a purple haired girl and her Bond who was being attacked by the Behemoth. Before Aslan could react Samuel went in to try and save her but he just made things a bit tougher for everyone.
"Babur!" Aslan called out to his Bond who immediately responded by pouncing onto the creature that was twice his size.

Aslan had read stories of the Behemoth creature, a powerful earth entity that used to serve gods. He looked over his shoulder to observe the group there were only a few that seemed to be able to have some actual fighting power and there was one that didn't even have a Bond (Luca).
Aslan's attention then turned to a boy that had appeared out of the forest his dire wolf Bond was fast and efficient so it gave him enough time to get to the purple haired girl and Samuel. Babur was still attacking the creature along with the dire wolf then Aslan sheathed his knife and turned to the group.

"Suren! We're going to need your Bond's fire power," Aslan said, "Amalthea, your Cerberus can withstand fire and he's the biggest bond here so he's going to hold down the Behemoth as Suren's Bond burns it. If anything goes wrong, we all fight!"

Aslan waited for their agreement while he called the boy (Erin) back, "Come back! We've got a plan!"

Amalthea Oprah

She was scared out of her pants, her legs shook like leaves in a tempest and her head seemed to be spinning. The monster was enormous and she was so small. The only creature that could almost equal the Behemoth in size was Cerberus but he didn't jump in to fight right away. He wasn't afraid but he knew that Amalthea was so he stayed by her side like he always would. It was annoying and yet very good for Ama to have Cerberus be such a childish Bond when situations are simple but become extremely mature when things get tough.

When She saw Samuel jump in to save the girl and her Bond she suddenly felt a spark inside of her light a fiery flame telling her to suck in her strength and mope later. She got onto her feet and let go of Cerberus' fur. She knew that she had to be strong and not be the little girl crying and getting in everyone's way so she looked at Aslan and nodded when he told her to let Cerberus go and fight.
"You be careful," she said to her Bond.

You too.

The only thing they had to wait for was for Erin to come back with Samuel and Hayley.

Luca M. Feygor

As he picked her up and ran, he felt both her discomfort and warmth. Her voice of protest was just loud enough for him to catch over the cacophony of chaos, "I can help myself, Oh... oh," Rue’s silky voice trailed off softly as she finally relented.

“Hey, at least support some of your own weight, carrying you is tough,” he remarked even though she was as light as a feather.

Despite the imminent danger, Rue’s innocent attempts to hide her emotions still managed to bend his lips into a genuine smile of amusement. The shades of red on her face where getting brighter by the second as he carried her between his arms, making her look as if she’d turn into a tomato at any moment. She clearly found the idea of him carrying her embarrassing but he allowed himself to relish the fact. That should at least keep her awake for the time being, Luca thought as his eyes flashed back to her wound and risk of blood loss.

He set her down gently as they reached the far side of the conflict, releasing his supportive grip from underneath her knees and neck. “Look, try to stay still to prevent the bleeding,” Luca informed her as he took of his neck tie. Quickly, his hands wrapped the fabric around her wound before tying it all together firmly.

Luca straightened slightly, feeling uneasy in the face of the behemoth. He watched as Erin returned with Nemesis and the two leapt in without hesitation, attacking at the things tendons. The behemoth was too large to outrun, especially now they had injured. Luca felt like an ant next to the monster as it brought its fist crashing downwards, chasing after the black blur that was Nemesis and shattering the earth with the force of each impact.

"Suren! We're going to need your Bond's fire power, Amalthea, your Cerberus can withstand fire and he's the biggest bond here so he's going to hold down the Behemoth as Suren's Bond burns it. If anything goes wrong, we all fight!"

“Hold on Aslan. Look around us,” Luca said as a figure of speech, “I hope you have a plan to control that fire, or this forest is going up like a tinderbox”

Rue Tyryl

She knew he was enjoying her discomfort, something that happened often around him especially when he did it on purpose so she tried her best to keep it to a minimum, which didn't help with how close he was. Finally he set her down and took off his tie while instructing her to keep still. She'd all but forgotten about the wound the moment he'd lifted her into his arms. Rue was sure all the blood had rushed to her face and was the only thing keeping her from passing out. As he tied it around her waist, she winced slightly at the pressure and a slow, dull ache took over. She wasn't sure what was worse, his having her right in his arms and not feeling a damn thing wound wise, or having the tie around her to keep her from bleeding out and feeling the pain.

Luca stood and turned to face the gigantic creature that had decided to take its cue and attack them. Rue's eyes blurred slightly as she looked to the beast, her body was starting to feel the toll of the deep cut. With her face returning to its smooth white color, she felt a little dizzy, but didn't let it show. Snow bounced up to her then, having been rescued by her brother who was now fighting the beast. Rue watched with bated breath, her heart skipping a beat as she witnessed Nemesis thrown and Erin double over from the impact. Her brother dropped to his knees and glared up at the creature as the dire wolf quickly got back up and rushed in again. Even from where she sat she could hear his deep voice yelling orders at Nemesis.

"Left! Drop down... Now, Nemesis!"

The wolf was nothing but a blur as he followed every command that Erin shouted out. She knew what they were doing, her brother was watching where Nemesis could go and directing him as such so the creature was at a loss on where to attack. In blind rage the thing had begun swinging wildly around at the wolf as he nimbly dodged. Only a few times did the behemoth catch the black streak of fur and manage to toss it. It was those times that had Rue cringing as her eyes flicked back to her brother who reflected each hit.

Aslan shouted out orders then too, calling for Suren's bond to attack with fire. Rue's eyes shifted to Luca as he responded to that order almost immediately. The forest was a tinderbox, Rue could tell by all the dry leaves and sticks lying around. Then her eyes settled on Snow who lifted her head and looked back at Rue. Turning, she tried to get Luca's attention but moving around made her head swim and she felt weaker by the second. Damnit all, why now?

