He barely noticed as the food arrived, absorbed as he was in his conversation with Torrie. Her eyes held him like he couldn't even describe.
"So how about you? And just because I can describe my life in a nutshell in ten seconds, don't feel like you have to pack it in like that, I'm sure yours is a more interesting story".

"Problem with that," he said, "is that plumbing and music have one thing in common. You tell yourself you're going to dip your toes, or just try to do it in moderation, and it runs away with you. You turn up at someone's house at 4 in the afternoon to repair a leaking shower, and then as your working a pipe moves causing a rusted joint to break and before you know it you're fitting a whole new water tank. You end up with time for nothing else. Music's the same, you tell yourself 'I'll just sit down for an hour and try to get some lyrics to this song', and then four hours later you're still staring at a blank piece of paper."
He tucked into the sandwich, the smell of it reminding him just how hungry he really was.

Reaching into his pocket for a cigarette and his lighter, Zach gazed into the woods in front of him, trying to still his beating heart. It had barely calmed when he breathed out his first puff of smoke; smoking outside while he had a visiter was something he had taught himself after an old roommate's girlfriend went balistic on him.

The slim tobacco proudct was already in her mouth and Jenson flicked her Bic lighter. She eased back against the wall, her golden eyes finally meeting his figure. She still had an eyebrow raised but finally it lowered when she spoke. "What was that all about?"

When he finished speaking, she nodded her head in understanding. She had many a days forgotten to meet up with the other pack members, because she was off exploring or hunting. She gave him a warm smile which was rare for her, but so was this whole experience. she sighed happily, and took a bite out of her chicken, since she had long ago finished her potatoes. She giggled a bit when she looked up to see him eating his sandwich. grabbing a napkin, and taking a drink, she decided to shed some light on her past for him.
"I really do not have much to tell you about my past, because I am not sure I am really ready to talk about it with you. It is kind of a painful past. I have a feeling you will be great to talk about it with but it is only the first day, so I will Only tell you a few things. First, I am 21 years old. My parents passed away, and I have no siblings. My father was wealthy, but I feel bad using my parents wealth in a spoiled way, and so in the bank it sits. I live with my friends, who are like family to me, and we move around quite a bit, but we have decided to stay here for the school year at least. Everything she had said was true besides her age which was true just the same, because thats how old her body thought it was. "Is there any other information that you would like to know about me?" When she finished talking she took another bite of her chicken, and continued until the chicken was no more, and all that was left was the bone. She picked up her napkin and wiped off her face, and hands, before taking another gulp of water. The waitress returned asking if they needed anything, and refiled Torrie's glass.

Walking over to the fridge and opening it wide, Zach snatched two beers from the cooling unit. It had been a while since he had last endulged in the god-given escape of alcohol, but this seemed like a good time to do it again. Turning to Jenson and smiling kindly, Zachary said, "Alright, I would be more than happy to give you a beer, but I need to see some ID first! Nah, just kidding, take it, but seriously how old are you? You didn't answer me before." He held out the beverage to his guest.
