Sounds ok, although you may need to add a little on the weaknesses as at the moment they seem pretty strong. Also, how would they carry their weapon once they have shifted?

Green light! :) Though please note that my character is more likely to call them shapeshifters than Daken, simply because that's what she's known all her life. Hope that's ok?

I clearly stated they are often called shapeshifters in the skeleton.... They will have been around for a long while but they are on the shapeshifters' home land so it wouldn't be a surprise...

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Hunter_Killer on Mon Nov 17, 2008 4:34 pm

(If I missed something let me know)

Race: Dekan

Appearance: See picture on page 1. Skin color can be a dark blue, silver-white, or pitch black.
Their dragon form varies between their person and their race. Turquoise Dekan (dark blue) generally have a medium body with semi-long and semi-wide wings, Diamond Dekan (silver-white) Are usually longer and more serpentine, with long narrow wings, and finally Onyx Dekan (pitch black) have usually a heavy body with shorter, wider wings. Beyond the color of their hide and their base looks, their dragon form is entirly based upon the Dekan. (Like how no two people are the same)

Characteristics: Thier personalities are also based around their race. They all have a sharred feeling of remaining cut off from the other races, though many notable Diamond and Onyx Dekan have vetured from their realm to participate in aventures, quests and battles for good or evil intent.

Personalities: The Turquoise, Diamond and Onyx Dekan each have specific personality traits that come from their race.

Turquoise Dekan respect each of the three races equally, though they tend to look down those that arn't one of the three, like Jade Dekan, who have a slight greeinish-blue color. They have a wide rang of emotions and their temper is usually very mild.

Diamond Dekan, repectivly, hold all races of Dekan in light, even if they are not of the three. Although they do have a certain distrust in the Onyx Dekan and their destructive behavior. Diamond Dekan are a little more willing to leave their lands, if only for scholarly ventures or to offer their medical aid. Their tempers and almost impossible to set off, although if such a feat is managed, it is even harder to calm them.

Onyx Dekan are almost the exact opposite of the Diamond Dekan. They see their race as the most superior of the races but hold some regard to the Turquoise, since they sided with them during the Elemental War. Their tempers are very quick and easy to set off, and they will hold a grudge for as long as the other isn't killed by their hand, or recieved a fair judgment by there hand. Even if it meens violating a cemetary to dig up the remains of a long dead foe.

Homeland: North Nailin

History: North Nailin is split into three parts, shared between the three races of Dekan. The largest land before the mountain range to the Turquoise, and the mountains are splt between the Diamond and Onxy Dekan. They remain cut off from other shapeshifters and the rest of the lands, if they don't get involved it's not their problem.

Background: Dekans are the kin of two different dragons. While there are Dekan of all different colors and sizes, the most dominent races are the Turquoise, the Diamond, and the Onyx Dekan. All Dekan, not matter the decent, have one thing in common. One of the two dragons was a Quartz dragon, but the second was any dragon other than a Quartz dragon. The Turquoise Dekan are the kin of the Sapphire and Quartz dragons, the Diamond Dekan are the kin of the Pearl and Quartz dragons, and the Onyx Dekan are the kin of the Obsidian and Quartz dragons. While the dragons know of the Dekan's exhistence they rarely bring them up in conversation, even to their riders.

Dekan have fairly long life spans, it is not clear how long exactly because most Dekan die in battle or wielding magic. It is believed that some of the Dragons in the world are actually Dekan who have given up on their humanoid form. They have been blessed with elemental abilities and more dragon-like abilities in dragon form.

There was only one time in the past when the Dekan used to travel across the lands, back during the Elemental Wars. Only the oldest Dekan and Dragons will remember this war because it was held in private between the two sides. The Onyx and Turquoise Dekan united to fight for equal statis as the dragons while the Diamond Dekan remained neutral, although they did lean in more favor towards the dragons. The Onyx Dekan that lead the campain was eventually killed and a treaty was signed. Restricting the Dekan to the northern portion of their home land.

The boundries have been removed many years ago, but the Dekan focused more inwards now, closing the outside world to them.

