|| Never Enough|| The Greatest Showman ||
The situation was tense, the entire room holding their breath as they waited for Damian to decide whether or not he wanted to see this supposed succeeding member of his family. "I'm not sure," Damian admitted. "If I really have a living family member, why didn't they reach out to me themselves?" Was it a girl or boy? Old or young? Yui too, was curious as to who the surviving Rey was. Of course, she knew nothing of Damian's family life aside from the fact that they had all been executed per Shoku's instructions as accusations against Damian being a light bearer. Silently the Freedom Fighters waited for Damian to make his decision, which they were fine with him taking his time on all things considering. He had two options, either to ignore the offer and continue living in silent grief, or contact this supposed family member and risk fraternizing with the enemy.
Still, it would be nice to get some sort of closure. "I'll see them," Damian said quietly, coming to a decision. "I'll be taking the time of course, there's no way I'm going to meet his person alone." Xavier clapped Damian on the back, "Smart," he praised with an approving nod, Damian's cheeks flushing in embarrassment and pride. "I want to meet your family!" Yui chirped, hoping that her voicing this was not rude. "You will, or at least, what's left of it." Xavier hit Damian on the back of the head, then promptly hugged him. "We're you're family idiot!" He said loudly, quickly embracing the brown haired boy. Damian's blush betrayed his inner most thoughts although Xavier didn't see it due to the fact that the two boys were hugging.
Yui thought back to this new information, wondering what she was going to do considering everyone was telling her not to trust the Hikari sisters. "But they rescued us," Yui protested, wondering if there was anyone that she could truly trust. Loretta's words rung in her ears, the fact that everyone wanted to use Yui for her abilities. "Let's not linger on these sad topics, let's think more about the movie! I'll take Mizuki to get it ready!" The child chirped and slid out of her seat, taking the handles of Mizuki's wheelchair to drive them into the living room. "I'm worried," Yui confessed once they were out of earshot of the others. "What if Damian's family member tries to steal him from us? What if Fox and Noise coming just throws everyone off?" They would have to train hard together in order to sync their abilities and make sure that they could operate flawlessly.
"Aria is putting up a strong front, everyone is." But well, Aria was easily manipulated by the Matriarch thanks to the darkness and Yui felt partially at fault. Perhaps if she wasn't so weak, she would have been able to protect what was most important to her? Maybe she could have even stopped the Matriarch before the woman had been able to hurt them? Alas, however, Yui was small and hardly able to do anything on her own. She strove to be not just better physically, but mentally as well so that next time they faced enemy, she would be ready. "I just wish there was no war so that we could all enjoy our time together and sit on the beach and have picnics." Wishful thinking of course, since the war had been raging for so long that Japan had forgotten what the sun looked like.