"Luca," she called, not sure if she was loud enough. Rue got herself up halfway before falling backwards, the forest and everyone around her going white for a few moments and the noises dimming down to nearly nothing at all. She didn't even realize she'd collapsed completely on the ground until Snow's face was right next to her. Blinking she managed to pull herself out of the danger zone and took a shallow breath. Tired....

"Don't sleep. You can't sleep."

"Tired, Snow," she managed to reply, her earlier thoughts nearly gone. It was hard to concentrate. Why had she wanted Luca's attention in the first place?

"Something about me and the fire, I couldn't quite understand either. Does that help?" Snow asked gently as she brushed her face across Rue's.

"Yes... the fire. Luca," she called again not sure if he was anywhere near as her concentration was slipping, "Snow. Snow can do it."

Her eyes felt heavy, and a chill shook her as she lay there. The dull pounding pain was probably the only thing keeping her attention, but even that was fading. She took another breath and tried to keep her eyes opened, "Tired... it's cold, Luca," she said.

"Stay awake, Rue," Snow pressed, flapping her wings in agitation.

"Luca..."

"Luca,"

Rue’s voice was stretched thin as it she called out to him. Head spinning, Luca peeled his eyes away from the behemoth, bending down to face Rue once more. To his relief Snow had returned again, the bond drawing close to Rue and seemingly caressing her cheeks with its wings. Although she was deathly pale, Luca could read alarm as Rue struggled to remember something vital.

“What is it Rue?” Luca responded hastily, concern dressing his features. How much blood had she lost? Not much time had passed but the wound had been left open for a while now, it was impossible to say.

"Yes... the fire. Luca, Snow. Snow can do it." Rue mumbled, her concentration evidently waning as her head lolled. Luca’s eyes narrowed in the direction of the feathered bond, uncertain about her idea. "Tired... it's cold, Luca,"

Luca could feel desperation hang in the air, a cold staleness which lingered over every student, the trademark prelude to panic. “Let me wake her up Snow.” Abruptly, he grabbed Rue's head in an attempt to focus her attention, clicking his fingers in front of her dazed eyes. "Explain yourself first Rue! Wake up!"

"Luca..."

“Damn,” Luca murmured. His pragmatic reasoning took over in an attempt to determine which method would be most effective in waking her, “It’s not going to count for anything if you fall asleep on me.” He leaned in close, admiring her full lips for a moment before locking his onto hers. Wake up. He willed.

Luca... the fire... Snow can... she can help... Luca, the thoughts were hardly connected as she struggled to get the words from her mouth. The world was dark and icy cold. She felt herself shivering and tried to find something to warm up with. In the recesses of her conscious, she could still feel Snow, a kind of urgency lightly tugging at her foggy mind.

"Rue!"

Her name was being called over and over. Rue tried to answer the worried cry, but it was hard to get the connection just right. The cold was getting deeper and she was trying to huddle closer to get warm, but it didn't seem to work. Then, out of nowhere, she felt a spark of heat. She reached for it, trying to bring it closer to get warmer. The warmth spread and she felt better, the fog was being washed away slowly. Cool air filled her nose and rushed down to her lungs as feeling slowly came back.

Something warm and soft was pressed against her mouth and she felt heat all against her side. Unconsciously she'd curled next to that heat, her fingers tangled in soft cloth as she clung to it trying to bring it closer. Opening her eyes groggily she looked at the blurry figure that was bent over her, dark hair brushed over her face as she lay there. It took her a moment, but she realized it was Luca who was holding her, and that it was Luca who she was clinging too. In an instant her heart sped up once again as she could feel the muscle under the shirt, the heavy warmth of his presence and finally the reason why he was so close to her.

Breath sucked into her lungs with a slight squeak, her eyes widening in shock and embarrassment. Her body locked up as she was held there, unable to think of what to do. Is he... did he just... oh hell... he did!

"So it is true... you can wake a sleeping beauty with a kiss," Snow teased thought the worry in her voice was very clear.

Rue made a sound like she was trying to yell at Snow for being mean, but with Luca's lips over hers she couldn't do much but squeak again. Finally she managed to pull away from him and take a deep breath of air.

"Luca!" she exclaimed breathlessly.

"Oh kiss him again, come on! It'll keep you awake for one... you're not out of the woods yet you know," Snow pressed, bouncing around next to them.

Feeling her hand tug at his shirt, Luca felt bewildered as he was drawn in abruptly. He'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoyed the sensation of her supple lips, but Rue's reaction afterwards was the real icing on the cake. Rue’s body seized up as her widening eyes met his, her consciousness swimming awake suddenly as the realisation hit her like a volt of electricity. For the moment he savoured the proximity of her sweet scent, finding delight in her every squeak as she struggled vainly in surprise.

"Luca!” She cried as he finally allowed Rue to pull away from him. The color had magically returned to her cheeks as she fought to recover both her breath and composure. She looked up at him in distress, but nonetheless awake.

Luca grinned teasingly at her to diffuse the mood as he leaned back. Like ever, his eyes danced with amusement at Rue’s expression of sheer embarrassment, even in this situation. Before she could speak further he pressed a finger over her lips.

“My sincerest apologies if i wasn’t to your liking. I promise later I’ll let you do whatever you want with me in return,” Luca began before casting a serious face at the behemoth, “But, first we need to deal with the situation at hand.” He paused to let the words sink in before slowly removing his finger. Nervously, his eyes glanced at the wound again, wondering how long he could sustain her attention this time.

“You mentioned Snow could do something about the fire. Can you still help?” Luca said next, encouraging her thoughts.
