Introduction
"Listen with your soul, not just your ear's. Feel the Musicks, they reside within the sound, you have to look for them. Only the power of the Conductor's can lead them into our world."
Music, sound, noise, harmony, the four component's of the Sanus Bellum, the Sound War.
An evil force called Noise, made up of all the negativity and chaos of the world. The negative emotions and expressions that create disorder have become entities that threaten our existence. They move through our world without us even noticing them, but they are the reason for most of the world's recent problems. Strange weather, pollution, crime outbreaks. Lately they have been attacking humans, stealing their life force and simply leaving husks. Comatose humans, waiting for the sound to re-enter their bodies.
But hope is not lost, a group of warrior's know only as Composers have risen up to fight the darkness. From birth they were very sensitive to the noise around them. They could see, feel, touch, interact with the sound. To them sound was something more than it could ever be for us, it was life. They could see that everyone's souls had a certain tone, a beat, a frequency, unique only to them. They could see the noise inside of peoples heart's distorting their soul. Noise creature's would often attempt to attack them so to protect themselves composer's learned to manipulate sound. They imbued their soul into the fabric of sound, and created Echoes. Beings of sound that are in complete harmony with their souls. They become life partner's to the composer and fight to eliminate Noise.
Grand Metropolis is the world center for music, it is also the biggest city in the world. With 47 million, citizen's it has become a life spring for music and art, as well as crime. Here is where the world will come to an end. That is if the composer's cannot put an end to the Noise.
As a composer you wear special Noise canceling headphones that make you deaf to regular sound. Once you are deaf you can open your sense to the Sound realm, and interact with it, only then can you use the power's of your Echo, fight Noise, and look into other people's souls. When your are deaf to the regular world, the world returns the favor, people will not acknowledge your existence until you return to the regular world and take off your head phones.
ECHOES
A literal life form composed of your soul and sound. They become stronger when around Music, depending on the music your character likes. And your affinity. Sound gives the Echoes power, that sound is picked by the composer. Depending on the affinity certain sounds can either weaken or strengthen the Echo. For Example when near a factory the composer would have to make sure they focused only on certain sounds that made a rhythm that was either Harmonic, or Discordant (sounds very chaotic).
Music is the strongest most influential power in the Sound Realm. When something is played with positive emotions it favors someone with
Harmonic affinity. When something is played with negative emotion, it favors the Noise.
AFFINITY
There are two sides that you can choose to join.
Noise: The noise destroys harmony so that "Pure" sound can exist. It is very powerful.
Only those who have grown tired of the filth that humanity creates, or those who have accepted that humanity is a plague join up with the noise. Their Echo will always glow with a strange static like aura.
Harmony: Sound can come together in a manner that creates Harmony. Harmony can happen with any sound, because it is so flexible it can even overpower Noise. But it takes a talented composer to gather the right sounds.

"Yeah, I do that sometimes!" Nate joked back, joining Venus in the classic battle formation. "I usually fly solo, but it shouldn't be a problem for me to carry you, on a good day!" He and Venus were back to back, fighting the thinning Noise ranks. In harmony with the other fighting composers, the duo eventually were able to eliminate all of the remaining Noise, and the street returned to a relatively peaceful state.
"I'm glad that's over," Nate huffed, bending over to catch his breath. Even though Night had technically been doing most of the work, the empathetic bond they shared caused Nate's energy to drop in proportion with his Echo's. The sound of approaching footsteps caused the boy to look up. He saw that the newcomer was a girl, approximately Nate's own age, with a small butterfly as an Echo. The butterfly was strange; one of its wings was tattered, forcing it to fly with a 'limp', so to say, in order to stay airborne.
"Hey guys...We did a pretty good job in fighting the Noise."
"Um... yeah," Nate replied, slightly puzzled by the girl's openness. He certainly didn't know the girl, and Nate wasn't sure if Venus knew her either. "You a friend of Venus'?"