The Races(Strengths/weaknesses/boundries): The Turquoise, Onyx and Diamond Dekan are the three major races, with the Turquoise Dekan being the largest. The Turquoise lead lives as warriors, healers, traders, and a multitude of other jobs. They are responsible for the seperation and reattaching powers in the zhen. They are responcible for keeping outsiders away from their boarders. They are fluent in Dragon, and new Aremenic, the language of the Dekan, as well as a multitude of the human dialect(I am assuming there is more than one race of human). The Turquoise are masters of the ice elemental, so fire spells, elementals, and creatures/attacks hurt them the most.

The Onyx Dekan are the smallest of the three races. The hold lifestyles that excel in fighting, such as the royal guard or officers in an army. Apart from fighting, they do little to the Dekan community, apart from thier work needed to make the zhen blades capable of handling extended combat without sharpening and prolonged effects from enhancements invoked on it. They are fluent in Ancient and new Aremenic, Dragon, and a form of human dialect they call Einhoren(English). The Onyx are masters of the fire elemental, so ice and water spells, elementals, and creatures/attacks hur them the most.

The Diamond Dekan are the second largest of the three races, although still small in comparison to the Turquoise. They hold high ranking positions, such as scholars, civil and government officials, and healers. They are responsible for retrieveing the enchanted wood needed to for the staff of the zhen, which is found within the root of an ancient tree that grows deep within the mountains. They are fluent in almost every known language including, but not limited to: Ancient and new Aremenic, Dragon, almost every known human dialect and a vast number of others that would be considered dead. The Diamond are masters of both fire and ice, yet which ever elemental they choose to wield, the exact opposite will effect them, though not as badly as with the Onyx or Turquoise. Also, if they attempt to use both elementals in one day they will be critically handy capped and restricted.

Powers/weaponry: the ability to shift into a dragon. Based on the race of Dekan, determins their abilities and powers. The Turquoise favor the ice elemental, giving them an ice breath in dragon form and ice enchantments in human form. They also use their zhen in its seperated form more often.
The Diamonds have both fire and ice, but if they attempt to use both elements within a day of each other, no matter which form, they will be drained of all their magic ability and stamina for an unknown amount of time. They also fight with the zhen seperated or as a solitary weapon, although a master of their race can never best a master of another race in its fighting form.
The Onxy have the fire elemental, giving them fire breath in dragon form and and fire enchantments in human form. They are skilled with fighting with the zhen in its complete form.
The Diamonds, compared to the other races, have an amazing healing ability and knowledge as well. While the other two only know minor spells and treatments.

Weapon of choice between all Dekan is the Zhen, a weapon they have made from the metal of fallen stars they find in their realm. The Zhen can be enchanted to have the Dekan's elemental properties within the blade. They also, with enough mental focus, can be split into two blades and attached into one... No mark is made in the reattachment. The long wooden grips is made from an enchanted wood only the Diamond Dekan can make, thile the blade is made by the Onxy Dekan. The Turquoise Dekan envoke the magic ability to split and reattach the zhen for use.

Other info:
In human form, a Dekan's armor is its dragon form's hide. The transformation alters the hide so that it fits the Dekan snuggly like armor, but if one got close enough to examine it, they would find it is attached to their skin by a fine membrane. The armor is as strong as their scales in dragon form so fire, ice and other elemental blows cannot effect it. Bruises in dragon form do not appear in human form, but cuts in the armor in dragon from will appear as ruined or torn scales in dragon form. Their Zhen is enchanted, thanks to all three Dekan races in turn, so that when they transform to dragon form, the zhen is stored behind a section of the frill that is made entirely from bone, so it doen not get in the way or harm the Dekan.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1021/144 ... b8.jpg?v=0
Personality: Sage is a very friendly and funny girl. She loves to laugh and hates drama and other not so fun stuff. She is very dedicated and hard working and doesn't like people who judge. Dragon: Ameera

