âI'm not afraid of death; I just don't want to be there when it happens.â
"Thank you Hikari. Mochi is my favorite," Hikari smiled faintly before quickly eating her own Mochi. When she was growing up, she was taught never to waste time, so she could never really waste time savoring her food, in some ways she just scarfed it down, ignoring the flavors, and so when she did take time to enjoy food and the tastes, they were new and brilliantly stunning. "I think I am fine for now. The pain is tolerable. It won't be there in a few more minutes though," Hikari nodded slightly, it seemed Haruka had a high tolerance for pain much like herself. Usually when people suffer from great physical, and emotion pain, well after awhile other pains and barely anything to be bothered by. Sadly, most people learned this from experience.
Suddenly, a shout broke through the air, followed by a familiar voice. Hikari groaned inwardly. How he had mandged to wake up her parents was beyond her, but she was sure she would hear hell about it later. They would be in-raged to find out what kind of people she was around nearly everyday. Unless Hikari really moved out tomorrow, she would never hear the end of this. "I suppose it is time for me to take my leave now. His royal majesty is here." she snorted in response. Hikari could tell the other girl was serious, but the way it sounded was just amusing. "Thank you Hikari. I hope we never have to meet like this again. I hope it is in better standings, not one filled with so much death," Hikari watched the red haired girl leave the room before sighing and slowly standing up to follow.
"Tanaka-san, it's okay. He isn't here to harm anyone," Hikari wasn't as kind when she addressed her 'parents' instead she smacked her father right up-side the hand and then grabbed his weapon from his hands, throwing it across the room like it was trash. "Thank you for allowing me to rest, I owe your daughter very much," Hikari smiled at Haruka and waved off her comment before turning towards her parents, nearly growling. "Did you leave your brains in bed?! Don't just fucking raise a weapon to anyone who comes up to your damn door step! I'm surrounded by morons." The younger girl pointed towards the stair case like a mother would when sending her child to their room without dinner. "We'll talk about this tomorrow, just get back to your side of the house." Hikari hissed, not even slightly surprised when her parents listened to her and dismissed themselves.
Hikari glared at the stair case for a moment, before, against her better judgement, followed Haruka outside, through she stopped a few feet away from the two. "I'm sorry, I wasn't sure where to go after we left..." She paused slightly, something in the back of her mind nagging at her. If Azriel was here, did that mean the man that had been the cause of all that dead was dead? "Is that man dead? If he's not we might want to set up some extra security at the Academy." She looked away from the two of them, up towards the sky for a moment, and then back towards Azriel. She wouldn't be able to relax as long as that man was alive. She also wanted to know if she had to be ready to protect the people she cares about if there was another attack on the way.