"I am so sorry about Sync," I told her, grabbing the bird from my shoulder as I felt him gathering up for another piercing scream. "He's anti-social, I think. And he probably has anger issues. He hurt your Echo earlier in the store, didn't he?" Sync began to struggle, and I held him tighter; but he raged on, even nipping at me until I let him fly off in a fit. "Ow. He bit me. I guess you could say I'm at war with myself.... He's always doing something wrong, getting me into trouble one way or another. I'm sorry." After a minute though, my spark returned. "I'm Venus Valentine; and don't laugh, because it could alway be worse. My middle name is Lucrecia — could you imagine if that had been my first name?"
I sighed as the thought of my family crossed through my mind. Why did I have to have such a weird one? And that reminded me that my house was empty, except for Kaida. While Mom and Dad were at work, and Mercury was at school.... Maybe a little party was in order. The three of us needed to get to know eachother anyway. "Hey, I've got an idea! We're all Composers, and I'm guessing we're all on the same team.... So why don't we go back to my place to celebrate our victory and get to know eachother?" No, what I really meant was make pancakes and play the Nazi Zombie mini game on Call of Duty: World at War. But that was fun, wasn't it?

Travis hesitated at first, not because he didn't trust her, it was because he trusted her too much. It was strange how much trust he had placed on this girl. She was quick but it wasn't too much trouble to keep up with her. Travis and cobalt formed their sound-board and flew after her. Riding on the noise, sometimes quickly sometime slowly it was very sporadic, but both of them had learned to maneuver.
She was beautiful to watch, the way both of them moved it was so full of passion. Their movements were very coordinated, never missing a step, always moving at the right pace. It was very captivating. At one point Travis almost crashed into a building. Cobalt wasn't better off, the Echo the girl had had him just as interested. Cobalt was not used to being around other Echoes before, especially ones from Harmony. It felt strange to him being around the Harmony Echoes, he couldn't feel them, they were like ghosts to him. When it came to Noise he could spot it from miles away, but if that Echo wanted to sneak up on Cobalt it would have no problem.
"We should be there soon right?" Travis spoke, breaking the silence he had kept for a while. It might have only been a few minutes but to him it felt like a couple hours. He couldn't help but think that the Sound Realm had something to do with his sudden distortion of time. That and the girl.
His question was answered when she stopped at the corner and waited for him. He got down off the board and landed next to her. Both of them still had their headphones on, so if they wanted to get coffee they would have to take them off.

"I'm Venus Valentine; and don't laugh, because it could alway be worse. My middle name is Lucrecia — could you imagine if that had been my first name?" Lazette tried her best not to laugh, Venus was an unusual name, and adding to that his middle name was Lucrecia. A hand distinctively went up to cover her small smile, "It's...unusual. Umm...Very unique?"
"Hey, I've got an idea! We're all Composers, and I'm guessing we're all on the same team.... So why don't we go back to my place to celebrate our victory and get to know each other?" Lazette pulled the plug from being connected to the Sound Realm and hung her headphones on her neck before Papillon got a chance to interfere. She stretched her arm behind her back and looked at the guys. "I'm in, after all this fighting I'm hungry and thirsty. Oh! I forgot...I'm Lazette Rain. My dad's half French and my mom is full Japanese, crazy combo right? It's not something but it was the best they could do without fighting."
Lazette bit her lower lip from saying anymore, it was bad enough she was agreeing to going with them, she might bore them with her past. 'Whatever happens today happens. Tomorrow they won't even remember me.'

Akia chuckled and said, "They are on you bed stand, But you don't need them because Kellie is here today." Bliss's face pinked, "Oh my." She smacked her self on the forehead and pulled on the unlocked door. She looked to Travis, "I don't know where my head is." She entered the door and trotted up the stairs. She skipped the first two dance floors, into the third, walked strait threw the empty dance floor to the office in back. She flicked on the lights.
The lights illuminated the office. Showing its modern style that is hidden under mounds of messy paper work. She started the coffee pot and cleared a weird couch/chair for Travis and his Echo. She gestured to the seat. After the coffee pot dinged she poured two glasses set one close to the couch-thing on the coffee table. and the other next to her favorite chair that she curled up in after pulling off her jacket, scarf, and putting them and her purse on her desk. Akia after Bliss had finaly sat jumped up and rested on her lap.
Bliss left out a soft 'ouff' to pick on Akia. Then remembered she had forgotten to introduce her. "Travis, I'd like you to meet my Echo Akia." She smiled as she scratched her behind the ear.