Name: Ameera
Height: 8 feet
Length: 35 feet
Wingspan: 60 feet
Scales: 1 1/2 inches
Fangs: 4 inches
Looks: Ameera has a dark purple body, that fades on her neck and legs. Her wings change from purple to dark blue as they near the tips and her mane is dark blue, her eyes are a very light blue almost white.
http://www.peterson.af.mil/shared/media ... 11-003.jpg
Characteristics: Ameera has a very calm and polite personality when there are other people or dragons around. But can be very very snappy and cranky. She is very wise and doesn't talk much to Sage, unless needed.
Power: Water

MY INTRO:
Sage weaved between the tall golden blades of grass and peered through them. Her dark brown eyes spotted a rabbit about 20 feet away. Easy, she thought to herself. She narrowed her eyes and quietly and slowly pulled an arrow from out of her bag, that hung from her shoulders. She lifted up the marked and rotten bow and pulled back, leaving two fingers on the string. She let go and it shot straight through the rabbits neck. "Yes!" she said excitedly running towards the furry creature before she forgot where it was. She picked it up and sighed. She hated having to kill the poor things. Then she smelt something terrible. Her nose wrinkled in disgust and she hung the rabbit an arms length away. It must have been sick. She dropped the rabbit on the ground and stuck her non-contaminated fingers in her mouth whisteling loudly. Then she heard a loud roar a couple miles away. She saw a large mass lift from the ground and soar towards her and her beautiful purple dragon, Ameera, hovered just a few feet away. Her flapping wings making the grass bend down with her wind power. Then she landed with a thud and looked at Sage. "Here." Sage said loudly picking up the light brown creature and throwing it high in the air. Ameera snatched at it quickly and swollowed it hole. Thanks? Ameera thought, giving her a curious look. Sage giggled and said, "I didn't want it to go to waste." The large dragon rolled her eyes and lowered her body so Sage could climb on.
And God Created Woman.
And She was Good.
And she had two arms, two legs and three breasts.
And God asked woman what she would like to have changed about herself.
And she asked for her middle breast to be removed.
And it was good.
And she stood with her third breast in her hand
And asked God what should be done with the useless boob.
And God created man.

That's great, Hunter. I'm currently adding a short fact-file of the continent to include major cities, lingo etc. Hopefully it'll be of some use.

Oh and for everyone's information: the Stars are a magical race that are created when a person on Cirrian dies. Most of Cirrian (Armeikai, Sharlohm and Jahnhey) believe them to be Gods/Goddesses due to their extensive use of magic and immortal lives. These are Lalians. Those on Wordonat and Nailin believe that the Stars are simply another race (which is closer to the truth) and have their own religion, Cain ('Cainans') and Isaac (the belief that all things living return to Cirrian and are thusly re-incarnated) respectively. There'll be more details on Cain in the first post. :)

Here we go...

Name: Asirma'Nagul

Age: 235 years old, looks to be about 30

Race: Dekan

Gender: Male

Appearance: Diamond Dekan. Sandy tan hair with sky blue eyes. He also has three gills on either cheek, but only a Dekan or Dragon would see them for what they are. His armor is narrow, his shoulder guards are thin and taper off to a point, just out over the shoulders. The armor has a webbed weave of silver into the gauntleys, boots and armor. On the back is a design of a dragon made from a weave of pure silver and gold with Diamond eyes and fangs. He also has a silver cloack that covers his back design, material looks like it could be a fabric but with veins of silver running through it. He carries his zhen close at hand. The blades, like on all zhen, appear to be in the form of a crashing wave. The staff is worn and made from a brick-red wood with gold and crimson leather pressed into it where his hands would hold it.

In dragon form he is long and serpentine, being at least 2 and a half times the length of a regular dragon. He only has two limbes, right where his neck joins his body, even though he looks like on long continuous body. His wings are right above he shoulders and they are long and narrow as well. At the section where his head joins his neck, underneath his lower jaw, is the gills seen on his cheeks in human form. He has a medium length bone frill, so people can hold onto it as he flies, or, as he already uses it, a storage for his zhen. His scales have a slight tint of silver and gold veins weaving across his hide. His eyes also shift between silver and gold.

