Iziah felt weak and sick in the UV floodlights they had put on him while they brought him to the "Playground", as they had been calling it for him. One of the guards had let it sleep he is probably the youngest one there. The UV lights were to keep him weak, so he couldn't teleport while they moved him. Even if they believed he could only teleport to anyplace he saw, and not around any area he had studied extensively like he had been hiding from them, they were still annoyingly cautious.

The Room he was in had a lot of tools and testing equipment. Some of it was standard, other things...only used here probably, for mutants. One of the scientists aproached him, and told him to strip all his clothes off. That only meant one of two things. Either A: Something painful and destructive would be subjected to him to test his regeneration ability, like making him stand near an explosive and then setting it off, or setting him on fire, or trapping him in a water tank with sharks. That last one he hated more then the others.

The second option was that they were about to remove an organ from his body. His regenerative abilities tended to kick in and grow him a new one before he died, but regrowing an entire organ instead of just healing it caused enough pain to send him into a mini coma.

Neither option was entertaining. But if they didn't, they would put UV floodlights on him for a week. He knew they would, they had the last time he defied them. And he couldn't risk that, not when he felt like escape was so close. All he needed is the right timing. He needed time to gather his strength, not under UV lights, and in a situation where he can make some distance before someone notices he is gone and raises the alarms. So he complied, partially because if it was option one, and his clothes got destroyed, he didn't want to have to walk naked back to his cell. However, he did secretly want to kill them all later. Whether he ever acted on it though, would be determined later.

They brought him to the testing ground. He supposed it was better then the other option. Organ removal generally wasn't pleasant, and sometimes they kept him awake for the first part, see how long before he passed out.

Of course, this was before they set him on fire again.
