The run up to Christmas was always a busy time for Georgie, but she loved it. She adored Christmas and everything that came with it. She was recording and posting videos every day, and had been hitting up every Christmas market she could find in search of Christmas presents and unusual finds. Her current plans were to stay in New York for Christmas, but it hadn't stopped her dads trying to convince her to come home. She loved Christmas with her family; it was always sheer chaos and a little rough and ready, but it was perfect to them. But she wanted to try Christmas by herself just once. Flights home were expensive and driving would have taken days, which was her primary excuse.
The party had just added another layer of excitement for Georgie. She had spent her morning decorating the apartment and vlogging the whole thing, before letting Viv have the kitchen to herself to get the food ready. Georgie spent the afternoon editing videos and recording a video getting ready for the party and discussing party safety tips. She'd just finished up as she heard voices enter the apartment. She frowned as she glanced at her phone. She knew that Ray was supposed to be coming early to help Viv finish setting up, but they weren't expecting anyone else for another little while.