All at once, I headed off, pulling my phone from my pocket and unplugging my headphones, which I stuffed in my bag for safe keeping. I dialed my home phone and waited for a moment before Kaida picked up, and he didn't sound happy. "Venus.... Whaddaya want?"
"Need anything while I'm out?"
"Not if you're going to touch it."
"Well, fine. Be that way." At this point I heard a voice in the background. Someone had asked who Kaida was talking to. I was confused for a moment, but when it clicked, I let myself smirk darkly. "You've got Vincent over, haven't you? Oh... Kaida.... I'm gonna tell Mom."
"Don't bother. I'll tell Mom. I don't care anymore, I really don't."
"HA! You're just saying that so that I don't call her and tell her right now! I can see through you, Kaida Valentine! You are no longer the mysterious, unbreakable robot you used to be!"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
I dropped my voice and grinned maniacly. "You've got a boyfriend."
"I'm not going to say anything about Rikku. You just have your fun. Oh, and if you're bringing those two over here, make sure you keep it down and clean up when you're done, because I'm taking the heat for you again."
This made me stop dead in my tracks. "How'd you know about Nate and Lazette?"
"I know everything." With that, my brother hung up on me, and I was left staring at my phone in confusion. What was his problem? Another question to add to the mystery that was my little brother....

They finally got into her office, and Travis took a seat. She looked very comfortable in her chair. She finally introduced her Echo, Akia, which resembled a kitten. Cobalt didn't miss a beat, coming at Travis with sarcastic comment.
"I love cats." Cobalt joked, then gave a Travis a quick side-glance. He was sitting next to Travis, resting his hind legs and supporting himself on his front legs. His tail was laying next to him, halfway wrapped around his hind legs.
"Relax buddy, not all cats are bad. Besides they're friends you can learn to get along right?" Travis laughed before looking at...
Had he really not know her name the entire time? Or had he forgotten? He could really only call her the "Hello" girl.
"Sorry about that, this is Cobalt by the way. He's normally less rude than that." Travis petted Cobalts head. "Umm sorry for asking, but what was your name again? I feel as if I've forgotten it."

Lazette grabbed another water bottle from her red bag and wondered, "Hey Venus, do you have Nutella? Oh..Um...If you don't mind me wondering..." She caught herself in mid-sentence seeing him on the phone. Nutella was her favorite topping on blueberry waffles. Well, next to whip cream with strawberries.

"How'd you know about Nate and Lazette?" Nate heard him say.
"Who was..." Nate trailed off. On second thought, he might not want to know. Anyone that omniscient must be kind of creepy. "Never mind. So, how far away is your house, Venus?" he asked, hoping to spark some small talk within the group. Nate hated awkward silences.

"Bliss." She cleared her throat, "My name is Bliss." Bliss was terible at small talk. "So, I think we should get to know each other. " She stated , but she couldn't support that opinion with talk. She thought long and hard for a moment as she kept her eyes on Travis. "If you haven't guessed yet, I dance. Here is where I teach ballet." It wasn't much, but she hoped that he could go on from that.
Akia trying to get on Cobalt's nerves kept scooting closer to him, and rubbing her tiny head against his massive leg. She stopped suddenly, back up and looked up at Cobalt, "Why do dogs and cats hate each other anyway?" She questioned. She never really hated a dog. Then again she never really got close to one. She pondered. Bliss giggled at Akia, but secretly was waiting for a good answer to that question.

"Thats so awesome, I love dancing. I mean I don't dance but I love watching it." Travis stood up. "I got carried away my my own sort of dance. He snapped his fingers and a sound board came into existence. He jumped on and did a kick-flip before the board dissipated, small sounds don't make long lasting boards.
Cobalt flinched a little as the cat rubbed up against his leg. It wasn't that he hated cats, he just found it hard to trust them. Many of them were selfish, liars, devious. It was simply too much of a risk to like them. "Not very many cats have a good reputation with trust."
Cobalt had a good heart and only held negative opinions for people or Noise that disrespected him. The cat was kind of cute. Using his tail Cobalt lifted up the kitten into the air and dropped her. It was gentle and playful though.
Travis laughed. "How about showing us some of your dance moves?" Travis suggested to Bliss.