Pesonality: See Dekan Race Description

History: See Dekan Race Description

Magic/weaponry: Zhen, few magic spells and enchantments, plus fire/ice breathing ability in dragon form

RP Intro: Asirma rested against a tree, watching the falling leaves as the sun rose into the sky. He turned at watching the tiny ripples on the lake from a gentle breath of wind that pushed from the north east. He watched as the stalks of the tall grass bowed and turned like living ripples in the air, turning their silvery sides to the sun and reflecting its light. He looked up as clouds of white and a light alomst, non-exhistent gray drifted lazzily overhead. He took a deep breth and exhailed slowly. True peace.

A solitary white feather drifted from the wind, its small, frail for sailing the breeze like a high wind. Asirma frowned. The feather driffted, as with a purpose towards him. He watched it with his eyes, remaining motionless. It drifted down and rested on one of his hands that lay, palm down on his armor. He slowly reached with the other and picked it up. Twirling it so the side that landed on him could be seen.

His eyes narrowed.

He read the message inscribed within the gaps between the quill and the feather. He tossed it high into the air and its color changed from pure white to black. Before it fell strait to the ground, where it would shatter into a multitupe of tiny pieces. Asirma rose and stalked away from the tree with great purpose and speed. A small, white cloud blocked the sun's rays for little more than 3 seconds. When the sun emerged once more, the dark shadow of a long dragon could be watched, rushing over the field and a faint reflection of the white being as it soared to some unknown location.

The dust of the enchanted messanger picked up in the gentle nudges of the next breath of air. And were carried away to the horizon, to some unknow location. Their words only known to whoever sent it and Asirma...

High above the sun reached its throne of its climb, where it would sit for only moments before begining to fall once more.

Re: Legions of the Dragon Coalition (OOC & Recruitment)

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Kestrel on Wed Dec 03, 2008 4:38 pm

Name: Naradei

Age: 29

Race: Sagar-Morwen

Gender: Female

Appearance: As one would expect from a descendant of a creature of legendary beauty, Naradei is stunningly gorgeous. Her skin colour is a bit more ‘full’, which causes people to think of Naradei as very healthy. Her hair reaches just below her cheeks and has many shades, contrasting from a near-white silver till a more dark-grey colour. The coupe leaves her main attraction very open, the face. Full lips, hazy orange eyes, you name it, she has it.
Naradei’s body is well endowed. Her figure is slender (but healthy!) and delicate curves accent femininity. The Morwen stands a 5.78 on her relatively tall legs.
Personality: People like to think of her as a very good-natured and always-sensual kind of woman. These people are not unlikely to have their heads on one of Naradei’s sisters’ walls. As Naradei might not be ‘evil’ by nature, she has violent and repulsive tendencies towards people who misjudge her character. That and the part where she grew up in a mostly green-haired family. This Morwen is sarcastic, as she is witty as she can be down-right mean. Deep down she’s an incredible softie, but that’d a depth as deep as the ocean floor itself! Possibly deeper.

History: Her parent died a dramatic death, they were eaten by their own kin. But Naradei has no clue and therefore that little fact won’t play a part in this RP. The ones who ate her parent have raised her and because these green-haired Morgans and Morwen are impulsive liars, nobody ever told her. These caretakers despised that anyone with some knowledge about their species, would either run from them or engage combat, causing their hunts to become less successful and their selves very hungry over time. So they raised Naradei as their own daughter to use her ‘good’ appearance as a lure for sailors and fishermen. Which was quite successful.

Magic/weaponry: Similar to the Retiarius (Roman gladiator symbolising the fisherman), a net, a trident and a dagger for reserve. As far as magic goes, besides enchanting beauty, she has also inherited a magical singing voice that allows her to seduce, but also calm like a mother’s lullaby. Naturally she hates these uses and will most likely try to avoid the usage whenever she can. She prefers the deafening screeches the voice can emit. Naradei possesses no healing magic and will under no condition be associated with it.

Other: Naradei and her sisters live deep down the ocean, near a no man's island amidst of a route where many merchant ships and pirates fare. It lies in-between Armeikai's East coast and Sharlohm's West. The winds around here are gentle and the climate is rather wet.