At Nate's question, I had to think. "My house is just outside city limits, kind of in a suburb area, you know? I've gotta take the sub and a bus to get there; and it's always timed just right so I can get onto the bus without worry. I don't know if they do it on purpose or.... Anyway, it'll be about a half hour for the sub, another ten minute walk, and then the bus is twenty. Soo...." I counted up the amount of time in my head, almost not believing that it was that long. Then again, living in the same house all my life, I had gotten used to it. It didn't feel like it was that long, and I never took it as anything else. My old school had been in the city, but I had graduated last year and was waiting until the next one before I started college. I needed some freedom after all those years — my entire childhood — had been stripped from me, forcing my to sit in a dull room with twenty-five other people while some old hag preached about whatever she happened to be teaching. A bright student as I was, I always found it difficult to pay attention. It might have been because I swore I suffered from ADD or something, though nobody believed me. "That makes it a whole hour or so.... Wow. Let's just hope my brother and his boyfriend are keeping it PG while we're there. I don't even want to think about what their doing."
Seriously, Vincent happened to be a teacher at the school that Kaida now attended without me. He had been rather good-looking, though I hadn't seen him recently to judge. It was a fact that he was the teacher all the girls would have taken to the janitor's closet in a snap if he offered, and even some of the boys; because, evidently, not only did he swing that way, but he was interested in my little brother. Vincent was apparently some kind of genious or something, and he had graduated from university as a Microbiologist, and had gone to teacher's college so that he could teach biology to high school students; he was barely twenty-two. Either that or immortal. But, honestly, if he didn't have some sort of weird, pedophilic interest in my seventeen-year-old brother, then he wouldn't have personally delievered the homework as I knew e probably had. Which... was... alright. It just meant that I wouldn't need to take the detour to the school, which I had completely forgotten about until then.

Her frequency was gray. Very few colors still shone within her. The Noise was changing her, it wouldn't be long untill it completely consumed her.
"Fenix, you evil little boy you!" A female voice, soft yet cold and malevolent spoke. "You helped turn that street into a battlefield most glorious. Of course that girls help proved to be most beneficial."
His hair laid over his eyes. The dirty blonde hair glowing in the fluorescent lights of the subway. He was slouched over, supporting himself with his arms on his legs. He twiddled his thumbs as the black and red bird spoke to him. He let out a sigh, hot and glowing. An orange flame made its way out of his lungs.
"Are you still thinking about him? That brat is a nuisance most troublesome."
"He's the only one..."
"What?"

"Do you think we should exchange phone numbers or something?" He asked, his question directed to both of his colleagues. "I don't live anywhere near you, Venus, and I'm not sure where you live, Lazette, but it probably won't be close. If we're going to be fighting the Noise together, we should probably keep in touch."

"How many-" She was cut of by Nate's sudden question.
"Do you think we should exchange phone numbers or something?" She bit her tongue causing it to bleed just a little as what Nate said sunk into her. For a second her vision doubled and the floor looked like it was floating. Her change personal information with them was the absolute last thing she wanted to do, so much for her plan of leaving on so they would forget about her. Different options popped into her head on how to avoid the question, all of them seemed like she was too conservative. Forcing a fake smile she decided to settle with the oldest one in the book.
"My number is 646-***-****. I don't have my phone on me so call the number until it reaches voicemail, then when I get home I'll save it."
Lazette automatically thought of her book bag where her books and necessities were, underneath those things were her phone, but she didn't give her real number, instead she gave them her house phone which was disconnected years ago.
"Oh, you said you lived in the suburbs? I've never been to that kind of area, my parents always preferred cities so suburbs seemed kind of out there for them. I always thought of farms, crops, cows, and corn." Lazette looked over to Venus then to Nate with saucer liked eyes and confusion, it resembled a child wondering why a bird would fly away from it.

Fenix got off the subway. His head was drooped down, and he drearily made his way up the steps. His breath was hot and a steady stream of smoke flowed from his mouth. The red and black bird perched upon his shoulder laid a menacing shadow upon his appearance. He reached the top of the stairs and stopped. His heart beating faster with anticipation for the following events. He could hear it, the faint and feeble sound of Harmony, what a pathetic sound.
Venus, Nate and Lazette stood before him. Unaware of the danger they had just stepped into. Flames wrapped themselves around his legs and stretched upwards toward his back. An eruption of flame that was both furious and beautiful, Fenix lowered the flame so that only the soles of his shoes were noticeably aflame.