RP Intro:

“Aye, ye lass. ‘ver ‘ere! We’re lookin’ for a port! Lost tae way ‘round ‘ere. Mist’s been botherin’ tae navi and tae compass ‘s broken.”

“Good for you.”

The way the old sailor spoke to her did not please Naradei in the least. The utter rudeness of calling her lass. They were an uninvited guest in these waters, they were ought to show some respect. Not that this man was the only sailor to have ever done such, not at all, but the Sagar-Morgwen felt guilty feeding her sisters such a filthy dinner.

“Ye dun ‘ave tae get mouthy wench! ‘m just askin’ ye if y’can help us.”

Naradei rolled her eyes, but figured that this man probably couldn’t see her. That or he was a homosexual. The mist hid the details, she thought. It didn’t really bother her though. She’d only have to endure this man a little longer.

“Help you? Oh of course, how silly of me.” Naradei moaned before she took a leap into the sea. Within the few moments she couldn’t be seen, she emitted a signal for her sisters. She swam towards the ship swiftly, moving her legs as a tail and her arms like fins, creating small wrinkles in the water.

“Can you take me aboard?” Naradei asked the sailor, although it sounded more like a grouse than a question. The man grumbled and threw a rope over the small ship’s slope. Naradei grabbed it with both hands and lifted her body up. Kicking her feet against the wood climbing her way up to the deck, the sailor had decided to get a better look at the woman.

“Boys!” He bellowed. “Ye gotta set yer eyes on this! ‘tis one of ‘em fine blue sea-wenches!” Not realising those were his last words, as the crew gathered to catch a glance of Naradei’s body, her sisters had boarded the ship from the other side

Perfect, Kestrel - you managed to capture them very well. Only one small pointer: Naradei would be deigned as a 'Sagar-Morwen' rather than a 'Sagar-Morgan' as the latter is used only for the male counterpart (the phrase 'Sea-Maiden' obviously cannot be used for guys and so I created an alternative). Other than that, spot on: jump into the IC whenever you wish! :D

Oh sorry 'bout that. I figured that Morgan was the female of the two, but that's probably influenced by that silly witch in the legends.

Lol, no worries. In the book itself, each name has a significant meaning, therfore: 'Sagar' is 'Sea' or 'Ocean', 'Morwen' is 'Maiden' and 'Morgan' is 'Warrior'. :)

Further info. on the race:
- Sagar-Morwen are an all female race and can go through both sexual and asexual reproduction (i.e. they have the choice of mating with human males (produces male and female offspring) or producing a single female offspring once every 5 years for 25 years (they become sexually mature at 20));
- green-haired Sagar-Morwen are both racist and sexist and thus hate the idea of mixing their blood with humans, therefore any male ('Sagar-Morgan') born from a mating is either killed at birth or within the first year and half-breed females are kept but not allowed to reproduce in their lifetime; silver-haired Sagar-Morwen are much more accepting and often pair with a human mate for a lifetime (husband); they would never kill their own child;
- green-haired Sagar-Morwen generally live quite deep in the ocean, either on outcrops/islands far away from any shore or deep beneath the surface of the waves (think 'Atlantis' like dwellings); silver-haired Sagar-Morwen on the other hand enjoy more company and tend to settle in reefs or outcrops/archipelagos nearer to shore; some may even live on the mainland with their husband, but this is very rare;
- Sagar-Morwen blood contains minute toxins that are dangerous to humans: green-haired females take advantage of this, whereas silver-haired females are a lot more cautious about the matter; the toxins only come into effect when Sagar-Morwen blood mixes with human blood e.g. cuts and wounds.

I'm actually really pleased that you chose one of the Sagar-Morwen to play as, I have to say, they're my favourite creations in the whole story! :D Feel free to post in the IC whenever you get the chance.

As an aside...

WHERE HAVE MY LEGION GOT TO?? :( *pouts*

Aight, then Naradei is obviously brought to life by 'asexual reproduction'. I'll edit the profile to add/change some info based on that post and try to post later today (still gotta reply in another RP and read through the entire IC thread)

EDIT: Oh, and would you mind putting that extra info in the first post? Not just for me, but I think it's useful for everyone to have all the information together so people don't have to search the thread.