Bliss grabbed a throw, and lightly tucked Travis in. She smiled softly. Being this close to him made her feel weird. She back up and looked at them. Cobalt and Travis. She couldn't let Cobalt go uncovered so she went to her chair behind her desk and grabbed her coat. She gently placed it on Cobalt and scratched behind his ears. Akia had already snuggled up on Cobalt's back. So Bliss decided to leave the office door open and go into the dance room.
She put on the ballet flats with ease. And she was dancing in a matter of minutes. On her toes. She spun her self silly. She wasn't doing any planned dance, just her favorite moves, in any random order. Jumps and spins were her favorite so the dance took quite a bit from her.
Some time after, She wasn't sure on the time really. She was left breathless sitting on the dance floor staring into the mirror. Her head tilted, she could see into the office and the three sleeping. She smirked at them. Then looked at herself. Wondering.
[[oh my goodness, I'm so so sooo sorry for being not so active. Life's been crazy and I hope you can understand a bit. I'll try so much harder. Promise. ]]

Travis woke with a jump. Beads of sweat rested on his forehead. He was panting heavily and his hands were shaking. His dreams held dark visions of the future. Events that signaled the fall of humanity. He saw a large city, the streets lined with fallen bodies. Their eyes wide open still alive, but their frequency's were dead, a flat line of grey color that didn't move. Silence was all that could be heard.
"Was it that dream again?" Cobalt spoke being woken by his composer's sudden outburst. "Will you be alright?"
Travis took some deep breaths and tried to collect himself. The shock and startle began to wear off. He sighed and wiped his fore head before looking at his Echo. "Yeah, I'll be fine."
He stood up and looked around, the girl was nowhere in sight and he decided to go look for her. He went to the dance room. Where he found her laying on the floor. Before entering he knocked on the side of the door frame to announce that he was coming in.

Nate immediately took out his phone and did so, leaving a small message to be sure that his call registered in the machine. Well, if she's giving me her phone number, I guess that there's no room for speculation, he thought, pocketing his cellular once more. She's an ally.
"Oh, you said you lived in the suburbs? I've never been to that kind of area, my parents always preferred cities so suburbs seemed kind of out there for them. I always thought of farms, crops, cows, and corn."
"No, that would be a rural area," Nate cut in, responding to the statement for Venus. "A suburb is a collection of houses with small yards. They're not as packed as cities, but no suburb I've ever seen has cows! I used to live in the suburbs of Washington, but that was before..." Nate trailed off, horrible memories resurfacing from the dark recesses of his mind. Flames all around, smoke-saturated air... "Never mind, it doesn't matter. Hey Venus, how about your phone number?"
Soon after he finished talking, Nate felt a familiar sensation running down his spine. He had felt the feeling before, but had not experienced it in a long time. It felt as if there was some sort of evil... something nearby, just waiting to strike. A Noise user, he thought, glancing around, yet seeing nothing. He must be in the Sound Realm.
"Hey guys, wanna listen to some music?" he spoke up, hoping the others would catch his drift.

Re: [OOC] Sanus Bellum
Yet another interesting fact about the sound realm.
Noise users have increased power, due to the nature of where their power comes from. Emotions like anger and sorrow can quickly overtake somebody and put them in a different state of mind. The emotions are very powerful but, they eventually overtake the person. They lose connection to the physical world and even though they exist in both realms, the Real realm ignores them COMPLETELY. They are like ghosts in a sense, invisible but still there. Their sacrifice of the Realm realm allows further interaction with the Sound Realm, therefore, stronger Musicks.
Fenix has been completely taken over by Noise, only the sound realm notices him and there is always a heavy air that surrounds him. It would be very hard not to notice him. Be careful you guys. He's one tough son of a bitch.

Re: [OOC] Sanus Bellum
Despite the previous description, my health is not in question. So I'm ready to continue doing what we do and role play to our hearts content. Hopefully I can avoid being mauled by bears.
Re: [OOC] Sanus Bellum
Me and a few friends will be camping for three days. It's going to be rough, and it;s going to be dangerous, plus I will be away from technology, and will not be able to post. But if through some miracle I can, well then, I'll post I guess.
Until then simply get to know each other, make a day go by so that the concert is close to happening, maybe fight somethings, or some people. But whatever you do, don't stop posting, because that my friends, is Anti-bueno.
